[0:00] Hallelujah! Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2, our Christ-centred youth services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.

[0:13] May Jesus Christ reveal himself to you as you listen. Hallelujah! Please be seated. Hallelujah!

[0:32] Amen! It's nice to see everybody. And I believe God has something great in store for us all by his Spirit.

[0:45] So shall he be. How is the fasting going? It is fantastic! Those of you who are fasting, you know what I mean.

[0:56] And the Lord will meet you at the point of your knees. Amen! In the name of Jesus. Turn to someone sitting near you and tell the person, we are in for a good treat.

[1:10] We are in for a good treat. From heaven. From heaven. In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name. Ephesians chapter 2 verse 1. And you, has he quickened who were dead in trespass?

[1:26] In the midst of the sins. Wherein in time past, he walked according to the course of this world. According to the prince of the power of the air. The spirit that now wakes in the children of disobedience.

[1:41] Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past. In the lust of our flesh. Fulfilling the desires of the flesh. And of the mind. And were by nature the children of wrath. Even as others.

[1:52] But God who is rich in mercy for his great love. Wherein he loved us. Even when we were dead in sins. Has quickened us together with Christ. By grace are you saved. Amen. Father, thank you. You are God who is trinity.

[2:04] Three in one. Amen. Father, thank you. You are God who is trinity. Three in one. Amen. Amen. Father, thank you.

[2:17] Father, thank you. You are God who is trinity. Three in one. God the Father, help us. God the Son, help us. God the Holy Spirit, help us. So we can know you more and serve you better. In Jesus name. Amen. Amen.

[2:28] Last week I spoke about how. How. How. How. How. How. How. How. How. How. How.

[2:39] How. How. How. How. How. How. How. How. How. There is.

[2:50] A dimension of the church. That man cannot define. It's God. That is in chapter one of Ephesians. In the verse.

[3:02] 22 and 23 said, Jesus was given to be their head. Over all things to the church. Is your keep I come down. When it comes to keep it to I don't want to be too far.

[3:15] So he gave everything. He gave him to be the head over everything for the church, unto the church.

[3:27] Then he says, what is about the church? Verse 23 said, the church, which is his body. So the church is the body of Christ. Let's all say that together. The church is the body of Christ. Last week, I took a lot of time to explain that.

[3:42] And so that is the heavenly perspective of the church. From top down, the description of the church is that the church is the body of Christ.

[3:55] The fullness of him who filleth all things in all. The fullness of him who filleth all things in all.

[4:07] And then verse chapter 2 says that, and you who were, or has it quickened? The quickening means what made alive. You remember, God has given you life.

[4:18] Who were dead? So God is the only one who can give life to the dead. You were dead in your transgressions and your sins. As it quickened, and in which we once walked.

[4:32] All right. According to the course of this world. According to the prince of the power of the air. That is the spirit who is at work or who works in the sense of disobedience.

[4:43] The sense of disobedience are any human being who is not indwelt. That's the technical word. Indwelt. Past tense.

[4:55] In the spirit of God indwells us. So when we use the phrase, it's like a phrase almost. But it's, I think, I feel a word.

[5:07] He indwells us. That means he dwells in us. Okay. So sometimes the Holy Spirit can be described, watch this, this is very important, as the indwelling spirit.

[5:21] Okay. I think in some places in scripture I use this even. The indwelling spirit. The spirit that dwells means live. Where's your dwelling place?

[5:33] So when the Holy Spirit indwells you, that means that he lives in you. He's inside you. So we are, one of the signs, what really shows that you are born again is that the spirit of God indwells you.

[5:48] If the spirit of God does not dwell in you, or if you are not in, Romans, yeah, that's where I was going. If you are not indwelt by the spirit, forget it, you are not a child of God.

[5:59] It says that, but you are not in the flesh by the spirit. If indeed the spirit of God dwells in you. So if the spirit of God indwells you.

[6:09] So the spirit of God actually lives in people. All right. He lives in people. Not he visits people. He actually, some of us, we are the habitation of God.

[6:24] You remember why God created us? Habitation. So you carry God. You carry the whole spirit. And 2 Corinthians chapter 4, verse 11 puts it this way.

[6:34] It said we have this treasure. The treasure is the spirit. Heavilities. In earthen vessels, your bodies, if you don't bath, some of you only one day, you begin to really become offensive.

[6:50] To people's smell. They can't smell because you are around. They can't, they have to, they can't breathe, sorry. They can't breathe because, can't breathe, can't breathe, I'm dying.

[7:01] Someone is here. Some of you, when you sweat a little bit. Every corner in your body begins to cry for help. Why?

[7:13] Because you are earthen. Earthen vessels. When Adam and Eve sinned in Genesis chapter 3, and when God was pronouncing judgment, verse 19, He told Adam that, He said that, In the sweat of your face, you shall eat bread.

[7:33] You shall eat bread till you return to the ground. Why? For out of it were you taken. You were taken. For dust you are, and dust, to dust you shall return.

[7:46] That's why we bury people. The biblical way, the Jewish way of burial is not cremation. The pattern God gave to His people, the Jews, of how to bury, or how to dispose of a corpse, a dead body, is not cremation.

[8:08] So, is there anything wrong with cremation? I don't know. I mean, I just want to stay with what I know. So, we are dust.

[8:24] And do you know what, in Genesis chapter 3, verse 16, when God was cursing the devil, verse 15 and 16, He told the devil, Cursed, because you have done this, you are cursed.

[8:37] Let's go to 15, please. So, and I'll put, I think we should start from verse 14 or 13, when the woman said, He's the devil. So, the Lord said to the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field.

[8:54] On your belly you shall go. So, he used to have legs. Or maybe the snake used to go like this. It was cursed to go like this.

[9:05] He said, On your belly, on your belly you shall go. And you shall eat what? You shall eat what? Dust. You shall eat what? Dust. Really?

[9:16] That's the curse that you dust, all the days of your, you shall eat dust. And look at verse 19. God told Adam, you will read, because dust, dust thou art. King James said, dust thou art.

[9:27] You are dust. And the devil has been cursed to eat dust. You don't come to Jesus. You are a piece of kebab for the devil. Shawarma, shawarma.

[9:43] You are like suya. Suya for the devil. No deliverance minister can save you. We can pray for you, and clear him off, but he's coming back, because you are dust.

[9:59] And God, I didn't say it to him. God said to Adam, you, you are dust. And meanwhile, the devil has been cursed that he's going to eat dust. You don't understand.

[10:10] If there's God, why am I going through this? Because you are dust. Until you are born again, you are dust. When you become born again, then you have the life of God.

[10:22] How can the devil eat the life of God? It's like putting poison in his mouth. You areLO brandish. You are no sacrifice. I don't know why, you are the same. I don't knowů My friends that do this All right. So, we saw in Ephesians chapter 2 that we were dead in our transgressions, and he has forgiven us, and then, sorry, the spirit that works in the sons of disobedience.

[10:42] So anyone who is not in Christ is by nature son of disobedience. Or for some of you who don't understand, some of you say daughter of disobedience.

[10:54] All right, today I have to finish, Ellie. So let me go back quickly to Ephesians. He said in the book of Ephesians, as I was reading, that we were by nature children of disobedience.

[11:06] And children of wrath. Okay, so let's go to the verse 3. Verse 3 says that, among whom you, see, talking about those, the world, those who are under the sway of the world, or who live, that's how we usually live.

[11:23] He says that you were dead, your trespasses, and you live according to the course of the world, according to the power that at work is the children of the, or the power of the air, the spirit who is at work in the children of the same power.

[11:39] That's how we live our life. And he says that, amongst these children of disobedience, amongst them, among whom also, we all once conduct, say once.

[11:50] So it's okay to have a former funny life, an unclean life, unsanctified life, bad life, ungodly life, or godless life.

[12:07] But you can't afford to be in church and have a godless life. Why are you in church? But church is not in you. Once you are in church, you should have, you once, there are people here who once used to conduct themselves in a certain way.

[12:23] Yeah. Once used to be always stealing. Once used to always do fraud and drugs. Once, I used to.

[12:36] I used to. That's, God doesn't have a problem with you. I used to. So, your multiple sex partners, now that you are in Christ, it's not a problem for God.

[12:50] Just that the truth is, if you don't stay in Christ, the negative scattering influences will begin to show. Did you understand that? So you can be in Christ, but because you are not living in the spirit, the flesh, the tendencies of the flesh, begins to show.

[13:05] You begin to struggle, negative impact and effects of your things. The fact that you are born again, doesn't mean you've forgotten the one you used to sleep with. You can't forget.

[13:17] You can't. Come on. You know, sometimes you smell something. Oh, it makes me remember her. She used to have this smell. You know what I'm talking about? You are born again.

[13:27] You are preaching on the streets. Weaning souls. But you are preaching to somebody, you are weaning souls, and the person was wearing a particular perfume, color.

[13:38] So let's say, Yadon. Yadon. Yadon. You are preaching the lady, she was wearing Yadon, and she was listening to you, but you're beginning to have flashbacks.

[13:52] Because the way, the perfume she was wearing, and the way she has done her edges, reminds you of. You see, that means that you are born again, but still, you are the same person.

[14:06] Being born again doesn't mean that you have become a totally different, you are not a total, you are only new in the spirit. But in your feelings, you are the same. When you got born again, if you used to like, bologna, what are you like?

[14:21] Spaghetti. If you used to like, you know, yes, lasagna. It doesn't change.

[14:33] There are some of you are born again, and you still like a particular type of food, particular type of drink, particular type of, you know, holiday. Just that sanctified one.

[14:47] So being born again does not mean your taste changes automatically. Or your memories are wiped off. So the things that you remember can still come after you.

[14:58] So you have to learn how to walk in the spirit so that your past doesn't catch up with you. Have you ever seen someone who is born again and eventually begins to go back?

[15:11] And do the same thing. It's possible that you are born again, but if you are not on guard, if you are not alert, if you don't watch it, if you are not watching and praying, if you are not taking heed, you will end up the way you used to be.

[15:28] Some of you are locked down. You see where you find yourself? The lockdown brought some aspects of you that you thought had gone. So you remember? Yes.

[15:39] Some people went back to smoking weed. And there are people here, someone listening to me, you are born again, but you've gone back to smoking weed. Ibo and Shio.

[15:52] You've gone back to the girl. You've gone back to the boy. It's not that you are bad. You don't have to be a bad person to do bad things. You don't have to be a bad person to do the things you don't want to do.

[16:03] You just have to be a human being. Human beings have the propensity of doing what they don't want to do. But I see that the Holy Spirit is empowering you to be able to live the way you want to live.

[16:17] So, we once used to live or we once lived, it's that we once conducted ourselves in the last of the flesh.

[16:27] You see, when you are born again, you can't just say, I feel it or I will do it. You are not reigned or ruled by your feelings.

[16:39] You are ruled by the Word of God. You are ruled by the indwelling spirit. That's why in Galatians chapter 5 and 16, it says that walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

[16:59] Walk in the spirit. Because that means that you are born again, you are in, the spirit of God is indwelling you, but you can still fulfill the desires of the flesh. How many of you have done that before since you became born again?

[17:11] Even my two hands have. The works of the flesh is not always something very bad. Sometimes, it can even be a small lie or a big one.

[17:25] It can be something that you kept watching, you know you shouldn't be watching. Why are you so quiet?

[17:35] You are in church. Everybody around you in church thinks that you are all right. But they don't know.

[17:49] But it's only the pastor sometimes feels like someone told him something. And usually when people sit down like this and they are looking, they look, there's always something they're hiding.

[18:01] people who can't sit and look straight when the word of God is going. It's like Luke chapter 18.

[18:13] A man who went verse 13. He went, he's a publican, tax collector. He went to pray. Bible said he could not even lift up his eyes. Yes. He could not as much raise his eyes to heaven.

[18:28] Sometimes when there's a sin ongoing in your life, it does something against your confidence before God. So when a pastor is preaching or when you see the presence of God, you feel unworthy.

[18:41] Satan likes to use that. Satan only thrives where people feel God will not accept them. He said, you once conducted yourself in the last of the flesh.

[19:03] You once conducted yourself in the last of the flesh. Fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind.

[19:13] Did you see that there? The last of the flesh too. It's desires of the flesh and desires of the mind. So, the way you were looking at that girl many people have done a lot of things in their minds.

[19:37] You have been, you have impregnated somebody in your mind. Or somebody has impregnated you in your mind. They've been wondering, so if I'm carrying the baby, how would I do?

[19:50] I love him so much. I don't mind carrying his baby. Now, people, someone sitting here will never know that's what you're thinking.

[20:06] So, you can come and be shouting, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Revival, revival, revival, follow me. Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah.

[20:17] Oh, yeah. Oh, go, go, hallelujah. Meanwhile, your mind, your mind has been stealing people's money. You have unforgiveness in your mind.

[20:36] You have anger, bitterness, jealousy in your mind. You were, when the way the lady was jumping and shaking her hair, you think, because your wig is not as nice as her, you are praying that this wig will fly off.

[20:47] And at the center, you are singing, oh, go, go. So, your actions are, so, it's only God.

[21:01] That's what Bible says, that God looks at the heart. It's only God who sees the heart. I can be preaching like this, and God knows my heart.

[21:12] You might say, oh, that's amazing preaching, but God might say, nah. God knows your heart. That's why we have the lust of the flesh and of the mind.

[21:26] The flesh can be seen. The mind, the lust of the mind cannot be seen. But that's how we've always lived our lives. When you don't have Jesus, you are governed by the lust of the flesh and the lust of the mind.

[21:40] Or, the desires of the flesh. I want to have this. I want to have it. I want to have it. I want to have it. I want to have it. I want to have more money. It's not mine, but I want to steal it from somebody's account.

[21:54] Booking hotels with people's money from their accounts. Yeah. Yeah. Booking hotels.

[22:04] God is not worried about your past. He's not worried about. It's you who are worried about your past. Because, if you don't take certain steps now, your past will catch up with you.

[22:16] Because the past is really not past, you know. It's not past. No, no, no. It's not past. Bible says, don't be deceived. Whatsoever man sows. Galatians 6, 7. You will reap it.

[22:27] You will reap it. Whatever you are doing is a seed you are sowing. The way you are breaking people's, ladies' hearts.

[22:42] Because whatsoever man sows, so shall he reap it. You don't sow apples to reap tomatoes. You don't sow bananas to reap cucumber.

[22:58] No! Ask somebody, what are you currently sowing? I'm sowing. When you sow one grain of corn, how many grains of corn do you reap?

[23:12] One, two, three, uncountable. So go on sowing. Go on sowing. Go on sowing. Go on sowing the pasta in your head.

[23:25] One day you'll be talking to your children, they won't do it in their head. They will tell you you are a stupid man. You sowed it. I don't know what you are sowing.

[23:36] I don't know what you are sowing. I don't know what you are sowing. This gossip thing you are sowing. What are you telling that lady about where the lady got her money from?

[23:49] What has that got to do with the one you are telling? She got the money from her auntie's friend, her auntie's boyfriend. And so what? What, is it your auntie?

[24:00] And is it your boyfriend? It's not nice what she did. But, you are telling this other lady. What, is it going to do about that?

[24:11] And rather, you are rather destroying her reputation before this lady. Who should have known this information because it's not necessary. It's not, the information is not affecting her. Whether she knows it or not.

[24:23] Whether she knows, when she knows it, it's going to affect her. Why are you telling somebody about this other usher, this praise and worship leader, this choir star in the church, she has got three boyfriends. Next time, when she's leading their praise and worship, the person can't receive.

[24:36] She says, I can't listen to this one. Meanwhile, previously said, that's my favorite singer. And she was getting blessed. When she didn't know, it was blessing her. Now that she knew, you through whom she got to know, God will hold you responsible.

[24:53] Is the thing she knew that the person was doing, was what the person was doing right? No. But she knowing this hasn't helped her. Some information, you don't need it.

[25:06] Gossips. You are gossiping about people. People gossip about the fact that you don't have hair at all one day. Yes. You are gossiping about people's wig, people's braids.

[25:19] You wait. You do gossip about you don't have hair. You'll be shocked that everybody knows. Only you don't know that people know. You don't have hair. One day you'll find out that everybody knows.

[25:30] Why? Because of the city. I saw it. Am I preaching? Oh, yes. Those of you who have been giving your mother problems, you see the way your room is and the kitchen, you, get ready, your daughter will do it times 10.

[25:50] I'm just turning ahead. Yeah. You live with your mother. You live with your father. But you don't respect them. You do anything. You do anything you want.

[26:02] And no one can say, hey, stop it because you have become like untouchable in the house. Especially some of you boys. Some of you guys, I can tell from your family, I think I don't know. Some of you boys, especially those who are on their way to prison, they don't respect anybody.

[26:19] Most boys in prison, check. It started from home. Disrespect. It started from disrespect. Why would you be a sensible girl and dating someone who is going to prison?

[26:31] Please, please. How can he say that? I said it. I said it. Read my list. I said it. When you grow, you understand what I mean.

[26:46] Because you don't want to marry and financial things are so hard because your husband can't get a job. when you are supposed to be doing your degree, you are degreasing women.

[26:58] I'm sorry. And now you are left with disgrace.

[27:09] It should be my problem. Please. My job is to help you run for the rest of your life. Yes. run and do something better with your life because whatsoever a man sows, you will reap it.

[27:23] Yes. You will, I'm telling you, you will reap it. Mm-hmm. You will reap it. So be careful what you are sowing. Every time you are doing something, think about, people may not know, but your destiny will know it.

[27:35] Mm-hmm. your future will either cry or laugh based on what you are doing now. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

[27:46] Mm-hmm. So back to the text. Oh! Ephesians chapter, oh, where is Ephesians? Yes, Ephesians is here.

[27:58] Chapter two. Yes. Oh. Mm-hmm. That's what I've been waiting to get to. Say, but God. But God. Say it again.

[28:09] But God. He didn't say, and God. But God. He said, but God. That means all the negative things that we used to do, instead of God dealing with us based on that, he actually dealt with us differently.

[28:29] But God. That's why you shouldn't stay here. You shouldn't be here and thinking there's no hope for your future. That's not true. It doesn't matter.

[28:40] You might have done the worst of things. Okay, let me tell you something. What determines what a man will reap? What is so? Is it scriptural?

[28:52] It's a law of life. God has woven it. Whatever goes wrong, God. It's woven it to the law of life. Whatever you sow, you reap. Paul.

[29:03] Of Tarsus. Of Tarsus. You know, Saul. Of Tarsus. He was killing people, didn't he? He was actually closing down churches. And then now he became born again. He was opening churches.

[29:15] Didn't they beat him? Was he stoned? He was stoned once. He stoned, he was there, supervised the stoning of Stephen. He was also stoned, but he didn't die.

[29:26] To the extent, my darling, to the extent that in Acts chapter 20, in 22, 23, 24, he said, I'm not going to Jerusalem. I don't know the things that lay ahead of me, but, because the Holy Spirit is indicating in every city that bonds, chains, and afflictions are waiting me.

[29:47] But I said, none of these things move me. Neither do I count myself there, that I might finish my course. Now watch this. He sold it, he ripped it, but he ripped it under grace.

[29:59] So even when the thing should have hurt him, he embraced it, and he rather took him further up. Why? Because he was living a pure life in Christ. So when you live a life in Christ, it doesn't matter how worse your past is like.

[30:14] It will come back, but when it comes back, it's like you are in a boat. Watch this. You are in a boat. On the sea, or on the river, or on the lake, and suddenly, flood of water is coming.

[30:32] You don't, you didn't want that. But when it comes, because of the boat you are in, it will carry you up. What is drowning others will lift you up.

[30:45] What am I saying? I'm not saying that when you do something bad, now that you are in Christ, it will tend to be good. What I mean is, even when it's time for you to reap, the reaping will end up, you will feel it, but it will end up working better for you.

[31:00] Because Romans chapter 8, verse 28, says that, all things work together for good, for those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.

[31:13] If you love God, it changes the outcome of your life. Do you understand that? That's why, instead of being so worried about what you haven't achieved, what you haven't done in life, and the bad things you have done, listen, there's nothing you can do about a spilled milk.

[31:28] There's nothing you can do about your past. Even last night, there's nothing you can do about it. It's happened. It's happened.

[31:40] It's happened already. So what you gonna do? Just pick up yourself and start running. Go forward. I've been saying this. There's a songwriter who wrote a song.

[31:50] He said, if you catch hell, don't hold it. You've caught hell. Why are you holding it? Leave it! And if you are going through hell, don't stop. Just keep going.

[32:01] You'll come out of it. Don't stop. When times look hard, don't stop. Keep going. When Paul, God was calling Paul, in Acts chapter 9, he sent Ananias, the disciple, to go and talk to Paul.

[32:16] He said, I have called him, and I will show, this is interesting. Can you imagine, from the day he was called, he said, I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name. Acts chapter 9, from Acts 13.

[32:28] He said, for I will show him how many things he is not, he may. He must. And, loves, Paul said in Philippians chapter 1, verse 21, he said, for me to leave his Christ to die again.

[32:43] That's how much his problems lost control over his life. His problems could not determine his joy. Can you imagine, he said, Paul was in prison, and he says that, he was telling people outside prison, rejoice again, I said, rather he was encouraging them.

[33:00] Paul, in Ephesians chapter 3, verse, I think somewhere in 14, he says that, don't be worried about my prison, or chapter 4, no, chapter 3, don't be worried, or particularly, Colossians chapter 1, verse 24.

[33:11] He said, I rejoice in my suffering for, come on, how, how do you rejoice in suffering? He said, I rejoice, look, verse 24, he said, now, I now rejoice in my sufferings for you.

[33:25] I rejoice, what am I trying to say? He suffered, but it wasn't a burden. Because he was so much in Christ, when the past started catching up with him, but God, who is reaching, mercies.

[33:42] Now, as I run up, I want you to understand the significance of mercy. How many of you have gone through a situation where you know you are supposed to be, maybe, punished or suffer consequences, and they tell you, we want to give you a verbal warning, and they let you off the hook.

[34:02] So, you know, if they punish you, it's right for you, you know, you should be punished. Okay, let me use plagiarism. You need, you know you did it, and chat GPT.

[34:17] Did this for you. And, and they found out. You know they found out. They brought you before the panel. They ask you questions you couldn't answer.

[34:28] And you know that this time, this, this station is wrong. It's all good. And then two days later, they, they tell you, they call you, their boss calls you, or the, the lecturer calls you, and he said, everything is clear.

[34:41] But for some reason, we still decide to just let you off the hook, or just pass you. You're wondering. You can't know I should be punished.

[34:54] They are not endorsing what you did. They are waiving punishment. That is the definition of mercy. And Bible says, God is rich. So that's why, you have to be very careful, about who you are bitter against.

[35:13] Because God can still bless them, in spite of your bitterness. Even though they were wrong, they are in the wrong. God can still bless them above you. Why?

[35:24] Because God is rich in mercy. You don't know what they are doing, to touch the heart of God. If you cry out for mercy, you get mercy. There's not, not that any time, anybody asks God for mercy, and he gets something less than mercy.

[35:40] Why? Because he's God of mercies. Bible says that, for his mercies endures forever. God is good, and his mercies endures.

[35:52] Psalm 136, verse 1. Verse 2. Verse 3. Verse 4. It's there. Look. Verse 1. His mercies endures. Look at verse 2. Verse 2. His mercies endures.

[36:03] Verse 3. His mercies endures. Verse 4. He's mercy. He's mercy. This is how mercy, like nobody's business. That's why, religious people, must be very careful, when they are judging others.

[36:18] Yeah, he's a fornicator, but he'll become, one of the greatest preachers. Paul. Bible says in that, 1 Corinthians, 1 Timothy, sorry. 1 Timothy, chapter 1, verse 12.

[36:30] He said, I thank Christ Jesus, my Lord. Who, Christ Jesus, because he counted me faithful, putting me in the ministry. Yeah, can you imagine? Paul said, he said, me, me, Paul.

[36:43] There's no way you could think that Paul would be doing ministry, or doing the work of God. He said, God counted me faithful. I didn't put myself, he took me, and put me in the ministry.

[36:54] And he said, thanks. See, when you know you are not qualified, but God has had mercy on you, you never struggle to say thank you. When you have a sense of entitlement, that's when you think people should treat you better.

[37:10] But when you know, God has showed you mercy, you don't struggle forgiving others. He said, I can never forgive this mercy. I can never forgive it. Come on. You forgot him?

[37:24] You forgot him? Jesus tells the story of someone who was owing, and he begged the master, forgive me, and the master forgave him. And then the same person was owing him, he was owing thousands.

[37:36] Forgive some, Matthew chapter 18. Forgive somebody. And then found another person was owing him very little. He took the person, threw the person in prison, took the person to court, and prison the person for that little.

[37:47] And he was told the master, listen, the one you just forgave, has put someone in prison for something far less than what you forgave him. He said, bring him, I revoke the mercy, and also throw him in prison.

[37:59] It's in your Bible. He said, if you forgive others their sins, God will also forgive you. Is someone learning something? Oh, yes. In Matthew, in Matthew chapter 5, verse 5, verse 5 also, it says that, blessed are the merciful.

[38:19] Oh, oh, oh, oh, verse 7. When you have, okay, okay, sorry, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, I have to end now. My time is up. Oh, no, I have to, what does it, what does it mean to have mercy?

[38:35] Wave judgments. Thank you. Very brilliant student. Wave, wave, wave judgments. What does it mean to have mercy? Wave, legitimate, deserved judgments.

[38:46] Okay, so, what the punishment that you wave it, that's what's true. So, mercy is not the right of the offender. You can't offend me and say, no, I demand mercy.

[38:58] You can't demand mercy. Mercy is my prerogative. I choose whether to show mercy or not. And every human being, you can always decide to show mercy. You have it in your power.

[39:08] Every human being has it in your power to forgive somebody. Ah, I don't know who I'm talking to. Because human beings are experts in offending.

[39:21] So, one way or the other, somebody will definitely offend you. Or somebody has offended you. How many of you are here who has been offended before? Yeah. One way or the other. You can choose that what this person did again, I just let you off the hook.

[39:35] That's, you are showing mercy. And the Bible says that, blessed those who show mercy, blessed are the merciful. If you are merciful, you are showing mercy. What happens to you? What happens to you?

[39:47] Blessed are the merciful. When you are, when you show mercy, you also, if you want to enjoy more mercy from God, what you have to do? Show mercy. I don't understand people who call themselves Christians but are so vindictive.

[40:03] So vindictive. You, I will hunt you down. I will show you. Please, it gets to a line, you don't go beyond that line. because you are Christian because you are Christian and you are merciful. but God, but God, who is rich in mercies.

[40:21] When we were dead in our transgressions, because of his love that was, when we were dead, he made us alive when we were dead. So, him visiting us was an act of mercy, not act of merit.

[40:34] You are born again, not because you deserve it, not because you are so good. You are born again because God has had mercy on you. Paul, he said, he counted me faithful.

[40:46] 1 Corinthians, 1 Timothy 1, verse 12, putting me in the ministry. Now look at his qualification. Verse 13, he says that, verse 13, he said, although I was formally, say formally. Formally.

[40:57] Say it again, formally. Formally. There must always be a formally in your life. When you are working with Jesus, there must always be. Although I was formally, so if you are still a blasphemer, you don't qualify, you are no industrial.

[41:11] Although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, an insolent man, but, but I obtained, mercy. But I obtained, mercy.

[41:23] If I were you, I would lift up my right hand and say, God, have mercy on me. God, have mercy on me. This is one of the ways God gives mercy. If you want to enjoy mercy from God, the first thing you have to do, learn to be merciful.

[41:37] You know things about people which sometimes you don't have to talk about. Show them mercy, please. Show them mercy. You have seen them in some sights.

[41:50] Please, show them mercy. Don't, don't talk about it. It's not good for them. Don't expose them. Do what you can do to help them, not to hurt them. When you are more interested in helping people than hurting people, you always never run out of help in life.

[42:11] He said, I was formerly an injurious person, a blasphemer, an insolent man, but I obtained mercy because I did it and I now believe.

[42:22] If you want to obtain mercy from God, number one, show mercy. Say, show mercy. Show mercy. Number two, listen to this. A lot of people don't know that. Listen to this very carefully.

[42:35] Number two, ask God for mercy. Ask God. Say, God, please have mercy on me. God, please help me. Listen, many people will not appreciate your struggles.

[42:50] You know this addiction thing is ruining your life, but if some people see the way they will treat you, the way they will treat you, human beings, human beings can be very funny, you know.

[43:02] They have their own, their addiction is chocolate. They don't have a problem walking away from ice cream. Your addiction is ice cream. You don't have a problem with chocolate, but because we are not in a chocolate territory, they are fine and they are busy, busy talking about this ice cream people.

[43:21] Still, you ask me, how can you be having ice cream? How can you be having ice cream? How can you, you can't, you shouldn't be having issues? And they are so confident when they are dealing with you. So, some people, listen, when you are dealing with people, please exercise some level of mercy.

[43:37] Mercy. What the person, that guy did is wrong, but please, exercise some mercy. It's not, it doesn't indicate endorsement. I'm not saying endorse wrongdoing.

[43:50] mercy is not endorsement of wrongdoing. Mercy is just waving judgment just in case they will not do it again.

[44:05] But if they do it again, that's a different story. You can also, depending on the situation, you can have mercy. For instance, if you are a husband, listen to this very carefully, if you are a husband and you are in a church, and you, you beat your wife, you abuse your wife, and it gets to, I get to know, what will I do?

[44:24] Mercy? Yes, mercy. But I'll also tell the police. That's the best way of showing you mercy. I'll tell the police.

[44:37] I'll tell the police, and if you go to prison, I'll come and visit you in prison. That means that I'm not, I'm not against you, I'm just doing what is right. But what I'm trying to say is that, learn to show people mercy.

[44:53] Can you imagine, they were killing Jesus on the cross. He said, Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing. That's mercy. That's mercy. But what is that? What he has done against me?

[45:06] He has to know what he has done. He may never know. She may never know, and she may never understand it. Especially, your dad.

[45:21] That's a very sensitive area. I know it's a sensitive area. I don't want to just, just do it. But I want you to, have it in your heart, that God should give you grace, to be able to do it.

[45:34] Do you understand? I want you to deserve it. Yeah. Your ex, ask for your ex, you deserve it. So, what are you doing with an ex, when you are still in college?

[45:50] With a boyfriend, or a girlfriend in college? It's good, he asked you out of, or she asked you out of her life. Master, you know what she did? She went and told everybody, that I smell.

[46:02] Don't worry, next time, don't go down there. Sorry. Count your losses, and just move on. Praise God. That's what I want to leave with you.

[46:14] God is rich in mercy. If you claim to be a child of God, you cannot be merciless. How do you look like God, being merciless?

[46:27] How do you look like God? Then you are not God's child. You don't have his DNA. So, he says that, but God, who is rich in, that's already, let's go. Some of you, are you hungry, or you are very touched in your heart, about this mercy issue?

[46:44] Ready, let's go. Let's go. God is merciful, because of the way he loves you.

[46:55] There's nothing you can do, for God to turn his love away from you. God loves you. So, he's rich in mercy. Listen, never run away from God.

[47:07] Why? Because he's rich in mercy. I don't know what you did in the past. It's Satan who wants to use it. God doesn't need your credit history. He doesn't need your testimonial.

[47:19] He doesn't need your reference. God never asks for reference. He never asks for reference. Because he never deals with you based on your past.

[47:31] Why? Because he's a God of mercy. But if you don't tend to him early, when you die, he'll deal with you only based on your past. As soon as you die, ready to be dealt with based on your past.

[47:43] But whilst you are alive, God, but God who is rich in mercy, is not going to deal with you based on your past. If you can come to him, he will bless you.

[47:54] He will forgive you. He will help you. Many of us here, I believe almost every one of us here, you need some kind of help from God. I do. I do.

[48:05] I need a lot of help from God. That's why I have to be merciful to people. And I always have to constantly ask for mercy. God, have mercy. Learn how to say this every now and then.

[48:17] Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. When you hear bad news, first thing, Lord, have mercy. No, hey, I'm dead. Please, no. No. Don't say that.

[48:36] Say mercy. Your mom, your dad, your brother, your sister, tells you that there's the bad news that we've just heard. Your heart.

[48:47] Remember. Say, Lord, have mercy. Sometimes it hits you as a shock. You might cry. Just as you cry, you can't be crying permanently. How many of you have cried permanently?

[48:58] Pepper Pig even doesn't cry permanently. So, after you cry, your senses begin to kick in. And you begin, oh God, why?

[49:09] Instead of asking God why, start with God, have mercy. Even when you say, God, I'm upset with you. Ask for his mercy. For saying that. But he understands why you said that.

[49:26] Because it's too much for you. It's overwhelming. And so he understands. Don't think God is upset with you because you say, I don't believe in God. Because with your limited thinking and your limited exposure, you are likely to say that.

[49:39] So it is not upset with you. Do you understand that? Why would you be upset with a child and a baby, a baby for pooing in the nappy?

[49:54] What else? Sometimes mother is going to church or going to town, carry the baby, just finish dressing and the baby from his all over. Oh no! Mom can't be happy.

[50:05] It's just the beauty of being a mother. Beauty of being a parent. Or beauty of carrying a baby. They'll saw you or dress by. It's nice. It's part of the game. So God understands why you went that far.

[50:17] That's okay. Your father was a pastor. He said, I hate Christians. I will not do it yet. You did all kinds of things. That's okay. God understands. Because he's reaching mercy.

[50:29] God is reaching mercy. None of us, none of us qualifies. I don't qualify to be standing here to be talking. But I'm here because of the mercy of God. And so you two make use of the mercy and it will take you far.

[50:43] There are a lot of messes in your life. Messes. M-E-S-S-E-S. Mess. A lot of mess in your life rather.

[50:54] A lot of mess in your life. But God is reaching mercy. So don't worry about your mess. Ask for mercy. Not merit. Don't say, God, why haven't you done this for me? That's merit.

[51:05] If you ask for merit, you'll get it. Ask for mercy. And God is reaching. Did you receive something? Thank you for choosing to listen to this message by David Entry.
