Who You Are In Christ - 3

[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another word-filled message by David Entry. Preaching is the means by which God manifests His word and nourishes our spirits. May the life of God enter into you and you as you listen to this message. Be blessed.

[0:18] I have been talking about knowing your identity in Christ, who we are in Christ, because identity is crucial. Identity is cardinal.

[0:35] Who you know yourself to be has everything to do with how far you can go. Who you see yourself to be has everything to do with how people will address you.

[0:50] If you don't know who you are, people will tell you who you are. But they will be wrong. If you don't know who you are, you depend on what people think and what they say about you.

[1:10] If you don't know who you are, you would allow your circumstances and your condition to dictate where you are going. Where you are is not necessarily where you are going.

[1:25] Your location is not your destination. Today you may look like a struggler. But tomorrow is a different matter altogether.

[1:36] Sometimes if you do not go higher, if you don't go on a quest to seek who you are in God, may you be frustrated in life.

[1:51] Because life is just unfair. If you don't go on a quest to seek your identity, to look for who you are, going to God, God, tell me who I am.

[2:06] Let me find myself in you. If you don't find yourself in God, you'll be misplaced in life. Life will put you in a corner. And you see, people, people don't address you.

[2:21] Watch this. People don't address you based on who they think you are. They address you based on who they think they are. People treat you based on who they think of themselves.

[2:36] And so, if you are not careful and you are not resolute and certain in yourself, you forepray to what people, how people treat you. And you may go around thinking, is that who I am?

[2:48] That's what they are saying. No, you must know who you are. Now, once you become born again, your entire identity has changed. Last week I spoke about how we are the sons of God.

[3:02] Can you imagine? A son of God. You say, I'm a son of God. I'm a son of God. It's a simple thing. You don't, yeah. That word son is generic.

[3:16] That kingdom is generic. Right? The same way when you see the, when you read the Bible, you come across, as the Bible says in John chapter 1 verse 12, as many as believed in him, he gave them the power to become the sons of God.

[3:30] The sons of God. He gave them the power. What King James says, the sons of God. You are a son. And the Bible talks about how in Galatians chapter, I think, 6 verse 5.

[3:43] 6 verse 5. Yes, Galatians 6 verse 4. I think it should be rather 4 verse 5 and 6 somewhere there. It talks about if you are sons. 4 verse 6. If you are sons, because we are sons.

[3:55] Yeah. Yeah. That's it. Verse 6. Because we are sons. Did you see that? Because, no, we are sons and daughters. There are these people who have misplaced.

[4:07] See, when you have a misplaced identity of yourself, you always make an issue about anything. Anything. You see, because the things you keep hearing, you eventually believe.

[4:20] Yeah. So, most of the time, people who have problems with their identity make a lot of issues about anything. Say identity. Identity. I spoke about we are sons of God.

[4:32] We are redeemed. Galatians chapter 3 says that we are redeemed from the curse of the law. Somebody say, I'm redeemed. I'm redeemed. When they tell you you're under a curse, tell them I'm redeemed.

[4:43] Amen. It's the documentation that shows your origin. In the same way, if we say you are redeemed and somebody say you are cursed, let them produce the documentation and you can also produce the documentation.

[4:59] Yes. The documentation that shows that you are blessed. Did you see that? It's here. There is everything. Watch this. Everything is, I, it's documented about you.

[5:10] I am, I have been assigned by God, mandated by God to deliver in your hands, your identity in Christ. Amen. Your birth certificate. Spiritual birth certificate.

[5:22] And it's here. The documents are here. Say, I've got the documents. Bible says that Christ, I feel the Holy Spirit here.

[5:33] Christ has redeemed us. Galatians chapter 3 verse 13. For Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Did you see that?

[5:44] We have been redeemed. He said, he didn't say Christ will redeem. Just keep me on the new King James. That's fine. He didn't say Christ will redeem. He has. Say he has. Say he has.

[5:56] It's already been done. No, he said Christ has redeemed. That's your identity. I'm not cursed. Say I'm not cursed. Say I'm not cursed. I'm not cursed. I've been redeemed from every curse.

[6:08] I've been redeemed from every curse. Don't go around thinking, there's a curse operating in our family. Mine was you. Yes, it's true. It may be true that everything is showing that a curse, there is a prevailing curse.

[6:19] You can tell the way it's jumping on people in your family. Produce the documents of your birth and you can go through. It settles the matter. It settles the matter.

[6:31] And so, when you are born again, you are, listen, you are not part of that tree. That family tree, curse tree, that has been running through the family. You are not part of it.

[6:41] And you, Jesus, nothing stops with you. And it's not, it's not transferring to your children. It stops with you. Say, it stops with me.

[6:52] It stops with me. And it begins to go, you reverse it from you. Once you, once you get born again, things begin to reverse, begin to reverse, things begin to reverse. Should I believe?

[7:04] I believe. When you are born again, it's a big thing. It's not church, just coming to stand in church and be jumped. No, it's a big thing. It's a big thing. But it's rather sad. Many believers, don't you know?

[7:17] They don't know who they are. So, devil has been whispering to them, don't worry. You understand? Same like your father. The same, your father's marriage never worked, your husband never worked. Your mother's marriage didn't work, your husband never worked.

[7:28] Have you seen any marriage work in your family? No, it doesn't work. No, your husband never worked. And the devil, he whisperses it. And then he begins to have a conviction. And when you enter into a relationship for some reason, you are expecting that it to work.

[7:40] you are expecting because you have been programmed. Praise God. Hallelujah.

[7:53] So, I spoke about how we have been redeemed from the curse of the law. And I also want to talk about how we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit.

[8:06] Say sealed. Sealed. We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit. We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit. And I explained how when you are sealed, you have the seal of God.

[8:20] That means the approval of God. Approval. The endorsement of heaven is upon you. Amen. And not just that, when you are sealed with the Holy Spirit, it also means that, it seals you.

[8:32] So, the blessings that has been attained for us on the cross, your portion has been sealed. You have been sealed in it and it's just a matter of time. So, you may not look like it, but it's just a matter of time.

[8:45] Amen. It's going to happen. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I want to rush you through a few points as well that some of the things that has, who we are in Christ.

[8:56] These are some of, these are just basic, but you see, I discovered in the scriptures or in my work with God that the basic things, having strong grips on the basics is what gives you speed.

[9:07] That's right. Yes. When you have strong, many people, many people don't have strong grips on the basics because they are looking for revelations. You are insulting your husband because you don't have strong grips on the basics.

[9:21] Basics. The basics. The basics. People who don't have strong grips on the basics remain babes. Yeah. Babes easily throw tantrums. You can have a title and yet you are a babe.

[9:33] Yes. So it's very important to understand that the more you discover who you are in Christ, the stronger you become in the things of God.

[9:44] The stronger you are in the things of God, the easier it is to ignore petty things and move on. Yes. Then the results begins to, the godly results begin to show in your life.

[9:57] Now, I said that, so once you become born again, it's very interesting to understand that we have received the testimony of the spirit. You become born again, listen, master, I don't know whether I'm born again, then you are not.

[10:15] That's true. I said that, if you say, when you die, will you go to heaven or not? I don't know because no one can know. Those who are going, they will know. If you don't know, then you are going to hell.

[10:27] You are not going to heaven. Because if you are not sure whether you are born again or not, that means you are not. Did you hear what I said?

[10:37] If you are not sure whether you are born again or not, it means that you are simply not. And girl, oh boy, you got to get born again.

[10:50] Because why? In Romans chapter 8 verse 16, Romans 8 verse 16, let's all read it. Let's open to your Bibles. Romans 8 verse 16.

[11:02] The spirit himself bears witness with our spirits that we are the children of God. Did you see that? Let's all read it together. Let's all read it together. The spirit himself bears witness with our spirits.

[11:13] Let's all read it together. Let's all read it together. Let's all read it together. Let's all read it together. Who bears witness? Who bears witness? I can't hear you. The spirit himself. So God's spirit himself is the one who attests.

[11:26] Who does he attest with? Our spirits. You know it. See, no one can take it from you. You know it internally because it's so spiritual.

[11:37] It's so deep. The spirit himself bears witness with our spirits that we are sons of God. We are children of God. Hallelujah. So you're going around and somebody's telling you who do you think you are?

[11:50] I'm a child of God. Someone came to another guy and told him that I don't believe in God. God is dead. He's not alive. He said, no, I'm sorry. I spoke to him this morning.

[12:03] Praise God. So remember that we are the spirit of God. So these are some of the things that help us to discover identity, who we are, what we have received. We have received the testimony of the spirit and then we also have been given the mind of Christ.

[12:19] That's what you have when you are in Christ. Don't go around and say, ask for me, I don't know, my mind doesn't work. She don't say those things. You can say, my mind used not to work.

[12:32] You can say, I am not good with, I don't have, I used not to have good memory. But you have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians chapter 2.

[12:43] Let's look at it. 1 Corinthians chapter 2, verse 16. Shall we all read it together? Are you ready? Let's read it out loud. Let's go.

[12:54] For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. We have what? The mind of Christ. We have what? The mind of Christ.

[13:05] You have the mind of Christ. So when you become born again, your thinking begins to change. Ephesians chapter 4, verse 28, talks about, let him who stole still no more.

[13:18] Okay? Give me the King James. Let him who stole still no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands, the things which is good.

[13:29] The thing which is good. Why? That he may ask the king. That one? You may, so you can be in a position to give others. Instead of stealing from them, it's honorable to be giving to others.

[13:42] So find a job and do. Not so you can buy shoes. So you can give to others. Did you see how Christianity is like?

[13:53] This is spiritual maturity. This is, I'm entering into bones now. Mill people can't take this one. So it's very important to appreciate the fact that once you know who you are, once you understand that you have the mind of Christ, you think like Christ.

[14:09] You approach things like Christ. Christ sees the storm and then Christ says that this is no problem. What's the disciples say? We are perishing. They said Lazarus was dead.

[14:22] Christ says he's sleeping. Because he thinks about things differently. Hallelujah. Say I've got a mind of Christ. a mind of Christ. The next point is when you become born again, your body has become the temple of the Holy Spirit.

[14:41] Say my body. My body. Now if your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, then you can also cash in on that to say the Holy Spirit lives here. Sickness, you can't live here. This Holy Ghost address.

[14:53] Sickness, go to the next door. You can't live here. Because I said your body has become 1 Corinthians 6, verse 19. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?

[15:07] Who is in you? Who you have from God? And you are not your own. Say, I am not my own. Say, I am not my own.

[15:18] I am not my own. Yesterday, I saw a scripture which was very interesting which says that, it says that, present your body, do not present your bodies as your members, sorry, your members as instruments of unrighteousness.

[15:33] what is that scripture? Do not present your Romans, yeah, Romans, I think 1221 or something like that or something like that.

[15:48] Do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness. And God opened my eye to understand it better. He said, your members, he didn't say, that member, that word members is not church members.

[16:03] It's members of your body, your finger, everything, your body parts. Do not present them as instruments of unrighteousness. Don't offer your body for anything that will not glorify God.

[16:19] But the next point is that, so remember, we have received the testimony of the Spirit. We have been given the mind of Christ. Our bodies have become temples of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in the Holy Spirit.

[16:30] Don't be deceived by the way, by the way, how good people look outside. And don't be deceived by what job they do, what their position at their workplace. Don't be deceived by that.

[16:42] Some cannot sleep. Some look so flamboyant, cool outside, but internally it's worse than Syria and the other one, Egypt.

[16:56] Internally, it's like, boom, boom. they don't have internal peace. See, but when you get born again, this is the difference. When you are born again, now, in case, if you are born again and you are not enjoying the peace, that you have to just realize what you are missing out and connect yourself.

[17:12] Because Jesus said, my peace I give unto you, not as the world gives. So Jesus gives us peace. He said, peace I give unto you, my peace I give unto you. John chapter 14, I think from somewhere, 26, 27, 28, somewhere there.

[17:25] He said, not as the world gives. So I give you, he says, come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavily laden and I will give you rest.

[17:37] Say, take upon yourself my yoke, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. That's what it means is that, you see, the trouble of going to church is easier than the trouble of being affected by demons.

[17:52] it's easier and relax. So Jesus said, it's a yoke, it's a burden, it's kind of a bit of work to get up.

[18:03] When others are sleeping, you just get up, going to church to serve God, to seek God. He said, my yoke is easy and my burden is light. It's a lighter burden as compared to what is coming.

[18:15] Hey, hello. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi.

[18:40] Hi. Hi. Hi.

[18:52] to severally unto all. So the gift of the Holy Spirit is available to all those who are Christians, who are born again. Why do I need the gift of the Holy Spirit?

[19:03] You need the gift of the Holy Spirit to make you usable and make you effective in your work with God. You can make impact for Jesus. The Holy Spirit can help you.

[19:14] And you have all these gifts available to you when you are born again. It's not only for pastors. It's not only for church leaders. Say it's for me. It's for me. Because I'm born again.

[19:25] Because I'm a son of God. Because I'm a child of God. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Also, I want us to appreciate the fact that when you become born again, you are made alive in Christ Jesus.

[19:45] You are made alive. Say I'm alive. Say I'm alive. When you become born again, you are made alive in Christ Jesus. Because in the book of Ephesians chapter 2 verse 1, he said, I like that so much.

[19:59] Ephesians chapter 2 verse 1. I think I would love for us all to read it. Ephesians chapter 2 verse 1. Is that okay? We all read it from the screen? All right. Let's all read it out loud. Let's go. And you, you made alive.

[20:09] You were dead in trespasses and sins. And you, he made what? A life. And what was, how did you used to be? You were dead. Dead in trespasses and sins.

[20:20] In trespasses and sins. You see, I've said it over and over and I'm going to say it again. Sometimes people say that salvation is like you are swimming or you are in a boat and the boat is beginning to sink and all of a sudden Jesus stretches his hands and he said, bring, let me save you and all you have to do is just stretch your hands so that you'll be saved from the sinking boats.

[20:45] Right. So that's the analogy people give. It's not bad. It's, at least it's, it depicts something that makes a bit of sense about you have to make an effort to embrace the salvation that is coming.

[20:56] But the truth is that it's not that you are now sinking. You have sunk and dead under the sea. No, you sank.

[21:06] You have gone. Because your shoes were so heavy you couldn't float. The point is that you were, he said, and you, who were dead?

[21:18] Dead in your trespasses and sins. So you were dead hopelessly. No hope. You're gone. And watch this. He made alive.

[21:30] Say I'm alive. Say I'm alive. I'm alive. Say I'm alive. I'm alive. When you see people in, when you see people in town, dead man walking.

[21:43] Why are you saying dead man? Because he's dead in transgressions. He's not alive in God. Yes. In the realm of the spirit, it's like chaff. Demons, and then it's going away.

[21:56] So that's why you don't have to compare yourself to somebody who does not have Christ. Because he's a dead man walking. Dead man walking. I am blessed.

[22:09] I am blessed. You see, the problem is that most of us look at, oh, yes, you look at our physical condition to define who you are.

[22:22] So, you look at them and nothing tells you that this is a good husband or this is a good employer or employee. This one has his own business. Nothing tells you.

[22:32] Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. So, on the outside, we all look the same. We all look the same. That's why it's said that you can't judge a book. It's covered.

[22:43] You can't tell how far a frog can jump just by looking at it. You can't. But, the reality is that inside of them is a package of what has been going on in their lives and their destiny.

[22:58] So, you are alive in Christ. The point I'm making is that please don't be deceived by what physically you don't have. Because that's not what matters.

[23:08] What matters is who you are in the spirit. Who you are in the spirit. Who you are. So, if I were you, I'll get my time making sure that I get more of spirit and soul food.

[23:22] Feed my spirit. Feed my spirit. Feed my, because I, if my spirit is in charge, everything comes under command. That's right. I'm telling you. Bible says that God said, let it be and there was.

[23:36] And Bible says, God is a spirit and spirit commanded and everything we see came into existence. So, then if you build your spirit, life will be under your command. You won't be a victim of life.

[23:48] Do you know why? Because I'm alive. Say, I'm alive in Christ. Say, I'm alive in Christ. Say, I'm alive in Christ. He is the only one who says that I am the way, the truth, and the life.

[24:01] He's the only one who could say that. He said, I am the life. He's the only one who said in John chapter 10, verse 10, he said that the thief comes not back to steal, kill, and destroy. But I have come. But I have come.

[24:13] But I have come. But I have come. Man, some guys mess you up. Some guys betrayed you. Some people came into your life and turned things upside down.

[24:26] Jesus said, but I have come. I have come. I have come. That you have life. Amen. Amen. And have it more abundantly.

[24:38] You are not born again to suffer again. Say, I'm alive. Say, I'm alive in Christ. I'm alive in Christ.

[24:49] Any aspect of your life, your health, your career, your marriage, your relationship, your family life, anything that is dying, I command it to receive life now.

[25:04] Life now. Life now. Life now. In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name. Hallelujah. Shout out my life.
