[0:12] Acts chapter 10 from verse 1. There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian Band.

[0:24] A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people and prayed to God always.

[0:38] He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming into him and saying unto him, Cornelius! And when he looked on him, he was afraid and said, What is it, Lord?

[0:55] And he said unto him, Their prayers and thine alms have come up for a memorial before God. And now send men to Joppa and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter.

[1:09] He lodgeth with one Simon Atena, whose house is by the seaside. He shall tell thee what thou ought to do. And when the angel which spoke to Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually.

[1:33] And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa. And on the morrow, as they went on their journey and drew near unto the city, Peter went up upon the rooftop or the housetop to pray about the sixth hour.

[1:50] And he became very hungry and would have eaten. But while they made ready, he fell into a trance. And saw heaven opened and a setting vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners and led down to the earth.

[2:09] Wherein were all manner of four-footed beasts of the earth and wild beasts and creeping things and fowls of the air. And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter, kill and eat.

[2:20] But Peter said, Not so, Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God has cleansed, that call not thou common.

[2:38] This was done thrice, and the vessel was received up again into heaven. Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision, which he had seen, should mean, Behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house and stood before the gate.

[3:02] And called and asked whether Simon, which was called Peter, were lodged there. While Peter taught on this vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

[3:15] Verse 20, Arise therefore and get thee down and go with them, doubting nothing, for I have sent them. Here ends the reading of God's holy word.

[3:27] Father, we thank you so much for the privilege of getting into your word on a Sunday, beautiful Sunday morning like this. We pray, let the heavens be open upon us and grant us access into yourself.

[3:41] Access which man cannot give, but which the Holy Spirit can give. Help us and circumcise our hearts and open our ears. Sanctify our ears so we can clearly hear your voice and obey.

[3:56] We receive the grace to obey as we hear your word. We thank you for miracles, for salvation, for healings, for deliverance, for revelations and insights as your word is taught.

[4:08] O Lord, may the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord. In Jesus' name, amen. Please be seated.

[4:19] Amen. Amen. Amen. The end of Acts chapter 9 tells us about Peter. The beginning of Acts chapter 9 tells us about Shaul. So, we see Saul in Acts chapter 9, God about to use him for something great.

[4:37] But that was, the appearance of Saul was not the automatic end of Peter's ministry. Saul, as we saw in Galatians chapter 2, 8 and 9, clearly he was the apostle called to the Gentiles.

[4:57] So, he says that when they saw that, he said, all right, for he who works effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised. Now, I told you when you come across the word circumcised, it's talking about the Jews, okay.

[5:11] To the circumcised, also what effectively in me was the Gentiles. All right. So, the verse 9 says that. And when they saw, they perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship that we should go to the Gentiles.

[5:32] And they, to the circumcised. So, clearly you can tell there are some who were particularly called to a group of people. To a particular group of people.

[5:42] Every ministry has, first of all, a message. And then the message is assigned to a people. So, you see here, James and Cephas, Peter.

[5:58] So, James, Cephas, and John. Their ministry was particularly assigned, even though they were not only limited to the Jews.

[6:09] Because the gospel is not a Jewish gospel. However, Romans chapter 1 verse 6, he said to the Jew first. He said to the Jew first. So, Paul was particularly assigned to the Gentiles.

[6:22] And we saw the arrival of Paul into the church in Acts chapter 9. You would have thought that since now it's time for the Word of God to go to the Gentiles.

[6:33] That should have been the fizzling away or disappearance of Peter. But Acts chapter 9 comes with Saul. Then Peter features prominently in Acts chapter 9.

[6:47] He raised somebody from the dead. He told Ananias, Jesus heals you. And he was still preaching in those territories. So, Acts chapter 9, even though it starts with the call of Saul, it ends with the continuation of the work of, or the ministry of Peter.

[7:06] Why? And you see how he ended. The last verse in Acts chapter 9, it tells us in the verse 43, so it was that he stayed many days in Joppa with Simon Atena or Atena.

[7:22] So, he called Simon, he was staying with another person called, another guy called Simon. And what's the significance? This is talking about Peter. The chapter starts with Saul and finishes with Peter.

[7:34] Then the next chapter starts with Peter. But the chapter 10 was now the time for the Gentiles. The actual mission to the Gentiles. Does that mean Gentiles had not received the message earlier on?

[7:46] The Ethiopian eunuch in Acts chapter 8, he had received. God interrupted the work by Philip in Samaria and sent him to Gaza to go and meet an Ethiopian eunuch.

[8:02] Because he was a Gentile. But he sent him to go and meet him because there was a work to be done. A Jewish man would not naturally go, especially once he's a very committed Jew and a godly Jew.

[8:17] Why would he go to look for a Gentile? So, God himself had to interfere. And I'll show you something as we go on in the text. So, the Atena, in those days, even though the Atena was a Jew, Atena is someone who makes tents.

[8:34] And he had to be, they work with skins. And according to the Jewish law or rituals, you are not supposed to go near a dead body.

[8:46] And so, for you to be a Atena, you must be someone who works with dead bodies of carcasses of animals. And so, every Atena was looked down on the Jews as the very unclean people.

[9:01] No, no, no. These guys. So, if you want to be a very serious Jew and well, like Paul said, he was concerning the law of a Pharisee. Now, in Numbers chapter 19 verse 13, he says that, Whoever touches the body of anyone who has died and does not purify himself defiles the tabernacle of the Lord.

[9:23] That person shall be cut off from Israel. He shall be unclean because the water of purification was not sprinkled on him. And his uncleanness still is still on him.

[9:36] If you go into the Gentiles, you are classified unclean. And if you touch dead things, you are unclean. And Peter, the apostle, went to lodge in the house of Atena.

[9:51] It's the beginning of the limitations being removed. Because you will not go and settle in Atena's house. Because, as I said, they are actually considered people who have some uncleanness in their house.

[10:05] In themselves and also in their house. So, then, this opens up chapter 10. So, remember where Peter was lodging. And in chapter 10, there was a certain man in Caesarea.

[10:17] You remember we spoke about Caesarea where Philip the evangelist eventually settled. And I told you about Caesarea. In fact, when they dropped Paul through the window, they took him through Caesarea so they could send him to Tarsus.

[10:34] So, Caesarea was a very important place. It's like a hub that opens you up between Judea and the rest of the Roman world. And so, there was a certain man in Caesarea, Cornelius.

[10:49] Cornelius, a centurion. A centurion was somebody, an army officer in the Roman army who was responsible for a group of soldiers.

[11:03] Usually about 80. And the allegion is made up of about 60 centuries. And then a centurion is over a century. So, you oversee a group of soldiers and you are responsible for them.

[11:18] They take orders from you. You are the top of that group of, usually it's about, even though it's supposed to be 100, usually it's about 80. And for you to be a centurion, you must have some qualifications.

[11:29] You must be a man of a very strong character. Because to lead that, the army, you must not wait for problem. You face problem when it's coming.

[11:40] You don't run away and send others. So, you must be a man with a very strong character. And a reliable person. Because you don't want a person who is not reliable to be a centurion.

[11:52] Because in the time of when the enemy show up, he will run away. But centurions have this tough character. And they can be very good. And very resolute.

[12:03] You can't intimidate them. And so, we hear another centurion who came to Jesus. In Matthew chapter 8. And he said, my servant is lying at home. Sick. Can you please heal him?

[12:15] And Jesus said, I'll come to you. I said, no, no, you don't have to come. I understand authority. I'm a man under authority. I said this one, go and go. So, just speak the word. And Jesus was very impressed.

[12:26] And he says, I have not even seen faith in Israel like this. And he told the man, verse 14, verse 13. Jesus said, go your way. And as you have believed. So, let it be unto you. I mean, centurions are people who have a strong character.

[12:39] Now, this is another centurion in Acts chapter 10. But his name was Cornelius. Cornelius was a centurion and an Italian. Very gentle. It's there in your Bible.

[12:52] It's of the band, non-musical team. This band is a cohort. So, I think English Standard Version will render it differently.

[13:02] Let's look at the English Standard Version. As he said, there was a man named Cornelius. A surgeon of what was known as the Italian cohort. The Bible says in verse 2, he was a devout man.

[13:16] Devout man. Remember Acts chapter 8, verse 2. When Stephen was executed. It was devout men. And I explained that devout men may not necessarily be Jews. They are Jews who are devout men.

[13:27] Like Cornelius. Sorry. Like Ananias. In Acts chapter 22, verse 12. Ananias was a devout and highly respected. Devout men were. They were not troublesome.

[13:38] Very good people. Highly respected. So, a certain Ananias. A devout man. And so, you could tell that this man was very devout. Very good character.

[13:50] Good behavior. Devout there. They are devoted to religious things. They are devoted. Ananias was born again. Was a Christian and devout. Cornelius was not a Christian.

[14:02] Had not met Jesus. But still devout. When they are devout, they are committed just like some of us. Your mom. Your grandma. Your dad. Some of us come from backgrounds where your dad was so devout.

[14:15] Alright. So, this is a devout man. And see, the Bible says that. A devout man. And one who feared God with all his house. This is beautiful.

[14:26] Stimular to what some of us call, I'm from a Christian home. Devout. He is a devout. And he feared God with all his house. Most of us come from that kind of background.

[14:38] Mom was very devout. Dad was very devout. Brothers and sisters are devout. It is kind of a very good background. But it doesn't guarantee salvation. So, with all his house.

[14:52] Which gave. And it is not just his house. He gave much alms. He was so generous. Unless he doesn't see someone in need. He gave much alms.

[15:03] And he was devout. Which gave much alms to the people. Anybody in need. Cornelius was quick to help. And he didn't just give much alms.

[15:16] But he prayed to God always. This is very interesting. Someone who is a Gentile. Someone who is not born again. Praying to God always. What kind of prayer is that?

[15:27] To be honest. I've always believed that God doesn't listen to the prayer of sinners. Because actually it's said in the Bible. God doesn't hear sinners. For the man whose eyes was blind. In John chapter 5. He told the Pharisees.

[15:39] We know that God does not hear the prayer of sinners. And it's in Psalms. The Bible says in the Psalms. The prayer of the unrighteous. Of the wicked. Is an abomination to God.

[15:50] But this man was. Wicked there usually. Means someone who doesn't have a relationship to God. Or who does his own beliefs. Independently of God. This man was devout. And even though a Gentile. The Bible said.

[16:01] He prayed always to God. Was God listening? Was God listening? Would God answer the prayer of someone who is not born again? Oh yes.

[16:14] He will answer the prayer of someone who is. Some of you to be honest. God answered your prayer. When you went and God drank. How many of you remember when you were unbeaten?

[16:26] In fact. You made a big mistake at work. And you were about to lose your job. And you were not born. You were a very bad person. And you prayed. God please. And you were surprised. You looked at the prayer God answered.

[16:37] God. Does that mean God really answered the prayer? I don't know. But. Sometimes. I have a feeling.

[16:48] Like. In Cornelius case. In the verse 43. Verse 43. It says that. To him. All the prophets witnessed that. Through his name.

[16:59] Whoever believes in him. Will receive remission. Of sins. And that was Cornelius destiny. So. It kind of. Him being pointed to this.

[17:09] He was on his way here. He made God consider him. Because the angel. He didn't come to answer. We don't know what kind of prayers. He was praying. But the angel.

[17:20] The angel came for his salvation. And the angel says. The prayers. Not one prayer. Prayers. You know. There's a way prayer stays before God. Oh yes. That's why you can't pray.

[17:31] One day and stop. Prayer stays before God. I think. In Psalm 141. Verse 2. The Bible talks about. Let my prayer be set before you. As incense.

[17:42] The lifting up of my hands. As the evening sacrifice. Let my prayers. Set before you. As what? Incense. It stays. It lingers before you. In Revelation.

[17:53] Chapter 5. Verse 8. It says that. In heaven. Incense were offered by angels. With the prayer. Of the saints. And it says that.

[18:04] Towards the end. It says that. And golden bowls. Full of incense. Which are the prayers. Of the saints. Look at chapter 8. Verse 3. Revelation chapter 8. Verse 3.

[18:15] And verse 4. Then another angel. Having a golden censer. Came and stood at the altar. He was giving much incense. That he should offer it. With what? The prayers.

[18:25] Of the saints. Upon the golden altar. Which was before the throne. Verse 4. And the smoke. Of the incense. Which. With the prayers.

[18:36] Of the saints. Ascent. Wow. May that be your story. You know. I spoke to you about fasting. Let me go ahead of myself.

[18:47] And show you something. Acts chapter 10. Verse 29. And verse 30. Acts chapter 10. Verse 29. Therefore. I came without objection. That's Peter talking. As soon as I was.

[18:58] Ascent for. I asked them. For what reason. Have you called me? Then the verse 30. Says that. Cornelius said. Four days ago. I was. Shall we all read it?

[19:09] Let's go. From four days ago. Let's go. Four days ago. I was fasting. One more time. That sentence. Let's go. Four days ago. I was fasting. I was fasting.

[19:20] For the last time. Four days ago. I was fasting. The angel appeared to Cornelius. Okay. Look at the next. It was. Okay. It says that.

[19:30] And at the ninth hour. Which is 3 p.m. I prayed in my house. And behold. A man stood before me. In bright clothing. And what did he say? And he said.

[19:40] Cornelius. You're fasting. You're fasting. Okay. Maybe he fasted. He was fasting. But he said. Your prayers have been heard.

[19:53] And your arms. Have remembered. And your fasting. Where is the fasting? Fasting does not replace prayer.

[20:04] And it's not fasting God hears. The guy was fasting. But it was his prayer that stayed before God. So this is you know fasting.

[20:20] God doesn't answer fasting. God answers prayer. So then why should we fast? Fasting helped.

[20:31] He fasted. Cornelius fasted. Did you see? He was. Let me just do some allegorization. Let me read into the text. I'm just doing my own allegorization.

[20:43] Or read into the text. It's not necessarily so. But I'm just. Cornelius was fasting and praying. I'm sure. The Bible says that. Your prayers have come before God.

[20:54] For a memory. Verse 3. All right. So Cornelius. Cornelius. Actually the term is. Cornelius. Verse 4. Sorry. Was afraid. He said. Your prayers. And your arms.

[21:06] Have come before God. For a memorial. It wasn't the fasting. Maybe he's been praying a long time. Every time he's praying. But this is. He decided to fast. And then the angel came.

[21:19] So. There's a place for fasting. Even though. It's not a fasting. God answers. Fasting helps you. To. Put everything. It's like. You are separating yourself.

[21:30] Dedicated. A fasting. Fasting is an expression. Of intense devotion. Daniel said. I afflicted my soul. With fastings. Nehemiah. And Ezra.

[21:41] Nehemiah said. I fasted. And I found favor. Before they came. Ezra said. Get people to fast for me. This matter. Requires intense devotion. But when the apostles.

[21:53] Wanted the church to spread. They didn't say. We'll give ourselves to fasting. In Acts chapter 6. Verse 3. It says that. We will continually give ourselves. To prayer. And the ministry of the word.

[22:05] So that is the key thing. But when you. When you add fasting. You are actually pushing the boundaries. You are devoting yourself. You are. You are. Separating yourself.

[22:15] Unto God. In a way. That has a way of. Clearing the clouds. Daniel fasted. And an angel was sent from heaven. And then.

[22:26] The angel was hijacked. By a demon. A principality. Can you imagine? Guess what? If Daniel had stopped the fasting. The angel said.

[22:37] From the first day. You started fasting. Your prayer. Ah. Do not be afraid. Daniel. From the first day. Thank God for today. Being the first day. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. The first day.

[22:49] That you set your heart. To understand. And to humble yourself. That's another phrase for fasting. To humble yourself. Before you go. Your ways were heard. Not your fasting was seen.

[23:00] Your ways were heard. Don't fast without talking to God. Your ways were heard. And I have come down. Because of your ways. Not because of your fasting. I have come down.

[23:12] Because of your ways. And he says that. I was hijacked. By the prince of the kingdom of Asia. Withstood me. 21 days. He withstood me.

[23:22] He blocked me. These are spiritual transactions. He said. The prince of Persia. And so. If you are here. You are fasting. The prince of UK. The prince of London.

[23:39] The prince. The principality. Of your family. Assigned to monitor barrages. Yes. Oh yes. Satan has.

[23:50] He also has regiments. So he said. The prince of Persia. Because he was in Persia. Praying for the hand of God. So. The prince of Persia. Restood me for 21 days.

[24:01] And behold. A higher angel. Michael. One of the archangels. The bigger one. Senior one. Had to step in. Came to help me. For I have been left alone.

[24:12] Three. There. With the. The kings of Persia. I have been left alone. Because there was no help. The people were. Those principalities. Were heavyweight. And so. An archangel.

[24:23] A chief angel. Michael. Had to come. And relieve me. Yes. That's why he says. From the very first day. And that was on the 21st day. Of his fasting. Daniel.

[24:34] It was on the 21st day. Of his fasting. That an angel. Came and said. From the first day. Of your fasting. Can you imagine? So. Can you imagine? If he had stopped. The second day. If he had stopped.

[24:45] The third day. If he had stopped. The fourth day. He kept pushing. And his prayer was coming. Mounting up before God. As a memorial. There are things.

[24:56] That are kept. In the archives of heaven. As a memorial. Oh yes. Didn't Jesus say. About the woman. In Mark. Chapter 14. Who broke the alabaster box.

[25:07] I think verse 9 or so. And Jesus said. Wherever the gospel is preached. This woman. What she has done. To go into account. For a memorial. For a memorial. There are some things. That stay before God.

[25:18] For a memorial. I pray that may you not miss. Those opportunities too. He says. Your arms. And he said unto him. Thy prayers. And thy arms. Are come up.

[25:30] For a memorial. Before God. Let me just. Digress. And say this. In Matthew. Chapter 26. Verse 13.

[25:41] That's what I just spoke about. The woman. Who broke the alabaster box. Jesus said. What this woman has done. Will also be. Told. As a memorial. To her.

[25:52] And you remember. Hebrews chapter 6. Verse 10. It says. God is not unrighteous. To forget. The labor of love. Which you have shown. Towards his name. In that he minister. It stays before God.

[26:03] For a memorial. But what I found interesting. Is in Genesis chapter 4. There was somebody. Who prayed. And God disregarded. His prayer. The first son of Adam.

[26:15] God disregarded. His prayer. Why is he giving regard. To Cornelius prayer. Cornelius is a Gentile. Every Jew. Know that God. Let me tell you.

[26:26] About how Jews. Saw Gentiles. In the. In the old testament times. There were only two races. What are the races? Jews and what? Gentiles. Jews and Gentiles. Were the only two races.

[26:38] In the old testament. And Jews. Looked down. On Gentiles. So heavily. That. A Jew. In fact. Those who are Pharisees.

[26:48] They have. Their gowns. Like the word. The choir. It says something. And sometimes. They have to tie. The edges of the gown. So just in case. They are in public. Or they are. Climbing. Stead. Their gown. Doesn't end up. Touching on.

[26:59] A Gentile. And they'll be. They'll be deemed. Unclean. You are not supposed. To even interact. Let alone. You are not supposed. To go into a Gentile's house. Now it wasn't.

[27:11] Necessarily. Part of the law. But by the time. In the new testament. They have added. So much to the law. You don't even have to. Do anything. Stay very far. From Gentile. Completely. So in the.

[27:22] In the. In the. In the synagogue. Or in the temple. There was a line. A wall of partition. According to Ephesians chapter. To verse 14 and 15. Jesus Christ himself.

[27:32] Is a piece. Who has broken down. The middle wall. Jews have several walls. Ceremonial walls. Dietary walls. Relational walls.

[27:43] Natural walls. National walls. Marital walls. So Jews and Gentiles. There's a wall. When you see a Jew. And so what's the usefulness. Of a Gentile. So long as a Jew is concerned. A Gentile is supposed to help.

[27:55] Fuel the fires of hell. Every Gentile. Like some religions say. Infidels. Infidels are not worth living. Every Gentile is there.

[28:07] It's purposely. To like. A fuel. For the fires of hell. So Jews didn't have anything to do. Let alone for a Jewish.

[28:18] Someone who has now become more serious. And as follows the Jewish Messiah. Who is now closer to God. To go to a Gentile's home. No. That couldn't happen. And so.

[28:30] Now. Having understood that. Look at the text again. It says that. So. An angel comes to Cornelius house. Isn't it interesting? Verse 4.

[28:41] And when he looked. He saw in a vision. Now you see. When you look at. Look at the verse 31. Because this story is told twice. First set. Not even twice.

[28:51] Three times. This one story. Is repeated. Three times. In two chapters. Back to back. That tells you how important it is. He said. And Cornelius said. Four days ago. I was fasting.

[29:02] Until this hour. And in the ninth hour. I prayed in my house. And behold. A man stood before me. In shining clothes. That's the angel. Appeared to him. Jews don't even go to Gentiles house.

[29:12] What is an angel doing in Gentiles house? The game is changing. You know. Times are changing. The people you used to look down on. You have to be careful. God has accepted them.

[29:26] And nobody can put. A barrier. A wall. On anyone. When it comes to salvation. You cannot choose who can be saved.

[29:37] And who cannot be saved. It's not within human realm. That's why. When it was time for God to go to Gentiles homes. He didn't consult Peter. Isn't it interesting.

[29:47] That when it was time to get to the Gentiles. The spirits and the angels. Have to get involved. In Acts chapter 8. Verse 26. An angel had to instruct.

[29:58] Philip. To go. Into the desert. Because he wanted him to go and meet. An Ethiopian eunuch. And then in Acts chapter 10. An angel had to come to Cornelius. And say send somebody to go on Copita.

[30:10] And then in Acts chapter 8. So you see. Angels got involved. When it was time to go to Gentiles. Angels had to actively get involved. But it took the spirit to instruct.

[30:22] It took the spirit to instruct. So in Acts chapter 10. Verse 19. You will see. Peter. Was told by the Holy Spirit. Go down and meet them. And go with them. Verse 20. When he was thinking about this.

[30:33] Then the Holy. Verse 19. I think we should go to verse 19. It's very important. While Peter taught about these things. The spirit. Who? The spirit. In Acts chapter 8.

[30:44] Verse 29. It says that. The spirit said to Philip. Go. Now you go into the Gentiles. The Ethiopian eunuchs. Chariots. So you see.

[30:54] When you go to the Gentiles. To come in. God. Because Jews won't do it. It wasn't natural for a Jew. To go to a Gentile. He won't do that crossover. There's no crossover appeal. There's no crossover appeal.

[31:07] Amen. Amen. So. Jews will not do it. So the Holy Spirit. God himself. Has to supervise. What was happening. In the same way.

[31:19] We see. In the case of Cornelius. An angel was sent from God. To go to Cornelius house. And tell Cornelius. Your prayers. And your arms. Have come before God. For a memorial. Therefore. Send to Joppa.

[31:31] Now. Send men to Joppa. And. Send for Simon. Whose surname is Peter. Because there are two Simons there. There's a particular Simons. Not everybody. Send for.

[31:42] Simon. Whose name. His surname is Peter. Angels told. The centurion. Send for him. Didn't you see it in Acts chapter 9. We just finished Acts chapter 9.

[31:54] Verse 10. Bible says that God came to Ananias. He says that. And there was a disciple. And he said to him. In a vision. Say vision. Vision. Whilst he was telling Ananias in a vision.

[32:06] Look at what he told him. In verse 12. He said. That guy caught all. In a vision. He has seen a man coming. God. Ananias. So the vision was not only one sided. Saul saw a vision.

[32:17] Ananias saw a vision. An angel comes. To Cornelius. And gives him a vision. And the angel gives him an instruction. And tells him.

[32:27] Send for Peter. How will Peter come? That's not your problem. That's none of your business. Send for. Okay pastor. So if God has shown me. That that's going to be my wife. Why?

[32:38] I have to also be obedient and go. Yeah. Be obedient and go. I'm not talking about you. That's why I said you were right. But the one. The one you said God has sent you. To go and work on.

[32:48] God will also work there. If God is not working there. Maybe you have to go and listen again. And see again. Keep seeing. Keep seeing. If you see the same person. Go and check.

[32:59] Have you seen it? He has to say. Okay. Go back. Go back. Go back. Go back. So he said. Send for Peter. And. Let's look at the text again.

[33:11] Is somebody learning something? Oh this. This is nice. And. Now. Send men to Joppa. And Simon. Verse 6 is that. He lodged. He lodged with one Simon.

[33:22] Aetana. Whose house. Is by the seaside. Now. That's the seaside house. That's cool man. He shall. He shall send. He shall tell thee what you ought to hear.

[33:35] There are things you have to hear. Oh yes. That's why. Who you hear from matters. Peter went there. And he just spoke about Jesus. Paul met Jesus.

[33:48] And the Bible said. In the synagogue. He disputed with them. Every day. About Jesus. And there will be. A high rate of conversion. Through that. Check the scriptures.

[33:58] The highest rate of conversions. Were happening. Through us. They were teaching the people. And preaching. The first day. The day of ventricles. It wasn't the tongues. They were speaking. That touched. Changed the people. It was.

[34:09] The preaching of Christ. The kind of message. You preach also matters. The kind of message. Until it's Christ centered. Is not salvific. Only Christ centered message.

[34:22] Carries. Salvific. Or saving virtues. So it's very important. He said. Go. Why didn't the angel tell him? Because angels don't have what it takes.

[34:32] To preach the gospel. Because. This is good. Apostle. Gospel preaching. Is not just words. Gospel preaching. Is not just words. If it was words.

[34:43] Angel could have written it. Or maybe I had given it to him. Angel could have told him the words. But gospel preaching. Is flow of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit does not flow. Through angels.

[34:54] He flows through vessels. That's why I taught you. We are vessels. To carry God. To contain God. So there cannot be salvation. Without the vessels. Through whom.

[35:05] The Holy Spirit to pass. He said. Send to Joppa. For Peter. And he will come. Verse 6. He sent for him. And he will tell you.

[35:16] What you must do. There are things. Can you imagine. You have been praying and praying. Arming and arming. Giving arms and giving arms. And it has come before God. To go for a memorial.

[35:27] But there is something you must do. Which you haven't done. There is one more thing. Then the man come to Jesus. He says that. What must I do to be saved? Jesus said. What does the Lord say? Matthew chapter 19.

[35:38] And Luke chapter 18. It is in both places. From verse 20. Somewhere there. He said. He came to Jesus. Good master. Good Lord. What must I do to be saved? A young ruler.

[35:48] Rich young ruler. What must I do to be saved? Jesus said that. What does the Lord say? Obey your. And he made reference to. Honor your mother and father. Yes. Every. Honoring mother and father.

[36:00] Is an essential aspect. Of God's demands on humanity. Because every time. The law is referred to. That thing appears. More than even fornication. Oh that shall not fornicate.

[36:11] That's what I mean. Yeah. He said. Honor. Your father and father. Anyway. So Jesus said. Do it. And the guy said. I've been doing this from my youth.

[36:22] And Jesus said. Yet thou lacketh one thing. Thou lacketh one thing. He said. Send to Joppa for Peter. He has come to tell you what you must do. There is something you must do.

[36:33] In spite of all you have been doing. Which are good anyway. What you have been doing. There are good things anyway. Your fasting is. Good. Your arms giving is.

[36:45] Good. Your sin showing is. Your praying is. It's good. But there is one thing you have to do. There is something you have to do. There is one key that can unlock your destiny.

[36:59] And most of the time. It's in the mouth of an agent. Filled with the Holy Ghost. That's why you have to value listening to preaching. Preaching.

[37:10] That will communicate some things to you. Preaching means something must be communicated. And somebody must hear something. One of the things that I always pray to do that.

[37:22] You know it doesn't come. Let me use the word spiritually. Because I'm fasting and praying. I know so much things. No. Studies play a major role for every effective pastoring.

[37:35] He asked them. He said. I am he who you seek. For what reason have you come? And then they told him their story. Because it's good. Cornelius told them. So when they told him their story.

[37:46] A Jew inviting Gentiles to spend the night in his house. That's. Peter started changing. Peter started changing. He made them spend the night. And the next day they set out.

[37:57] And then they went. When they got there. Cornelius saw him. And then fell at his feet. He said. Get up. I'm also a man. Sometimes. It's very easy to be a powerful. Or someone God is using.

[38:09] And begin to receive. Certain levels of. Treatments. If you are not careful. God would not be happy with you. No man of God is supposed to. Be worshipped.

[38:20] And no man. Sometimes the way you even. Tell. You shouldn't carry yourself. Like you are the one. Peter. Peter said. I'm also a man. I am also a man.

[38:32] Peter said. Stand up. Me myself. I'm also a man. May God help us. But I think I've gone too far. Into the time.

[38:44] So. In a nutshell. Fasting will open your heavens. That's all I'm doing. Did you understand what I'm saying?

[38:55] Fasting. Will open your heavens. When you fast. It opens your heavens. Your destiny helpers. Will be sent your way. Visions will come. So.

[39:06] This June. And beyond. A lot of people are going to receive. Heavenly. Directions. Divine. Guidance. Oh yeah. I'm talking about you. The long. Awaited.

[39:16] Divine. Direction. And. The one thing. That is left for you to do. To settle this matter. God is going to guide you. God is going to lead you into it. So shall it be.

[39:26] In the name of Jesus. Amen. Did you receive something? Amen. Let's pray. Father. We thank you for your word. The entrance of your word.

[39:37] Gives light. And. Understanding to the simple. As we have heard your word. Help us to walk. With you. In the light of your word. Let us be doers. You said.

[39:47] Peter will come. And tell us. What to do. When your word comes. It comes to tell us. What to do. Help us to be doers. And not only hearers. We thank you. In Jesus name. Amen.
