[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Reverend Dr. David Entry. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen.

[0:13] Be blessed. 1 Corinthians 10, verse 16. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Jesus?

[0:24] Say the blood of Jesus. Say the blood of Jesus. Is it not the communion of the blood of Jesus? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

[0:35] For we though many are one bread and one body. For we all partake of one bread. Observe Israel after the flesh.

[0:50] Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? What am I saying then? That an idol is anything? Or what offer to idols is anything?

[1:06] Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, not to God. Okay, so demons are real.

[1:18] And I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. It's a very important one. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons.

[1:31] You cannot partake of the Lord's table. Say the Lord's table. Say it again. And of the table of demons. Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy?

[1:43] Are we stronger than he? Now, chapter 11, verse 17. Now, in giving these instructions, I do not praise you.

[1:56] Since you come together not for the better, but for the worse. Verse 18. For first of all, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions amongst you.

[2:10] And in part, I believe it. For there must also be factions amongst you that those who are approved may be recognized amongst you. This is very interesting.

[2:22] He's saying that it's okay for some people to disagree with them. See, it will help you to know those who are not approved of the Lord. It's interesting.

[2:34] So, in a church, it's good to let people speak their mind. I mean, I don't believe in fasting. It helps you to, oh, okay. This is one of the people who God is not really approved of. That's what he's saying.

[2:47] He said that I hear their division. And I believe that. And so, a certain level of difference amongst us is necessary to help to know people's level.

[3:01] All right. But this kind of difference amongst you, Church of Corinth, it has gone too far now. He said, no, you Corinthians have taken it too far.

[3:14] The Corinthians are very good at taking things very far. Verse 20. Therefore, when you come together in one place, is it not to eat the Lord's Supper?

[3:26] Say the Lord's Supper. The Lord's Supper. So, earlier on, we had the Lord's table. Now the Lord's Supper. So, verse 20. Let's look at it again. Therefore, when you come together in one place, is it not to eat the Lord's Supper?

[3:42] For in eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others. And one is hungry and the other is drunk.

[3:53] So, Saint Paul come to church to get drunk. That tells you that they had alcohol in church. He said, when you come together for the Lord's Supper.

[4:13] All right. Watch this. This is very important. I'll read verse 20 again. 20 says that, Therefore, when you come together in one place, is it not to eat? Say one place.

[4:23] One place. Say come together. Come together. Say come together. Come together. Say one place. That's the description of church. Church is not what you stay at home and listen. Or watch.

[4:36] Tell those people who stay at home and watch services online. Tell them it's not church. Tell them. Somebody tell them for me. They are not spiritual.

[4:48] It's not church. If you are not well and you are lying in bed, say God forbid. Or you just had a baby. Say that's good.

[5:01] If you've just had a baby. Amen. It should be so for you. If you've just had a baby yesterday. Or the day before yesterday. And you are home. And you are not able to attend fellowship.

[5:13] Then it's okay to be watching. But that is not church for your information. That is just watching. It's not church. It's not church for your to- You said when you come together in one place.

[5:23] How come others are somewhere? Church life. In fact, I think when I finish the church of Laodicea, I probably will go into the Christian church.

[5:39] Church fellowship. People must understand some stuff. one of the key aspects of church is fellowship you can't fellowship with people you can't see or who can't see you you can't see them but if they can't see you it can't be fellowship fellowship is interaction koinonia is the Greek word amen for in eating each one takes his own supper ahead of others and one is, verse 21 one is hungry and the other is drunk what?

[6:12] what? do you not have houses to eat or drink in or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing what shall I say to you?

[6:28] shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you for I receive from the Lord that which I also deliver to you that the Lord Jesus Christ on the same night in which he was betrayed took bread and when he had given thanks he broke it and said take it take take eat this is my body which is broken for you do this in remembrance of me in the same manner he also took the cup after supper saying this cup is the new covenant in my blood do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of me for as often as you eat the bread and drink the cup you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will unworthy manner will be guilty of the Lord's body and blood so guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord but let's let a man examine himself and so let him eat of the bread and drink the cup for he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself not discerning the Lord's body for this reason many are weak and some sick some some sick amongst you and many die sleep for if we will judge ourselves we will not be judged this is interesting isn't it these these are major

[8:03] Christian doctrines that Christians must be familiar with very important as I said the early Christian church they are gathering one major thing that was always there was table there sometimes there may be a few chairs around the table it was characterized with eating why do you think they appointed the first dickens to distribute food because food was such a necessary part of Christianity eating eating was so part of Christianity they have to appoint special leaders to take care of food or daily it was daily daily distribution of food so it's very interesting

[9:06] Bible talks about how if you had a wife of John the Baptist you really have a difficult time because to prepare his dinner will be a lot of work yeah it will be very interesting so some of you ladies are looking for a husband please make sure you don't go for John the Baptist maybe it's good yeah it's good but be ready to pay the price if you are the wife of John the Baptist you know he's died according to Matthew chapter 3 verse 4 Matthew 3 4 what does it say Matthew 3 4 now John himself was clothed in camel's hair with a leather belt did you see his fashion camel's hair with original leather belt your own is synthetic John leather proper one yeah read it with a leather belt around his waist and his food was locusts and wild honey can you imagine and so when John came he was always away from town he didn't like food he wasn't really eating

[10:06] John the Baptist was not a man giving to food and you know what the people said that you are a strange person you are so antisocial and then Jesus came he was always going to parties he was listen some of you have not read your bible very carefully you realize that the first public thing Jesus did with his disciples is they went for wedding reception they went for wedding not the ceremony reception and guess what guess what when they ran out of drink Jesus had to do more for the camp it's in your bible those of you very spiritual God came to show us that food on physical things and spiritual as well I think there's something called is it tarot card or something like that what do you use it for fortune telling yeah fortune how about wija board wija board wija board wija board yes what and and horoscope you can just draw horoscope if you're a good artist it's just physical so it should have been just a basic thing he said don't you know that the food that is offered to idols are offered to demons is food but it's connecting to the spiritual that's what we just read so don't separate physical from the spiritual you look at the wija board and it's like something just physical but it's connecting you to demons tarot card it's connecting you it's physical crystal crystal ball it's just physical but it's connecting you to demons so it's not every chain our way not every ring our way they give you everything you're wearing the truth of spiritual things is that there is always a link between the physical and the spiritual you can access spiritual through physical things so food can connect you to the spiritual

[12:31] Paul said we read it he said don't you know that if you eat when you eat 1 Corinthians chapter 10 you eat food sacrificed to idols you are partaking in the worship of demons but it's just the food I'm not really interested in the other things so those of you who flexology and thinking that it's just you are connecting yourself to something spiritual and you know the last thing Jesus did with his step before he died they had food how about this when he resurrected from the dead on the road to a miles when after I gave them Bible studies he said you have bread they gave him bread he broke it and then he left and he vanished and 30 minutes later they met him sitting he said I'm talking about Luke chapter 24 verse 41 he said have you got food bread read it but while they still did not believe for joy and marveled he said to them have you any food here he used to talk a lot about food have you any food here and guess what what did he do verse 42 so they gave him a piece of broiled fish and some honeycomb and what did he do to him and he took it and ate it in their presence and you know what two weeks later they went fishing he came met them at the sea shore according to John chapter 21 he was roasting fish he brought fish and they sat down and ate

[14:20] Peter was he said Peter do you love me more than this this so you could tell Jesus if I went to Lazarus he used to eat bangku at Lazarus sister's house fish and chips he used to go to Mary and Martha's house to eat fish and chips when he was invited to feast he would go so Jesus was he ate but he fasted some people will say oh you don't have to be eating just fasting fast no no no food is important but fasting is also important and there must be a balance bible says that food is for the stomach not the stomach for food so when you fast you are not doing anything strange because the stomach is not for food but food I think 1st Corinthians 8

[15:20] I suppose so food food is for the stomach and the stomach is not for food tell a certain sister near you that the stomach is not for food one day a young a young boy in class said teacher I want to ask a question teacher teacher would you punish me for what I haven't done the teacher said certainly not he said ok I haven't done my homework hey in Matthew chapter 11 verse 19 son of son of son of man came eating and drinking and they said look a glass food and a wine bible they said he was a glutton because the way he used to eat and drink they said they said he was they said he was they said he was there are you getting what I'm saying

[17:33] I'm talking about your bible if you're a christian he's in your bible religious people so what what has that got to do with so the night before he was betrayed he said get go and look for an upper place where we will have dinner now the jews had this practice going on regularly every year after god delivered them from egypt and the means through which he delivered them he told them I need that I need the blood on the wall every house I need the blood on the doorpost and you stay in the house so that when the the angel of death comes he'll pass over you he won't touch you and then he said to them when you that that lamb you kill I need you to apply the blood but the meat eat it eat the meat in the room in the house and then he told them in verse 26 of exodus chapter 12 that when your children ask you why are we doing this tell them must go from generation to generation so part of what the jews used to do is when it's time for the last the Passover once a year they sit around the table around what yeah they sit around in fact I was

[18:55] I was learning and I found out that in fact we know Bible says that he reclined at the table yeah in those days they didn't have chairs they were not using chairs for dinner and the tables were so low in fact I went somewhere I saw I think somewhere when you go in Asia you sit on the floor and eat yeah India yeah and okay so I didn't go I think I saw it so in those days they reclined at table when you come that's why they have to wash your feet because when people come you they recline so somebody is lying there and then your head is near another person's foot you know sometimes people's foot smells so that's why when you come into a home they have to wash your feet just in case we are reclining at table so people say your foot is too close to somebody's now that's why John the Baptist always used to rest on Jesus' bosom because they reclined they reclined at table they didn't sit they reclined so when they reclined at table then they will ask their children will ask daddy what's the meaning of this communion oh no sorry this Passover and then he will tell the child

[20:16] God told them tell the child God delivered us from and so the night when they were going to have Passover Jesus took the same thing and he said from tonight this thing now changes for you my disciples you have to continue doing this but it changes it changes meaning and significance actually was the lamb that they slaughtered for them to come out of Egypt I am the lamb of God who was slaughtered for you to come out of the world or come out of the powers of darkness so communion is so important why is it called communion some people call it the lost table others call it the lost supper others call it Eucharist and others call it sacrament it's the same thing depending on what tradition and which church when we talk about Eucharist Eucharist how many of you have heard that word before Catholic church Eucharist Eucharist Eucharist you know what Eucharist

[21:18] Eucharist is charis means thank thanks thank you charis it means thank you it means grace gift so we thank you for this so Eucharist means thanks for this gift thanks for so communion is actually a statement of thank you that's why it's called Eucharist I'm just saying thank you we are saying thank you Jesus thank you my Lord so it's it's it's a statement of thanks when you take communion you are thankful to God for what the cross did for you I'll go back into the table and the Eucharist oh sorry the other one sacrament but then the early church were also given to eating as I said in fact in Acts chapter this is very interesting in fact in Acts chapter 2 okay in Acts chapter 2 verse 42

[22:22] Bible says in fact from verse 41 it spoke about how many were added to the church and they were all baptized the same day so from verse 40 41 they were baptized the same day and verse 42 says that after they came to the church Bible says that and they continued in what the apostles doctrines fellowship breaking of bread and prayer who told you breaking of bread is not spiritual now in those days they came together to break bread now when we talk about breaking bread it had two aspects we had the social aspects and the spiritual aspects the social aspect was called love feast and they were doing it every day that's why every church building must have a kitchen you have to learn to have stuff they were doing it every day so in the book of

[23:27] Acts chapter 42 that same 42 47 see what it says 46 and 47 46 so continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house how are they doing it they were going from house to house today we are in your house tomorrow we are in somebody's house to house they were breaking bread from house to house yes they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart it was so part of christian life eating together sharing meal it was so part of the early church some people are so happy it was so part of christian worship so they had the love feast which was social they broke bread together and then they had the watch this they also had the spiritual part which is the lord's table all right so some of the meetings were most of the meetings you come and actually feast that's why paul said why don't you guys wait for the others to come you come and eat and you are full and some are drunk and then others who don't have much at home come and they are stay hungry because when you are coming to church you come with your food and those who don't have food we have to come and then we all wait for everybody and when we come now let's have and then part of it we break we have the lord's table so it was part of the culture of the early church jesus himself was always breaking bread the last thing he did on earth with his disciples was to eat before he died the night he was betrayed he took bread what do you think what bread was he took bread and broke it and gave it so it was a normal culture of jews to always have this meal and then jesus gave it a significant interpretation most people believe that watch this this is very important most people believe that the communion is just a symbol so it's just well just something in wine and others also believe that it's not just a symbol in fact when i was in the catholic church the communion once we pray or the father prays over it or the officiating minister prays over it they believe it changes substance to become the actual body of christ i was a master for many years i know what i'm talking about because catholics believe that that is the actual that's why when you come for communion the father will either put it in your mouth or you have to put and then the master are supposed to stand there with a tray so just in case the crown falls because it's christ it doesn't have to touch on the floor so in the olden days it's theologically it is called transubstantiation trans change of substance it's no more natural bread but it becomes the body so transubstantiation but that is really not scriptural and then others also came in with during the reformation they came with a different understanding corn substantiation corn you know chili corn always means with okay yeah corn when you see the word corn not corn man but corn or corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn corn

[27:19] So corn means with. So corn substantiation means as soon as the thing enters your mouth, it changes to become Jesus. With your eating, it changes.

[27:31] No. It still remains ordinary bread, but it's not just ordinary. Even though it doesn't change from what it is, it is a means to access and contact something spiritual.

[27:47] Does that make sense? So the communion is linked to contact something supernatural. So he said that because you fail to recognize what it is, some of you are sick and you stay sick.

[28:03] You are about to be healed by this thing, but you still remain sick. And then some of you even die because certain death shouldn't have happened if people were eating communion properly. It's in your Bible.

[28:16] Bible. Bible. Are you getting something? To now we are going to eat some communion. Let's go back to Acts.

[28:26] Sorry. 1 Corinthians chapter 11. When it comes to the communion, there are three things I would appreciate for us to remember.

[28:42] Three things. Number one, verse 23. Read the verse 23. Of 1 Corinthians chapter 11, verse 23. For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which he was betrayed took bread.

[28:59] And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, Take, eat. This is my body which is broken. The reason why we call it the Lord's table is, as the Bible said, you handle the Lord's table.

[29:12] It's about we are eating. We are sharing the body of Christ. Now, where is the body of Christ? Because when he died, oh, this is important. When he died, he resurrected and went to heaven.

[29:25] So, as it were, his body is in heaven. So, when we take communion, we recognize that this body was shed for our redemption.

[29:36] Oh, this body was bruised for our iniquities and the blood was shed for our redemption. So, when we take communion, we recognize his body. At the same time, we are also making a statement that we are part of his body which is on earth here.

[29:55] So, that's why 1 Corinthians 10 says that even though we are many, we are one body. Even though we are many, read it, verse 16.

[30:08] Verse 16. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The body which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

[30:19] For we, though many, are one bread and one body. Are one bread. Even though we are many, we are one bread and we are one body. So, we are the physical representation of Jesus, the body of Jesus.

[30:31] That's why we take communion. All right. This is very important to understand. So, communion is not for non-Christians. It's not for non-Christians. When I was a Catholic, I was in a Catholic school and all my friends, classmates, when we go for mass, you are not supposed, if you are not a Catholic, you are not supposed to eat the communion other than that.

[30:53] People used to fear. Some of the bad boys who eat it and up to now, they are fine. But actually, the Catholic service is about the communion.

[31:11] The mass is about the communion. They can have service without preaching. But they can never have service without communion. It's called mass. Okay.

[31:23] So, those of you who have been to Catholic church, I used to go 14 times a week. Morning mass, evening mass, morning mass, evening mass, morning mass, evening mass, morning. And every time, we have communion.

[31:34] Actually, we come for communion and go, which is very interesting. But the word, so we sometimes, first Bible reading is not taken, second Bible reading, the priest will just come and read the gospel according to John.

[31:45] After the gospel according to John, then we start the communion process. He doesn't preach, he doesn't say anything. Because we came to eat. Yeah, it's about eating.

[32:02] It's about the Lord's, the Eucharist. Why is it called, some places, it is called the Lord's table, I showed you, we saw it in the Bible. Or other places, it's called the Lord's supper. It's actually about the Lord.

[32:13] It's a table with the Lord. Supper with the Lord. So what we are about to have today is Lord's supper. We are about to have supper with the Lord. And it is also called, Eucharist, and then sacrament.

[32:27] Holy sacrament. It's also called sacrament because, sacrament in the, in the days of the Caesars, sacramentos, sacramentos, means, allegiance, pledging allegiance, if, so it's like, I pledge, my allegiance to Caesar, and even if he have to, if I have to die, I'm willing to die for, that's the allegiance, or to death.

[32:55] So every soldier, who joins the army, had to pledge allegiance, to protect Caesar and Rome, and the interest of Rome, and even if he has to be unto death, that's called sacramento.

[33:08] Sacramento. One of these is, I want to preach there about the judgment of God. The judgment of God is in two ways. You know, every anger, when the Bible uses the word anger, there are two ways in Greek anger.

[33:22] One, is simerian anger. Most of you have simerian anger, which is like, you know when you put milk, on the fire, and you forget, and you go, first of all, it will be simerian.

[33:36] And it's looking for your attention. If you don't give it the attention, it simmers, then begin to, so anger, some of you, your anger simmers, it goes in.

[33:49] So people will not know you are angry. Some of you, your anger boils over, so quickly, everybody will know that she is angry. How many of you are the simmering anger? Simmers, people don't know you are angry.

[34:01] How many of you have the boiling over anger? Oh, why are you pretending? And how many of us have both? How many of you have both? Okay.

[34:14] And how many of you don't like raising your hands in church? So, so which one do you think God has?

[34:31] Both? God is slow to anger, but there is a time, when he is going to, vent his anger. And God, how do you know God is angry at a nation?

[34:45] When people begin to be, get perverted. Shows that God is angry against them, because he begins to withdraw his boundaries on the body. It's in Romans.

[34:56] It's in the Bible. Everything I'm telling you is in the Bible. Sexual licentiousness and promiscuity, in a freedom, libertinism, in a community, in a society, is a sign.

[35:10] That God is angry. It's in Romans chapter 1, for those of you who don't know, just read your Bible. I don't want to go further, because it's not part of mine.

[35:25] So, God is simmering, but people can't see it. The anger of God is building up. Some of you, you know, I don't know how many of you have fornicated before, or been in church and messing up.

[35:39] God's anger will be building up, but you won't know. It's building up, and he's trying to give you leeway to change. Change. Stop the drugs. Stop the drugs.

[35:52] Somebody will shoot your leg. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yes, because Carri's members don't die. Nobody here is permitted to die.

[36:07] This year, I mean, in Jesus' name. Next year too, I will start saying this. As long as you are here, I will say it. It's a rolling contract.

[36:28] Wow. So, what was I being talking about? The anger of God. Let's leave that out. I want to be teaching on some things. I want to be teaching on hell.

[36:39] About hell. Because some of you, really, is it real? We have to find out in the Bible about hell. We have to find out about the second coming of Christ. We have to find out about the judgment.

[36:51] We have to find out when you die, when somebody dies, between now and the time of judgment, what happens? We have to find out who is going to do the judgment. We have to find out because it's appointed unto man once to die after that judgment.

[37:04] And so, listen, you can't know when you are going to die. We will all die at different times, but we will all be judged at the same time. Yeah, so, the way you celebrate your birthdays, all right, let's get back to communion.

[37:27] So, Sacramento, the Christians, and I told you last Sunday in Russia, years ago, some Christians were having fellowship and some Russian, two Russian, so just went there. because it was prohibited.

[37:38] Went there and they said, hey, you guys have having fellowship? They were scared. They said, hey, those two are not Christians. Leave this room right now. Those two are not Christians. And some people took their back. Like those are the back.

[37:50] They said, me, I was just invited. I didn't know what they were doing. I just came. These two have took their back. And after, after they have left, the soldiers said, now guys, shut the door. They put their guns down.

[38:01] They said, now we can have fellowship. We have sacked all the fake ones. Because other than that, they will go and blow the cover on the soldiers. So let those who are not genuine Christians, let them go and let us have fellowship.

[38:14] So, in the second century, first decade of the second century, this Roman governor went and caught these Christians who were fellowshipping.

[38:31] And so he sent, he wrote a letter to Caesar and told Caesar, I have arrested some Christians. What should I do to them? And then Caesar wrote a letter back. When you found them, what were they doing?

[38:43] And then he sent, he sent a letter to Caesar. When I found them, they were together singing about Jesus Christ as their Lord. And they were eating food, saying that, pledging their sacramento to Jesus.

[39:03] Eating food and, which, the body and blood of Jesus, they were eating food and pledging their sacramento to Jesus. And Caesar said, it is utterly prohibited for anybody to pledge their sacramento to anybody apart from Caesar.

[39:22] Because of that, execute them. And so the Christian church have always practiced sacramento. That's why it's called sacrament. So tonight, we are going to practice what?

[39:37] Sacramento. And so, we are going to have some communion. Now, three, three ways to look at the communion.

[39:49] Number one, verse 23, can you read it again? For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which he was betrayed took bread.

[40:00] And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, take, eat, this is my body which is broken for you. Now, that word broken for you, King James, in the King James, it says broken for you.

[40:11] But actually, in the original, it said, this is my body which is for you. The body is for us. Because his body was not broken anyway.

[40:23] He took bread and bread, but his body was not broken. So, when you read other versions, especially the New American Standard Version and I think Revised Standard Version, it tells you that this is my body which is for you.

[40:34] that just to throw that in. But he said that, take, take this, take it, this is my body which is for you. And when Jesus, before Jesus left his disciples, he told them, when they are going to have the last supper, he told them that let's have communion, let's have the last supper.

[40:59] And when he said, take, this is the my teacher of 26 from verse 27 or 26 that was, verse 29 says that, for, I will no longer read it.

[41:10] Verse 29. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you. We are going to drink it again. This time with him, when we have all met.

[41:23] We are going to have feasts. Isn't it? Doesn't this sound like he who hears my voice and lets me come in. I'll come in and dine with him. In the great kingdom, we are going to, it doesn't sound like the wedding supper, marriage, feast of the lamb.

[41:41] He said, I am drinking, this is the last time in the flesh, I'm drinking this with you. The next time, it's going to be when we meet in the kingdom. Guys, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, we are going to meet Jesus and we are going to have a feast.

[41:55] We are going to have a feast. Modern day, modern day church, people don't like these things. Oh, Jesus is coming, going to have a feast. That's why you don't fear hell. Most people don't fear hell.

[42:12] Because they actually don't even want to talk about hell. Because it cannot be real. I mean, how can, how can a loving God send somebody to hell?

[42:24] And the question is, how can a God of justice not punish injustice? So you are looking at it from one angle, but you forget that he is a God of justice.

[42:36] So justice must be upheld. That's why there must be hell. For those who are breaking the law of God, he said, leave them, let them break it. They will later on, I will come and execute judgment.

[42:48] Oh, there must be judgment. I will show you how hell was not made for man. It was made, he said, prepared for Satan and his angels. But some of us, some, not us here, some people have chosen that they want to be where the demons are.

[43:08] Hell is not an easy thing. Hell is not an easy. All this running up and down thinking that you are suffering, you are trying to make money. Don't make it at the expense of your soul.

[43:19] Don't make it at the expense of your soul. What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? You are so desperate to marry, you don't mind going to hell.

[43:31] Hell is real. Jesus spoke more about hell than any other person.

[43:43] Well, so, verse 24. 1 Corinthians 11, 24. And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, take, eat, this is my body which is broken for you.

[43:58] Do this in remembrance of me. Do this in what? Remembrance of me. Say it again. How should you do this? In remembrance of me. And so, three ways to remember, to understand the communion.

[44:11] Number one is commemoration. Commemoration. To remember. Remember. Can you imagine? Listen, guys, listen. He said, I need you to, there's a, I told you the other day, there's a Chinese proverb which goes like this.

[44:26] If you want to be remembered, plant a tree, build a house, give birth to a son, or build a house. Sorry, or write a book. That's a Chinese proverb.

[44:36] So, that's how a man can be remembered. Plant a tree, or build a house, or write a book, or give birth to a son. That's a Chinese proverb. And Jesus, they didn't do any of these two for his remembrance.

[44:49] He didn't say, you know what, let's build a nice monument. Let's build a nice monument, or a nice painting, and use that to remember me.

[45:00] So, some of us, when we go, I have a picture of my dad. You know, and pastor, I was dead. But the picture we have of pastor, I was dead, and my dad, was not when they were just about to die.

[45:13] None of us would like to have a picture of someone you love, who, when they were just, at the moment of dying, sometimes they deform. You don't want to remember them that way. But Jesus said to me, I want you to remember me in my death.

[45:27] You don't need a monument. You don't need anything. Remember me in my death, the way I died. Don't gather around the tomb.

[45:38] Gather around the table to remember me in my death. So, when we come, when we come to the Lord's table, it's different from the Lord's tomb. We come to the table to remember him in his dying, how he died for us.

[45:55] In, I feel like preaching, pastor. in Esther chapter 6, verse 1, Bible says that, the king, one day, was trying to rest.

[46:07] But that night, he could not sleep. That night, the king could not sleep. Read it. Esther 6, 1, that night, the king could not sleep.

[46:18] So, one was commanded to bring the book of the records of the chronicles, and they were read before the king. And it was found written that Mordecai had told of Bithana and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs, the doorkeepers, who had sought to lay hands on the king, Asarius.

[46:36] They planned to kill the king. They planned to execute the king, assassinate the king. Close people who work in the palace. They are worse than Shibna.

[46:48] Shibna was just lining his pockets, but this is why they wanted to kill the king. So, they planned to kill the king. And you know what? One man in the kingdom saved the king's life.

[47:03] Saved the king's life, but you know what? Life went on and they forgot about the one who saved the king's life. Until one night, the king could not sleep.

[47:18] Why are we having church? It's good to know Jesus is in my heart, but we shouldn't just know him be in our heart. We should always remember how he died for us. Let's remember his death to save us.

[47:31] He died to, so Jesus said, remember me this way. Remember my dying for you. Yeah, I need you to know that I'm still living, but remember I died for you.

[47:42] So, when we come to communion, the communion table, when we come to the Eucharist, when we come to the sacrament, when we come to the Lord's Supper, what we are doing is we are remembering him who died and shed his blood for us.

[47:57] Matthew chapter 26, verse 28. He said, this is the blood of the new covenant. We shall be shed for many for the remissions of sins. Remember me in this way. Remember me.

[48:09] Remember me. That's so nice that we are about, we are taking communion and you remember that your sickness, he was bruised for your transition and the chastisement for your feast was upon him.

[48:20] By his stripes, we are healed. You remember that? Remember the work of your cross. I know doctors have given you medication or have given you, as you are taking medication, let communion also enter.

[48:35] Don't only stay on medication. Continue on medication but connect yourself to the supernatural by having communion. Remember that someone has died for your sickness.

[48:51] It's in the Bible. It says by his stripes we were healed. By his stripes. 1 Peter 2 verse 24. By his stripes, we are healed. So, if we are healed by his stripes, then he is healed.

[49:11] And when we are taking communion, that's the time to remember. Remember. Remember. Don't be afraid. Why are you so much afraid that like you can't take communion?

[49:22] And the communion helps us to commemorate, to remember. Number two, he helps us to have communion.

[49:33] In other words, we fellowship around, he says, the cup of blessing which we bless. Is it not the cup of the Lord? We are having fellowship, communion around the table of the Lord.

[49:50] So, watch this. He had, oh, I like this one. I like this one. The communion has past significance, present significance, and future significance.

[50:01] So, commemoration, communion, and consummation. Well, as we keep taking it, it's showing how we are going to be the king again.

[50:11] Ah! And all is there in that text. Read it again, please. Verse 24, that was 1 Corinthians chapter 11. Is somebody learning something at all?

[50:24] Some of you prefer, 1, 2, receive, take it, and then Satan comes to knock on your door, and he says, Pastor, no, no, no, you see, there's nothing in your head.

[50:39] When Satan came to Jesus, he said, if you are the son of God, command this bread, this stone to be turned into bread, you know, bread, he came, I told you that Satan, when he wants to tempt you, when he's looking for you, offer you food, he did it to Adam, and he came to the second Adam too, he said, if, if you are the son of God, command that this stones be turned into bread, and then Jesus said, it is written.

[51:05] He didn't say his opinion, he quoted the scripture, his understanding of the scripture is what gave him an upper hand over the devil.

[51:18] You, there's, you're only listening to music, you are giving to entertainment, always thinking about enjoyment, you don't like anything that looks like enjoyment, but the more you give yourself to God's word, the more you have an upper hand over the devil, the more you don't need regular prayer to be offered on your head, people who all, whose heads always, hands must be laid on to be prayed for and receive, receive, receive, you know, it's a sign that they are not growing, and Satan likes them, Satan like Christians who are not growing, he's very comfortable with them, but I see you grow in Jesus name, that's why

[52:21] I've taken extreme delight in teaching this because you got to know, you don't have to be an ignorant Christian and every time we are just having communion, communion, communion, communion, why are we having the communion, if aliens come and see us, what's going on, we have to tell them that we are commemorating and we are communion and we are consummating, they must know, you must be able to give a reason for the hope that is in you, according to 1 Peter 3 verse 15, is somebody learning something at all?

[52:54] I know some of you are very bored, no, no, it's just those of you in front, some people at the back there, they are not interested, but hello, since hell is real, we will not stop upholding the word of God, per adventure somebody gets saved, somebody must be saved, saved, Jesus died to save us from our sins, it is your sins that will send you to hell, so when we have communion we are remembering how he died to save us from our sins, shout amen, amen, Pastor just finish that bit so we can close, 1 Corinthians 11 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, take, eat, this is my body which is broken for you, do this in remembrance of me, in the same manner he also took the cup after supper saying, this cup is the new covenant in my blood, this do as often as you drink it in remembrance of me, 20, as often, say as often, as often, so the early church was given the responsibility of regularly doing this, together, there regularly, regularly, it was, because every time we gather, we have to remember the

[54:14] Lord, so regularly remembering the Lord, regularly remembering the Lord, regularly remembering the Lord, how do we remember him in this, now, there are two things he gave us to remember his death, one, is just to start the process, and then the other one is to keep doing it every time, to remember, first one to start the process is baptism, in baptism, we identify with his death, burial, and resurrection, in communion, we remember his death, we proclaim his death, until he comes back, we keep declaring, it's a declaration, it's a confirmation, confession, it's a confession, we are making a confession to the powers that be, we are making a confession to the principalities and powers that we are bought with blood, you need blood, anytime blood flows, that means that someone has died, blood shed just means death, so Jesus had to shed his blood, so we, through his death, might live, so as you take the, he said, this is the blood of the new covenant, there is, there is a covenant in the blood, there is an agreement, he said, it's like, let me use a normal day-to-day way, okay, but even though the original is stronger than that, it's a contract, it's a contract, you sign an agreement, and those days, covenant means that a contract that has been signed, between a king, someone who is more powerful, with a less powerful one, and then, so if you touch like, this,

[56:08] NATO, thank you, NATO, if you touch any member, if Russia touches any member of NATO, attacks the whole of NATO, in other words, there are allied forces, several nations have come together to form NATO, so that if you attack one of the nations, you have attacked the whole NATO, it's a treaty, it's a contract, it's a pact, between that nation, and that's why they're trying to add Georgia also, and Russia said, no, you can't do that, because NATO at our doorstep, so, so, covenant is like a mighty one coming into an agreement and a contract with you, that if they touch me, you join me, fight them, if they touch you, I will fight them for you, and that's covenant, it's a contract, it's an agreement, and Jesus said, there's a new agreement in my blood with God, between man and God, the sickness must know you are in covenant, that sleeplessness must know you are in covenant, that confusion over your marriage, over your life, must know that you are in a covenant with

[57:19] God, shout amen, shout I am in a covenant, with almighty God, with almighty God, hallelujah, hallelujah, so he said as often, read it verse 25, verse 25, in the same manner he also took the cup after supper saying, this cup is the new covenant in my blood, this do as often as you drink it in remembrance of me, 26, for as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till he comes, he has it right, but you keep saying that he died for me, he died for me, he died for me, I'm covered, he died, first going through chapter six, verse 20, it says that for you have been bought with blood of Christ, so glorify God in your body, that what it says, really, for you were bought at a price, come on, you were bought at a price, that can't just come and harass you, you have been bought at the price, at the price, you've been bought at the price, what's the price, the blood of Jesus, when you take communion, you are proclaiming and declaring,

[58:35] I have been bought at the price, I have been bought at the price, I have been bought at the price, hallelujah, you haven't bought the blessedness of being a Christian you haven't bought at a price God purchased you himself, he bought you he bought you can you imagine you've gone to buy a puppy a dog or a kitten and you see that big fox trying to come and play around what you will do to that even if it's someone you try and protect the kitten how much more the one you have bought that fish, golden fish in your aquarium and that small cat want to jump it, you bought this one very expensive one I have been bought hallelujah, somebody say I have been bought I have been bought read it again 1 Corinthians 6 20 for you were bought at a price therefore glorify God in your body that one too must be taken into consideration your living must bring honor to God glorify God not in your mind most of us we glorify him in our minds we glorify him in our worship we glorify him only in our service but your body your body bro your body sister it's not everybody who must handle your body why why somebody has bought you why do you let some other people mishandle you and sometimes when you dress you have to dress like someone who has been bought not someone who is still on the market

[60:32] I know that summer is coming just today it got slightly hot you are behaving like you have not been bought and you are coming to collect a miracle no cover up dice cleavage cover it up because you have been bought with a price shout yes and if it is leggings or jeggings wear a longer top to cover what has been bought already it's not for sale when you cover it means that sold all the property is gone it has been bought when you go to Ikea there is a corner in Ikea where some items have been reduced to clear when you get there maybe you saw this cabinet you were so interested but you see they slapped it on the sold yes sister brother sold some of you are not happy at all

[61:37] I am just saving you from the fire of hell I have been bought I have been bought my lips have bought my eyes have been bought my breasts have been bought my buttos have been bought my stomach have been bought everything has been bought tell somebody I am sold out it is finished it is gone yeah yeah yeah I am sold out everything is gone it is finished none is left just in case you are thinking someone is going to be interested in marrying you you are already bought when he is coming he is coming to marry a purchased person so he has to go through Christ some of you you are allowing guys to come closer who don't want to go through Christ but they still can find you when they start breaking your heart you go to Christ and talk to Christ about them

[62:50] Christ will say this one I don't know this one it didn't come to me he came straight to you you went and did your own contract sort it out yes and actually actually we tell you actually you are wanted you you are wanted I bought you and you are going to resell yourself to somebody breach of contract breach of contract you have been bought brother stop letting brother she has been bought brother you have been bought why do you use your hands like that your hands have been bought brother take it off they are ladies cleavage take it off alright let's go to communion you see I don't like this kind of preaching at all wait we don't like your kind of

[64:03] Christian at all who doesn't like preaching that make people wake up you have a name that you are alive but you are dead alright just to finish there's something from verse 26 there's something we need to see that I like that very much 1 Corinthians 11 26 for as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you proclaim the Lord's death till he comes therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body you just ignore it's not body it doesn't matter it's just something you are eating you are mishandling it he said you'll be guilty right will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord but let a man examine himself and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup examine yourself as you are going to approach it examine yourself that you are approaching this thing with a worthy heart it doesn't mean you have never seen or you haven't seen it means that even if you are seen you are approaching it as it is it's to make a declaration of the death of Christ share fellowship with the body of Christ and look forward to the coming of Christ so that's what you are doing give me two and you collect it no no please please don't eat it unworthily look at it continue for he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself

[65:35] King James says damnation judgment to himself not discerning the Lord's body you have to discern the Lord's body yeah verse 30 for this reason many are weak and sick among you and many sleep you didn't discern the Lord's body so you are weak this thing was about to make you strong you are weak many are weak and sick because it's not just ordinary bread not ordinary wine or ordinary rabina or whatever we use not ordinary it carries it's connecting you it's a vehicle to connect just like the tarot card to connect you to the supernatural to connect you to something beyond the natural so it's not just physical and you see anytime we divorce the physical from the spiritual we are beginning to get into trouble as Christians because they go together that's why you have to serve God with your body because your body is also spiritual you don't say

[66:37] I'm just no no you have to everything even your eating is a spiritual activity going to work as a Christian okay this is my job so that one is not worshipped no no everything about your physical existence is an aspect of your worship it's very important husband and wife your argument you are spoiling your worship your your your your fellowship at whatever level is part of worship yeah husband and wife fellowship a lot is spiritual it's spiritual it's spiritual there was a husband who came to me and was believing God for some breakthrough of business and every time there was contention in his house I said brother until you serve this thing our prayers will not work because we are praying but the atmosphere in your house is polluting is polluting or undermining the efficacy of the prayers every time you and your wife are arguing and calling arguing and calling that's why your promotion was compromised that's why you were just about to be promoted a door was about to be opened and it was slammed in your face and it's not that

[67:56] God is against you but it's because spiritually things are not favorable and so Satan can take advantage of you so if I were you try quickly and make peace at home try quickly I don't know who I'm talking to try quickly and make peace at home oh I didn't like the way the other time he was really talking or the other time she was really talking and I didn't have told her that she didn't do that she really hurt me you see you actually you are also hurting your future you are hurting divine intervention you are hurting yourself you are hurting the family no not because why you are you are blocking what God is potentially bringing the blessing you're coding it off you're blocking it off because of the watch this because of the tension in your marriage that's why don't be in a rush to grab anybody at all marry marry someone who when you marry you are going to have very minimal level of tension because the tension will get your emotions and sometimes hard to sort it out so go for less tension less tension every time argument the first week you match every time you haven't even gone out for one month every time argument or the women who are desperate to marry what they do is that they so they defer so they just become quiet they simmer they simmer they simmer they become quiet finish saying

[69:39] I do and then she will punish you for I doing yeah and he will take you out normally what they do is they take the guy out of the church because our church you can't be here and be messing up we will hunt you down if we don't know our preaching will find you out then people say someone went to somebody and said pastor what did you tell pastor I spoke to you and went and told the pastor and the lady said what are you talking about me he said I spoke to you and he went and told pastor and pastor was talking about it in the church he said me and he said don't you know pastor is a prophet he said no no this one I know you told him this one is not a prophet I know you told him yes and that was supposed to be a leader two leaders and I realized that people can be leaders but they don't even believe in the ministry and so when I was being told I was thinking whoa now I'm curious what is it that I said can you bring her to me and let her say what because I want to know what she has been doing now my natural curious okay what is it that I said about her which she thought others have told me me

[70:46] I said I didn't even know I was talking to her but now she has allowed me that you were talking to her tell me what was I talking to you about I also want to know you yeah so they will take the man out of the church and go and divorce him yeah because liberation movement some of you are not ready won't be ready and don't intend to be ready to be submitted in marriage I know it how do I know when I'm preaching you can't even smile I can't tell I can't read your heart on your face yeah especially when I speak about things that on the surface look very strong and harsh some people cringe it's telling me a lot about you but you are not lighthearted you take everything so critical and serious you are so judgmental when you hear me saying that hey brother get up why did you come in here go and stand in the back and then you begin to get offended for him you don't know you don't know

[72:11] I noticed that you are going to be a dangerous wife or a dangerous husband because in marriage this is the norm it's the norm they will step on your toe not intentionally some of it intentionally he said we will jump on it we will step on it we will jump on it I'm telling that's what we have and do you know why we have so many divorces because people are becoming so self-centered and insisting on their rights the more you insist on your rights the more you are going to have a miserable marriage I don't like the way I'm being treated I don't like the way my wife talks I'm tired I'm tired this woman is like this this woman is like this but you forgot about who you also are in fact what we haven't told you is we are surprised that you got a wife alright communion so please it says that people are sick die some die weak sick and some die because they did not recognize the body

[73:34] I just wanted to take my time to explain to you the principle behind the communion it's very spiritual and Jesus takes it very personal and serious he said if you are going to forget me never forget I died for you don't be like in Azaros who forget somebody saved his life forgot you were saved by my blood and you don't belong to yourself don't forget when someone upsets you don't forget I died for you so the way you are going to represent me at least consider me true because I died for you I paid a very heavy price for you to be saved so at least value the salvation I know somebody upsets you in church but value the salvation value it above your feelings am I not preaching at all thank you thank you Jesus we thank God for using his servant Reverend
