[0:00] Hallelujah! Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2, our Christ-centered youth services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.
[0:14] May Jesus Christ reveal himself to you as you listen. 1 Corinthians chapter 12, verse 1 says, Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I will not have you ignorant.
[0:24] Ye know that ye were Gentiles carried away unto these damned idols. Even as ye were led. Wherefore, I give you to understand that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed, and that no man can say Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Spirit.
[0:44] Now there are diversities of gifts by the same Spirit. There are differences of administrations by the same law. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which works all in all.
[1:03] But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit with all. Here ends the reading of God's holy word.
[1:13] Father, thank you that you loved us and gave us your Son, and leaving your Spirit till your work on earth is done. We thank you for the supply of your Spirit and the power of your Word.
[1:28] In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Operating supernatural gifts. Operating supernatural gifts.
[1:38] I taught you about the gifts of the Spirit, Word of knowledge, Word of wisdom. Actually, I divided them. So we have the vocal gifts, we have the singing gifts or revelatory gifts, and then we have the power gifts.
[1:54] The vocal gifts are the same as the gift of all-trans. So all-trans gifts, vocal gifts. They are the word of prophecy, diverse kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues.
[2:07] And then when you come to the revelation gifts or seeing gifts, we have the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, and discernment of spirit. And then when we come to the power gifts, we have the working of miracles, gifts of healing, gifts of healings.
[2:25] Okay. First Corinthians chapter 12, verse 8 or somewhere there, it says that, verse 9, so it said to another, the gifts, plural, not the Spirit, it's gifts, gifts of healing.
[2:44] The healing is singular, but the gifts are plural. That's another interesting point. So to another, the gifts of healings, working of miracles, gifts of healings, and gift of faith.
[3:03] Right? So these are the gifts. Now it says that, listen to how it opens up the text, the chapter, concerning spiritual gifts, I do not want you to be ignorant.
[3:14] So these are things you should know. Because you can't be doing well as a Christian, and you are ignorant about things like this. Now, and I explain what these gifts are, and I showed you, if you want to operate in these gifts, it doesn't take, it's not something exclusive or esoteric.
[3:39] Something is like a special preserve of certain type of people. No. It's actually, the Bible says that, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one.
[3:51] Verse 7. It's given to every man. Say every man. Every man. Not every male. M-A-L-E. Man. Other translations may even put it different.
[4:02] Every person. So it's not gender. It has not got anything to do, it's not got anything to do with gender. So, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit with all, in order to profit all others.
[4:20] So God never gives you the spirit, the gift for yourself. Out of the nine gifts we see, only one benefits you, which is the speaking in tongues.
[4:31] All the rest are to benefit others. So you see, if you don't have others on your mind, there's no way God will be, will put you on the list of those he will use.
[4:43] Because you don't like people, so how, why should we put you in customer service? He don't like interacting with people. So, it's very important to understand that for God to use you, there are things that must be in place in your life.
[4:57] Gifts, you give, and now you have some of these gifts. Now, don't forget that I said, fundamentally, you must be in, that's when you're a Christian, fundamentally, once you're a Christian, the spirit of God is your entitlement, is your heritage.
[5:16] But the manifestation of the gifts will not happen just because you have the Holy Spirit. The fact that you have the Holy Spirit, one of the things that show you have the Holy Spirit is not necessarily the gifts of the spirit, but the fruits.
[5:33] what shows that there's a mango tree around is when you got into that orchard, you saw a mango fruit lying somewhere. What's mango fruit doing here?
[5:45] Ah, there must be a mango tree. You go into somebody's garden and you see an apple. You go and see pink lady. Even that, you won't even say the other tree.
[5:56] You will say, it's the pink lady apple tree here. Because it's the fruit that tells you what kind of tree it is. So, Jesus puts it this way, you shall know them by their fruits.
[6:07] How do you know people? By their fruits. Is that guy born again? I don't know. Look at the fruits now. So, the manifestation of the spirit is not reflective of the measure of your spiritual maturity.
[6:26] So, there are people who can manifest the things of the spirit, but they are spiritually still amateurs. But they make themselves available. Now, the Holy Spirit uses people who yield to him.
[6:40] So, the more you yield to him, the more he will use you. The more you desire the spirit, the more he will use you. Now, what are some of the things to do? Because, if it's the entitlement of every believer, why is it that the manifestation of the gifts of the spirit is not shown in every believer?
[6:56] So, we are looking at what are the things you do so that the manifestation of the gifts will show in your life. In 2 Corinthians 4, verse 7, he said, we have this treasure in earthen vessels.
[7:12] We are the vessels made of earth. And Bible says, there's treasure in us. Everybody who is born again has treasure. You are the treasure of God, the inheritance of God.
[7:25] Excuse me. the heritage of God. Ephesians chapter 1, verse 13, it talks about we have been sealed. Sealed. When you seal something, it's a reflection of ownership.
[7:38] Seal shows, it tells us ownership. The seal of this person is on it. It's like a stamp. Not just that. Seal also, it preserves the content.
[7:50] Secures the content. So when you buy something and the seal is broken, they'll tell you, return it. When you go to Apple, you buy a phone or wherever shop, you buy a phone and the seal is already broken, don't accept it.
[8:02] When the phone is delivered and the seal is not there, don't accept it because it shows that the content is not secured. Now, Holy Spirit is the seal of God on your life which shows that the fact that you are a son of God is secure, you are a child of God is secure.
[8:17] The inheritance, the blessings of God in your life is secure. Now, when you are born again, the manifestation of the Spirit in your life is your spiritual heritage.
[8:28] Why doesn't the manifestation happen in every believer's life? Because there are things that must be in place to necessitate or warrant the manifestation of the Spirit.
[8:40] So I said, number one, if you want to see the manifestation of the Spirit, the gift of the Spirit in your life, working the supernatural, number one, you have to seek God's glory.
[8:51] You are not doing it so people can see how powerful you are. Sabrina the teenage witch is what you are talking about. But if you want God to use you, then it shouldn't be about how important you are.
[9:05] In fact, in Philippians chapter 2, verse 5, it said, let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, verily in the form of God, counted it not robbery to be equal with God, but, this is a serious one, verse 6, but made himself of what?
[9:28] The reason why God is not using you is you are making yourself of reputation. Going on, you know who I am. Look at John the Baptist. The one who came to introduce Jesus, he was in the desert eating locusts and wild honey, or honey and wild locusts, and camel belt, camel skin, proper leather dough.
[9:51] in the desert. No one knew him. And Bible says that, can you imagine, God kept him, he was kept at the back of the desert.
[10:02] The last verse in Luke chapter 1, yeah, chapter 1, verse 18, the last verse. And this is talking about John the Baptist. The child grew and worked strong in the spirit, and yet, he was in the desert till the day of his showing unto Israel.
[10:20] The guy was working strong in the spirit, but still, he was in the desert. Some of us, you can't stay in the desert. You must be seen. So, he was kept in the desert.
[10:31] Jesus made himself. Never forget that scripture. He made himself. He was not made. He made himself of no reputation and no that, and then he took upon himself the form of a servant.
[10:47] The form of a servant. When you come to church, Asha says, sit there. For goodness sake, make yourself of no reputation. My boy said, wherefore?
[10:58] Ooh, verse 7, he didn't make himself reputation. He humbled himself even today. He became obedient even today. And he humbled himself.
[11:09] Do you see humility? And became obedient even the death. Because the death of the cross, they strip you naked. So, the pictures you are seeing of Jesus on the cross, just, you know, so it doesn't look bad.
[11:25] So, they just put, that napkin was not there. Naked, some of you already. Yeah, that's what they did to Jesus. Naked. It was, and they put you in town.
[11:35] Where everybody will be seeing you. Shameful death is the most cruel and foul way anyone can die. and Jesus, if you die, at least you die in a car crash or a landslide or something.
[11:48] Why this way? You're too honorable. God coming to earth to humiliate himself like that, but so that he can save somebody. He made himself of no reputation.
[12:01] In terms of you, when they say, you want to give your life to Jesus, you are so important to yourself. That's why God can't save you. Too important. You are too important. You want me to work? There's nothing to you.
[12:13] That's what I, you see, the people who there's nothing to usually can be very proud and arrogant. Don't have anything, no achievement in your life. You're very proud.
[12:25] Oh, these things I know so much. I know so much. No one can tell me anything I can do. Never say things like that. No one can tell me what I should do. You are a fool to say that. Foolish.
[12:36] When you buy a washing machine, tell them the manufacturer cannot tell you what to do. When you buy Ikea flat pack carpet, the instructions, someone needs to instruct you.
[12:49] So what do you mean by no one can tell you what to do? What's the meaning of that? What's the meaning of that? War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. War. It became humble unto the death on the cross.
[13:03] Look at the next verse. It says, the word for, see the word for, because of this, God has also, you see that also, that God too, took a step.
[13:15] He was forced. When you make yourself of no reputation, you cannot stay low in life. If it's for the name of Christ, he will exalt you. God also highly exalted this guy and gave him a name which is above every name.
[13:31] How did he get that? Because he made himself of no reputation and humbled himself. You want to operate the things of the spirit, think about the glory of God. Not the glory of man.
[13:43] Not how important you look. How people will see now, they say now, yeah, they will know that, yeah, I'm there. God is not going to use you for you. He's using you for others. So until you learn how to ignore this selfie thing, spiritual, God using does not got selfie cameras.
[14:00] You don't see yourself. It's not you. It's always about others. Okay, what's the second point? Huh?
[14:13] You have to be Christ-centered. Everything you are doing, Christ must be the focus. Third point. Oh, how can you operate spiritual gifts if you don't desire it?
[14:24] Then you both think that you are there and you go to say, I thought that my daughter, I want to use you. No, no, no, you have to desire that God will use me. God will use me. Some of you, you must desire that you'll be a great preacher.
[14:37] Desire that, even though you are struggling with pornography, end it because you are designed to be a great preacher. See what I'm saying? Yeah. And it will happen for you. It will happen. Desire that you'll be a great man of God's wife or a great woman of God.
[14:52] Yeah, desire it. Desire it. Desire that God will use me. The gift of the Spirit will be flowing through me. You have to desire it.
[15:03] If you don't desire it, you don't deserve it. You have to desire it. He who is thirsty, let him come. So, desire.
[15:16] Everybody say desire. Desire. Say desire. Desire. Number four. Consecration. I've said, this one gets more of my time because purity and all that.
[15:28] Keep yourself clean, okay? Keep yourself clean. Keep yourself clean. Keep yourself clean. Even if you mess up, clean up.
[15:41] And maintain yourself clean. Keep yourself clean. I mean, if you have had, maybe, you were busy and you were sweating and your sweat was generating an unpleasant smell.
[15:58] You cry and say, no, go and just clean up. And then, now use children so that you can keep yourself clean. God uses certain vessels for specialized missions.
[16:17] Clean vessels. Clean vessels. Consecration means keep yourself clean for God. I've been saying break up, break up.
[16:28] You won't break up with that girl and the boy. Meanwhile, that is your biggest setback because it's messing up your testimony. You say nothing will happen, but it keeps happening. Your intentions are genuine, but your will, your ability is not at the level of your intentions.
[16:49] Your ability hasn't developed to the level of your intentions. So what do you do? Seize fire. Cut off. Because you can't produce that result. Consecration.
[17:00] Keep yourself clean. There will never be a time where you don't find something attractive or temptation. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no.
[17:12] Can I tell you? Girls will always be fine. Girls will be always fine. Ladies, can I tell you?
[17:23] Guys will always be hot. Oh, I like this guy. Oh, yeah, I like him. He's my type. you see a lot of your type in church and outside of church but just get over yourself because sometimes you know how many of you have felt like when can I be free of this temptation and you just want to be free because you really want to say how many of you have felt like that before some of the people are even tempted not to raise their hand because their temptation is to pretend hey how many of you don't like raising your hands some people they will never raise their hand for anything sometimes also an expression of pride and arrogance who do you think you are it doesn't change anything for us so temptations don't go as long as you have the flesh different things tempt different people some of you it's just food you can hide in your room all day and just eat and eat and eat at the moment there are pieces of biscuits under your pillow yes cramps biscuits, cramps and fragments on your bed everywhere so consecration and the next point if you want to be learn how to serve because there is anointing in service let's all say that together yeah as you are on the job
[19:15] God empowers you by his spirit as you serve it says these are the signs that will follow those who Mark chapter 16 verse 15 and 16 these are the signs that will follow those who believe signs that will do what follow them so the signs what do they do follow them signs do what follow them signs do what follow them so if you want to see signs what do you have to do start moving you have to move before signs will follow if you don't move signs ain't coming anywhere because signs they follow do you understand what I'm saying yeah following means movement so he wants to work in spiritual gifts take movement start doing something serve and be genuine about the service you are interested in really serving whatever capacity they put you you don't mind you just want to serve opportunity to serve whatever they put you on the front row in the choir you don't mind at the back you don't mind whatever they put you on reserve you don't mind just give me opportunity to serve that has always been my approach to life since I got born again
[20:31] I always look for opportunity to serve not to preach I look for opportunity to serve that's why after preaching I like interacting with people seeing how best I can even serve them all I just love service and I realize that there is anointing in service the more Bible says that how in Acts chapter 10 verse 13 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power who when about the more anointed you are the anointing is for work you can't be anointed and not do anything no when God is anointed that means you are about to work that is why he likes to see people who are already on the job then he can anoint them more to keep doing it the reward for hard work is more work number one six you need faith they just shall live by faith everything you have to do in God is by faith number seven be prayerful the Holy Spirit cannot work through people who are not giving to prayer you have and hello can you start trying believing God to develop the ability to pray long so maybe you have been praying 30 minutes believe God that you will be able to do one hour believe God that one day your ultimate that you will do eight hours non-stop not that it depends on your friends you have anyway believe God that one day you will break a record people can boast about all kinds of things you should also make it your target instead of targeting that any woman
[22:08] I want I will get you should make it your target that I will pray one day for ten hours non-stop and my regular prayer time we heard John Wesley he said if you don't pray four hours before now we are still talking about John Wesley almost 200 years afterwards and more still talking about John Wesley this is a prayerful man he said we will continue to give ourselves to prayer prayer so if you want God to use you please pray pray that God will use you pray for the people God is sending you to pray for them you don't have the qualification to make an impact on the lives of people you are not praying for pray for them you go out for outreach pray before you go and pray for God to send you the people he wants you to speak to and then after pray for the people you are spoken to pray that they will grow in the Lord they will come to know the Lord they will be strong in the Lord pray for people and I shall pray that today let the service the people I direct let it be a blessing to them
[23:11] Lord use me let them be blessed when they come with heavy hearts let as soon as I meet them let the heavy hearts lift pray choirister pray that as you sing as you minister God will use you to meet someone in ways that no man can meet pray for them and pray for yourself that God use me pray pray that God give me grace anoint me for your word pray you are not praying you think you can flow in the Holy Ghost it doesn't happen like that is that one getting something number eight you have to be kingdom minded or soul winning minded you are thinking about how many souls God is winning you are not thinking about how much clapping you are getting how much applause you are getting but you are thinking how many souls have been won you think about souls you think about the kingdom building of the kingdom of God that is on the forefront of your mind think about it think about it then you can talk about how God can use you because you think about what God thinks about most the building of the church and souls
[24:18] I see God using you let me give you two more points number nine if you want to pray the gift of the Holy Spirit listen some people don't know this but I need to tell you this boldness say boldness yeah you need it Acts chapter three verse six it says silver and gold have I man such as I have I give to you and you know what I did they held the man who was crippled he has never walked from his mother's room they held him and he took him by the right hand and lifted him up what are you doing Peter that guy has not done physio lifted him up boldly walk and immediately immediately they immediately follows the lifting in Acts chapter 14 verse three it says therefore we are both there we stayed there boldly speaking so we stayed alone therefore are both there speaking boldly in the
[25:30] Lord who also gave testimony unto the word of his grace and granted signs you see boldness who allows signs and wonders to flow so when they intimidated them in Acts chapter four verse 23 when they were let go they went back to their company and they when they have said this verse 24 they lifted their voices together and prayed they lifted their voice and they prayed they said God you who knows the heart and they said all that about Jesus Christ verse 27 verse 28 it says and then it's part of their prayer what they have done to Jesus and they quoted from some and they said for to do whatever their counsel they killed Jesus but they were fulfilling God's counsel then in verse 29 it says grant us therefore behold they are threatening look at the way they are threatening and grant us boldness oh they didn't say money and links and contacts and connections they said grant us and grant us grant unto thy servant that with all boldness we will speak that's what they wanted and how should God by stretching forth your hands verse 30 by stretching forth your hands thy hands to heal that signs and wonders will be done and the boldness and bible says when they had prayed the place where they stood and they were all filled with the holy ghost and what happened and they went out and they spoke the word of God did you see that they spoke boldness in 2nd
[27:08] Corinthians chapter 3 verse 11 and 12 it says that we are not like Moses who had to cover his face because when he went to spend time with God the glory of God was so much on him when he came he said Moses we can't look at the two verses we can't look at the ah so Moses the glory of the the covenant God gave to Moses to bring to the children of Israel the glory was so intense Moses had to cover his face like a bride with a veil so they were seeing his face but they couldn't see it clearly and they liked it that way so the Israelites Moses was an epitome okay an epitome that means that it's a symbol of the law that God the glory of the law that's why they quote Moses in the New Testament Moses said Moses said Matthew chapter 5 Jesus said you heard it Moses said in the law and all that Moses said Moses said so Moses reflects or is an iconic figure to represent the entirety of the law God gave and so
[28:09] Moses when he brought the law to them he had to cover his face with a veil because they couldn't look at his face when you spend time with God it begins to show on you yeah and the children of God saw the face of Moses that the skin of Moses face shone and Moses put a veil on his face again until he went in to speak with God they had to cover it because they couldn't look at Moses and he had to talk to them so he had to eventually get a veil and that act was symbolic so he said he said he said he said how can
[29:11] Gentiles fellowship with Jews it was already in the law but it was veiled so they couldn't see it so he says that whatever the law was saying the way Moses veiled his face up till now when the law is read when Moses is read a veil covers the Jews face it's in your Bible 2nd Corinthians chapter 3 I'm talking about verse 11 verse 12 verse 13 look at it 2nd Corinthians chapter 3 and not as Moses we are not like Moses which put a veil over his face that the children of Israel abolished the law is passing but they couldn't see the end of it because it was covered so they didn't see when it went look at the next verse yeah that's where we leave the main quotation it says that seeing that we have such hope we use great plainness of seed how does the New King James put it yes that's the one I'm looking for great but we use great boldness we are not don't be afraid he wasn't really a man of
[30:20] God preach Jesus we use boldness of speech now look at the next verse unlike Moses who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing look at verse 14 very scary but their minds were blinded for until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament because the veil is taken away in Christ so you see people say I'm religious but all this you are talking about church and Christ it's veiled how do you see properly when you come into Christ suddenly it's there look at the next verse 16 but let's go to verse 15 it says that but even to this day when Moses is red a veil lies on their heart now this is not their face their heart is veiled that's why
[31:24] Jesus came they killed him that's why the apostles started preaching Christ they were killing them because veil covers their face veil covers their heart the same thing they don't even understand God so when Jesus said Moses has been speaking about it that's what he said in John chapter chapter chapter chapter verse 46 Moses read wrote about me but you don't come to me and you say you are Moses disciple so what are you following yeah what Moses wrote they've been reading it by a veil cover so they don't see the terms they don't really see what it was about but it says that up to look at verse 16 it's a sweet one nevertheless when one turns to the Lord the Lord is talking about Christ how many of you before you came to you became born again you used to talk rubbish about church and you are so confident about the things you thought you knew you didn't know how ignorant you were you were busily always displaying or putting on display your acute ignorance you just told you talk but you didn't know until you became born again and suddenly some of you said why do you go to church every
[32:46] Sunday it's not necessary if you are born again you don't have to your eyes are blind that's the problem you can't see the kingdom of God that's why you talk blah blah blah blah blah blah you are so ignorant when it comes to spiritual things you someone who loves the Lord and you why is he so excited about you don't see the point why should I read my
[33:46] Bible and they said this like somebody wrote this book many years ago what has I got to do in my life veil veil veil veil veil your heart is covered with veil but when one turns to the Lord the veil hallelujah please sit down let me round up I have to the day I was 10 many years ago I was studying my Bible I came across 2nd Corinthians chapter this it blessed me so much I was waiting but why is it that pastors are not preaching this once read your Bible don't wait to you a pastor before you read your Bible you become a pastor who doesn't read your Bible charity begins at home but does it end there in other words the character you develop in your early stages will determine how you behave when you become big those of you who never from primary school you never liked mass you finished uni but you still don't like mass it started with primary school am it all right my time so bold say bold you want to operate in the spirit you have to have faith in
[35:06] God trust God but besides that you also need boldness be confident in the Lord in 2nd Timothy chapter 1 verse 12 Paul said nevertheless I'm not ashamed for I know in whom I believed and I am persuaded I am persuaded the Bible says that some people it's not the unbelievers it's not just the blindness it's not the veil it's blind 2nd Corinthians chapter 4 verse 4 the God of this world has blinded the minds their minds of unbelievers so their eyes too is covered by veil amen so say boldness be bold in first in Philippians chapter 1 verse he said being confident of this very thing being confident is it not nice when I read the
[36:06] Bible I don't know can't you also see the things I'm seeing being confident of this very thing Christianity is full of confidence Christianity walking with God is full of certainties did you hear what I just said certainties it's not like I'm thinking maybe when I die I'm going to heaven I can't imagine many people are other religions ask them when you die when you go to heaven he said maybe why will I follow someone who doesn't know where he's going you he said me I am the way I am the truth and the life yeah and Luke chapter one verse one two and three he said I've written these things that you will know with certainty.
[37:01] It says that thou might know the certainty of those things which thou hast been instructed.
[37:16] He said, I'm writing this. Give me a different translation. Give me a different translation. That you might know the certainty of this. New America started best if you have got it.
[37:26] That you might know the exact truth about the things you have. You know you are certain. NIV. How does NIV put it?
[37:37] The NIV, it says that you might know the certainty of the things. They are certain in Christianity. Full of certainties. Not guesswork.
[37:49] Maybe God will bless me. You must know if you are going to be blessed. You must know it. Ah! Pastor, the way I live my life with God, I know I will be blessed.
[38:03] I knew I am going to pastor a very great healthy church many years ago before I got here. Because of the way I saw in scripture and I saw play, applying my heart to the revelations I knew.
[38:15] I knew I cannot stay poor because I have seen there is a pathway out of poverty. Giving and giving and giving and giving. If your mind is blinded or Bill covers your face, you say, I am doing charity to the church.
[38:28] The church doesn't. Keep your money. The church doesn't need your money. Don't come and help the church. Did the church tell you he is needing help? Even not Bill Gates or Elon Musk can help the church.
[38:40] He can't help the church. Are you getting something? So, when you want to operate the things of that, you have to develop boldness in your God.
[38:55] Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work shall perform it unto the day of Jesus. Ah! I'm confident about this. I'm confident about this.
[39:08] So, we are not of the security and we put no confidence in the flesh. Philippians chapter 3 verse 3. We put no confidence in the flesh.
[39:20] Your confidence in the flesh is what makes you unconfident to operate the things of the spirit. Because when you look at your natural abilities, you are not able to do that. So, because you put focus on your natural abilities and you are always confident about the things you are able to do well, when it comes to the things you are not able to do, you have found one thing so you keep quiet.
[39:43] If you haven't been to uni and everybody, people have come to uni and they are talking about, oh, when I was on campus, you know, you keep quiet. You don't have anything to say. So, if you put confidence in natural things, then when it comes to your deficiencies or your inadequacies, you end up shutting up.
[40:01] You don't have confidence in the things that you are not good at. But, when your confidence is not in the flesh, but in the power of God, that whether you are good at it or you are not good at it is not an issue.
[40:14] Boldness! Say boldness! Finally, to operate the things of the spirit, the supernatural. If you want to operate the supernatural, number one, number two, number three, number four, number five, number six, number seven, number eight, kingdom mindedness, number nine, and then, number ten, work with God.
[41:07] Work with God. Pastor, what do you mean by work with God? Practice His presence. When you are walking, when you are living your life, you are aware that He's with you.
[41:19] You are aware. When the dove came and settled on the shoulders of Jesus, you remember, in Matthew chapter three, verse 16, and the heavens was opened and the Holy Ghost came like a dove and alighted.
[41:32] The Bible used the word alighted. The heavens were opened and saw the Lord descending upon, descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
[41:45] You know, there's a difference between pigeons and dove. Pigeons, they're, Trafalgar Square, they are just stubborn. They can even come and take their food from your hands.
[41:56] But doves don't like noise. They just withdraw. They are very gentle. They withdraw. They are very harmless. Doves, doves, doves, doves, pigeons, they eat anything.
[42:06] Doves don't eat anything. They are very gentle. They are very, Google the difference between pigeon and dove and it will help you to understand. And guess what? So, pigeon noise, sometimes a car is coming, they will be still on the road.
[42:22] But a dove, a dove hears the sound of a car, it's gone. Gone. And the Holy Spirit came like a dove and alighted. So, if you are walking with a dove on your shoulder, a lot of places you can't go because it will disturb you.
[42:37] A dove will fly away. The way you walk will even change. Now, you can't walk straight. You walk like this because why? Someone say, help! Shh! You know, someone is beginning to call you.
[42:50] You say, shh! What is it? Why? Because you are hosting his presence. You are hosting his presence.
[43:02] You are hosting. It's not everywhere you can go. You can't engage in every conversation. Some movies you can't watch. Not because it's a sin, but you are hosting his presence. You don't want anything that will destabilize the presence.
[43:16] Learn how to walk with God. Host his presence. Host his presence. Host his presence. So when he hosts his presence, you don't try to do. He just flows through you.
[43:28] Instead of trying to do God, let me do this. No, he's flowing through you. They were going to pray, Peter and John. They got to the beautiful grave. The man was, he's been sitting there for a long time. He always sits there.
[43:39] But on this occasion, when they saw the guy, the guy was asking them for arms. Can you give him some money for the boys? Something small for the boys? Something small for the boys? And Peter said, look on us.
[43:51] He also looked on them thinking that they are about to give him something. And he said, silver and gold, we have none. As such as I have. They didn't plan it that today, let's go to that guy there. They didn't plan it. It happened extemporaneously.
[44:04] In the same way, in Acts chapter 14, Paul was teaching. He was teaching and there was this man sitting listening to Paul. Paul didn't plan that he would be there. He was listening to that and then the Bible said, Paul saw, verse 7, Paul saw he had faith to be at Lystra.
[44:17] Paul saw he had faith to be healed. Paul said, get up and walk. And he has never walked from his mother's womb. He just jumped and started walking. It looks like it was an accident. It wasn't planned.
[44:28] But when you walk with God, he just flows through you as and when. He flows through you. He said, all these things were worked by the Spirit severally, as he will. 1 Corinthians chapter 12, verse 11.
[44:41] But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as he wills. He chooses how he's going to do it. So, what you choose is to host him, accommodate, create room in your life for a permanent stay of the Spirit.
[45:01] Because there are places you go, you will disturb that. He will withdraw. people say, quench not the Spirit. He said, grieve not the Spirit. You can't grieve. Hey! When you look at the music you are listening to and the kind of conversation you are engaging in, the Holy Spirit withdraws himself.
[45:20] He gets withdrawn. But to host him, you just remember, ah, I can't go here because I have a guest. I've got a guest.
[45:30] I've got a guest. You see a guy, he wants to marry you. He said, let's go out. You can just go out for coffee. But when he finished coffee, he was putting, trying to put his hand on your tie.
[45:41] Oh, Holy Ghost. Give him your hand. Sometimes, don't be gentle. Slap somebody's hand or something.
[45:53] Slap the devil and then, and get her. Get her. He said, excuse me. What do you think of me? Then he said, Holy Spirit, sorry for even me coming here.
[46:04] Holy Spirit, I'll see you later. God bless you. Holy Spirit, let's go. Learn how to host his presence. He uses you seamlessly when you host him.
[46:16] You want to work in the supernatural, but you're not working with God. God is the supernatural. Work with God. And Enoch worked with God and he was no man. Work with God.
