The Hebrews Series - Message 4 - The Son Is Seated
[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another faith-building message by Pastor David Entry. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.
[0:12] May your knowledge of Jesus Christ increase as you listen. Be blessed. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Hebrews. I want to say Hebrews.
[0:27] Hebrews. Say I am a Hebrew. I am a Hebrew. Bible says that Abraham the Hebrew. And then we find out in scripture that he wasn't the only Hebrew.
[0:39] Because God said that when Moses went and said this is what the God of the Hebrews says. Alright so I think Exodus chapter 13 verse 1 and 9.
[0:50] The God of the Hebrews. So Abraham was the Hebrew. Was a Hebrew. But he wasn't the only Hebrew. There were other Hebrews. And so God when he was about to deliver his people from Egypt. He said this is what the God of the Hebrews.
[1:03] Exodus chapter 13 verse 1. The God of the Hebrews. Bible says that as many as are of faith. They are the sons of Abraham. So that we likewise become Hebrews by virtue of our faith in the God of Abraham.
[1:18] And the special text. The special message to us the Hebrews. Is that a Hebrew is someone who has crossed over from one side to the other.
[1:29] Particularly across the river. Yeah. And those of us who have crossed from one side to the other. Bible talks about how he has delivered us from the pires of darkness and translated.
[1:39] Alright. We have been translated into the kingdom of his dear son. So that makes us Hebrews. We have come into a new kingdom. We have come into Christ.
[1:51] And this new land we have come into is Christ. Christ is our inheritance. Christ is the land. Christ is our portion. Christ is our healing. Christ is our king.
[2:02] Christ is our everything. Bible says therefore you are complete in him. Christ in you. The hope of glory.
[2:13] Colossians chapter 1 verse 27. And in Colossians 1, 10 and 11. It talks about 9, 10, 11. It talks about we are complete in Christ. Alright.
[2:23] So Bible says that in him. Colossians chapter 2 verse 9. It talks about in him dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And we are complete in him.
[2:35] So once we are in him, we are okay. And so now he has to take the time. God himself has to take the time to try and let us understand how Christ is better than everything.
[2:47] So that's what the book of Hebrews is about. The book of Hebrews, as I said earlier on, looks back at the Old Testament, the good stuff, including the manifestation of God himself.
[2:59] How he manifested himself in the Old Testament is good. But how he manifested himself in the Son is superior. Hallelujah. Amen. It's superior.
[3:10] So the God of the Old Testament is the same God in the New Testament. No different. Because God is one. The Shema. Hear, O Israel. The Lord your God is one. So God is one.
[3:22] The same God who was working in the Old Testament is the same God who was working in the New Testament. But how he manifested, how he displayed, he manifested himself in the Old Testament was in a hidden way.
[3:35] No one could see. He was hidden in the Old Testament. Even though he revealed himself by speaking through the prophets in various ways, in diverse means.
[3:45] So he revealed himself through speaking. But in these last days, he has spoken to us. He's revealed himself through his Son. Now, so the Son is the center of whatever God has been doing and whatever he can be to humanity.
[4:04] You got to look at the Son. So in John chapter 14, verse 9, Jesus said, if you have seen the Father, you have seen me. In John chapter 10, verse 30, he said, I and the Father are one.
[4:14] And so it takes us, let's go to Hebrews. Hebrews chapter 1, verse 1, it says that God, oh, I'd like to start that. Say God. God. God. Hebrews chapter 1, verse 1, say God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets.
[4:31] He needed prophets. He was just through the instrumentality of prophets, through the medium of prophets, he was revealing himself through his speaking. But now he said, I'm going to come down myself and show you me.
[4:45] Amen. He said, I want to show you me. In John chapter 1, verse 18, he says that no one has seen the Father at any time. The only begotten Son, the monogamous.
[4:55] Say the only begotten Son. The only begotten Son. Say it louder. The only begotten Son. Say it for the last time, louder. The only begotten Son. The monogamous. The only begotten Son used about three times or so in the scriptures for God.
[5:09] The Son. Say the Son. The Son. Today, I want to see if I can title this message, The Seated Son. The Son is seated. It makes my heart begin to live for joy.
[5:25] The Son is seated. So, he says that no one has seen the Father at any time. But the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has declared him.
[5:38] He has manifested him. He has revealed him. He has expressed him. A son of God is a God expresser.
[5:52] So, if we are sons, then it means that we are also called to express him. And so, we are being transformed into the image of his dear son.
[6:05] Romans chapter 8, verse 29. We are being conformed into the image of his. So, that whatever he was doing, we also begin to do. And your assignment as a Christian on earth is not to get more money.
[6:20] Your assignment as a Christian on earth is not to get healing. It's not an assignment. It's benefits. Amen. So, healing and health and prosperity and blessing and peace and favor is just part of the covenant package.
[6:34] All right. It comes as a package. They give you the job and the job comes with a car and a house. And then every year, a bonus of 20,000 or more.
[6:45] So, it's a package. So, you don't say, that's why I'm doing the job. No, you are not doing the job for the package. There's a better assignment. The assignment of the believer, of the Christian as a son is to declare the Father.
[6:56] It's to reveal the Father. It's to express God. That's why Paul said, I pray, I travel in prayer for you until Christ be formed in you. Because you are supposed to be declaring and manifesting him.
[7:09] Because actually, you have never seen God. And the God we know is Christ. And we are supposed to manifest Christ. That's why we are Christians. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Your Christianity has not got to just do with your prosperity.
[7:22] It has to do with your manifestation of Christ. God, who at various times, in various ways, spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by who?
[7:36] By who? By who? His son. So, you see that the son came to declare him. He has spoken. The only way God reveals himself is through us. So, previously in the past, he was revealing himself through the prophets.
[7:49] But now, he has spoken through the son. Because son, the son is the word. But it's interesting. Look at the text very carefully. The next word after the son is what got my attention.
[8:01] Do you see that? What's the next word after the son? What is the whom pointing to? The son. The son.
[8:12] So, he said, before I go any further, let me say a bit more about it. Because this whole thing, you can't be a Hebrew and not know the son. Put your sunglasses on.
[8:22] Yes. Yes. Read your Bible. Put your sunglasses on. You see, every word is spelled S-O-N in the Bible. And until you put your S-O-N glasses on, you won't see the son and you won't understand what the...
[8:37] You understand this Hebrew life. Because Hebrew... The life of the Hebrews is all about the son. But let's find out what he just said about the son. All right. Now, first thing he said about the son is that the son whom he has appointed.
[8:53] Oh. Heir of all things. Remember in Romans chapter 8, we are joint heirs. Verse 17. We are joint heirs. So, whatever the son has been appointed to do, we are joint heirs.
[9:05] Now, he has appointed the son heir. He was appointed heir. He wasn't born heir. He was appointed. He was born a son. We are children of God.
[9:17] As we mature, we become... We mature into sonship. Because a child cannot inherit. It takes sons to inherit. Read your Bible. Galatians chapter 4. He said a child, as long as he remains an infant, is under tuitous and governance.
[9:30] That's right. That's right. Fine. Until when he becomes matured, when he can take over the father's estate. Before he is allowed to take over.
[9:41] So, children don't inherit. It can be bequieted to them. But they have to be... They have to come to maturity to know what it's actually. Because that five-year-old boy doesn't know what that plane means.
[9:55] He doesn't know. He's a child. And so, he can't manage it. So, you have to appoint some governors to keep it for him until he comes of age. He comes to full age.
[10:05] Then, he can actually take the reins. As long as you remain a child, you can't be in control. God wants us to grow up into mature sonship. But being a son is not all.
[10:16] You have to become an heir. You have to be born into a child of God. Matured into a son of God. And then appointed into an heir of Christ. A joint heir of God. So, he has appointed heir of all things.
[10:29] All things are under his control. In Colossians chapter 1 verse 17. Colossians, put you on the screen please. Colossians chapter 1 verse 17 says that. And he is before all things. And in him all things consist.
[10:42] Everything that belongs to the father is his. He's the heir of all. If you want to get it from God, you might as well go to Christ. Anyone who goes outside of the sun can't get from God.
[10:53] John chapter 14 verse 6. No one comes to the father except by me. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. So, appointed heir of all things. Through whom also he made, oh boy.
[11:06] The worlds. The worlds were framed or were made by the son. When you read other translations, it's the ages.
[11:17] It's the universe. Entire. Everything created. Through him. In John chapter 1 verse 3. We understand that John 1 verse 3 said.
[11:28] All things were made. All things were made through him. All things were made through him. And without him, nothing was made that was made. Just the one we are talking about, the son. So, all things were made by the son.
[11:39] Or were made through the son. And nothing was made that was made. Except by the son. In Colossians chapter 1 verse 16. It talks about. For by him all things were created.
[11:50] Say created. Created. By the son. All things were created. That are in heaven and that are on earth. Visible and invisible. Whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.
[12:02] All things were created through him and for him. And for God so loved the world. Now what did he do? He gave the son.
[12:13] The son. By whom all things were made through. All things belonged to him. He gave the son to you. There was a man who was dying years ago.
[12:24] Some centuries ago. Very wealthy man. He had estates. Lands. Talk about it. Wealthy. I mean. Adelines. He had so much. Very wealthy man.
[12:35] And he had the servants who had served him for years. The servant was so faithful. You know there are times that people have servants who are so faithful they become like sons. The servant was like a son to him. Everything.
[12:46] So faithful. And when the man was dying. He bequeathed everything to the servant. He had one son. No son. I was wondering. Why? I said don't worry.
[12:56] So when they read the will. Everything was bequeathed to the servant. And the son was sad. Because he hadn't seen the end of the story. Later on he found out that the servant was also given to him.
[13:08] So everything was given to the servant. And the servant was given to the son. On the flip side.
[13:22] There's another rich very wealthy man. Who had a servant. Who was running the estate for so many years. And the man died. And. No. The man called his servant and son.
[13:33] Because he has only two. One son. And the servant. Faithful servant. He said you've served me so well. And my son. I love you guys so much. I'm about to die. I want to give everything now. But I want my son to choose first.
[13:44] Let him choose. And then when he finished the rest. The servant you can also choose. And anything everyone chooses. Is yours for life. So as long as it belongs to me. Once you choose it. It's yours for life. And the son said.
[13:55] Well I choose everything. The son chose everything the father has got. Everything. Nothing was left. He said. Everything so long as yours. I choose it. So he said. Oh man.
[14:05] Seven. Not everything. What would you also choose? He said. Oh I don't have a problem. I choose your son. As long as I have the son.
[14:16] I've got everything. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. Because by him all things were created.
[14:28] Through him everything was created. There was nothing created that was created without him. And all things were created by him and for him. Colossians 1.16. So here we find out that number one. The son is the heir of all things.
[14:39] Number two. All things were made through him. Number three. I like this one. Who being the brightness of his glory.
[14:51] The express image of his person. The son is the brightness of his glory. God is glorious. You can't see him. But when you see the son you can see how bright God is. The glory of God.
[15:02] The sun. As I said. The sun. The sun. The sun. You can't go to the sun. But we see the sun through the rays. We feel it. We experience the sun. The brightness of the sun.
[15:13] The rays of the sun. And the sun. The sun. The sun. The sun. The sun of God. The sun of the father. Is the reflection of the glory of God. So he is the.
[15:24] The Bible says that he is the. The brightness. The brightness of his glory. And the express image of his person. The Greek word translated image.
[15:37] Means that. Like the way you etch. Something in a. In metal. In the way you etch a name. Somebody's. Or you carve something in a wood.
[15:49] That's. So. It's interesting. That. I think. In the whole of the New Testament. Particularly the Bible. I think. So. I think. The. The whole of the Bible. The only place this word was used.
[16:01] As the. Express image. Is here. It was a normal word that was being used. But this way. It's what. It's like the way. You. As I told you the other time.
[16:15] Tampering. Exact. Whatever you see. Is that what you get. And the image. Is how. Emboss. You emboss something. So. You have a wood. And you carve something into the wood. In the wood.
[16:25] That is how God. Has carved himself on the sun. Did you understand that? He's carved himself on the sun. So when you look at the sun. You see now. What is. It says that. The sun is the express image.
[16:37] Of the father. What does that mean? What is the image of the father? The image of the father. Is not. You see. Oh sorry. Of his person. Of his person. When we talk about.
[16:47] The person of God. We are talking about his nature. His person. His nature. His essence. The essence of God. His nature. Is imprinted on the sun. Can you imagine?
[16:58] So a human being walking. And you can look at him. And then tell the nature of God. God. That is why no sin was found in him. Because he was the immediate. The express image of God.
[17:09] Of God's person. Of God's nature. Of God's essence. So in Colossians chapter 2 verse 9. As I quoted earlier on. Put you on the screen. I think it would be good. We all read it together. Colossians 2 9.
[17:21] Are you ready to read it? Let's go. Let's read it out. Let's go. For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. Louder for the last time. For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
[17:33] So all the fullness. All the fullness. The totality. The entirety of the Godhead. Find a bodily expression in Christ.
[17:45] The physical bodily God on earth. God in human form. The fullness of the Godhead dwells in him physically. That's why he said. When you sin.
[17:56] If you sin me. You sin the father. Philip said. Show us the father. And it is enough for us. How? Have I been with you all this while? John chapter 14 verse 7 down. Have I been with you all this while?
[18:07] And you don't know me? Then verse 9 says that. Whoever has sinned me. Has sinned the father. Because I and the father are one the same. One and the same. I am the father. I am the father.
[18:18] Shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So for in him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily. He is the image. All right. So he is the heir. He is the. By him all things were created.
[18:31] All things were created. And then he is the image of God. The image of God. Colossians 1 15. We spoke about the image of God.
[18:42] John chapter 14 verse 9. If you have seen me. You have seen the father. So how many things have we noticed about the son? Number one is the heir of all things. All right. Number two what?
[18:53] All things were created. Okay. All things were created. All things were created. through him. All right. And for him. All right.
[19:03] Number three. He is the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person. Number four. Upholding all things by the word of his power. Upholding all things.
[19:15] Hebrews chapter 1 verse 3. Hebrews chapter 1. Who being the brightness. Verse 3. Let's already allow. Let's go. Let's read from the screen. Let's go. Who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person.
[19:30] And upholding all things by the word of his power. Let's read that bit again. And upholding all things by the word of his power. How does he uphold things? All things.
[19:41] Remember. All things were created by him by his word. He created all things. How did he create all things? By his word. Hebrews chapter 11 verse 3. It says by faith we understand.
[19:51] That the worlds were framed by the word of God. All right. So we understand that the world was framed by the word of God. Say the word. The word. In John chapter 1 verse 1 to 3.
[20:02] In the beginning was the word. The word was with God. And the word was God. By. The word was God. It says that all things were made. In the beginning was all things were made by him.
[20:13] And all things. Verse 3. All things were made. All things were made through him. And without him was nothing made that was made. Talking about the word.
[20:24] Everything that exists. That exists. Exists because. Or through the word. Was made by the word. In. In. In. Psalm 33 verse 9. Psalm 33 verse 9.
[20:35] Let's look at that. That's a very good text. Psalm 33 verse 9. He spoke. And it was done. He commanded. And it's too fast. Someone say thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus.
[20:46] How did all these things come into existence? He spoke. And it was done. He commanded. Ah. Everything that God is commanding in your life. It doesn't matter the negativities you see.
[20:57] They shall be so for you. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. The word of God will prevail in your life. In the name of Jesus. He spoke.
[21:11] And it was so. Psalm 33. It says that. For he spoke. Word. He spoke. And it was done. Consider it done. Whatever God has said. All things were created by his word.
[21:25] And so. He created by his word. And guess what? He saved us by his word. In John chapter. Chapter 5 verse 24. John 5 24.
[21:37] How does this. He said. You can't doubt this. This is what I'm telling you. He said. Most assuredly. This one is. You can't fault it. It's definite. Okay. Most assuredly. I say to you.
[21:48] He who hears what. My word. And believes in him who sent me. Has everlasting life. And shall not come into judgment. By his past. If. What does it take for you to be saved? Hear his word.
[21:59] And believe. Word. The word. It takes the word to save you. It took the word. The word. To create the worlds. It takes the word. To save you.
[22:10] In Romans chapter 10 verse 8. It talks about the word of faith. Which we preach. That same word. Romans 10. He said. But what does he say? The word is. It's not too far. The word is near you.
[22:21] In your mouth. In your heart. That is the word of faith. Which we preach. The word. That's what it takes to save us. Say the word. Romans chapter 10 verse 17. He says that for faith. Oh man.
[22:33] He said. So faith comes by. Oh. You are not getting it. For you to be saved. You need to get the word. He created us by his word. He saved us by his word.
[22:45] And his word. Is the demonstration. Give the. His word. Is the avenue. For the demonstration. Of his authority. So in Matthew chapter 8. Verse 8 and 9.
[22:56] His word. He said. I'm a man under authority. Because the centurion. Answered and said. I'm not worthy that you should come to. You can't. But only speak the word. And my servants shall be.
[23:07] Verse 9. Look at verse 9. Verse 9. He said that for I am a man under authority. Having soldiers under me. And I said to this one. Go. And he goeth.
[23:17] To the another. Come. And he comes. And to my servants. Do this. And they do it. Shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. It takes word.
[23:30] To manifest the authority. So the man told Jesus. Jesus don't come. Just speak. Because you are a man of authority. Your words are enough. Your words carry your authority. Your words manifest.
[23:41] And give. Pave the way. For your authority to be in this place. Shout. Speak the word. Speak the word. When you are frustrated. When things are down. Don't be looking for another pastor.
[23:52] Another people. Another prophet. Another agent. Look for the word from God. If you have a word from God. You can't be stranded in life. If you have a word from God. Stand on the word.
[24:03] Walk on the word. Hey Jesus. I feel like preaching. In the book of Matthew. Matthew chapter 14. Jesus was walking on the sea. Peter saw Jesus walking on the sea. Verse 28 of Matthew chapter 14.
[24:14] Peter said. Lord. If it is you. Don't bid me to come. And Jesus said. Come. And as soon as the word was spoken. The brother began to walk on the word. He began to walk on.
[24:25] He wasn't walking on water. He was walking on the word. Because you can't walk on water. You have to walk on the word. Shall speak the word. Speak the word.
[24:35] Because if you didn't need the word. You should have said. Give me a word. He said. If you. Is it you? All right. I'm coming. But if.
[24:46] I can't come. If you have not given me a word to walk on. I need a word to walk on. I need a word for. You are too fearful. Get the word. Get the word sir.
[24:58] Go for God's word. And your future will be sorted. Go for God's word. You are too fearful. You are too fearful. Fear not.
[25:08] Only believe the word. Oh time. The son. The son. He opposed all things.
[25:20] By the word. The word of his power. Hebrews chapter 1 verse 3. He opposed. All things. All things were created by the word. We are saved by the word.
[25:32] The word paved the room for his authority to be displayed. And. He just gives instructions. And it happens by his word. Bible says in the book of John chapter.
[25:43] Chapter 4. Verse 50 and 51. Hey. I feel like preaching to someone. Oh Jesus. He said. Jesus said. Go your way. Your son liveth. The man believed. He believed the word. He believed the word that Jesus spoke to him.
[25:57] And went his way. Verse 51. And as he. As he was now going down. His servant met him. And told him. Your son. What did Jesus say? The man came to Jesus.
[26:08] He said. My son is dying. Jesus said. Go. Your son liveth. And he took the word. And went. And he had. Went. After he had. At least had the word. And taken it for. What Jesus said. He started going. Another word came from home.
[26:19] Now your son liveth. Isn't it not the same thing. Jesus told him. Shall speak the word. See the word. He takes the word.
[26:30] So he said. He upholds all things. By the word of his power. He sustains it. He holds it together. He holds it together. He holds it together.
[26:41] He didn't just create it. He holds things together. In him. All things. Are held together. Shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Shout hallelujah.
[26:51] Hallelujah. Hmm. The word. So he upholds. He upholds. All things. You know. I'm just. I'm just trying to work something out.
[27:02] And see how much time I can. Work this. Praise God. All right. Let's. Let's. Let's. Let's just go anyhow. Let's go.
[27:14] Whatever. Because I've not. I've not spoken about the city sun. I've just. So far. I've been talking about the sun. The sun. The word. The word. The word. The sun. The word.
[27:24] The sun. The word. The sun. The word. But we are talking. We want to. Hebrews. We. Our city sun is important to us. All right. Let's go.
[27:34] Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. So. Verse three. Put you on the screen. Let's read it out again. Verse three. Hebrews chapter one. Verse three. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Who being the brightness of his glory. And the express image of his person.
[27:45] And upholding all things. By the word of his power. Now. Probably next week. If I get time. I'll probably talk a bit more about. Appointing all things. By the word of the Bible. But I want to go to the seated one. When.
[27:56] Let's read it. When he had by himself. He sat at the right hand. Of the majesty. Ah. Shout hallelujah.
[28:07] Hallelujah. He finished the job. He went and sat down. He finished. Hallelujah. Shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. When he had.
[28:19] By himself. Put you on the screen. When he. When he had. By himself. Say by himself. By himself. Say by himself. By himself. In Titus chapter two.
[28:30] Verse fourteen. It talks about how he. He. He. He paid us from our sins. Or he delivered from. By his blood. Titus chapter two. Verse fourteen. It talks about. It says that. Who gave himself for us.
[28:42] That he might redeem us. From every lawless deed. And purify. For himself. His own special people. Zealos for good works.
[28:53] Hey. He did it for himself. He took us. By himself. Picked us from our sins. In Revelation chapter one. Verse five. Revelation. And.
[29:05] Cairns. Is it right? Five. And from Jesus. The faithful witness. The first born from the dead. The ruler over the kings of the earth. To him. Who loved us.
[29:16] And washed us from our sins. In his own blood. Because. Because. Where we are coming from. The Old Testament relationship.
[29:28] That people had with God. Didn't have what it takes. And what it took. To take away sin. Yeah. It was just covering their sins. So in Psalm.
[29:41] 32 verse one. Psalm 32 verse one. Look at Psalm 32 verse one. Oh. Somebody. Follow me. Blessed. Is he. Whose transgressions are forgiven.
[29:52] Whose sins are what? Whose sins are what? That is the best they could have. But I'm here to announce to you. That your sins are not covered. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
[30:02] Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Nowisa band has shared his love community journalist more, told her to visit the request ofальные missions on right now.
[30:16] Again as Google的時候 the travel training, there are the High School system fullemente色 meets am subsequently as you know all these things that he believes shipment, and there are ones you recognize that you know the answer to be perfect once again and see where to join in this one other scene, all that is what it is you know what I think about the outcome of deficiency is what I don't do, but that is when you know it's the ultimate client of IC, that is why the zombies've here, that's a complete determination.
[30:34] Myレkim mangler went through that rely on meас I said, earthworm. And it's something to make you laugh. We don't have time. Stop laughing. Let's move on. Someone has got ringworm.
[30:46] And let's say an adult like me, I've got ringworm on my hands. And it's kind of very uncomfortable and unsightly. It's unsightly. I'll cover it. So when you see me, you never know I got it.
[30:59] Like the way most of us, we never know you got it. We never know you are bored. It's easy. But it's okay to cover stuff.
[31:17] Because that's the best you got. When Adam and Eve sin in the garden, the Bible said, God covered them. They tried to cover themselves with leaves. But it wasn't working. So God himself covered them, killed animals, and used the animal skin.
[31:31] Because without the shedding of blood, there's no. There's no remission. There's no covering. So the Bible says that if your sins are covered, you are blessed.
[31:42] But I'm telling you, you are blessed. If your Bible says that this is that. In John chapter 1. John chapter 1, verse 29. Come on. Let's read it all together. John 1, 29.
[31:52] Are you ready to read it out loud? Let's go. The next day. Read it out loud. Let's go loud. The next day. John saw Jesus coming towards him. And he said, behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
[32:07] Shout hallelujah. Shout hallelujah. The Lamb of God that locovers sins. He takes it away.
[32:19] He takes it away. He removes our sins. He takes it away. Shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Who by himself.
[32:31] When he has pierced us. Hebrews chapter 1, verse 3. By himself. When he has pierced us. Pierced our sins. He said, I have not finished the job.
[32:42] You are a forgiven man. Sinless. God has, heaven doesn't see sin around you. But that's not enough. Because you may sin again. Or there are some things that can be working against you on earth.
[32:54] Amen. So, when he had done that, he sat down. But may I submit to you. In the Old Testament, they were also dealing with sins. Because you can't have sin and be dealing with God.
[33:05] So, if you have to come to God, get rid of that sin. So, they had to deal with it. So, they had, God gave them systems to help them deal with it. Because it needs to be sorted out.
[33:17] Because I need to fellowship with God. I need to take a wash. So, I need water and soap. So, God had something to be covering their sins. Alright. And he instituted the priests.
[33:28] And the priests, every time, once in a year, would go before God. And make sacrifices for himself first. And for the sins of the people.
[33:40] So, sacrifice and God have accepted it. But the prayer was a problem. He had to keep coming. So, he kept standing. He couldn't sit. There is an unfinished business.
[33:59] I don't know how many of you have felt this before. The high priest. The priests who were offering sacrifices for blood. Can't sit. So, look at Hebrews chapter 10 verse 11. It's okay to work it a little bit because of our time.
[34:13] Hebrews chapter 10 verse 11. And every priest doing what? Stop. Every priest doing what? Stop. Stop. Every priest authorities ministernity daily and offering equipment repeatedly.
[34:26] They say, oops. They say, exactly, they say. I salute him. I'll finish business. So, they have to keep doing it. They have to keep doing it. If they stop, someone will be in trouble.
[34:38] They have to keep doing it. They were standing. They can't sit down. but our king, our high priest, our Lord. Shout hallelujah. Shout hallelujah.
[34:54] Look at verse 9 of Hebrews chapter 10. Look at verse 9. Then he said, behold, I have come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first that must establish the second.
[35:06] Look at verse 10. The 10 is where I go. By that will, yes, by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Christ. How many times? He did it once and for all.
[35:22] Watch this because of time. Why was the priest standing? Why were the priests of the Othens? Why did they have? Because they have to continue. Repeatedly, the same thing that was not bringing the result they wanted.
[35:33] It couldn't take away sin. But our Lord. And you know what? When he finished doing it, go to verse 12. Look at verse 12.
[35:44] Let's all read verse 12 together. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever. Sat down. Shout hallelujah.
[35:56] Shout hallelujah. He sat down. He sat down. He sat down.
[36:06] The son is seated. He's not standing. He's seated. The son is seated. The son is seated. Amen. My time will not permit me to tell you, why is he seated?
[36:24] Two jobs. Two jobs. Oh, man. Oh, my God. Two jobs. He was seated to offer, to minister on your behalf. Hebrews chapter 8, verse 1.
[36:36] The son is what? Seated. Now, we have such a high priest who is seated at the right hand of the throne. No, where he's seated is throne. Seated at the right hand.
[36:47] But later on, I will show you that he's not seated alone. You know, how many people can sit on the throne of Queen Elizabeth? One at a time. But this throne. Later on, you'll find out.
[37:01] No, he wasn't sitting on God's throne or instead of God. He was seated at the right hand. Okay? So, in Hebrews chapter 1, verse 13, God actually said to him, sit at my right hand.
[37:12] Hebrews 1, verse 13. Look at that. But to which of the angels has he said, sit at my right hand till I make your... So, he was giving... Right hand can also be a position of authority.
[37:24] Nothing can be done without him. But let me add this because I may not have the chance to go into this. But let me add this. So, those of you who think that he has... You see God's authority and he has sat down and now God is...
[37:36] Because we are going to be seated with him and now God is... We are the same as God. No. Where he was seated, even though he was seated on the throne, right hand of God, he was still under the authority of the Father.
[37:47] So, in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verse 27 and verse 28, is someone following me at all? Yes, Pastor. 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verse 28. I wish the one upstairs would also follow me the way you guys are following me.
[37:59] Or maybe he's just taking notes. For 1 Corinthians... Verse 27 and 28. Verse 27 and 28. For he has put all things under his feet.
[38:11] But when he says all things are put under his feet, it's evident that he who put all things under his feet is exempted. Talking about Christ. Things were put under his feet. But not God himself put himself under his feet.
[38:22] Go to verse 28. Now, when all things are made subject to him, then the son himself will also be subject to him who put all things under his feet. Are you getting it?
[38:34] So, he didn't go and take God's position. Because man is in heaven. He's called the son. And he's seated there doing what? In Hebrews chapter 8, verse 1.
[38:46] Look at verse 1. Look at that. Hebrews chapter 8, verse 1. There's so many scriptures I could have showed you. I wanted to show you. 1 Corinthians chapter 3, verse 22. I wanted to show you. Okay, let's go. Hebrews chapter 8, verse 1. He said, now, the main point you're saying is this.
[38:58] We have such a high priest who is seated at the right hand of the throne of majesty in heavens. Watch this. In the heavens. Go to verse 2. Verse 2 quickly. A minister of the... So, he's there ministering on our behalf.
[39:09] Wow. Things that you're supposed to be serving God. He's doing. He said, don't worry. I will do it for you. A minister. A minister of the sanctuary and the true tabernacle which the Lord erected and not man.
[39:22] So, he's there ministering on our behalf. He's ministering on our behalf. But it's interesting, brothers and sisters, to know. He's not just ministering on our behalf. He's also seated there as on the throne as our high priest interseed.
[39:35] Hebrews chapter 4, verse 14, verse 15. Hebrews chapter 7, verse 26. Oh, are you ready for this? Hebrews chapter 4, verse 14.
[39:46] Seeing that we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens. Jesus. You see, the son of God keeps repeating. Jesus, the son of God. Let us hold fast our confession.
[39:57] What is he now? He's a high priest. The son of God is a high priest. That's our high priest. Let us hold fast our confession. Verse 15. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness.
[40:07] But was at all point tempted as we are. So, he's seated there sympathizing with our weakness. Interceding on our behalf. Hebrews chapter 7, verse 26.
[40:18] Hebrews 7, verse 26 says that for such a high priest was fitting for us. I like that one. He's fitting for us. You need someone who is fitting for you. But we have a high priest who is fitting. We have such a high priest fitting for us.
[40:31] Who is holy? Harmless. And defiled. Separate. It's not like sinners. It's separated from. Bible said that the sting of death is sin. So long as there is sin in you, when you are dying, you are staying there.
[40:44] Stay there. Sin kept them there because the sting of death. First Corinthians chapter 15, verse 53 down the road. The sting of death is sin. So, as long as there is sin in you, death can catch you.
[40:57] But our high priest. But our high priest. He did it once and for all. Lay down his life. He said because it was not possible that he should be held by death.
[41:10] The grave could not hold him. It's not possible. You will not suffer your holy one to see corruption. Because he's too holy. Shout hallelujah.
[41:22] Acts chapter 2, verse 27. For it is 22, it was not possible for grave to hold him. So, he came back from the grave to make sure the victory died for you is making sure he's getting into your hands.
[41:36] And he went up there. He's finished his job. That's why it says that the last year, John chapter 19, verse 30, is finished. And went and sat on the right hand of majesty. According to Hebrews chapter 10, verse 12.
[41:49] According to Hebrews chapter 12, verse 2. Talks about he has gone into the heavens. He's seated at the right. Hebrews 10, verse 12. Put it on the screen. Let's see if I'm right. Hebrews 10, verse 12. He says that, verse 10, verse 12.
[42:00] I mean, 10, verse 12. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sin, sat at the right hand of God. He sat down. Hebrews 12, verse 2.
[42:11] I should put it on. We can put it back on. Oh, my time. Hebrews 12, verse 2. Looking unto Jesus, the altar of the vision of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him, and the joy that was set before him, and the joy that was set before him, and the cross, the sparsely and the shame. And he sat at the right hand of the throne of God.
[42:25] He sat down. He sat down. The son is seated. When did he go? After he had purged us from our sins by himself. He said, now I can sit down.
[42:37] Matter is finished. He can settle down and speak on your behalf. So you can carry on your life in him. Come on, someone.
[42:51] Put your hands together for the Lord and shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Woo! This is the son we are talking about. He holds all things by the word of his power.
[43:04] Upholds all things by the word of his power. So let's see what we have found so far about the son. Number one, the son, all things were made. God is speaking to the son.
[43:15] He has appointed him heir of all things. Through him all things were made. The whole world, the world was made. Be the brightness. It's the brightness of God's glory and the express image of his person.
[43:26] He upholds all things by the word of his power. And then when he has purged us from our sins, he also just sat down. While the others were standing.
[43:39] He sat down to let you know. Now, boy, go on with business. Matter settled. There's no unfinished business. Because our high priest is seated, you can also sit down. And rest in God.
[43:52] Because your case is sorted. Your health is taken care of. Your financial situation is taken care of. In the mighty name of Jesus, I prophesy over your life that the word of God will speak for you.
[44:02] The word of God will work for you. As you put your faith in God, his word will be manifested over your life. In the mighty name of Jesus. Any unresolved situation against your destiny is crushed by the power of the Holy Ghost.
[44:16] In the name of Jesus. For our king, the son, is seated. Shout hallelujah. Did you receive something? Come on, put your hands together.
[44:26] For our king. Thank you for listening.
