[0:16] Now, Hebrews chapter 10. Today is Hebrews chapter 10, right? Yeah. It's so sweet. For the Lord having a shadow of good things to come, and not the image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offer year by year continually make their commerce there unto perfect.
[0:40] Wow. What kind of English is this? Make their commerce there unto perfect. So this is how you do it. Those of you who use King James, then you go to New King James, it will make a bit more sense.
[0:55] Can never with those same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. So those who commit there unto is those who approach.
[1:08] Okay. Now, the next verse. So it says that the, verse one back, it says that the law is just a shadow. Not the very image of the thing.
[1:20] Yeah. Yeah. The law. So if you stay in what you don't do, I don't do this, I don't do this, I'm supposed to do this, I don't do this, you might not get the real thing. Yeah. You are operating in shadows.
[1:33] Christianity, strength of Christianity is not in, in what you don't do and what you do. Not legalism. Strength of Christianity is in something else. So it says that the law was not able to make those who come here, make them perfect.
[1:50] In other words, make them not a perfect human being, but the, whatever you are looking for has been accomplished. So it's finished. That's the last time. Matured.
[2:01] Finished. You have arrived. So it's like you are doing a course and you never finish the course. Any, any time university course, let's say masters, four years, you graduate.
[2:13] But these people, they were taking 300 years and doing the same course. They never graduated. Because the thing didn't have what it took to make you graduate. You would die without being graduated.
[2:26] Can you imagine you are going to school and you will never finish till you die. You will never see a certificate. Then you have to change the school or change the lecturer. Because that thing is not making the camas thereof perfect.
[2:42] So you, you never achieve what you set out to achieve. Now the verse 2, New King James says that, for then would they not have ceased to be offered. For the worshipers, once purified, would have no more consciousness of sins.
[3:00] Once made perfect, you are not operating with God with this conscience or consciousness. King James Version. Conscience. Conscience.
[3:11] One of the things that can affect your prayer life is a conscience that is not free. When your conscience is not free, and Satan likes it.
[3:23] That's why in times like this, he will push you to say something or do things or go to places where originally you didn't intend to go to pollute your spiritual testimony.
[3:34] And then when you come to church and when you attempt to pray, all you remember is what you have done. What you shouldn't have done. Where you shouldn't have gone. Oh no. Oh no God. I'm so rubbish.
[3:45] I don't. Then some people, Satan goes as far as making them convinced that, you know, this thing is not for me. I don't want to be a hypocrite. They say, I don't want to be a hypocrite.
[3:56] So you stop. Satan says, ha ha. Congratulations. Congratulations. Because he will use your conscience to afflict you. You can never pray effectively with a wrong conscience.
[4:11] And so it says, the people who are coming, they still had consciousness or conscience of sin because the Lord was not helping. The next verse.
[4:23] Verse 3 says that, But in those sacrifices, there is a reminder of sins every year. Rather, instead of sins being taken away, sins was being reminded. Sins are always in your face.
[4:36] Every time you want to sing, show your power, Satan reminds you of sin. Anybody who confesses your sin, genuinely, God is faithful and just to forgive you.
[4:48] So somebody, that's why when you come to church and someone is behaving towards God with passion and with desire, never judge the person in spite of what you know about them. Because you might know A, B, C about them, but they are sorting it out with God.
[5:04] God is so rich in mercy, when you come and pray for mercy, he can never say no. And the one who thinks they are better than you, I don't do that, I don't do that, he's not asking for mercy.
[5:16] He's rather boasting about what he doesn't do. He always gets out of God's presence, not justified. So it's always important to make sure this sin thing in your life is sorted by confessing and forsaking it and asking for forgiveness and mercy.
[5:36] Ask for forgiveness and for mercy. And then once you have done that, genuinely, move with God. Push into God. Satan will always remind you of what you did.
[5:48] How many of you have ever heard Satan reminding you before? He will always remind you. He will always remind you. Because he won't, I'm trying to make a point, one more prayer point, ingredient of prayer, is clear conscience.
[6:04] Clear conscience is what makes you come boldly. Boldly. Clear conscience. Everybody say clear conscience. Clear conscience. Say clear conscience. So, the Lord could not make a consciousness of sin go.
[6:19] Verse 4. Look at verse 4. For it is not possible that blood, the blood of goats and bull should take sins away. Verse 5. Ah, I like the verse 5. I was waiting for verse 5 and verse 10.
[6:30] That's where the whole thing is. Verse 5 says, Therefore, when he came into the world, he said, sacrifice and offering, you did not desire, but a body you have prepared for me.
[6:47] That's talking about Jesus. When Jesus entered the world, he said, there's been some things that were going on before I showed up. They were called sacrifices. Sacrifices and offerings for sin and peace.
[7:01] Peace offerings, sin offerings. They were going on in the Old Testament because the Lord told them that this is how you should do. But the truth of the matter is, they will offer their sacrifices and still, they still have a conscience of sin.
[7:15] It was not able to take away a conscience of sin. So they were struggling. And it has made us to understand in the verse 4 that the reason why they were still struggling, the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away your...
[7:28] How many of you have run out of toothpaste before? You try to brush your teeth with just water. It's never the same.
[7:41] It's never... Even mouthwash is still never the same. Yeah. So, the blood of bulls and goats could really not do their job. So, whilst the blood of bulls and goats were going on, there was something also going on concurrently.
[7:59] Parallel to what the... So, the blood of bulls was going on, God was also basically preparing a body. Preparing a body. He said, a body that has prepared for me.
[8:11] Wow. God was preparing a body because the sacrifices, the sacrifice and the offerings did not do the job for God. After you use just water to brush your teeth and you are talking to your brother or sister, they say, hmm, this morning have you brushed your teeth?
[8:31] Say, yes, I brush. Especially the children who do that. No children, they don't like, some children don't like brushing their teeth. Some of you, you've grown up with it. Then when you come to church, they say, child, hallelujah, people sitting around you are suffering.
[8:44] Yeah. Some children, tell them, go and brush your teeth.
[8:54] They'll go and just put water in them. And then they come back. They say, open your mouth and let me see. Because when he spoke, mom could smell something from afar.
[9:08] So, even though they have used their blood to do sacrifices, when they come to God, God could smell sin. God could, the thing was not, so God said, you are doing this thing but I don't desire it.
[9:22] But let me put something temporary. Why else I prepare a body? Why else I prepare a body? Why else I prepare a body? Why else I prepare a body? A body that has prepared for me. Verse 6. Someone like me something.
[9:34] If you teach about Jesus, miracles follow cheaply. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin, you had no pleasure.
[9:45] Now you know why God didn't have pleasure. God is not doing the job. Look at verse 7. So, verse 7 said, then I said, behold, I have come. That's talking about Jesus.
[9:56] Behold, I have come. In the volume of the book, Luke chapter 24, verse 27, verse 44, verse 46, Luke 24, verse 27, it says that, and beginning from Moses and all the prophets, he expanded to them in all the scriptures.
[10:15] In all the, the scriptures was written everybody in the volume of the books in verse 44 and 46. Look at verse 44. Then he said to them, these, these are the words which I spoke to you while I was with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms concerning me.
[10:35] Verse 46. Then he said to them that it is written and that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the death. It is written of me in John chapter 5, verse 39.
[10:52] You said to the scriptures thinking that in them you might have life but these are they that testify in the volume of the book is written of me.
[11:02] John chapter 5, verse 46. John 5, 46. He said, if you, if you believe Moses, you would believe me. Wow. Because in the volume of the book it's written of me.
[11:19] No. I come to do your will. No, no, no, no. We have to find out what the will is. Because there is a problem. The problem, God had a problem and the problem was the system they were using to brush their teeth was not working.
[11:38] when they said, Lord, hallelujah, God said, hey. Are you getting what I'm saying? There was a system.
[11:50] God needed a solution. And so he came, he said, all the time when they were doing this temporal thing, what gave them the temporal solutions prescribed their body that is being prepared.
[12:01] but some of them they didn't realize that whatever the books were saying, the bigger part was talking about this body that is coming. So he said, I came to do your will.
[12:14] What's your will? Look at the next verse. I'll show you the will. Previously saying, sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings and offerings for sin you did not desire nor had pleasure in them which are offered according to the law.
[12:30] God didn't have pleasure in them. Hallelujah. Verse 9. We are going to 10 and maybe we'll take it to 11 or something. Then he said, behold, I have come to do your will, O God.
[12:44] Watch this. What's the will? He takes away the first that he may establish the second. The will of God is this, the second one.
[12:57] A better covenant must be established. Because the previous covenant and its sacrifices was not doing the job. So whilst that was going on, God was busily preparing the body and said, when the body arrived, he said, behold, I have come to do your will to take away the first and to establish the second.
[13:14] Because if you have not found fault with the first one, it wouldn't have, there wouldn't have been the need to remove it. Look at the next verse. Look at verse 10. But by that will, you see the will, by that will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of the offering.
[13:32] Hallelujah! Hallelujah! This is once for all sacrifice. We have been, chapter 9, the previous chapter, chapter 9, verse 26, and then 27, you are following, it's amazing.
[13:51] It says that he then would have had to suffer often since the world of, but now, once at the end of the ages, he has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself, not good, himself.
[14:06] Look at the next verse. As is appointed unto one, once to die, and then, look at verse 28, it's even better. So Christ was offered once to bear sins, the sins of many.
[14:19] To those who eagerly wait for him, he will appear a second time apart from sin for salvation. Hallelujah! He's coming, he's coming again.
[14:29] Jesus is coming again. If I were you, I would shout my loudness, hallelujah. Yes! He came to put away the one that was, Bible said, because of its unprofitableness.
[14:44] That's in James English. I like it. He said, the first covenant was put out because of its unprofitableness. It was not profitable. It wasn't doing the job.
[14:56] Let's go back to the chapter 10, verse 10. So he says that, for, alright, alright, let's go, let's show the 18, 7, 18, that's what I was talking about. He says that, for there is, for there is verily a disannulling of the commandments going before, for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
[15:18] So the commandment that was being put away, it was weak and it was unprofitable. It was being annulled. New King Jesus, let's see how New King Jesus put it.
[15:30] For on the, on the one hand, there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness. Hey, I like that term.
[15:43] Unprofitableness. Unprofitableness. Because of its unprofitableness, God chose to, chose to put it aside. So Jesus Christ said, I've come to do your will, to take away the first.
[15:56] Why? Because of its unprofitableness and God didn't desire it. So he said, I've come to take away the first that he may establish the second so that you and I can be in the second.
[16:14] Your hallelujah was weak. Hallelujah! Verse 10. Let's go, brother. But by that will, we have been sanctified.
[16:26] What's the will? The will he came to do. Verse 7, he said, I came to do your will. And he says that by that will, what he came to do? That will. What was the will? To put away the first and to establish the second.
[16:38] By that will, we who are come into him, by that will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Verse 11 and 12. Look at verse 11 and 12.
[16:49] Every high priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices which can never take away sins. They kept doing it. They kept doing it. It doesn't take away sin.
[17:00] Kept doing it. That is why I want to, in fact, I will read. We have to read a lot more. We have to get to verse 17. We have to get to verse 20. We have to get to 21. That's where our prayer topic is.
[17:12] Benefits of prayer. It's there. The prayer, how we should pray. But verse 11 says that, it says that, and every priest standing daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifice which can never take away sin.
[17:24] Verse 12. But this man, I like that one. But this man. But this man. Who is the man talking about? Jesus.
[17:35] Who are we talking about? Jesus. Who are we talking about? Jesus. In 1st chapter 2, verse 24, it says that, for he himself bore our sin in his own body.
[17:49] Ah! He had a body. He used his body to bear our sin on the cross. In 1st Thessalonians, sorry, 1st Colossians chapter 1, verse 22, it talks about how through his body, the body, in the body of his flesh through death to present you holy and blameless from verse 21.
[18:09] Makes sense. I think I have to read. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked words, yet now has he reconciled, how? In the body of his flesh.
[18:20] What? He brought that body. He reconciled us so anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus coming in the flesh can never receive forgiveness of sins. You can't divorce the Jesus of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John from the Jesus of Hebrews.
[18:38] Because the Jesus of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John is talking about the bodily Jesus. It is the Jesus of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. But if you stop at Jesus of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, you don't have the picture.
[18:51] Because you have to go to the Jesus of Hebrews who is seated in the heavens as the high priest offering sacrifices. Offering sacrifices on our behalf.
[19:04] Because every priest, verse 8, chapter 8, every priest is taken from amongst men. So he must first be a man.
[19:16] He must, Jesus couldn't be a high priest if he had not become a man. Because the order is that if you have to be a high priest, you have to be a man, a human being. How can you be an MP from a foreign country?
[19:30] and you are from a foreign, in fact, you are a visitor in UK and then you become MP in UK, just come visiting. No, you first of all have to be a citizen before you can be an MP.
[19:46] Jesus had to be a man in order for him to become our high priest. and it talks about is there, this one went with his own blood.
[19:59] Let's look at it. But this man, verse 12, but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sin forever, sat down at the right hand of God.
[20:12] Shout hallelujah. That's what Christianity is about. That's what Christianity is about. No religion can talk about this.
[20:25] No experts can talk about this. Other religions can try to pray, even though when they pray, where is it going? To demons. Other religions can try to pray. Other religions can try to sing.
[20:38] Other religions can gather. Almost everything we are doing, other religions can do it, and some even non-religious organizations can also do some of the things we are doing. But when it comes to talking about this, this man, this man, so some other religions are trying to have a crossover appeal to say that Jesus was a Muslim.
[20:59] For what? Why would he do that? Why would he do that?
[21:11] He's busy offering his body for forgiveness of sin. He doesn't have time to go into a mosque. Jesus does not do mosques.
[21:23] Jesus doesn't do temples. Because there's only one temple is the one he raised, which is called the body of Christ. Well, let's look at verse 13.
[21:39] Is that one learning something? I prefer this one. if we can sink our teeth into these things, miracles will be common place in our midst.
[21:49] from that time, wait, this one, when I saw it today, I said, ah, that's why when he resurrected from the cross, he didn't go to Pontius Palate.
[21:59] He didn't go to his enemies because he had to go and sit down. And then now wait for his enemies. When he resurrected, he didn't have time for enemies because he still had to be our high priest.
[22:14] So after resurrection, that's not when he's going to say, hi, Pontius Palate, I tell you, sir, you see, go to the high priest, go to the Sahindrin and show them his powers. It's not necessary. He was busy going up to go and sit down and wait for his enemies to be made his food stool.
[22:32] Hallelujah! Verse 14, for by one offering, for by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
[22:47] One, meanwhile, the Old Testament, there were several offerings and still people had confessions of sin. By him, one offering. Chapter 9, verse 12, look at what, I like that one before I move on.
[23:02] Chapter 9, verse 12 says that, verse 11, verse 11, verse 11, I like that, verse 12, but Christ came as high priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabalical, not made with hands, that is not in this creation.
[23:18] So the tabernacle he ministers in is not a building that human beings can build, it's God's building that has been built in heaven already. So he's the only one who entered the heavenly sanctuary.
[23:29] But guess what, you don't go as high priest with an empty hand. Every high priest must go with something in your hands. You must, Bible says, you must, chapter 8, you must have something to offer because every high priest must have something to offer.
[23:43] You must have something to offer. chapter 8, chapter 8, chapter 8, for every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore, it is necessary that this one also must have something to offer.
[23:56] This is our high priest. If he's a high priest and he's going before the sanctuary, he must have something to offer. But what is he going to offer? All the old high priests, they're offering the blood of another because when you shed your blood, you can't get them.
[24:12] only our high priest, he shed his blood, got up, collected his blood. Somebody shout hallelujah!
[24:23] Hallelujah! He says that not with blood of goats and cows, but with his own blood, he entered the most holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
[24:39] yes, he didn't go with goats blood, he went with it, can you imagine? You have to go with your own blood. How? How can you live to tell the story?
[24:51] He died, that's why when he resurrected, he didn't have time to go and prove any point to anybody because he has real work to do. He said, now he's going as a high priest, so he has to collect his own blood and he has to appear before God with not another man's blood, with his own blood, not for himself, but for us.
[25:22] Look at verse 13. No, no, no, okay, let's move on, let's go back to 10. 10, verse 15 now. Verse 15 said, but the Holy Spirit also witnessed to us, for after he had said before, okay, this is the covenant which I'll make with them after those days, says the Lord, I'll put my law in their hearts and in their minds I will write them.
[25:47] Time will not permit me to dig into this. When you are born again, there's something inside you. Sometimes you have not been taught some things, but you can't do some things. Because the law has been put in your hearts and it's been written on your mind.
[26:03] It's put in your heart first before it's written on your mind. But because of time, look, I was waiting to get to verse 17 and verse 18. Watch. Then he asked, there are sins and they are lawless deeds.
[26:17] deeds. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Did he say that?
[26:28] Yes! He said, there are sins and there are lawless deeds. Me, I will remember, God said, I will intentionally have amnesia.
[26:39] intentionally self-imposed amnesia when it comes to you. So if Satan attempts to remind God of what you have done, God said, I don't remember.
[26:58] You went to do some stuff and you regretted and you repented, you repented and the mercy of God covers you. The blood of Christ was shed once upon to wipe the sins. God said, now you come to God, Satan said, God, have you forgotten?
[27:13] Look, this person, God is saying, what are you talking about? Who are you? This one? No, he hasn't done anything. I don't remember. I don't remember.
[27:24] God said, I don't remember. God said, I don't remember. God said, I don't remember. I don't remember.
[27:37] God, how can he forget? No, I don't remember. He didn't say, I forgot. Yes, I just, I don't remember. I don't remember. I don't remember.
[27:49] God, he fornicated. I don't remember. I don't remember. God, he was watching pornography. I don't remember. God, he was insulting the pastor.
[28:04] I don't remember. I don't remember. Because he had prayed for forgiveness, he has turned his back away from it, and so once and for all, the blood, if it was goat's blood, then I'll remember.
[28:23] If it was the blood of booze, then I'll remember. I don't remember. that's why we are standing here to pray. Now look at the next verse. Because God doesn't remember, he said, now where there is remission of these, there is no longer offering for, because why are you bringing an offering for sin that doesn't exist?
[28:46] It's been taken out. I remember I preached a message a few years ago, that sin is now history. sin is history.
[28:57] God said, I don't remember. There's somebody here. You have to be born again today, so God will not remember. Else, every time you come to God, how are you?
[29:08] How are you? Judgment is after you, with this bad behavior and the bad things you are doing. And God, you stand before God, you are not born again.
[29:22] in Jamaica. When your prayer should be answered, you live with the curse.
[29:37] Because you have not forsaken your sin and repented and applied the blood of the Lamb to cover you. Verse 19, therefore, brethren, now that's where our prayer comes in.
[29:56] Before you start praying, you must make sure you've been through the verse 11, verse 12, verse 13. That's what explains how you can pray. Other than that, if you have not passed through verse 11, verse 12, it will not be profitable to you.
[30:13] Because God does not remember the sin, why would he remember the sin? because of the blood of Jesus which he shared, the body that was offered for us, God doesn't remember the sin.
[30:25] Therefore, therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter Abba Shakataya, to enter the holies of holies, by the blood of Jesus.
[30:36] Jesus. Your name is the higher, your name is the greater, your name stands above the foe, but the foe knows his opinion or power and position your name stands above the foe.
[31:08] And the angels cry, holy, holy, oh, creation God, holy, you are lifted high, holy, holy, holy, forever, holy, forever, we are people, people, we are people, people,明後 of the Holy, holy, holy, holy So, it said, therefore, having boldness Therefore, it said, therefore, brethren
[32:09] That means brothers and sisters Therefore, brothers and sisters Having boldness to enter into places That no human being can just enter We have boldness Listen, that's what I was talking about Without clear conscience, you don't have boldness One of the ingredients that help for answered prayers Is boldly coming before God With an undefiled conscience Look at the next verse By the blood of Jesus By a new and a living will Which he consecrated for us through the veil What is the veil? That is his flesh He used his flesh as a veil to consecrate something So, if you want to enter that holy You have to come through that veil So, when people tell you that Jesus Christ is not the son of God Who came in the flesh 1 John says that anyone who denies that Jesus Has come in the flesh is the antichrist Because you need the Jesus of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
[33:09] In order to enjoy the Jesus of Hebrews So, he says that he has consecrated for us through the veil Which is his flesh If you want to get into the presence of God There's always a veil You have to go through it And the veil is the flesh of Jesus Now, look at the next verse So, he says let's come boldly Let's come boldly Having boldness to enter by the blood of Jesus And, verse 20 Having boldness to enter by the blood of Jesus 20 And by a new and a living way I like that one He said better one New way New way Living way New way So, let's come by Having boldness to enter By a new and a living way Which Jesus himself consecrated for us He said so did for us That this is the way you can now use To come so your prayers can be answered If you are not born again I feel sorry for you I feel sorry for your destiny
[34:12] I mourn for your future If you are not born again Let's come by a new way Which he has consecrated for those who are born again As soon as you are born again Whatever he has procured is yours Amen And he said let's come Before God Through the blood In a new and a living way Which shall consecrated for us Through the veil which is his flesh Look at verse 21 And having a high priest over the house So, now First of all We have boldness To come by the blood And we have high priest Over the house of God These two things Because of these two things Look at the next verse Let us draw Let us draw near With a true heart True heart True heart You know you are a child of God And you are not faking what you are doing Come here Anytime you fall to sin
[35:13] Get up from sin And come to God with a true heart Come to God Come with a true heart Even if you did it intentionally Get up And come and say God I shouldn't even know I have no idea Be truthful Be truthful And stop comparing yourself to people Come with a true heart In full akatimo shindahaya Now watch this Watch this This is very important So you are supposed to come with two things With a true heart No with one thing A true heart Which is in full assurance of faith It's only faith that guarantees That this thing is working for you You must be assured That this thing Pastor is talking about It's me It's me When we finish church You should be able to come to me Pastor You were talking about me You were talking about me But now You should be able to say that Pastor I'm the one Who you are talking about That I should draw near With a true heart In full assurance of faith That's why without faith
[36:14] You are in trouble Full assurance Faith gives you some assurance That it will be difficult For someone to talk you out Let them say what they will say Watch this You need to understand this It says that Let us draw near With a true heart In full assurance of faith Your heart must be true And your faith must be full Before you get to That full assurance of faith It says that Having our hearts sprinkled From You see what conscience can do against you So our hearts must be sprinkled From evil conscience And our bodies washed With pure water of the word Pure water Pure water Yeah Your body must be washed And your conscience Your evil conscience Must be cleansed Evil conscience is working Against the answers To your prayers Evil conscience
[37:15] How many of you have prayed With bad conscience before You come to church And your conscience is bad When the pastor is preaching As soon as he starts coming You say my God Let him not come close Let him not come close Let him Most people never want to come close To the front Because sometimes It's evil conscience That is working When they come to church Early usher Usher They say no I want to stay at the back They will sit at the back They say no No one should stay But then they will go to the toilet They will wait When it's full Because they don't want to go Anywhere near Evil Most of the time I'm not saying always But usually It's the manifestation Of evil conscience Yeah So it says that If for Watch this I have to finish on this This is the point Let us draw near With a true heart And the true heart Must be in full assurance Of faith But before you get to A true heart In full assurance Of faith You must have your Having So that
