[0:21] Do you mind putting your hands together for Jesus? Praise the Lord. It's so nice to be a Christian. The best thing that can happen to you ever, anybody ever, is being a Christian. Christianity is the only organization and a system that can make you live without fearing death.
[0:53] When you encounter the God of church, fear of death or death loses its hold and intimidation over you. Hebrews chapter 2 says that, verse 14, because his brethren or the sons were fledged for as much as the children are partakers of flesh and blood. What does that mean? We partake flesh and blood. We are also human beings, but we are not just human beings. We are children of God. We are God's special children. Not all human beings are children of God. We are all, we are God's special children. He chose us before the foundation of the world. According to Ephesians chapter 1 verse 5. He chose us before having predestinence unto adoption as children. So we are not born.
[1:57] We are adopted by God as children. Unto adoption as children before the world was founded. So it's not before you were born. Way before the world was founded. You were on God's mind. And it says that because those of us who have been appointed to be children of God, because we are flesh and blood, in other words, we are humans, physical. Human beings die. Spirits don't die. Once I want to say, I kill all the spirits.
[2:26] You can't kill all the spirits. You can't kill all the spirits. You can't kill spirits. Spirits don't die. Human beings die. So he said because we are partakers of flesh and blood, he himself, talking about Jesus, that's why it's capitalized.
[2:39] He himself, likewise shared in the same. Say the same. So when we talk about the same, the subject here is the children are flesh and blood.
[2:52] He also shared in the same flesh and blood. That's why Jesus had to be a human being. He had to share in what we are. He has to become like us. He has to share in our humanity.
[3:07] Even though originally he wasn't human, he had to put on humanity. He put on humanity and came amongst men. He came amongst men. So he says that for as much as, as much as then the children were, have partaken of flesh and blood, he himself, likewise, just like us, shared in the same flesh and blood.
[3:30] Why? That's through death because if he says spirit, he can't die. It's only flesh and blood that dies. Human beings that die. Human beings don't have immortality. We have mortality.
[3:45] So Bible says that Jesus Christ, he did something when he came to the cross. The reason why Jesus had to die on the cross because he came to die on the cross just to die because everybody dies.
[3:58] Yesterday I heard something I said, which I've never heard before. I heard something I said and I started laughing. It was so nice.
[4:09] You want me to tell you? Do you want me to tell you what I said? What? Are you sure you want to know? What? It was an Easter message and I was preaching about the fact that Jesus Christ was not the only one who died on the cross.
[4:24] Some of you didn't know. You didn't know that Jesus was not the only one who died on the cross. The cross was the Roman style of execution, executing convicted or condemned criminals.
[4:40] If you are condemned in the past in the UK, they would chop your head. They would put your head on a guillotine and then this guy would chop your head and cloo, cloo, cloo, cloo, cloo.
[4:52] He would run. Yes. Yes. And then in, in fact, up to now, in some of the Arab countries, they kill you as a kid by hanging. They will hang you to die.
[5:03] In America, in some states, they still practice capital punishment. And how do you? The electric chair. You sit in a chair and the electric, you just, and some also by lethal injection.
[5:15] They inject something that will kill you. It poised, it goes in your chair. Jesus, in their days, it wasn't lethal injection.
[5:27] In the days of Jesus, it wasn't hanging. In the days of the Jews, their style was to stone you. So that's how they killed Stephen. They stoned him to death. That's the way Jews execute people.
[5:38] When the woman was caught in adultery in John chapter five, sorry, John chapter eight, they brought him from verse five. They brought him to Jesus. And he said, Moses in the law says that such as says that.
[5:50] Moses in the law commands that he should be stoned. Such a person. That was the law. It's Jews died by stoning. But if you are stoned to death, it's not a sign of a curse.
[6:03] But if you hang on a tree, it's a sign of a curse. So Jesus could not be stoned to death because he's coming to take our curse. So he has to hang on a tree. My goodness.
[6:14] The Bible says that Christ has redeemed us. Galatians chapter three, verse 14, verse 13 and 14. Christ has redeemed us. He younged us from the curse of breaking God's law.
[6:26] If you break the law, a curse is on you. How many of you have broken God's law before? So you should tell there's a curse. So I don't even know why you will not exchange the curse.
[6:37] Swap it. Swap the curse for peace. You see, curse, you can't do anything about it. It's waiting for a time to execute.
[6:49] Some people die because they are cursed. Some people just die. Somebody, some time ago, he died. If his helicopter fell. If you own a helicopter, you die.
[7:00] What? People, somebody can be walking somewhere and someone who goes mad, wants to kill somebody and lift everybody that comes for you.
[7:13] Those things are very interesting. Yes. So Christ had to come and carry our curse. So Galatians chapter 3 verse 13, he says that for Christ, he says that he has redeemed us from the curse of the law.
[7:30] He didn't only redeem us from our sins and the punishment of our sins. He redeemed us also from the curse. It's in your Bible. He has redeemed us from what? What kind of curse?
[7:41] The curse of the law, which means if you break the law, the curse that God has pronounced on people who break the law. It's not only rapists. Liars.
[7:52] How many of you have lied before? Uh oh, that's bad news then. The curse of the law. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.
[8:03] How did he do it? How did he do it? Having been made because, having become a curse for us. He became a curse for us. How? So when you look at, if you are in Christ, any curse that is supposed to come to you, you say, oh sorry, it's no more mine, it's his.
[8:20] He became the curse for us. Any curse that is supposed to come to you, it comes on Christ. He took the curse in advance before you were even born.
[8:31] But if you are not in Christ, you carry your own curse. Having become a curse for us. How? Because it is written, everyone who hangs on a tree is cursed.
[8:43] That's why he couldn't have died through stoning. He had to die to carry curse. That's why he died on the cross. Now, what was I preaching and I said, and I like it myself.
[8:57] I've never had it before. One, Jesus was not the only one who was convicted by the Roman authorities to be executed.
[9:09] In the days of Jesus, when the Romans were in authority, the 80's historians, by history, they found out over 30,000 people.
[9:24] How many? 30,000. 30. 30,000. 30,000. 30,000. 30,000. 30,000. 30,000. 30,000. 30,000.
[9:35] 30,000 people were executed on the cross. And Jesus was one of them. In fact, when he was dying, he wasn't the only one who even died. There were two others.
[9:46] In fact, out of the three, there were three who died on the cross. And so in those days, when you are walking, traveling by the countryside or the main roadside, on the hills, you see many crosses.
[9:59] Many. And the Romans, they executed you in public places where everybody will see you. So it serves notice, serves as a warning or deterrence for others who will do what you did.
[10:10] The Romans were very cruel. Science has proved that dying on the cross is the most painful and most wicked way you can kill a person.
[10:22] Because the cross itself does not kill. When they nail, you can imagine, they put nails here. Big one. To the cross. They...
[10:33] Even before you die. Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! And when they nail, you will be lying on the floor.
[10:45] They put the cross on the floor. They nail one, two, and then they put your legs together. And then they nail with a bigger, a bigger nail.
[10:57] With a big hammer. Boom! Ow! Boom! Ow! Ow! And if some of you have been sad already. They nail him. So why are you continuing your sin?
[11:08] No! They nail him. And when they finish, they flip the cross over. So the cross will fall on you. And you fall on the ground. And death. Everything. So that, then the other part of the nail, because it can come out. So it's not like, you know, buying something from B&Q and screw it.
[11:20] No. This thing. They don't screw it. They nail it. So the nail can come out. And they nail it. They nail it. So the nail can come out. So it's not like, you know, buying something from B&Q and screw it.
[11:33] No. They don't screw it. So the nail can come out. So they have to then go to their back and then bend it with the nail. Whilst you are lying on the floor. Sometimes you die even before they put you on the cross.
[11:47] And then when they finish their cross, they dig the floor, the ground. They dig it about one meter because their cross is high.
[11:58] So it can stay without falling. And when they finish, after they've dug the rope, they lift the cross. And then it slides into the hole. So it goes and then, and then the nails.
[12:14] That's what they did to Jesus. You see how serious a matter of sin is? And he was sinless. He hasn't done anything wrong.
[12:26] But because of you, you, you are still doing Igbo and Shio. Because of you.
[12:41] I don't believe. You wait. Don't believe and die. You will see where power lies. Listen, you don't want to die in your sins. If you die in your sins, it's a very stupid thing.
[12:53] Because after death, are you listening to me? Are you okay? Don't die in your sins. After death, it's judgment.
[13:07] Everything you have done, God, you give account. The police may not see it. Yes. Yes. But Hebrew chapter 4. It says, verse 13. It said, everything is made plain to God's eyes.
[13:20] Nothing is hidden. Yeah. CCTV may not catch you, but God. Yeah. There is no creature hidden from his sight. But all things are naked and open to the eyes of God.
[13:33] To whom we must give account. Can you imagine? So what are you going to hide? Everything is open. Nothing is hidden. And he said, we are going to give account to this person. Who nothing is hidden from. What are you going to hide?
[13:45] Look at somebody. Tell the person. It looks like they are talking to you. Kings have come.
[13:56] Kings have gone. Throne's the rule. Let's disappear. But your kingdom reigns forever. Oh, oh, oh, oh.
[14:07] I said, kings have come. And kings have gone. Throne's and rulers, they disappear. Carabas shatter higher. But your kingdom reigns forever.
[14:20] Oh, oh, oh. They nailed him to the cross. Drop him in the hole. And usually, you won't die.
[14:32] You are in pain. And guess what? As you hang there, those of you who are biology students, the little biology I did in secondary school, I know there's something in the body called diaphragm.
[14:44] It's right below the lungs. The lungs. So it's like, it's somewhere here. There. And how do you inhale?
[14:57] By expand or dropping the diaphragm. When the diaphragm goes down, it pulls air in. When the diaphragm comes out, it brings air.
[15:08] That's how we breathe. So you may think it's your nose that's doing the work. It's not your nose. If your diaphragm is punch. It's punch it. That's it. It doesn't pull in.
[15:20] It's like a plastic something. So when you pull it in, it sucks in air. Push it out. So since you are born, your diaphragm has been doing. And your diaphragm is under your ribs, inside.
[15:34] Okay. In the upper, between the upper torso and the lower torso. Right. Also below your diaphragm is your intestines. The large intestine, the small intestine, and the stomach, and the pancreas, and the kidneys.
[15:50] See what I'm talking about? My medical students, am I right? Yes. So the diaphragm is responsible for inhaling and exhaling.
[16:03] So when they say inhale, taking a breath, your diaphragm, you control. The muscles around the diaphragm is what control your breathing. So the muscles go. But then when you are stretched, you are hanging by your arms, it stretches the muscles here so your diaphragm can work well.
[16:21] So you struggle. So practically it's like you suffocate. So what they do is, once they are on the cross and their leg, you're hanging by your arms.
[16:34] And it's stretching your diaphragm. And there's no support. So this, your arms here are stretching their muscles around your diaphragm. You can't inhale properly or exhale.
[16:44] So what you have to do is, they use their legs to support themselves, to push, so their weight can be down and not here. So the load of your body is either born by your arms or born by your leg.
[16:58] So when you sit down, your weight is born by your legs. When you stand, as I stand, like yesterday, I was standing from 2.30 to 11 p.m.
[17:12] How many hours is that? Yeah, mathematics. 15 to 23. Make how many easier, isn't it? Yeah.
[17:22] Or 14.30 to 23. So 15, 15. 23 minus 15. You don't know that one. You see, when they told you to study for GCS, you see, you didn't take it seriously.

[18:16] Yes. self so they can breathe and release a bit. They can breathe and release a bit. So if you want someone to die very quickly on the cross, break their legs. So in Matthew, in John chapter 19 from verse 32, from verse 31 or 32, Bible says that the Pharisees came to, and then, no, no, no, let's go 31, 31, you understand 32 from 31.
[18:43] Therefore, because it was preparation day, because it was the preparation day, the bodies should not remain on the cross. Jews, when it's Sabbath, you shouldn't have bodies on the cross because it's like sacrilege or pollution.
[18:59] So get rid of the bodies because the next day is Sabbath. We don't want to keep bodies on the cross. So because of preparation, the bodies, that's the bodies of Jesus and the two thieves were not supposed to be remained on the cross on a Sabbath day.
[19:10] For that Sabbath was a high day. The Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken. God break their leg. That their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.
[19:25] When you break their legs, they can't support themselves. So what did the soldiers do? The next verse 32, then the soldiers came and broke their legs of the first. They have this big hammer.
[19:36] So as you are, it's very cruel, you know. As you hang on the cross, you are suffering already. They just want you to die. So they come and, they break. You can't breathe.
[19:50] They break your legs. So they broke the first one. And the other one who was crucified, those who were crucified with him. Now look at the next verse. That's interesting. But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already, he was already dead.
[20:05] Soldiers were trained. They were trained to check whether somebody is alive. They said he's dead. It's not the disciples who said, they're soldiers. They have not got anything to do with religion.
[20:17] They came, they were giving instructions, go and break their legs so they can die. But when they got to Jesus, he's dead already. That's it. He was already dead. They did not break his legs.
[20:28] But already it has been prophesied that none of his bones will be broken. Wow. Yes, he's dead. He said, it has already been prophesied that none of his bones. So instead of breaking their legs, one of the soldiers took a sword and then put it on the side.
[20:44] Because he's dead already. But let's just confess. So put it on the side. And water came out. Sorry. Blood came out and water. Normally it should be, you can't separate the two.
[20:55] But when it's dead, sometimes the blood begins to separate itself from the other fluids in the body. Can you imagine if you were that soldier? Some of the blood was spilled on that soldier.
[21:07] But I don't think he will remain a sinner. He will confess his sins. He went to, he said, I feel I'm lost.
[21:21] I feel like some of you sitting here. You know you are lost. I feel I'm lost. I need God. I need God. It's not an intellectual argument. It's a spiritual experience.
[21:33] He was dead. Look at it. It's 35. That it might be fulfilled. Wow. So who testified?
[21:43] The one who saw it testify knows that he's telling the truth. Look at it in the next verse rather. For these things were done that the scripture should be fulfilled. None of his bones were broken. So they were going to break his bones.
[21:56] But the scripture said none of his bones were broken. So the soldiers who don't know about the scriptures attempted, they were coming to break bones. And they realized this guy is not worth breaking his bones. Why didn't they break his bones?
[22:06] His legs. Why didn't they break his legs? I can't hear you. Come on. It's not a trick question. It's just black and white on it. Why didn't they break his leg? He was already dead.
[22:20] Tell somebody, Jesus actually died. Jesus actually died. He was already dead. They didn't break his legs. Why would they break their leg?
[22:31] Why would they break their leg? So it stops you from supporting, putting your weight on your body. When you put the load of your body on your legs, your diaphragm is a bit free to breathe.
[22:43] But if the weight of your body is not on your leg and your arm is stretched like diaphragm, you suffocate and you die very quickly. That's how they killed them on the cross.
[22:54] Jesus died on the cross. Why? He says because the children were flesh and blood. I like that one. Because of us. Why would God become a human being?
[23:06] What is he going to benefit? He wants to show you love. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. That's how God loved. God said, you want me to show you how I loved you? Look at what I will do for you.
[23:16] I will die for you so that you can live. And then if you are not smart, you might have a smartphone. It doesn't mean you are smart. You can have a smart TV.
[23:28] Some of you have smart TVs. You can have a smart tablet. Nowadays, they are even smart spectacles. And they are smart pens. Smart watches.
[23:39] A lot of people are wearing smart watches. So they break his legs. They break their legs so that they can breathe. Jesus suffered all this on the cross. Hebrews chapter 11 verse, George chapter 2 verse 14 again.
[23:52] Sorry, yeah, verse 14. Because the children have partaken of flesh and blood, he himself likewise shed in the same. That through death, he might, why did he die?
[24:06] He died so that he is going into death to destroy something. That through death. So the means to conquer death is by dying.
[24:18] Human beings die. Spirits don't die. So for him to die and conquer death, he has to share in flesh and blood. So through death, he, Jesus, might destroy.
[24:32] Not remove, destroy. To destroy him. Who has the power of death? Who is that? The devil. It's there. It's there in your Bible. He died on the cross.
[24:44] So when they were kneeling to the cross, the devil was laughing. You know how Satan laughs? He laughs like this. So he was standing there.
[24:59] Ha, ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. So he will allow you and instigate you and influence you to do drugs. And then when you are busted, he will be laughing.
[25:11] Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. So Satan was laughing.
[25:22] He didn't know that his head was about to be crushed. Because the reason why Jesus died on the cross, now it doesn't make sense why Jesus told Peter, when Peter said, you cannot die, he said, Satan, get behind me.
[25:36] Because the solution was through death. Through death. and Bible said he swallowed up death in victory. 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 54.
[25:51] Death has been swallowed up. 2 Timothy chapter 1 verse 9 and 10. It talks about, look at 2 Timothy, I like that one.
[26:03] Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his purpose and his grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus, when? Before time began.
[26:15] Some things have been given to you already. So the things you enjoy from God in Christ are already given to you before time, not before you were born, no.
[26:26] Before actually time began. Before time began. It's only God who can give things to people before time began. Before time began.
[26:39] Look at the next verse. But has now been manifested. But has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ.
[26:50] Who is Jesus? Who is Jesus? Who is Jesus? He's the only one who can save you from that situation. He's the only one who can save you from that addiction.
[27:03] Yes. You know addiction can ruin your life. Yes. Yeah. There are people here, last night you didn't sleep. You are watching pornography throughout. Sorry.

[27:40] Wow. One of the things that really breaks my heart is when a girl is so attached to a boy who is abusive. And the boy is abusing you.
[27:50] Come on. But I believe somebody will be free from today. Amen. All right. Let me just, so Jesus Christ, Bible says that, Jesus is our savior.
[28:00] Say Jesus is our savior. Jesus is our savior. Say it again. Jesus is our savior. So if, if the devil wants to destroy your life and he doesn't want you to be saved, he has to try and convince you that Jesus can't save you.
[28:12] Or convince you that Jesus is not God. Or convince you that Jesus didn't die. That's the work of the devil. People who talk like that, it's the time we're talking to them. They can be priests.
[28:25] They can be bishop. They can be religious people. They can pose like professors. They are all agents of the devil. Knowingly or unknowingly. So, but Jesus Christ our savior, Bible says that, it has, but it has been now revealed.
[28:45] What has been revealed? The salvation, also the grace and the purpose of God by which he saved us, which he has set for us before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our savior, Jesus Christ, who has done what?
[28:59] What did Jesus do? Abolish death. Now that's a serious statement. That's a serious statement. What did Jesus do? He abolished death. Yes, he did. How did he do it?
[29:10] By going into the grave. By dying. So, when Jesus was dying, he killed death. So, he has abolished death and brought life and immortality.
[29:23] Wow. Immortality is now possible. Somebody can live and not die. Immort, he has brought life and immortality to light by abolishing.
[29:37] That's why when Satan says you can't die on the cross, you can't die. When Peter said you can't die, he said, Satan, get behind me because you are blocking the purpose of God. Even though it looks not popular, that's the means through which God is going to save people.
[29:51] So, he says that Jesus died on the cross. Now, do you realize I've not told you the thing I said about, I heard the first time I heard it was when I said it. I was listening to, I've not told you.
[30:04] What did you? I've not told you. Now, the point is that many, there are over 30,000 people who died on the cross. 30,000 people in the days of Jesus Christ. So, as it were, Jesus' cross was not, now when you mention cross, it's only Jesus you remember.
[30:19] It's only Jesus. Now, what did I say that was funny? I find interesting. I said a lot of people are wearing cross. If you are not in Christ and you are wearing cross, it is not the cross of Jesus. It's one of the criminals.
[30:36] Not every cross represents Christ because he wasn't the only one who died on the cross. So, you can be wearing cross, pendant, or your neck, or your wrist, or your ears, or your nose, wearing cross, and if you are not in Christ, it is one of the thieves on the cross.
[30:56] It is one of them. The cross is what you are wearing. It's not the cross of Christ. Don't let anybody deceive you that Satan appears or a demon appears that you bring a cross, a cross, and then you run away.
[31:07] He will slap you. Demons don't fear cross and demons don't fear Bible. You are putting it under your pillow to sleep.
[31:20] It better remove it than putting it inside your head. The Bible is not for under the pillow. It's for inside your head and your heart. Then you watch Omen, Omen, or some horror movie and some ghost was coming and they went to take Bible to Bible and the ghost is afraid of the Bible.
[31:41] Satan's way to deceive you, to make you think he fears Bible. You are carrying cross. You are putting cross in your room so you can ward off devils. If you are not born again, you have cross in your room.
[31:54] It's a criminal, the cross of one of the criminals. So don't worry that I've tracked the dead. Kings have come and kings have gone.
