[2:15] Ephesians chapter 1.
[2:45] God鼻board. Amen. Amen. Amen. Well, last week we spoke about the hope of our calling.
[3:01] The hope of His calling, the calling that He gave us comes with a hope. So, picking it from the original place we started, the Bible says that, I pray for you that God will grant you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that ye may know.
[3:35] Let's all say that together. Say it again. Say it for the last time. So, he said, the apostle said, I am praying for you so that God will give you the spirit of revelation, wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him so that the eyes, when this spirit of wisdom and revelation is granted us, the eyes of our understanding will be enlightened.
[4:15] It will be cleared. The eyes of our understanding be enlightened. then when that happens, you will end up, you can't, or you can't know.
[4:27] You can know the hope of his calling. Number one. Number two, you will know what the riches of the glory of his inheritance inheritance in the saints.
[4:43] What the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. So, we saw that our eyes, the eyes of our understanding must be enlightened, that we will know the hope of his calling.
[4:59] The second thing that we should know is what the riches, say the riches. Say it again, please. The riches. The riches.
[5:09] Say it again. Say it again, the riches. The riches. So, there are riches that you don't know of. And I'm praying that you will know the riches.
[5:25] The riches. You will know the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
[5:40] Give us New King James. That you will know what is the hope of his calling. What are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
[5:58] NIV, English Standard Version, New American Standard Version, New Living Translation, Message Bible, and then Amplified.
[6:10] I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.
[6:27] English Standard Version. What are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints?
[6:39] I need you to take, that's how I study my Bible. Sometimes, before I go to commentaries and other things, I just want to see how I understand what's up. Now, you can understand it fully with King James.
[6:52] Why? King James English is not the normal English we speak. You don't say, He cometh. He goeth. All right. It's not a normal English, so it's an old English.
[7:06] Sometimes, the way they will put the words and the phrase may not be so obvious what they're trying to say. So, Pastor, why do we even have to use King James?
[7:16] That's why I used to use the New King James a lot of the time. The New King James, you don't have D and the Dals. You have it a bit clearer.
[7:29] But why don't you use something that is very simple? Sometimes, the attempt to make it simple ends up making it simplistic. So, sometimes, the King James, usually, the way it was translated, tends to be a bit, some people differ, but tends to be a bit more accurate, closer to the original manuscript.
[7:54] So then, this is the Bible. It's the Word of God. It does not have errors in its original manuscript.
[8:07] So, one day, if you become a translator and you decide to translate it to a certain language, you can make a mistake in the translation, maybe one phrase. Then someone says, the Word of God, it doesn't have error.
[8:20] But later, when they look, no, it doesn't really say it. So, in the original, that's why we have different English translations. Usually, the translations are not an exercise based on feelings.
[8:38] I feel God is a good one. So, no, no, no, no. It's more of an academic exercise. So, like, you use Google translation. It's not based on... When you ask Google, who is the founder of Hinduism, you will say, I don't do Hinduism.
[8:54] You know, this is just information. So, the translations, most of it is pure academics. And they have to tick all the boxes of the principles of accurate translation.
[9:10] So, you can't be a translator or an authentic translator, accepted, credible translator, if you violate the principles of translation.
[9:23] Did you understand that? So, most of the translators maintain the principles. It's more like an academic exercise than just religious exercise.
[9:34] Are you getting what I'm saying? So, then why are there different translations? It's just that somebody translates it this way, and the text says, makes a statement. You can translate it not to change the meaning, but to put it in a different way.
[9:48] Somebody said, I'm trying to say something like I've been used as an illustration. This morning, when I woke up, I was feeling hungry.
[10:08] Somebody can put it another way. I was feeling hungry this morning, right from bed. It's the same thing. But this one said, right from, depends on how you understand your communication.
[10:23] Some people would say, right from bed. I would say, in the morning. So, sometimes they say, Adam knew his wife. You won't see in the Bible, they use Adam had sex with his wife. And that's what it means.
[10:36] In the original, the original uses he knew his wife. So, it's always good to maintain the, if he said, and Adam knew his wife, it can mean Adam had relations with his wife.
[10:51] But the original didn't say had relations. So, it's better you use, he said he knew. So, it's better you use Adam got to know. You know something like that. So, when it comes to translation, it's very technical.
[11:03] I have to stay true to that. But just that different translations might say it in a way that might make the word jump out. Now, there is a difference between versions and translations.
[11:20] So, you see, NIV is New International Version. KJV is not Kujovi.
[11:33] NKJV. King James Version. N-K-J-V.
[11:44] King James Version. Now, and then we have the N-A-S-B. New American Standard Bible.
[11:56] But it's a version, not a translation. And we have the N-L-T. N-L-T. N-L-T. It's not a version. In fact, the other one, it said message.
[12:10] It didn't even tell you. When you see they put translation there, and when you see they put translation, it means, for instance, I'm reading your letter and I'm translating it into my own style.
[12:29] So, I may change a lot of the words you used. Translation changes the word try and maintain the same meaning by using different words. That would be very, so later, when you dig into the words they use, it can even mean something else.
[12:42] But the idea, the reason is the same. Do you understand? So, that's why I hardly use translations. I only use the translations when I'm trying to make, see how they put it.
[12:55] so maybe to, it's to make their meaning and trying to, um, bring across, jump out louder. But it, I don't, you can't use translation for Bible studies. If you use translation, it's been watered down.
[13:11] It's been watered down in a way that may lose its original, strong, pure meaning. because, Jesus said, unless heaven and earth passes away, not a jot or a titum or titum.
[13:31] Matthew 5, right? Okay, 18. For, till heaven and earth pass, not, one jot or one titum shall in no wise pass from the law.
[13:49] Do you know what, what that means? Till it all be fulfilled. Do you know what a jot is? Like the, apostrophe or the dot on the I.
[14:03] That is equally a word of God. Let alone the word. Even the dot or the apostrophe and titum is, is it lowercase L and lowercase T?
[14:19] What's the difference? That's a titum. He said, not even that is without significance. That's how authentic the word of God is.
[14:32] Okay, he says that heaven and earth is no smallest letter, no, least stroke of a pen. You know, the stroke of, it can't, it can't go missing because it's part of God's word.
[14:46] That's how serious it is. Sometimes you see that the Greek word that was translated is this and that we can go into the, because the Greek language is so rich.
[14:57] It's far richer than English language. See, even richer than Latin. The Jew, the Hebrew and the Greek is so rich. there are some words that you, that were used.
[15:07] You won't get the corresponding or equivalent word in English. So you have to look for the closest phrase that will capture that word. So sometimes, for instance, for instance, um, para, I've been saying this, paragrapha, theonupsis is one word.
[15:30] Okay. Theonupsis, paragrapha. Grapha is graph. Okay. Graphic. Graphics.
[15:42] Has to do with writings. So graph. Most of the English words came from Latin, Greek, or French and some of it German. So, paragrapha.
[15:56] Para means all. All. all of the writings. But writings is, in that context, is scripture.
[16:08] Scripture, to scribble something. Script, script, you know, you get, you get scripture from scripts. You get scripture from scribbling. All has to do with writing.
[16:19] Grapha. So, all the scripture, theonupsis, God, theonupsis, his breath, so you see, only a few words.
[16:32] Paragrapha, theonupsis, I'm talking about 2 Timothy 3, verse 16, but when they translated it in the English, 2 Timothy 3, verse 16, says, all scripture is given by the inspiration of God.
[16:46] That bit. Paragrapha, theonupsis. So, you see, sometimes they will have to use more words to capture one word. Do you understand that?
[16:57] So, when we are asking for different translations or different versions, it's just trying to, there's a meaning in the word. For instance, if you read it just in King James, you may miss the meaning because sometimes King James is kind of, it comes across like it's not straightforward.
[17:14] Why? Because the language is very archaic. Archaic language, for instance, I keep saying this, and Bible said that in Genesis chapter, I think, 25 or 27, Esau came from the field and he was hungry.
[17:33] And then Jacob sought potage. You see, what does it mean to sort potage? If you just use King James to read it, you understand.
[17:46] Jacob sought potage. What kind of language is that? Go and tell your mom, I'm sorting potage. What's that mean?
[17:57] Your friend calls you, what do I do? I'm sorting potage. Give us the new international NIV. What was he doing? So, you see, it's the same.
[18:15] But if you just stay with King James, you might not even understand it. But you are doing your reading, so you just go through. So, if you are doing Bible studies, you can't be a serious Bible student without other versions. You need your King James, you need your new King James, you need your NIV.
[18:33] While NIV is not too far, it's very good text, English is easier to understand. Pastor, why have you been quoting NASB, New American Standard Version, and English Standard Version?
[18:47] In my growth and my research, I found that NASB, a new English version, those are much closer to the original in the capturing of the message, what it was said.
[19:04] That's why sometimes when I'm trying to say something quite strong, I want to see, let's see how NSB says it, because that might be a bit closer. What are the riches of the glory of his inheritance?
[19:17] They say, you realize it's not different? But we'll go to the other versions, let's find out what the other version is, how they put it. English Standard Version. English Standard Version.
[19:31] What are the riches of his glorious inheritance? The other one says that what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance? Go back to the other version, any of the other previous versions.
[19:46] What are the riches of the glory of his inheritance? English Standard Version say, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance? The glory of his inheritance and the glorious inheritance?
[19:59] Not quite different. Practically the same. But it depends. They can be slightly different. I will explain. Now let's go to the translations.
[20:13] New Living Translation. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light. I like that. That sounds nicer. You see? Your heart is flooded. Flat lights. You know flat lights?
[20:28] The stadium. It's late in the night but they can play without missing the ball. Your light will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called.
[20:44] Not only that. You can understand to those he called. His holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
[20:56] That's an interesting one. This is trying to say that the people are God's inheritance. But what type of inheritance? Rich and glorious inheritance.
[21:10] Is it true from the other versions? We are going to look at it. Now when you are going to message you have to tread cautiously. because it might say something nicer than you thought or sometimes it will throw you off question.
[21:25] No, no. This is what I want to see. Your eyes focus and clear so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to.
[21:37] See, he didn't use the word understanding. He didn't say that the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened. He says that your eyes will be focused and clear. It can apply to anybody. clear focus clear eyes that you can see exactly what he's called you to.
[21:57] Grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians. God has glorious way of life for Christians.
[22:12] Glorious way of life for Christians. And you have to see to a certain extent it's true. But really that's not what he's saying. He's saying to grasp the immensity I like that.
[22:28] The immensity is a good one. The immensity of this glorious way of life. He has called he asked for Christians so he has a glorious way of life.
[22:42] Now let's go back to the New King James. what are the riches of the King James is similar from what we read to New American Standard Version.
[22:57] Alright. What are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the sin?
[23:08] Now who understands this one? This is when you're reading your Bible it's mouthful. It takes so you see why people will just settle on the message?
[23:19] It's straightforward. It's clear. It just gives you focus. It gives your eyes focused and clear so you can see exactly what this is trying to say.
[23:30] the first time I read it I was trying to understand it. That's how I study my Bible. I take my time. Most of you have been doing is you just read it.
[23:42] I have to understand what what's the meaning of this? It doesn't make sense. No no no no I need to understand. What is he trying to say? So I will do this. What are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
[24:02] Not our inheritance in him. So he's not pointing to your inheritance but he's pointing to his inheritance. Oh God has inheritance in you in the saints.
[24:21] Something that he is supposed to is like it's God's heritage. That's God's. This is mine. It's there. It's his inheritance.
[24:32] It's different if you talk about the inheritance in the saints or of the saints. This is not inheritance of the saints but inheritance in saints. Oh and then he says that this inheritance in the saints is rich in glory.
[25:01] So you carry as ordinary as you are you carry this heavenly investment which is heavy weight the investment heaven has in you is rich not rich in mineral resources.
[25:20] Congo is rich with mineral resources.
[25:33] Once upon a time the actual name in the colonial era of Ghana was gold coast. What does it tell you? Everywhere you pass there's gold.
[25:46] Ghana was rich in gold and still they have it. When heaven looks at you God has an inheritance in you.
[25:57] God has an inheritance in you. And he says that the kind of inheritance God has in you the inheritance is glorious inheritance. It's full of glory.
[26:08] Say full of glory. Say full of glory. What is glory? The expression of the beauty of God. And the inheritance in you if it's given the opportunity the way it will express the beauty of God.
[26:25] The way what is in you when you are born again. The way it will express the beauty of God. And it is not only glorious but but it rich in glory.
[26:38] The inheritance God's inheritance in you is rich in glory. How can a human man comprehend? He said I'm praying for you. That you will know.
[26:50] Ah. When you know the riches of the glories or the glory of his inheritance amongst our inheritance in us with the saints.
[27:03] No one will intimidate you. Somebody one day came and said to me I want to ask you a question pastor. Why is it that Christians are poor?
[27:16] Some of you have asked that question before. Why is it that Christians fail their exam? Is it only Christians who fail?
[27:29] Others also fail. What determines who passes exam? Not prayer. Steady. Okay. And understanding the subject matter. So you pray that God will help you to understand.
[27:43] So you can steady. Or pray for God to give you discipline to sit down and steady. You are not praying God let me pass the exam. How? Everybody pray God give me money.
[27:56] Give me money. How? God says sorry I don't cut money. I don't manufacture. Money is not from heaven. It doesn't come from heaven. That's why he said God's riches he didn't say rich in money.
[28:09] Oh okay. Let me jump in show you a scripture. Philippians chapter 4 verse 19. It says and my God shall supply all your needs.
[28:24] How? According to what? His riches in money. His riches in pounds. That's what he was many people that's what they hear.
[28:37] Oh God is rich. God doesn't have pounds. God doesn't have dollars. God doesn't have quacha. God doesn't have it.
[28:52] He doesn't have it. He doesn't have euros. What does he have? Glory. That was your glory. But my life here I want to see money.
[29:04] You two are talking about glory. when the glory comes. Somebody shout hallelujah. When you have the glory of God things work for you.
[29:20] You don't invest one pound and get back one pound or 50p. Or lose on. When the glory is on you, you put one pound in and a thousand is coming.
[29:33] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. someone shout glory. Glory. Glory. The louder he shout, the more glorious. Glory. If there is anything you should believe God for, it's that, oh God, glorify your name in my life.
[29:53] Whenever I go, let your glory show on my life. When glory is on the glory of God manifest on your life, people don't see false with you.
[30:05] Even when you make a mistake, they think it's a new style. Oh, yeah. Oh, yes. Haven't you seen how very super wealthy people when they wear shorts, people, everybody will start wearing shorts because they think it's a style.
[30:22] When there's glory on your life, people can look at you and maltreat you. When there's glory on your life, people fight to defend you when they didn't even know you.
[30:33] Oh, yes, glory. And the Bible says that the inheritance God has in you, that inheritance is rich in glory.
[30:51] You see, you are backsliding because you don't know how rich the inheritance of God is in glory all your life. You don't know how much glory you are carrying.
[31:03] Many years ago, I had a story of a man in America. He sold his land because he was struggling. He wanted to go and get, move to somewhere else for money.
[31:16] And his, his father left him a huge land. But he said, what am I doing with this land? He sold it and relocated somewhere. A few years later, a few years later, the ones who bought it, they discovered that there was gold in the land.
[31:29] They became below nets. He was sitting on gold, but he didn't know. And he took it for granted. There are people here, you are sitting on gold.
[31:43] Glory is better than gold, actually. Rich in glory. It's not like basic glory. Even basic, if you get basic glory, basic glory, ah, you are a celebrity.
[31:57] Spiritually, you are a celebrity because of the glory you carry. Wherever you go, things work. Is it not, did it not happen for Joseph? They put him in prison. Prison is working. They put him in persifers house.
[32:08] The house is working. He gets to Egypt. Egypt became blessed because a man of glory has arrived. You buy the slave and you bought glory.
[32:21] In Genesis chapter 30, verse 31 and 32 or so, he said to Jacob that, I have learned by experience that God has blessed me because of you. What?
[32:33] He said, my cattle, it was little. And Joseph said, your cattle was little when I came, but when I came, it has multiplied because of me. Yes. 30, verse 27. And labor said, please stay.
[32:45] I have, if I found favor, this is his employer. His employer said, if I found favor with you in your eyes, don't go. For I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake.
[32:58] Listen. If you want to make friends, run away from a cursed person. Because if you associate with their curse, you will be cursed. God told Abraham, I will bless those who bless you and me God.
[33:13] Genesis chapter 12, verse 1, verse 2 and 3, or verse 3 actually. He said, I will bless those who bless you and I, God, when they curse you, you don't respond.
[33:24] Me, myself, I'll respond. Anyone who blesses you, don't say anything. Me, myself, I'll respond. He said, I have learned by experience that God has blessed me because of you, for your sake.
[33:35] How? Go to the next verse. Verse 28. Genesis chapter 30, verse 28. He said, name your, tell me your salary, I'll pay it.
[33:48] Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, tell me, name your wages, I will give it to you. Let's look at how the message was set.
[33:59] He went on, so name your wages, I'll pay it. The same thing. New living translation. He didn't have anything new to say. New living translation. Tell me how much I owe you.
[34:10] Whatever it is, I'll pay it. Wow! Wow! First Peter chapter 4, it talks about how God has called us into glory.
[34:27] Yes. He has called us into glory. This walk with Christ is a glorious walk. Chapter 5, verse 10. But may the God of all grace, who called us to his eternal glory.
[34:43] Wow! Wow! Someone say, wow! Wow! He called us to his eternal glory. First Corinthians chapter 2.
[34:55] He said, how we speak wisdom among those who are matured? From verse 6. First Corinthians chapter 2. However, we speak wisdom among those who are matured, not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to another.
[35:11] But look at that. Verse 7. Verse 7. He said, but we speak wisdom, the wisdom of God in the mystery. The hidden wisdom of God ordained before the ages for our glory.
[35:25] Romans chapter 8, verse 29, says that, for who he did know, for know, he also predestined to be conformed into the image of his son.
[35:35] That will be the first one. Verse 20. The next verse, verse 30. For those he predestined, those also he called. Those he called, those he justified. And to whom he justified?
[35:49] What's the end? Our final destination is glory. But it starts with a calling. You remember last week, the hope of your calling has to do with glory.
[36:06] It starts with a calling. There are several scriptures, verses in scriptures that I can show how the New Testament believer has been destined for glory.
[36:19] Destined for glory. First Peter, we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, called forth to show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
[36:35] Verse 10. Into his marvelous light. Who once were not a people but are now a people of God? Who had not obtained mercy but are now have obtained mercy?
[36:46] Verse 11. Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims abstain from fleshly lusts and fleshly lusts which war against your soul.
[37:00] Let's look at verse 12. The inheritance. Verse 12 says, having your conducts honorable amongst the Gentiles that when they speak evil of you as evil doers, they may by your good works which they observe glorify God in the day of visitation.
[37:18] you see, they look at your works or they look at your life and they begin to ascribe glory to God. Oh God, your works are too beautiful.
[37:30] They were criticizing you but there's something about you that forces them to recognize that God is a God of glory. So he says that I am praying for you that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened, that you know the hope of his calling and you know the riches, say riches.
[37:47] Say it again. Say it louder. Riches. Ephesians chapter 3 verse 8. He says that I am, to me who am less than the least of the saints is this grace given that I will preach the unsearchable among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
[38:09] It didn't I read earlier on Philippians chapter 4 verse 19 that my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches. They are riches.
[38:20] Riches of Christ. Riches in Christ. Not talking about just material wealth but things that are far beyond material wealth. Riches. Riches of Christ.
[38:32] Ephesians chapter 1 verse 7 and Ephesians chapter 2 verse 7. Ephesians 1 verse 7 says in whom we have obtained that we have redemption through his blood the forgiveness of sins according to what?
[38:48] The riches of his grace. Riches of his grace. That means that this grace that God is bringing on your life has multifarious dimensions to it.
[39:03] It's not a simple grace. You can't be born again and walk in this grace. because when you are born again you have been introduced into this riches of grace.
[39:17] What grace can do? Vary aspects of the things that grace can do in your life. Chapter 2 verse 7 of Ephesians it talks about that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding worth riches of his grace.
[39:33] Say riches. Say riches. Riches. God is rich in glory. Now to come back to where we started he said my prayer for you is that you know the hope of his calling and the riches of the glory of his inheritance.
[40:02] The riches of the glory of his inheritance. The riches of the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
[40:16] So this is how you understand it. He has inheritance in the saints. So that is very interesting how the New Living Translation put it. Let's look at it.
[40:28] The New Living Translation. His holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. So the people are his rich inheritance.
[40:41] That's a very good way they rendered it. The people so we it's not like see I will explain something before I finish but number one what I want you to understand from the text is we are God's inheritance.
[40:56] inheritance. Please don't let any boy or girl man or woman male or female employed or unemployed don't let anyone make you feel less of yourself if you are in Christ.
[41:17] If you are in Christ listen you are God's inheritance. You are God's special treasure. It is not a tie that makes him the treasure.
[41:31] So you may not have even money. You may not have shoe. You may not have a house. You may not have something but if you are in Christ you are God's rich inheritance.
[41:44] You are God's rich inheritance. From this day always if you are born again in Christ you have to walk with your shoulders up. With your shoulders up. I am God's inheritance and not honor inheritance rich in glory.
[42:00] Rich in glory. Say I'm God's inheritance. Rich in glory. I'm God's inheritance. Rich in glory.
[42:13] When somebody asks you how are you, I'm God's inheritance rich in glory. How are you? being struggling in your body.
[42:38] You just failed an exam. He just lost a job. You just lost a job. You are going to be feeling well in your body.
[42:51] You just lost a loved one. But you don't have a job. You don't have a car.
[43:04] Are you sure? But you don't have a house. Are you sure? But you don't have a qualification. Are you sure? But you don't have a liking on social media.
[43:15] Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure? Somebody show glory! Somebody show glory!
[43:26] Somebody show glory! When you tell somebody, I'm God's inheritance rich in glory, they may laugh. Why? Because it takes the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
[43:42] Your eyes, the eyes of your understanding, being enlightened. That's what it takes to be able to know who you are in Christ. I am God's inheritance rich in glory. I am God's inheritance rich in glory.
[43:54] I am God's inheritance rich in glory. I am God's inheritance rich in glory! I am God's inheritance rich in glory! Somebody shout your loudness, hallelujah!
[44:15] The glory begins to show. The glorious of his inheritance in the saints. This text doesn't only mean God's inheritance in you.
[44:30] It also means what we have in God. When you are born again, you are born again unto an inheritance. So in Acts chapter 20 verse 35, it says, I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and do it, give you an inheritance amongst the saints.
[44:56] Those who are satisfied, the same thing. God's rich inheritance in the saints. He said, the word of God gives you an inheritance among, you are partaker of whatever God will do gloriously.
[45:08] But what qualifies you to partake of the inheritance is the word of God that is coming to you. It's called the word of grace. The word of grace, it entitles you, it prepares you, it qualifies you, it polishes you to be a partaker of the inheritance.
[45:27] I see your life moving from glory to glory. Stop feeling sorry.
[45:41] Stop feeling sorry about your background. Your parents are not rich and so on. God didn't consult your parents to give that, to deposit that inheritance in you.
[45:53] He made an investment in your future, in your life. You look so ordinary, but you carry glory. I look so ordinary, but I carry glory.
[46:12] You have to understand this. And you have to pray that God help me to understand it more. Help me to understand and live my life in the light of it. Because sometimes you will not live your life in the light of it.
[46:24] That is why you are settling for cheap. You are settling for things that are below your standard. The prodigal son, eventually he was eating pig food.
[46:37] How? His father was one of the wealthiest and richest men in town. And he left home. And he went to blow all his inheritance.
[46:50] And he was living a righteous life. And his money got finished. And when the money got finished, now he was hungry. He went and got a job. He had to eat.
[47:02] Because when you are an immigrant, it's a different story altogether. Immigration poses all kinds of challenges. He went and hired himself.
[47:14] And now he was feeding pigs. He was feeding swine. But he couldn't have food to eat. He filled his stomach with the pores that the swine ate.
[47:26] And no one gave him anything. He says that, but when he came to himself, he said, How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough to spare?
[47:37] They eat and throw some away. They are hired servants. And I'm perishing with hunger. I'm going to go back home. I'm going to go back home and tell my father, Take me as a servant.
[47:53] Because this servant status here is worse than if I'm a servant, I'll have food enough to eat and spare some. He came to his senses. Prodigal son.
[48:04] He got up and came back home. Because when he came back home, dad said, Hey! When you are a son, you are always a son. It doesn't matter what you have been through and what you have done.
[48:15] We can't change your status. Your status is that you are a son. Your status is you are a son. Your status is you are a son. Your status is you are a son. How are you?
