[0:00] Hallelujah! We thank God you've tuned into this message by David Entry at Karis Church. No hand can help you with the fulfillment of your destiny but the Word of God.

[0:11] May God's hand align you further into your destiny through this word. Evidences of His divinity from scripture. Number one is His divine names. Number two is His divine attributes.

[0:26] His omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresence, eternity, immutability, His pre-existence. And then number three is His divine offices. He was there in creation. He preserves everything.

[0:44] The power to forgive. The power to raise the dead. And then number four is statements that were made exclusively for God were attributed to Him.

[0:57] Statements that were made exclusively for God were attributed to Him. And then number five, I spoke the faith evidence that the way in which the name of the Father was coupled with His name.

[1:17] He said, baptizing the name of the Father, the Son. Jesus Himself said that if you honor the Father, you honor the Son. If you dishonor the Son, you dishonor the Father. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship.

[1:32] The way the Father's name was linked to Him is a reflection of some of the evidence of His divinity.

[1:43] And then number six, divine worship was ascribed to the Lord Jesus, that He received worship. Angels would not accept anyone to worship them. God's angels, demons like worship.

[1:54] And then number seven, His own claims to deity. Jesus Christ said He is God. His claim, evidence, seventh evidence in Scripture. And then His own self-consciousness.

[2:07] He said, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. And then the devil looked after 4 verse 4. Satan came to Him, no verse 3. Satan came to Him, he said, if you are the Son of God, command, if you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.

[2:24] If you are the Son of God. Matthew 4, 3, Luke 4, 3, the same. Meanwhile, Matthew 3, 17, as He was being baptized, a voice came from heaven and He said, this is my beloved.

[2:39] God said, this is my beloved Son. Satan comes, He said, if you are the Son of God. And you know what I saw when I was studying my Bible?

[2:50] I saw that, if you want to crucify Him on the cross. They said, if you are the Son of God. It was said again in Matthew chapter, I think, 57. The priest said, if you are the Son of God, come down.

[3:04] If you are the Son, verse 40, saying that, you who destroyed the temple and built in three days, save yourself. If you are the Son of God. See the same thing.

[3:15] They said, abort the mission of the cross. If you are the Son of God, come down. Come down from the cross. In fact, one of the priest said, come down and we shall believe you. He wants us to believe you. Do what is contrary to the will of God and we shall believe you.

[3:29] So, even on the cross, Satan was still trying to use, challenge him that if you are the Son of God. He said, save others. And he cannot save himself.

[3:40] If he is the king of Israel, let him come down from the cross and we will believe you. But the priest said, if you are the Son of God. In Mark chapter 15, verse 39, the centurion said, ah, truly, this is the Son of God.

[3:53] When he saw the way the guy cried and breathed his laugh, he said, no. This man is the Son of God. Okay, so you can't see that. This is just of what I'm teaching.

[4:04] That I actually saw, even on the cross, Satan was challenging. If you are the Son of God, calm down. If you are what kind of Son of God is this that is hanging on the cross? So, if you look at the challenge and the ideas, contrary ideas against the lordship of Jesus Christ, you can see it's already mimicked in Scripture by the sound of the enemy.

[4:24] So, most of the things people say against the word of God and the Christ of God is not new. It's the same line Satan has been used. He hasn't changed his chorus.

[4:36] For instance, in Genesis chapter 3, Satan came to Eve in verse 4, verse 3 or 4. So, Genesis chapter 3 or 4. He said, has God indeed, the serpent said, no, okay, verse 2.

[4:50] Now the serpent came, okay, verse 1. And he said to the woman, has God indeed said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

[5:01] And then the woman said, we may eat, but the other fruit we shouldn't touch. And then the devil had the unmitigated audacity to say, you will not die.

[5:12] You shall not shoulder my God. He challenged the word of God right from the beginning. So, when some other religions like, say that this is not the word of God, it is the same line Satan has been singing from the beginning.

[5:23] They all, Satan loves to challenge the word of God. They will tell you that the book of Enoch is the word of God. They sound like Satan. Sounds like Satan.

[5:34] Even though the person doesn't have to be evil, has to be well-meaning. Satan likes using well-meaning people and intelligent people as well as foolish people. Satan will use anything that looks formidable apart from what is godly or what is spiritual.

[5:49] So, Satan, if you give him a chance, he will use you in the church. Yeah, he will use you easily. He will use you in the church against the church. He will use you against somebody's spiritual growth and passion.

[6:01] He can use you easily. He can move you to go and sit online and talk easily. Satan will use anybody. So, he said, the devil came to challenge the word of God, right?

[6:15] The first comment Satan made on earth is to challenge God. He said, has God in this earth? Is it not the same thing he came to Jesus? After God, a voice came from heaven after his baptism.

[6:29] And the voice said, this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. When he managed to meet Satan at Jesus after church, Satan met Jesus after church. He said, and he called you on the phone.

[6:40] Are you sure if you are the son of God? But God just said, the voice came from heaven. You know, sometimes you can hear the voice from God and you are so convinced that when you came to church, God has spoken to you.

[6:51] Until you close and you meet somebody and say, you know why the pastor will say all this? So, Satan likes that. The ninth evidence of Jesus' eighth.

[7:02] Eighth is the virgin birth. If you are born by a virgin, you must be somebody different from a human being. Yeah. The virgin birth in scripture points to his deity.

[7:14] That's why Jehovah's Witnesses deny his virgin birth. Because if they accept it, they are accepting that he is not a normal human being. His virgin birth points to his divinity.

[7:27] And then finally, number nine, his resurrection. Because no human being dies and wakes up. It's only God who can wake up. So, his resurrection, which we have been.

[7:38] And then the next point is evidence of his humanity. Because some people believe he is God, but he is not proper, fully human. He is like a hybrid.

[7:50] He is not fully human, he is a hybrid. You know, so, you know, these are the things that if you are not taught, you don't know the boundaries of Christian belief.

[8:01] You must know what a belief doesn't include. So, okay, I accept he was born by a virgin Mary. In fact, there are people who believe that what is most important is he died.

[8:12] Whether he resurrected or not. It's an ethereal, cerebral. You can't verify it. You can't say that, well, anyway, maybe, you never know, maybe Mary didn't speak the truth.

[8:23] Maybe she was not actually a virgin. But people, you see, that's why the gospel, things like the gospel of Thomas and some of the Philip Thomas gospels.

[8:35] And then you think, well, the truth is Jesus actually has died to save us. Now you are getting into making waters. How can another human being's blood save you? Because the sin is in the blood.

[8:49] The sin is, that's why the Bible says that what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh. Romans chapter 8 verse 3. God did by sending forth his son in the likeness of the sinful flesh.

[9:05] But he was without the sin of the flesh. Because his blood was not an Adamic blood. His blood was not the normal blood. The Bible says that you are saved by the, first Peter chapter 1 verse 18.

[9:19] Precious blood! Hallelujah! The Bible used the word precious. Say precious. Precious. Precious blood of Christ. Precious. He says that, take care of the church which he has purchased with his own blood.

[9:33] No, no, that's a serious thing. Acts chapter 20 verse 28. Yes, but it says, first Corinthians chapter 6. It says, for you are saved with the, you are bought, purchased at a price.

[9:44] You've been purchased. What? Verse 20. For you have been bought at a price. Therefore glorify. It's a price, the price. The price to purchase us is the blood. The blood, Hebrews talks about, after he has offered his own blood once and for all.

[10:01] So, now these are what the, the, the facts that determine Christianity. Yeah. If you don't know, you might think, oh it doesn't matter.

[10:14] Like somebody once said, Jesus is half human, 50% human, 50% divine. Jesus is not half man, half human. He was truly man and truly God. But in the book of first Timothy chapter 2 verse 5.

[10:27] Shall we all read the outline? Let's go. For there is one God and our creature, who is the Lord and the man Christ Jesus. The who? The man Christ. The who?

[10:38] The man Christ. So there you can see a man. The man Christ Jesus. He is fully man. John 1, 1.

[10:51] And the word, and the word, and this word which was God, verse 14 says that, and the word which was God became flesh.

[11:04] He became flesh and dwelt amongst us. He actually lived amongst us. So I'm talking about the evidence of Jesus' full humanity.

[11:15] Isaiah chapter 53 verse 1 says, who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? Who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

[11:33] In John chapter 12 verse 38, it says that the saying of Isaiah the prophet, give us New King James please.

[11:44] Thank you. That the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke. Lord, who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord fulfilled?

[11:56] They quoted from this. In fact, this Isaiah chapter 53 has been quoted in the New Testament than any Old Testament text. It was quoted in Matthew, quoted in Mark, quoted in Luke, quoted in John, quoted in Acts, quoted in Romans, quoted in 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, quoted in Galatians, quoted in Titus, 2 Timothy, quoted in Thessalonians, quoted in Hebrews, quoted in James, quoted in Peter.

[12:30] What is quoted in Timit? quoted frequently and in fact, Isaiah chapter 53 ends in verse 12, right? Verse 12, every verse has been quoted in the New Testament.

[12:42] Every verse. Every verse was quoted in the New Testament. I'm talking about only Isaiah 53. Every verse is quoted in the New Testament. That's why it's called the first gospel as I told you. So verse 1 says that who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed.

[13:00] Romans chapter 10 verse 16. He repeated it. Who has believed? Romans chapter. But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has? See, even Paul was quoting it in Romans.

[13:13] Who has believed? And he quoted clearly, Isaiah said. What's the meaning of that? When the prophets were talking about the coming of the Messiah, people didn't believe that a human being is going to come.

[13:26] A human being is going to come and he's going to have a divine status on earth. It says, to whom? Isaiah chapter 51 verse 9. Awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord.

[13:40] Awake, as in the ancient days. Oh, this is like a text that belongs to Caris. In the generations of old, are you not the arm that cut Rahab apart and wounded the serpent?

[13:54] Awake, the arm of the Lord. Oh, arm of God, arise. Look at Isaiah chapter 52 verse 10. The arm of the Lord, I submit to, is talking about Jesus.

[14:04] The Lord has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations. The arm of the Lord is representing Jesus Christ.

[14:17] The arm that brings victory. The arm of power. He said, so who has relieved our report? To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

[14:29] The next verse, verse 2. It says that he shall grow up before him as a tender plant. And as a root out of the dry ground. He has no form or coming.

[14:42] That's talking about Jesus Christ. Now, this is, Isaiah 53 talks about Jesus' incarnation. I hope you understand what we mean by incarnation. How he became a human being from his infancy.

[14:53] So this is talking about his infancy. He has grown up like a tender root out of the ground. There's nothing so, tender root out of the ground is so easy. He's easily despised. Can anything come out of Nazareth?

[15:05] Can anything good come out of it? He grew up in territories and the way that, look at where he was born, say. Why was he not born? When wise men, wise men, they are wise.

[15:16] Wise men know where to look for good things. They went straight to the palace. Because if you are looking for a king, why would you go to a manger? Went to Kensington Palace.

[15:27] Yes, they went to Kensington Palace. But I have good news for somebody who grew up in Peckham, who grew up in Stockwell, who grew up in Croydon, who grew up in Reading, somebody who grew up in Leighton, and who grew up in somewhere where people are despised.

[15:45] I'm telling you, God is able to bring out greatness, greatness from wherever you come from. Shout yes! Yes! Good job, brother.

[15:56] Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant and as a root out of a dry ground. He has no form or calmliness.

[16:08] And when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. There's nothing that makes you think, ah, this is the king I want to follow. When Jesus appeared, he was so ordinary.

[16:20] He looked so ordinary. He looked so basic. He looked so mundane that it was very easy, very easy to despise him. In his humanity, he grew up not like a large tree.

[16:34] In his humanity, he grew up like a tender, very small, delicate sprout before God. Our God. And he grew up in difficult environment.

[16:46] He grew up, he should have grown up, watch this. I think Jesus should have grown up in Herod, not Herod's palace, Caesar. Caesar. Caesar's palace. Because that is the greatest man on earth.

[16:58] Jesus Christ, the greatest. He should have grown up there. Even Moses grew up in Pharaoh's palace. Jesus grew up in unexpected, some simple, simple places.

[17:13] Look at somebody and tell the person, don't despise days of little beginnings. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. In Isaiah chapter 11, verse 1, it talks about how he's a root of David.

[17:27] It says that, There shall come forth a root from the stem of David, and a branch shall grow out in his roots. Talking about David.

[17:40] So the stem of Jesse, and then a branch shall grow up in his roots. Jesse's root, a branch is growing out. He grew up as a tender.

[17:51] That's Isaiah. Isaiah is talking to us about Jesus' early days. Look at verse 3. He is despised and rejected. Ah.

[18:02] He is despised and rejected. A man of sorrow. Let's read it from the screen. Let's go. He is despised and rejected by men. A man of sorrows and a man of grief.

[18:14] And he gave it as a brother of our cases from him. He was despised and he did not see him. He is despised. A man of sorrows, that means that his life was familiar with painful moments.

[18:31] His life was familiar. Isaiah says that he was a man of sorrow. A man of sorrows. Familiar with sufferings. He is despised and rejected by men. A man of sorrow, acquainted with grief.

[18:44] Acquainted with grief. He knew what pain was like. That's our Messiah. I don't know what you might be going through. But he knows what it means to go through grief.

[18:57] He knows what it means to go through sorrow. He knows what it means to go through pain. Look at Luke chapter 23 verse 11. Luke chapter 23 verse 11. Then Herod, with his men of war, treated him with contempt and mocked him.

[19:13] I read him in a gorgeous robe and sent him back to Palestine. This is how they treated him. They didn't value him. They didn't respect him. In Isaiah chapter 49 verse 7.

[19:26] Before Isaiah 49 verse 7. Let's look at Mark chapter 9 verse 12. In Mark chapter 9 verse 12. Then he answered and told them. Indeed, Elijah is coming first and restore all things.

[19:40] And how it is written concerning the Son of Man. That he must suffer many things and be treated with. And Herod them treated him with contempt. They despise him. Haven't you ever been treated with contempt before?

[19:53] Especially sometimes because of where you grew up. Sometimes your background. Sometimes your race. Sometimes your gender. Sometimes your accent.

[20:04] That's exactly what I was trying to say. How did you know that's what I was going to say? Isaiah chapter 49 verse 7. That says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, thy Holy One.

[20:17] Some of you didn't see it.

[20:44] Don't worry when people despise you. Be worried when God has not chosen you. It says that that's just the Redeemer of Israel, the Holy One.

[20:54] To whom men have despised. To him whom nations uphold. The servant of rulers. Kings shall see and arise. Princes shall worship. Because of the Lord who is faithful.

[21:06] The Holy One. When God sees you. A time is coming. Kings will rise up and worship you. Tell somebody I'm chosen. I'm chosen. I'm chosen. Hallelujah.

[21:16] Hallelujah. Psalm 22 verse 6. What does it say? That I am forever. I am forever. For you who shall be and why I am coming to you.

[21:29] Let's go. Let's go. Wow.

[21:39] Now, for your information. These are the prophetic words of Jesus. Okay. Psalm 22 is talking about Jesus Christ on the cross. I think it's in Psalm 22 where it says, my God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

[21:53] It's in verse 1. Is that not what Jesus cried out? So, Psalm 22 and Psalm 6. Psalm 22 is about the cross. Psalm 16 is about the resurrection. So, Psalm 22 verse.

[22:05] Let's go to the verse 6 again. This is what Jesus accepted of it. He said, I am a worm. And no man. A reproach to man. And despised by the people.

[22:17] Jesus was despised. So, back to Isaiah. It says that Jesus Christ was despised and rejected of men. Acquainted with grief. He was despised.

[22:30] The last statement there. And we esteem him not. Verse 4 says that surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. Yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God.

[22:43] Surely. Matthew 8, 17 says that. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet. Saying he himself took our infirmities. And bow.

[22:55] Wow. You know that Isaiah chapter 53. It's such a powerful scripture. I've always looked forward to the day where every time I'm preaching I'll be quoting from Isaiah.

[23:07] But I don't get to. And today God has mandated me to preach a whole hour. Somebody shout hallelujah. I am convinced that it's a new season.

[23:21] Your miracle is about to embrace you right now. Your testimony is about to jump on your life right now. Your breakthrough is about to come on you in the name of Jesus.

[23:32] Shout hallelujah. Verse 5 says that but he was wounded. Ah. So good. So good. So good. So good. But he was wounded for our transgressions. But he was wounded for our transgressions.

[23:46] He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him. And with his stripes we are healed. Now, now. Look at this text.

[23:59] Let's assume he didn't even know about Jesus. Who could this be referred to? On Acts chapter 8, the Ethiopian eunuch.

[24:09] Yes, yes, yes, yes. He was reading from Isaiah 53. Yes. Go there. Acts chapter 8 verse 30.

[24:21] Acts chapter 8 verse 30. He said, So Philip ran to him and heard him read the prophet Isaiah and said, Do you understand what you are reading? Do you understand what you are reading?

[24:39] Philip, fool of the Holy Ghost. Those days, the guy was sitting in his chariot and he was reading aloud. Listen, it's okay to read aloud. Yes, sir.

[24:49] When you are reading your Bible, practice it and see. Yes, sir. Read aloud. As long as you are not disturbing others. Read aloud. When you are reading, read aloud. Read aloud. Try it. Practice it and see.

[25:00] Make it a practice. You will see what it does to you. What you do that is like you are speaking the word back to yourself. It says, So shall my word be that goeth out of my mouth.

[25:13] It shall accomplish whatever I desire. It's God's word to accomplish. Shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. So, So, So, This gentleman was reading Isaiah chapter 53.

[25:26] Three. And then in Acts chapter 8 verse 30, He, Philip, The angel told Philip, Run, Go to the chariot. In Gaza Strip.

[25:37] So, He went to Gaza Strip. He took him to Gaza Strip. And then he was running by the chariots. He was walking. And he had the man reading. He asked the man, Do you understand what you are reading?

[25:49] And the man said, How can I understand unless there's a Pastor David? What's your blessing in the season?

[26:00] I see my teacher. That's my job. My primary job is not to lay hands on you. My primary job is to help you to navigate the scriptures.

[26:12] We intentionally want to let people come to God for His Word, not on the base of their need. We don't want to have need-centered Christianity.

[26:24] We want to do word-centered Christianity. So, They asked the same Philip. They asked Philip. Philip said, Do you understand what you read?

[26:37] He said, How can I? I said, How can I unless someone guides me? And he asked Philip, Come on, join me. Sit down. Sit down. Come on. Sit down. And Philip sat down. And look at what he was reading.

[26:48] The place in the scripture which he read, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, And as a lamb before he shares his silence, So he opened notice.

[27:02] But look at the next verse. In his humiliation, His justice was taken away. And who will declare his generations? For his life was taken from the earth.

[27:13] Look at what he said. So, The eunuch asked Philip, Who is the prophet talking about? Because the prophet is talking about somebody.

[27:26] I want to know about this person. Can you tell me who the prophet is talking about? Isaiah chapter 53. How come that very day he was reading Isaiah 53?

[27:37] He was reading the only pure gospel in the Old Testament. Isaiah 53. Now let's go back to Isaiah 53. He was wounded for our transgressions.

[27:50] Do you want to look at Romans chapter 4, verse 25, Or Mark chapter 15, verse 15? That's nice to remember. Mark 15, 15. I'm running up now. Mark 15. Who, Mark 15, 15.

[28:01] Or Romans 4, 25. Any of them first. Okay. Romans 4, 25. Who was delivered up because of our offenses, And was raised because of our, So he was delivered up because of our offenses.

[28:17] Right? Bible says he was wounded. Isaiah 53, verse 5 says, He was wounded for our transgression. Did you see that? He was delivered up because of our, Same thing.

[28:31] How does King James say it? King James. He was delivered for our offenses. One of the verses is likely to use the word transgressions. Mark 15, 15. Mark 15, 15.

[28:42] Mark chapter 15. So Pilate wanted to gratify the crowd. Release Barabbas, Wanting to prioritize Barabbas to them. And he delivered Jesus after he had called him to be crucified.

[28:56] He was delivered for us. Because of our, You know why Pilate gave Jesus to them? Because of their wicked hearts. They wanted him dead. So wickedness made Jesus to be given to them.

[29:10] He was delivered. But not just because of our transgressions. For our transgressions. Why do you stay in your sins? When someone has paid for your sins. He was wounded for our transgressions.

[29:23] He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him. With his stripes we are healed. That Peter, Peter calls this scripture. Second, First Peter chapter 2, Verse 25.

[29:35] He said by his stripes. First Peter, Verse 24, Oh sorry. Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree. That we, Having died to sin, Might live for righteousness.

[29:47] By Christ. Peter was quoting from Isaiah. I like this one. This is what the Ethiopian Enoch was reading, Verse 6. All we like sheep. Let's all say that together.

[29:58] All we like sheep. Please say it again. All we like sheep. All we like sheep have gone astray. All we, We have turned everyone to his own way.

[30:13] From the time we are going, No, No, I'll do it my way. No, I'll do it my way. Sheep, Sheep, Gone astray. Sheep, No, No, No, Sheep. No, No, Sheep.

[30:24] We still have the, Sometimes you can be born again and still a stray sheep. I'm sorry. Luke 15, 6 and then Mark 10, 6. It said, And when he, He comes home, He calls together his friends and neighbors, Saying to them, Rejoice with me, For I have found, This is talking about the prodigal son.

[30:42] He's talking about the shepherd who loses one. See, We all are like sheep that have gone astray. We are, I feel somebody is coming home finally. Mark chapter 10, Verse 6.

[30:57] Mark 10, 6. Let's already, All right, Let's go. Hey, I'm sorry, That's not the text. Matthew, Anyway, Maybe this is a prophetic word.

[31:12] Matthew, Matthew 10, Let's all read it. Matthew 10, 6. Matthew 10, 6. He says, Go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

[31:22] Remember, We just read 1 Peter chapter 2, Verse 24. By his stripes we are healed. But look at the next verse. Verse 25. Look at the next verse. for ye were like sheep going astray.

[31:38] Tell somebody, I was like a sheep going astray. Tell another person, you were like a sheep going astray.

[31:53] Isaiah 53 verse 6 says that, All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own ways, and the Lord has laid upon him the iniquity of us all.

[32:05] Verse 7 says, He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth. Hey! You remember Pontius Pellet said, Don't you know how power to live? Talk to me!

[32:16] In fact, the high priest said, Are you not talking to me? He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, yet he opened not his mouth. He opened not his mouth.

[32:27] Because of my time, I can't give you the scriptural verses. Because it should be too much. Because of time. He says that, He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth. He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter.

[32:40] Oh, as a lamb, as a lamb. The lamb of God. And as a sheep before he sheareth is done. So he opened not his mouth. That's what the Ethiopian eunuch was reading. And he said, Can you tell me who was this man?

[32:54] Who was the prophet? I like the way he said, Who was the prophet writing? Meanwhile, when the prophet started writing, he said, They have not believed our report. He said, Who has believed our report?

[33:05] To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? It takes the Holy Spirit to help us to understand these things. Verse 8, In Isaiah chapter 53, verse 8, it says that, He was taken from prison and from judgment.

[33:20] And who shall declare his generations? For he was cut off, out of the land of the living. For the transgression of my people was, for the transgression of my people was, was he stricken.

[33:34] So you can see, he hasn't done anything wrong. But he was stricken, why? For the transgression of the people. This is so beautiful, Isaiah. This is so beautiful.

[33:46] For the transgression of my people was, he stricken. The verse 9 says that, And he made his grave with the wicked. He made his grave with the wicked.

[33:59] English Standard Version. Verse 9. And they made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death. Because those who crucified Jesus planned to bury him with the two transgressors.

[34:12] The wicked one. So really, he died with the wicked ones. But at his death, he lied with the rich, because he was in a rich man's tomb.

[34:25] They buried him in a rich man's tomb. The Bible says that he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death. Because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

[34:42] Verse 10. This is so strong. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him. This, this. See, look. It pleased God to bruise him.

[34:55] Yet, he hasn't done anything wrong. Yet, it pleased the Lord to bruise him. He has put him to grief. If God was behind it. So at one point, just for a sec, I don't want to kill you.

[35:06] I can release you. He said, you don't know what you're talking about. God, and that's why he says, if it's possible, let this cup come. Because God was about to bruise him for our iniquities. Put it back on the screen.

[35:17] It says that, it pleased, that's a strong statement, the first line. If God was, it's like, come. And God, stand here. God has this hammer to hit his head.

[35:30] You know, children, I don't know how many of you know, sometimes you are sleeping, or you are lying, a child can use a pencil to hit your head. Then you are laughing. God bruised him, and God was happy.

[35:47] It pleased the Lord to bruise him. Why? Because that was the justice of God, venting out his anger against sin.

[35:59] And he couldn't, we can't take the anger. Because when God's anger comes on you, you are going to melt him instantly. But he himself came to stand in our place, to absorb the wrath of God.

[36:11] So, God, since Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, First Samuel, Second Samuel, First Kings, Second Kings, First Chronicles, Second Chronicles, Ezra, Nahemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Songs of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Lamentation, Daniel, God, God was waiting.

[36:40] God, I'll leave it because of the time. God couldn't wait until Jesus Christ comes. And on the cross, for once, God can vent out all his holy anger against sin.

[36:57] Because no one could take it. For the first time he has found someone who was a perfect sacrifice. Don't be sympathetic for Jesus' suffering. You have to see him as a perfect sacrifice.

[37:08] Do you know why? When he was on the cross, God himself was happy. Why are you sad? A Christian is not supposed to be sad about the crucifixion.

[37:19] So those who wear morose and sad clothes, they are missing the picture. Easter Friday is the day those who do white for celebration.

[37:31] That's when they should wear white. Because God's justice was satisfied. Yet, it pleased the Lord to bruise.

[37:43] That's a strong statement. It pleased the Lord to bruise him. God takes this huge stick and shim on the cross. And God said, Yeah.

[37:56] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. God said, Yeah. He was afflicted his son. Not because he was wicked, but his righteousness must be satisfied.

[38:11] His holiness must be satisfied. His justice must be satisfied. He took the cross to satisfy the justice of God. That's why Abel says that he is our propitiation.

[38:23] He is our propitiation. When God, it's there. Let me finish verse 10. Stay here. It says that, verse 10 says that, Yet he pleased the Lord to bruise him.

[38:35] He has put him to grief. When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin. Say, say, God said, Isaiah said, God, you will make his soul an offering for sin.

[38:47] This is so deep. This is 750 years before Jesus was physically born. Isaiah spoke about somebody's coming.

[38:57] That's why they couldn't believe his report. That God will make his soul an offering for sin. He shall see his seed. The seed is talking about after he has died on the cross, the impact on all of us.

[39:10] He said, Except a grain of wheat falls to the ground and die. It buys a load. John chapter 12, verse 24. But if it dies, it brings forth much fruit or much grains.

[39:22] Okay? If it dies, I prefer the much grain. It brings forth much grain. Much grain. We become seeds, many seeds. So Isaiah said, God will see his seed. Isaiah, he says that, He shall, He shall see his seed, and he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his son.

[39:39] Verse 11. He shall see the labor of his soul. King James says, He shall see the travail of his soul. You know, when a woman is in labor, ah, ah, ah. Jesus Christ on the cross, he was in travail.

[39:52] In me. In me. God saw the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied. The only thing on earth that could satisfy God, was the suffering of Christ on the cross.

[40:06] That's why after Christ died, you don't need to sacrifice good. Sacrifice at the altar, sacrifice at the altar. It all doesn't satisfy God, apart from what Christ has done.

[40:19] No sacrifice satisfied. That's why they have to stop all the good sacrifices, and the lamb, and the cattle, and everything. Praise the Lord. He says that, He shall see, He shall see the travail of his soul, and be satisfied.

[40:32] By the knowledge of my righteous servant, but justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, that's his ascension now, with the great, and he shall divide the small with the strong, because he shall pour out his soul unto death.

[40:52] And he was numbered with the transgressors, and he bear the sins of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

[41:04] That is our Jesus. Now, listen, he had to be a real human being, in order to fulfill this. Without him being a very human being, there's no way he could have fulfilled this.
