Get Wisdom
[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another word-filled message by David Entry. Preaching is the means by which God manifests his word and nourishes our spirits.
[0:12] May the life of God enter into you anew as you listen to this message. Be blessed. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Praise God.
[0:25] Hallelujah. Amen and amen. Pastor, Jesus said, I have to do the works of him that sent me.
[0:37] John chapter 9 verse 4. I have to do the works of him who sent me whilst it's day for the night comes when no man can wake. He said the night is coming.
[0:53] He says the night is coming. What happens at night from the text? What happens at night? No man can wake.
[1:03] He's not talking about natural night. He's talking about a particular period in your life when you can do what will bring you reward in heaven. Jesus said, I must work.
[1:19] He said, I must work. He said, I must work. He said, I must work the works of God. It's interesting. It's not every work which is the works of God.
[1:33] Some works are not the works of God. He said, I must work the works of him. Watch this is a very interesting person. Pastor Frank, you catch this.
[1:44] This is a very interesting one. He said, I must work the work of him who sent me. In other ways, he sent me to carry out a particular assignment.
[1:57] And that assignment, he has sent me to carry out. If I do something else, I have missed it. So, Pastor Paul can be doing something and that's what he has been sent to do.
[2:12] If I copy him, I'm not working the works of him who sent me. It may look like it is the work of God, but I am not doing what God wants me to do. Are you getting what I'm saying?
[2:22] And what God has sent you to do is time sensitive. I pray that you don't outgrow your potential.
[2:36] Some of you didn't understand what I meant. Can you please rise to your feet? Let's assume God has endowed him.
[2:52] With one of the best footballing skills in the world. How many of you agree with me that he has outgrown that potential? It's too late.
[3:06] He can't play professional football. This man is too old. To play professional football, you must start very early.
[3:18] Does that make sense? Some of us, you are praying, but something is going to disqualify you. That's what I want to talk about this evening. I have to work the works of him who sent me whilst this day.
[3:30] For the night comes when no man can work. There's a season coming when you can be able to produce what you have to do. Anything you have to do for God, this is the time. And some of us, actually, you are running out of time.
[3:44] Because a lot of your time has been spent on other things. On other things. It's sad that some of us, if we ask you right now, you have been a Christian for a while now, but there is no soul, you can say, this one, I brought him into Christ and I've established him and he's doing well.
[4:02] Don't be making noise about how long you have been in church until you have souls to prove. You must have souls to validate how long you've been in Christ.
[4:14] Oh, those people who said I've been in church for a very long time, you know, I've always been in church. Please, please, please. Please, please, validate your longevity in church.
[4:27] Validate it. You have been in church a long time. Show us your souls, your works. Some of us are serious prayer warriors.
[4:39] You can pray and pray and pray and pray. You can pray for hours. You are praying and praying and praying, but there are no results. You can spend time in prayer that don't bring results.
[4:59] So, we must work the works. Say, work the works. In Mark chapter 6 verse 2, they marveled at the worst.
[5:13] That Jesus was speaking. And the Bible says that, and when the Sabbath day had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, why did this man get these things?
[5:31] They were astonished, and they said, where did this man get these things? And watch this. And where did this man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to him, that such mighty works?
[5:47] Say works. Works. Say works. Works. So, he said, what wisdom is this which is given to him, that such mighty works were performed by his hands?
[5:58] So, they said, wisdom is works. This man has some wisdom. And how could they quantify the wisdom?
[6:11] By the works. Works. Matthew chapter 11, verse 19, Jesus said that, there was, John the Baptist came, they said he wasn't eating.
[6:26] They said he was, he had a problem. Jesus came, he was eating. They said, he was a one, one biba, or biba, and a friend of tax collectors, and sinners.
[6:37] But wisdom is justified by her children. They will say all kinds of things about you, but your productivity based on wisdom is what will show, what you have been doing is worth it.
[6:50] Today, I had a friend, a guy I know, I met him, I was telling him that, you know, I've been born again, I've been a Christian since the time I was a teenager. And I attended some of the good schools, and because of that, my classmates, some of my classmates are doing well.
[7:06] Do you understand what I'm saying? Yeah, sometimes, some schools where you go, you have a lot of classmates that are at some places. Other schools too, it's hard to find. And if one manages to go up, the school makes a big issue about it, you know.
[7:23] But I was telling him, and I said, some of my classmates are top, I mean, I'm talking about big guys in every sphere of endeavor.
[7:35] And I was telling the guy that, you know, most of my friends are doing well, and, but when, some of them are, you know, all of that, but when we meet, and our year group, guys have been spoken about, I don't lack, I'm not behind.
[7:51] I'm not behind. When I meet them, in fact, when I meet them, I'm not behind in any way. Why am I saying that? Because I pursued God, and I gave God my all, and the works of God, wisdom works of God.
[8:06] I'm talking about wisdom. When the Bible says wisdom, it's not talking about, the biblical wisdom is not an intellectual thing, it's a moral thing.
[8:19] So you can be heavily and highly educated, and yet you lack the wisdom the Bible is talking about. Somebody say wisdom. Wisdom.
[8:29] Wisdom is important. Without wisdom, you are wasting. One of the things we have to believe God for is wisdom, and wisdom is justified by her children.
[8:46] Luke chapter 7, verse 35. Wisdom is just, how do you know someone has wisdom? Their works, their products, their results will show. How do you know a man has wisdom in his marriage?
[9:01] Look at the condition in his marriage. If you have wisdom, you can be married to a very difficult person, and still, there will be peace at home. The way you keep fighting, it's a lack of wisdom thing.
[9:17] I didn't understand this until as I grew up, I realized that people like Bishop David O'Reilly, the Pope, is not just an anointing, but the guys are heavy in wisdom. I'm not talking about in calculation or human ways of understanding things, but wisdom to get godly results.
[9:34] When we talk about wisdom, it's different from knowledge. He's talking about knowing what to do at a given instance to bring to bear the purpose of God on a particular or a person's life.
[9:46] So you can be achieving so much, but yet you don't have anything to show so long as God's plan for your life is concerned. And we, all of us, as a church, the other time we are at the prayer meeting and then we are praying for God, our auditorium, our auditorium, and then something entered my spirit.
[10:04] We have been praying for it for a long time, but we have to now begin to pray that God give us the protocols that will lead to getting the auditorium. And I gave an illustration.
[10:16] I was married, we didn't have a child. I sowed seeds. I met different men of God because I knew that if you do these things, it can bring an open heavens. I kept doing that. I kept doing different things.
[10:26] But I told them that I believed that as I was doing so, I saw this man of God. I treated him. I honored him. He prayed for me. I sowed seeds, different things. This one, I did this.
[10:37] But as I was doing that, they were all good. But that was not the key. Until one day, I was in a pastor's conference sitting near a pastor friend and he whispered to me that Bishop is in town.
[10:48] He's going to meet him. He called him to come and meet him privately. He just came to rest and he's going. I said, ah, that man, let me give you a seed. So I signed the fattest check I've ever signed in that time and I gave it to him.
[11:02] When you go, give it to Bishop. He doesn't know me. We have never met. He doesn't need to see me. Give it to him because I believe there's something on him for me. And then I gave him the seed.
[11:13] He sent it. The next day when we came to the pastor's conference, he said, I gave it to me last night. He lifted it. He said, Lord, remember. That was, I think, in October or so. By February, my wife was pregnant after six and a half years of waiting.
[11:25] And I've always made reference that that thing, there are other things I did, but that particular thing was, you see, you can be praying, but if you lack wisdom on what to do to trigger your testimony, you will be still there and praying and fasting and praying, but you are lacking what to do.
[11:42] And I taught them, if you want to be a medical doctor, please find a medical school. Don't just go and hide somewhere praying the Lord, I'll be a medical doctor, I'll be a medical doctor.
[11:54] You are fasting and praying, oh Lord, I'll be a medical doctor. After you pray, now be, go, get up, start, search, look, start searching. Search for medical schools in town.
[12:07] Search for how much they charge. Find how you can raise funds, how you can get admission. Find out how long is their course. Start doing, you want your children to do well, but you are not finding out, how can I make this child do this?
[12:23] Other than that, things will not change. You want to get married. You know that you have, I mean, you have always praying and you are a nice person, but sometimes people who know you are nice, they have met you.
[12:35] They don't know you are nice. It's true. I'm telling you. Yesterday, I was preaching in Coventry. I told them, protocols of life.
[12:47] They are protocols to get everything you are looking for. We are looking for a church property. Do you know, in some way, there is a land somewhere, there is a built, now we have to pray for the wisdom and the direction.
[12:59] It says that wisdom is profitable to direct. Wisdom will give you what to do. It will show you what to do to get the results you need. It says that, Ecclesiastes 10.10, if the axe is dull and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength.
[13:18] You know what the axe? If you don't sharpen, you have to use more strength. If you have a knife, you are trying to cut Shaki and it's not sharp.
[13:29] You have to keep doing it. It says that, if your knife is blunt, you need to exert more strength. But if your knife is sharp, you don't need too much strength.
[13:40] It does. And it says what? But wisdom brings success. I prefer the King James. He said, but wisdom is profitable to direct.
[13:54] Wisdom. Somebody shout wisdom. Wisdom. Especially those of you who are young here. If anybody who is not ready to die, you need a lot of wisdom.
[14:08] I'm not talking about common sense. Common sense only brings common results. And if you have common results, you are common. You can't excel with common sense.
[14:21] No. Common sense does not make people excel. Common sense makes people become ordinary. We need wisdom. If you want to do well in life, say, you need wisdom.
[14:38] The way every time your wife is fighting you. No, you need wisdom to handle the woman. You need wisdom. You can have wisdom and your husband will stop complaining the way he's doing.
[14:49] Some of the things we say is demons problem. No. Some of it is wisdom. Lack of wisdom. Some of it is lack of wisdom.
[15:01] Lack of wisdom. I think it's better to leave a company to resign than being sacked. Yeah, so, so, why do you keep getting sacked?
[15:17] He said, they don't like me. They don't like me. No. There's a way you can, you can organize yourself with certain wisdom. Jesus didn't die prematurely because the man operated with a high level of wisdom.
[15:29] He operated with wisdom and wisdom is a spirit. Bible says in Deuteronomy chapter 34 verse 9 that Joshua, the son of Nun, was full of the spirit of wisdom.
[15:43] Why? Because Moses had laid his hands on him and Joshua, the son of Nun, was full of the spirit of wisdom for Moses had laid his hand upon him and the children, why did they listen to him?
[15:54] Because the guy was, you see, when he said something, it was bringing results. You think people don't like you, so every time you are very upset, ask for me, I don't have it. No, you have to believe God for wisdom.
[16:05] When you speak, they may not like it, but they realize that this thing is really deep. This thing is so quite serious. They, they, they leave you thinking.
[16:16] And then later on, one of them will call you, say, no, that thing you say, can you tell me again? I need to know more. Wisdom. Poverty is much of the time, most of the time, is lack of wisdom.
[16:34] Poverty. It's lack of wisdom. It is not honorable to be poor. There are some family meetings, they won't even call you.
[16:49] you are the prayer warrior. You are the prayer warrior. The Bible says that a poor man's wisdom is not noticed.
[17:06] I think in Ecclesiastes still. Chapter 9, isn't it? Ecclesiastes chapter 9. Time and wisdom are very, two key things you need in life.
[17:18] Time adjusts. Ecclesiastes chapter 9, I think verse 15 or 14 somewhere, it talks about a certain one. Wisdom is better than, did you see that? It says, wisdom is better than strength.
[17:30] Nevertheless, the poor man's wisdom is despised and his ways. I know. And it talks about a certain man. He delivered a whole nation through his wisdom.
[17:42] Everybody ignored him. And someone else who had a voice went and got the honor. Poverty is a bad thing.
[17:55] You have got nice things to say if no one wants to hear you. There are different types of wisdom the Bible talks about.
[18:09] Before I go to that, remember, wisdom is a spirit. Isaiah chapter 11, verse 1 and 2, verse 2, but verse 1 and 2 talks about Jesus Christ.
[18:21] It said there, and the spirit of, verse 1 said, and there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. Verse 2, talking about Jesus.
[18:32] And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him. The what? The spirit of what? I can't hear you. Let's all say the spirit of wisdom.
[18:45] Lift up your right and say, oh Lord, give me the spirit of wisdom. Amen. It's very important. Those are the things some of us, me, I realize I need a lot of, I have anointing, and I need more anointing, but I realize I need corresponding wisdom.
[19:06] Because life is very complex. And I'm not talking about sensibility. I'm talking about wisdom. Now, Bible talks about how the world's wisdom was present when God was making the world.
[19:24] Or it puts it this way, the wisdom of God. Proverbs chapter 8, verse 12. Look at Proverbs chapter on the screen. Let's all read it from the screen. Proverbs 8, 12. Let's go. I am wisdom of God with the truth and I am the knowledge of wisdom.
[19:41] Wow. Knowledge of wisdom. Look at verse 22. Let's look at verse 22. Let's go. For the Lord possesses wisdom in the beginning.
[19:52] Before you. God possessed wisdom in the beginning. He, when you read to death, it's too long. It's all talking about how wisdom was present.
[20:04] Look at verse 23. Wisdom was present. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. Verse 24.
[20:16] Let's read it together. Let's go. Yes. I was brought forth when there were no fountains abounding with water. Wisdom said, I have been around before everything showed up.
[20:28] God founded within wisdom created the world. Say wisdom. Wisdom. He who has wisdom will reign in life.
[20:40] Amen. I pray that God will give us wisdom. Amen. I pray that God will give us wisdom. Amen.
[20:53] May God help us. Amen. We will be rising to pray, God willing. But may God help us. Amen. So, even the Bible says that God has wisdom.
[21:06] You remember in 1 Corinthians 1, verse 21, it talks about the wisdom of God. God. It pleased God in his wisdom. 1 Corinthians. After that, in the wisdom of God. Say, in the wisdom of God.
[21:17] In the wisdom of God. Say, the wisdom of God. In the wisdom of God. It pleased God. After that, in the wisdom of God. You see that? In the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom.
[21:30] So, you see, there are two wisdoms right here. Two different types of wisdom. What was the first one you saw? What was the first one? The wisdom of God. What was the other one?
[21:42] The wisdom of the world. Okay. The world by wisdom. So, the world has wisdom. And there's the wisdom of God. There's the wisdom of the world.
[21:52] There's the wisdom of God. So, he said, it pleased God. Look at verse 24. This is where we are. Verse 24 talks about Christ is the wisdom of God. Did you see that?
[22:04] Let's read it out loud. But the world is the wisdom of God. Christ is the power of God. And the wisdom of God. So, Christ is the wisdom of God.
[22:15] Look at verse 30. Christ is the wisdom of God. Let's go. Christ Jesus. Who of God is made unto us wisdom.
[22:26] Christ is made. It's okay. He's made unto us wisdom. So, if you have Christ, you should have the wisdom of God. You are, you have access to the wisdom of God.
[22:37] And the wisdom of God brings results. I must work the works of him who sent me whilst is day. For the night comes when no man can work. I'm, I'm talking about you living your life producing so much godly results.
[22:52] You don't look back and regret. You don't have regret. Because your life has fulfilled its purpose. And the results are blessing many more people. Results.
[23:05] Results. Results. Daniel and his friends. They had results. Joshua. Bible says that Moses lay on and the manna.
[23:16] And Moses was, can you imagine? Moses was very well taught and learned in the wisdom of the Egyptians. God said, I can't use that. So, Acts chapter 7 verse 22.
[23:26] Bible says that Moses was trained in all the wisdom of the Egyptians. And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians.
[23:36] It was mighty. See, when you have wisdom, it shows in your works. He was mighty in words and deeds. And yet, God said, I can't use this.
[23:47] So, God had to take him out of Egypt. Take him to the wilderness and spend time out of. It took him 40 years to wash out all this thing from him. Because Moses would think that that's what I'm going to use.
[23:58] And he downloaded God's wisdom into him. So, there is a world, there is worldly wisdom and worldly wisdom cannot necessarily achieve the things of God. So, some of us, because you are so well educated or in secondary school, some of us, let me tell you this.
[24:18] Please, don't let us boast, especially if you have children. Don't let it enter your children's head that, oh, my child is very good, academically very good. It doesn't mean squat. Academic excellence does not mean squat.
[24:33] It means that you may get a good job, possibly, even if you pursue it. You may end up getting a good job, but it doesn't mean you make an impact. You can end up being a very good lawyer, a very good doctor, and they pay you.
[24:51] Doctors don't own hospitals, though. It's businessmen who own hospitals. And to be a businessman to own hospital, you may not be a doctor, or you may be a doctor, but you need business acumen to run a hospital.
[25:09] And so, certain types of wisdom is necessary. Now, let's believe God that we raise our children not only in the wisdom of the world, because Satan is clever, but God is wise.
[25:23] Being clever does not mean you fulfill God's agenda for your life. Can you imagine some of the good, very intelligent boys in your school? You remember when you were in school?
[25:34] Very intelligent. Some of them ended up on weeds. Because he's so smart. The brains work well. So he said, let me give this a go. And then weed weeded, cleared all his...
[25:46] Please. Please, if you are here, if you're smoking weed, stop it, okay? Stop it.
[25:58] It's spoiling your brain cells. Your brain cells are under attack. I'm telling you. It's spoiling your brain cells, your mind, your brain cells are spoiling.
[26:11] So even though with the wisdom of God, we are talking about natural wisdom, you end up becoming a very foolish person. There are people who have good jobs in the city, but they are very foolish.
[26:25] Because with academics, you can end up in the city. But as to how to run a family, how to run life, how to manage your life, look at people who are so good academically.
[26:37] They are doing well in the city, but their lives are a mess. Some of them are. They always have to live on cocaine and drugs and hedonism.
[26:48] Pleasure. And you look at their life and you don't desire this in spite of the fact that they have a lot of money. Oh, it was money. You can have money and ruin your life. But can you imagine money in the hands of a wise person?
[27:03] I pray God will make you wise. I said, may God make you wise. Yes. Bible says in Proverbs 4, verse 5, that wisdom is a principal thing.
[27:18] Verse 7, but look at verse 5. It says that get wisdom. Tell somebody, get wisdom. I don't think I've really ever preached on wisdom. Tell somebody, get wisdom.
[27:33] Get, Bible said, get wisdom. Get understanding. Forget it. Not. Neither decline from the words of my mouth. Look at verse, the next verse. We'll go to verse 7.
[27:43] But let's go. Forsake her not. That's wisdom. He uses her for wisdom. Forsake her not. And she shall preserve thee. Love her, and she will keep thee. You see? Your preservation in life has a lot to do with wisdom.
[27:59] Your preservation in life has a lot to do with wisdom. With wisdom. One of the things that wisdom will help you to do is secure the most important things in your life.
[28:14] Like family. Like marriage. I'm telling you, good marriage is a treasure. Yes. I don't know. You can't have good marriage if you are not wise. Good marriage because women and men are very different like South Pole and North Pole.
[28:30] Very different. Women and men are very... That is why if you pursue romance, you'll be left empty.
[28:43] anybody who pursued pleasure always is... The end of pursuit of pleasure is always pain. How many of you know what I'm talking about?
[28:56] Some of you, your biggest pain is the pursuit of pleasure. You just wanted to enjoy your life. You are now enduring. Still, the residue of just one thing you did.
[29:12] Yeah. Hey! The most expensive thing in life is lack of wisdom.
[29:26] Lady, what you don't want is to marry a fool. Because men at home, sometimes you feel like, what's wrong with my husband? What's wrong with this man?
[29:38] And can you imagine you... Naturally, it looks like there's even something wrong with the way you approach and then you go and marry a foolish one. You are so desperate to catch a man.
[29:53] So, you don't mind because so long that you are concerned, hey, hey, where am I going to this? Listen, anybody at all can buy flowers.
[30:06] Flowers. Flowers. You see how some of us have been raised? You have been trained to be hungry for anything that looks like romance. May God save us.
[30:16] Pastor, are you trying to say romance is part of human life, but that shouldn't be your focus. Because most marriages here are not thriving because of romance.
[30:30] Any thriving marriage has a lot to do with wisdom. Wisdom. You don't have to react to your wife the way she deserves. It's a sign of your foley.
[30:46] You are not a wise man. You don't have to react to your husband the way he deserves. You don't do that. Because he will react back.
[30:58] Then you will hit back. Then he will hit back. Then later on, somebody has regretted for saying what you said. And you know there are some things, once you say you can't, no, your words, you can't recall your words, but there are some words you don't have to say because you said it, you told him that my mom was right when she told me I should be, hey!
[31:19] you said that? It doesn't leave you. Those things don't leave. You told your wife, now I understand why my mother didn't like you.
[31:33] In the heat of argument, and I've heard couples, she will say, I didn't mean it, it just, I don't know, I don't know what came up for me, I just said it. It's out. And later on you make up and you'll be fine, but that thing you have, you have damaged something.
[31:54] Hey! Someone shout wisdom. It talks about the wisdom of God. First Corinthians chapter one verse, chapter two verse seven, it talks about the hidden wisdom of God.
[32:09] So God has wisdom, look at that, but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom of God, which was ordained before the world unto our glory.
[32:22] The wisdom of God. Ephesians chapter three, verse nine, ten, and eleven, that's a nicer one. It says that, and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world had been hidden in God, who created all things by Jesus.
[32:42] Look at the to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be made known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.
[32:58] Even God opraised by wisdom, it took wisdom for God to bring his plan to pass. What makes you think that yours can come without application of wisdom? when I got born again, my early days in Christ, one of the things I prayed for always, I don't know how, I prayed for wisdom.
[33:18] My early days in Christ, Lord, anointed me, and I was praying for wisdom, and I read through the book of Job, and I discovered that there is wisdom you need to master, to have mastery in life, and that wisdom cannot be found in books.
[33:34] It's God-given. It's God-given. So why doesn't God give you? I'm going to show you why he doesn't give. That wisdom must be given from above.
[33:49] Great, great people who have accomplished great fates in life, check it, wisdom. Wisdom. Bible talks about Daniel.
[34:01] Daniel chapter 1 verse 17. How Daniel, these children were filled with the wisdom of God. As for these four children, God, knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions.
[34:21] The guy was, what he was doing was a function of wisdom, and they had understanding of life. Wisdom. God gave them. Why can't God give you?
[34:32] And Bible says that Christ is wisdom. We, if you are in Christ, he's our wisdom. He's the wisdom of God. So if you are, in fact, Colossians chapter 2 verse 3, it talks about how Christ, Colossians 2, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom, and I'm talking about Christ.
[34:48] All the treasures of wisdom are hidden in Christ. So Bible talks about Daniel and his friends. God, that's what I want to hear. Listen, brothers, God gave them wisdom.
[34:59] Gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom. God gives wisdom because wisdom is a spirit.
[35:20] God gives wisdom. Do you know what I'm concerned about? We have a lot of young people here, most of whom are not married, or those who are married, they have children, younger children, under 10, or most of the people in this church, those who have children, all their children are under 20 years, 15.
[35:42] They're about and then majority of them are not married. That means that there's a greater percentage of our lives ahead. There's future in this church. Oh, there's future.
[35:54] If you can give your, David said in Psalm 90 verse 12, he said, teach me to number my days so I can apply my heart unto wisdom. If you can take stock of the days ahead and what to do, because you must know what to do, because time and chance happens to them all.
[36:16] He said, I return. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 10, he said, whatever you find to do on earth, your hands find to, watch it.
[36:27] He said, whatever thy hands find to do, do it with thy might. Why? For there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom in the grave where you are going.
[36:39] So you are on your way somewhere. So whatever your hands find doing, do it well, because there is no work where you are going.
[36:51] Is it not the same as I have to do the works of him who sent me whilst it's day, for the night comes when no man can wake. I was sharing with some people about time is divided into three portions.
[37:07] Time is three, in three ways. Past, past, I can't hear you. For the last time, the older you are, the more you think about the past.
[37:31] Because you have a lot of memories. Meet your grandma and see what she will be telling you. She will be telling you about when we used to do this. Most of her mind is upon the things that have happened in the past.
[37:45] Full of pictures, photographs, a lot of them. Are you getting what I'm saying? The older you are, so say, you are growing and you are getting more past.
[38:01] And some of the past will be regretful past. past. A lot of women have a lot of regretful past because they weren't in pursuit of romance.
[38:12] Sister, if you pursue romance, you will be left with wounds. Serious emotional wounds. Serious hurts because boys, when it comes to romance, they look promising but they are trash.
[38:29] You, I'm telling you, boys are trash. if you don't take care and you don't listen very carefully, why would you want to raise children when their father is not there?
[38:44] Why are you repeating your unpleasant story to your children? Because of that, fight that at least what you didn't get, your children will have.
[38:58] Fight for it. How do you fight for it? Not when you enter the relationship. How do you enter it? Pray and believe God for wisdom that things that are important to you will be important things in life.
[39:16] Important things in life. Because some of us, the way you look is so important to you that even if you don't have money, you borrow money to go and buy designer way and wear out your future.
[39:29] I'm not talking to somebody. Hey! All right, let's go back to wisdom.
[39:43] It's a wisdom. Let me also say this. Most of the people you see, I'm telling you, I live in South London. I've been living here for almost 20 years.
[39:56] And some of the people, they look very sophisticated. Some of the ladies, they are that thing, their boots. Hey! And when they're coming, hey! And later, if you like, just follow them correctly.
[40:11] See where? They live in a certain flat. Somewhere. On the 13th floor, there's no lift.
[40:23] They live there. And it's council flat. And all their three sisters are in their flat over there. And they don't mind. As long as you see them as...
[40:40] You see nails. Some of you, you shouldn't be changing your nails every week.
[40:54] Oh, today you don't have it. That's good. Look at this beautiful woman I married. When was the last time you had your nails? Don't remember. On your wedding day.
[41:10] Do you think that affected our marriage? No. But if your husband is asking for it, please. Please. wisdom. God, God, God, give us auditorium.
[41:29] Give us how many of us, what system have we put in place to start hitting the streets? Going every place, searching for property. What are the systems you have put in place?
[41:40] We are praying. There is a path for everything. You want to be a medical doctor? Go to medical school. You want to be a pilot? Go to piloting instructing school.
[41:52] You want to be a lawyer? Go to law school. You want to be something? There is a path for everything you want. Why is it that we pray and wait for the path to come to us? It's wisdom issue.
[42:04] It's wisdom issue. The way your attitude is in your house, your marriage is likely to be the same as your uncle's own. It's coming.
[42:16] Now it looks okay. It's coming. It's coming and you are managing things with prayer. Everybody is quiet but something is building under. There is a brewing current. You have chosen not to apply wisdom in the marriage.
[42:32] You flow the way anytime you want to flow. Anyway, I was telling you. Time is divided into three. The past come on one more time.
[42:46] For the last time. The older you are, the more you think about the past. The younger you are, the more you think about the present. That's why it's hard to advise people who are young.
[43:02] It's hard to advise young people. When I told you to stay away from the girls, every now and day you are allowing it. By the time you realize you have messed up. You don't have to intend to but I'm telling you, the body of a woman can turn things around in a quick, a very short time to turn everything.
[43:23] I was teaching, when you give a woman groceries, she will produce meals. When you give a woman a word, she will give you a sentence. When you give a woman a sentence, she will give you a chapter.
[43:33] When you give a woman a chapter, she will give you a book. When you give a woman a book, she will give you a library. When you give a woman hatred, she will give you hell. When you give her sperm, some of you thought you were just going to donate sperm.
[43:53] You ended up with a human being. Behold, a baby. the older you are, the more you think about the past.
[44:13] The younger you are, the more, that's why it's hard to advise young people. The wiser you are, the more you think about the future.
[44:25] Wise people don't spend their time on the now. Wise people keep their mind on tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Bible says in Proverbs chapter 4, verse 7.
[44:41] Look at it. Let's all read it together. Let's all read it out. Let's go. Wisdom is the principle thing.
[44:52] Therefore get wisdom and the Lord are getting great understanding. You are getting fashion. You are getting money.
[45:04] You are getting accolades. You are getting admiration. Hmm. You are such a cool girl. You are such a nice guy. Listen. In all you are getting wigs.
[45:16] No. In all you are getting wigs. Some of you are spending a lot of time at the gym. Not because you want to keep fit. But because you want to look a certain way. You think that is what determines whether a man will marry you or not.
[45:30] No. He will look at you. But it doesn't mean he will marry you. In all your gettings get understanding.
[45:42] This thing don't know. Pastor, we were praying and it hits me. The problem is a wisdom problem. Until I knew what to do with Bishop I would probably still have been waiting for a child.
[45:55] Even though I prayed. There was a step I needed to do. My miracle was in a certain direction. So I may take that direction. It doesn't mean that's the same direction you may take. But you have to open your heart because I'm talking about the wisdom of God.
[46:08] It brings results. You have results. I have a God no she is always listening to me.
[46:25] Her eyes are always on me when I'm preaching. Don't you love my preaching? It's amazing. She is a resort. Believe God for children like that.
[46:39] And collect the phone from them when we come to church. Every time iPad. You see I keep saying some people will not listen. You are waiting for crisis then we blame demons.
[46:51] Because it's a wisdom thing. The way you are going. I'm telling I'm pointing the future Bible says that until Noah entered the ark.
[47:06] Don't be over shucked and over concerned about your survival today. Think more because the reason why you are alive today is so you can get to tomorrow.
[47:18] But if you eat everything today and get tomorrow what you going to do? Wisdom. We really have to pray for God to give us wisdom. To give us wisdom.
[47:31] Some of you young men you are becoming too friendly to a certain woman. And that is the beginning of your woes. Some of you are here you used to eat some things in the past.
[47:43] Now when you eat you are having reactions. But you used to eat it a lot. God will handle people. Yeah. Don't say I can handle people.
[47:55] No. It's not a wise thing to say. Wisdom is justified by children. Am I talking to somebody at all?
[48:08] Because we are praying. We are praying church. But until we begin to apply some things, a lot of future potentials will be at risk.
[48:22] Three types of wisdom. No, four. James chapter, then I'll finish. And I'll show you how to get wisdom. How many of you want wisdom? Me, I want it badly.
[48:33] I want it so much. Even Jesus had to operate with wisdom. I want it too. I want wisdom. There is wealth resources.
[48:47] There are opportunities. There are businesses. There is a path. There is a path for your greatness. But you don't know. How would you find it? It's not just by praying.
[48:57] After praying, one of the prayers you have to pray, God, lead me. Give me the wisdom it takes. Let me know what to do. Let me know how to speak. The interview is not because your father's demons came to the office.
[49:13] We quickly blame the demons. No. You quickly blame. It's because you were not wise enough to know how to answer. To know how to answer.
[49:26] Even the way you presented yourself. Somebody can see you know that this man won't get the job. Just seeing you know. Just seeing you but you think you are fine.
[49:41] When people are advising you try and look for their results. Some of you anybody are talking and speaking to your marriage.
[49:53] Some of you anybody are talking and speaking to your church life. Look at their results. Some people don't have the working knowledge of what you're embarking on. I'm telling you the truth.
[50:05] Look at their results. Results is not based on how old you are. Job said I waited and I said that wisdom should be with the ages. So I was waiting. Job chapter 32 said I was quiet because I was young.
[50:18] I was quiet. I wanted them to see. After speaking I realized that these people are old but they don't have the answer. He said days should teach wisdom but I put it verse 5 verse 6 verse 7 there.
[50:32] Job chapter 32. I said I waited. I said to myself that days old age should teach wisdom.
[50:44] And I said age should speak and multitude of years should teach wisdom. What you read from verse 5? He said I kept quiet because they were all older than me.
[50:55] So I was waiting for them to speak. Now because they were years older than me Elihu had waited to speak to Job.
[51:06] Okay. They were older than he. Go to the next verse. Verse 5. When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was aroused. Verse 6.
[51:18] So Elihu, the son of Barakaiel and the Buzite, doesn't mean someone who boozes, but it's just Buzite, answered and said, I am young in years and you are very old.
[51:31] Therefore, I was afraid and dared not declare my opinion to you. Why? Verse 7. I said, age should speak, a multitude of years should teach wisdom, but I found out there is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the almighty.
[51:49] Gives him understanding. There is a spirit in man. It's not your age. It's what spirit you are operating by. It's not your high education.
[52:00] There are many people who are highly educated, but when they open their mouth on matters that matter in life, you realize that this is rubbish. It's rubbish. Professors shouldn't have marital problems and family crisis, but many of them do.
[52:20] Intellectuals shouldn't have that because when it comes to the wisdom for life, it's not academic intelligence. I pray that God will make us wise.
[52:30] God must saturate our church with wise people and we will affect our society with principles of God's wisdom and we will have resource.
[52:41] When people see you have resource, they will come to you. They want to hear you. Yeah. Results matter in life. James chapter three, verse something, verse 13.
[52:57] James chapter three, verse 13. We're actually going to verse 15, but it's good to start from verse 13. Who is wise and understanding amongst you? Let him show by, you see, if you are wise, he should show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
[53:17] Go to the next verse. But if you have bitter envy, bitter envy, self-seeking in your heart, do not boast and lie against the truth.
[53:29] Now, verse 15 is the way I'm going to, now let's look at the four types of wisdom we mentioned here. This wisdom does not descend from above, but it's what? So, there are wisdom that are, earthly wisdom, what's the other one?
[53:44] Sensual wisdom, what's the other one? Satanic and demonic wisdom. Satan has wisdom by which he operates. So, you may call it wisdom, but it's satanic wisdom.
[53:55] You may call it wisdom, essential wisdom. So, you can have a sensual wisdom. You know how to sweep a woman off the feet.
[54:07] Yeah, girl. Before she could say jack, you have booked a table at Eiffel Tower. on her birthday, she woke up in the morning, helicopter is dropping flowers.
[54:29] I can't imagine, helicopter is coming, and then the family, the mother called, the mother called her, the mother said, Shalim, Shalim, Shalim, Shalim.
[54:42] You know, it's a name in the Bible, okay, Shalim. It's in the Bible, 1 Samuel 9. Shalim, Shalim, come, Shalim goes out. Mom, I think this is for you.
[54:53] Happy birthday, and then everything. Happy birthday, Shalim. one is dropping flowers, another one is using the smoke to write, Shalim, Shalim. There and then, the woman made the, ah, this guy, I will die for him.
[55:08] Yeah, you, you don't know. It's sensual wisdom.
[55:20] It's wisdom, so some of you girls, you know how to get, sweep a man off their feet, but you don't have to, you don't know how to keep a man, a marriage, because it takes wisdom, pure, godly wisdom to handle marriage.
[55:32] It takes sensual wisdom to sweep somebody off their feet. So he said, this wisdom is sensual. You know how to play it. Use your emotions and play on other people's emotions.
[55:44] You know, it's sensual wisdom. You keep getting your way, or getting, making, getting it your way, you keep doing it by sensual wisdom. It won't take you anywhere. Some of you, the way you were raised at home, everything, you throw tantrums, everybody leaves for you.
[55:55] So that's what you've been doing, even in church, then they leave you. Then they leave you. So you think you are getting, you're getting out of, or you're getting it your way, you don't know that you're not going anywhere.
[56:10] Sensual wisdom. And then we have the worldly wisdom. That's the one the school will give you. Normal reading will give you. You go for conferences, it will give you, you get that, you know how to do things worldly, in the world, you know how to do things.
[56:26] It may not be bad, but when it comes to the key issues of life, how to have mastery in your life and everything around you, it doesn't take worldly wisdom. You can't achieve the things of God based on worldly wisdom.
[56:41] And then we have the devilish wisdom. There are people who sometimes you wonder where they get the ideas from when they are doing some of this design. Some of the fashionists, some of the fashion design.
[56:53] You're wondering how did this even enter? Those people who do pornography, you're wondering how did they get this idea? They know some things that you're wondering. No, the source must be somewhere.
[57:06] Satanic wisdom. So some of you are following people who are in the fashion industry or showbiz, showbiz, and they are operating with demonic wisdom.
[57:17] And demonic wisdom always creates room for Satan to breathe fully in people's lives. But what we need is the wisdom from above. The wisdom from above.
[57:30] Wisdom from above. How do you get it? James 1.5. He said, does any of you lack wisdom? How do you get wisdom? You have to ask God.
[57:42] You have to pray about God. Give me wisdom to know how to manage my wife. To know how to manage this situation. It's a quagmire in my family. It's a very complex situation.
[57:53] You need wisdom to know what to do before you harm a lot of things. You need wisdom. God, give me wisdom. Have you realized that every pastor, your biggest need is not just anointing, it's wisdom.
[58:07] I need a lot of wisdom. Because there are so many different types of people we deal with. So you may be dealing with something one way, you may think that's the same way you deal with Kwame. No, but it may be slightly different.
[58:19] Everybody's different. If I don't have the certain type of wisdom, we cannot pastor certain type of people. We can't pastor MPs. We can't pastor prime ministers.
[58:31] Our bishop operates with certain levels of wisdom. He manages everybody. It's wisdom. The reason why certain kind of people are not in the church is the wisdom I operate with.
[58:42] That's why I need a lot of wisdom. It's not only how I smile. Oh, he's a nice pastor. No, no, no, no. Wisdom is more than that. Is someone learning something at all?
[58:56] Some of you if we make you a leader, you don't have the wisdom. You lack the wisdom to be able to engage everybody. When you become a leader, everybody will scatter. Yeah, you lack it.
[59:09] You lack it. You have faith to remove mountains and to put it in the path of other people. So, he said, if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God.
[59:24] Later, we have to go into the details of how to ask because he told us how to ask for it. How do you get wisdom? Ask. How do you get wisdom? The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
[59:37] He said it in four places in the Bible. The fear of the Lord is the beginning. Some of us don't fear God. You are not wise. You don't fear God. That's why you have a girlfriend in your house and you have come to church.
[59:50] And you don't change. When you go, you are going to continue. You don't fear God. You are not wise. It's about time we start preaching the wrath of God back in church. Instead of just living talking only about the love of God.
[60:03] Because the wrath of God and the love of God, they are all two essential attributes of God. You don't fear God. You don't fear God.
[60:13] It shows in your title. You write one figure behind the envelope, but inside the envelope is a different thing. You don't fear God. You don't fear God. You have come to sit in our midst to spy on us and to cause us you don't fear God.
[60:31] See how your life will turn out to be like. You don't fear God. God is a consuming fire. You don't fear God. People don't fear God. One great bishop said this some time ago, years ago after the second world war.
[60:44] He says that we live in a generation because this generation is hedonistic, pleasure seeking, and self centered.
[60:55] We have no room for wrath and anger when we talk about God.
[61:06] When we are describing God, there's no room for wrath. God has wrath. God has anger. God, you see, every good anger destroys bad things.
[61:17] Bad anger destroys good things. So most of us, we only have bad anger. That's why we think God cannot have anger. No, but anger is neutral.
[61:28] If it's good, it will destroy bad things. If it's bad, it will destroy good things. Some of you have used your bad anger to destroy so much. maybe later I have to talk about anger.
[61:44] The fear of the Lord. Listen, I see you doing well in life. I said, I see you doing well in life. Wisdom demands that I must stop now before they suck us from coming here.
