[0:00] Hallelujah! Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2, our Christ-centered youth services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.
[0:14] May Jesus Christ reveal himself to you as you listen. Ephesians chapter 2, it says that, let me pick it from verse 4, But God, who is rich in mercies, for his great love, wherein he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, by grace are ye saved, and has raised us up together, and made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus.
[0:50] For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.
[1:01] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
[1:12] For we are his workmanship, and that not of us, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope without God in the world.
[1:55] But now, in Christ ye who were sometimes, who sometimes were far off are made near by the blood of Christ.
[2:07] Here ends the reading of God's holy word. In Jesus' name, amen. Very interesting. Last week I spoke about how verse 10 talks about we are God's workmanship created.
[2:27] So, God didn't end creation on the sixth day. In Genesis chapter 1, it says that, and God created the heavens and then, and then God said, let them, verse 3, God said, let them be, and there was God, verse 6, God said, verse 9, God said, verse 11, God said, 14, God said, 20, God said, 24, God said, 26, God said, let us make money now, when we reach after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea.
[2:57] And God made money in his own image after his likeness. And verse 28 said, and God blessed them and said, God like saying, you know, God blessed them and said, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowls of the air, over every living thing that moves upon the face of the earth.
[3:26] That's the blessing. It's called a creation mandate. We are created to have dominion. And so, Bible, look at the next verse.
[3:38] The next verse. And God said, I have given you every help. Anything God gives us does not ruin us. If it's ruining you, it's not from God.
[3:55] I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed.
[4:10] To you, it shall be for meat. What shall be for meat? The tree. So, there's meat inside a tree.
[4:22] You see, the Bible is contrary. The Bible doesn't understand. Yeah. You see, that expression, meat there is not talking about shaki or oxtail. Okay.
[4:33] The meat there is not what we see in the Turkish restaurant. The meat there, it means meal for food. Something you eat for no enrichment. So, it's not giving the food, the help.
[4:44] So, God didn't actually mean for us to eat animals. Where did he say we should eat animals? When he blessed? Look, he said, no, I'm not trying to make it up.
[4:56] There. God said, see, I have given you every herb that yields seed, which is on the face of the earth, of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed.
[5:10] To you, it shall be for food. Which other meat is for food? So, the meat, to see, ah, pastor, so I should be a vegan.
[5:24] Today after church, what I really wanted to eat was some lamb chops. Lamb chops.
[5:36] But it's not there. So, that's my problem. What's the next verse? I know, go to the next verse.
[5:48] Also, to every beast of the, ah, beast has come now. To every beast of the, to every beast of the, of the air, and to every thing that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb of all.
[6:03] Not them for us, but they should also eat the herbs. Oh. Okay, let's see, maybe he might say that for us to eat some. I didn't mention it. And it was so.
[6:15] Okay, maybe 31. Let's see, is there another 31? The next verse, oh, there's 31. And God saw everything he has made. And it was very good. So, the evening and the morning was the sixth day.
[6:26] Oh, the sixth day is finished. Okay, let's go to the next day. What again is he going to create a commander to eat? Oh, no. So, the heavens and the earth were done and all the hosts of them were finished.
[6:37] God has finished his work. So, what? Verse 2. Verse 2. And on the seventh day, God ended his work. He's finished, which he had done. And he rested on the seventh day.
[6:50] Oh, he's finished and rested on the seventh day from all his work. So, please, there's nowhere to eat meat. Meat eating was not in God's original plan.
[7:05] Some people are so sad. Meat eating was not in God's original plan. Do you know the last time I ever ate meat?
[7:18] Me? The last time I ever ate meat was yesterday. Why?
[7:30] Why? Then, there was what is called in Bible studies, the fall. How did the fall happen?
[7:42] So, God created us. We have the creation. That's the story of the Bible. The creation. And then, after creation, the next important thing in the Bible is the fall.
[7:57] So, in Genesis chapter 2, it goes back to something like details of creation. What spoke more about creation and how God says, it's not good for man to be alone and I'll make him help meat and brought the woman and all that and everything finished in chapter 2, verse 24.
[8:16] And then, chapter 3, the first mention of the devil was in chapter 3. Genesis chapter 3. Now, the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.
[8:30] And he said to the woman, be careful who you're having discussions with. He said to the woman, women like conversation, he said to the woman, Adam should have said, Eve, what are you having a conversation with the serpent for?
[8:47] Those of you who like cartoons and all kinds of things talking. The serpent said to the woman, and the serpent was a cunning and she said to the woman, has God indeed said you shall not eat about food now?
[9:07] This whole thing seemed to be about food. The first thing he said was that God said you shouldn't eat. As I've been teaching, the first commandment God ever gave is not that shall not steal.
[9:24] It's not that shall not be angry. The first commandment was not a prohibition. You know what a prohibition is? Don't do this, don't do it. God's first commandment was not a prohibition. It's authorization.
[9:36] Genesis chapter 2, verse 16. And God, do you see that? That's already allowed from the screen. Let's go. And Lord God commanded the man saying, of every tree of the garden you may freely eat.
[9:49] Do you see that? The first commandment God ever gave man was to eat. He never said worship. He said eat.
[10:01] Wow! Those of you think God created us to worship? That's another story. We'll talk about that later. He created us to eat. Girl, eat your McDonald's.
[10:15] Ah! He created us. He created us to eat.
[10:30] Eat. It's there. So the first commandment God gave man is that man. Before he gave the commandment, I will say then verse 9, and God planted a garden.
[10:41] God is a gardener. He planted the ground. God made every tree to grow and out of the... Okay, let's go to this, verse 7 and 8. And he spoke about God formed man out of the dust.
[10:54] Okay, verse 8. Let's go to the verse 8. And the Lord, verse 8, planted a garden. It's the word of Eden. The meaning of Eden is pleasure. God just wants you to have time.
[11:06] Dubai is nothing. Amen. Yes, God wants you to have pleasure. So he created the garden of Eden and he puts man whom he had formed inside the garden of pleasure.
[11:22] What do you think for just to go and enjoy? Just be eating. And just have fun. Just enjoy. It's a garden of pleasure.
[11:34] And God puts man in and then when he puts man in, he gave him an instruction. He commanded him that out of every tree of the garden, you are free to eat. God put you there to eat.
[11:45] I planted the garden and brought you in to eat. But when he planted the garden, the verse 9 says that there was every tree for food and there were other trees.
[11:58] The Bible says that out of the ground God made every tree to grow. Animals were not meant for eating. I'll show you when the change, the switch came. Why we eat animal.
[12:11] I'll show you. Okay. You want to know? I'll show you. You want to know? I'm going to show you. But it says that the Lord caused every tree to grow that was pleasant to the sight and good for food.
[12:27] The trees were, some of them you see that this is good. When you eat it, you go, hmm, this is good. I like this good. And some of the trees you look at it, you're even happy. It's very nice.
[12:39] Pleasant to the eyes. It's pleasant to the sight and good for food. And the tree of life was also there. So that means the tree of life is different from the other trees he just mentioned first.
[12:52] And the tree of life was also there. But prior to that, it says that God made every, out of the ground, the Lord God made every tree grow.
[13:03] that is, the tree that grew was pleasant to the sight and good for food. They grew from the ground. But did he say the tree of life also grew from the ground?
[13:15] And it only said that the tree of life was also there. Who planted the garden? God. So before those trees grew up, the tree of life was there.
[13:26] The tree of life was not made. It was there. God. God. God. God. So the tree of life was there and the trees that grew up that was good for food, pleasant to die, also grew up.
[13:40] And then there was another type of tree. The tree of life was also almost in the mist. That, when you read it just like that, you think it's amongst them.
[13:51] No. In the mist means that it's like when you enter this building right now from the back, the first thing that will catch your eye is not the lady's hair. It's the screen. So the tree of life was like in the mist.
[14:03] You can't miss it. It was the most prominent thing in the, you know, it's like when you go to, oh, that statue in, is it Colombia? That Jesus, Brazil.
[14:16] You know. New York too has the Statue of Liberty. There are some things, even in London, God, London, there are so many things so you don't really see the shard regularly. You know, but in some places you see, it dominates the skyline from whatever, whatever distance.
[14:30] so huge. So the tree of life was so prominent, even if you are blind, you will see it. But that word, in the mist, that's what it means.
[14:42] It was there. It was the center of everything going on. It was the center of attraction. It was in the mist, the tree of life. But that was not made to grow up.
[14:53] It was just there. And it says, the Bible says that, no, go back. Okay, verse 9. The tree of life was also there. And the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
[15:05] And the tree of knowledge of Google tree. Or G chat. The tree of, so then he said, the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
[15:18] So, and that one was also there. So now, we have seen three types. One type grew from the ground. The other type, two other types were just there. Then, in the verse 16, God comes and commands and he said, of every, how many trees were there?
[15:36] Three, how many types of trees? Three. One? The one that grew from the ground. Two? Two alive. Three? Three of the knowledge. So these were the three categories of trees.
[15:47] And God just comes and the first commandment God gives man, said, I put you here to dine, to eat, and so I command you every, every tree eats. That means every tree. God said, of every tree.
[15:59] He said, God commanded the man saying, of every tree of the garden, you are free. Now you may freely eat. Eat. I won't charge you. When you eat, it's your right to eat. I want you to enjoy. Enjoy. Because remember, he said the tree was pleasant to the side and good for food and the tree of life was also there and the tree of knowledge of good and evil was also there.
[16:18] He said, of every tree, eat. Every tree. But look at the next verse. Verse 17. But of the tree of knowledge. So he singled out one.
[16:30] He said, this one, don't go near it. So the first commandment was do. It was a prohibition. Eat. Then, he said, don't, he said, eat every tree, including the tree of life, which was not created, neither grew up from the ground.
[16:50] The tree of life is the tree. What's the tree of life? That means the tree that gives life. When you eat it, you have life. As soon as you eat that tree, you have secured life into yourself.
[17:05] How many of you know that what you eat, you count on it? When you eat something, it gets into your system, it gets assimilated and processed to become you.
[17:17] So the reason why you are like this is because of what you have been eating. It's true. How many of you have heard this?
[17:31] You are what? Yes. You are what? You eat. The tree of life was also there.
[17:43] And God said, eat, but don't eat. Then, Genesis chapter 3, how did the fall happen? The serpent came and spoke to the woman and he said, has God really said that she didn't eat this?
[17:56] In the, look at how she, he said, has God, the serpent, what, no, verse 1, the serpent, what he said? He said, and he said to the woman, has God indeed said you shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
[18:10] No. Whatever. In fact, the opposite. God said, eat every tree. So, the devil said, has God said you should not eat of every tree?
[18:24] God never said anything like that. And the woman said, look at what the woman said. She also got it wrong. She said, no, God said, we may eat the fruit of the tree of the garden.
[18:38] It's true. Was it true? God said, you may eat of the tree. God said, we may eat but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God said, you shall not eat nor.
[18:52] where did the touch come from? Where did the touch come from? She asked, that's how the Pharisees do.
[19:04] They add a little bit to what God has said. No, touch it. No, touch it. And the devil spoke. No, no, let's see what the devil said.
[19:19] You will, what you are saying, the word of God is saying, don't mind me, that's not the word of God. How can you tell me the Bible is the word of God? It's not the word of God. So the devil spoke and attacked the word of God the first.
[19:35] His first target when he came, he said, has God really said? Has God, man must not, Jesus said, man must not live by bread alone by every word. Matthew chapter 4 verse 4, Luke chapter 4 verse 4, man must not live by bread alone by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.
[19:49] How do you find a word that proceeds out of his mouth? Know what an angel is telling you, what is documented? He said the scriptures, John chapter 10 verse 4, the scriptures cannot be broken. The scriptures cannot be broken.
[20:03] So what is written is, this is the word of God. So the devil said, has God really said you should eat it? The woman said, God said we can feel it, but that one, we should not touch it.
[20:16] We should not eat it, not touch it. Then the devil said, God is lying. What? The serpent said, you will not surely die because God doesn't want you to enjoy your life.
[20:27] Go for your boyfriend. Go for your boyfriend. God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will open, will be open, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
[20:44] God is hiding something, doesn't want you to enjoy your life. all this burden, burden. You won't, you won't, live a soft life. God doesn't want you to live a soft life.
[20:58] Go to a foundation. Go to Morocco. Go in a guy. Take your girlfriend to vacation. Go in a house. I don't understand why a girl should go to share a hotel room with a man who has not married you.
[21:16] Hotel room. And you have finished bath in and then it's like, it's a little girl. Tomorrow you just move out. It's gone.
[21:28] Now you are in church. Thank God he left. Some of you, your biggest problem, if that guy didn't leave you, you wouldn't have come to church. Yes.
[21:41] I see God loves you so much. He kicked that bad guy out of your life. But, you are still, you are still bitter. And unfortunately, you are in church, but you still miss him.
[21:56] What is, what is strange about that? Don't you miss some things? Yeah. Please, don't let us pretend. Don't let us pretend. You miss some things. Because you were enjoying it when you were doing it.
[22:13] Thank you. People are hypocrites. You are behaving like it was nice. Please. Your best moments were that, but just that it couldn't be guaranteed.
[22:26] It didn't last. How many of you understand what I'm talking about? Sometimes we make change.
[22:37] Sometimes we make it look like going to these parties and having the red car. and wearing batty riders with crop top, with side boobs, with bum cheek showing, and then, and then you are dancing, you know, which, which man would you like it?
[23:02] Which, which, which, can I ask you a candid question, genuine question?
[23:15] Writing exam, steady for, to write an exam, midnight, learning, steady hard, to write an exam, that one, and playing video games, which is nicer?
[23:28] Video games. We are behaving like, oh, can you be playing video games? Yes, it's a place. It's nicer, it's easier. Can you imagine?
[23:39] Oh, yes. Oh, yes. So, being in church, it's, you see, I had a story, some, some guys, they're doing outreach, they have, I think, Salvation Army people, they've won this guy, and this guy, is a part of the, um, outreach team, he's been playing the, the drum, and the pastor, will preach afterwards, so when the pastor was preaching, he said, Johnny, the guy is called, let's say John, or Michael, Michael, Michael used to be alcoholic, and, but now he's in Christ, and ask him how he's finding his life, how are you finding his life?
[24:15] Oh, I'm just sitting here playing these boring drums. Sometimes, sometimes, being in church doesn't mean you have all the fun, because some of you, when we talk about fun, you've done things that you enjoyed, and you would like to do it again, just that it might cost you too much.
[24:46] So it's like, you have examined this study, and you are playing games, or watching, or whatever, you know, I don't know what people do, you know, on TikTok, or taking pictures, you know, that thing they do, filters, yes, you're doing all that, you know, when you have a major exam, what you are doing is easier, it's nicer, it's more fun, but boy, if you don't stop it now, and go and prepare for the exam, you'll be very miserable.
[25:15] So life comes with big responsibilities, not just fun. So then, sometimes you can be in church, but there are certain things you did in the world, if they had not been dangerous, you'd have had more fun.
[25:33] It's like, can you imagine me, if I know how to ride motorbike, motorbike, and I'm doing 200, or 180 miles per hour, what?
[25:45] It's fun, but if you fall, the reason why, the speed limit, is not because speeding is not fun. When you are younger, the younger you are, the more expensive your insurance, because when you are younger, you think more about fun than responsibility.
[26:08] But when you are driving, and you have your kids, and your children in the car, you drive with caution. But if you don't have any responsibility, you think that it's racing. You know, you are racing on the road, thinking it's that kind of, you think you are doing Formula One.
[26:22] Before you realize, you've lost your life. Many young people have died in accidents. Yeah. It's fun. How many of you have drunk, I've never gotten drunk before, so I don't know whether it's sensible or not.
[26:35] But sometimes people get so excited, they get drunk, and only God knows what happened afterwards. Some of you don't remember, your worst moments were, after you got drunk.
[26:46] The things you said, you went and held your sister's boyfriend. Because you were drunk. Then your sister found out, so all this time you like my wife.
[26:59] My wife. You see, it was nice getting, drinking and drinking, but the aftermath, there's something called, is it hangover?
[27:09] Yes. What's happening? I hear headaches. See, so, so, the fun is okay, but the cost, aftermath. So, God is not afraid of you, enjoying your life, but your destiny may pay dearly, more than you think.
[27:29] So, God is not, and the devil said, God doesn't want you to enjoy your life. No, it's not about that. If we are telling you, go back to school, it's not because we don't want you to enjoy your life. If we are telling you, break up with that boyfriend, who is messing you, break up with that girlfriend, that is affecting your life.
[27:46] If we are telling you to break up with him, it's not because you don't want to enjoy kissing, but we just want to know that you are not ready for that, girl. You'll be pregnant too quickly, because you are very fertile.
[27:57] I was preaching, I spoke about money after pill.
[28:09] Somebody was talking to me, he said, pastor, my heart's sunk, because you came and stood next to me, he said, and you have been going to the after, you are taking money after pill, and he said, you stood right in front of me, that morning, I'm just taking one.
[28:26] I said, wow, even me, I didn't know. Praise the Lord. So, the devil said, God is lying. He doesn't want you to enjoy your life.
[28:38] Now look at this. Did I tell you, I've never gotten drunk? I've never drank alcohol. But when you look at my life, and your life, you who have drunk a few times, whose life is better?
[28:50] whose life is better? I don't know what it means to be drunk. I don't, smoke has never gone through my nose. Chimney.
[29:05] Smoke has never gone through my nose. You have to tell me how it feels. I've never, you know the way they, how do you call it? Ours. Yeah, blow the holes.
[29:20] Sometimes there might be fun elements, but it will cost you. So, Christianity is not about, don't do this, don't do this, don't do this, don't do this. Christianity is more about, start enjoying Christ.
[29:32] When you start enjoying Christ, you realize that it's better than any, all the other things. God, has God said, he should eat. God didn't say, he should eat from every tree, he said eat.
[29:43] So, the devil managed to convince the woman. Now look at verse five. It says that, for God knows that the very day, you shall, your eyes will be open, you will not be tingled, you will be like God. Verse six says that, watch this, and when the woman, saw the tree, that it was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and the tree desirable, to make one wise, she took the fruit of it, and ate it.
[30:05] God said, the only one God said, don't eat, they ate it. Now, let me go. So, three categories of tree, the one that grew up from the ground, the one of life, and the one that God said, don't eat.
[30:15] Why? Because it signified the nature of the devil. It represented the nature, and from the dead, they ate it. Don't forget, you are what you eat. The nature of the devil checked into man, and watch this, and the body of man became flesh.
[30:35] It became flesh. And then man sinned further, by creating music, for an amusement, entertainment, and by killing one another, and then man's soul, now they formed their own religion, and so soul has also gone, flesh went, soul went, spirit went, and eventually, the entirety of humanity, the man, is called flesh.
[31:02] Flesh. So man, God cannot deal with man again. And you know, Genesis chapter 3, as soon as man ate it, and God drove them out of the garden, he sent, chapter 3, verse 23, 24, 25, sent an angel, we saw, to guard the tree of life.
[31:19] Because you can't add that one. So he drove them, drove out the man, and he placed the cherubim, that's a special type of angel, in the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword, which tends, turned everywhere, to guard the way, to the tree of life.
[31:36] So man cannot go to the tree of life. Initially, man was given the entitlement, to eat the tree of life, but because he ate the tree of, the knowledge of evil, which represented the nature of the devil, the nature of the devil checked in, you can't bring God's nature into you.
[31:51] The tree of life, was God's nature, waiting to check into man, so man can be one with God. But they didn't. That is what is called, the fall. This is very important.
[32:04] This is very important. You can never understand the gospel, without Genesis. You can never understand the gospel. The gospel is meaningless, in the absence of Genesis.
[32:17] Why do I need salvation? Because you are fall. You are a fallen human being. How did I fall? That's how I explain how he fell. Now we have to find our way back to God. God shows up.
[32:28] Adam! Where are you? Adam heard the voice of God. He was afraid, so he ran and went and hid. God said, where are you? He said, I heard your voice, and I was afraid. He said, why were you afraid?
[32:39] Because I was naked. Adam, who told you you are naked? Who told you? Who has been talking to you? Who told you you are naked? Adam! Have you eaten of the tree? I asked you not to eat.
[32:52] The woman. God ran to the woman. Woman, what have you done? The serpent. God said, the devil, I curse you. I curse you. And God said to the devil, the fruit, the seed of the woman shall bruise your head.
[33:05] You think you've ended them. Now, God told them, the very day you eat that tree, Genesis chapter 3, verse 17 and 18, you'll die. That's why the devil said, you will not die. God said, if you eat it, you shall surely die.
[33:18] But, when they ate it, and God pronounced curse on the devil, and he pronounced the outcome on the man and the woman, the Bible says that, and Adam called his wife. Oh, come on.
[33:30] Look at the name Adam gave to his wife. And Adam called his wife's name Eve. Why? Because she was going to be the mother of what? How can a dead person produce living person?
[33:42] Adam was prophesying, because we have met God. I have met God. I have met God. My wife, because we ate this thing, she's supposed to die. But Adam said, she's going to be the mother of the living. Because I've had God.
[33:55] God has spared me again. God is a God of mercy. Now, quickly. And, so that is what is called the fall, and the flesh. So, when I say the flesh, I'm not just talking about your meat.
[34:09] Okay. Your body tissue. I'm talking about the falling nature. That's what the Bible, when the Bible says flesh, much of the time, it's talking about the falling nature of humanity.
[34:23] This is very important to understand. Okay. So, in Genesis chapter 6, verse 3, God said, my spirit will no longer strive with man. Why? Because he is flesh. The spirit shall, my spirit shall not strive with man forever.
[34:36] For indeed, for he is indeed flesh. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. So then, oh, watch this.
[34:51] God created humanity, and man fell from grace. In Romans chapter 3, verse 23, for all have sinned, and have fallen short.
[35:02] All? I didn't do what Adam did. Oh, no. Adam was our federal representative. So, whatever he did, he represented all of us.
[35:13] So, we didn't have to do what he did. Because he was our representative, whatever he did covers us all. If he had eaten the good fruits, the tree of life, we would have also been after.
[35:25] Bible says in Genesis chapter 5, and Adam gave birth to a seed after his kind, after he fell. If he had given birth before he fell, then there would have been two-tiered, police, sorry, two-tiered humanity.
[35:40] There would have been two-tiered humanity. Those who would have been able to eat of the fruit tree of life before Adam fell. But Adam had not had a child yet, and he fell.
[35:52] And then after he fell, Genesis chapter 5, he gave birth. Oh, and Adam lived 100 years, and begot a son in his own life. Ah! That was the problem.
[36:05] You are too much like your daddy! So, be careful when you are upset with your daddy. You are too much like your mom!
[36:19] Boy, I know she's skinny, but look at her mom. That's her destination. Oh, I know she's skinny. Adam gave birth after his kind.
[36:38] And so, he gave birth to a dead soul. From that time, in Romans chapter 5, verse 12, it says that sin came through Adam, one man.
[36:51] And by Adam, one man, sin passed through all birth. We call it all sinned. Or they didn't have to sin like the other. Do you know, I'm going further from my main message, but I think it's worth letting you understand the gospel.
[37:06] You've got to understand the gospel. Romans chapter 1, chapter 5, verse 12, it talks about how, just as through one man, sin, how did sin enter the world? Through one man.
[37:17] And how did death come? Through sin. And that death spread on all men. Why? Because, but not all sinned. No, but he represented us.
[37:29] So, all of us were sinned. That's why Levi, in Hebrews chapter 7, he paid tithe in Abraham. When Abraham paid tithe to Melchizedek, Levi, who was not yet born, so to speak, the Bible says, so to speak, he also paid tithe.
[37:46] Why? Because he was in the loins of Abraham. When Abraham met Melchizedek, the priest of the Most High, and he paid tithe to Melchizedek. So, Levi, who was not even yet born, also had paid tithe.
[38:00] Your worship to God affects your descendants. And, man fell. This is so important.
[38:10] This is so important. Without having not done the sin. Now, two sins that account to the reason why you go to hell. The reason why anybody will go to hell is not because of what they have done, but because of who they are.
[38:23] That's important. People go to hell not because of them. Because of Adam. Adam is the reason why you are going to hell.
[38:37] Not because of your boyfriend. Not because of your girlfriend. Not because of your fraud. Not because of your lies. But because of Adam. I'm getting some way.
[38:51] When Bible says we are sinners, it's not because of the things we have done that we are classified. Sinners in the sight of God. Because Bible says that it is evident from the Lord that in the sight of God, nobody can be justified.
[39:06] You cannot do so much good. No. Don't keep all the law of God so you to look good. You can't keep law so much that now you have become a different race.
[39:19] Even if a chimpanzee shaves, he can't win prime ministerial election. Can he? Because he's not a human being. You can train your dog, but you can't train your dog to be watching news, Fox News, or Sky News.
[39:32] And your dog, one day he came from work, he's holding a remote. He's like, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Why? He can't do that because he doesn't have a human nature. So, when you are talking about heaven, we are talking about people with a God nature.
[39:49] It has not got to do with what you have done. It has to do with who you are. Therefore, if any man be in Christ, wow.
[40:00] I will show you a text in Romans chapter 5. We are reading verse 5, right? Verse 12. Look at verse 19. Verse 19. It said, verse 19. Romans 5, 19, please.
[40:12] For as by one man's disobedience, the many were made what? The many were made what? So before you were born, you were already a sinner. You were a sinner on arrival.
[40:26] Why? Because Adam gave birth according to his kind. So no one can ever be born naturally a child of God.
[40:38] Everyone gets born falling. That's why no one taught you how to lie. Do you understand that? It's there. I just showed you.
[40:49] It said, because of Adam's disobedience, many were made sinners. But that's not the end of the story. So if you are going to go to heaven, you can go on your own ticket. Because you are going based on the nature you have.
[41:03] So how can I get that nature? He said, so also by one man's obedience, the many were made right. So it is not your righteousness that takes you to heaven. But Christ's obedience, Christ's righteousness, is what takes you to heaven.
[41:16] Do you understand that? Do you understand that? That's the gospel. The gospel is so good news that you don't have to do anything to be righteous. My goodness.
[41:27] I didn't know that. You don't have to do anything good to be righteous, else the thief on the cross wouldn't have been able to go to paradise. He puts his faith in Jesus, and faith alone in Jesus makes you qualify to receive the nature of God.
[41:43] Because you believe in him, you receive the nature of God. If I were you, I would shout hallelujah. Is somebody learning something?
[41:55] This is very important. This is the only, this is, only Christianity can teach you this. Christianity affords us the nature of God.
[42:06] Every religion tells you about what you should do. Do this. Do that. Don't do this. You can't do this. You have to do this. You have to do this. You have to. Christianity, I don't have time for this. Because a decorated donkey is still a donkey.
[42:20] I don't, I just showed you something that the religious church will not tell you. Religion is all about what you do. But Christianity is all about what he did for you.
[42:33] Hallelujah. Praise God. Lovely. Lovely. So, Romans chapter 3, it says that, but the righteousness of God apart from the law.
[42:47] What? Because why was the law given? Wait, wait, wait. Take it off. Wait, wait, wait. Why was the law given? The law was given so people can tick the boxes.
[42:58] If you're unable to tick, you tick. Then I'm fine with God. But they tried to tick the boxes and they still are not fine with God. They still are not fine. But I have to be right before God. So, God said, don't worry.
[43:09] I have another system to come make somebody right outside, apart from the law. It's there. Romans chapter 3, verse 21, said the righteousness of God apart from or outside the law is revealed.
[43:21] Being witnessed by the, even the law and the prophets said this is authentic. What's the righteousness? That, the righteousness that comes by faith. Faith. Even the righteousness of God through Jesus, through faith in Jesus Christ.
[43:38] That's what church is about. Putting your faith in Jesus Christ. Putting your faith not in your discipline. Putting your faith not in your character, the strength of your character. Putting your faith not in your history.
[43:49] Put your faith in Jesus Christ. Devil, don't come and tell me how good you have been. It's not necessary. Someone came to Jesus and he said, what good thing must I do to be saved? Jesus said, go and sell everything you have. Give it to the poor.
[44:00] He said, I can't do this. He said, then you can't be saved. If you are talking about good thing, then go and do. No amount of good thing can save anybody. Romans chapter 3, chapter 8 verse 3. He said, for what the law could not do.
[44:14] Why? It was weak through the, what the law could not do. Why? Because it was weak through the, what's the flesh? The, the fallen man.
[44:26] The fallen man does not do God. The fallen man cannot do God because it doesn't naturally have what it takes to get to God.
[44:39] How can I just decide to fly by myself without any help of technology? Okay, I stand here. Okay, I believe I can fly. You can't fly. You can't fly.
[44:52] Man cannot serve God. The Bible says that none seek God. Romans chapter 3, verse 11. No one all have gone astray. None. There's none who understands.
[45:03] There's none who seeks after God. So when someone says, I'm seeking God. They are not seeking God. They are seeking systems. They are seeking religion. None seeks God. It's God. The Bible says, for the Son of Man came to seek us.
[45:16] He came to look for us. He came to look for us. He came to. So when you come to church, you are preaching, you can tell. The pastor is trying to talk to me. Yes, because God is trying to reach out to you. You can't reach out to God. God reaches out to us.
[45:27] God came to seek us. The Son of Man came to seek that which was lost. To seek and to save that which was lost. So man fell.
[45:38] Let me just run up. Man fell and he became flesh. And because of that, all have fallen. All.
[45:49] There's nobody who is righteous enough to have a tick from God because of their behavior. God doesn't need you. You eat nice rice but it enters your system.
[46:01] Your system supports it. Because your problem is not what you do. It's who you are in your core. We are fundamentally flawed and depraved.
[46:14] How can you save yourself then? Somebody has to do it for you. For God so loved the world. Somebody has to do it for you. That's the gospel. The gospel says that somebody paid the price so you can be free.
[46:29] Now let me come back to the main point. The reason I went to Genesis. I haven't told you when we can eat meat. I think I need to do that thing. Can I do that thing and then go to it? Are you interested?
[46:42] Because we have to settle this thing. It's meat. Are we allowed to eat meat? When I say meat, I mean anything with blood inside. I'm not going to eat that animal.
[46:54] Okay. So man fell and Genesis chapter 4 Adam's wife gave birth to Cain and Abel.
[47:05] Cain was taking care of the crops. He was producing crops. And God, they came to give sacrifice to God. Cain brought from the crops, the best of his crops.
[47:17] But when God was cursing Adam, he was cursing the devil and he was pronouncing judgment on Adam. He said, the earth, the ground is cursed for your sake. Genesis chapter 3 from verse 17.
[47:29] The ground is cursed for your sake. Adam, wow, you shall eat of it. And he says that curse is the ground for your sake. And then God, Adam taught his children, Cain and Abel.
[47:43] So Abel knew what to do. Cain knew what to do. And God said, bring me a sacrifice. Cain went and brought fruits from the ground that God has cursed. And Abel brought a lamb.
[47:59] Because no one, after the fall, listen to what I'm saying. After the fall, no one can get to God without blood. A bloodless sacrifice is apparent to God because of the fall.
[48:13] Because the wages of sin is dead. So if it's death, blood must go. So Cain brought the flock, the fat one.
[48:24] He brought it. Why? Because that had blood. When God sees the blood, he can pad it. And Abel brought something that doesn't have blood and he brought it from the ground.
[48:35] God, turn his face. I don't like it. Take it away. And God accepted the sacrifice of Abel and Cain was upset. And God said, if you do right, shall you not be accepted?
[48:46] That means he knew what to do. He said, Cain, if you do well, will you not be accepted? You should have done what you know. But if you don't do well, sin lies at your door. His desire is to have you.
[48:57] So the sin that sends us to hell, number one, the sin we inherit. Number two, the sin we commit because of our sin nature. You have a sin nature because of the flesh. Bible says that for no one can, in Romans chapter 8, verse 6, and verse 7, verse 8.
[49:13] Romans chapter 8, verse 6, verse 7. For the carnal mind is dead. To be spiritually minded is life. Let's go to verse 7. For the carnal mind is enmity against God.
[49:27] For it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can, be, verse 8. It says that, so then, he, oh, oh, who, those who are in the, what's the meaning of flesh?
[49:46] You see? Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. It's not, when you say you are in the flesh, that means that you are operating from your fallen nature.
[49:59] I'm teaching better than you are saying amen. Amen. So, man fell, man couldn't help himself, and God now has to still fulfill his plan.
[50:19] So God said, out of humanity, I'm going to call somebody, a group of them, and set them aside. So God called Abraham because he wants a chosen group of people.
[50:31] He called Abraham and he gave him Isaac, and from Isaac came Jacob and then the tribe of Israel. So they became a special people of God. But God said, hey, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
[50:43] Before you go further, you can relate with me. One, if you have to relate with me, there must be blood. So in Genesis chapter 17, God came to Abraham and from verse one, he told Abraham, walk before me and be perfect.
[51:01] He was 99 years old, and God said, walk before me and be perfect. And God made a covenant with Abraham, and that's where the first circumcision ever happened. Ah, and Abraham was circumcised.
[51:15] And when he was, do you know what circumcision is? to put away the foreskin or the flesh. Circumcision means putting away of the flesh.
[51:31] I'm getting somewhere. So Isaac was born after Abraham was circumcised. After Abraham was circumcised, Isaac was produced.
[51:46] And when Isaac was born, he was circumcised. Every Jewish boy who must be in covenant with God and part of God's chosen people must be circumcised. So circumcision became a sign of the covenant, which means that the flesh has been set aside so God can deal with you.
[52:01] So set aside the flesh so he can deal with you. But it was a sign. It was a symbol in the physical. Romans chapter 2, verse 28, he is a Jew. He's not the one who is a Jew out at war, but the one who is truly Jew.
[52:13] He said, for he is not a Jew who is one outward, nor of circumcision. That's where I'm going. So when you hear the word circumcision, you are talking about putting away or putting aside of the flesh so you can have dealings with God.
[52:31] God called these people, called the Jews. He called them the chosen people and he showed them that for us to have relationship, you have to learn how to put aside the flesh. Why? Because man has become flesh because of the form.
[52:42] So put aside the flesh so we can have some deliberation dealings. And God was dealing with them for years and everyone outside the Jews are Gentiles. What does that mean?
[52:54] God can deal with you. God can deal with you. You're Gentile. What have I done wrong? No, it's not about what you have done wrong. You are no in covenant. What about, why won't God allow me? Can I go circumcise?
[53:05] No, no, you are no in covenant with God. You have to, and those who are in covenant must be circumcised. That shows that they are put aside the flesh. And so every Jewish boy on the eighth day must be circumcised.
[53:17] Philippians chapter 3, verse 5, it said circumcised on the eighth day. Wow. Circumcised the eighth day of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of John the Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews concerning the law, a Pharisee talking about Paul.
[53:34] Circumcised on the eighth day. Am I preaching at all? Circumcised on the eighth day. So when you are, for you to be in covenant with God, it's not so much about your behavior, but about the covenant terms.
[53:47] The flesh must be set aside. The flesh is God's biggest problem in your life. Now, Ephesians chapter 2, verse 10.
[54:01] For we are the workmanship of, we are God's workmanship, created. You know, on the seventh day, God rested. He finished the creation by rested.
[54:13] And then now, He created again on the eighth day. That's why the church worships on the eighth day, not the Sabbath day. Church worships not on the Sabbath day, because Sabbath day is the day of rest.
[54:26] Eighth day is Sunday, the day of real beginning. God started creating again. So God created, I spoke about it extensively last Sunday, how we are the creation of God. Remember, God created, God created.
[54:38] But now, we are created in Christ Jesus unto goodwill. We are the workmanship of God. Now, let's go to the verse 11. That's where I want to end. All I've said is just so I can explain verse 11. Watch this.
[54:50] Let's all read verse 11. Let's go. Let's go. Remember that you once gentle out of the bed. Ah! Somebody show, hallelujah!
[55:01] Hallelujah! You! Once gentle. What's that meaning? In the flesh? I think you should know what that means. Remember!
[55:12] Don't forget to be sitting in church like you've been born again. You are God's assistant. Therefore, remember that you once Gentiles in the flesh who are called So, the Jews who had their relationship with God were called the circumcision.
[55:36] Those who didn't have relationship with God were called uncircumcision. So, it's not about whether you are a nice person, you are a good person, you are educated, you are not educated, you are a fornicator, you are not a fornicator, all those things are not paramount.
[55:49] The most important thing is are you circumcised, are you in the circumcision or you are not in the circumcision? So, it's to remember that you once Gentiles in the flesh who are called on circumcision by what is called the circumcision made in the flesh by hands.
[56:08] Now, second flesh there is not talking about the falling flesh, it's talking about physical. So, when you are reading your Bible and you don't take your time to find out what that means, you may misinterpret it.
[56:20] In the flesh means that in the physical. For Bible says in 2 Corinthians chapter 10 verse 4, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty through, it's not Ephesians rather, Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood.
[56:37] That flesh and blood there is not talking about falling humanity, it's talking about physical things. So, when you are reading your Bible and you come across the word flesh, it can mean the falling humanity, it can mean the skin tissue, or it can mean physical things.
[56:51] So, you have to find out what it's talking about before you run on a tangent to make deductions. Here, when it says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, it says we are not wrestling against things you can see.
[57:03] Simon Peter, in Matthew chapter 16, verse 16, blessed are you Simon Peter, for flesh and blood.
[57:14] When you come across the word flesh and blood, he's not talking about falling humanity, he's talking about physical entities. You can't go to school to be taught about Christ.
[57:25] Because flesh and blood cannot communicate Christ, it takes the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ. I am flesh and blood. When Jesus resurrected from the dead, he said I'm not a ghost, because a ghost has not got flesh.
[57:36] So, that flesh there, that means he had flesh. In fact, Bible says, because, ah, God has shudder, Baba. In Hebrews chapter 2, it says that, because, verse 14, because his brethren, look at that, Hebrews chapter 2, inasmuch as the children have partakers of flesh and blood, Jesus himself also likewise shared in flesh and blood.
[57:58] It doesn't mean shared in falling humanity, but he shared, he became, he became human beings, physical entity. So, when you come across flesh and blood, most of the time, when they are combined, flesh and blood, he's talking about physical entity, natural being.
[58:14] But, he says that you were circumcised, were called on circumcision, but by those who are called the circumcision made in the flesh by hands.
[58:27] That used to be our status. But has that changed? See what the next verse. that means, but at that time, you were without Christ. Being aliens from the commonwealth of, there's a lot packed in there.
[58:43] Aliens. So, watch this, watch this, watch this. He said, at that time, what time? The time when you were classified as the uncircumcision.
[58:53] You didn't have any relationship with God, but still are not circumcised. No, but when you are in Christ, when you come into Christ, Christ restores you. Christ brings you into the mainstream of those who are the chosen of God.
[59:06] That is why it says that the real Jew is not the one that is outside, but the one inward. Inward. When you come in the, when you are in Christ, you are not in the flesh.
[59:18] When you are in Christ, what I mean is, when you are in Christ, you are actually in covenant with God. When you are in Christ, you are the child of God. When you are in Christ, you have the life of God that was in the tree, the garden of Eden with the couldn't eat.
[59:33] No, the life of God has, oh my goodness, has come into you. However, the conundrum is, you have the life of God in you, and still you have your human flesh.
[59:46] Until you die, the flesh will trouble you. That's why even though you are born again, you still have erections at the wrong time. Oh. That's right.
[59:57] That's right. That's why you are born again, but still, how many of you sometimes have annoying feelings? Mm. Some people can't lift their hand because, see, usually, by experience, what is this?
[60:12] By experience, when I say these things, that happens to everybody. Those who can't lift their hand, they actually are living in it. Oh, yeah, yeah. Because it makes them, no, I don't want anyone to know. I already know.
[60:23] I already know. That's why you can't laugh the way everybody's laughing. No. No one gets born again and gets donated feeling, feeling free, negative feeling free life.
[60:35] No, no, no, no, no. You have feelings. You have emotions. You have anger. Sometimes you're very upset. Sometimes you feel like, I'm not really, am I interested in doing this church thing at all?
[60:49] Yes. Sometimes you, this thing is sometimes, I'm tired, I'm tired. You look at your friends, you feel like, can't I also enjoy this thing at all? Yeah. Wow. Sometimes you miss your boyfriend.
[61:02] Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh. You've had some good times in the past. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. We used to have some good times, but I still hate him.
[61:16] Sometimes you miss your girlfriend, especially with brothers. In the time of their month, this can be bad. Yeah.
[61:28] In their time of their month, men, it can be bad. Brothers can be bad, man. They feel so uncomfortable. They, they want to see something. They want to hold something. They want to, they want to kiss something.
[61:40] They want to do something to something. I want to, I mean, from my preaching the truth. Soon, I love you.
[61:59] Hallelujah. Oh, the flesh. Can you imagine? God saves us and chooses not to save our flesh. So, all your Christian life becomes, you are at war with the members of your flesh.
[62:16] Bible says, abstain from fleshly lust, which war against your soul. In the book of Peter, abstain from fleshly lust, because you are at war.
[62:29] Pretend like, yeah, everything is okay. So, if you're still having some feelings and struggles, you're making you upset, don't, no, no, you're not a hypocrite. It's just that, that's life. And if you can serve God in spite of your feelings, then your service is genuine.
[62:44] Wow. Oh God, if you can just give me some injections so I don't have feelings again, then I can serve you. It will be fake service. Yeah. It will be fake service.
[62:59] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Amen. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Praise God. It will be fake service. He said, you, remember, you were Gentiles in the flesh, called on circumcision.
[63:18] And let me end by explaining verse 12. He says that, at that time, you were without Christ. What does that mean? Christ is the center of everything God can do for anybody.
[63:30] So once you come into Christ, all those previous statuses are neutralized. You don't have to be circumcised in other to be accepted by God.
[63:42] Did you understand what I'm saying? You don't need circumcision. So that's why Romans chapter, in Acts chapter 15, verse 1, when the Judaizers, those of the circumcision, they came to Antioch and he told the brethren, unless you are circumcised, after the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.
[64:02] Paul said, what is this? What is this? We don't need circumcision. We don't need circumcision. Get it! You can, if you are not a Jew and you want to practice Judaism, you have to be baptized and be circumcised.
[64:16] That's a proselyte. You have to be baptized and be circumcised. So they think, they thought Christianity was an extension of Judaism. So to practice Christianity, you have to be circumcised.
[64:27] They are telling these Gentiles who don't have anything to do with circumcision that you have to be circumcised. And I'm sure some of them went there to be circumcised. Like the way some people tell you, this is a cult and you begin to believe them. They also want to be circumcised.
[64:42] Paul said, hey, hey, stop it! Stop it! No! You don't need that. You don't need that. For if any man be in Christ, he's a new Christian.
[64:53] The old has gone. Behold, all things have become new. New creation. The church is a new creation. Different, it was people taken out of the fallen men to become God's chosen.
[65:10] So how are Jews saved? Through Christ. How are Gentiles saved? Through Christ. So Christ is the common factor. He brings the Jews, he brings the Gentiles and in him, in him.
[65:21] That's why you see, in him, in him, in Christ, in him, in him. In Christ, all things are new, whether Jew or Greek, whether Gentile, or whether circumcised, or circumcised.
[65:34] Colossians chapter 2, chapter 3, verse 12, or, yeah, I think chapter 3, verse 11 and 12. Colossians chapter 3, verse 12, it says that, where, where, there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised or non-circumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, or free, but Christ is all, and that's all that matters.
[65:57] Because when Christ is in you, then God sees you, watch, this is very important. When you have Christ in you, then God doesn't see you as Ebenezer, he sees you as Christ.
[66:09] So when God is dealing with you, he doesn't deal with you based on you, but based, this with you, based on the Christ in you. Christ in you, the hope of glory. Christ in you, the hope of Christ.
[66:20] That is what determines who is a child of God. That is not determining who is part of God's church. Not attending church and being inducted into membership, that doesn't make you a child of God.
[66:32] What makes you a child of God is Christ in you. Christ in you. And when Christ is in you, now you are part of the commonwealth. Oh, oh. It's there.
[66:43] Verse 12, I need to finish that. I need to finish. Please, give me three minutes. I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. All right, let me finish what I, which scripture was just down?
[66:55] Ephesians 2. Okay, it says that being aliens. Can you imagine? That's what we used to be. And, can you imagine? Aliens are telling you how you should worship God.
[67:06] someone with, has an alien nature. They think, they, they, they, they, they can be a bishop. You can be a bishop in some church and still you are not a child of God.
[67:19] It's just a career. Just a career. That's how you can have sinners who say they are bishop, but they don't see anything wrong with sin. Well, what kind of bishop? bishop.
[67:30] You better label big shop, not bishop. You can be a priest. You can be, there are people who are called pastors and some people have even titles as prophets and apostles and they are not born again.
[67:43] So please, don't let titles fool you. There's no entitlement in titles. So let's, let's leave that. But the point, the point, the point I'm making here is that you, people are in the church and yet they are aliens from the, the life of God.
[68:01] They are aliens. Colossians chapter, um, chapter, one verse 21, I think so, or two verse 21. Talks about, and you were once, you were, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked words, yet now he has reconciled.
[68:17] What? That's our status. We were aliens. So Ephesians says that we were aliens. E.T. Think about it.
[68:28] How dare someone who is an alien be advising you on how you can worship God? They are complaining about your outreach because they are aliens. But I've always been in church before you were born.
[68:38] It doesn't matter. Being in church doesn't mean you have the life of God. That's right. Because the flesh and blood has not revealed this to you. To find, to have the life of God, only God must be working in your life.
[68:49] And I can tell you, your life is bankrupt of the work of the Holy Spirit. That's why you talk the way you talk. Be careful who is advising you about your worship. They will brand us as cult because they are aliens. They are aliens.
[69:01] They are aliens. They hold the Bible but they are aliens. Holding the Bible doesn't mean you know God. Aliens. It's the way you were like that.
[69:12] When they talked and looked at them and said, I used to be like you anyway. How many of you before you found Jesus used to blast the church? He saw people like us. He saw that. You even used to mock us with our thoughts.
[69:24] How many of you used to look down on those of us who used to preach? Some of you, when they were about to preach to you on the street, he said, I don't do those things. Today, look at you. You are the preacher now.
[69:35] You are the preacher now. You are the preacher now. You are the preacher now. Shout out hallelujah. Why did you say I don't do those things? Because you were an alien. You were an alien. When you are an alien, you think you are, you know what you're talking about, you know.
[69:49] That's why I feel sorry for some people of some religion who tell you that the Bible contradicts himself. Because they're aliens. They tell you there's one prophet. One prophet. Prophet. Excuse me.
[70:02] They're aliens. They're aliens. You can be practicing religion. Even some people who are practicing Christianity are aliens. How much more others who are practicing other religion?
[70:16] Someone says, I'm 80s. And he's trying to tell you that why are you going to church? Excuse me, I'm alien. Aliens. I want you to know that people can think they understand Christianity.
[70:26] Your father is a pastor and so what? You are still an alien. I didn't say you're an idiot. No, you are not. Maybe you are very intelligent. But you are an alien. Alienated from the life of God.
[70:38] And guess what? You are far from the commonwealth. Push it on the screen. You did it at that time. You were without Christ. Being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenant of promise.
[70:52] Having no hope without God in the world. The commonwealth of Israel is the blessings of God. The things God has committed to his people. I'm there for you. When you pray, he will answer.
[71:03] When we are in trouble, he will fight for us. These are the benefits of being the chosen of God. Praise the Lord. Thank you for choosing to listen to this message by David Entry.
