As Christians, it is critical to understand our identity in Christ. In this series, Dr. David Antwi outlines what it really means to be a Christian and also highlights an important responsibility; the call to grow in Christ. We are certain you will be truly blessed as you listen and share.
[0:01] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another word-filled message by David Entry. Preaching is the means by which God manifests His word and nourishes our spirits. May the life of God enter into you and you as you listen to this message. Be blessed.
[0:18] We are redeemed from the curse of the Lord. We are redeemed. Say, I'm redeemed. I'm redeemed. Say it like a minute. I'm redeemed. Do you know why I say you should say it? The Bible says, let the redeemed of the Lord say so.
[0:29] Yes. Say, say, I'm redeemed. I'm redeemed. And what else? Sealed. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit. The seal of God is upon us.
[0:39] We are sealed with the Holy Spirit. And what else did we say? We have the mind of Christ. I said that last Sunday that we have the mind of Christ, the mind of Christ.
[0:50] We think like Christ. Amen. And then what else did I say? We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. So we have the mind of Christ. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. What else did I say? We have the gift of the Holy Spirit.
[1:07] We have this gift. We have been made alive. Okay, what else did we say? We are not born again to suffer again. Let's move on to the next one.
[1:19] We are born again. We are born again by the word of God. It is such a profound thing we have to know.
[1:32] The word of God. We have been born again by the word of God. In 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 23. 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 23.
[1:47] In 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 23. Shall we? 1 Peter chapter 1. Chapter 1 verse 23. 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 23. Let's all read it together.
[1:59] Let's go. I have been born again. Not of the gospel seed. But of incorruptible. Through the word of God. Which lives and lives forever.
[2:10] One more time. Let's read it again. I have been born again. Not of the gospel seed. But incorruptible. Through the word of God. Which is the entire time.
[2:21] Having been born again. So we are born again. And then it tells us what is behind we being born. What gives birth to us. How we are born again. It says we are born again.
[2:32] Not of corruptible seed. Okay. There can be birth without seed. Right. So it says that. If you plant an apple seed.
[2:45] Or an orange seed. What are you likely to get? It's not likely. You're just going to have orange. Alright. So. If you don't know what's going to grow.
[2:57] What you have to check. Is just check what sort of seed we planted. And that. When you have an idea. What sort of seed you planted. It will tell you what sort of plant. You should have. In the same way.
[3:08] So every life. That grows. Anything that has life. Always must have a seed. And it says that. Our life that we've got. Remember we said we have the life of God. We have life in Christ.
[3:19] The life of Christ. The life that we have. We have been born again. But not by a seed that is corruptible. What does it mean? When we say something is corruptible. Or we say a seed is corruptible.
[3:30] What does that mean? What does that mean? It can be what? Painted. Painted. Painted. Painted. Painted. Painted. Painted. Painted. Painted.
[3:42] Painted. Painted. Eh? Dead. Yes. It can be tampered. Tampered with. Eh? Perveted. Perveted. It can be corrupted.
[3:54] When they say a file is corrupted. What does that mean? Infiltrated. Sorry? Infiltrated by something bad. What did you? Infected. Damaged. So when something is corrupted.
[4:06] That means it loses its purity. What originally it loses value. Okay? It's either. When a seed is corrupted. That means the seed may not even germinate at all. It becomes.
[4:17] It's not. It loses its viability. When a seed is corrupted. Maybe it may even grow but it will be deformed. Or something will be missing. Okay? Now it says that. It didn't say that the seed is not corrupted.
[4:28] It said it's the seed. The word of God that gives birth to us is incorruptible. It's a serious one. It's not different. It's different from it's not corrupted. It said it is. It cannot be corrupted.
[4:40] And so that means that what gives birth to you as a Christian when you become born again. The thing is ever living and ever sure. Nothing can destroy. That's why the Bible talks about what can separate us from the love of Christ.
[4:52] Which love of God which is in Christ Jesus. Can death. Can life. Can height. Neither height nor depth nor anything present. Nothing can destroy. Because the life that we have got in Christ is indestructible.
[5:06] So once you are born again you are just born again. And so if you watch. If you decide to watch this. Every seed has in itself all the components that the tree will require to become what kind of tree it must be.
[5:25] It's packaged in one seed. And then given the necessary conditions the tree begins to germinate. And then given exposed to either sunlight or photosynthesis begins to take place.
[5:39] And other things all the things the nutrients begin all the things begin to take place. Then it begins to show the things that are already in the seed. Okay. So that what. Oh just listen to where I'm going.
[5:51] What. Whatever God has packaged for your destiny is in your born. The seed that gave birth to you. That made you born again. And watch. He said it cannot be corrupted. And so your placement in Christ is settled.
[6:04] If you don't get it then it's your fault. So at every point in time you can activate it and begin to walk into it. Because it is not corruptible. It's there. The seed that gave birth to you is not corruptible.
[6:16] So it is there for you. Born again. We have been born again through the word of God which abides forever. Say abides forever. Abides forever.
[6:27] The devil cannot take it from you. No situation can take it from you. You can suppress it and ignore it. But the word of God and his potency abides forever. Healing. It's in the word.
[6:39] When you are born again it's all in your system. It's there. I'm not talking to anyone who is born again yet. It's in you. Your healing is not in the pastor's hands. Your healing is not on the crucial ground.
[6:52] Your healing is where? In you. Your healing from God is already in you.
[7:02] It came with the born again. It's a package. And we have been born again by the word of God. In fact I like the way Peter said it. First Peter chapter 1.
[7:13] The same chapter. I think verse 3. If you remove the 22 from there you get the 3. I think it talks about how for blessed be God who has according to his abundance has begotten us again.
[7:25] Has born again. We are born again. Okay. Unto a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the dead. A living hope which doesn't die.
[7:36] Yeah. Because we are born again by the incorruptible word of God which are by them forever. So when you are born again you see you have hope that does not die. You are born.
[7:48] There is. Hey. There is. There is. There is. There is. There are untold. There are untold possibilities and realities in the realm of the spirit for you. That's why Ephesians talks about how he has blessed us with all spiritual blessings.
[8:01] In 2nd Peter chapter 1 verse 3. This is why is 1st Peter chapter 1. In 2nd Peter chapter 1 verse 3. It talks about he has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. As his divine power has given to us all things.
[8:14] Say all things. All things. All things that pertain to life and godliness has already been given to you. It's available for you. It's been given. So if you want to succeed in life. He has given you all the things that pertain to life.
[8:26] You want to succeed in your Christian life. He has been given to you. Everything that makes you a better Christian and a powerful Christian and a good Christian. It's been given to you already. It came with the package. When you got born again. Because you have been born again.
[8:37] Not by the corruptible seed. But by the incorruptible seed. Which is the word of God. Which abides forever. You cannot be corrupted. Your mind can be corrupted.
[8:48] But not the seed that gave birth to you. Because this. Watch this. I like this one. Praise. The seed that gives birth to people. That seed that gave birth to us. Is God.
[8:59] God. The Greek word that was translated seed. Is spoma. Which is the same word. That translates as sperm. So it's like God's.
[9:11] It contains the DNA of God. So this born again thing is not like an ideology. It's a reality. When you are born again. Something spiritual has actually happened to you.
[9:23] You see. The sad thing is that many people don't really know it. Because if you don't feel it. You don't have to feel it. You don't have to feel it. When you. When you. When you. When you. When you. You write.
[9:34] When you pass an exam. Or you got the. Do you feel it. I don't. No. The certificate is what talks. The facts are there. It's. The document is what tells you the facts. Now the documents say.
[9:46] That you have been born again by an incorruptible seed. The documents say. That you have been born again into. Inheritance of God. The document says that you have been born again.
[9:56] It has given to us all that pertain to life and godliness. Amen. Say I'm blessed. I'm blessed. If I were you. When I wake up in the morning. I would say I'm blessed. I am blessed. I am blessed.
[10:07] In spite of the situations. When you wake up in the morning. The first thing you should say to Jesus. Thank you. I am blessed. Thank God. And then declare. You should know that. You see you don't. You don't have to feel it.
[10:17] You should know it. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Because every adult tells you that you don't live by feelings. Because if you live your life based on feelings, you make a lot of mistakes because feelings change.
[10:33] Feelings change. You know? Praise God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I'll tell you something later one day.
[10:50] The next point is, so watch this. We are born again by the word of God. Say, I'm born again by the word of God. That word that created everything on earth is what gave birth to me as a child of God.
[11:04] The next point is, I like this. I've been waiting to get here. Because this one will sound very good to most of us here. You know, when you are born again, you know what happens to you?
[11:15] When you are born again, you are forgiven and cleansed by the blood of Christ. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not his benefit. Bless the Lord who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases.
[11:28] And it says that, who forgives all your iniquities. God forgives all. God forgives all. Let's all say that together.
[11:39] God forgives all. He either forgives you all or he doesn't forgive you at all. He either forgives you all or he doesn't forgive you at all.
[11:50] So if you feel, see the word again. If you feel some stuff have not been actually forgiving you, then, if you feel, if you feel you haven't been actually forgiven some, then you haven't been forgiven all.
[12:09] Because God will not forgive you some and leave. So God forgives you all or doesn't forgive you at all. Now, if you believe that he's forgiven you, then you might as well receive the forgiveness of all.
[12:23] In Psalm 103, it says that, Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not his benefit. Bless the Lord, O my soul, who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases.
[12:35] Say, I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. In Ephesians chapter 1 verse 7, that is a good one. In Ephesians chapter 1 verse 7, it says that, In him we have redemption.
[12:47] In him we have redemption through his blood. How many of us believe we have been redeemed? Okay. So we have been redeemed.
[12:58] And he said, The forgiveness of sin, according to the riches of his grace. I'm forgiven. Once you are in Christ, you are forgiven. When you are in sin, you really know you are in sin. Sometimes when you come to the, when you are in sin and you come to church, sometimes the pastor is preaching, you think somebody has both gone to tell him everything about you, or he has seen the email you just sent.
[13:20] And sometimes you come to sit in church, and you, especially if you are not born again, and you come to church, let's say, for the first time, or this is the first time maybe you come to proper church.
[13:30] You know, there are different types of church. But come to proper church where Jesus Christ is preached, and the word of God is taught. So when the word is being taught, you begin to feel, wow, I'm so sinful. You see, sin, the problem of sin is a big problem.
[13:43] That's a good one. What did I say? The problem of sin is a big problem. If you put this anywhere on your Facebook, somewhere, people will read it, and funny for our guys will say, I agree.
[13:54] Others will read it and keep quiet. If you put it somewhere in your shop, people will tell you, don't try and remove this thing from the shop. Because do you know why? Do you know why? The problem of sin is a big problem.
[14:08] But guess what? When you come to Christ, he takes away the sin. He says, this is the, behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
[14:20] The sins of the world. So now the point here is that when you become born again, you are actually forgiving all your sins. Are you sure all? So why is it that still the police, the police is looking for me?
[14:32] Yeah, they don't know. They don't know you have been forgiving all your sins because God, but then justice will take its course. They may arrest you and put you in prison. That's fine. God, as for God, you may die in prison and go to heaven.
[14:46] Whether you go to prison or you don't go to prison, that is not, it has not got anything because you are being born again is by the word of God and it takes place in your spirit. It takes place in your spirit.
[14:58] If they don't even call you for parole, it doesn't matter. You are born again. God, the angels have celebrated, they have celebrated you, they have done their own parole and you are free. But, the key point is that when you are born again, you are forgiven.
[15:13] The question, Pastor, so what happens after I'm forgiven and I go and do something again? There's provision for that. You still can be forgiven.
[15:24] Did you hear what I said? You still can be forgiven. But the big thing is that when you are born again, the point here is we have been forgiven and we have been cleansed by the blood of Christ.
[15:37] You look very clean before God. The only thing I keep teaching is that the devil will keep telling your conscience that, you know, that abortion, no, I don't think God will forgive you. That baby you killed, he will come and forgive you, you know.
[15:49] He will come and forgive you. God will come and forgive you a lot of other things. But this one, he will judge you, you may even go to hell for it. When the devil reminds you of your past, remind him of his future.
[16:01] His future ain't good, your future is good. That's why we have been born again by the living word of God which cannot be corrupted. Amen. Tell somebody, I'm forgiven.
[16:12] I'm forgiven. Say it again, I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. There are times people get born again and the guilt of conscience, sorry, the conscience of sin lingers on for a long time and because of the things that they feel they have done, they feel like, even some people feel, I don't deserve forgiveness.
[16:32] Some people feel like, I need to be punished for this thing I've done. I need to punish myself. And so in the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church has something called penance. You have to punish yourself for the evil things you have done so that you, once you've punished, some people go, they have, you crawl on hard gravels for miles.
[16:53] You'll be crawling, you'll be crawling, walking on it, and you have bruises all over and you know, ah, I've been punished. I've punished myself. No, no, you don't need that. That's why Jesus, when you look at Jesus on the cross, you don't need another punishment because he took it all.
[17:09] He took it all. See, I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. And listen to what I'm saying, brothers and sisters. I'm talking about your identity in Christ. Somebody is listening to me who must know that you have actually been forgiven.
[17:20] Of the things in your past before you came to Christ, you are forgiven. Yes, I can't go back into the past to redo the things yet, let the past go because you have been forgiven. God is not dealing with you based on your past.
[17:32] He's dealing with you based on your future. From the now. Say, I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. A woman was caught in adultery red-handed. Caught. She was caught.
[17:43] She was caught. I don't know how they caught her. Maybe they trapped her. They caught her and they brought her before Jesus. They said, Jesus, in the law of Moses, it says anyone who commits adultery should be stoned to death.
[17:56] what do you say? Now, they already have told him what is supposed to be done. They knew what the law was saying. Now, they come and ask Jesus, what do you say?
[18:06] Grace doesn't condemn. So, the law has told you something. You are coming to ask grace, what do you say? Grace, you know what grace told them? Grace said that any of you who is without sin, let him throw the first, let him obey the law first.
[18:21] The law said, this woman has sinned, let's kill him. Stone her to death. Okay, Jesus said, you know what I can tell you? Any of you who is without sin, let him take the stone.
[18:31] He didn't say let him go ahead. He said, let him cast the first one. The first one. Just the first one. The rest of you can do the rest. But, I want someone who knows he's without sin to take the lead and cast the first one.
[18:43] Bible said they stood there for a while. And then they started going away from the chief, from the top. Please. Everyone, they were carrying their stone. They started dropping the stone and turning and they went.
[18:54] And Jesus says, when they came to Jesus, he was writing, he was just writing on the floor. And then when he, one day I will talk about that writing on the floor. Writing. The finger that roots the law. Writing.
[19:06] So when he lifted up his eyes, they had all left. Left, and the woman was standing there alone. And, he asked, Jesus asked the woman, where are your accusers?
[19:17] He said, they are all gone. That tells you they are also with sin. The Bible says this. One day I saw this about five years ago, I was studying my Bible.
[19:28] It hits my spirit. He says that, he says that, if God should deal with us according to our sins, who will stand? He said, it's in Psalm 10 verse 3, somewhere there, and then Psalm 130 verse 10, or Psalm 103 verse 10, somewhere there, two places.
[19:46] One place talks about, if God should, if you should regard iniquity, who will stand? And then he says that, you have not dealt with us according to our sins. Yeah.
[19:58] So he has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. And then Psalm 110, or Psalm 130 verse, three or so, talks about the other one.
[20:09] He says that, if you should deal with us according to our sins, who will stand? Do you see what he says? If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? None.
[20:20] So when Jesus said that, any of you who has known is without sin, they didn't. And so when Jesus said, where are they? The lady said, they are gone. You know what Jesus told her?
[20:30] I love that. Jesus said that, if no one could condemn you, neither do I condemn, condemn you. Nine. In Romans chapter eight, verse one, it said, there is now therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ.
[20:45] In Christ, you can't be condemned. You must appreciate the fact that you are forgiven. Amen. Shut up, forgiven. I am forgiven. Shut up, forgiven. I am forgiven. And so it says, if they couldn't condemn you, neither do I condemn you, but from this time, go and sin.
[20:59] No more. There is now therefore no condemnation. In first John chapter one, verse seven to nine, it talks about how, let's put it on the screen.
[21:10] Let's, let's get, let's get it. First John chapter, chapter one. Hallelujah. Shout, I'm forgiven. Unforgiven. Shout like you believe.
[21:21] Shout, I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. See, see, see, forgive, forgiveness of sin becomes a platform for healing. Jesus told, the certain man said, go and sin no more else, worse thing comes on you.
[21:37] There is a connection between sin and sickness. So, you, you should be bored enough. When I say shout, I'm blessed. You will shout it louder. If I say shout, I'm healed.
[21:47] You will shout it louder. But I'm telling you, all those things, they operate on the platform of forgiveness of sin. Shout, I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. Shout, I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us from how many?
[22:10] Cleanses us from all sin. In other words, there's no sin so deep and so dark and so heavy and so intense that the blood of Jesus can't take care of it. The blood does the job.
[22:23] Hallelujah. Amen. The blood does the job because the blood is potent enough. The blood is powerful enough. The blood is efficacious enough.
[22:35] The blood can do the job. The blood does the job. Amen. If the blood can heal you, then the blood forgives sins. The blood was actually shed mainly for forgiveness of sins.
[22:49] Did you see in Ephesians chapter 1 verse 7, we read, it says that in him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sin through his blood. We have forgiveness of sin too.
[22:59] And it says that the blood of Christ, of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us from all sins. Canses us from all sins.
[23:11] Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. 1 John chapter 1 verse 7. And the blood of, and the blood of his son cleanses us from all sins.
[23:22] Verse 8. Let's read it together. If we say, and that we have no sin. We deceive ourselves. We are so. And the truth is no sin. But I like the verse 9. One of the, see if you're a believer, you should know this one.
[23:35] Every believer must know this one. And so in the same way, some scriptures, you should know as a Christian, as a born again believer. He should know some scriptures. Other than that, the devil will take advantage of you. Jesus kept saying, it is written.
[23:46] It is written. You don't know, if you, I said this until I go. If you don't know what is written, you'll be written off. Yeah. You must know what is written. And I mean, as for me, contention don't stick into my head.
[23:58] The devil will write you off. What's sticking? That's something that's sticking in your head. And all kinds of, all kinds of styles. All right. So he said, if we confess our sins, this is the one I love most.
[24:11] Let's read it out loud. Let's go. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to repent us from all. I like that.
[24:23] He is faithful. Say faithful. Faithful. I've said it several times, so I don't want to repeat that. Faithful. And He's just. Say just. Just. To forgive us. So He's forgiving us is based on a judicial review.
[24:39] It's judicial. Forgiveness in Christ is not whimsical, like God's, okay, I feel it, or emotive. No. It's judicial. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?
[24:51] It has, it's based on legal requirements. So it's not just saying, no, He has to do it. He's faithful and just to forgive us our sins. Remember this, I said it in one of the TV broadcasts.
[25:04] I said, in Christ, there's nothing like forgiveness of sin. It is forgiveness of sins. Check the Bible. There's no way you see forgiveness, forgiveness, forgiveness of sin.
[25:16] He forgives sins because He knows you and I. Say, my sins are forgiven. My sins are forgiven. Now, the point here is that when you get born again, you have, you see, that's who you are.
[25:28] You have access to forgiveness of sin. Now, how about when you are born again and you sin? What happens? It says that when you sin, you confess your sin. The Christians confess sins.
[25:39] Unbelievers don't have to confess sins. They have to confess Christ. You have to confess Christ you are the Lord of my life. That is where it starts from. So, don't stop saying that I went to steal money from my job.
[25:51] I went to lie on somebody. I went to do this. I don't really, oh God, if you can forgive me, don't be confessing sins because you are a sinner. Okay.
[26:02] Sinners need Christ. And believers need forgiveness of sins. Okay. So, if you are a sinner, you need Christ.
[26:13] So, it's not even forgiveness of sin in it because Christ is a package of everything. But now, once you are in this package, blessing called Christ, and what if you sin again? That one, what you have to do is to confess the sin.
[26:25] Don't say, all the sins I've done, Lord, forgive me. Did you do all of them together? All the sins I've done, forgive me, all of them.
[26:36] All of them. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. It's like somebody is coming to eat. It's like, God, you know, you know it, you know it. I don't have time. God, you know what I'm going to say already.
[26:49] He started eating. So, forgiveness of, it says, so when you become a Christian and you fall into sin, you confess your sins. All right. And once you confess your sins, confession of, watch this, confession of sin also connotes forsaking of sins.
[27:06] Does that make sense? It doesn't mean that you are just saying that I've done it, but still you finish saying and then go back to it. No, you are saying that with the intention of never to go back to it again. And so it says that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[27:27] Now, look at the next verse. Just, just to make a point here. Move on, move on to chapter 2, verse 1. Chapter 2, verse 1. He says that, my little children, these things I write to you so that you may not sin.
[27:40] Okay? So you need the word of God. In Psalm 119, verse 11, it says that, your word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against you. In Psalm 119, verse 9, he said, how can a young man cleanse his ways?
[27:52] By taking it to your word. So the word of God has the power to help you not to sin. That's why I said, if you don't know what is written, you'll be written off. Now, and so, back, back to, 1 John chapter 2, verse 1.
[28:07] And so, 1 John chapter 2, verse 1, I've written these things to you so that you may not sin. So that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an advocate. You know who an advocate is?
[28:19] Who is an advocate? Speaks on your behalf. Speaks on your behalf. It's like your barrister is standing before the judge, is speaking on your behalf, defending your cause.
[28:29] All right? We have, we have, if anyone sins, you see, I'm writing this, if you are a Christian, you're not supposed to sin. But should it happen that you sin like some of us do? Should it happen that you sin because forgiveness of sin is your, is your right in God?
[28:48] It's part of your being born again. That's what you have. That's your identity. You are, you are a forgiving man. You are a forgiving woman. And so if, even though you have been forgiven, like, okay, you are free, you are no more a slave.
[29:01] You are free. And you, one day remember, you are hungry and you behave like a slave. You remember, remind yourself and just move away, do what free men do. Okay? So it says that if anyone sins, we have an authority with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.
[29:15] So if you sin, it says that there's someone who is actually there to speak for you. That's why you have to confess because we have an advocate. Bible talks about Jesus Christ is the mediator. Bible talks about how he's, he's the high priest, he's an intercessor.
[29:29] He's sitting on the right hand of God, interceding on our behalf. So that, that's why God can't say he will forgive you when you confess. Because he says there is himself. He's there himself because he paid for the sins.
[29:40] So now, daddy, you can't, you can't say, I paid for it already. He's an advocate. With the Father, say I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. Some of you can't say because you don't believe it. Say I'm forgiven.
[29:51] I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. Everything I did before Christ, I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. And anything I end up doing after Christ, once I confess, I'm forgiven.
[30:05] I can see from some faces that they, ah, Pastor, me, my own, you don't know what you are talking about. My own is very thick. Is this thicker than the blood of Jesus? You cannot, you cannot convince me to tell me that the blood of Jesus is nothing near to the baton or whatever you did, whatever.
[30:21] Whatever. Whatever. Say I'm forgiven. Tell somebody beside you, say, are you?
[30:35] Answer the person. Say, are you? Say I'm forgiven. I'm forgiven. Yeah. Yeah.
[30:46] Yeah. All right. Let's finish on this one. The last one I want to say. Ha. We, we have been reconciled and have peace with God.
[30:56] Right? We have been reconciled with God. What does it mean to reconcile? Bring back together to make peace, to make amends.
[31:08] Two friends, they fall out. Or daughter and mother, they fall out. Or, but, when people, friends, friends fall out and then, they make amends, they come back together.
[31:23] That's what we call, it's called, reconciliation. They, they, they manage to deal with whatever was between them and then they get back again. All right. Romans chapter 5, verse 10 talks about, we have, we have reconciliation with the Father.
[31:39] This is it follows on with the issue of, issue of sin. He said, let's all read it together. Are you ready? Yes. Let's read it from the screen. Let's go. For if we were, we were reconciled to God through the death of his son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
[31:58] Hallelujah. Amen. Say, I am reconciled with God. I am reconciled with God. I have been reconciled with God. I have been reconciled with God. That means that, the things that are, that make people run away from God and say, I don't believe there is God.
[32:14] Anyone who hears saying, I don't believe there is God, he's running away from something. He's running away because he knows that it is just, it's stupid to say there is no God. Everything shows there is God.
[32:26] So, it's like someone say, I don't believe I'm a man. I don't believe I'm a man. I don't believe I'm a man. I mean, just stop that. You know you are. But my feelings in my body, I don't believe I'm a man. I don't believe I'm a man.
[32:37] You have a breath. You shall stop that. You know you are. You see what I'm talking about? You can try and make a whole lot of noise, but you know you are. In the same way, when it was said, I don't believe there is God, it's just trying to block their sensibility.
[32:53] There's a way you can program your mind so much in the name of intellectualism and block sensibility and you know, twist. Human beings are so susceptible to change of mind.
[33:05] So, you can program your mind so much that you are so convinced that okay, it's like this, it's like that. So, what happens that if you are born again, you have peace with God and you have been reconciled with God.
[33:17] Let's read it together. Ready? Let's read it out loud. Let's go. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[33:31] One more time. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Say, I have peace with God. Say, I have peace with God.
[33:42] I have peace with God. Hallelujah. Amen. I have peace with God. Why? Because I have been justified by faith. You know what it means to be justified.
[33:54] I'm in. I'm in. You remember? I'm in. Just as if I've not done anything wrong. I'm in. I'm in. I've been justified. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[34:09] Have peace with God. I purposely combine the two. I'm reconciled with God and I have peace with God. Once I'm reconciled with Him, there's no problem again. Then what is it? We are friends now.
[34:19] That's why we are able to boldly sing this song with audacity. I am a friend of God. I am a friend of God. I am a friend of God.
[34:31] He calls me friend. How about you by me? I am a friend of God. Put on your Facebook. I am a friend of God.
[34:43] Hallelujah. Jesus said from henceforth, I call you no longer servants. I call you friends. John chapter 15, verse 16 and 17. He said, I call you friends.
[34:56] I call you friends. Verse 17, 16, go to 17, let's see. John chapter 15, verse 16, 15, check 15, let's see.
[35:07] Yeah, that's it. No longer do I call you servants. For a servant does not know what his master is doing. But I've called you what?
[35:18] Friends. I've called you what? Friends. For all things that I hear, I heard from my father, I have made known to you. See, I'm a friend of God. Amen. Most of the time when you come to church and we are singing that song, singing with all your interests.
[35:32] I am a friend of God because I have peace with God. I have been reconciled with God. I have been reconciled with God and I have peace.
[35:43] I don't have problem. You mentioned God, my heart rejoices. You mentioned God, I don't feel like going too high. No, no, no, no, please, please, please, please. Because the heart of a sinner, what the heart of a sinner can stand is the presence of God.
[35:58] So, holiness of God is so powerful that when there is sin in your life, you feel uncomfortable about God. How many of you know what I'm talking about? You go do something and you come to church, you feel, oh, you feel your whole body is itching.
[36:13] When we are worshiping, you can't worship apart from those who have mastered the game. Some people are experts. They will be singing louder than everybody. They will jump higher than everybody.
[36:25] They will clap louder than everybody. When, before you could say, here I am to worship, they are, they know you are coming to sin, they lie down already. They roll on the floor for Jesus. Hallelujah.
[36:40] But genuineness, people who are genuine, they are conscious and not see it. You come in God's presence, you sin and you feel like the earth you open for you to go in there.
[36:50] Because the presence of God, sin cannot survive, cannot stay. I'm a friend of God. That's who you are.
[37:04] That's who you are. That's who I am. Doesn't matter who doesn't like you. Why? I'm a friend of God. Doesn't matter who rejects you.
[37:15] I can't believe it. I'm a friend of God. Doesn't matter what you don't have. Why? I'm a friend of God. He chose me. We sing this song, Jesus lover of my soul.
[37:27] Most of the junk in our lives is in our soul. People love you for what you can do, for how you look, and what they can get from you. But Jesus loves you just the way you are.
[37:37] Amen. Amen. I am a friend of God. When people marginalize you, when they reject you, when they hate you, when they don't like you, don't be too worried.
[37:57] Because God just loves you. God just loves you. Bible said he made us accepted in the beloved. Those who he loves, you are part of them.
[38:08] God just loves you. Because you are his friend. Not just his child. You are his friend. Being born again by the incorruptible seed of God and forgiven.
[38:22] Man, you know what? No money can buy all these things we have in Christ. No money can buy. Because if money could buy it, it would be sold. The rich guys, Richard Braxton by now has built an empire around it.
[38:34] Oh yeah, you pay for it. And then he won't tell you like some of the mobile phone lines. Even when you finish paying off the contract and everything, they will still pay you for the line right now.
[38:45] That line. The line. You pay for the line. In the same way, if Jesus and God have left it in the hands of human beings, you and I, by now, there will be a meter on our head.
[38:58] Once you are born again, they send you your bill, monthly bill, of access to God, forgiveness of sin. And most people will sin. They will be very economical with their sin. Because if you are renting your space and you are being built based on their sins, you can't flabber your sins.
