Your Prayers Matter

[0:13] ! Acts 10, 4. It said, Your prayers and your arms have come up for a memorial before God.

[0:28] Your prayers and your arms have come up for a memorial before God. One of the main reasons, and the core reasons, and the practical reasons, and the most central, essential reasons why we pray, is because God answers prayers.

[1:07] That's why we pray. So those of you who have been praying, it means your answers are on their way. Amen! Amen! There's something I just want to draw to your attention this evening, that yesterday's prayers have not been forgotten.

[1:33] When you pray, it stays in an archive. So Cornelius was told, your prayer have come, and your arms have come before God for a memorial.

[1:50] That means, all the prayers you have been praying are accumulating. No one prayer by a believer in faith goes unnoticed.

[2:04] And sometimes, what happens is that, God gathers the prayers, and then one day, all the prayers, if you say one day, the answers just are pulled on you.

[2:19] Amen! That is why, the fact that you prayed yesterday, does not mean you shouldn't pray today. Because yesterday's prayer has become a platform for today's prayer.

[2:35] When you look at this building, it's full of blocks. Blocks. You need first layer of blocks before you can have the second layer of blocks. So you get to the place, the top where you put the metal, steel beam.

[2:52] Yeah. So you need to lay, lay, lay. Now, God is bringing a major steel beam situation, blessing in your life. Amen! But, you need to, the first prayer of the one must lay a setting foundation.

[3:06] Second prayer, none of your prayers, if you make them in faith, and you are working with God, none of those prayers go unnoticed and unanswered.

[3:18] So he said, Cornelius, your prayers have come before God for a memorial. I want someone to remember that yesterday's prayers have not been forgotten.

[3:31] Amen! Just like the loan you took three years ago has not been forgotten. They haven't written to you yet. They haven't forgotten it.

[3:43] Oh, yes. He hasn't been forgotten. Just like the record when you were in school, your GCSE results, you have moved far away from it.

[3:58] Life is going, no, it's not been forgotten. It's still there. At the appropriate time, it might become useful for you or for your enemies. Yes. Yes. The same way some exams that you wrote and you pass is not forgotten.

[4:18] It will work for you. Amen! Amen! I see God taking us to dimensions of glory and favors.

[4:29] Amen! So, we will pray again. Why are we going to pray? Oh, I can't hear. Why are we going to pray? God has said prayers.

[4:40] That means the more prayers you pray, the more you give God to work with. Yes!

[4:52] The Holy Ghost should have come on day one after Jesus left. But God needed ten days of prayer. Ten days in Acts 1, verse 14.

[5:05] And these all continued with one accord in prayer. So, God needed them to continue in prayer.

[5:16] In Colossians 4, 2. Continue earnestly in prayer. Be vigilant in it with thanksgiving. That's a very loaded statement.

[5:29] So, don't stop praying. And he said earnestly. In other words, keep being enticed about your prayer. Don't stop it.

[5:39] And then whilst you are praying, keep be vigilant. Watch out in prayer. God will be saying something to you. God will be dropping something in your heart. God will be giving you some guidance and direction.

[5:50] Watch out in prayer with thanksgiving. So, you are thankful watching and praying. Continue earnestly in prayer. Say it with me, please.

[6:02] Continue earnestly in prayer. Say it to somebody, continue earnestly in prayer. Continue earnestly in prayer. When there are certain prayers that heaven does not delay in answering.

[6:23] One of such prayers is when you pray for the Holy Spirit to come upon you. another of such prayers is when you are praying for the work of God.

[6:37] Another of such prayers is when you are praying for God to use you. God likes using people. Tell somebody, I said, God likes using people.

[6:50] people. And God is always looking for who next to use. So, you see what God is using me to do right now?

[7:01] He's looking for who is next. So, all this thing I'm doing is actually God is using that to look for who are the next ones. God likes using people and it's always Bible says that the eyes of the Lord move to and through the whole earth seeking to show himself strong in the behalf of those who have a right towards him.

[7:25] In the book of 2nd Chronicles 69, the eyes of the Lord run to and through the whole earth to show himself strong in the behalf of not everybody.

[7:36] in the behalf of those who are loyal to him. God likes using people.

[7:48] So, anytime you pray for God to use you, those kind of prayers get quick answers. Anytime you pray for souls to be one, souls to be one, God hears it and works with it.

[8:04] We had the testimony I think yesterday or the day before, one of her sisters just started praying for her own sister and the sister reached out to her and said, I admire you or something and got back to church and read it.

[8:19] Just small prayers. She herself was surprised. That God, I didn't know you answered this thing so quickly. Oh, there are some prayers God answered very quickly. Now, when it comes to personal testimonies or personal breakthroughs and personal comfort, God is not too quickly committed to that.

[8:38] However, it's part of God's package. So, sometimes when discomfort hits your life and it is not helping you and it is hurting you and you pour out your heart before God, God is most likely to do something about it, especially if you tie it to his move.

[8:56] So, if you are homeless, so God, if you give me a house, I will make sure every day there will be prayer. People will come and be praying in the house and use the house for missionaries.

[9:09] God said, did you say that your phone will ring? Oh, are you the landlord of that house? He said, no, I'm not a landlord. I thought you, sorry, I thought you, because there's a house there and there's a, but my house is next to that house and I'm trying to rent it out or give it to somebody at the, so I thought you had a, no, no, but I'm looking for a house.

[9:35] Somebody will just stray into your hands. You are not growing younger. You are not growing younger.

[9:47] You are growing faster, not older, faster. So, some things that need to be done need to be done quick. But some of the things you cannot, you cannot force someone.

[10:03] You should like me. Yeah, you should like me. No, you don't, you can't do that. But there are some patterns you can press in life and Bible said that if a man's ways please the Lord, he will even make his enemies to be at peace with him in the book of Proverbs.

[10:19] He said, when a man's ways please the Lord, God makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. So, you can't force your enemies to be at peace with you, but you can make your ways please the Lord.

[10:34] Oh, yes. You say, sister, you don't have time.

[10:44] because looking at what your life has been designed to accomplish, every minute counts from now because quite a bit has been wasted and so every minute counts and you have to maximize it.

[11:05] Didn't we see in today's reading verse 4, I have to do the works of him who sent me while it is there.

[11:16] Why? For the night cometh when no man can work. There's a time coming when you want to do by so late. So, Jesus, he said, as long as I'm in the world, I'm the light of the world.

[11:31] Even him who is the light of the world, he said, as long as I'm here, I'm the light. However, I'm time bound. David's put it this way in Psalm 90 verse 12.

[11:44] Teach us to number our days so we can apply our hearts unto wisdom. Teach us, O Lord, to number our days so we can apply our hearts to wisdom.

[11:59] In the book of Psalm 39 verse 4, that's even a scary one. He said, Lord, make me to know my end. And what is the measure of my days that I may know how frail I am.

[12:15] I don't got time to put it in my best American slang. I don't got time. You are, you don't, he said, make me to know my end.

[12:27] He's standing here, but his mind is on the, towards the end. and he's counting his days. Teach me to number my days. One of the unpleasant things to find out about science is that every woman is born with a set of eggs.

[12:52] And as you are growing, they are going. As you are growing, you are dropping them. So every menstrual, season, egg has come to pass.

[13:03] Every menstrual season. So after, when you have a lot of menses, that means a lot of eggs have gone. So when it gets to a certain time, all the eggs are finished.

[13:19] That's what happened to Sarah. But God had her. So there are some of you here, it doesn't matter how low your egg, the number of eggs left, because of God, you still fall within God's programming.

[13:35] Did you understand? So with God, nothing is late. But with man, time is not on our side. That's why we have to always team up with God and work with Him.

[13:47] Because once we are working with Him and He's working with us based on His schedule, what even looks late is not late. So that's why you can be a brother or sister or particular sister and you're not married and you don't have to cheapen yourself and compromise your godly values because you are growing old.

[14:06] No! When you are with God, you are not growing old. When God is with you, you are growing in time. You work with time. Teach me to number my days so I can apply my heart onto wisdom.

[14:20] I see God meeting somebody at the point of your need. tonight, I just want to share with you, one of the things prayer can do is that prayer doesn't go waste.

[14:35] So when you pray, and one of the prayers David prayed is that teach us to number our days so we can apply our hearts onto wisdom to secure a testimony, to secure, to generate, to activate, generate and secure testimony.

[14:50] It takes the spirit, to secure testimony. It takes prayer. So, and there are certain prayers that one must pray. One of such prayers is teach us to number our days.

[15:02] Teach us to number Lord, let me not go around playing when it's time to be praying. Some people instead of praying, they are playing.

[15:14] And then when it's time for harvest, they are found wanting. But that will not be your story. We are going to pray in just for a short time, two minutes.

[15:26] You are going to pray that prayer topic. Lord, teach me to number my days so I can apply my heart onto wisdom. And the second prayer you are going to pray is whatever is bothering you, whatever is a burden on your heart.

[15:40] The Bible says that cast all your care, 1 Peter 5, 7, casting all your care upon him for he cares for you. Thank you for listening to this message by David Entry.
