The God Of Abraham Isaac & Jacob - Message 6 - Something Needs To Die
[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.
[0:12] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. Genesis chapter 16. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We are focusing on the God of Abraham.
[0:24] We spoke about how the God of Abraham, to have Abraham experienced, Abraham was tested when he came to the land. After he had settled in the land, his next major problem was a child, was a son.
[0:38] And so he was tested in that regard as well. And in Genesis chapter 16 from verse 1, Now Sarai, Abraham's wife, had bought him no children. And she had an Egyptian maid servant, whose name was Hagar or Hagar.
[0:54] So Sarai said to Abraham, See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please go into my maid. Perhaps I shall obtain children by her.
[1:06] And Abraham heeded the voice of Sarai. And Sarai, Abraham's wife, took Hagar, her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband, Abraham, to be his wife.
[1:19] After Abraham had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan. So, he went into Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became despised in her eyes.
[1:36] Amen. God told Abraham, I'm going to give you a son. And the son I'm going to give you is a son of promise. Something has to die. Hmm. Hmm.
[1:50] Something must die. Tell somebody, something must die. Something must die. How? I can know you may have life and have it more abundantly. He's the same one who said, he said, I accepted the corner, we fall to the ground and die.
[2:05] Paul said, I am crucified with Christ. What do you think crucification is? I'm crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. Not I, but Christ who lives in me. Colossians chapter 3 verse 1 talks about, Now that you are crucified with dead, or it says that, now that you are raised with Christ, see the things that are above where Christ is seated.
[2:23] Not the things that are, set your heart. And then I think verse 4 or verse 5 somewhere, it says that, mortify. King James uses this word, mortify your members. Between verse 4, 5, 6, Colossians chapter 3, it says that, mortify therefore your, do you know what mortify means?
[2:40] How many of you understand a bit of French? M-O-R-T, what's that? Mort. How do you say it in French? Mort. Mort means in French to die.
[2:52] All right, mort. And Bible is talking about mortify. Simply die-ify. Mortify your members which are upon the earth. And then it begins to tell you where they are coming from.
[3:04] But, you know where you fit. So, praise the Lord. People are getting scared now. He said, he didn't say, I will kill them for you.
[3:14] He said, you. Kill those. But, something has to die. Yeah. So, when God told Abraham, I'm going to give you a child. After 10 years, Sarai has been waiting and nothing was happening.
[3:28] So, Sarai came up with a very good deal. And what was the deal? He said, you know what? There's, I have, in those days, your maid servant is yours. So, if she gives birth, the children are yours.
[3:41] So, he says, since I'm not having a child, why don't you just, God has promised she's going to give you a child. Is the promise of God good? Yes, good. Going to give you a child. So, why don't you just visit? I'll give my maid servant to you so you can be with her.
[3:54] And then, she can give birth and the child will be mine. But when God promised Abraham to give him a child, he didn't mean, give him a son. He didn't mean that one. He didn't mean Ishmael.
[4:05] And you have to be very careful that you don't produce an Ishmael in your life with Hagar. Now, as we study, what does Hagar represent? We find out that Hagar represents law.
[4:20] Sarah represents grace. Ishmael represents the flesh. Isaac represents promise through grace. And so, when you begin to go through Hagar, you are trying to go through what you are doing.
[4:34] This is what I can do. This is what I can do. I'm doing. God is not interested so much in our doings. Ah, but you say God judges our works. Your works are important.
[4:44] They are works that are born out of your dependence on him. Not the works that you can do to please God. Listen, brothers and sisters, don't attempt to please God in yourself.
[4:57] Last week, I made a statement that it is not good enough not to sin. It is good not to sin, but not sinning is not all. You have to not produce from the flesh.
[5:09] That's what Abraham did. Sarai brought an idea which was not God's idea. So, guess what? Their goal was for Abraham to have a son, just as God has said. But their source was wrong.
[5:22] Their source was wrong. Their goal, their objective was good. It was God. Is it possible sometimes you can be doing good things that are God? It looks good. God, like people who say, oh, this is God.
[5:34] But God knows that this is not the source I want. He said, I'm not in this. You have not allowed me to birth it. You have money to secure. You have money to win this guy's heart for him to marry you.
[5:46] It's good. But you use your old skills, the same skills. You never even consulted me in prayer. You said, Lord, it does not matter. I'm depending on you. For me to move his heart towards you, you got his heart.
[5:57] I promise you, I'm going to give you a husband. Yes. And finally, you've got a husband. Yes. But this is an Ishmaelite. And so, then you begin to understand why you can't enjoy the full package God promised you from the beginning.
[6:12] Because you disengaged him. Because you decided to do it yourself through Hagar. And now, Hagar, from Galatians chapter 4, we find out what Hagar represents.
[6:23] Let's look at Galatians chapter 4, verse 21, because I have to run through this thing in a very short moment. So, Galatians chapter, what did I say, chapter what? Okay, verse what? Galatians chapter 4, verse 21.
[6:38] We're reading from verse 21 to 25. Are you sure you're ready for this? And this is cool, man. I like this. Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law?
[6:53] Verse 22. For it is written that Abraham had two sons. How many sons? When God came to you, he said, give me your son. He didn't say, he said, give me your only son who you love. But Bible says he had two sons.
[7:05] Ishmael was not recognized. Even though he was a legitimate son of Abraham, heaven didn't recognize him to carry God's plan. Because you know why? He was born out of the flesh.
[7:17] And I'll show you how he was born out of the flesh. Abraham had two sons. The one by the born woman, that's the servant woman, the slave woman, who is Haggai. And the other by who? The free woman.
[7:27] Who is the free woman? Sarah. She was the main woman, the wife. The other one was a slave, was a servant. But because the wife could not fulfill God's promise, said, let's use the servant to fulfill God's promise.
[7:43] At the end of the day, it's the same thing. God is glorified. It says that one by the born woman and the other by the free woman. But he who was of the born woman was born how? After the flesh.
[7:54] After the flesh. It's of the flesh that was awake. Was born after the flesh. And he of the free woman through promise. Technology of what we are reading. It's very important.
[8:05] Christians, brothers and sisters, these things, we have to recognize how God works so that we can enjoy our walk and our journey, our Christian journey and our walk with God. Don't go Beth Ishmael.
[8:15] It's not worth it. It's not worth it. So, it says that the other one by the free, through the free woman, through promise. Verse 24. Which things are, did you see that?
[8:28] Let's all read that statement together. Which things are symbolic. One more time. Which things are symbolic. It's Isaac. It's your story. It's no story. It's telling you something. It's very symbolic.
[8:38] You have to learn from it. Bible says that these things are symbolic. Haggai and Sarah. Isaac, or Ishmael and Isaac. They are symbolic to you and I. Which things are symbolic.
[8:50] For these are two covenants. These are the two covenants. The one from Mount Sinai, which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar. And the other, verse 25, for this Haggai is Mount, can you imagine?
[9:05] He said, Haggai is Mount Sinai. Now, what is it about Mount Sinai in Arabia? What is it about Mount Sinai? He said that, and corresponds to Jerusalem, which now is. It's in bondage with her children.
[9:16] Now, Mount Sinai, that was where the commandments were given. Ten commandments. When God, God made them and delivered the law on Mount Sinai. But what's wrong with the law?
[9:27] The law came from God. You either are working with God by the law or you are working with him by grace. What is law? What is commandment? The Ten Commandments or the commandments or the law of God simply means that the demand of God.
[9:40] So the law, when God gave them the law, he was giving them the demand. This is what I want. This is what I want. You got to do it for me. And what is grace? Grace is God himself doing things for us.
[9:52] And he says that Haggai was the flesh because the flesh was trying to please God. The flesh was trying to help God. The flesh was trying to do things so that God can smile. I want to put a smile on your face.
[10:04] You can't. It's not your ticking of the boxes that make God smile. It is your aligning to him so that he can find an expression in your life. That's grace.
[10:15] Grace is God working in your life. You know sometimes they say, pull the truth back. Pull them back from that region. Pull them back.
[10:26] Truth, pull the truth back. God said, pull yourself back. He doesn't need you to help him. Don't do it in the flesh. It results in Ishmael.
[10:37] Haggai, who owned Hagar, will only give birth to Ishmael, not an Isaac. You can't, you can't marry Hagar. Abraham married Hagar and got Ishmael. You can't marry Hagar and get Isaac.
[10:49] Do you know what? Abraham has waited for God for too long because chapter 15 of Genesis, Genesis, chapter 15, verse 5 and verse 6, God took him and he showed him the stars.
[11:00] Then he brought him outside. Oh man, one day I'll talk about outside. Come out, come out. Come out from that tent because you need to see the skies. God said, come out.
[11:12] He brought him outside. Then he brought him outside and said, look now towards heaven because where you are it's possible that you can't see towards heaven. You can't. Sister, God come out from that relationship.
[11:25] Come out from that fellowship. Come out. Is that reason why? Is it possible that you are not hearing from God or seeing the hand of God because you are in a certain room, certain tent, having fellowship with some people who have blinded your eyes?
[11:41] Come out. Say, come out. Come out. I think this one is for somebody. I think God wants me to dwell here a little bit longer. I thought it was another message for another day but my spirit is telling me it's for somebody for today.
[11:56] Speak with the word. Come out. God came to Abraham. He said, Abraham, come out from that tent and he brought him and said, now look, until you come out you can't see what God is showing you.
[12:10] You keep saying, why, why, no, I don't know why. Even when he's gone, why am I going to do that? Why, why, why, why, why, why, when you finish you go and sit down with those same unbelievers and they will spoil all your faith.
[12:21] and you are saying that I was shouting I believe, I believe but nothing's happening. You have to come out. Took him, showed him heaven and what did he see in heaven? Said I showed him the stars showing the, and, and, and, and said, look towards heaven and count the stars if you are able to number them and he said to him, what?
[12:42] So shall your descendants be, so shall your seed be and what happened verse six? And, and Abraham believed in the Lord and he accounted it to him for righteousness.
[12:53] Abraham accepted it. But the problem is that few verses afterwards, chapter 16 began, Sarah said, God is not doing it, let's help him. God has already promised this guy, you are going to have a child.
[13:05] But Abraham was growing. Tell someone, it looks like time is not on my side. It looks like time is not on my side. I got, I got to fix me and Ishmael because time is, time is not on my side.
[13:20] My biological, I'm going to show you when God is going to come. That's, that's the core of the message. I'm going to show you when God is going to come. Are you ready for when?
[13:31] So that means you can, you know that at least that's the time God is coming. I'm going to show you, I will show you the time God is going to come. Show us, show us. Please, take your eyes off the clock. You've got this nice watch.
[13:43] One on your phone, one on your wrist, one on your neck and then the chain is all around you. And the guy believed God. It was, it was accounted to him for righteousness. Say righteousness.
[13:55] Then chapter 16, her guy said, God is still not showing up. We have been waiting for 10 years. So we've been waiting for 10 years. God is still not showing up. What are we going to do? I said, don't worry, I have a plan. Abraham, Abraham, well, he said, I think that's a good idea.
[14:07] Let's get going. And he got going and impregnated her guy and had an Ishmael. But God said, that was flesh. And God said, I don't have time for flesh.
[14:18] Flesh cannot please me. Now watch this. And then later on, years later, Paul, the Holy Spirit, through Paul, is telling us that these two women are symbolic. One stands for the law and one stands for grace.
[14:32] One, the one who stands for the law produced from the flesh. The one who stands for the grace produced by the promise and by the Spirit. And there's nothing spiritual you can produce or there's nothing you can produce that will be of any spiritual worth from the flesh.
[14:51] When you read Romans chapter 8, before we do that, let's look at Galatians chapter 3 verse 10. Are you ready for this? What does the law mean? The law means the demand of God and trying to operate in the flesh is trying to do what you think will just, you know, you are using your energy to try and make God feel good about you.
[15:11] For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. Ah! For it is written, curse is everyone who does not continue in all the things that are, it doesn't mean that if you do anything right in the law, you are cursed.
[15:22] No. What he's trying to say, if you are going to be operating with God by the law, you bring yourself under a curse. Why? Because you can't fulfill everything about the law and once you don't fulfill everything about the law, you break the law at any point you are under a curse.
[15:35] And no human being can meet the demands of God by themselves. That is why the Bible says that for it is God who is at work in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
[15:48] You can't please God by yourself. For it is God who is at work. Philippians chapter 2 verse 13, I suppose. Philippians chapter 2 verse 13, for it is God who works in you both to will first and to do of his good pleasure.
[16:04] To please God, it can't come from you. God must work it in you. That's the definition of grace. You cannot please God in yourself. So stop trying and learn to yield to his spirit.
[16:16] So it says that for anyone who tries to please God by the flesh comes under a curse. By the law comes under a curse. Now look at Romans chapter 8 verse 7 and 8.
[16:27] It tells you that no one can please God in the natural. Because the candle mind is enmity against God for it is not subject to the law of God nor indeed can be.
[16:40] The candle mind cannot be subject and operate the law of God properly and fully. So you can't. So the candle mind is enmity.
[16:51] The candle, the flesh puts yourself in. So it's not just not sinning. Did you see what I'm saying? It's not just not sinning. It's just trying to be, do it yourself it's just trying to make sure that it's trying to please God by your flesh.
[17:09] Let the word of God catch up with your heart and then it flows from your heart not from your mind. There are people who are saying that I don't know why I'm giving tithe but nothing is happening because you are doing it just to take a box but not out of a love, respect, obedience, bond.
[17:28] That's why I can't imagine some people can give tithe. Let's say your tithe is 300 or 120 people can do 90 and say at least I've done some.
[17:39] That's Ishmael. That's Hagar. I promise God, God, I promise you when I receive this thing or in the next month I'm going to do this, I'm going to sow this seed, I'm going to bless this brother, I'm going to do this, I'm going to do and everything happened the way you were expecting to happen.
[17:54] It happened and said by God you know now because I've already booked this holiday a few months ago. something in me must die. Something must die. Pass forward. So Abraham had Ishmael.
[18:05] I didn't finish reading Romans chapter 8. Let's finish verse, go to verse 8. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You can't be in the flesh and please God. So how can I please God?
[18:17] Be in the spirit. Work by grace. Yield yourself to God. There are people who will be doing something, God will be prompting them, don't do it, they will still do it and then do what they think God will need anyway.
[18:28] Do you understand that? So, so, so you, you, you, you decide to fight your wife, fight your husband because of what she has done. I will never forgive you. I will fight her, I will spill that thing.
[18:39] And you know God was saying don't do it. I will spill it. When I finish, I will continue with my fasting. God at least, I've done well for fasting. Do you understand what I'm saying? And so, we will be disobeying God on one hand.
[18:51] Somebody said, me, I will never forgive him. I can't forgive him. I know God wants me to. But as for this one, God should understand. And then I'll do every other thing. But this one, you see, that's, that's an Ishmaelite talking.
[19:03] Someone is going to, you've gone into bed with Hagar because in spite of what God is saying, I will have to do what I think I'll do. And then later, I will still make sure I got the same results for God.
[19:14] The source doesn't matter. The result is okay. That's Ishmael. And that's the law. Someone say grace. Grace. Grace. Grace is when you allow, open yourself out, release yourself for God to begin to manifest himself through you and achieve the things he wants to do through you by himself, through you.
[19:32] Your deadness to God. Abraham didn't have that. But okay, so Abraham waited and waited. Nothing was happening. Now I have to show you the time. What time must God do it? I'm going to show you. God waited.
[19:43] The difference between an Ishmael and an Isaac is an Ishmael can happen anytime. But an Isaac will only happen in God's time.
[19:54] Hallelujah. Amen. An Ishmael is now. An Ishmael is now. And Isaac is whenever God is ready. I've seen the woman I want to marry her.
[20:06] But it looks like this is not the time. But let me just marry because I need to do that. Because I'm burning. Let me just marry like that. The Bible says that if you can't wait, just marry. But you know, God actually has given you a major assignment that hasn't been completed.
[20:20] Listen, never rush ahead of God. You'll come back to start where you were supposed to have started years ago. It's like when you are speeding, you are speeding, you are in a hurry, speeding, speeding, speeding, and the police stops you.
[20:32] You know what? By the time they release you, possibly, 20 minutes is gone out of your time. They will not do anything to you, but you have been set back significantly. Or you're in a hurry, you are driving, and you end up scratching someone's guy.
[20:45] You have to stop for her to exchange your answer. Oh no, no, 20 minutes. And if the person is a very difficult person, say let's call the police. Most of them, the police will check what it is, they may not come.
[20:56] So you may end up waiting for 20 or 40 minutes. Call you in a hurry. Tell someone, wait for God's time. Wait for God's time. But the problem is, I don't know God's time. God is waiting for something to die.
[21:07] Why must something die so that you can't take credit? Yes, yes, yes, yes. Yes, always, always. Let's look at Abraham's situation.
[21:21] In the book of, do you know when Abraham had a child? Genesis chapter 21. Look at Genesis chapter 21. The verse 1 is the one we have been reading for Shiloh hour. That's good. But let's go to verse 5.
[21:33] Are you ready? I want to show you the time God is going to come. When did they all come? Let's all read the Allah. Let's go. Let's read from this. Let's go. Now, was 100 years old when he was. Hey, how old?
[21:50] God is waiting for you to be 100 years. God, do it now. Why? He said, no, no, no, no, you are not 100. I'm waiting. God, why must I be 100?
[22:01] Because by the time you are 100, something is dead. Something is dead. So he has to wait for things to take his natural course for something to die. Something must die.
[22:13] Then God can say that you can say this is not me. I'm a dead man. This must be God. Shout hallelujah. In the book of Romans chapter 4, look at Romans chapter 4, verse 18 and 19.
[22:30] Are you ready for this? Who, contrary to hope, in hope, believed so that he became the father of many nations according to what was spoken, so shall there be. There's no hope he could have been by belief.
[22:42] Look at verse 17. Let's go back to verse 17. Let's go up to it. There's something in verse 17 I want you to see. Verse 17. Ask this reason. I've made you a father of many nations. The time God was telling you he was childless. That's why he tried to help God.
[22:54] He realized that he was getting out of time. Time was on his side. Sarah said, Abraham, time is not, because the other time realized that time is not on your side. I realize you are dying. Let's get a guy.
[23:06] Because Abraham, you are dying. Let's get a guy. So at least God's name will look good. Because the man was dying. And God has spoken but nothing is happening. The God was running out of time.
[23:18] Okay, okay, time. All right. Let's do something quickly. At least it's the same thing. It's not the same thing. It's never the same thing. Allow God to be God. Now watch this.
[23:29] Look at verse 17 again. Look at verse 17 again. And further up, in his presence, in the presence of him whom he believed, God, look at the qualification of God, who gives light to the dead and calls things that do not exist as though they did.
[23:43] So God gives light. So he doesn't mind if he dies. And Abraham, then he says, against hope, he believed in hope that he might be the father of many days. Look at verse 19. That is where the point is. Something died.
[23:54] Verse 19, not being weak in faith, he did not consider his, what did he consider? His own body. What was wrong with his body? What was wrong with his body? Not just his body.
[24:07] Since he was above, did you see the time? And God waited when he was 100 years old. That means that God waited for him to die. He says that his body was already dead. He was dead.
[24:19] Something has to die, bro. Sister, something has to die. You are too active. You are too active. You are serving God in the flesh too much.
[24:30] You are trying to please everybody. When they say sing, you are singing to for more to see you can sing. You do one fasting. Everybody will know you've been fasting. For the whole day, I've not eaten anything. You know? I've not eaten anything.
[24:42] I've not eaten anything. I've eaten anything. He said, ask for me, ask for me, I can do a lot of things so God has blessed me. I'm anointed though. Something must die. Is it possible that in spite of the way you are anointed, others are still being used by God and not you?
[25:00] Something has to, tell somebody, I think Pastor is talking about you. Tell the person, something must die. Something must die. Sir, God waited for Abraham to be dead.
[25:13] It's interesting. He waited. So Abraham was about 100 years old. His body was already dead at 100. He was gone. Now, watch this. A dead man cannot produce a child.
[25:26] But God said, get rid of Ishmael. That's not the one I'm talking about. God, I'm dying. God waits. He waited. Isaac waits. Ishmael doesn't wait. Anything that can wait for God is an Ishmael.
[25:38] Anything that cannot wait for God, that job, if the job can't wait for God, is an Ishmael. So the source is not the same as the goal. So you may use a wrong source. It doesn't mean that it makes the goal right.
[25:51] The goal may be okay, but the source, if the goal is right, if the objective, the final end, the product is okay, but the source is not okay, God said, I don't like it. You can go and steal money from your company and come and give a donation of whatever thousands of pounds you want to God.
[26:06] God said, this is not the one I bless. Because the source, this is a thief's money. It doesn't matter. You know, I'm undercutting people, I'm changing figures and I'll give the time to church.
[26:18] Who told you God is looking for filthy money? I can do drugs and still give, if I give the church the money, won't the church take it? We may not know. If we know, we won't. We may not know, but God will not put his blessing on it.
[26:32] God will not put his blessing on it. You are wasting your time. You might as well keep that money. But keeping the money is not the issue. You have to change. I'm growing, I need to have a child. You have a child with somebody's husband. And you are bringing the child for dedication.
[26:45] We may dedicate the child. Now you are happy. 46, a 56 year old woman, you've had a child with somebody's husband. Because Ishmael can't wait. Can't wait.
[26:55] God is too late. God is delaying. Time is not on my side. But God is also waiting for something to die. You better kill that thing quickly. Help the thing to die natural death. Don't keep it alive.
[27:06] God is killing that relationship. Don't keep it alive. I've been believing God for this thing for so long. Something is alive so he's blocking it. Now what is it that pastor has been prophesying people are receiving their testimony and don't receive it's the same word but there's something that is alive there is a shark in your life which is eating all the miracle tilapias.
[27:31] He's eating the tilapia. This shark. I stumbled across this. I was studying and this scripture has been in my spirit but when I was studying I realized something must die and I remembered Paul in 2nd Corinthians chapter 1 you'll be shocked.
[27:47] Verse 8 and verse 9. 2nd Corinthians chapter 1 verse 8 and verse 9. Brothers and sisters this is quite interesting. It's alarming. It's so for we do not want you to be ignorant brethren about the troubles which came to us in Asia.
[28:00] Say Asia. Asia. Asia. About the trouble it says that that we were burdened beyond measure above strength so that we despaired even of life.
[28:11] Paul said we lost desire to live. We didn't want to live again. I don't know if you know what I'm talking about. Sometimes things can go so wrong you are now tired. Whatever. Whatever.
[28:22] Whatever. Whatever. A dead goat doesn't fear cat last. Whatever. Whatever. Because it's gone already. Excuse me. Let them bend his cap because there's nothing here again.
[28:34] Let them come. They can take my house. I don't mind. I can. Let them come. Am I talking to someone who is despaired of life who feels like I don't want to fight again.
[28:46] I fought too much. I don't want to fight again. This relationship let it. This marriage I don't mind. Now I don't want to fight again. I have not learned how to bend on God. Sometimes life can hit you real bad you know.
[28:58] Life sometimes can be like that. Some of you have stopped writing 13 exams because for 18 years you have been writing this same exam. But your story is changing from today.
[29:11] I said somebody's story is changing from today. Paul watch this. He says that we despaired even of life. Now watch this. That is a serious thing. In 1 Corinthians 1 verse 8 these guys went through so much trouble such that they said beyond measure above strength.
[29:28] just do a cunt. That's what they said. So we despaired of life. But no one found out that God knew what he was to allowing them to go through. Look at verse 9. That's shocking.
[29:38] Yes we had the sentence of death in ourselves. Why? That we should not trust in ourselves by God who raises the dead. we went through all this so that we would learn how not to trust in ourselves because these are powerful preachers.
[29:58] Amazing revivalists. God was using them all over doing so many things. They went through so much that God said later on we found out that it was necessary we go through this so that God would teach us how not to depend rely on ourselves.
[30:13] but depend on him who is able to raise the dead even if we die he can raise us up. Something must die. God waited for Abraham to die.
[30:26] He promised him when he was alive but he waited. He said I've got time don't worry. I've got time don't worry. Time is in his hands beginning and the end. Time is in his hands you've been singing it but you don't believe it.
[30:43] He said I'll wait. I'll wait. Don't worry. I'll wait. I will wait. I will wait. Till you finish paying that mortgage 25 years I will wait. I will wait.
[30:55] That's what I've discovered of late that it's very fearful to work with God recklessly and haphazardly because sometimes the results doesn't show immediately. Sometimes the results in 20 years time.
[31:08] Sometimes the way you are raising this child and everybody is telling you be careful. He said it doesn't matter. He's a little boy. He's fine. He's fine. Maybe 30 years later you didn't do it God's way.
[31:19] You fought his father so bad. We are telling you you know what for the children's sake don't. He said no no I'm dying. This thing is killing me. Let me do it. Children will be okay. Then you write a card. Don't worry.
[31:30] Mommy loves you okay but mommy has to be happy. The children will understand but you wouldn't realize how much they didn't get it till sometimes 25 years later.
[31:42] Then now you are so old but you are aching. Oh my son. Oh my son because you have seen yourself repeating in him. You should have won that victory before you pass it on but you didn't win it because you have to be free.
[31:58] You have to be Daddy don't mess up don't run out of the marriage. I know you can't stand your wife but don't run out of the marriage because you pay at a time you never expected.
[32:10] When we are in the need we say it doesn't matter. It's going to say it doesn't matter. Later it doesn't matter. Buy now pay later. Oh later. Later 25 years later you're fine. You remember the loan you couldn't finish paying now it has become a mountain.
[32:21] When you are getting you say oh this one the way I am if they take 150 every month it's easy. It's easy. It's easy. So when we are in the moment because of the way we love our comfort because of the flesh we say Ishmael come don't worry God will understand but you will not realize that years after you are dead and gone over 60 or 4,000 or 6,000 years later Ishmaelites are crystal causing problems to Israel.
[32:49] God just one act of impatience. Tell someone something must die. God knows what he is doing. If you can just fix your eyes on him and believe him.
[33:02] Don't be in a rush to get a boyfriend. Ask many who went for boyfriends without taking their time. They have broken heart. Broken heart. And some are so bitter because unfortunately there is a baby to show.
[33:15] So you look at this innocent boy and you are upset with him because you are upset with his foolish father. And this boy is growing up angry. You are raising an angry boy. And you don't realize that 20 years later this boy will be so angry that he will become your biggest addict not the man.
[33:32] Now you will be asking the man can you talk to your son? You did it. Someone shout mercy! Mercy! To know God as the God of Abraham the God of Isaac and God of Jacob something might be like.
[33:49] Hagar means no waiting. Anytime will be okay. What time can I go? Anytime, anytime I'm already there. Sarah means waiting for 100 years.
[34:00] Your spiritual value has not got to do with how much you do. But how much we have gained the Lord's work in our lives. So God is working in us. That's what determines the spiritual value of what we do.
[34:12] When it comes to Ishmael you are talking about wrong sauce. Two things about Ishmael. The sauce is wrong and the timing is wrong. It's not God's sauce. It's not God's time.
[34:24] But when it comes to Isaac it's time. God's time and let God do it himself. I pray for you that what needs to die God will help you to kill it.
[34:37] I pray that anything that is blocking the manifestation of God's hand in your life may that thing die without fail and delay. That room will be created for God to throw his weight about in your life.
[34:51] In the name of Jesus. I pray for you that anything that constitutes self but not God. Anything that has the propensity of producing Ishmael in your life I pray that God will help you stay away from it for the thing to die.
[35:11] I pray for the grace to wait for God's timing. I pray for the grace to wait for God's timing. May you receive the grace to wait for God's timing. May you receive the grace to wait for God's timing.
[35:23] I pray nothing will block the birth of Isaac. Nothing will block the birth of Isaac. Anything that will be of the flesh that will take you out of the path of God for your life.
[35:38] May that thing escape your attention. May it escape your attention. In the mighty name of Jesus so shall it be. Someone shout amen.
