[0:00] Hallelujah! Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Caris Phase 2, our Christ-centered youth services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.
[0:14] May Jesus Christ reveal Himself to you as you listen. Let's get into God's Word. Are we all ready? Are we all ready? I like the Word of God.
[0:24] This is what makes us who we are. Ephesians chapter 2, verse 18, 19, 20, 21, 22.
[0:41] Ephesians chapter 2, verse 18 says that, For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God, and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom all the buildings fitly framed together grows into an holy temple in the Lord.
[1:21] in whom ye also are built together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Here ends the reading in Jesus' name.
[1:32] Amen. Ephesians chapter 1, verse 3. Ephesians chapter 1, verse 3.
[1:46] Blessed be God. Let's all say, blessed be God. Blessed be God. So as I taught you earlier on, Ephesians opens up by Paul introducing himself as the apostle of Christ Jesus, and to the saints that are at Ephesians, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.
[2:08] And he brings greetings, grace. Grace be to you, and peace from God, our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
[2:18] And then, he goes on to talk about, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[2:34] Who is the subject here? Who is the subject, Matai? Huh? God, our Father. God, our Father. No, Jesus, please. God.
[2:46] God and the Father. It's the same person. Blessed be God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who? Talking about God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings.
[2:58] So, he's talking about God. That's what we must say. Subject. Okay? He's talking about God. So, he takes his time to talk about God. Then, look at the next verse.
[3:11] According, that's, according as he has chosen us, God chose us in him before the foundation. I'll explain all this. Verse 5. To be adopted as children. Having predestinated us unto adoption as children by Christ Jesus Christ to himself.
[3:26] So, this is all talking about God. What he has done. What he has done. Right? Right? Verse 6. To the praise.
[3:36] He's done all this thing. Not so you can look good. Not so you can be happy. You are not a Christian to be happy. You are a Christian to the praise of his glory.
[3:48] Right? He's done this. To the praise of his glory. Wherein he has made us acceptable in the beloved. Look at the verse 7. Now, it's changing.
[4:00] In whom we have redemption. Now, that's not talking about God. Go back to the verse 6. The last word there. Give us new King James.
[4:14] Do you see any difference between... Did you notice this? This is not talking about... This is not talking about... Many years ago, I thought you were talking about the people who are loved.
[4:27] The beloved. No. This is talking about one particular person. We have been made... God has made... Which God has made us accepted in the beloved.
[4:38] With the beloved. You remember Matthew chapter... Chapter 3 verse 17. This is my beloved son. This is my beloved son.
[4:49] John 3 verse 16. For God so loved the world. That what did you do? He gave his only begotten son. So that's the only begotten son. The only begotten son is the beloved.
[5:01] In the one. So the Bible says that... He gave... Verse 7 again. He made us accepted... Verse 6. Sorry.
[5:12] Made us accepted in the beloved. Talking about Jesus. Now look at the next verse. In the beloved. In him. Talking about the beloved. In that beloved, we have redemption.
[5:25] We don't have... Our redemption is not like God... When you talk about the Trinity. The one responsible for our redemption. The one who paid the price for our redemption.
[5:37] So long as the Trinity is concerned. It's not God the Father. Right? Who paid for God the Son? He paid. So when you talk about...
[5:47] We have redemption in God the Son. So in God the Son, we have redemption. Through... Obviously, this cannot be God the Father. Because God the Father has not got blood.
[5:58] Through... Through... His blood. Through the blood of God the Son. So... Who is the subject... Martinus?
[6:10] Huh? Huh? Jesus. God the Son. You guys are amazing. Oh... I'll clap for you myself. So...
[6:21] The sub... Did you know... The subject matter has changed? Previously, it was God the Father. But when he was finishing... He finished God the Father's own verse 6.
[6:32] To the... He has done all this. To the praise of his glory. In... And then having made us accepted in the beloved. In whom... Now he's changed from God the Father.
[6:43] He introduced the beloved. And he started talking about... In the beloved, we have redemption. Through his blood. The forgiveness of sins. So... We have forgiveness of sins...
[6:55] According to the riches... Of his grace. The subject... Who is the subject matter here? God the Son. Then he goes on... The next verse...
[7:07] Which he made... To abound... The grace... He made the grace to abound... Towards us... In wisdom and prudence. Verse 9... 10... 11... That's quite a long one. But...
[7:18] That in the dispensation... Of the fullness of... Nine... Having made us... Having made known to us... The mystery of his will...
[7:29] According to... His good pleasure... Which he purposed... In himself... The next verse... That in the dispensation... Of the fullness of time... He might gather together in one...
[7:41] All things in Christ... Both... Which are in heaven... And which are... On earth... In him... Is... This is talking about... What God is doing... But he's doing it in Christ...
[7:53] So the focus... From verse... 7... Is on Christ... The focus... From verse 3... Is on God the Father... From verse...
[8:04] End of 6... And mainly... Verse 7... God the Son... Then he goes to the... Verse 13... Because of my time... In verse 13... In him... Anytime you see... In him... He's talking about Jesus...
[8:14] It's not the Spirit... I'm sure King James... Will use... In whom... What has... How does the King James... In whom... In Christ... We are in Christ...
[8:25] We are in him... There are so many... In him... In him... In him... In him... In him... That is what makes you... A Christian... You are in Christ... And the beauty...
[8:36] Of being a Christian... Is... You are not just in Christ... Christ is in you... Colossians 1... In Christ... In you... The hope of glory... So...
[8:46] Say... I'm... I'm in Christ... I'm in Christ... And Christ is in me... And Christ is in me... Wow... That's amazing... So... In Ephesians... You keep coming across... In him...
[8:57] In him... In him... Here... He says that... In him... Also... In him... You also trusted... After you heard... The word of truth...
[9:07] The gospel... You see... When... You're trusting in Christ... Begins... After you hear the preaching... You can't be saved... Without hearing... Really...
[9:18] Knowing that... Um... Salvation is based... On believing in Jesus... But... Which Jesus are you talking about? You...
[9:28] You don't know him... He's not your uncle... In him... In him... He's talking about Jesus Christ...
[9:40] Now watch this... You can only be saved... When you know Jesus... Sal... Salvation comes... Through... The preaching of Christ...
[9:51] Okay... Can I say that again? Salvation... Comes through the preaching of Christ... It's not through... Stopping bad behavior... You don't get saved... Because you stop stealing...
[10:02] You don't get saved... Because you stop fornicating... There are people who also stop... In fact... People were not fornicating at all... Are they saved? People are not stealing...
[10:14] A lot of you have never... Stole it... Apart from maybe... Bass fare... Or something like that... The trainer... The trainer...
[10:27] Yeah... So... Salvation comes through... Hearing the word of truth... It's very important... And it's interesting...
[10:38] My book calls it... The word of truth... In whom you trusted... After... Not before... After you heard the word of truth...
[10:48] The gospel of your... Is the gospel... That brings the salvation... Is called the word of truth... What's the word of truth? The gospel of my salvation... Is the word...
[11:01] That brings the truth... The... Gospel... Of my salvation... The word of truth... After you heard... The word of truth...
[11:11] The gospel of salvation... In whom also... This is... Who is there...ımı talking about... in Jesus. In whom also having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
[11:25] First time the Holy Spirit has been introduced into the conversation. Sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. So that's Ephesians 1. Then look at it.
[11:40] Therefore when I heard of it, the subject is changed now to the Holy Spirit. Who is the guarantee of inheritance unto the redemption of the precious possession? To the praise of his glory. You remember that phrase?
[11:55] He should have after God the Father. He should have after God the Son. What I'm trying to draw your attention to is the Trinitarian formula. It's right there from the beginning.
[12:07] Spoke about God the Father. Spoke about God the Son. Spoke about God the Holy Spirit. God the Father planned our salvation. God the Father God the Son God the Father planned our salvation. God the Son procured our salvation.
[12:21] God the Spirit applies our salvation. Now the main text we read verse 18 chapter 2. You see the Trinity again there. Look at verse 18. Can you see there?
[12:35] Can you see the Trinity there? Yes. So when somebody tells you that, in fact, years ago somebody said, you know, water has three stages, states, states. The gaseous stage, the solid state, and the liquid state.
[12:56] So somebody said, the Trinity is like, you know, the way water is three stages. So at some point, he manifests himself as Spirit.
[13:07] And at that point, hey! He has no soul. He's not manifesting. It's three different persons by one God. Matthew chapter 3.
[13:21] It says that verse 17 or verse 16. As Jesus was being baptized, look at that. Verse 16. And he came and was baptized. And then he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove.
[13:37] Look at verse 17. Wait, sorry, sorry. Go back to verse 16. Descending like a dove upon me. Upon who? Who is the him?
[13:49] Oh. So it's not change of state. There was Jesus. The dove also descended. And then what happened? Verse 17. Oh. And the voice came from heaven.
[14:01] So that voice didn't come from the Spirit. Neither did it come from the Son. So whoever was in heaven still is there. Whatever the Spirit is, was still the Spirit.
[14:14] And the Son was still there. And all the three are distinct. Did you understand that? All the three. So in people's attempt to explain the Trinity, which Islam struggles with, people try to explain the Trinity to fit into human comprehension.
[14:36] The whole thing is a mystery. How can you explain mystery? It's a mystery. Great is the mystery of godliness. Maybe one of these is, have I taught on the Trinity?
[14:51] I taught about this after the Lord. Maybe one of these are teaching in KP2. I'll break efficiency and then teach Trinity and go back to efficiency. Trinity. I don't want you to be ignorant.
[15:06] Paul said it a few times. He said, I don't want you to be ignorant. I don't want you to be ignorant. Because it's going to have an impact on your spiritual, the quality of your spiritual life.
[15:19] So Ephesians chapter 2 verse 18, he says that, for through him, through, through, through, through, through Jesus, him, we both, you remember, what are they both talking about?
[15:36] Jews and Gentiles have access by all.
[15:49] By one, who is it? Who is it? Who is it? The Holy Spirit. To the Father. See the Trinitarian formula there? Right there. We have Christ, we have the Spirit, and the Father.
[16:03] It's very much embedded in Scripture. Scripture. The Scripture is Trinitarian. We both, all right, so let's break that text down.
[16:16] I want to talk about access. I've got access. Yeah. We both have access by one Spirit.
[16:27] We both, Jews and Gentiles, we have access. we have access. Through him, he gives us access to God the Father.
[16:40] Through him, let's look at it. He is the instrumental cause for our access. However, the means is the Spirit. So, we have the access through him by the Spirit.
[16:56] did you get it? He didn't get it. He are getting it. Through him, we will have access.
[17:08] When you look at the verse 14, we see what Christ has done in the verse 14. He is at peace. What did he do? He broke down the middle wall of separation.
[17:19] Number one, verse 15. He abolished the enmity in his flesh. That is the law of commandments.
[17:30] So, he abolished the law of commandments that were contained in the ordinances. When he was dying, he was putting an end to slave trade. Abolish. He was putting an end to law of commandments that divide us.
[17:45] He put an end to it. Don't, don't, don't, don't miss what Christ did. So, number one, he, 14 again, I need you to note that down.
[17:56] Number one, he broke down the middle wall of partition. Number two, he abolished the law of commandments that was causing enmity.
[18:08] Number three, ah, I like that one. He, he reconciled us to God. He reconciled us to God.
[18:22] he reconciled us to God. By one body through the cross. So, we have been reconciled to God, but we see in the verse 18 that we gain access.
[18:43] We have access. So, he also brought, now, if we are reconciled to God, when do you get reconciled to God? When you are born again, we are, watch this, this is very, I'm about to say something.
[19:00] The first point there is that, the first one I'm trying to make is when you are born again, when you are born again, you have gained a position.
[19:10] is positional. It's, it's, it's, now, when you are born again, you are a child of God, that's your status. But here, he said, he grant us access.
[19:25] After reconciling us to God, which is our position, he grant us access, which could not our experience. Access is to, to, to experience and enjoy God.
[19:40] Not only access to God, oh, I like that. We don't only have access to God, we have access, we have access to what redemption has procured for us.
[19:56] Access into eternal life. Access into the things, to enjoy God. I have access to enjoy God. I'm not just born again, I'm there positionally, but I actually have got access.
[20:10] Access to enjoy God. Access to God and to whatever heavenly, the heavenly nature brings to enjoy it. Being a Christian is not something small.
[20:25] Through him, all this happens through him. That's why Christianity without Christ is nothing. Somebody say, I've got access.
[20:36] I've got access. Say it again. I've got access. What does Ephesians 3.12 say? Ephesians 3.12. Ah!
[20:49] Let's not read the other. Let's go. In you, we have boldness and access with confidence. Wow! We've got access! Thank you, God. Thank you, Jesus.
[21:02] Thank you, Jesus. We've got, we've got, we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in him.
[21:12] What? In whom? In him, in Christ, we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in him.
[21:25] Wow! Wow! Say, I've got access. I've got access. Access means permission to come in. You have the authorization to walk in.
[21:39] How many of you have been to my bedroom before? You can't. Access denied.
[21:55] Access denied. Access denied. Access. It's the first thing. Some of you have got access into places in your father's house or your mother's house.
[22:11] No one can come there. Some of you have access into your grandma's bank account. Yeah.
[22:22] Access. Access is a powerful thing, you know. Yeah. Yeah. access is a powerful thing. Sometimes people at Marley they don't even have access.
[22:35] when you are granted access it connotes going to enjoy something having privilege a certain experience that others cannot be permitted to have access or if I shout I've got access I've got access no access to Hakkasan no access to Bakkenan Palace all those accesses might be very precious to some people no access to some privileged information people have different levels types of access but when we talk about the access we have look at verse 18 chapter 2 we have access to the Father wow that's a big thing that's a big thing so he said when you pray say
[23:49] Father why? use your access stop waiting for people to pray for you running around for prayers a lot of what people are doing is it falls short of biblical Christianity a lot of what people are doing in some churches it falls short of biblical pure biblical Christianity you can't trace it to biblical Christianity maybe aspects of Judaism yes yeah it's possible but biblical authentic pure biblical Christianity a lot of people are in a lot of places around the world that one it doesn't matter where you are there are people in England whose Christianity is different from what is in the Bible so when someone said I used to be in the church I grew up in the church
[24:50] I'm now Kalabash what's it? Kabbalah I'm now I'm now a Hindu I'm now a you were never in the church but unfortunately they don't know it's because of the bogus fake Christian leaders they were following most of those Christian leaders are not Christians they are not Christians what makes a person a Christian?
[25:14] not behavior but Christ you know most of them don't know Christ most of the people who think that they've been to Christian school and much of it is not really fundamentally Christian maybe the ethos might be Christian Christian philosophy but not Christ centered being in a Christian school doesn't mean you know Christ so maybe many people have been to mission schools Christian Christian institutions and then later on they are practicing some things they say I'm now in the 80s I've tried this I've tried you never tried Christianity you you thought you tried Christianity you thought you thought you tried Christianity but the Christianity you have tried is not Christianity you were very far from Christianity but unfortunately you thought you knew Christianity no wonder you couldn't settle no wonder you couldn't settle but if you test real Christianity you can't move away from it you test Christianity when you meet light true light then you realize that candle is not even proper light
[26:29] I dare challenge anybody who said I used to be a Christian I dare challenge them to show us the Christianity they so called claim to be practicing they should show us and when they show you realize that's not the Christianity when somebody tells you I'm an atheist I don't believe in all this Christian God and Christian you say I used to be a Christian but now I don't believe in it can you tell us the God you're talking about can you just tell me oh a God who he said ah me too if I were you I would not believe in that God I also never believe in that kind of God so you are right you are right for not believing in the God then they get confused what do you mean yeah I agree with you because that that kind of God should not be followed and worshipped can I tell you can I tell you the God I'm talking about can I now introduce you to the Christ you thought you knew you never knew him that's why you thought
[27:40] Christianity and Islam are not different anybody who says that doesn't obviously does not know Christ if you know Christ you realize that it's so different when we gather like this they say what are they doing they are doing church they think we just oh let us pray and sing some songs and go they don't realize that these are people who have access I've got access I've got access we are not just here and trying to practice some religious rituals no no no no please that's why that's why we can have meetings anyway we don't need a cathedral or a basilica because the access is in the oh shut up in the spirit we've got access don't joke with me don't joke with me
[28:47] I've got access yes joke with me why is it that you have access and you are not using your access you are not using your access talk to the father Hebrews chapter 10 verse 19 he said we have boldness then he said having boldness let us come let us come let us come he said therefore brethren having boldness to enter we have boldness to enter boldness to enter boldness to enter how can you come and enter like that if you don't have access praise the Lord praise the Lord let us come boldly therefore before the throne of grace why have you got access let us come boldly Hebrews chapter 4 verse 16 let us come boldly before the throne of grace say I've got access
[29:50] I've got access please sit down I've got access I've got access I've got access I've got access that's what makes me a Christian positionally I'm reconciled to God experientially I've got access positionally where I stand is a very unique position I mean I have it I have closeness to God because I have been reconciled positionally I'm reconciled and experientially I have access the secret of answers to prayer is at the mercy of our access the reason why prayers get answers answered is because we have access it's the access we have that determines the answers to our prayers access no pastor has more access to
[31:06] God than you if you are in Christ he said Ephesians chapter 2 verse 18 he said for through him we both not some people we we we we we we we have it we both Jews and Gentiles we both in Christianity is the priesthood of all believers priesthood of all believers all believers are priests he made us kings and priests in the old testament the three major offices covenant offices alright when I say covenant offices the offices are prophets priests king so to be a king you must be anointed that's why David was anointed king in Israel to be a prophet you must be called some are anointed some also receive mantles it says you can't get up and say you are a prophet it is an office anyway you can call yourself
[32:11] Jezebel call herself prophetess Revelation chapter 3 verse 21 the woman the woman who call herself prophetess hey nevertheless God said me I have a few Jesus said I have a few things against the church I didn't imagine Jesus said I have a few things against you talking to a church and what are the few things he said because you allow that woman Jezebel in the name of tolerance it's a very dangerous thing it's a very dangerous word when it comes to the things of God it's not everything that can be accommodated or tolerated because we don't define what is accepted he defines it you tolerated the woman he said you have allowed some translation use the word tolerated allow that woman
[33:15] Jezebel yes NIV I have a few things you tolerate that woman you see you must be sometimes when it comes to pure gospel you must be intolerant how can you say because the whole community when you hear the word intolerant it's like a swear wait it's not everything we should tolerate in UK we don't tolerate slavery do we no our police will lock you up is it wrong not to tolerate no it's not everything you should tolerate other than that you spoil your community on your side and the church is God's community it's not you your problem was you you tolerate a woman that means don't tolerate that woman doesn't mean a woman cannot preach but here he said that woman not a woman but how do you know the woman he said that she calls herself prophetess she calls herself self made prophetess so three offices in
[34:30] Israel prophet king and priest there are people like David who was a prophet and a king there are people like Samuel who was a priest and a prophet but nobody could be a king and a priest no you know why because their kingly office is by tribe so if you have to be a king you must be from the tribe of Judah that's what authorizes you to be a king in Israel to be a priest you must be a Levite from the tribe of Levi so you cannot be from those two tribes what if my mother no no it doesn't work like that can you have two surnames it's still two it's not two why she put the barrier it's one family name is always one family name is always one in the same way you cannot be from a tribe of Levi and tribe the is usually paternal so if your father is
[35:55] Levite when you are born even if your mother is from Judah once you are born you are in that life did you understand what am I trying to say you can never be a king and a priest under the old covenant revelation chapter 5 verse 9 and they sang in you sang you are worthy to take the scroll to open it for you were slain and have redeemed us unto God by your blood out of every tribe every tongue every people every nation let's go and nation and have made us what has made us what 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 8 9 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 8 and 9 okay so the pillar keeps getting in the way let's go to verse 9 sorry you are but you are a chosen generation and what what does that mean royal priesthood in the old testament there is nothing like a royal priesthood because you can't be a priest and still have royalty but in the new testament
[37:25] Jesus Christ has made us kings and priests kings to ring priest to reflect God reflection royal priesthood access access access is for enjoyment experience yes yeah how many of you have got access that's what should make you very confident in life very confident it doesn't matter whether you have money or not Peter told the guys look at us silver and gold have iron but such as I am keep by you I've got access I've got access that's what makes me an unusual extraordinary person my access to God imagine I have access to God
[38:40] America president no problem I have access to God yeah our kin I may not have access to our kin but I have access to the kin the kin of kings someone scream access access I've got access for through him Ephesians chapter to the estate for through him we both have access how by one spirit you are not going through one different spirit than someone is using different spirit it's one spirit Ephesians 4 4 one spirit Ephesians 4 4 there is one body and how many spirits one spirit 1 Corinthians 2 Corinthians chapter 1 Corinthians sorry chapter 12 verse 13 1 Corinthians 12 13 let's already let's go for by one spirit we were all baptized into one body whether
[39:54] Jews or free whether state or free and have all been made to drink into one spirit we've all been given a common experience we've all been that's our colonia we've all been made to drink into one spirit see it starts by one spirit we have been baptized into one body we have all been made to drink into one not drink from one spirit you are drinking into something this is a very interesting phraseology we drink into one spirit you are drinking and entering something you enter it by drinking wow drinking into the spirit one spirit we all have access by one spirit by one spirit to the father no human being has access to the father how do you know that why you say that
[41:01] I'm telling you no human being has access to the father Genesis chapter 3 Genesis chapter 3 verse 22 he said man they have become like us this is God talking of God God and his us wow man has become like one of you see the capital U there he's God God is a community he's a self contained community because if God is love how can love exist without community without more than one person love can only exist when there is more than one right so if God is love before he created us and whatever God is he has always been it's not creation that added to him whatever he is he's always been and so if
[42:04] God is love and he's always been love even before we are created before there is anything created to love if he has existed before creation and he was loved before creation then there must be something theologians call the intra trinitarian love so Jesus said the father loves the son and has given all things to the son the father loves the son you love me John chapter 5 for the father for the father I love it for the I can't wait recently I was studying I was supposed to be reading something yeah last Friday when I was going to preach I woke up got myself ready and I decided to go through the scripture because I was going to do my John chapter one thing yeah
[43:05] I love it I don't know whether you like it but I love it one of the things I realized is that sometimes when I studying the scripture arrangement that's a lot of work it's serious work so what verse one is saying what verse two is saying what verse three is saying what verse five is saying so sometimes like in Acts chapter 16 I can have a pictorial idea what the verses are saying but you can't do that for every chapter that's a lot too much your mind cannot contain it but at least some chapters I'm mentioning so as I went to John chapter one I just got a reference or so so I just checked John chapter 10 and I couldn't be reading John chapter one again I stayed in John chapter 10 I was going to verse 42 where they said about
[44:08] John the Baptist that the guy didn't John the Baptist he didn't do any miracle John didn't perform it but everything he said about Jesus is true it's bigger than miracles the people said John didn't do any miracle but everything he said about this guy is true how can you know Jesus if you don't listen to John because everything John said about Jesus was true that's why he's the greatest prophet from the Old Testament so is this then I started going back and back and I found myself in the verse 18 19 20 I like the verse 24 I didn't finish and I had to stop so I left it 24 look at verse 24 then the Jews surrounded him and said how long will you keep passing down if you are the Christ tell us plainly
[45:08] I read it I see it every time but this time I saw it differently they are asking if you are the Christ tell us plainly Jesus said I have told you but you didn't believe it I told you you did not you did not believe and yet you are standing before me tell us plainly what again should I tell you and then you don't believe what I said if you don't believe my words the works that I do in my father's name they bear witness of me oh wow they bear witness of me and I was reading they decided to go and stone it was so sweet I couldn't believe this is what access God has given me this access is amazing you look at the text and they are wondering how come I never saw this oh another level of layer of access has been granted me wow you get into
[46:21] God and access makes you enjoy God oh yes yes yes yes access moves you out of the realm of religion into the realm of enjoyment what is religion serving God without enjoying Christ anyway let's go back to Genesis so it says that man has become like one of us us the us the us I love the us he has become like one God said man has become like one of us if your mind works well and your comprehension comprehension is comprehensive if you have basic comprehension what don't you understand about this word what's your problem God said us I know what people are thinking they are talking about angels him and the angels man can never be like an angel
[47:25] I become like one of us so he says that knowing good and evil so let us let oh sorry let he put his hand to take of the fruit also of the tree of life and live forever in that state man should live forever in that state so what did God do verse 23 therefore the Lord sent him out kicked him out of the garden he was thrown out of the garden for non payment or rent so God kicked man out of the garden out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken look at the next verse and then God brought cherubs cherubim so that I prefer this one he drove so man was driven out it's there from the garden that
[48:34] God formed that God formed garden east of Eden formed a nice garden and put man there and he said don't eat some stuff from there and man went since that time some of you have been eating you can't stop it that's where the appetite problem came from man God drove man out and he put cherub at the east of the garden of Eden and a flaming sword which turns everywhere wow a sword that can cut anyway whatever wherever you take it it will cut which turns everywhere to guard the way to the tree of life man was kicked out and man could never come back in so how can you say I found God myself we were kicked out we were kicked man never went to
[49:41] God even before they were kicked out it was God who always comes to man in the cool of the day God came to man the devil came to man and then suddenly so when man was kicked out man was trying to find his way back to God so he invented music invented weapons to defend themselves invented music for amusements and then started wearing cattle for sustenance it's all in your Bible Genesis chapter 4 I think from verse 18 or something like that what no yes he was the father of all those who played the harp and the flute there are places that they made music they took cattle from S90 if you read down you'll find man had to find ways of survival but man cannot go back to
[50:42] God religion is man's way of getting to God christianity is God's way of getting to man God reached out for God so loved the world that he reached out hallelujah amen praise the lord hallelujah so man was kicked out of the garden then jesus comes on the scene and he said i am the way the truth john chapter 14 the 6th i am the way the truth no man comes to the father so how come you say you are going we don't have access to God religion is our way of trying to get to God but you can't go to God you can't you can't you can't it's like trying to catch the plane run after the plane that is flying running after the plane it's impossible even if you become a bird you can't fly and chase the plane so man never had was not given access to God because of what happened then jesus comes and he connects us back but you know because of our sins we don't have a relationship with God so the first thing he had to do was to take care of the sin problem
[52:16] I'm not talking on behavior the sin problem is not okay I didn't say the sin the problem of sins is the problem of sin sin as a as a personality personality that is like he has to take care of so watch this his blood washes our sins his cross crucifies the power of sin so when you read Romans chapter in the book of Romans from chapter one I think all the way to chapter five it focuses on sin where chapter eight after chapter eight it focuses on sins so from chapter one all the way chapter five or six it focuses on sin and the cross that deals with sin so on the cross Jesus crushed the power of sin on the cross his blood washes our sins so if if your sins are not even washed or if you are sorry if your sins are even washed the power of sin is the dominant factor in our life but that's why he went to the cross so sin is no more a problem because of the cross and Jesus said no one can come to the father except by me so when he came down he came to deal with the problem of sin that is by 2 Corinthians chapter five verse 18 and 19 if you like that text that text is so good it puts life that smile on my face now all things are gone who has reconciled us to himself through Christ so God himself he reconciled us to himself through Christ wow look at verse 19 in that that is
[54:19] God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself not imputing their trespasses against them and as committed to us the ministry of so God himself was the one doing the reconciliation so Bible says that he has reconciled both of us to God are you getting it we have been reconciled to God and so on the cross he reconciled the sin was the problem so when he paid for our sins the enmity was taken the enmity between God and man Romans chapter five verse one two three Romans chapter five verse one two three therefore having been justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom also we have uh oh what have you got access what have you got access no you have to tell me you've got what have you got
[55:24] I've got access what have you got I've got access what have you got have more access when I ask you what kind of access access to enjoy God what have you got have more access what kind of access what kind of access access what have you got access what have you got what kind of access access to enjoy God that's all we've got to enjoy God God is meant for us to enjoy him, not to worship him.
[56:03] God didn't create man to worship him. He didn't create us to come and worship him. Angels were worshipped. When I was teaching you the purpose of God's creation, worship was not part of it.
[56:19] He didn't create us to worship him. Okay. If he created us to worship him, in Genesis chapter 2, verse 5, verse 7, okay, let's start from verse 5.
[56:31] Verse 5 is that, alright, let's go to verse 7. Is that verse 7 I'm looking for? Verse 7, and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.
[56:45] And man became a living soul. And God said, okay, now worship me. Is that what he said? Let's look at the next verse. After man became a living soul, what did God do?
[56:57] He planted a garden eastward in Eden. And there he put... Eden means pleasure. That's why people like pleasure.
[57:11] Because we have been created to enjoy, but without Christ, you are in trouble. God created us to enjoy...
[57:21] No, enjoy... I know what you are hearing. I didn't say what you heard. He didn't create us to enjoy life. That's why he wants soft life.
[57:34] He wants soft life. He did not... Some people don't want to do church because it's too hard. I can't give up my pun.
[57:47] I gotta do my pun. I like my girlfriends. Some people like their girlfriends so much. They don't want to do church because they know if they do church, you gotta give away or give up that girlfriend.
[58:02] But that girlfriend has been so good to you. She gives you what your mama can't give you. She gives you what no one can give you.
[58:21] You've got full access. And then someone is telling you come to church, come to church. And I know I'm going to church.
[58:31] The pastor is going to tell me that's not for the kids. Ah! I've got all these actions and I'm shooting for the kids. No way! No way! If he's funny, I'm going to get XTD.
[58:42] The enjoyment is worth it. Pastor, I don't care. I don't care about XTD. I just enjoy this.
[58:53] Girl! God created us to enjoy not life, but enjoy him.
[59:03] Amen. So when our focus is shifted from him, that's where the problem starts from. When our focus is shifted, God created us.
[59:14] Then, Genesis chapter 2, he says that, and he planted a garden eastward in Eden. And he caused every tree. Look at the next verse 9. Look at something there.
[59:25] And out of the ground of the earth, the Lord God made every tree grow. That, you see that? That was what? Pleasant to the side and good for food. Mmm!
[59:36] Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy. Adam, God created and put Adam there. Yes. And he said, eat. Where is worship? No worship. Eat.
[59:49] Eat. Please, tell me if I'm wrong. Where is worship? He said, just eat. And as you are eating, you also end up eating.
[60:04] So God packaged himself as a tree of life. I've been teaching this always. So that, as they eat, in fact, that tree was in the middle of the garden. They would see and eat him. And so when they didn't eat and they went to eat the wrong tree, God then put cherubim to block their access to the, the God tree.
[60:24] Wow. Because they were meant, they were created to eat God and enjoy, enjoy God. Do you know why you are stressed?
[60:37] Because life is stressful and it's not going to get any better. Let me just tell you. You think money will make it better? A lot of people, money has made their life better.
[60:47] Oh yeah. Money is good. What do you mean? Are you trying to say money is no good? Oh yeah, money is good, man. Money is good. It's nice to have some bags.
[61:00] It's nice to have some bags. But when you have it, later you realize that you are still empty. Yes. Wow. How many of you have had some amazing weekend of fun, partying, dancing, drinking, potentially sex, and you know, yeah, normally goes together in a world.
[61:21] I don't trust this in your laughter. Yes. Have fun, and have fun, and afterwards you felt very empty.
[61:39] A day or two after. Some of you used to have boyfriends, and after you have great times, or girlfriend, great times, you still feel something is missing. I don't like my life.
[61:53] I don't, you feel that something is missing. There's a, there's a void in my life. And you know what? When you are becoming aware of yourself, of life, one of the questions you'll be asking, why am I even here?
[62:10] How many of you have asked that question before? As soon as you begin to ask that question, you begin to realize that there's a lot of void in your life. Yeah. What am I even here?
[62:20] What am I, what's the purpose of my life? What, what is my life? Yeah, I think James chapter five, verse 12, verse 13, something, one of the verses, he said, what is your life?
[62:32] It's like a baby. Yes. What is your life? What is your life? Yeah, it shows up today, tomorrow is gone. So, because when you wanted a phone so badly, you got a phone and you realize that after a few months your life was still very empty.
[62:55] You wanted, you wanted that dress so badly. You saved and saved and got the dress and you really realize that I actually don't want it. The woman at the well, she said, can you give me this water?
[63:11] So I won't test again. Jesus said, this water you are fetching, when you drink it, you'll be thirsty again, but the water I will give you, the water I will give you, I like the way Jesus put it, he said, if you knew the gift of God and who it is, who is asking you, give me to drink, you would have, if you knew the gift of God and who it is, who said to you, give me to drink, you would have asked him, you would have been asking me to give you rather.
[63:47] And the woman said, but the well is deep. The well is deep. And you don't have what it takes to fetch the well. You don't have it.
[64:01] And the well is deep. So when Jesus said, I'll give you water, she said, you don't have it. You can't, you can't draw this. And the well is deep. And, where are you going to get that living water?
[64:16] And then, is that you greater than our fathers who drank from this? And, give me, give me to his son, our father Jacob who also drank from it. Look at verse 14. Jesus answered this, verse 14.
[64:29] Okay, let's go to the, verse 13, sorry. Jesus answered, and said to her, whoever drinks of this water will test again. That's the water people have been drinking.
[64:43] Physical water, you will test again. Material, you will test again. You are trying to enjoy life, but what you are using to enjoy, you will test again. You will test again.
[64:56] If you are thirsty and you drink seawater, you make your matter waste because the salinity of the seawater will make you even more thirsty. Yeah.
[65:11] My sister, my brother, what I'm telling you is, you are drinking salt water. You are not created to drink salt water. Jesus said, I am the water of life.
[65:24] I only can give you living waters. I'm the only one. If she said, if you knew, you will ask me for the living waters. All the other ones are salt waters. They don't give life.
[65:37] They don't satisfy. God created us to enjoy him, but because of sin, there came a wedge between us.
[65:47] It says that, therefore, having freely been justified, the justification is free, Romans chapter 5, verse 1. having been justified freely through the redemption, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[66:03] Verse 2. Through whom we also have access by faith into the grace in which we are standing and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
[66:17] We have access by faith. After being justified, we don't have access into a certain grace you stand. I'm standing in grace. We have access to the Father and we have access into this grace.
[66:33] We have access into this grace. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. We have access into this grace. We have access into this grace.
[66:45] We have access not into this grace. Amen. Amen. Amen. We have access into a certain particular type of grace. The riches of His grace.
[66:59] We have access. It's serious to be a Christian. Everything is made available for you from God. So, when you begin to what makes us enjoy our Christian life is when you are enjoying Jesus.
[67:16] how many of you love Jesus? Yes. Pastor, you know sometimes some of you might not have experienced that before, but I guarantee you a greater percentage of people here must have experienced it.
[67:34] When you are genuinely loved with Jesus, sometimes it's very captivating. it's indescribable. It's unexplainable. When you are in love with Jesus, it's like nothing else matters in life.
[67:52] It's so fulfilling. It's so rewarding. It's so deep, deep, deep, deep-seated, the heart-seated, so deep that words will fail you to express it or explain it.
[68:04] If you haven't gotten there yet, you are missing out in life. Wow. The reason why I preach the way I preach is I mean, sometimes I feel like shaking this up.
[68:16] This is no fake. Something, something, something has captured my heart.
[68:29] This Jesus thing, I really love him, you know. I really love him. And it makes me so excited about the word of God. I get so excited. When I used to be on TV and used to record in my studio for TV production, there's only one cameraman and I'm sitting behind the camera.
[68:44] It's only two of us. One is recording and I'm doing the preaching. I get so excited like I'm standing before thousands of people. It's only Pastor David that is doing something. I want to go and see your studio.
[68:55] Who else is there with you? Because it's just you. But you see, that's what people don't know. When I come to church, I'm not waiting for praise and worship. No, no, no. My joy, my excitement in Christ does not come from praise and worship.
[69:12] It comes from the word of God. That's why every time I'm teaching the word of God, I struggle to wait. Because I can't have enough of it. I can't have.
[69:23] And I know I'm talking about somebody. I know I'm talking about somebody. I know I'm talking about somebody. We love it. Yes. The psalmist said, how, how love I die long.
[69:38] Ah! It is my meditation all day. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's the blessed is he who does not walk in the counsel of the own Godly, nor stand in the way of sin, nor sit in the seat of God.
[69:52] But he's the light, he's the light, he's the delight, he's the light. It's in the word of the Lord. The clearest sign that you are genuinely born again is when you develop a disaster and delight in God's weight.
[70:08] When you have, you have a taste for it. It's an acquired taste. I love it. I love it. I don't know why children, babies like milk, but they were born with it.
[70:23] 1 Peter chapter, chapter 2, verse 2, as newborn babies. He didn't say you are a baby, he said the way babies don't want anything but milk.
[70:37] That's their job. Have milk and sleep. Have milk and sleep. When a baby is crying, mainly it's either discomfort or want milk.
[70:49] Most nursing mothers, when a baby starts crying, they just, just give them milk and they go. And he says, that's for newborn babies.
[71:00] So he said, the way newborn babies, all they want is milk. With that milk, they'll be, they'll be fidgety, they'll be restless. babies, when they cry like lions.
[71:15] Babies can torment you. One of the things that adults can't stand is this cry of babies. God made them so vulnerable that you can't hate them.
[71:28] they look so frail and adorable, so sweet, and yet they can torture and torment you.
[71:41] And you have this torture in this sweet, soft thing. Yeah! Milk. And he said, ask newborn babies desire you to desire the milk of the word.
[71:56] A Christian's biggest desire is not money. A Christian's biggest desire is not even a miracle. Not a miracle.
[72:08] Please. Please. Our biggest desire, oh, how love I thy law. It is my meditation all day. Job said, I love your law, your word, more than my necessary fruit.
[72:25] Job 12, 23 or 23, 12. I love your word more than my necessary fruit. If the word of God is being preached and you are keep sleeping, it's a sign, it's a sign, it's a sign, it's a sign, it's a sign that son-t-i-wong.
[72:48] Son-t-i-wong. Son-t-i-wong. And we have been giving, listen, if you are not born again, this is a good point I'm about to make.
[73:03] I need to laugh before I make that point. ha ha ha. Ha ha ha. Is it the way I love the word of God?
[73:17] I'm just getting, I'm exploding. so sorry, I can't compose myself, I can't compose myself because something is like fire. ha ha ha.
[73:28] Hey, shut up. Yes. You cannot laugh the word of God and react to the word of God the way some of us do if you are not born again.
[73:43] No, it's not in the realm of the intellect. It's from the spirit. The spirit. The spirit. The spirit. Your spirit reacts to God's word.
[73:56] Your spirit reacts to God's word. And the Bible says the love of Christ comes to God. Your spirit reacts to God's word. So that's why I am not apologetic to an unbeliever about how I react to God's word.
[74:12] Everybody have what they react to. They might also be reacting to alcohol. Yeah. Some react to all kinds of things. I don't want to mention names.
[74:24] When you are believers, you remember the things you used to react to. Yeah. React to all kinds of things. But others just love so many different things.
[74:37] Oh, how love I dialogue. It is my meditation all day. I love your law. It's my meditation.
[74:47] God created us to enjoy him. When you are born again, the first thing that happens is you develop a taste for God's word. I mean, if you have read your Bible and you couldn't put it down, you're like, this is it.
[75:02] When you read the Bible, it looks like the Bible is doing you. Oh, yes. It might not be like that every day, but there are times when you are in a good state, in a good shape.
[75:16] You pick your Bible like I was telling you, I pick my Bible and I just can't put it down. Yes. Because we have been granted access.
[75:30] If I were you, I would really shout a radical hallelujah. We've got access. access.
[75:45] Let me end by adding that. We have got access by this, by one spirit. This thing is a spiritual thing. It's just not an intellectual thing. Okay, I'm going to show me what kind of books I can read that.
[75:58] Please, please, please. It doesn't start from reading of books. It starts from the spirit bearing witness with your spirit. Romans chapter 8 verse 16, the spirit bears witness with our spirits that we are the sons of God.
[76:17] Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. By one spirit. By one spirit. We have been granted access. So he abolished the law.
[76:33] He removed, sorry, the middle wall of partition. separation. He removed the middle wall of separation. Okay, he broke the middle wall of separation. Abolished the law and commandment contained in the ordinances.
[76:48] Reconciled us to God and gave us access. He gave us access. Why would you love such a Jesus? Love for Jesus.
[77:00] What have you got?
[77:13] I want access. I didn't hear you. What have you got? I can't hear you. What have you got? I want access. What kind of access?
