[0:13] Acts chapter 26. This is about Paul when he was telling King Agrippa about his story. They were accusing him that he was teaching wrong things.
[0:24] His enemies wanted him dead. And King Agrippa said, Paul, you are free to speak for yourself. Maybe you shouldn't have said that. Verse 1 says that, King Agrippa said unto Paul, thou art permitted to speak for thyself.
[0:40] Did you see that? Look at verse 24. Verse 24 says, and as he does speak for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, Paul, you are beside yourself.
[0:53] Now he was afraid. When a preacher begins to be genuine about his convictions about God's word, you are likely to shake. Yes.
[1:05] See, people don't know what the preaching can do to them. So they think, oh yeah. Some of you didn't know that today's preaching will affect you. Yes. Someone say, oh, the pastor is coming.
[1:16] Okay, let's go and listen to him. I'm glad you came. Paul, you are free to speak for yourself. And then he began to say, the Jews know my custom. They know my background.
[1:27] I was a Pharisee. I was trained Jew. I was determined to shut down churches. I was determined to shut down churches. And I had permission from Jerusalem, from the highest authority in our land.
[1:42] That's the high priest. I had permission from the high priest to move. And he said, I dragged Sam into prison. He's talking about what he did. This I also did in Jerusalem. And many of the saints, I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priest.
[1:57] And when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them. Yeah. This is what I was doing. And he said, look at the next verse. This is Paul's regimen. And I punished them often in every synagogue and compelled them to blaspheme.
[2:13] And being exceedingly enraged against them. Paul. He was exceedingly enraged against. So those of you, the people who are angry against us, I'm not threatened.
[2:25] You are paper tiger. Being exceedingly enraged against them. I persecuted them even to foreign cities. That's Paul.
[2:37] And he said, once I was on my way to Damascus. Look at the next verse. While thus occupied, I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests. Go on.
[2:49] Go on. At midday, all can I grip along the road as I along the road. I saw a light from heaven brighter than the sun. Yes, the sun is not the brightest. There's something stronger than the sun.
[3:01] Paul said, I saw it. I saw it. The reason why he was misbehaving was he hasn't seen something stronger. He said, I saw a light from heaven.
[3:13] At midday. Midday, the sun is brightest at midday. But I said, at the time the sun was at its brightest in Israel. If you go, the diarrhea is very hot.
[3:25] It can be very hot at midday. He says that when the sun was brightest, I saw another light from heaven that was brighter. And I fell from my house.
[3:37] The next verse. When we all had fallen to the ground, the people who traveled with him to fail. Yeah. Be careful who you call your friend. Yeah. Because when they start falling, you're also going. I heard a voice speaking to me.
[3:50] Saying in the Hebrew language, Saul. Saul. Why did you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the ghost. You think you can succeed. You can succeed to shout the church.
[4:01] You can say all you want on social media. At the end of the day, the impression will be on you. You can shout the church. Especially when God is in it. When God is.
[4:12] Not a government can shout down a church when God is in it. In the times of the apostles, when the church was small, those religious leaders were the most powerful in the land.
[4:24] They couldn't shout down the church. Caesar. The strongest man. The greatest man. Most powerful man in that time. Couldn't shout down the church. He's dead and gone. The church is still spreading. It is difficult to kick against the ghost.
[4:38] Paul. So to cut the long story short. He said when he had all these encounters. Yeah. I said who are you Lord? He said I'm Jesus. We are persecuting.
[4:48] Wow. Jesus showed up. He's the sun who is brighter than the light. The sun. The light who is brighter than the sun. But arise. You see. Jesus told him. But rise and stand on your feet. For I have appeared to you for this purpose.
[5:00] To make you a minister. And. You remember that word. To make you a minister. And a witness of the things. Both the things which you have seen.
[5:12] And what you are yet to see. God has a lot more to show you. Yes. And then I will deliver. Ah. He said I will deliver you from the Jewish people.
[5:23] As well as from the Gentiles. To whom I am sending. I am sending you to people. I have to deliver you from. Wow. Yes. So I am sending you to some people. But as I send you. I have to stand behind.
[5:34] And as they hit you. I will deliver you. I am sending you to people. Who want to kill you. I will send you. And they will not be able to kill you. Yeah. That is. At the day he was. On the day he was being called.
[5:45] That is it. Look at verse 18. And we will get to 19. What am I sending you to do. This is my message now. To open their eyes. In order to turn them from darkness to light.
[5:58] From the power of Satan to God. That they may receive forgiveness of sins. And an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me. That is what I am sending you.
[6:12] You see the five things that we have seen there. Number one. Open their eyes. Number two. Turn them from darkness to light. That means they are already in darkness. Number three. From the power of Satan to God.
[6:26] Satan has power. Addiction. Anyone in addiction under the power of Satan. Number four. That they may receive forgiveness of sins. And number five.
[6:38] Inheritance. You know I spoke to you about forgiveness of sins. It is part of what you get from Jesus. It is not about money. It is not about feelings. It is about forgiveness of sins.
[6:49] When someone tells me I do not believe in God. I ask him. What are you going to do about your sins? Yeah. I do not believe in Jesus. What are you going to do about your sins? You cannot tell me you do not know you have it.
[7:01] You have it. That is why you say you do not believe in God. It is escapism. Yes. Because when people say I do not believe in God. It is excuse them. It is okay. I am not accountable to anybody. But they know it is true. Most people are able to live successfully as atheists.
[7:15] But they don't die as one. Most of them are on their dead bed. Now they are thinking. Now I am about to go and face this thing. Where am I going? You can live as an atheist. But when it is time to die.
[7:25] You face the fact. Oh yes. And most people don't live to tell the story that this thing is real. Five points here.
[7:35] Everybody's eyes are not open. Two. Everybody's in darkness. Three. Everybody's under the power of Satan. Four. Everybody's sins are not forgiven. Five. Everybody does not have inheritance.
[7:48] So that is what church. The gospel does for people. When you come to church. It is not a group of people you are joining. You are coming to receive openness of eyes. How many of you when you became born again?
[7:59] Now when we teach this thing. You realize how stupid was I? How stupid was I? Because you were blind. So when people are laughing at you for going to church. You find them they are funny.
[8:10] They don't know what they are doing. That's why Stephen said. Father forgive them. For they don't know what they are doing. They don't know. Anybody who is not in Christ. You are in darkness.
[8:21] I'm telling you. Listen. Nobody who doesn't have Christ has peace. Nobody. Doesn't matter how much money they have. Doesn't matter how many friends they have. Doesn't matter how much exposure they have.
[8:34] Doesn't matter their level of education. If you don't have Christ. You don't have peace. I put it to you. Prove me wrong. Tell me. I don't know what I am talking about. You don't have peace. Sometimes even the lockdown.
[8:44] You thought you would never survive. You will. When you are sick. You think I'm about to die. I'm about to die. I'm about to die. When things go wrong. You. Your life. You are living in fear. That's why you are trying different things.
[8:56] To cope. You are not happy. You are in a dark place. If you don't have Jesus. You are. I'm talking to you. You know. You know I'm talking. I told you.
[9:07] I told you God was trying to help you. That's why he got you to come here. You are in a dark place. But he said I'm sending you. To bring them from darkness. To light.
[9:18] I'm sending you. To turn them from the power of Satan. To God. To God. To God. To God. To God. To God. To God.
[9:30] To God. That they may receive forgiveness of sin. Listen. Forgiveness of sin is the sweetest thing you can ever enjoy in life. I'm telling you. When your sins are forgiven.
[9:40] It is so. It feels so free. It feels so free. You have peace when you sleep. You. I'm telling you.
[9:52] Brothers and sisters. Forgiveness of sin. And it is only God who can forgive sins. Only God. Only God. And how is he going to forgive sins?
[10:03] Because God is a righteous God. When you do something wrong. He has to punish you. How is he going to? That's why he has to punish Jesus for you. And I.
[10:13] So that when I come into. That's why I said. Anyone who believes in Christ. Will receive remission of sins. That's why Christ died. He didn't die as a martyr. He died as a substitute.
[10:27] That's the difference. A martyr is someone who gets executed for their beliefs. Their religious beliefs. They get executed. But a substitute is someone who died in another one's place.
[10:38] So when you read the Bible. The Bible says that Christ died for our sins. Not for his sins. He died because of our sins. Not for his sins. That's why on the cross. When they were killing himself.
[10:48] Father forgive them. For they don't know why. Because I'm dying for the people who killed me. I'm dying for their sins. Dying for them. It is your sins that kept him on the cross. My sins that kept him on the cross.
[11:00] It is not the nails. But my sins. And your sins. Because if he had not died. How are we going to get forgiveness on sins? And why would you die in your sins? That's the worst thing that can ever happen to you.
[11:12] Never attempt to die in your sins. Because you end up in hell. So you realize people don't go to hell. Because they are bad people.
[11:23] But people go to hell. Because they don't embrace the forgiveness of sins. That Jesus offers. Yeah. There is good news for the bad. For the good. For the ugly. For anybody.
[11:35] The beauty and the beast. Forgiveness of sins. He said God raised him. And he said he raised the saints. As to testify. That anyone who will believe in him.
[11:46] Will receive remission of sins. Paul. Go and open their eyes. I'm sending you to open their eyes. To turn them from darkness into light.
[11:59] Oh. It feels so nice when you come into light. Oh yeah. When you are in the light. It feels so good. Right now. The lights. All the lights go off right now. People will be hurting themselves.
[12:11] You bump into somebody. It's not nice. If you eat in the dark. When you go to a restaurant. It's very dark. Don't buy it. If you go to the kitchen. They tell you that the chef cooks only in darkness.
[12:23] You end up eating tarantula. Tarantula. In your soup. Yes. Darkness.
[12:33] Don't do business in the dark. Why will you sign a document in the dark? There are people here. I'm saying this with humility of heart.
[12:46] I know you are in the dark. In a dark place. But God cares about you. I see somebody coming out from the dark place. Open their eyes.
[12:58] Turn them from darkness to light. From the power of Satan to God. So that they might receive forgiveness of sins. And not just that. Inheritance.
[13:09] Among all those who are sanctified. Through faith in me. Inheritance. Then verse 90 says. Therefore can I give her. I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. By testify.
[13:20] See the word there. That word. That word. That word. That word. That word. Look at verse 20. Look at verse 20. But declare first to them in the Marcos and Jerusalem. Throughout all the regions of Judea. Then to the Gentiles. That they should.
[13:32] Repent. You remember I mentioned that word. They should repent. The only way you can access. The openness of eyes. Moving. Translating. From darkness.
[13:43] To light. From the power of Satan. To God. To receive forgiveness of sins. And inheritance. Among the people of God. The only way you can access it. Is just one.
[13:54] Repent. That. It said. That they should repent. And turn to God. And do works. When you say you have repented. Prove it by your works.
[14:05] Repentance. Repentance means. Stop. Doing. It. I think I'm preaching. You know. Many.
[14:17] Many people. Don't believe in the church anymore. Because the church is saturated. With fake people. Who claim they are repentant. But they don't have results. Of repentance. Yeah. Some of you are singing in a choir.
[14:30] But it's no fruit of repentance. You are always coming to church. Shout. Yeah. Yeah. Dancing. You like the fun of church. But not the Christ of church. You haven't changed.
[14:42] You haven't repented. If you have repented. He says that. That they should bring forth. That they should repent. Turn to God. And do works. Befitting repentance. Befitting.
[14:53] When people look at you. Your people you live with. Now can tell that you are a changed man. The power of the gospel. It changes lives. It changes. When you come into contact with the gospel.
[15:04] It will change your life. Oh yes. Repentance. That's how you access. When you repent. Your fruits will show you are repented. And that's how you step into the light.
[15:17] You step into openness of your eyes. You step into. Away from the power of the devil. Or from Satan. Unto God. You step into forgiveness of sins. And you step into inheritance.
