[0:00] Hallelujah! Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2, our Christ-centred youth services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.

[0:14] May Jesus Christ reveal himself to you as you listen. I don't understand why someone in their right senses wouldn't be in church. Church is not boring. I've been in this thing for 34 years and there's never a boring moment.

[0:30] I wonder what kind of Christ you have found, which is so boring. Christ is never boring. Christ is exciting. He's even better than sex.

[0:41] Oh, yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Christ is sizzling. He's exciting. He said, whom, having not seen, yet you laugh.

[0:55] 1 Peter 1, verse 8. You whom, so you are Jesus, whom you have not seen yet, you laugh. And even though you haven't seen him, you believe.

[1:06] Whom, having not seen, you laugh. Though now you do not see him yet, believe him. You rejoice with joys that cannot be spoken about. This joy, you can't express that.

[1:18] Why are you so excited? I just am excited. What, so what is the cause? I can't tell you what it is, but there's something bigger than explanation. Joy inexpressible.

[1:31] King James says that joy unspeakable. Unspeakable joy full of glory. If you are, you are in Christ and you are not excited, your life is very boring.

[1:47] Because being in Christ, the strength, what makes you live a Christian life to its fullness, is joy. Jesus said, these things I've told you.

[1:59] That you have peace in me and your joy will be full. He said, I've told you. That in me you have peace. In the world you have tribulations. This is John chapter 16, 33.

[2:10] In the world you have tribulations. By me you have peace. I've told you this is that your joy may be full. Because without a full joy, you can't live the full Christian life. In Isaiah chapter 12, verse 3 and 4, it says, with joy you draw out water from the wells of salvation.

[2:28] So if you are dealing with the wells of salvation, what it takes to draw, the bucket to draw from the well is joy. Why are you so boring in Christ? I don't think probably you might have not found this Jesus.

[2:43] Because there's no doubt moment in Jesus. In him is full life. It's better than high life. Higher life is in Christ. Oh yes. Oh yes.

[2:55] Oh yes. Oh yes. Oh yes. He said that if any man be in Christ, he's a new creation. How come you are in Christ and yet your life is so miserable?

[3:09] Oh no. It makes me wonder if you are really in Christ. Because you can't be in Christ and full crisis at the same time.

[3:20] Oh. If you are in Christ, there's something that God gives you. Jesus said, peace. When he was going, he didn't leave cars.

[3:32] He didn't leave money. He didn't leave houses. John chapter 14 verse 28. He didn't leave. He said that peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give you.

[3:44] Let not your heart be trouble. Let it not be afraid. When you are in Christ, you have a peace that, the Bible says there's nonsense type of peace.

[3:54] Philippians chapter 4 verse 6. Let not your heart be troubled or be anxious for nothing. But in everything by prayer and supplication, let your request be made.

[4:06] And then verse 7 says that in the peace of God, that is a pastist understanding. You can't make sense of it. You are going through so much and yet you have full joy. In Acts chapter 13 verse 52, Bible talks about how the apostles went to preach.

[4:23] Paul, particularly in Barnabas, they preached in the regions of Antioch. And Bible says that the people were full of the Holy Ghost and with joy. They were filled with joy and with the Holy Ghost.

[4:35] Joy! When Jesus left them and he went to heaven, before he told them he was going to live in John chapter 16, he said, I'm going to live. Bible says that because I told you I'm going to John chapter 16 verse 5, sorrow has filled your heart.

[4:48] It's interesting. Sorrow filled their heart because he said he was going to live there. Because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. What are these things? Verse 7 says that it is expedient for you that I go.

[5:01] So he was talking about his going. That these things concerning his going. Put sorrow in their heart. Because who would like your best man, your best friend, someone who has been there for you to go? But Jesus said, because I said I'm going, sorrow has filled your heart.

[5:14] But when you look at Luke chapter 24, when he left them, from verse 49, 50, 51, he left them. He was blessing them and he was carried up by a cloud. So behold, and I send you the problem.

[5:27] Let's go quickly, verse 50 and 51. Let's start from there. Verse 50. Let's go to 50. And as he let them out, sorry, and he let them out, and he lifted his hands and started blessing them.

[5:39] Look at what happened. As he blessed them, and it came to pass. While he blessed them, he departed from them. And he was carried into heaven. That's how he left. Shouldn't this make them super sorrowful?

[5:52] But look at the next verse. And they returned, they worshipped him and returned to Jerusalem. How? Great. Great. In fact, your boss has left and you are very happy. Because it takes joy to live the Christian life.

[6:07] Without joy, you will dry up. So this exciting, less Christianity that you have been exposed to is not the one in the Bible.

[6:22] Nothing can take my joy from it. I love Jesus. I love Jesus. This is not just youthful excitement. Say, I've been like this from the age of 17.

[6:37] Excited about Jesus. The thing is not on the surface. It's deep. It's real. And so I don't have down moments in life. Because I'm in Christ.

[6:47] Never be apologetic about your expression of joy about Jesus to anybody. Nobody qualifies to intimidate your joy out of you.

[7:01] Not even the devil. So as far as when we come to church, we will let down our guts. Some of you, the only time you're able to be excited is when you drink alcohol. All you have is laughing gas.

[7:13] You can't even laugh naturally. You have to do... It's fake. It's not laughter. It's chemically induced. Oh, yes.

[7:25] Oh, yes. Oh, yes. Do I look like a sad man? Me? Do I look like a sad man?

[7:37] Full of joy. Joy inexpressible. Does that make sense when David said, I was so glad when they said, let us go to church. I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of God.

[7:52] So be joyful. Bible says that God loves. It doesn't just love give us. Cheerful. Cheerful. Joyful. You are doing it with cheer. You are doing it with excitement.

[8:03] When Stephen went to preach. Sorry, Philip went to preach in Samaria. And after demons leave, look at what happened. Verse 8. Acts 8. The fifth city was filled with joy.

[8:16] There was great joy in the city. Why? Demons have left. Sometimes when people cannot laugh and cannot be joyful, it's a sign that... It's invasion of devils in your life.

[8:34] Bible says in his presence is fullness of joy. Come on, give Jesus grace. Thank you for choosing to listen to this message by David Entry.
