Storing Treasures In Heaven

[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Reverend Dr. David Entry. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen.

[0:13] Be blessed. For some time now, I have been speaking on preparing for the second coming of Christ. But it's not right and it's not fair on your destiny, on your Christian destiny as a Christian, not to know about the coming of Christ.

[0:36] Because we are Christians and the greatness of our reward or our benefits has to do with the coming of Christ.

[0:49] Right? So it's not what we are. In fact, Bible says that what we are has not yet been revealed. What we really are.

[1:00] 1 John chapter 3 verse 2 said, The world does not know us because they first do not know God. They do not know him. And what we are have not yet been revealed.

[1:12] But we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him. 1 John chapter 3. Verse 1 and 2. And verse 3 says that he who has this hope in himself purifies himself and the evil one does not touch him.

[1:33] So, even as he is pure. It's very important to understand that the pivot of our Christianity is not earthly.

[1:45] It's heavenly. Yeah. Yeah. So, in Colossians chapter 3 verse 1 and verse 2, it says that, Therefore, if you have been crucified with Christ, if then you have been risen with Christ, see the things which are above where Christ is seated on the right hand of God.

[2:01] Verse 2 says that, set your affection. You know affection? Your heart's desire. Your heart's desire. Your heart's desire. Your heart's desire. This is for Christians. It's not for people who are not believers. It's for Christians.

[2:13] He said, you're a Christian. It's not about, first of all, your morals. It's about your heart, where your mind is set. He said, set your affection on things above, not on things on earth.

[2:27] A Christian whose biggest ambition is to break through on earth leaves himself vulnerable.

[2:41] If that's your biggest ambition, let's get serious. Let's get to the bottom of the matter. Maybe you are not quite aware of why you became a Christian.

[2:56] Maybe you haven't been told what the details of Christianity entails. Maybe you haven't been told. So, you have this, you are running your Christian work, running your Christian race, living your Christian life on false assumption.

[3:15] Assuming it's maybe just because, you know, it's just been nice and I want to show that what some people actually are Christians, they don't even think of heaven. How sad.

[3:28] And others are Christian and all, they think, one day I will die and go to heaven. So, what are you going to do in heaven? You see, the heaven you think we are going to, it's worth it based on the rewards.

[3:45] Let me show you something. Bible says that, Revelations, it says that those who overcome, we shall wear crowns.

[3:57] Revelations chapter 20, verse 4, 5, thereabout. It says that, and I saw, and it says that, then I saw, I saw thrones. No, this is not a throne, okay?

[4:08] Thrones. Thrones. And they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. All right? Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God.

[4:25] Suffer because of the word of God and because of Jesus. It's normal Christianity. Okay? For the word of God and Christ, who had not worshipped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their forest or their hands.

[4:42] And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Go to the next verse, verse 5. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.

[4:54] Verse 6. Blessed are the holy. Sorry. Blessed and holy is he who takes part of the first resurrection. See, I spoke about Thursday. I spoke.

[5:05] Was it Thursday? Not Thursday. Yeah. The first resurrection. Paul said that I might know him in the resurrection. The first. There's a first one and another one coming. The first one, those of us who partake are those who have lived well for Christ.

[5:17] Right? Over such the second death has no power. But they shall be priests to God and they shall reign with him a thousand years. So, he says we shall reign with Christ.

[5:29] And I think in the earlier verses also it talks about we shall wear crowns. Right? In fact, Paul puts it this way. He says, I fought a good fight. I finished my course.

[5:40] And therefore, that's verse 8 of 2 Corinthians. 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 8. He said, therefore, there's laid down for me a crown of righteousness.

[5:52] Right? Second Timothy. Finally, there's laid down for me a crown of... Say crown. Crown. Say crown. Crown. It's not only Paul who received that crown.

[6:03] All others who are living in anticipation of his coming. When you live in anticipation of his coming, it informs your behavior. It informs your sacrifices for him. All right? So, he says that who also love his appearing.

[6:15] All right? Not only to me, but all who love his appearing. Okay? So, he says a crown. So, when he comes, some of us are going to receive crowns. Some of us are going to have a lot of it.

[6:29] But you know the essence of the crown. This is so nice. The essence of the crown is... When we... Are you okay? All right. Yeah, put your crown.

[6:40] Face me. Face me. When... So, let's say this is my crown. My crown. You see, when I appear before the throne of grace, because of the works I've done, I receive crowns.

[6:55] Some of... Some of you don't have anything. Oh, but it's true. The way you are living your life, what can... What... On what grounds are you going to receive a crown? Or don't deceive yourself?

[7:09] It's true. So, me, I will receive a lot of crowns. Because I'm not just saying it to... I'm living it. I'm sacrificing myself, my life, for the kingdom.

[7:22] So, when I receive the crown, and... You know, when you... In Revelation, the Bible says that, and the elders kneel before him, and they cast their crown. See, your crown...

[7:32] Casting your crown before his throne, as you worship him, is a sign of your honor. So, the more crowns you have got to cast, the intense your honor. So, those of you who don't have many crowns, don't you hear what I'm talking about?

[7:49] You've got crowns to cast before him, to honor him with your crowns. But some of us crown. Believe God for crowns. So, you keep...

[8:01] You know, in Nigeria, in the Yoruba tradition, when there's a party, and someone is dancing, they bring a lot of dollars. It's called spray. See, the more you have, the nicer it is.

[8:14] And then you just keep spraying. You can't just be... Now, when you go to heaven, you must have crowns like that. And then you just spray your crowns. You kneel down and spray your crowns on that. Am I communicating to somebody?

[8:28] That is why... That's why you should live your Christian life like someone who is aiming for a crown. Paul said in Philippians chapter 3, verse 12 and 13, he says that I do not...

[8:41] He said one thing I do... Not that I already have attained, but I'm already perfect. I press that I may lay hold of that for which Christ...

[8:53] The next verse 13. One thing I do... Brethren, I do count myself to... I do not count myself to have apprehended... But one thing I do... Forgetting the things which are behind...

[9:04] And reach... Listen, listen, listen, listen. Those of you who like pictures... You don't know what I'm going to say, but I'm going to tell you something.

[9:20] Wedding pictures, graduation pictures, in your house, it's good. But these are past achievements. Sometimes you need pictures of where you are going.

[9:32] Some of you ladies, if I were you, some of you men, if I were you, I would go and look for a picture that is very nice of a husband, responsible man, carrying the baby and the wife, they are going to church.

[9:43] That's what I would put in my house. So that would be my vision. One day, me too, I would be like that. You just have pictures of the past. When you were at the beach with that funny boy.

[9:59] Get rid of those pictures. Get rid of those pictures. Get rid of those pictures. Get rid of those pictures. Get rid of those pictures. Get rid of those pictures. But sometimes pictures are nice. But really, some of you have too many pictures reminding of your past achievements.

[10:14] Say, one thing I do, forgetting things, the things that are behind. There's so much ahead of you that are behind you. Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to the things which are ahead.

[10:33] Reaching forward. Look at verse 14. I press. Toe, say press. Come on, shout it, press. Shout, I press.

[10:46] Some of you, if you have not pressed, you already have been in church this morning. And some of you, if you don't press, you backslide. You think your Christian life is to reward your pastor?

[10:59] Sometimes we are so loving and so caring that we just keep pushing you. But really, it's for you. It's like your mother trying to encourage you steady, steady, steady, steady.

[11:10] It really is for your whole life. Because she's lived her life, she's, it's your whole life. Whether you take Christ serious or you don't take Christ serious, guess what?

[11:22] It will affect my crown if I am faithful to him. And part of my faithfulness is to teach you what is true. So if you don't do work with it, me, I've secured my crown already because I taught you.

[11:37] So I'm not preaching because I love you so much. It's the truth. Don't think I'm so crazy about you, no. I'm so crazy about my faithfulness to him.

[11:51] He puts me here for you. You don't go to the bank thinking that the cashier likes you so much. No, it's true.

[12:02] It's just doing her job. The bus driver is doing his job. It's not because of you. It's because of his pay. I'm also doing this because of my heavenly pay.

[12:15] Because if it's not for my heavenly pay, most of you discourage me very early. Oh yes, it's true now. It's true now. Some of you make it very hard. You make it very hard to pass on you as though we are asking, we are pulling a strand of hair from your nose.

[12:31] We are asking you to sow our life to us. No. I get what I'm saying. So man, I've come to a place where I really want to serve God.

[12:44] I really want to serve God. And I know those who live God, live Christ in his earth will suffer persecution. So ready for it. But Paul said, I press on towards, watch this, verse 14, I press on towards the goal for the prize of the upward calling.

[13:04] Hear me King James. I like the King James. Let me see the King James. I press on towards the mark of the prize, not price, prize, award, the award, the reward.

[13:16] I press on towards the mark of the prize. So the award, the reward God has for you has got a certain back. Pass mark. With this, you're 10%.

[13:29] The pass mark, the pass mark is somewhere over 60. It's about 75. DVLA knows that.

[13:46] Some of you, your theory tests. So he said, Paul said, I press. My focus is pressing towards the mark.

[13:56] You must keep your eye on the mark and press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ. Once you are in Christ, now there is a high calling and responsibility on your life and all your Christian life is to be pressing towards the mark, not pressing towards the breakthroughs.

[14:16] For those of you who have made this whole church thing about getting a husband, you are joking. You are missing something very big. Missing, those of you who have made this whole church thing, because some of you, if your relationships don't work, you will leave church.

[14:32] Oh, I've come down too early. I think sometimes it's good for us to know who we are, who is going out with who.

[14:44] So if things don't work, we will see who will leave them. We will not tell, ah, that's why, that's why. See, this is one of them. Thank God it didn't work. So at least we will know.

[14:54] You see, it's nice to be with someone and know that this person is for me real. It's really for me. Really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, so, but God has called us onto a, it's a high calling in Christ.

[15:17] God has got a high calling for those of us in Christ. Once you are born again, you are, can you imagine, as soon as you are born again, you have been set on a track to start running. Wow. Pastors have made it because of seeker-sensitive messages, and mega church syndrome.

[15:41] It's almost, almost like the people are more important than the pulpit. So we have to tune the pulpit to suit the, the, the whims and the desires and, and, and, and the, and the wishes, the, the taste of the people.

[16:01] And so what happens that we end up killing the people instead of saving them. You don't go to hospital for them to give you the medication you are supposing, you are expecting.

[16:11] They give you what they think we need. Yes. So many people are in churches and they don't care about heaven.

[16:23] They don't care, but people keep dying. How many of you know Christians who have died? Yes. Yes. Yes. Some of you are from Christian family members. They died. When they died, then you go and meet your, your, your, your Lord.

[16:37] You, you think you live eternally? No. You are going, you die. You actually, some of us are closer than, because I'm telling you the next 25 years, in the next 25 years, it's likely that you are now old.

[16:56] Listen, dying early is not a case. Jesus died at the age of 33. John the Baptist, the same time. Okay. So it is how you die in the Lord and what you have done for the Lord.

[17:09] And some of us haven't realized that time is not on your side. Tell somebody, time is not on your side. Redeem the time, redeem the time for the days I wait.

[17:24] Oh, I always preach something before I preach my message. So, so, it says that your focus should be in not just going to heaven, but what you get when we get to heaven.

[17:41] There are two things. And then number three, much more importantly, that you actually make it for the rapture to be part of the first fruit, to be part of the first resurrection.

[17:54] The first fruit. And so, I taught you about the rapture that prayer is going to be sudden, it's going to come on us suddenly without many people knowing it's coming. So, he said, we should be prepared.

[18:07] And I started talking about how to prepare. First time, first of all, I spoke about sacrifice. Sacrifice, living a sacrificial life for Christ. And number two, I spoke about financial stewardship.

[18:19] How your attitude towards money, your attitude towards material things will determine whether you can be adequately prepared for the coming of the Lord.

[18:31] Matthew chapter 24 verse 40 says that two shall be in a field. Two. Matthew chapter 24 verse 40.

[18:46] Then shall two be in the field. Let's already, I want you to be part of what is going on. Let's already, let's go. Then shall two be in the field, for one shall be taken and the power of the earth.

[18:59] Verse 41. Two, then shall my friend have a field, for one shall taken and the power of the earth. So, one will be taken, they are doing the same thing, but one will be taken and one will be left.

[19:13] Why so? That field, okay, and that grinding is talking about normal day-to-day living. Right. You have to. If you are a human being and you are alive and you are an adult, you have to work.

[19:33] You have to have some earning. You can't just be staying home and God provides my needs, God takes care of my needs. No, he doesn't do it that way.

[19:44] he gives you the strength and the common sense that supply from God so you can work. Right. It's so important to understand that God gives us the opportunity.

[20:02] it gives you the opportunity. Thank you. It gives you the opportunity to, are you here with me? Yes. Hello. It gives you the opportunity to use the strength he has given you to work.

[20:18] For what? You know, you work so you can have some earning. That's true. All right? That's why you work. For earning. And then when you get the earning, the Bible talks about how material things are unrighteous.

[20:37] I explain it and I said that because creation was corrupted by the fall. Romans chapter 8 verse 22 and 23. Creation was corrupted by the fall.

[20:51] But God created everything. Creation and then 1 John chapter 5 verse 19. Satan is the god of the world. In other ways it says that the whole world is under the sway of the evil one.

[21:04] The whole world. The whole world lies in wickedness. All right? In wickedness. I think the NIV talks about in the hands of the evil or the sway of the evil one.

[21:14] Under the control of the evil one. So the things that are in the world, the things that are in the world, some of us the way you love the world. Enjoy your life, okay?

[21:30] Yeah, enjoy your life. Because most of us, our definition of pleasure is sickening. Your definition of fun is what is about to kill you.

[21:43] Most people on drugs go down in drugs. but they think they having fun. You just be high. This is good.

[21:54] This is good. This is good. Foolish. This is not good. It's destroying your life. It's destroying your life.

[22:07] A woman who is always in bed with different men, you are no wise. you are destroying your life.

[22:17] Big time. You are destroying your life. You are destroying. Society will tell you, it's consensual, I like it, I like it. No, no, no, no, no, no. You always live emptier.

[22:31] Something is taking from you. Even those who are in the industry, trade. The sex trade. Those who provide sex for money. That's their job.

[22:43] That's their earning. That's their career. Even those who do that, you check with them.

[22:57] If there's anyone here who has ever been in that life, you check with the person. It's very empty. It's never fulfilling. It's never rewarding. It's actually demeaning.

[23:10] It attacks the core of your dignity as a human being. You practically have to blank your mind to keep going. But you know you are blank. You know you are not yourself.

[23:22] You have to be under some form of influence to keep doing it. So you either blank your mind or psych yourself in a certain way so that you deny reality. But in reality you are not okay.

[23:36] You are not okay. If you had the liberty and you had all the money in the world, you wouldn't do that. You wouldn't do that. So you may say it's fun.

[23:49] Today I'm here. Tomorrow I'm here. And then the way you even treat your body, your human body, brother, sister, lady, the way you treat your human body, fronting what is supposed to be for a husband.

[24:03] Something that is supposed to be sacred for a husband. Sometimes I was having a chat with someone and I was telling the person, is it the kind of man you are looking for, you'll find those kind of men where you play.

[24:23] Very good advice. Very good advice. Where you do your transactions, they are not there. the kind of woman you are looking for, where you normally do your transactions and the people you hang around with, the things you do, you won't find that kind of women there.

[24:44] I found my wife, if you want a woman like this, I guarantee you will never meet her in a nightclub. You will never.

[24:55] No, let's be serious. You will never. you will never even find her in parties. I found her in church. Now, but you want the quality of a church woman, but you are looking for her in the nightclub.

[25:09] Relocation. Relocate. you are going to the mechanics to go and do your grocery shopping. You will come back with engine oil, engine oil, not olive oil.

[25:31] at least I'm glad I got you to say it because someone needs to remind you.

[25:46] Because you are spending too much energy in the wrong direction thinking it will work anyway. No, it won't work. The person you are about to find is already also very used to different women, used to different men.

[26:00] So it's a lot of work to try and maintain the person and convert the person to be a very humble and good husband, responsible husband, or responsible wife.

[26:14] Who will give you the peace you want? Because being a wife, a true wife, according to biblical standards, the Bible must work on you.

[26:27] That's why I'm happy a lot of ladies are in church because the Bible must work on you. If the Bible can't work on you, you can be a good wife. You forget it. The way you are, you are a monster. You can't be a good wife. Somebody say, thank God for church.

[26:55] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Thank God for church. A woman in church and God's word has entered, is worth living with.

[27:06] Yes. A man in church and God's word has entered, is worth living with. Hallelujah.

[27:18] Yeah. Yeah. Let God's word work on them. The only thing that has kept me married, clean, is because God's word is so much in me.

[27:31] God's word is so much in my wife. It is not purely based on our good morals. Because there are people with good morals, by guess what time, morality jumps out of there. We have a good relationship at home and everywhere because we are Christians.

[27:53] And we, you know, can you imagine me insulting my wife? I want a reward in heaven, you know. So even if I am becoming so frustrated or, you know, let's say in my family, men don't respect women, God forbid.

[28:11] Let's say that. And I'm from that kind of background. The word of God has entered me so much that when my nature wants to kick in, the word inside me, teach me, no, I can't do this way. I can't behave this way.

[28:23] I can't behave. So the woman you want to marry, her background is not good enough for her to be a good wife. But church can repackage it. Ah, the word of God. The man you want to marry.

[28:35] The man you want to marry. Listen, his father never stayed with one woman. Tell him. His father, you check. The mother is the second wife.

[28:50] Your mother. From a third relationship. What I'm trying to say is that, oh, I didn't want to go into marriage.

[29:02] Let me get back to heaven. You are preaching. The one you want to marry is coming from somewhere. And has been conditioned from where they are coming. If you are a European girl and you marry an African man.

[29:18] Wait, wait, wait, wait. Wait. Wait. You will realize that approaches to life are different. You may be very frustrated that someone who is just all his life lived in certain, I mean, maybe in Nigeria.

[29:37] Yoruba. And all your life, all your life, you have lived in the UK and you are purely British.

[29:49] And the Nigerian man will expect you to go and cook his food for him still. He may change, but deep in his heart. One day, oh, for you to get me some food. Oh, then he forgets. He forgets himself.

[30:00] He forgets himself. When you are pregnant, he said, this child will name me a father, my mother. And you say, no, no, I don't like that.

[30:11] Then he said, I am the man. I've said it. That's it. Then suddenly you realize the traits. Not the person is bad, but his worldview. Conditioning.

[30:23] He's coming. Yeah. So the way you are conditioned, you act it without thinking. That's true. That's true. And you have the brand.

[30:35] You feel it more in marriage. The one you live with. The one. So the way he was raised, the way she was raised. But why am I saying this?

[30:46] There is a way that we are all conditioned in a certain way. But the longer you are receiving the word of God and you are humble, opening your heart and receiving with meekness, the engrafted word of God, which is able to save your soul.

[31:01] James chapter 1 verse 21. As you receive it with meekness, the word of God is able to save your soul. Your soul is where the junk is. Your spirit is where you are born again. But your soul is not born again.

[31:12] Your soul, your taste, your desire, your way of thinking, it still can be stinking. Thank you. Even though you are born again. You are born again.

[31:23] Some of you will be married. Some of you ladies will marry a born again guy and you will be shocked at his sexual desires. No, listen, listen now. His sexual preferences will be so way off.

[31:36] Where is this coming from? It's still in him from the world. He likes it this way. You think when you are born again, your desires change?

[31:46] No. No, desires don't change. They only change based on how much the word of God, which is able to save your soul, be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.

[32:03] But your heart is changed, but your mind must be renewed. I advise you, get somebody who's been long in church. Because the way you are in a hurry to catch someone who is not taking church seriously, you are likely to jump out of it anyway.

[32:25] Usually you think it will work. To get to a place you can't take it anymore. There are people seated here right now who are regretting for going out with that lady.

[32:36] For going out with that man. Right now, right now, I'm talking. Some are married, but they are wishing, oh my God. But you know, when you're going, you think that, oh, it's fine.

[32:51] It's fine. We understand each other. We are very happy. Oh, that's a child play. The real issues of life will kick in. All right, let's get back to heaven.

[33:06] So, you prepare for heaven by your relationship towards material things.

[33:17] Many having realized that your relationship towards material things will determine to a very large extent, will actually, practically will determine your reward in heaven.

[33:28] Pastor, are you trying to say, so what if I don't have more money or more material things? Does that mean the one who has much money will get more depending on what he does with his money in the kingdom?

[33:42] He said, to him whom much is given, much is required. So, to some of us, God will not expect your tithe to be a thousand pounds.

[33:53] But somebody, God will be expecting, so someone can give ten thousand to God, and God said, you look at me, and can you imagine the queen is having a birthday party, and Richard Branson comes with a gift, an envelope, a card, and then a thousand pounds inside.

[34:11] The queen can look at you, this guy has insulted me. You look at me and give me this one. You're Richard Branson. I can't imagine. Richard Branson, you give me this.

[34:22] Look at how I'm giving you opportunities in this country. You give me this. And then, you, maybe you are at a very interesting position in your life.

[34:37] You don't even have enough, and you put 250 pounds in an envelope. The queen said, you gave this to me? Thank you. Thank you. But someone gave a thousand to you at that way.

[34:48] He said, you. Because looking at the proportion, what I have done for you, is this what you are giving to me? Is this what you are giving to me? Some of us, when it's your father's birthday, or your mother's birthday, or somebody important in your life's birthday, what you give to them, they look at it.

[35:09] They look at it. Your cousin can bring something small, or your younger brother, or younger sister, that's not working. This one, you can give 50 pounds. Your mom is so happy. But you gave your mom 200 pounds, and she was so hurt.

[35:19] Because recently, you bought three cars. You have bought cars.

[35:32] Whilst you are still living in the house, she's paying for all these bills, and you have got a promotion. Pay rice. Some of you, when you get pay rice, please be smart. Don't be quick to consume it.

[35:43] You reach it. If somebody, if Pastor Charles helps you to get a job in this company, meanwhile you are struggling. Your income was 10 pounds per hour.

[35:55] And now you are getting 50 pounds per hour. Pastor Charles Conneshi. As soon as the first one comes, try and, Pastor, this is what you have done. Some of you, you get your first pay. You've lived with your mother for so long.

[36:07] You've lived with your father for so long. Your first pay. You won't even say, Mom, I appreciate all that you've done for me. This is my first pay. I want to honor you. Greedy, greedy, greedy, greedy.

[36:22] True or not true? True. How true is it? True. Oh, I wasn't doing anything, Pastor. Pastor will encourage me to start my master's program.

[36:33] And today, look at me. And not even a thing. Jesus said, were there not nine healed? Ten healed. Where are the nine? Only one came back to say, thank you for what you have done for me.

[36:49] So, material, what you do with material things. In 1 Timothy, I want to establish some facts and rush through this. In 1 Timothy chapter 6. Thank you.

[36:59] In 1 Timothy chapter 6 verse, I really want to read 19. But it just will make it within context to read from verse 17. It said, tell those who are rich in this world.

[37:13] Okay? Okay. Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, not to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God. How many of you know it's very easy to trust in riches? Yes. Yes.

[37:24] Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

[38:25] Somebody believed in you. That's why I thank God for my father, Bishop Doug. You, most people, never even thought you were qualified to be a certain, in a certain leadership, a cell leader.

[71:50] I see. So what you are wearing is what we see. Most of their TV presenters, they may have a lot of nice cars and wine, but you don't see it. You only see them on TV. I see. So much, if you reduce life to its barest minimum, it's about what you are eating.

[72:05] Got good food. You are, you enjoy the food. Nice food. You can afford it. Now, if it doesn't matter how much money you get, you always go to a Chinese buffet. Eat as much, eat as much as you can.

[72:35] So, you see, watch the progression. Jesus started by talking about, be careful about possession, covetousness. Then he spoke about someone who thought it's all about money, got money, and he died.

[72:47] And so it was required for him, foolish person. And then Jesus continues to say that if you are not rich towards God, it's going to be like this for you. Then he continues to tell them how you have to be careful about covetousness.

[73:01] Then he goes on to talk about your living. He says that God cares about your daily living. Very interesting. He said God cares about your daily living.

[73:12] He said God provides for the sparrow. He said God clothes the grass. The grass, you see, God is the one who has designed the grass to live that. God clothes the grass, which the grass is on the field today, tomorrow is gone.

[73:24] And God takes care of the grass. How much more will he clothe you, all ye of faith? Faith. Faith. Your faithlessness in God is making you pursue things that doesn't have guarantee for your future.

[74:09] In the future, people will remember this message. You can't say you didn't know. And in the future, when we appear before God, sir, can you imagine this scripture will be, this book will be open again.

[74:22] Because you say, I didn't know back. Then they remind you. And then they'll play that when I was preaching and you say, no, I don't believe it. They'll play it. Everything is recorded in heaven. And the way you are thinking, what you are saying in your head, when the pastor was preaching, oh, I don't believe in that.

[74:36] I will agree. Everything is being recorded. And when we get to heaven, he said, Bible said books were open. So it's not only the book of Lamb, but it's the books. There will be books open with real records. See what you did.

[74:47] You see, when the pastor was preaching, you were planning after church. You're going to talk to that guy and tell him that, why don't you report to me? It's over there. Everything. Everything will be recorded and we'll all be sitting and watching.

[75:00] Hey. Accounts. Matthew chapter. Listen to this. This is very interesting. You remember I told you, oh, listen to this.

[75:13] The reason why God gives us material things is to keep us, sustain us one, to sustain our natural day-to-day living. Okay. The body will always need some things.

[75:24] The body will need clothing. The body will need food. And at some point in time, the body will need sex. That's true.

[75:37] I'm telling you. Yes, yes, yes. It's part of the daily needs. Yes. Yes. Yes. Is it not true at all? It's true. It's true. It's true. So, God will provide, that's why he says that, be careful about covetousness.

[75:53] Because, if you don't take care, you'll be running after all this, I'm going to get, I'm getting, I'm getting, I'm getting. What is it leading you to? Getting, getting. Think about it. I'm getting, I'm getting, I'm getting, I'm getting, I'm getting, I'm getting, and sometimes you even, life is, you are running out of life.

[76:09] Life is running out of you, sorry. You, you are not living. You can tell that you are, you have been, it's like, you are just, they've washed, they've washed the joy and true, true living out of you, because you have become like a slave.

[76:22] Just chasing money, and chasing pleasure, and, you are, life has been washed out of you. Because, you are trying to get, I want this, I want this, I bought this, I own this, I own this, I own this.

[76:34] And when you sit down, you're finished, you sit down, you're wondering, so what is it? Vanity. So, you're actually supposed to get enough to keep you going, and, more, for investment into eternity.

[76:50] That was eternity. The reason why God gives us resources, is so that we will be able to use the resources, material resources, he gives us, to store up treasures, in heaven.

[77:08] Matthew 6, 19, some of you think I'm lying. Let's all read what he says. Do you see that?

[77:25] He said, don't lay up treasures for yourself, on earth. Because it's not secured. Earthly treasures will definitely pass. That's why you need a will too.

[77:40] Because you have to give it to somebody. See, that shoe you've invested so much money in, one day someone else will be owning it. Oh, it's true. But some of us have got some shoes, and some clothes, which you are supposed to give away, because, but you bought it so expensive, you can't give away, but you don't need it, because you have outgrown it.

[78:01] No, it's true. You have outgrown it. You can't use it. You can't use it. You used to be size 8. Now, you are size 18. You can't wear it. Sorry.

[78:15] verse 20.

[78:26] What does it say? What does it say? What does it say? Laying treasures in heaven. Laying treasures in heaven. Laying treasures in heaven. Laying treasures in heaven.

[78:38] You know why I keep saying, I've not even started my message, because actually, this is the message I'm supposed to be preaching. How laying, storing or laying treasures in heaven. Wow. That's supposed to be the title of my message today.

[78:50] Laying treasures in heaven. Storing treasures in heaven. Storing treasures in heaven.

[79:01] Hey! Storing treasures in heaven.

[79:15] Because in heaven, it's safe. Jesus said, moth will not eat it. Thieves will not break into it. Moth nor rust will not destroy it.

[79:29] Thieves do not break into it. In and steal it. Now, so you see the point Jesus made here. Watch this. It's going somewhere. Now, look at the next verse. We are going to read it. Joshua, let's go.

[79:41] For where your treasure is. Why did he say you should lay your treasures in heaven? Because where your treasure is, you have to follow. I didn't write this whole.

[79:52] Now, those of you who have what is called red letter edition, you will see that it is in red. That means that Jesus himself was saying it. Jesus himself said, lay your treasures.

[80:03] Don't lay your treasures on earth. Right. Where the moth will destroy it and thieves will break into it. But, verse 20, but lay for yourself treasures in heaven where the moth or the rust does not destroy it and where thieves cannot break into it.

[80:17] Jesus said it. Why? Verse 21, he said, for where your treasure is, your heart will be there. Put your treasure in heaven so that your heart will be in heaven and you will set your mind on things above.

[80:34] Jesus said it. So, so you see, then this will raise the question. The normal human, human, uh, uh, human, uh, humanistic question.

[80:46] Okay. What is the question? Look at, let's go. Let me show you. Verse 22. Look at verse 22. Verse 22. The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.

[80:58] I will explain it. Okay. Next verse. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. And if therefore the light that is in you is dark, darkness, how great is your darkness?

[81:10] I will explain this. Now, he says that, let's go to the next verse, then I'll explain it. Why? He said, no one can serve two masters at a time. For either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to one and despise the other.

[81:24] You cannot serve God. So it's not, see what Jesus said. You can't serve God and riches money. You can't serve God. And he says that you have to have one eye. You can't have, your one eye cannot be looking somewhere, the other one, you'll be confused.

[81:37] Wow. Your focus, your focus, you can't set your focus on two things, at the same time. You can't focus on two things at the same time.

[81:50] You either will be sleeping, or you'll be watching. No, no, my time.

[82:00] So let's watch this. Are you getting what I'm saying? Yes, sir. So that's what he says. He's saying, he says that if your eye is single, if your focus is channeled on one thing, then your whole body is full of light.

[82:10] But if your eye is not single, your body is full of darkness. You, you, you, you are going to be able to, and he said, you can't focus on God and Mormon at the same time. I like that gentleman's testimony.

[82:22] He said, he was going around doing business, and he met a woman, and when he was going to do the business, and the woman said, come in, and the woman said, are you a Christian? He said, yes, I'm a Christian. No, he came for a job.

[82:32] He's looking for business, but the woman was looking for something, and then he served his business, and then started talking Christianity, helped the woman. The woman was at the point of giving up and running a fellowship.

[82:45] He spoke to the woman. The woman said, God has sent you these things. I couldn't answer these questions, and because of that, I was losing people. Now, just when they were finishing speaking, and the woman was happy, she received a call.

[82:57] One of those who asked the question, who didn't have the, asked the question, the woman answered it. He becomes very excited. He said, are you coming this year? Yes, I'm coming back. Watch this.

[83:09] Two men shall be on the field. So, he was working, but whilst he was working, his eye was on the things of God as well.

[83:23] He was working. He was earning money, but he was not just planning. I need money. I need money. I need money. Whilst he was trying to work for money, his eyes were alert about the things of God.

[83:34] Some of you, some, there are times you are working, and someone comes, and he's safe. I'm not talking when he's not safe. He's safe. You are an Uber driver. Somebody comes, and the person is confused, and tries to talk to you about, you know, I feel very confused.

[83:48] I need help. And you know, God sent this person for you to talk to him, by saying it means business, so I normally don't make business with. Which is different from being a doctor, or a nurse, and in our country, it's a taboo.

[84:01] You don't, you don't, you don't do that. So that's different. But where it's safe, it's safe. You pick an Uber, like last Thursday, the gentleman, I started talking to him about Christ, and I found out, he said, my family, everybody's a Christian, and my dad actually left just this, this morning, back to our country in Romania.

[84:23] And it's interesting, you are talking to me. And I started talking to him about Christ. He was so quiet. To the extent I got to, and he was driving so slow, I was thinking, guy. But he was, he was, he was soaking in the wet, and there are times he's so slow, and he starts looking at me.

[84:40] He's looking at me. He's looking at me. He said, you know, I, I believe, but, that guy gave me rapt attention. Interesting, that same morning, I was going to meet a pastor in a certain, the hotel near, a certain friend of mine, who was coming to see me, to consult me on some stuff.

[84:57] So I said, let's meet at the hotel. So I just went there early, to have some, breakfast, since I wasn't fasting. That's why the lady was talking.

[85:11] Some scrambled eggs, some mushrooms, some, some, some, you know, some, no, I didn't, I didn't go for the waffle with the syrup.

[85:22] I went for hash brown, and big beans. But watch this, as I was eating, there was another lady, who was sitting, two tables, the place was a big place, but quiet.

[85:36] It was, it was almost, close to 11 a.m. So the woman, woman came and sat, a single table, and there was one table behind, between us, the other place was, then, another lady comes, and she walks, and then comes to sit next to me, face the direction I was facing, and I was wondering, hey.

[85:55] And then, I was, I was trying to find a way, to start a conversation, and talk to her, our Christ, but, I was concentrating, and she, it took a while to eat, and then she took her phone working, then she asked me, do you, can I use your pen please?

[86:20] No, no, no. It's, this one, I will deny God, if I don't talk to, because she actually, offered willingly to start, and she was pleasant, and I gave the pen, and then she said, oh, this pen is different, oh, I said, okay, don't worry, finish, and then she started a conversation, and I realized, I don't have a choice, even though, if she had not started, I would have attempted.

[86:43] She started a conversation, and I started talking to her, and said, are you Christian, so, yes and no, I used to be, my children, my parents, but I don't believe in it, I don't, I just believe there's something bad, I believe, and I started talking to her, she's also from Romania, very interesting, in the morning Romania, in the evening Romania, but listen, listen, listen, quickly, and I started talking to her, and what I found interesting, is similar story to the gentleman, slightly different, but similar, so, she said for a long time, she doesn't really, read Bible, pray, nothing, because, she doesn't, but interestingly, since last night, she has opened the Bible, next to her bed, and she, for a long time, she just felt like, she wanted to pray, and he said, not because I need anything, but I'm so grateful, and I want to say, thank you to God, I realized that, oh, this is a ripe mango, we need to work on it, she, she, she didn't, because when she grew up, sometimes, the Christianity, that are given to people, it's, it's misrepresented, so they think, oh,

[87:50] I don't need Christianity, until they meet, the Christ of Christianity, so I started talking to her, I started talking to her, she was so open, and then in the evening, I met this guy, see, you can be on a business trip, and God, two people will be on the field, one will be taken, and one will be left, so you have to work, you have to keep your life going, don't be different from everybody, just keep your life going, your difference is in your, your mindset towards heaven, your mindset towards the things of God, most of us, you boast about how nice shoes you wear, how much you can shout in church, amen, amen, you have never reached out to anybody about Christ, no, no, you haven't, you are walking, someone comes to you, oh, do you know, are you familiar in this area, I want someone to show me around, did you have time, and you, you, you won't take, yeah, I do have the time, start talking to them about Christ, you realize God has already, already prepared them before you met them, yes, invest, invest your life into the things of God, your money must do God's work, that's why he gave you money, he didn't give you money to decorate you, but he's so generous that when he gives you, you also benefit, yeah, but it's for his work, those of you who don't tithe, those of you who don't give, he says, store up treasures, you, when you die, you believe you are going to heaven, but when you die, what are you going to heaven, what are you going to meet, what are you going to meet, ah, you are planning on relocating to heaven, but, yeah, that's an aspiration, but, you haven't prepared it, you think God has just said, it's prepared for you, to come, no, oh,

[89:30] Jesus said, I'm going to prepare my father's house, don't, don't go there in that scripture, I'll, I'll show you that you don't understand what I'm talking, you have to get yourself ready, start investing, that's why God is giving you money, that's why God is giving you material things, invest, start preparing, investing, enough of the fun, every money that God gives you, goes into having fun, oh, and yet you expect God to keep blessing, can I finish this text, I think I need to, verse 23, is that 23 we got to, Matthew 6, 23, okay, 24 here, you cannot serve God, so if your eye is single, there are places where it says that if your, if the, your eye is light, in other words, your body will be full of light, that means that, if your eye, your focus is set on the right thing, it's a, it's lightens up your entire body, but if your focus, your single eye, is set on something that is dark, it's, your darkness is very deep, that's what Jesus was saying, focus, you cannot serve God and money, you will only love one and hold one, and, and be loyal to one, verse 25,

[90:37] I'm interested, let me, can I finish this, you see where it's going, let me brush through this, verse 25, I'll read it, therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink, nor about your work, what you will put on, it's not like more than food, and the body more than clothing, look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly father feeds them, God, God, God, God, God, personally takes, sustaining the birds, he takes care, he takes, he, he feeds them, he says that this, nine sparrows, they don't sow, they don't work, but God feeds them, because there is a reason, for their living, so God feeds them, he says, are you not much more than them, continue please, are you not of more value than them, is it not true, are you not of more value than birds, even though sometimes you look like a bird, continue, the problem is, we worry so much, you worry, that's why you can't trust God, you worry so much, if, but what,

[91:51] I need to save so much, because I know how my mother struggled, and my father struggled, and so I have to save, I have to save, I need to do, but, your attempt to save, is running you out of, devotion to God, that makes it a trap, you are moving out of devotion, to God, that's the message I'm trying to preach, don't stay out of devotion, as you pursue the necessary things of God, of life, God is interested, in you having, because, your body needs to be clothed, your body needs, you have to eat to survive, so God, he'll make sure you eat, he'll make sure, but don't put the cat, the horse before the cat, the cat before the horse, sorry, continue, go to the next verse, and see what it says, so why do you worry, about clothing, consider the lilies, and the fields, how they were, they neither toiled, nor spanked, and yet, I say to you, that even Solomon, in all his glory, was not arrayed, like one of these, now, if God, so clothes the grass, of the field, which today is, and his sorrow, is thrown into the oven, will he not much more, clothe you, oh you of little faith, trust God,

[93:07] I will take care of you, tell someone, trust God, trust God, trust God, trust God, trust God, he will take care, and do what he says, he should do, trust God, trust God, if I was, if I were to be a young lady, in a generation, where good men, are very scarce, I would trust God, for a good husband, I don't trust your body, trust God, some of us, have skills, to catch a man, yeah I know you, you are good, you know, if I want that man, I will get him, if I want him, I will get him, because every woman, has their hunting instincts, to hunt for a man's life, women, if they want you, bro, you would think, that is you, who are going after them, but they are getting you, I know what I'm talking about, women, if a woman wants you, some of you know, how you got your man, you got him, before he think, he thought he was being gotten, he thought he was pursuing, but you were getting him, you nailed him already, you are a hunter, you are a hunter by nature, by calling, by gifting, it's in the Bible, it's that, she will hunt, women can hunt, for a man's life, the way some of you wives, are mishandling your husbands, you are making them vulnerable, towards these hunters, they are hunters at large, it's like, compared to the meerkats, they are hunters, they are hunters, they are in church, some of them are in church, they will spare your husband, if they get him, yeah, they will spare, and after one, two, three encounters, they say, let's be together, and if the man said, no I can't do this, he said, you want to go away,

[95:02] I will tell everybody, if you can continue, the woman will be quiet, but if you choose, not to continue, with that nonsense, she will turn against you, she knew exactly, what she was doing, she's the hunter, you are seeing her vulnerable, but she's the hunter, wow, oh my goodness, am I not preaching, better than you are smiling, let me finish this, okay, I keep saying, let me finish it, but I'm really finishing it, five minutes more to go, let me just, read it, verse 31, therefore do not worry, say, okay, what shall, be of faith, and don't worry, okay, okay, don't worry saying, what shall we eat, what shall we drink, or what shall we wear, why, because these are the normal things, ordinary people, God lets people look for, they live for this, they are, all they are living is about, what I'm wearing, what I'm eating, what I'm drinking, what I'm having, that's wrong, that's why life can be so empty, when you pursue material things alone, many marriages, and many relationships, have been jeopardized, because of material pursuit, many children have been, have been abandoned, because of the parents, desire to make wealth, they've left this child, in the hands of some, who never loved them, making money, some leave their children, in other countries, and they are living in another country, making money, your child is living somewhere, because of money, some of us have taken on jobs, that will take you out of church, yeah, you took, or you knew the church, that job will affect your church life, will affect your devotion, but you wanted it, even though the one you were doing, was okay, it was keeping you, you wanted more pay, so that you can, you can have more money, to decorate what you wish, he said don't do that, but Matthew 3, 6, 6, 6, the last verse,

[97:03] I want to quote, he said instead, seek ye first, the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things, shall be added to you, so you see the context, where Jesus said, you can't serve God, in Mormon, your financial, or your material commitment, to God, will determine, how, your reward in heaven, will be, but Satan, will determine, to distract your devotion, through material pursuits, so if you can trust God, some of us, the test of your trust, is your tithe, your tithing, is the test, of your trust in God, your giving, is the test of your trust, how do you store in heaven, three major ways, give to the poor, give to needy believers, and give to servants, of the Lord, it's all in the scriptures, this is how, you store into heaven, give to the poor, give to the poor, Matthew 19, I think 21, Matthew 19, 21, it says, it talks about, it says,

[98:07] Jesus said, if you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure, where, in heaven, so how do you store treasure, in heaven, give to the poor, people who are in need, give to them, give to the poor, secondly, you give to the believers, who are in need, Acts 2 45, it says, and so people, sold their possession, and goods, and delivered to them, among, sorry, divided to them, as many as, had need, so goods were brought, so that people, who had need, in the church, you are in church, you have seen, this sister has not got much, you have seen, this brother hasn't got much, and you keep, hoarding more, and the ones you want to give, is the ones you don't like, you're very old, go to the shop, buy a new one, that you like, and also give it to somebody, sometimes you go to the sale, buy some for somebody, you are storing treasure, in heaven, bless somebody, let it be that things, that others wear, and no one will ever know, you, were behind it, from your own resources, bless somebody, bless somebody, bless somebody, in the church, you know is in need, don't bless people, who only invite you, to their parties, bless somebody, so God gives you the resources, to be able to be a blessing, to others, in the church,

[99:40] Acts chapter 4, verse 34, and 35, you can write it down, because now my time is up, Acts chapter 11, verse 29, you can write that one down, because my time is up, thank you Jesus, bless the poor, Romans chapter 15, verse 26, bless people, who I need, bless people, and then the last way, to invest, okay, so, so long as your finances, like I was saying, give to the poor, give to the needy saints, and then, give to the Lord's servant, Philippians 4, 16 and 17, it says that, I'm saying this, it's not because I have need of, it says, Philippians 4, it says that, for even in Thessalonica, you sent once and again, for my necessity, go to the next verse, verse 17, not that I seek a gift, but I seek the fruit, that were bound to your account, you see, as you are giving to that man of God, as you are, you are sowing into the one, who is sowing into your life, that man of God, who's been a blessing, the other time, we were watching the, YouTube, my wife and myself, and this man of God, has been such a blessing, in America, an English, no, I said English, yeah, American theologian, very decent man,

[100:42] I enjoy listening to him, people like R.C. Sproul, and my wife said something, I think one of these days, you have to send a seed to him, and I was saying, no, maybe you don't need, but find a way of blessing, and yeah, that's true, you know, this man has been a blessing to my life, let me find out how I can bless this man, it's necessary, some of you, your care group leaders, you know how your, no, some care group leaders are bad, but the good ones, you know, you know, you know how your care group leader, has looked out for your interests, has been there for you, has encouraged you, you would have backslided by now, has stood with you, and you can attest that, this is a good person, bless that person, bless them, some of the pastors in the church, you can tell this pastor is a good man, bless him, that's how you are investing into heaven, bless him, bless him, big, big suits, big shoes, big this, big that, everything is just decorating yourself, invest some into heaven too, yes, yes, yes, yes, sorry, the message is only for those, who are planning on going to heaven, that's a disclaimer, so if you are not planning, please, this is not your message, if you are not planning to go to heaven, sorry, it's not for your sister, it's for those, did you receive something at all, wow, put your hands together for the Lord,

[102:09] I want you to bow your head in prayer, you want to pray and say, God help me, pray and ask God, help me to be faithful to you, help me to trust you enough, and have faith in you, to start investing towards the future, investing towards the future, even on earth and in heaven, begin to pray, begin to pray, pray genuinely, pray, Lord help me, Lord help me, Lord help me, Lord help me, not to channel what belongs to the kingdom, into my personal gain, Lord help me to be faithful, Lord help me to trust you enough, help me to trust you enough, help me to trust you enough, help me not to set my affection, on uncertain riches, help me Lord, to love you, obey you, serve you, with my resources, help me not to serve you, not to serve mammon, help me to serve only you, and not mammon, because I can't serve two masters, Lord, help me not to divert my devotion from you, help me, begin to pray that prayer, pray, open your mouth and pray, open your mouth, believe God, believe God, believe God, this may be your turnaround, this may be your breakthrough, this may be the entry, or entry, the point of entry, of the breakthrough, you have been believing God for, as you pray this prayer,
