Things that Generate Testimonies Part 3

[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry. Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's word. May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you.

[0:12] There are things that provoke testimonies or things that lead to testimonies. Things that lead to testimonies. Number one, the Spirit. As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

[0:33] Number two, prayer. As you pray, you give God something to work with in your life to his glory for your sake.

[0:45] For in him we live and move and have our being. Number three, faith, which plays out in the exhibition of our obedience.

[1:05] The exhibition of our obedience. Now listen, in times like this, in times of our fasting and prayer, I would really want to encourage you to indulge yourself in wanting to hear from God with a heart to obey promptly.

[1:24] Nothing makes the voice of God clearer, more clear or clearer than a heart, a desire to obey at any cost.

[1:40] So before you hear from God, you have this heart, God, I will obey you. Speak, I will obey you. And you mean it. You are not just saying it. So religiously massage your conscience.

[1:53] But you mean it. It makes God's voice clearer. And the voice that is meant to turn your story around comes to you faster.

[2:04] Someone get what I'm saying. So obedience. Say obedience. In this fasting, let your fasting be characterized. Your spirituality, the hunger in your heart be characterized or be corresponding to the heart of obedience you are working in.

[2:25] Why are you fasting and not ready to obey? So obedience is important. And let me add one for tonight.

[2:36] Number four is covenant connections. Covenant connections. Covenant connections. Covenant connections.

[2:50] What are covenant connections? Covenant connections are intentional acts or activities to connect with something you believe God is working in.

[3:06] Or God is working with. Covenant connections. Or somewhere you believe God is at. Okay, so it's unintentional. You do it intentionally.

[3:19] So I see that every time he leads prayer, God, people begin to run to give their life to Jesus.

[3:30] People begin, no, that is kind of unusual. I see that there's God at work. And so I choose to align my heart and myself to what I am seeing.

[3:42] And nothing God does happens in a vacuum. So God works through people. God works through places. God works through circumstances. One reason why I love Bishop and I'm loyal to him is because thin on the man's life, I am intentionally connecting.

[4:00] It's a covenant connection. No, no, no. I need him. He doesn't need me. Oh, no, no. Bishop doesn't need me for anything. These people, they don't need me. For what?

[4:11] They were doing well before I even started pastoring. They were doing well. This is how you have to understand covenant connections. If you and you, he's very anointed.

[4:26] The hand of God is so mighty on his life. And you are a very good person. Very nice person. Listen, my allegiance first is where I see God at work. Oh, yeah, yeah.

[4:38] Where I see God at work is called covenant. You have, it's an intentional. It's not like feeling. Sometimes I feel funny. But I have to be intentional because it's only a fool who will see God at work and walk away from it.

[4:52] Because anytime you notice God at work, it means that God wants to help you. That's why he, because others never know he's at work. The 12 disciples, Jesus chose. How come they knew?

[5:03] He chose God who called them. Jesus said, I have not lost anyone. All those you gave me, John chapter 17 from verse 8. All the people you gave me, I have kept. Except the son of perdition.

[5:16] What? That's wrong. Whilst I was with them in the world, I have kept them in thy name. Those that you thou gave back to me, I have kept. So where did he get the disciples from?

[5:26] Apostles. God gave them to him. So Peter and John, in spite of all those Pharisees, God didn't choose them. Because he said, no man can come to me.

[5:37] I said, the father draws him. So even for them to be disciples of Jesus Christ, it was a work of God. How did they know that he's the Messiah? It's not because of education. Not because of smartness.

[5:49] Because of the workings of God. And so, when you notice God at work somewhere, it's God who is advertising himself to you. And to others, he chooses not to advertise himself. Anytime God advertises himself to you, that means he wants to sell you a unique product.

[6:05] Grace product. Sometimes different types of grace product. It can be your finances. It can be your marriage. It can be your health. It can be your ministry. It can be your children. It can be your business.

[6:17] It can be your career. It can be a court case God wants to just deliver you from. Nothing happens by accident. Praise the Lord. So, covenant connections.

[6:29] In Deuteronomy chapter 7, verse 12. God told them because of their obedience. See, obedience is important. It says that, Wherefore, it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to do these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant, and the mercy which he swore unto thy fathers.

[6:54] It's not you. It's unto thy fathers. But your obedience makes the covenant work. The covenant doesn't have to be to you. Your connection to the people who carry the covenant, make the covenant operative in your life.

[7:08] Because God is a God of covenant. In Psalm 74, verse 20, he said, Have respect to the covenant. For the dark places of this world are full of cruelty.

[7:21] Yes. Have respect unto the covenant. For the dark places of the earth are full of habitations of cruelty. Wickedness are hiding in different places.

[7:34] You don't know what is being hatched against you. Oh, but God will have respect to the covenant. God will have respect to the covenant. God will have respect to the covenant. If you respect the covenant, God will respect the covenant for you.

[7:47] Any darkness that is what is planned, is programmed to overtake you suddenly. I reverse it in the name of Jesus. God works with covenant.

[8:04] He is a God of the covenant. In fact, in Exodus chapter 2, verse 24, that's the last scripture. Exodus chapter 2, verse 24.

[8:15] And God heard their groaning. And remember... Oh... He heard their groaning of his people.

[8:25] He heard what was going on. And he remembered... He remembered his covenant with Abraham. It wasn't Abraham who was groaning. It wasn't Abraham.

[8:37] It's the people who are connected to Abraham. They were groaning. And if the covenant was with Abraham, then anybody who connects himself to Abraham, Genesis chapter 12 said, I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you.

[8:52] There are easier ways to generate testimonies, to provoke testimonies. Look for where God is working. And in quotes, foolishly, in quotes, foolishly, childishly.

[9:06] Let them call it childishly. But childlikely connect yourself. Connect yourself. When you see... Sometimes when you come to meetings like this, there are times you can sense.
