Christ Is Our Peace

[0:14] May Jesus Christ reveal himself to you as you listen. Ephesians chapter 2, verse 14. Let me read from verse 13 so that I can get it within context.

[0:27] Verse 13 says, but now I think it's better I go to verse 12. Verse 12 says that I think it's better I go to verse 11. Verse 11 says that I can hear verse 11 advising me that I think you'll be smart if you go to verse 10.

[0:48] So verse 10, no, we can't go too far. Verse 10 is a peaceful guy. Verse 10 is a peaceful guy. He works with the UN, so. For we are, excuse me, King James.

[1:01] For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. Wherefore, remember that ye, being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called on circumcision by that which is called circumcision in the flesh made by hands.

[1:21] That at that time you were without Christ. Being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

[1:35] But now in Christ Jesus, ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Jesus.

[1:48] So last week, I took my time to speak about the blood. We have been made nigh. In other words, we have been brought close. We are very far.

[1:59] But now we have been brought close to what? Close to God. By the blood of Jesus. Now look at the next verse. Verse 14. Let's all read the alarm from the screen if you don't mind. Is that okay?

[3:11] How many of you prefer peace to food? You have to think about it.

[3:40] You prefer peace. Many ladies who are a bear wise, it's not money they want from a guy.

[3:51] A guy who can give them peace. Peace. They will prefer a man who might not have too much money. But nowadays everybody wants some money.

[4:02] So, a man who might not have too much money. But they have peace with him. Than the guy who has money and other women are competing with him. Ah. Oh, sorry.

[4:15] Yeah, you don't like that. But a genuine lady will never compromise her peace in the relationship. For money or for holidays. Peace is important.

[4:30] One of the reasons why we have so many influx of people coming to UK looking for asylum is because there's peace. Yeah. Peace is so important.

[4:41] One of the things that really breaks my heart about people is when you are, you live in a family and there's no peace between mom and dad.

[4:57] Every time. And sometimes your heart is broken. I know there are people here who don't like going home. You don't like going home. Because there's no peace. Most of the time, when men marry and he goes to work, he doesn't like coming home early.

[5:12] It's because of the tiger at home. Because he knows by the time he's coming. I'm telling you why some boys don't stay in some girls' lives. Every time.

[5:23] Where were you? Who were you talking to? When are you coming? Every time. Hey. And let me see your phone. Who are you? You know, the man will run away. That's why there's no need you be in a relationship with a man you can't trust.

[5:41] Because you have to trust him not to check his phone. But if you don't trust him, you have to monitor him. And they don't like monitoring. Because his mom has done enough. He doesn't want you to also come and now add peace.

[6:00] Peace. Peace. I'm talking about peace. The Bible says, first of all, if you want peace, don't pursue things. Pursue Christ. He himself is our peace. It's in the Bible.

[6:23] Who is himself is our peace. Jesus. Jesus. In what way is he our peace? Number one. Number one. Number one. Many people, the reason why some people don't want to go to here church.

[6:36] I don't want to hear that. They don't have peace with God. They don't have peace with God. They don't have peace with God. My pastor, sometimes I meet people.

[6:48] People, they say, yeah, pastor. Oh, yeah, pastor. Oh, no. That's bad news for me. They don't like it. Because they don't have peace with God. It's important if you invite them to church, they don't want to come. Some of you.

[7:00] It's because you like the girl. That's why you came. You didn't know you were coming to meet me. You wouldn't have come. You didn't know I would be here.

[7:13] You came because that girl, nice girl, invited you. You were following somebody's backside to church. But the good news is you are here.

[7:33] Why am I saying that some people wouldn't want to go to church because they don't want to, they don't have peace with God. That's okay. If you don't go to church, no one can do anything to you.

[7:47] Other religions, they might do something to you. But in Christ, in Christianity, no one can force you. No one can ever be a Christian by force. Every other religion, they can force you to be.

[8:00] But Christianity, you can never be. Even if your father is a Christian, it doesn't make you a Christian. If you're, no, Christian is even too. If your father is a bishop, it doesn't make you a Christian.

[8:13] Your father can be the pope and you will die and go to hell. Nobody ever gets born a Christian. No! You can't be born a Christian.

[8:25] Because you have to believe in Jesus to be a Christian. You have to make a decision that made up my mind that I will serve Jesus. Because he's the only one who can give me peace with God. He himself is our peace.

[8:38] When you are not in Christ, you don't have peace with God. You don't have peace with God. I don't know how many of you have ever been so sick, you thought you were going to die.

[8:50] Then you begin to beg, God, God, please don't kill me. God, please don't let me die. If you die right now, where are you going to go? It's not good news. Because you don't have peace with God.

[9:04] Oh, but you know, God is good. God cannot look at you and say, allow me to go to hell like that. Really, he doesn't want you to go to hell. That's why he's doing something about it now. Because when you die, now you have to be judged by your own works.

[9:18] He will judge you by your own works and you know you are not perfect. You are not perfect. Even if there is, okay, if you are going to buy a wedding dress and there's a blood stain here, will you buy it?

[9:33] You can buy it. Stain! Oh, but it's just a small stain. Ah! Ah! Still, all is net and the underarm is ripped.

[9:45] They are doing half price. And you want to wear it to your wedding. You can't. Even though the defect is not 100%.

[9:56] It's not everywhere. It's not massive. That small, slightly, watch this, slightly soiled, is greatly reduced in value. Slightly soiled.

[10:23] I've been doing this for 34 years. I have peace with God. I'm one of the happiest. I'm one of the happiest men on earth. Do I look sad?

[10:33] No. Do I look depressed? No, no. No, no. No, no, no. No, no, no. I am a blessed man. Yes. Yes. For 34 years I've been working with Jesus.

[10:45] I don't have better yesterday. Every day is better than the previous day. I'm not afraid even to die. Why? Because I have peace with God.

[10:57] Brothers and sisters, that's what I want to introduce to you. He himself is at peace. Romans chapter 5 verse 1 said, therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with.

[11:12] Did you see that? Some people don't have peace with God. Some people don't have peace with God. We have peace. Who are the we? Those of us who are in Jesus. We have peace with God.

[11:23] We have peace with God. Romans chapter 8 verse 6, it says that to be spiritually minded is peace and life. Life and peace. If your mindset is spiritual, you have peace.

[11:35] You have peace. Not only in your mind. Not only in your soul. But also in your body. In your body. I have peace in my body.

[11:48] I think two months ago, I went for thorough examination. Went to the doctors. For thorough examination. Proper thorough examination. And my eye difference can't differ.

[12:00] Thorough blood test. Everything. The professor looked at me. He said, you are such a healthy man. Wow. Hallelujah. I have peace with God.

[12:14] And it's reflecting in every aspect of my life. It's not just I'm active. I'm not active. This is my life. It's my life.

[12:25] It's my life. I have peace. I have peace. How about you? I'm introducing you to the peace of God. I prophesy the peace of God over your life.

[12:38] I speak peace over your life. I speak peace over your life. I speak peace over your life. I speak peace over your life. I speak peace over your life.

[12:49] In the name of Jesus. Peace. Peace. Please sit down. One minute. Let me finish this. We have peace with God. Romans chapter 14 verse 7.

[12:59] It said righteousness. Peace. Oh. Joy in the Holy Ghost. That's the kingdom of God. If you're in the kingdom of God, you have peace. Because it's a righteousness.

[13:11] You only don't have righteousness. You have peace. And you have joy. These three things. That's the definition of the kingdom of God. If you don't have it, you are not in the kingdom. Righteousness.

[13:22] Peace. Joy in the Holy. For the kingdom of God is not in eating and drinking. But righteousness. Peace. Joy. Righteousness.

[13:34] Peace. Joy. Can I hear you? Righteousness. Peace. Joy in the Holy Ghost. One more time. Righteousness. Peace. Oh. Some of you are not saying. Don't you want peace?

[13:45] If you believe in the peace of God. Say it loud. Let's go. Righteousness. Peace. Joy in the Holy Ghost. That's the kingdom of God. Romans chapter 15 verse 13.

[13:57] It says that. And the God. It says. Now may the God of hope. Fill you with all joy. And peace. How do you get it? In believing. You believe in Jesus.

[14:09] Peace begins to come towards you. What first? The first piece is the peace with God. Then it begins to affect your natural life. In your education.

[14:23] In your family life. In your financial life. In your health. It begins. Peace begins to. Begin to. Take over every aspect of your life. Peace.

[14:35] Peace. The songwriter says. Let your living waters. Flow. Now when you have the peace of Christ, God has drawn my mind, all my gifts and burdens unto you.

[15:09] Ah. Now when you have the peace of God, in times, watch this, watch this, in times of crisis, crisis comes to anybody and everybody.

[15:22] Life has sharp turns, ups and downs. You have life when everything is always one way, always happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy. No, no, no. There are happy moments and sad moments.

[15:36] There are happy meals and Big Mac. They are different, different, different, different. Life!

[15:50] Those of you who are familiar with the hospital life support machine, the graph is always not straight. If it's straight, someone is dead. Flat line.

[16:01] Flat line means someone is dead. Why is it like this? Right? That's life. That's life.

[16:12] But if you don't have Christ in the low moments of life, what are you going to do? And in the high moments of life, you make foolish decisions. If you don't have Christ, even your happy decisions, your decisions in your happy moments will be very, very, very worrying.

[16:32] And if you don't have Christ, your decisions in the bad moments. How many of you have had some bad days before? Bad days. Sometimes when you have bad days, it's like, that's why people say I want to end my life.

[16:45] I want to end my life. Life is not worth it. Hey! Life is worth it. I have a good news for someone who wants to end your life. You want to end your life.

[16:56] Jesus says, okay, then give it to me. Since you don't like it, give it to me and see what I can do with it. Give it to me and see what I can do with it. Give it to me. Give it to me. Give it to me. Give it to me.

[17:07] Don't wish to die because a boyfriend broke up with you. It's a sign that he had to run for his life, actually. Peace.

[17:18] Peace in believing. Peace. Let's all say that together. Peace in believing. Oh, let's say it well. Let's go. Peace in believing. May the God of hope, let's say it well.

[17:29] Let's go. Peace in believing. May the God of hope, that means when you have him, you have hope. The God of hope fill you with all joy. Like, there's a difference between happiness and joy.

[17:42] Joy is based on the spirit. Happiness is based on happiness. So activities. That's why you need, what's that name? Smart something. Smart something.

[17:53] Web. Smart, web. To make you happy. You need nightclub to make you happy. Then afterwards, you are down. You are down. You need alcohol to make you happy.

[18:06] Afterwards, you have, is it what? Hangover. Hangover. Hangover. I hear hangover is very bad. It's horrible. Have you had some before? Yes. How many times? Quite a few.

[18:17] Once. Yeah. I hear it's horrible. Is it headaches? Yes. I think they're tapping on that. Oh, your tummy too? Yes. Oh, talk to me. Your tummy too? Yes.

[18:28] Wow. What happens to your tummy? You'll be, you'll be throwing up? Oh. Oh, no. So why people do it? And then you are flat.

[19:05] Oh. We have peace. He himself is our peace. And then therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God.

[19:21] Righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost. That is the kingdom of God. For the kingdom of God is not in food or in drink. Righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost.

[19:35] Romans 8, 6. I got it out already. Romans 8, 6 says that to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

[19:49] Peace matters. Final scripture. Let me add two scriptures. I don't comment too much. Jesus, in John chapter 14, verse 28, he breathed on them and he said, my peace I give to you.

[20:03] Verse 27, sorry. Peace I live with you. My peace I give to you. Watch this. Not as the world gives to you. Not as the world do I give to you.

[20:15] Let not your heart be troubled. Let it not be afraid. Because it's I give you my peace. I know some of you are here. You might be having some serious medical conditions.

[20:26] I'm here to tell you. Let not your heart be troubled. Maybe you don't even know what's going to happen between now and the end of the year because of that court case.

[20:41] If you are in Christ, let not your heart be troubled. Let not your heart be troubled. Maybe because of what happened recently, you are afraid you are pregnant.

[20:54] He said, let not your heart be troubled. Believe in Jesus. It doesn't mean you will undo what you did in the past.

[21:05] But he will see you through. God can see you through. You don't have to be worried and you don't have to be afraid. God can see you through. Last scripture, Philippians chapter 4.

[21:18] Philippians chapter 4, verse 6 and 7. Now when you are in Christ, it doesn't mean everything will be straightforward, everything will be okay.

[21:29] But it says that, let not your heart be troubled. Alright? It says that, be anxious for nothing. Anxiety is a reflection of lack of peace.

[21:41] Anxiety. Stress. I mean, when you look at the way around my schedule. Monday, last Sunday I preached.

[21:52] Monday I had a long evening meeting with a team of people. Tuesday, I had a long meeting with a huge group of people. Wednesday, I was preaching somewhere in East London.

[22:05] Thursday, I was preaching somewhere in East London. Meanwhile, during the day, different schedules and meetings. Friday was another very busy day. Then I had to be in a huge meeting in East London.

[22:19] And then, yesterday, early morning, I woke up with the news that one of the children, today is his birthday, 10 years old. Today, he will be exactly 10 years. He passed yesterday. Heart attack.

[22:31] Heart attack. So, I had to go to the family. I was on my way going to Reading for the camp. I had to go to the family. Go and pray with them. Stand with them. Encourage them. Finish.

[22:42] Go to Reading. Stood on my feet all day. Then finish. Got back. Got back home around 2 a.m. Went to just catch some rest. Almost at 3. Wake up in the morning.

[22:54] It was Friday night into Saturday. I slept after 3 a.m. Same. And woke up early to go to Reading. And then, slept. Woke up. Been here in church in the morning.

[23:06] Have different meetings. Solving problems of people's private problems. And then, coming to KP2. Finishing this evening. I'll get home definitely almost midnight. Very tired.

[23:17] But I don't have stress. That must be the peace of God. That must be the peace of God. Tomorrow, he said, Oh, another. It's not resting for me.

[23:28] It's from one thing to the other. One thing to the other. But the peace of God can make a difference. So he said, be anxious for nothing. But in everything, by prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known unto all.

[23:42] Learn how to talk to God. Some of us can't talk to God because you don't have peace with God. How can you go to God when you don't have peace with God? Let your requests be made known unto him.

[23:56] And the Bible says that. Ah, look at the next verse. Let's go read it out. Let's go. And the peace of God is of us who will understand you, who are your hearts and minds.

[24:07] Christ Jesus. The peace of God, it surpasses. Surpass means it goes beyond understanding. What's understanding? You can make sense of it. The peace of God is like sometimes it's nonsense.

[24:20] Because you are going through so much and yet you are still fine. You are going through so. People go through half what you go through and they are in hospital. Or they have mental, nervous breakdown, mental breakdown.

[24:33] Half of what you go through. And you are going through all that and you are peaceful. The peace of God does not make sense. When people are expecting you to be crying and losing weight and gaining weight.

[24:47] Because you are so stressed. You go through what stresses others and you have so much peace. And he doesn't feel it. There is some peace that God can give you. I don't know who I am talking to.

[24:58] Young man. Your friends think you are okay. But you know you are fearful. You are afraid for your life. You feel like some people even want to kill you. You don't have peace. When you are walking you are always running away from your shadows.

[25:12] What kind of punishment is this? You don't have peace. But you know it starts with having peace with God. Today I stand here as a servant of God. And as a prophet.
