[0:00] Welcome. Thank you for listening to this wholesome word by David Entry. The words you catch will change your world. May your story change from this message.

[0:10] Be blessed. Bible says that sing praises, right? It's very important. It said in the book of Psalm, sing praises to our God.

[0:23] In fact, it actually says as well in Psalm 92 or so, it says that it is a good thing to sing praises. Psalm 92, it said it is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to your name, O Messiah.

[0:44] That's why this is not a music concert. It's a praise service. We have come here to just dedicate the entire time to sing praises to the Lord.

[1:01] It is coming together to sing praises. Now, the difference between music ministration and singing praises is music ministration, you sit down and enjoy as people do it for you.

[1:15] Whilst praises is congregational, we are all singing together, lifting our voices. And Jesus said in Hebrews chapter 2, verse 12, he says that, I will declare your name to my brethren in the midst of the congregation.

[1:31] I will sing praises in the midst of the church. Now, I want to submit to you that according to Revelation chapter 1, he said, when I turned back, I saw seven lampstands, and in the middle of the lampstand, one like the Son of Man.

[1:53] I saw him walking. What is he doing in the midst of the lampstands? First of all, we have to know what the lampstands are. And if you've been encouraged for a while, you would not be in any doubt what the lampstands are.

[2:08] Because the Bible does not leave us guessing what the lampstands are. In verse 20, it says that, The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, this is Jesus speaking, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

[2:29] So, lampstands are churches. And where do you find Jesus? He is walking in the midst of the church.

[2:42] In the midst of the churches, Jesus is walking. And I saw one like this, Solomon, in the midst of the seven lampstands. I saw he's right in the middle. Now, what is he doing in the middle of the seven lampstands?

[2:55] What is he doing in the middle of the church? What is he doing when he comes to church? The Bible makes us understand in Hebrews chapter 2, what I just said, that it says, In the midst of the church, I will sing praises unto God.

[3:10] Oh, that's why you don't have to come to church without hallelujah. Hallelujah. You are never permitted. You are not permitted and never permitted by having to be in church without hallelujah.

[3:28] You are not permitted to make any attempt to come to God without a hallelujah in your heart and in your mouth. Because our Lord Jesus Christ, in the midst of the lampstand, in the midst of the churches, He say, I'm doing one thing.

[3:44] I'm singing praises to the Lord. I'm shouting hallelujah. Oh, come on. Somebody shout hallelujah. So we have dedicated this special moment, this special time, to just sing hallelujah.

[4:02] Hallelujah. My hallelujah. Hallelujah. So in the scriptures, it says that Christ is in the midst of the churches.

[4:17] And he said to us in the scriptures that I will sing praises unto you in the midst of the church.

[4:29] Then we understand by prophet David that it's actually a good thing to give thanks to God and to sing praises to his name, the name of the most high.

[4:45] It's a good thing. That's why in church, Jesus said, I just go and sing praises. Now, one, it's a good thing to give thanks and to sing praises.

[4:59] And I want you to understand according to Hebrews chapter 12, verse 28 and 29, we have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken. It doesn't matter what is happening around.

[5:12] We are in a kingdom that cannot be shaken. We are in a bubble. The kingdom bubble.

[5:24] Everything can be shaken around us. But we are in a kingdom that cannot be shaken. So it says, therefore, since we have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace.

[5:36] Someone say grace. Grace. Say it again. Grace. Say it for the last time. Grace. Let us have grace. By this grace, we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

[5:53] So you need a particular grace to be able to serve God acceptably. Now, the Greek word translated grace is caris.

[6:10] I believe there's a word in French that is spelled almost G-R-A-C-E. Grass. What's the meaning of that? What's the meaning of that?

[6:21] Grace. Huh? Grace. French. Grass. It's not only grace, it also means thanks. Am I right?

[6:32] Do you have any French speaking? Grass, does it mean thanks? Yeah. Grace and thanks. So now, look at NIV.

[6:44] What I just quoted. Grace is grass. Thanks is grass. So, not grass as the grass, green grass. Therefore, watch this.

[6:57] Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful. Oh, so it looks like someone is wrong here. Because NIV said let's be thankful but New King James or King James says let's receive grace.

[7:16] So it means like charis is translated thankfulness there. And I just, you just found out from our French speaking brethren that grass is grace and grass means thanks.

[7:29] So actually, you can be thankful or you can receive grace when you are not thankful. Grace and thanks go hand in hand.

[7:42] Actually, actually, in Italian, grace and thankfulness are like they just go hand in hand.

[8:09] So NIV was not wrong to say let us be thankful. King James was not wrong when he says that let us receive grace. When you are thankful, you are just receiving.

[8:22] Oh, so, does that make sense when the scripture says it is a good thing to give thanks.

[8:40] Jesus saw the crowd, they were hungry, he brought the bread. All he had to do was not to pray. He didn't pray, he gave thanks. He gave thanks.

[8:52] He just gave thanks. And what he gave thanks for multiplied in his hands. It is a good thing to give thanks.

[9:03] What he gave thanks for multiplied in his hands. How about Paul and Silas? They were preaching and casting out devils and they were beating and put in prison.

[9:14] Acts chapter 16 and verse 25 at midnight, they were, what they should have done to us, someone should have thought or Silas should have told Paul, sir, everything was going okay.

[9:25] Why did you go and cast a demon? Why did you do deliverance? Because now you have brought us problem. And then Paul, like what happens between husband and wife, and then Paul would have also said, but we just had to cast a devil.

[9:37] Why are you blaming me for casting a devil? And you say, I'm not blaming you for casting a devil, but we should have left things the way they were. And we wouldn't have been in prison. They could have been having this discussion. But Bible says that at midnight, instead of having this nonsense discussion, they began to, oh, sing praises.

[9:57] Will you, will you just tone down or stop this murmuring and complaining and start giving praise? Really, if I were you, I would really shout the loudest hallelujah.

[10:10] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So now, I'm running out of time now and we have to, we have to practice what we are talking about.

[10:24] We have to practice it. But the fact that I am not singing doesn't mean I am not praising God. Oh, come on.

[10:35] Come on. In Ephesians chapter 5 verse 18, talks about don't be drunk with wine. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[10:45] Amen. Amen. Last night, some people were, some were getting drunk and dancing and someone was, how do you say, they were leaning on them.

[11:04] How do you say that thing? Yeah. So, so, people can be doing that and some of us we used to do that regularly. Amen.

[11:14] Now, we won't do that, we won't get drunk, he said, but instead, instead of getting drunk, oh, oh, oh. Wait.

[11:27] You have the unmitigated audacity to complain about my praising God? Did you know what I used to do for the devil?

[11:44] Do you know what I used to do for the devil? And the devil was stealing from my life, was killing things in my life, was destroying things in my life, but this just came that I will have life and have it more abundantly, and you mean I can be filled with the Holy Ghost and praising him?

[12:09] Excuse me. So, watch this. Do not be drunk with wine, in which is this, but be filled with the Spirit.

[12:21] Look at our next verse. Speaking to one another in Psalms, in hymns, spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

[12:33] Speaking about Psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing, making melody in your heart to the Lord. Excitement without expression is depression.

[12:50] It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord and to sing.

[13:01] Not to think. Not to think. To sing praises. He said in Psalm 22, verse 3, that in the midst of the congregation, I will, it says that, but thou inhabit the praises of your people.

[13:22] Verse 3 says that God inhabits the praise of his people. I think I missed this. There's, I think Psalm 33 also. He says that in the midst of the congregation, I will sing the same thing that Jesus, 22 rather, verse 22.

[13:36] I will declare thy name unto my brethren. In the midst of the congregation, I will praise thee. With all God has done for you, you can't praise him in the midst of the congregation.

[13:51] You are very ungrateful. So, we want to, that's what we are doing.

[14:02] We have come as a congregation. So, me, I'm coming into the congregation to sing praise. But you too, you are in a congregation to sing praise. Everybody is so, so long as it's you, you are in a congregation.

[14:15] What are you doing in a congregation? Singing praise. Singing praise. But if you are not careful, people will give you a certain attitude. People will look at you, but why are you dancing like that? But why shouldn't I dance like that?

[14:28] Some people, what I'm about to say is kind of interesting and I think you should think about it. Some people have never sweated for Jesus. Singing. When the excitement is very deep, that makes you sweat.

[14:44] Since you became born again, show me when you had that same excitement, deep excitement and sweating for Jesus. Show me, show me. You who claim that this God has done so much for you and you are grateful.

[14:57] Show me. Today is an opportunity. Boy. Girl, it's an opportunity to go well.

[15:09] Make sure by the time you are getting home, you are so tired. You don't have time to watch a movie or even watch anything. Why?

[15:20] Because love the Lord your God. Matthew chapter 22 verse 37 and 30. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind.

[15:38] But when you look at Mark chapter 12, let's go to verse 30. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart. Uh-huh. With all your soul. Uh-huh. With all your soul.

[15:49] Uh-huh. With all your soul. Uh-huh. Whether you are macho or you are not macho, use all your strength.

[16:02] All your strength. Energy. When the scripture says all your strength, it means energy. Energy.

[16:13] Energy. Energy. Energy. Praising God with intensity. And with energy. Sit down.

[16:24] Let me finish this. Then we can get into it. Two minutes. Is that okay? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

[16:34] Yes. They were bringing the ark of the covenant from verse 5. They were bringing it from the house of Obedidom to the city David has built for.

[16:46] And Bible said David danced with all from verse 5, 6, 7. He danced with all. He was dancing and he was uncovered. Give me verse 6, please. Verse 6.

[16:57] And when they came to Nacon's threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand. I think, let me turn to my Bible.

[17:07] I want you to see something so that you have biblical legitimacy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Somebody say, biblical legitimacy.

[17:21] And Bible says that, verse 15 is what I've learned. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting. Say shouting. Shout to you.

[17:33] Hallelujah. They brought the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of a trumpet.

[17:48] With the sound. That's why I like whistles sometimes. And as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, looked through the window and saw King David.

[18:02] Say, King David. King David. Emphasize on the king. Say, King David. King David. Doesn't matter how important you are. Not in the presence of God. King David knew that secret.

[18:15] King David. King David. Say, King David. King David. He saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord. And she despised him in her heart.

[18:29] How can you be dancing like that in church? Yeah. King David. King David. What I don't understand is people who in maybe former or even now parties, nightclub, but you used to dance.

[18:43] You used to do things. Even at the moment we have clips of yours on social media of dancing. Yes. And you've come to church. You are coming to look cool.

[18:54] You are not that cool. You are not that cool. It's about time. Put aside your diplomacy. And so David, she despised him in her heart.

[19:08] And then verse 20 says that, Then David returned to bless his house. And Michal, the daughter of Saul, came out to meet David and said, How glorious was the king of Israel today who uncovered himself.

[19:23] Uncovered himself today in the eyes of the maidens of his servants as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovered himself.

[19:35] He said, You behave like someone who doesn't have dignity. You are a king. How can you be uncovering yourself? You brought yourself too low the way you were dancing. You can't do that.

[19:45] We are in public. You can't. You can't. We are a very gentle person. You can't. You can't. You can't do that. Yeah. So some of you, when you begin to dance, I'm going to say, Why are you doing it? Take it easy.

[19:56] Take what easy. Take what easy. Now, I'm ending now. And then David. And David said to Michal, Sometimes you don't have to even speak.

[20:09] Your attitude must be saying to somebody. Your attitude must be saying to someone who is looking down or dancing before God, that speak to the end. The ear in the end.

[20:21] And David said to Michal, It was before all. It said it was before the Lord. Wow. So you see, his revelation was, I know God was here.

[20:35] You think he was just dancing. But I know it's, David said it was before the Lord. Who chose me before your father? Yes. I know it's before. I know it's before. Yes. It made me a kisser before.

[20:46] And look at his response. The next verse. Verse 22 says that, I will yet be more vile than this. You say, I'm doing it too much.

[20:59] See. You say, I'm dancing too much. David says, see. I'm about to even. You haven't seen. You haven't seen anything yet. You haven't seen anything yet.

[21:10] You haven't seen anything yet. Is somebody ready to give the Lord your wildest dance? If you believe in Shad, yes, Lord.

[21:24] So don't forget, at midnight in prison, they were dancing. They were praising God. You are not in prison. They were in chains, but they praise God.

[21:38] You are not in chains. Please, push your hands. Thank you for listening to this message by David Entry. You're welcome to connect with David Entry on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
