[0:01] Welcome. Thank you for choosing to listen to another word-filled message by David Entry. Preaching is the means by which God manifests His word and nourishes our spirits. May the life of God enter into you and you as you listen to this message. Be blessed.
[0:20] I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under pointeous pilates, was crucified, died, and was buried.
[0:33] He descended into heaven. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and He sat at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the living and the earth.
[0:44] I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Universal Church, the forgiveness of sins, the communion of sins, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
[0:59] The purpose for the Apostles' Creed is, for God so loved the world, John 3, 16. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.
[1:09] For what? To believe. That whosoever... That whosoever... That whosoever... So in the early days, the Christians up to now in Bible, the Christians are more referred as believers than Christians.
[1:27] Christian, the word was used, I think, three times in the Acts, the book of Acts, or twice. As Christians, but believers all over. Believers were constantly added to the church. Believers, in fact, it says that he who believes baptizes them.
[1:40] So Christianity is about belief. For God so loved the world that whosoever believes. But believes. Jesus said that I am the bread that came from heaven. If you don't eat me, you don't have life. Say, if you eat me, you have life.
[1:50] And how do you eat Christ? As the bread from heaven. John chapter 6, 35. He was talking about he who believes in Him. How do you eat Christ? You eat Him by believing in Him. Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life.
[2:02] He that cometh to me shall never hunger. He that believeth on Him shall never thirst. He's talking about believing in Him. In John chapter 7, verse 37. On the last day of the great day of the feast, Jesus stood up with a loud voice and shouted, If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink.
[2:19] For as the scriptures are said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters. The verse 39 tells us a lot. That this is speaking concerning the Holy Spirit.
[2:30] Which I will be giving after his glorification. But when you look at verse 38, he said, come and drink. And he said, he who believes. See, he that believes on me.
[2:42] So how do you come and drink? Believing. You eat by believing. You drink by believing. You are saved by believing. So Christianity is actually, is about believing.
[2:53] So that is why you are a believer. Believer. If you are a Christian, that means you are a believer. That means we have to find out what the belief is.
[3:04] Because there are different beliefs. People believe all kinds of things. There are people who believe that they are in church. They are members of the body of Christ. And they believe rubbish. So you can see there are people who think they are part of the church.
[3:16] But according to God's own programming, they are not. Because the only thing that adds you to the church is your belief. That's very important. That's very important. Now, I said in one of the teachings that justification and sanctification always go together.
[3:32] You can't find one and leave the other. They go, justification, sanctification. Say justification. Sanctification. Justification and sanctification go together. Justification is when God has accepted you.
[3:45] Sanctification is when you begin to live for God. Okay. Now, every religion in the world puts sanctification before justification. Justification. So you have to start living for God before God will accept you.
[3:58] Whilst in Christianity, you have God who accepts you. And then he will live through you. Galatians chapter 2 verse 20.
[4:11] I am crucified with Christ. I am crucified. I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. Yet not I. But, uh-oh. I like that bit. Yet not I, but.
[4:22] Yet not I, but. Tell your ex. Yet not I. You see me. Yet not I. He sees your post. Tell them, no. Yet not I, but Christ.
[4:33] They are trying to make further advances. Tell them, hey, stop it. And Luke just says, yet not I, but. Your old friends are inviting you to all kinds of places. Oh, come on, let's go. But he says, sorry, sorry, man.
[4:45] I just can't. But what's wrong? What's wrong? He says, nothing wrong. And I know, when you, when you say I'm a Christian, sometimes it will give you a problem. Because they will tell you a lot of Christians are even there.
[4:59] They will tell you, in fact, pastors, they are pastors. So, believe. What you believe defines you in the spirit. What you believe is what defines you in the spirit.
[5:10] It's not what you need. Excuse me. It's not your need that defines who you are. It's your belief. It's your belief. It's your belief that defines who you are in the spirit.
[5:23] So, then, if belief is important, we have to establish what cannot believe. Because there are so many kinds of belief. For instance, Jehovah's Witnesses have belief.
[5:33] Mormons have a belief system. All religions have a belief system. Some people, too, have a belief system that makes them say there's no God. It's still a belief system. Come on, it's a belief system.
[5:44] So, then, if whoever believes, for God so loved the world that he gave his only because he's not that whosoever believes. If it's just the belief, she'll have a belief.
[5:54] But then everybody believes. Believes in him. What does it mean to believe in him? The actual Greek word is to believe into him. What is the belief? Now, when we say you believe in Christ, that's why the Apostles' Creed is there.
[6:09] To guide the things we believe. That's what the mainstream biblical author does. Christian belief. I believe in God, the Father Almighty.
[6:21] That's where it starts. You cannot be saved if you don't believe in God. The Father. Not just the Creator. All other religions see him as Creator. We see him as a Father.
[6:32] It's a different story. I believe in God, the Father Almighty. And he's the Almighty. God Almighty. Some people also say God is Almighty. But they don't believe he's the Father.
[6:42] I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of the heavens and in Jesus Christ. Ah, he's only Son, our Lord. He's the Son of God.
[6:52] If you don't believe that, you can't. Excuse me. That's where Christianity actually starts from. Believing that Jesus is the Son of God. If you don't believe that, you are going to hell. How can he say that?
[7:04] I didn't say that, please. I didn't say that. I didn't say that. The Bible said that. Am I not a preacher of the Bible? Yes. Why do you want me to misrepresent what I've been sent to talk about? Why is it that you don't want the preachers to say what they've been sent to say?
[7:19] Don't attack the preacher. Attack the sender. How can they call on him on whom they have not heard? On whom they have not believed? How can they believe in him?
[7:30] You see, they believe in himself. Romans chapter 10 verse 13 and 14. They believe in, he said, how? For whose word I shall call and the name of the Lord shall be sent. And he said that, how shall they call on him of whom they have not believed?
[7:41] And how shall they believe of whom they have not heard? How shall they hear without a preacher? And they say, how shall they preach if they have not been sent? So you are sent to preach, not your message.
[7:53] And the message you have been sent to preach is, Jesus is the only way. Any other thing that promises you access to God is a devil. It's another name for a devil, but you don't know.
[8:11] But the Bible says that if you don't believe in Christ, you are, not that you will be condemned. You are already condemned. So now let's talk about this believing. So Jesus Christ, only son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary.
[8:27] These are all facts. Virgin gave birth. Holy Spirit was the one behind it, not Joseph. If you don't believe any of these things, I think you have not started Christianity. Was crucified, dead, and was buried.
[8:40] He actually died. Some religions said the account of Jesus that they also said they have. He didn't die. He was taken to go and hide, and Judas died in his face.
[8:53] Load of rubbish. So, crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. I have thought on all this extensively.
[9:05] The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended. I like the session. If you have not listened to that message, the session of Christ. He ascended into hell. Christ is in session. All right. And seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.
[9:18] That's not the end of the story. The way you treat Christians, the way you are behaving, he's not gone. No, no. He's seated. But from thence, he shall, that's what I want to talk about today, but I don't know if the time.
[9:31] From thence, he shall come to judge. He's coming to judge two groups of people. Those who are alive and those who are dead.
[9:42] So, many people believe that death is the end. If I die, you can't do anything to me again. If God doesn't punish, what kind of judge is this God? He calls himself the righteous judge.
[9:54] According to 2 Timothy chapter 4 verse 8, the righteous judge. How can there be a righteous judge and let so many wicked people go away? It's God free.
[10:05] In Genesis chapter 19, I think verse 25 or chapter 18, 23, 25 somewhere, Abraham said, shall the judge of all flesh not do good, not do right?
[10:18] God, who is the judge? That far be it from slay the righteous and the righteous, that be far. Shall not the judge of all the earth do right?
[10:31] That's Abraham's question to God. You are a God of justice. You can't just, you have to do right. So, that means that he has to punish wrongdoing and reward rightdoing.
[10:43] So, now, but what is interesting about our text is, he even didn't say God is judging the apostle's scripture. He said, Jesus Christ, he will come to judge.
[10:56] Jesus Christ is the judge. In John chapter 2, verse 22. John chapter 2, verse 27. Acts chapter 10, verse 42.
[11:08] In Acts chapter 17, verse 31. In Romans chapter 2, verse 16. But let's start from John. John 5, 22.
[11:20] John 5, 22. Don't mind those who put it wrong. I said, John 5, 22. I said, for the father, let's already, let's go. For the father, judge the man, I have to be taken over the earth to the sun.
[11:33] What? Let's read it out again. Let's go. For the father, judge the man, I have to be taken over the earth to the sun. Read me. How about verse 27?
[11:47] Let's read it out. Let's go. Let's read it out. Let's read it out. Let's read it out. God gave, you see, he's coming to judge the living as man. Human being. He's the son of man. Man, Jesus.
[11:59] Man, Jesus. He's coming back. In Acts chapter 17, verse 31. It talks about how God has committed, appointed a day wherein judgment. He says that because he has appointed a day.
[12:11] Kabashadahaya. Hey! He has appointed a day in the which he will judge the wealth of righteousness by that man. Did you see that? The man who he has ordained.
[12:25] Whereof we, whereof he has given assurance unto all men in that he has raised this man from the dead. He raised his resurrection on the dead is the statement that God will judge the wealth of him.
[12:39] Yeah. I like the verse that he talks about. In the days of ignorance, God winked. When you are not born again, we're messing up. God, God, okay, you are. He kept winking. Yeah.
[12:49] Some of us, God is watching you. God is watching you. You're also collecting miracles. He's just watching you. He's just watching you. One day, I'm sure he will carry you by your hair. God has a way of giving us more time.
[13:08] Because his Bible says that he is not slack. As men count slackness. 2 Peter chapter 3 verse 9. God, God is not slack.
[13:20] He just wants us to repent. So he will delay. People will think the Lord is not slack concerning his promise. As some men count slackness. But it's long suffering towards us.
[13:31] When it comes to us, he will delay. He will delay. So you think you've got a new job. You've got a new house. You've got a new. You are still singing in the choir. Things are moving.
[13:42] You are still ushering. And actually, three men are thinking of marrying you. Meanwhile, there are things in your life. You are still gossiping and still getting a testimony. It's not because gossip doesn't matter.
[13:53] It's because God is long suffering. It's long suffering. Long suffering. I don't know who I'm preaching to. It looks like the place is getting extra quiet. God is not wishing that any should perish.
[14:11] But that should come to repentance. That's why it's delaying. So that someone can get a chance to repent. Help me. That's why. He's trying to help you to repent. But you think that is an endorsement.
[14:24] God. God. God. God. God. God. God. God. God. God really knows what you go through. God. He knows. God really knows. Yeah. He really knows.
[14:35] You know. God knows that my mother. My father was not there. So I just. I just. I just. I just. God knows that I was very hurt. So God. I can. Yeah. God. So. He will judge.
[14:47] Yeah. He will judge. Psalm 9 verse 8. And then Psalm 98 verse 9. And Psalm 96 verse 13. And Isaiah chapter 11 verse 4. Romans 2 16.
[14:57] Then we will go to. First. Second Corinthians. Second Timothy chapter 4 verse 1. And then I'll come to Revelation chapter 20 verse 11.
[15:08] And then Revelation chapter 19 verse 11. I feel like preaching. Let the Bible speak. So where do you have. Okay. Let's go to Psalm. 9 verse 8. Let's read it.
[15:19] Let's go. And he shall judge the world in righteousness. He shall minister the world unto the people in our righteousness. Yeah. He will minister judgment. Actually let me add this before.
[15:29] I was supposed to have added this. Because of the Hitler I spoke about. It's appointed unto man. Once to God. Yeah. After death. There's judgment. Yeah. Hebrews chapter 9 verse 27.
[15:42] Yes. He's appointed unto man. Once to die. Hey. When you die. The judgment is coming. So. The living and the dead. He shall come back to judge. He shall come back to judge.
[15:54] So whether you die or you leave. You still be judged. You still be judged. No escape route. Are you getting me? Yeah. He shall come back to judge. The living and the dead. Whatever you do.
[16:05] You'll be judged. But guess what? He shall come back to judge. The living and the dead. Leave judgment for God. Leave judgment for God. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He said he shall judge all in righteousness.
[16:16] Yeah. In Psalm 98 verse 9. Before the Lord. For he cometh to judge the earth.
[16:29] Hey. So politicians should look at this text. They should look at this. Journalists. Please. Letters.
[16:40] Letters. The reason why many people say. I don't believe in God. Is because if they believe in God. They have to believe this one. And this one really throws. A. Problem. It throws them into a problem.
[16:52] He shall come to judge the earth. With righteousness. Shall he judge the world. And the people with equity. Psalm. 96 verse 13. Wow. God is a judge.
[17:03] And judgment has been committed to Christ Jesus. That's right. Before the Lord. For he cometh. For he. See that he cometh. He's talking about Jesus. Psalms was talking about Jesus. For he.
[17:15] He cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world. With righteousness. With righteousness. And the people with his truth. His truth. It's a very interesting text. In.
[17:26] In. Isaiah chapter 11. Verse. 4. Isaiah chapter 11. Verse 4. I'm just showing you a few scriptures. It's better we let the Bible do this speaking.
[17:38] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He can judge better. Hallelujah. Pastor this man is dead and gone free.
[17:50] No. When we all. Meet Jesus. That's when we know that. he's actually a judge and his judgment is right and severe when god wants to punish he really punish oh god but god is merciful that's when he wants to save you so you are either on the side of mercy or on the side of merit yeah and those who are in christ are those who will be on the side of mercy so when you come into christ then all you have done can be forgiven so the things i did before i came to christ god would do anything about sorry he can't do anything about it god there's no record because he's dealing with you as he's dealing with christ but but but so does that mean when i get born again every other thing i do no no after you become born again then it's going to be matters of reward so the second corinthians chapter 5 verse 10 talks about we that that we is talking about believers yeah believers so believers so take your time as you are watching for four four hey let's already let's let's let's read that let's go just to make it very clear this is not talking about the we must is not talking about all humanity this is believers that we is talking about believers because scriptures before texts before talks about if i'm absent in the body i'm present with christ to be absent in the body is going to be present with christ he's talking about the believers condition and he said for we for we must all appear appear before the just man let's already allah let's go i thought you become born now you will receive what you have done in your body it's not a punishment of hell but some of us you miss entering the joy of the law that's a whole different ballgame you are a believer but i said cast him into outer darkness that outer darkness is not necessarily hell outer darkness where there will be nothing matthew chapter uh uh uh uh 25 verse 29 somewhere there where there will be weeping and nation of teeth connotes anger we know weeping connotes anger nation of teeth connotes regret the two usually is either doing one but you're crying and you'll be angry with yourself for not listening to the pastor but it's quite scary look at what paul says paul puts it this way i fought a good fight oh my so i fought a good fight i've kept the faith and i've finished my course second corinthians chapter four verse seven i fought a good fight said i fought a good fight i finished my course and i've kept the faith that's the pastor talking because first timothy chapter three verse one said if you desire to be a bishop it's a good desire but it said anyone who desires the office of a bishop desires what a good thing nothing some of you only see the thing it's work it's work it's work but that's a good one yes so the pastors who don't work hard it shows in their work so he will come and judge the living have you read isaiah chapter 11 verse 4 ah with righteousness shall he judge the poor so he's coming to judge okay romans chapter 2 verse 16 i don't want to come back to judgment
[21:54] romans chapter 2 verse 16 and i'll show you um there are quite a few scriptures you know but because of my time romans 2 16 that's already our last goal it's a serious one yeah according to my gospel god will judge the secret of men i know you have secrets one day it will no more be a secret if you say i'm a believer that's that means these are the things you believe ah so you're a believer he shall come to judge i believe that you just will come and judge come to judge death the living in second corinthia second timothy i quoted earlier on chapter 4 verse 1 he says that let's look at it then i can run up i charge thee before god and the lord jesus who shall what judge what give us new king james please who will judge what the living when when he's showing up he'll judge the living what time is he going to judge the living what time is he going to judge the dead when he's showing up those who are alive is judgment time so in marty chapter 27 from verse 31 all the way to 42 is a long one but let's start from a few verses earlier on and after that marty 25 31 when the son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him he shall then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory wow he will sit upon the throne of his glory what will happen before him shall be gathered all nations what and he shall separate them from one from another as a shepherd devised his sheep let's do the next verse it's getting interesting isn't it what and he shall set the sheep on his right hand but the goat on his left hand there are goats in church yeah and church is supposed to be full of sheep yeah but goats are in church and out of church the next verse then shall the king say unto them on his right hand come ye blessed of my father inherit ah we shall inherit kingdom inherit inherit inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world and then the next verse for I was hungry and you gave me to eat
[24:33] I was thirsty then he then he said that then he will say to those on his left so this is talking about the living so when he shows up he will judge the living but then this doesn't include those who are dead because those who are dead will not be in this he says shall gather all nations not including those who are dead so when is the dead going to be judged revelations chapter 24 verse 11 that's quite a scary one he said and I saw a great white throne and him that sat on it from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away and there was and there was found no place for them we are running by there's nowhere to go hey the next verse and I saw the dead what did I see stand before God oh no and the books oh books what books is that ah and another book was open so that means books and a book this is getting interesting which is the book of life oh okay and then there were judged out of those out of those things which were written in the books according to their works hey so there are things you are doing which are recorded baruch abba basher aduk yeah shall we finish this and then we can end
[25:52] I like the way the place is quiet how come you are a Christian and yet you don't think judgment what kind of God do you think we are serving he said he's the the righteous judge all right um so according to okay verse 12 the next verse verse 13 and the sea gave up the dead which were in it oh and the death eh and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them hey people who have been drowned and they were judged every man according to the works yeah every man according to their works look at the next verse and the death eh and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire this is the second death so if you don't get the second birth you suffer the second death yeah it's death this is the second death look at the next verse verse 15 and I'm done and who oh no let's already together let's go simple anyone who is not born again if your name is not written in the book of life the lamb's book of life they won't ask you anything just throw you away gone you are going to hell that's why I said if you don't have Jesus you are going to hell
[27:26] I mean it's not my idea it's not my opinion it's God's fact he was crucified died and was buried he descended into hell the third day he rose again from the dead he ascended into heaven and seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty from there he shall come to judge the living this is what we believe as believers thank you for listening to this message by David Entry to hear more from David Entry follow him on Facebook Instagram Twitter and LinkedIn you can also subscribe to Carous Church on YouTube don't forget to share and subscribe to our podcast so you are always up to date be blessed
