[0:00] Hallelujah! Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2, our Christ-centred youth services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.

[0:14] May Jesus Christ reveal himself to you as you listen. Ephesians chapter 1 verse 15, Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and love unto all the saints, cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us, who believe according to the working of his mighty power, which he wroth in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above principalities and power, and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come, and has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.

[1:37] So, here ends the reading of God's holy word. Father, we pray that you will give us you, as your word is taught. Help us to be able to comprehend the things that the spirit is saying to the church, to be able to hear it and understand it and run with it.

[1:57] Give us strength and grace as we receive your word, to receive your purpose in our lives in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[2:08] Amen. So, three things that he prayed that we should know. Number one, we should know the hope of his calling. Number two, the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

[2:26] Number three, the power that, the exceeding greatness, not the power, sorry, the exceeding greatness of the power. So, it's more about the nature of the power than just the power.

[2:39] To be aware of this power has exceeding greatness. That's the kind of power you are dealing with. So, you know what we are dealing with. You remember that? It's always important to know the kind of power you are dealing with.

[2:52] So, that when someone says that I'm a voodoo man, you will see what I'll do to you. You can look at him and stare at him. It's rubbish.

[3:04] Why? Because there's, in 1 John chapter 4 verse 4, it's a greater is he who is in you than he that is in the world. When you're a Christian, no one should be able to intimidate you, especially on spiritual grounds.

[3:22] No! Spiritual grounds? No! Because when it comes to matters of the spirit, Ephesians chapter 1 verse 3, it says that, Blessed be God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with what kind of blessing?

[3:40] Every. So, they didn't leave some, we are not behind in any of them, when it comes to spiritual blessings. When it comes to matters of the spirit, we are always above and ahead. He's blessed us with every spiritual blessing, in heavenly places through Christ Jesus.

[3:57] Somebody say, I am blessed. I am blessed. With every spiritual blessing. With every spiritual blessing. In heavenly places. In heavenly places. In Christ.

[4:08] In Christ. He's unblessed. Learn not to say that to yourself every day. I am blessed. I am blessed. Confess it. Believe it. Confess it.

[4:19] Believe it. Confess it. Believe it. So, he said, I want you to know the nature of the power that works towards you who believe. So, it doesn't work towards everybody.

[4:30] It works towards, this power works towards those who believe. All right. Is there in your Bible? All right. All right. All right. Is there in your Bible? That you will know the power that works. King James says, As what?

[4:41] I prefer the as what? More than the new King James says towards you. The new King James. How did the new King James? The new King James put it. And what is the exceeding greatness of? His power towards us who believe.

[4:54] It's the same thing. But I prefer the as what? Because it sounds like northward. Southward. Eastward. So, it doesn't matter where you stay. The thing is always as what?

[5:05] Wherever I go, there's something working me world. Why? Because I believe. When I go under the sea, there's power. When I go in space, power working towards us. Wherever I stand, there's no more earthwards.

[5:16] There's no more northwards. Southward. It doesn't matter. I am the direction. My location is what determines where the power is working towards. When you believe.

[5:29] So, when you believe, your location is not as important. Your geographical location doesn't matter as much as your positioning in God. So, there was a time Jesus sent the disciples to go and work in the book of Luke chapter 10.

[5:47] And then the verse 17, Bible says that there were 70 of them sent. The 70 returned again with joy. Why were they joyful?

[5:57] Saying, Lord, even devils are subject to us through thy name. Wow! So, they go, they try, come out. Then the demons are coming out. They say, go, and demons go.

[6:08] They say, wow, this is amazing. And they had so much success, so much power at work. Everything, they were able to defeat any situation.

[6:22] They come back. Wow! They were excited. Jesus said, what is it? Is that Jesus? God, no, no, no, no, no. Even devils, devils were subject to us in your name.

[6:34] Jesus said, is that why you're excited? Don't be excited because of that. But that's not where the success starts from. Verse 18, and he said unto them, I beheld Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

[6:47] Satan is a falling creature. He's not a powerful creature. He has power over those who are not in God, those who are not in Christ. That's why you should be afraid of witches and voodoo and black magic.

[7:01] Ah! Black magic is paper tiger. For the believer in Christ. He said, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

[7:12] He used to be there. That tells you, that tells you, heaven is above, right? Because you don't fall from something below you. It fell.

[7:25] So it came from top. Satan fell from heaven like lightning. Within a short time. It didn't take long at all. Like lightning.

[7:41] They fell like lightning from heaven. Let's look at the next verse. Then he says that, Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power.

[7:55] Ah! So the enemy has power. Oh yeah? If you are not in Christ, his power will work. That's why addiction is working against you. Some of it is demonic powers.

[8:07] Some of it is demonic power. Some of it is demonic power. Some of it is demonic power. Some of it is demonic power. Some of it is demonic power. Demonic power. When you are not in Christ, you are not in control.

[8:19] You can't be in control of your life when you are not in Christ. This is how I put it. He said, in Romans chapter 6, verse 14, Sin shall no longer have dominion over you.

[8:33] Oh wow! It's interesting. So sin shall no longer have dominion over you. That means that sin used to have dominion over you. Something was dominating you.

[8:45] Something had power over you. It overpowered you. Yeah. You know ISIS. How many of you have heard about ISIS? Yeah, ISIS.

[8:57] They were creating another problem. When Americans and the British and the Europeans and the Allied forces came together, they crushed them. ISIS was run out of town.

[9:08] Why? Because the armies of the West had power over them. But when you go and you can't crush them and they are crushing you, that means you can't have power over you.

[9:20] They will have power over you. Didn't you say you will not do something again? And the things seem to have power over you. Sin has dominion over you.

[9:32] But the Bible says, sin shall no longer have dominion over you. Lift up your right hand please. Say sin. Sin. Shall no longer have.

[9:43] No longer have. Dominion over me. Dominion over me. Because I'm in Christ. Because I'm in Christ. And I'm under grace. Say it again. Sin shall no longer have dominion over me. Because I'm in Christ.

[9:55] And I'm under grace. Say it again. Say it again. For the last time. Sin shall no longer have dominion over me. Sin shall no longer have dominion over me. Because I'm in Christ. Because I'm in Christ. And I'm under grace. And I'm under grace. In Jesus name.

[10:06] Jesus name. Amen. Amen. So, sin shall no longer have dominion over you. When you are not in Christ.

[10:17] Something can control you. But when you are in Christ. He says thanks be to God. 1 Corinthians 15. 57. Who gives us the victory?

[10:31] So, you are not a loser. You are not a victim. You are a victor. Amen. And your victory doesn't come from your self-discipline. Where does it come from?

[10:42] He said God be thanked. Which giveth us the victory. The victory you operate in when you are in Christ. Is a donation.

[10:55] It's not an attainment. It's not an achievement. It's a donation. It's a gift. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory.

[11:10] Romans chapter 8 verse 37. Romans chapter 8 verse 37. It says that. Nay. In all these things. We are not just conquerors. We are more. Our status is about people who are just conquerors.

[11:22] We are more than conquerors. But this. This kind of language cannot be actualized or realized. In the absence of power that works towards us.

[11:34] So he said. I want you to be aware of the exceeding greatness of his power that works towards us. Or to us what?

[11:46] I like that to us what? To us what? Say to me what? To me what? Say it again. To me what? Say it again. To me what? Yes. It is. It works to us what?

[11:59] Who are the us? Those of us who believe. Say I'm a believer. I'm a believer. That's the power that's working for me. The power of God works towards me. The power of God works towards me.

[12:09] Come on. Let's say it again. Say I'm a believer. I'm a believer. So the power of God. The power of God. Works towards me. Not just the power of God. But the exceeding great power of God.

[12:20] Exceeding great power. Is working on my behalf. Is working for me. Is working towards me. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He said I want you to know.

[12:31] the nature of the power that works towards us, the exceeding greatness of his power that works towards us. And it says in the next verse, that works towards us.

[12:42] It says, which this kind of power is what he exercised. The word rough, let's change it. It says that which he exerted the power, the exceeding greatness of the power, which he exerted in Christ.

[12:55] When he raised him, the guy was dead, but something was exerted inside him. He exerted, he demonstrated, he worked, he worked inside. So when he was dead, the power of God, because you will not suffer your holy one to see corruption.

[13:12] So even in the grave, there's purity in him God could work with. God could use his purity as a handle. Do you understand what I'm saying?

[13:23] So even in the dead, he worked, he worked his power, which he exerted in Christ. When he raised him from the dead, and not just raised him from the dead, seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.

[13:40] Where? Far. See, heavenly realms, no wonder we are blessed with all heavenly, blessed heavenly places. Because for heavenly realms, Christ is in charge.

[13:52] Seated in heavenly realms, far above rule, authority, power, and dominion, and every title that can be given.

[14:04] Not only in this present age, but also in the one to come. The power of Jesus, the greatness of Jesus, he's elevated above anything.

[14:17] He says above rule. There's no rule. Let's look at King James or New King James. Those words are more important there for me. He said about principalities.

[14:29] Principalities, another way to understand principalities is systems. Principles. They are systems. So, the system that governs certain outcomes.

[14:45] That's how Jesus could walk on water. And law of flotation. It's a system that means that if you go on the water, you will sink. But Jesus walked on the water.

[14:56] What system? He was able to overpower that system. The set of systems that are meant to keep you down. They are using everything against you, but it's not working.

[15:08] Lions, they were thrown into lions, but the lion could not eat them. And just to check whether the lions were still hungry, they removed Daniel and put other guys. The Bible says they didn't arrive.

[15:21] The lion finished their meat way. Because they've been starving for long. They brought them meat they couldn't eat. Because their appetite was overpowered by Daniel's person.

[15:32] Why? Something was working in Daniel. Some principles, principalities, and systems can be suspended for you. I'm not talking about government laws.

[15:43] That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about systems that have been put in place to harm you, to hurt you. It won't work when you are the power working for you. I don't see why you should be worried that what if I don't get married.

[16:00] Don't entertain that kind of thinking. Because there's a system working for you. If nobody gets married in your family, minus you. Why? Because you have integrated yourself into a working system.

[16:13] A working system that is powerful, more powerful than any system. don't add yourself to the negative statistics. Why? Because there is power working towards you.

[16:26] Don't add yourself to those who fail in life. Even if failure is the normal DNA in your generations, in your blood.

[16:37] Once you are in Christ, there is power working towards you. Once you believe in Jesus, power is working towards you. So failure is not going to be natural.

[16:51] Failure will have to struggle and force this way in your life. Because the terms and conditions have reversed. Once you are in Christ, somebody shall thank God I'm in Christ.

[17:03] I'm in Christ. So the power that works towards us who believe. And this is the kind of power he exerted in Christ, exercised in Christ, wroth in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him on his right hand far above principalities and power.

[17:29] Power! And not only principality and power and might and dominion. These are strong words. there's no might that can keep you under because there's a certain power that raises you to operate beyond where might, where dominion, where power and where principalities operate.

[17:56] They can operate but where Christ is seated is far above and there's a power kind of power that took him there. and he said the same power is working inside you. Same power is working inside you.

[18:09] See, the same power is working inside me. The same power is working inside you. In Romans chapter 8 verse 11, he's, ah, I like it. That power even affects your health, your physical body.

[18:22] It says that if the spirit of him that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. Oh, so that same spirit that was responsible for Jesus' resurrection, he says the spirit dwells in you and he said if that spirit dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also quicken your mortal body means your physical body.

[18:46] Your physical body begins to receive a boost. You know, when you have an electric car, you have to charge it at home or somewhere.

[18:57] Fast charge or slow charge. And when you are born again, it's like an electric car. You are going, you have not been plugged into anything. Why? Because your charging comes, it's like solar energy.

[19:09] You know, but this one is divine energy. Divine energy. Your supply is from above. So, when people are running out of power, battery power, you are not running out of battery power.

[19:25] Why? Because solar, solar energy, every day, you don't even pay. It just comes, you pay for the sunshine. You don't pay for sunshine. Can you imagine if the Americans can put a system to supply sunshine?

[19:38] The taxes on sunshine. You go on holidays, you go to the beach, light the beach, and free sunshine. God is good. Yes.

[19:50] So, he's talking about the fact that when you are in Christ, you are above where you'll be subjugated and dominated. Why?

[20:01] Because there's a power that works in you once you believe. So, you have to believe in Jesus. I believe in Jesus. So, that takes me to the next verse. And raising five principalities and gave him, wow, every name and all that, everything is here above that.

[20:22] the next verse. And he gave him and has put all things under his feet and gave him to be head over all things to the church. So, now, this person who is seated above principalities and powers and so high is now given to be the head of the church.

[20:44] So, if he's the head of the church, tell me what demon can harass the church. Does that make sense when Jesus said in Matthew chapter 16 verse 18, it said, I'll build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

[21:03] Gates of hell will not prevail against the church. So, he was, he exalted about principalities and gave him to be the head of the church. If he is the head of the church, that means that he's solely responsible for whatever happens to the church.

[21:18] That's why he had to appear to Saul of tosses in Acts chapter 9 and said, why do you persecute me? Saul said, not you, I never touch you. He said, if you persecute the church, you have touched me.

[21:30] Anything you do against the church, Christ will take your best now. Why? Because he's been given to be the head of the church. Say, Christ is the head of the church. Not the king.

[21:44] He doesn't know what it takes to be head of the church. church. No. No human people has what it takes to be head of the church. Excuse me. Not even a pastor.

[21:56] Not even a prof. A prof cannot be the head of the church. A pastor cannot be. It's not a human role. It's a supernatural role. To be the head of the church, you must be seated far above principalities.

[22:10] It is a mistake. In fact, when they were even appointing just deacons, they said, root for some people, full of faith. How come you are leading a church and don't have faith? You only have theological knowledge.

[22:23] No. Paul said, I've kept the faith. I fought a good fight. You can't be a leader in this church. Even a department, if you are not a woman of faith, you are not a man of faith.

[22:34] You can't lead it. You are most qualified to do that. And secondly, you must be full of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit must be inside you because the Holy Spirit is the Lord of the church.

[22:48] When we are appointing the first dickens in the church, in Acts chapter 6, verse 3, it says that look ye amongst you, men, said, wherefore, brethren, look ye amongst you, seven men, of what honest reports.

[23:01] Your behavior matters when it comes to church leadership. But that's not enough. You might have good reports, but you're full of the Holy Ghost. You're not filled. You might be full of the Holy Spirit.

[23:13] When we look at your behavior, you talk to people. When we look at your contribution in the work, every time you do something, you bring the work up. For some reason, the Holy Spirit finds an opportunity to display when it shows up.

[23:31] Full of the Holy Spirit. Because how can you see the Holy Spirit in somebody? You can't. So it depends. You watch their results. You watch their results.

[23:42] You watch their results. that tells you they are full of the Holy Spirit. The results is what tells you. Jesus said, please, can I beg you? Don't tell me that, oh, you know, I'm honest, God knows my heart.

[23:55] It's not necessary. Jesus said, if I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. Yes, you must have a good heart.

[24:06] You must have a good heart and be genuine, but that's not enough. how do I know whether your heart is good or not? Outside of your works. Jesus said, I have a greater witness.

[24:18] John the Baptist said that he is the Lamb of God. John the Baptist made a public statement. John the Baptist was very credible. He had strong credibility. And John the Baptist said that this is the Son of God.

[24:30] This is the one who takes away the sins of the... And Jesus yet, in the book of John, chapter 5, verse 36, Jesus said, I have... verse 35, 36, yeah. He said, I have a greater witness than John's witness of me.

[24:44] What is the witness he was referring to? For the works the Father has given me to finish, the same the works which the Father has given me to finish, the very works that I do, bear witness of me that the Father has sent me.

[24:59] My works tell you, tell you who I am. You can't be full of the Holy Ghost and be sinning so comfortably.

[25:12] In what way? What kind of Holy Ghost? Excuse me, the Holy Spirit is the breath of God, right? He's the breath of God. God has not got bad breath.

[25:25] If he's the Holy Spirit, he doesn't stink. Am I preaching at all? I kind of like the way the place is getting very quiet.

[25:38] it looks like someone is really receiving something. God is really talking to somebody. You want to do the work of God, you better get yourself filled with the Holy Spirit.

[25:49] Walk with the Holy Spirit. Walk with the Holy Spirit. How do we know? We should look out for people who are filled with the Holy Spirit. That means we have to take your results into consideration. Your results.

[26:00] Jesus said, you might not believe what I do, but look at my works. He said, are you going to stone me for making a cripple? Well, the good work I've done to a cripple?

[26:12] They said, no, for good works, we stone you not. God. So the point I'm making is somebody will tell you the Bible contradicts itself. They don't know what they're talking about.

[26:25] How can you tell me that, show me in the Bible where Jesus said he's God? Meanwhile, the Jews said they want to kill him because he said he's God. He said several times they killed him because they said he blasphemed because he said he's God.

[26:40] It is unambiguous in his language, in his communication with them. It is so clear. Those who have common sense knew he meant he's God. Somebody said Jesus is God.

[26:52] Jesus is God. I know, you can't. If you are not a Christian, I can understand why I'm struggling to say that. But if you're a Christian, you can't say that is a sign that you are not a Christian. If you cannot say and if you cannot believe that Jesus is God, you are not a Christian.

[27:10] This is treatable. Good one. That's a Christian message. If you cannot say Jesus is God, you are not a Christian.

[27:21] So Jehovah would say are they Christians? No. Are they Christians? No. Even though they are called Latter-day saints. No.

[27:31] Why? Because you cannot be a Christian if you say Jesus is not God. God. That's what this thing is about. I will never stop saying this.

[27:45] In John chapter 20 verse 30, he said, there are so many things Jesus did which are not written in this book, but these are written so that you will believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

[27:56] What does that mean? Jesus is the Christ and when he says Son of God, that means he's God because the Jews knew he's the only one who can forgive sins on earth. Well, Jesus is God.

[28:09] Jesus is God. Say louder. Jesus is God. Sorry, I forgot. If you don't believe you don't have to say it. It's not an offense. It's not a police matter. It's not an offense. We won't sack you out of here.

[28:20] No, no, we don't. Christians don't behave like that. We won't call you an infidel. We won't call you anything. Christians don't behave like that. But the unfortunate thing is until you believe that Jesus is God, the Christ, when you die, you just go to hell.

[28:37] Why? You say that. Sorry, sorry, no, no, I didn't say that. I didn't say that. The Bible said that. Jesus said that. The Bible said that. It says that these things are written that you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and in believing you will have eternal life.

[28:55] So this is what you believe to have eternal life. Anything outside of this never guarantees eternal life. Oh, someone who is saved, shouted out of your lungs, Jesus is Lord!

[29:10] Jesus is God! Jesus is God! Jesus is God! Jesus is God! Yes, hallelujah, she'll come.

[29:26] So the Bible says, that's the message of the Bible, Jesus is God. Who do men say you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

[29:41] He said, anyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. 1 John 5, 1. 1 John 5, verse 11, says that God has given us eternal life.

[29:54] Wow! And this is a testament that God has given us eternal life. And where is eternal life? It's in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Verse 12, anyone who has the Son has life. If you don't have the Son, you don't have life.

[30:10] When they say you don't have life, another way, another way to put it is you are going to hell. Yeah, yeah. So hell is not like a swear word. No, hell is a state or a place where people who don't have the life of God are going.

[30:27] So it's not about behavior, it's about life. What life you have will determine where you go when you die. If you only have human life when you die, you won't go to where God life exists because you don't have the life of God.

[30:47] But if you have the, how do I have the life of God? I have to be born again because life comes by birth. So you have been born once, but you have to have another birth.

[30:58] You have to be born again and the second birth gives you the life of God. Well, he was given to be the head of everything for the church.

[31:19] So Jesus is the head of the church and the head of the church is God. the head of the church is the Christ. The head of the church is the son of God.

[31:29] The head of the church, the Bible says in John 1 verse 4, in him is life. Wow. In Colossians chapter 3 verse 4, it says, Christ is our life.

[31:41] Wow. In him is life. Christ is our life. Hallelujah. When you have life, you see, when something is dead, it doesn't have control.

[31:53] any dead thing doesn't have control. Have you seen someone chasing a dead dog? Or have you seen a cat chasing a dead rat?

[32:05] A dead rat will not run away. It's not going to go anywhere. Why? Because it's dead. It doesn't have control. So if you don't have Christ, you don't have life.

[32:16] And if you don't have life, you are dead. Pastor, why are you saying that? Ephesians chapter 2 verse 1, that's when we are going next week. Ephesians chapter 2 verse 1, he said to you, what were you?

[32:31] He made a life. You were dead, dead, dead, dead, dead. And now when you have the life of God, he's made you alive.

[32:43] life. If you want eternal life, you want the life of God, how do you get it? It says that God has given us eternal life and this life is in his son, Jesus Christ.

[32:58] The life is in the son. If you want life, go to the son. No, I don't mean the moon son. I mean S-O-N, son. Okay, let's say that way the Nigerians would say. Go to the son.

[33:08] life is in Jesus Christ. Somebody say life is in Jesus Christ. My prayer for you that you will be strong in the Lord.

[33:21] My prayer for you, especially those who are writing exams, is that heaven will help you. You will excel. Thank you for choosing to listen to this message by David Entry.
