[0:14] Why is it important to pray, number one? When we say we are praying to God, it's not the same thing as other religions. Other religions, what do they pray to?
[0:28] Demons. Other religions pray to demons, but they don't even know. But demons, you don't have to know because they present themselves as an angel of light.
[0:40] Number two, why do we have to pray? Because what? Because God answers prayers.
[0:50] So since God answers prayers, it's good to pray. Number three. Number four is what? Number five.
[1:07] It authorizes heaven to intervene. How many of us want heaven to do something about a case? The means to do that is prayer. Number six.
[1:17] Open heavens. Open heavens. Open heavens. Open heavens. How many of you are expecting open heavens? And when your heavens opens, how do we know you will stay in church?
[1:29] Number seven. Number seven. There are evil forces.
[1:41] If your prayer escapes them, they will come through your job. Yeah. Or they will come through the way you marry. Or they will come through the way you, the housing, your housing condition.
[1:53] Yes. So please. There are spiritual forces. That's why we have to pray just to make it a day. Number eight. We are what?
[2:09] We are strengthened when we pray. Number nine. Are you sure you got it right? Number nine is what? Yes.
[2:21] In a time of affliction, prayer helps us to deal with afflictions. Number 10. Okay. Yeah. When you pray, you run into God and take cover.
[2:35] Sometimes when it's raining, you go and you are not driving. You go and stand in the bus for shelter. Yeah. So God is our shelter.
[2:47] Amen. I see testimony coming to you. Number 10. No, sorry. 11. Illumination.
[3:01] You understand things better. Spiritual things. Deeper things of life. It helps you to get revelations and things clearer. Illumination.
[3:12] Illumination is not necessarily you had a dream and things are clearer. There are good things that you need to know. You begin to know. I'm not talking about just academic and social things.
[3:23] I'm talking about spiritual things. Wisdom that will give you mastery in any field of endeavor. All right. And then number 12 is you stand in the gap.
[3:34] Sometimes people around you are suffering. Your mother, your brother, your sister. And when you pray, you're able to stand in the gap for somebody who might not be able to pray.
[3:45] Your child's condition is worrying. When you pray, you stand in the gap for that child. You stand in the gap for your sister. And then number 13.
[4:02] You are dealing with things that your mind is more than your mind. So the reason why nobody in your family likes schooling. You know, when you begin to pray, you are dealing with things that your mind is bigger than your mind.
[4:15] Can you imagine if your grandfather did something and there's a curse on the family? But you never knew. You never knew. And nobody knows. Your mom doesn't know. Your dad doesn't know.
[4:27] And it's still, when you start to pray, you begin to pack up the things you don't know. It's a very important thing. You got to pray. Number 14. Divine enablement.
[4:42] God enables you. When you pray, you begin, certainly you are able to do certain things that normally you struggle to do. You are able to think differently.
[4:52] You are able to think healthy. The thoughts that will make you a genius in your organization. That's what happened to Daniel. Shadrach. Yeah.
[5:03] Yeah. These guys were prayerful guys. So they were able to, today's reading, it says that Daniel is the master of the magicians. Yes.
[5:14] Master. He was chief of the magicians. God. That guy is. And he says that there's the spirit of the ghost is in him. The king was saying that there was this man in whom is the spirit of the ghost.
[5:25] I know. He said, because I know that the spirit of the holy ghost is. No, the verse before. The verse before. He spoke about that verse. And in whom is there.
[5:36] So this is the king speaking that there's a guy. According to the name. His name is Belshazzar. And in whom is the spirit of the holy ghost. So he knew. Before he told Daniel, I know he's inside you.
[5:47] He reported that. Because of this unusual abilities that the guy had. I see you having that kind of ability. Your company will meet a big crisis.
[6:00] And you. God will give you the wisdom to prescribe the solution. Yeah. Divine enablement. And then. Besides divine enablement.
[6:11] Number 15. When you pray, you're actually communing with God. Yeah. Yeah. It's the covenant prescribed way to engage with God. Number 16.
[6:24] Prayer creates room for the fulfillment of God's purpose on earth. So as we pray, we create room. What God has planned to be done, will be done.
[6:35] You keep creating room. You keep creating room. Number 17. Holy Spirit. When you pray, the Holy Spirit gets released upon people who pray.
[6:46] Number 18. Oh. I didn't give you. Okay. So thank God. It's like they're three. Acts chapter 4 verse 31.
[6:57] It said, And when they had prayed, the place shook where they had assembled together. The place was shaking. What caused the place to shake? Prayer.
[7:09] In Acts chapter 16 verse 25. At midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises. And there was an earthquake. Prayer will shake places. Yeah.
[7:20] Wherever you are operating from, if you are prayerful, the place will be shaking. It might not be physical earthquake, but things will not be the same. Yeah. Things will not be the same. There are some of us in that company, in that university, in that organization, in that big family and all the things that are going on.
[7:39] Your prayer will shake things. And chains will fall. When things are shaking, chains fall. When things are shaking, people who lie are exposed.
[7:51] Yeah. Prayer will shake things. So, just be busy praying and things are shaking. Wow. Hallelujah. Number 19. Oh, I like this.
[8:03] I like number 19. I like number 19. I think, let me give you a scripture. I think it should be James chapter 1. James chapter 1 verse 5.
[8:15] What does it say? Let's read it. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. God is a giver of wisdom, right?
[8:32] Why doesn't he just distribute it? No, he only gives it to those who ask. He only will give it to those who ask. Prayer brings wisdom. Listen, many, many, about 90% of problems in life is wisdom problem.
[8:51] Where? It's wisdom problem. People don't know what to do. That's why they are in a certain problem. Yeah. Most of us, you are so spiritual. But one of the things that show that your spirituality is not authentic is you lack wisdom.
[9:06] You lack wisdom. You lack wisdom in dealing with people. You lack wisdom in dealing with family. You lack wisdom in dealing with wife. You lack wisdom. You lack wisdom.
[9:19] If there's something you should pray for. If your prayer is correct prayer, it begins to give you wisdom. Because he said, does anyone lack wisdom? Let him pray. Paul said, therefore, when I heard of your faith, Ephesians chapter 1 verse 14, 15.
[9:33] I had no cease to make mention of you in my breath. Praying always for you that God will give you what? The spirit of wisdom is a prayer topic. Yes. In Revelation and wisdom. When you pray, you expose yourself to divine wisdom.
[9:47] There is devilish wisdom. There is sensual wisdom. There is earthly wisdom. And there is wisdom from above. Four types of wisdom. So, those of you who think you are wise.
[9:59] Bible says that wisdom is justified by Luke chapter 5, I think 37 or 7, 35. Wisdom is justified by her children. Yes.
[10:10] How do you know someone has wisdom? Look at the outcome of their lives. Outcome of their lives. Jesus said, wisdom is justified by her children. If you are wise, it will show in your productivity, in your results.
[10:29] Doesn't matter how spiritual you look. If you lack wisdom, your spirituality is not complete. In fact, Jesus Christ in Mark chapter, I think 6. Yeah, Mark chapter 6 verse 2 and 3.
[10:40] They said, what wisdom is this that is given to this man? And he does this mighty works. So, when you have wisdom, it shows in mighty works. Not feelings.
[10:52] Works. Results. Am I preaching at all? Amen. Yeah. When you pray, what do you get? What do you get? We have the mind of Christ.
[11:06] Amen. And let me add the last one. When you pray, the reason why we pray is why should we pray? Because prayer gives revelation of secrets. Now, as soon as you say secrets, you know what some people are thinking?
[11:20] You know, other people's secrets. Other people's secrets. That's what most of us like. You want to know what somebody's thinking. You know what?
[11:31] That's why some of you, the reason why you want anointing. Yeah. The reason why you want anointing, a word of knowledge, is that you are on the train and you know what somebody's thinking.
[11:45] That is, what's that? Sabrina, the teenage witch. Yes. It's witchcraft. Why should God be telling somebody about you, about somebody's business?
[11:57] Why? So you are thinking, okay, I wish I had this gift of revelation. I would have told her. Sometimes you are doing evangelism and you are waiting, God, give me revelation.
[12:08] So I will know something. He won't tell you. Just talk about Jesus. You're talking about Jesus. Bible says the secrets of his heart will be exposed.
[12:20] Yeah. So, but when I'm talking about revelation, I'm talking about revelation. That is necessary and relevant for your assignment. Like I was reading Daniel today and I saw lengthening of days of tranquility through mercy.
[12:40] It means a mercy bit I saw because I'm a leader and I deal with a lot of people. And sometimes people will crisscross you. Especially people who go and sit online and attack us.
[12:53] You know, all these people, you feel like the edge you open and swallow them. But mercy. So it's disloyal people who will be smiling with you. But they have a dagger in their back behind them too.
[13:06] And sometimes they don't know you have seen them. They don't know you have seen them. And so sometimes you have to go on your knees, pray for them. No, I don't want to pray for them. Me, no. I don't want to pray.
[13:16] But I have to have mercy. Even if I don't pray for them. Lord, have mercy. When people offend you and you are in need and they come around, receive them. Show mercy.
[13:29] No, not for you, but me. I need a lot of it. Because then I realized that me too. I need a lot of mercy which will expose me to divine wisdom and divine immunity.
[13:41] Yeah. I need. So when I was reading, I stumbled across it. I said, wow. It jumped out to me. I said, wow. So Nebuchadnezzar could have avoided this if he had put some systems in place.
[13:52] But I didn't. He didn't. That's why I saw. Now these are secrets that are relevant for my assignment. For my peace and for my life.
[14:05] Wisdom is a principal thing. So when you pray, God begins to show you things. Say, Daniel was about to die. His head was on the line.
[14:15] And he went to his friends, chapter 2, verse 18 and 19. He said, let us go and seek God concerning this matter. He said, that we will desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret.
[14:28] That Daniel and his fellows will not perish. I need the secret that will not make me perish. Yes. I need that secret. Every judge that rests his head in the United Kingdom, that starts doing the attack.
[14:42] That's why I need more mercy and wisdom and secrets. So we can thrive. Because if you are a pastor of a church in the UK, you are always hot cake. Especially in London. They are coming after you for some reason.
[14:54] Something will come after you and you are likely to come down flat. But when you are praying with insight into secrets, wisdom and divine direction, it's a different story.
[15:06] Yeah. So that's why I need mercy. And we need to pray. When you pray, pray God. Why is it that I am still not getting a job? There is secret to be revealed to you.
[15:16] It might not be some demons that are attacking you. It might be one thing on your CV. It might be one thing on your CV. Why is it that every lady I say I want to marry, they say no.
[15:32] They say no. It might be a secret that you don't know. That you are chasing footballers' wives. Yes. Yes. When you pray for some reason, even if God doesn't show you, it drops.
[15:47] Ah! You get a eureka moment. Illumina. Ah, well. A secret is done. The difference between secret and elimination is, elimination is more regarding spiritual things and God, knowing God more.
[16:01] While secret is things that are relevant for your next level. For your progress. Suddenly, you know. Ah, now I understand why my wife is so sad regularly.
[16:14] Because you didn't know what you have done. But as you pray, suddenly it will dawn on you. Oh, last week was her birthday. Oh, no. Yeah, a secret is revealed to you.
