[0:00] Hallelujah! Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2, our Christ-centered youth services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.

[0:14] May Jesus Christ reveal himself to you as you listen. Father, thank you that the teaching, the reading and the teaching and preaching of your Word brings life.

[0:26] Breathe your name and breathe yourself into us as your Word comes to us. Open us up into dimensions in you which no human being can take us but by your Spirit.

[0:40] Holy Spirit, reveal Jesus to us as your Word is taught in Jesus' name. Amen. In Matthew chapter 4, verse 17, Jesus sees some disciples, or not disciples yet, began to preach, and verse 18, let's go to the verse 18.

[1:00] And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter and Andrew's brother, casting their nets, for they were fishermen. And verse 19 says, he told them, follow me, and he said to them, follow me, and I'll make you what?

[1:14] Fishers of me. So what were they? What was their profession? From verse 18, what was their profession? They were fishers or fishermen.

[1:24] All right? They were fishers. They had a job. So if you don't want to go to school, but you want to do the work of God, you are fake.

[1:38] You won't do it. Anyone who does not work, does not do God's work. Because God's work is work. What helps you to do God's work is your culture of work.

[1:52] You have to know how to work to be able to do the work of God. I think you should write that down. Know how to work so as to be able to do the work of God.

[2:04] Now, Jesus said to them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

[2:16] And I'll make you what? Let's read it aloud from the screen. Let's go. And he says there, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Amen. He said, follow me. And the objective I have for you for following me is to make you fishers of men.

[2:33] I will make you fishers of men. Right? And they worked with him for a long time. Sometimes in Luke, this is Matthew. So in Matthew chapter 10, he sent them to go and preach.

[2:44] In Luke chapter 10, he sent them to go and preach. But that time hasn't started. And then he worked with them, and he was coming to the end of his life. Every natural life ends.

[2:55] Right? Every natural life. You are young. One day, you'll be very old. You'll be very old without teeth, potentially. That's if you live long.

[3:09] You will live long in Jesus' life. And you'll be holding a stick sometimes. It depends on what you do now. It will determine how your health will look like. Jesus called them to be fishers of men.

[3:23] But he's dying and he's about to go. And there's still no fishers of men. And he told them, you are going to be fishers of men. I meant it. But in Acts chapter 1 verse 4, he said, wait.

[3:39] Before you become fishers of men, wait. Wait. Somebody say wait. Wait. There's always the appropriate time for action. Right? Now, Jesus told them to wait.

[3:51] Now, when you look at Acts chapter 13, they were together praying. And the Holy Ghost said, separate unto me Barnabas and Saul, verse 2, for the work I have called them to do.

[4:02] And then, when they are fasted and prayed, they laid their hands on them and sent them. And Bible says, verse 4, having been sent, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went to places.

[4:16] They didn't get up and started doing their own thing. God had a plan. God had a plan. In Acts chapter 8, verse 14 and 15, when the church apostles in Jerusalem, when they heard that Jerusalem, Samaria has received the word, they did what?

[4:35] They sent. What did they do? They sent Peter and John to them. So, they sent. Peter and John didn't get up to just go. There's always a system to operate in.

[4:48] Jesus didn't just come. He said, I was sent by the Father. He said, I did not come to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me. Right? I was sent. So, in Hebrews chapter 3, verse 1, Jesus is called the apostle and the high priest of our calling.

[5:07] Who is an apostle? The Greek word is apostolos. Somebody who has been sent. Jesus was sent. He is the apostle of our confession. Hallelujah. He was sent.

[5:19] Jesus Christ, the high priest, the apostle and high priest of our confession. So, Jesus was sent. The apostles were sent.

[5:30] We could tell Peter, even though he was a senior man, he was sent. So, when it comes to working with God, it's a mission. It's a mission.

[5:43] That stems out of a commission. What's a commission? Commission is a charge that has been given to you. And from the commission, you know what you are supposed to step out to do.

[5:53] So, mission is stepping out to do something for God. Stepping out into an assignment. It's a mission. It's a mission. But you don't step out until you have received a mandate or there's a commission from a commissioner.

[6:07] God is the ultimate commissioner. So, God commissions you and he says that I'm going to turn Scotland upside down for Jesus. And I'm going to use you.

[6:18] That's the commission. And he said, get up and go. Getting up and going is the mission. You don't embark on a mission without a commission. And you don't get a commission from your friends.

[6:33] You get a commission from the commissioner through the appropriate channels he has put in place. So, the scripture I read in Acts chapter 2, we saw, Bible says that when Peter preached, they were cut to the heart.

[6:49] They were, King James said they were print in their heart. And they said, men and brethren, what shall we do? And Peter said, repent. Everybody say repent.

[7:01] Repent. What's the meaning of repent? Stop doing it. Tell somebody repent. Repent. What's the meaning of repent? Stop doing it. I can't hear you.

[7:11] Stop doing it. Louder. Stop doing it. That's repent. You want to find relevance with God, repent. I have a problem with people who want to do church and you don't want to repent.

[7:22] You're a hypocrite. You're a hypocrite. That's the definition of a hypocrite. Someone who wants to have God and the world together. That's a hypocrite.

[7:37] I know some of you have stock cards and credit cards you don't want to pay. You want to have the goods, but you don't want to lose money. It doesn't work. Life doesn't work.

[7:48] You will never be free. You will never be free. You will spoil your credit history. And every creditor will be afraid of you. Sorry.

[8:00] Lender. Yeah. Every lender will be afraid. They don't want to lend you. They don't want to give you any credit. Because that's why they check your credit history. How you handle. Because you can't have the two together.

[8:13] Those of you who have credit card, you spend it, you pay. You spend it, you pay. Overdraft. You use it and you top it up. You use it and you put it back.

[8:24] You use it and you put it back. You use it and you put it back. Some years ago, my address was overdraft. Number one overdraft road. I only was operating within the overdraft.

[8:37] Because I didn't have money coming. But times will change for you. I know I'm talking to somebody. Try as much as possible to stay away from credit when you know you struggle to pay.

[8:52] Or you can't pay if you can't afford it anyway. So there's no need you buy hair. Or you buy shoe on credit. That means you can't pay for it. It's not for those things.

[9:05] Anyway. So. So. You can't have the two together. Repentance go before relationship with God.

[9:18] You want to have a relationship with God. But you also want to keep all your relationships. Even relationships. Toxic relationships.

[9:30] Sinful relationships. You want to keep those relationships because of what you get from it. You can't have the two. Some of us, our hands are too full for God to put anything in your hands.

[9:43] Amen. So. So. You either are taking a stand with God.

[9:55] Or you are taking a stand with the world or the devil. Peter. Men and brethren. What shall we do? Start with repentance. That's the starting point. If you don't repent.

[10:07] You are not ready for God. Oh my. You know me. This church thing. I'm not really sure if I want to do it. I'm not really sure if I want to do it. You know. You know.

[10:17] I love my girl. I'm alive man. Are you sure? Are you sure? You are not a happy person. You know. You like the fun.

[10:29] But you are still sad. You are not happy. You are having a lot of fun. But you are still not happy. You are having fun.

[10:40] But you are empty. On the inside. People don't know it. They look at how you look well put together. They think you're cool. But you're not cool.

[10:51] You are empty. You are empty. You are looking for something. You know something is missing. Oh yes. So it's important to understand.

[11:05] that there is always a commission behind every mission. It's important. Always a commission behind every mission.

[11:19] So Peter told them that repent and repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

[11:35] Now this side was this what the people wanted. And he told them the gift of the Holy Spirit is unto you and to your children. Not only you. But people after you is unto them.

[11:46] And not only that and to as far to the ends of the world as many as the Lord will call. All of us are included. The gift of the Holy Spirit. Right. Then Bible says with many other words.

[11:59] So it's only one not only one thing he was talking about. With many other words he testified exalting them saying be saved from this perverse generation.

[12:11] In fact we this generation need to hear this more. Be saved. That's why I feel sorry for parents who will not encourage their children to do church.

[12:22] And only steady, steady. You are raising a clever devil. Because it's a perverse generation things that people can do which their mothers don't know.

[12:36] Things that people can do and their fathers don't know. Things that your friends can introduce you to. At your age the things that you can be introduced to.

[12:47] Perverse generation. Perverse generation. Being well educated doesn't mean you are well informed. or well defended.

[13:03] Praise people should if I were people I would raise to church. Because no church saves you. Yes. Church. Huh. Some of you who don't know church has done us good.

[13:18] You think you are smart. No one will tell me what to do. You are not smart. It's just your phone that is smart. And your TV. And your watch.

[13:31] Your watch is smart. All the smartness have been put in the gadgets. Anyway he said be saved. Say be saved. Be saved. Saved from what?

[13:42] Not the wrath of God. Not not hell. This perverse generation it takes a lot of many other ways. many other ways the Bible didn't record because it wasn't worth it.

[13:57] Like I've been preaching for about 40 minutes now and the quotations I've quoted will occupy about 15 minutes and the explanation of the quotations may take about 10 minutes.

[14:10] The rest of the 25 minutes because of some of you I spent about 20 minutes talking about fornication. 20 minutes explaining fornication and what it can do to you.

[14:21] That was not my message but with many other words with many other words and it's not like I don't have anything to say but with many other words that's why those ones were not recorded because it wasn't part of the main message but you need those words to save people from a perverse generation.

[14:44] With many other words he exalted them saying be saved from this perverse generation and that day about about 3,000 souls were added to the church and that's where my message starts but where the message starts is easy to end there.

[15:07] So 3,000 souls were added to the church but you would think that would be the end of the story. That wasn't the end of the story. Being in church is not there.

[15:17] We are crying for revival. I feel fire. That's good. That's the start. But verse 42 tells us what will determine the future of what we are doing.

[15:30] Bible says that and the continued steadfast say continue. How are we supposed to continue? How are we supposed to continue? What are we supposed to do?

[15:42] Continue. How are we supposed to continue? What are we supposed to do? How are we supposed to do? But the key thing, the key word there is continue steadfastly in the apostles.

[15:57] Say apostles. Apostles. The people who are leading the revival, they have to put in systems so that after you have the feelings, there's some form, there's a commission.

[16:14] Ah. Jesus called them to give them an assignment, but they needed to wait. And they don't have to rush ahead, wait, but you have to be assigned to a job.

[16:27] There must be something you are doing. You can't just say, I love God, I love God, and I'd like to go to church and pray. Is that all? One day you are supposed to be the preacher, but not now.

[16:42] You are finished, you've started working, but how do I know you are going to be the preacher? Start making yourself available to be assigned with a job and do it well. Continue steadfastly.

[16:54] Maybe it's new bridge. Maybe it's KOC. Maybe it's some departmental, serving in the department, self-rightfully become a leader. That is the only way that shows that what you are doing is authentic.

[17:06] all this, he's moving in this place. I said, Welsh revival, it lasted for only two years because the people who were streaming into it didn't continue.

[17:17] There must be a system. So some of you have to be ready. We have to begin to give you assignments with the commission, commission. There's a commission. There's a commission coming. You have to put yourself, make yourself available that I'm ready.

[17:34] And especially now that the revival is building up, people must be willing and ready, assign me, give me a job to do. The people who want the job on the stage are the ones God will keep behind the stage.

[17:49] God never puts you on the stage when the stage is your focus. Because when the stage is your focus, you cannot be trusted. trusted. But when God and the progress of his work is your focus, you can be trusted with a big stage and the stage will not get into your heart.

[18:09] When God is your focus, that means that no work for God is too much. You don't place your convenience ahead of it. You don't place your image, your reputation, and how you feel, people think about you.

[18:24] You are coming here, you can preach, you've brought 20 people to church, and yet you come and you are still serving faithfully. I'll just give you a seat. You are happy, you sit down, you get up, you get up. Meanwhile, you have a record album, you can even sing better, but you are not rushing yourself, you are waiting.

[18:40] Jesus said, wait, wait, wait, don't make yourself a champion without being assigned. In the kingdom, there's a man in the Bible, his name is Ahimaz.

[18:55] When Absalom died, Ahimaz was the one who always usually would take message from the battlefield, those guys didn't have telephone, neither did they have emails, so there's somebody who must leave the battlefield and go to the palace and report to the king what is happening.

[19:13] And so the soldiers were fighting and Absalom died and Ahimaz said, I have to go and give their message. But the captain told Ahimaz, no, stand aside. Today you are not sending the message.

[19:26] Cush is going to send the message. Ahimaz said, I'm going to go anyway. And Joab said to him, you shall not take the news. Oh, verse 20, you shall not take the news this day, for you shall take the news another day.

[19:42] But today you shall take no news because the king's son is dead. Verse 21, then Joab said to Cushite, go, tell the king what you have seen.

[19:55] So Cushite bowed himself to Joab and ran. But look at verse 22, Ahimaz, the son of Zadok, said again to Joab, but whatever happens, please let me also run after Cushite.

[20:10] So Joab said, why will you run, my son, since you have no news ready? You don't have a commission, you don't have a message. Why do you want to run? Why do you want everybody to see you?

[20:22] Everything is about you. It's about commission, not about you. He said, I want to go. And so Joab said, no, you don't have a message. Verse 23, but whatever happens, he said, let me run.

[20:37] So he said, well, run. Look at what happened. Look at what happened. Then Ahiman ran by the way of the plague because he knew the path. His father was a pastor.

[20:48] So he knew how to shout hallelujah and lead praise and worship and profess to other people when he's not working with God. He has been in church all the time.

[20:59] So he's familiar with this church antics and church gimmicks and church style. And when he shouts hallelujah, he shouts it better because you haven't been in church long enough. Before you came, you were sleeping around.

[21:11] But he's been in church even though he's also sleeping out. But he's familiar with this Christianese, the church language, the church antics. You've been coming for a long time, so you're familiar.

[21:23] But you don't have the message. You don't have the mandate. You are familiar with the terrain, but you don't have the mandate. So Aimas ran by the plane and outrun Kushite.

[21:36] Because Kushite is the first time he didn't know the best routes. Aimas had ways. Yeah, he was using ways.

[21:48] He was using ways. Ways told him where all the traffics were. while Kushite was caught in the traffic. He was still using TomTom. Or, you know, the sad nap that is in the car.

[22:01] The original. No one uses it. I don't know why they keep putting it. The original car sad nap. Some people don't know about A to Z here.

[22:13] How many of you know about A to Z? The way I used to like it. Yeah, because it's mathematical. So, verse 24. Look at verse 24. Now, David was sitting between the two gates.

[22:26] And the watchman went up to the roof over the gate, to the wall, lifted his eyes and looked. And there was a man running along. So, then the watchman cried out and told the king.

[22:39] And the king said, if he's alone, there is news in his mouth. If he came rapidly and drew near, then the watchman the watchman saw another man running.

[22:53] And the watchman called the gatekeeper and said, there's another man running alone. And the king said, he also brings news. The next verse.

[23:04] So, the watchman said, I think the running of the first is like the running of Ahimas, the son of Zadok. And the king said, he's a good man and he comes with good news.

[23:16] Because he always takes good news. But they told him this time, the king's son is dead. We needed someone else who knows how to communicate bad news to the king so that it doesn't look bad enough.

[23:32] So, Ahimas called out and said to the king, all is well. Then he bowed down his face to the head before the king and said, blessed be the Lord God who has delivered up the man who raised their hands against my lord the king.

[23:50] The next verse, the king said, is the young man Absalom safe? Ahimas answered, when you have sent the king's servant and me your servant, I saw a great turmoil but I did not know what it is about.

[24:06] They said, stand aside. And the king said, turn aside and stand there. And so he turned aside. You don't have a message. You'll be dispreferred. Stand as.

[24:18] You don't want heaven. You are trying to do something on the stage but heaven said, stand aside. You don't have a mandate. Jesus said, wait. Wait in Jerusalem until you have the mandate from the Holy Ghost.

[24:34] Look at the next verse. Then Cushite came and Cushite said, there is good news, my lord the king. For the lord has avenged you this day of all those who rose against you.

[24:50] And the king said to Cushite, is the young man Absalom safe? So Cushite answered, may the enemies of my lord the king and all who rise against you to do harm be like the young man.

[25:05] It is that he said he feared it. He implied it, implied speech. You can't just tell the king your son is dead. You are the one to be killed. They will kill you right away.

[25:18] Cushite brought the news and they told Aima, stand aside. Turn aside. Stand there. Stand there. You don't have a message. He ran without a message. That's what I'm trying to tell you.

[25:32] Two things that I want you to know. You have to continue. Knowing your own things. Some of us, the way you've been doing your things for the past whenever, is the way you do your things.

[25:45] Even when you come to church, they say, sit down, I don't like that. I like that. They say, why don't you do it well for Jesus? Oh, no, I'll do it in my own time.

[25:57] I, him, asked, thought that I know what to do. I know what to do. I know. He said, let me go. He said, but you don't have a message. You can go. I still want to go because I know what to do. And he went and they didn't give you space.

[26:11] He didn't get it. So the point here is that two things, please listen to me. Two things I'm talking about. Number one, when there is revival and God, if you have genuinely repented, the immediate thing you have to do is to look for, ask.

[26:24] They say, what shall we do? Ask what to do. And look for what systems the apostolic authorities within the jurisdiction you are operating.

[26:35] What apostolic systems based on the commission they have, they put in place, there's a path you have to follow. You can't be using your material to do your own thing.

[26:47] This material is based on this commission. It's a mandate for this commission. Do you understand that? It doesn't produce the kind of Christians here elsewhere.

[26:58] There may be a different system to produce them somewhere. but if you want to produce this kind of Christians here, you need this kind of mandate. Am I preaching at all? So, if you are having a heart for God, it must always be within a certain crucible of a commission.

[27:18] A commissioner or crucible is within a portal. There's a portal. A portal that God opens for every passion within a certain commission.

[27:31] That's how people start and they never last. You see, when somebody is on fire, it feels like floating in the air, and afterwards, wind has blown them away, and they are gone because they will line up with the apostolic pattern.

[27:47] Pattern. Follow the pattern. But not just follow the pattern. You must have a desire that me have to be used. You must have a desire. God doesn't use people who are not interested.

[28:00] No! It's a fetish spirit that makes you do what you don't want to do. God is not fetish. God calls you and says, yes, Lord, I can use you.

[28:11] If you are not interested, God cannot use you. And if you are interested, you will pay a price for it. Yeah! How can you be given a good university give you an award you, PhD?

[28:29] When you are not interested in studying, you just can't be bothered about the course. And then at the end of the course, when they are given, people are graduating. Why would they have a PhD?

[28:39] And you are not interested? I don't even know whether I should do it. They don't have time. When you want to enter into Oxford, some of you go to Oxford. Some of you go to Cambridge. And some of you go to the best universities.

[28:51] But most of those top universities, you can't just enter. Sometimes you even have to go for interview and write some special exams. Yeah. You have to write special exams.

[29:02] In the same way, when it comes to the work of God, you don't get that God say, okay, I know you don't like the work of God, but take it. He will spoil the work of God. He won't give it to you because it places value on his work. So, number one, you must know that there's an apostolic pattern.

[29:16] Number two, you must have a desire. Some of you say, you have to desire that you'll be a pastor. Religious people say, but what if God hasn't called you?

[29:27] What if God have it? You won't even have that desire. You won't have that desire, you find it repulsive. But some of you, you know, you have this prompting, you have this gut feelings that one day I'll do God's work.

[29:40] even when you are not a believer, you have this thing that you do something for God. It is the eternity in your heart that will speak it. Eternity in your heart will speak it.

[29:53] That's my message for today. Because the way there's so much potential on you, if I don't help you to wait, desire, and line up, you will miss destiny.

[30:06] You will miss destiny. If someone gets in something, I have good news for you. You will not fail. You will not fail.

[30:18] In Jesus' name. Did you receive something? Somebody give Jesus. Give Jesus praise.
