Things That Generate Testimonies Part 4

[0:15] There are things when you do, they invariably lead to a testimony. Somebody lift up your right hand and say, my testimony is on the way.

[0:25] My testimony is on the way. Because of the goodness of God. And because of the grace of the practices I engage in. There are things you do that move the heavens for you.

[0:45] There are things you do that make the heavens move for you. So number one, what did I say? The Holy Spirit.

[1:00] First, God doesn't work because you are in need. Don't forget this. God doesn't work because people are in need. He would have been working a lot more in the war-torn and impoverished regions.

[1:15] God moves because of his personal agenda. So it is the Holy Spirit that impresses.

[1:26] Even if God has to move in your family. Because there is a crisis in your family. The Holy Spirit will move somebody's heart to pray. Because as you see in the next point.

[1:43] First of all, everything God does is God-advised. Is God-inspired. God-generated and originates from the counsel of God.

[1:56] So Romans chapter 8 verse 20 said, All things work together for good. According to those who love. Those works together for good. To them that love the Lord. And are called according to his purpose.

[2:08] His purpose must be in place. Ephesians chapter 1 verse 11. Ephesians chapter 1 verse 11 talks about. In whom also we have obtained and inheritance been predestined.

[2:18] According to their purpose. So even as salvation is based on God has a certain agenda. According to the purpose of him who worketh all things after.

[2:31] Not after your prayer. The reason why God works is not because you are in need. But he works after the counsel of his own will. So his will is what advises him.

[2:45] He works after the counsel of his own will. He does all things according to the purpose of God.

[2:57] So the Holy Spirit must inspire you to be in the center. And to know the purpose of God. Number two is prayer. Prayer is an avenue to authorize God to act on earth.

[3:13] But God is almighty. He can do anything he wants. Not on the earth. On the earth. He will use human beings. That's why Jesus even had. Jesus needed a mother Mary in order to operate on the earth.

[3:26] And not just that. There needed to be a father Joseph to take him to go and hide in Egypt. When Herod wanted to kill God. Can you imagine? God had to be on the run.

[3:37] And he depended. He was depending on somebody. Called Joseph. Matthew chapter 2. So prayer authorizes God to work on it.

[3:48] Now number three. To generate testimony. So if you want a testimony. Depend on the Holy Spirit. If you want to provoke a testimony. Number two. Do what? Number two. I can't hear.

[3:59] Number two. Pray. Because if you don't pray. Testimony will not happen. Prayer. Prayer. One of the benefits of prayer. It brings us in alignment with the purpose of God.

[4:12] So prayer helps you to synchronize with God. You don't struggle to do things according to God's will. When you are prayerful.

[4:23] When people are so desperate. Oh please. When people are so desperate. I just want to know the will of God. I just want to know. It's because you are not praying enough.

[4:36] When you pray. You begin to move. As you move. You are. You flow in line with God. Number three. Faith.

[4:49] Without faith. Forget about attempting to please God. How can you make God smile without faith? There are people on earth.

[5:00] Who God looks down and smile on. Wow. That's why the songwriter said. I want to put a smile on your face. I present my. There are people who. God looks down on and smiles.

[5:13] May you be such a one. But to do that. It takes faith. What do I mean by faith? Absolute confidence in God.

[5:25] That God would do it. I was listening to a message. And it blessed me. About in Mark. In the book of Mark. When the Herodians and the Pharisees. Came to. Come and tempt Jesus.

[5:36] In Mark. And they tempted him. And they said that. Should we pay. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar? Because in Deuteronomy. God.

[5:46] In the book of Mark. In the book of Mark. God. Didn't allow the Leviticus. But. If you are under Roman rule. Wherever. In fact. When you are. A male. And you are 12 years and above.

[5:58] You have to pay tax. It's a living tax. You know. In this country. We have council tax. We have road tax. They have living. Being alive. So once.

[6:09] Between 12 years and 65 years. You are supposed to pay tax. To the Roman authority. If you are a male. And if you are a female. From 14 years to 65 years.

[6:20] You are supposed to pay tax. To the Roman government. And people didn't like it. When they started it. There was a great revolt. In the year 6 BC. Great.

[6:31] Great revolt. They fought. And there was this guy. Simon. Simon. There is a lot. He started it. And they killed him. But his followers.

[6:42] Were under. Fight. So by the time Jesus came. Paying taxes to Rome. Was very. Very. Bad. It's like. The public. Didn't like it. Public opinion.

[6:54] Was against it. So how can you tell us. To pay taxes. To Rome. No. This is our land. We can't pay taxes. And yet. Anybody.

[7:04] Says don't pay tax. It was a political. Landmine. The Romans. Will come after you. And squash you. If you rise up. And say no one should pay tax. You are like a terrorist.

[7:16] If you. Say. We shouldn't pay tax. Taxes to. Rome. Rome. Will come after you. They will either arrest you. And execute you.

[7:28] Or be thrown into prison for life. Or something very harsh. Yet. You cannot be a religious leader. And say. Pay tax. You can't say.

[7:39] Be a religious leader. Because it's like. You are against God. So it was. Not God's approval. To pay tax. Yet. It was not. Unlawful. This is the question. They ask him. Then the Pharisees.

[7:49] The teacher. We know that you are. You are true. And care about no one. Is that true? Yes. What they said about Jesus. Was true. They said something true.

[7:59] But with the wrong intention. He said. Oh yeah. Great guy. Yes he is. For you. For you do not regard the persons of men. Is it.

[8:10] You see that. Lawful. Lawful. Is it lawful. Now. This is a very tricky question. They. They didn't. They didn't say that. What do you think about taxes?

[8:21] They said. Is it lawful. To pay. To pay taxes. To Caesar. Yes. Or not. It's a yes or no. Yes or no question. So. It's a yes or no answer.

[8:32] You have to give yes or no. If you say yes. Ah. It's a political. Problem. If you say no. It's a religious problem. When you mix religion and politics.

[8:45] All you have is politics. So. They. They ask him. What should. Is it right to pay. Is it lawful.

[8:56] God. Is not lawful. Caesar. Is lawful. And. They had. Corned him. He has to answer. And get into trouble now. I know some of you.

[9:08] You are in situation. You see. What. Whatever you do. You are in trouble. It's like. You lose. On both ends. Whatever you do. Oh. Not when God is with you. That's why I said all this.

[9:21] When God is with you. There is a way. God will make a way. For you to win. Yes. So I don't know. I know I am talking to somebody. I am addressing somebody.

[9:32] Who is in a situation. That looks like. A loose. Loose situation. But when Jesus is on your side. When God is on your side. He will turn it all around. For your good.

[9:52] Bring me a coin. Who said is this? He's on the coin. He said Caesar. Is it? So the coin. He said. Okay. Then give what belongs to Caesar.

[10:03] To Caesar. And. They thought. They tricked him. Yeah. But. When your. Your back is against the wall. God will always. When you depend.

[10:13] When you have faith in God. That's what I'm talking about. When you have faith in God. When you have faith in God. It might look very gloomy. It might look very bleak. It might look very impossible.

[10:24] But. What. Why are you coming to a place like this? We are praying. And you are still returning impossibilities. You are still believing that.

[10:35] Well. It's not this one. It's a close case. Who told you it's a close case? Who told you it's a close case? Not with God. For with God. All things are possible. If I were you.

[10:48] I would scream. I believe God. I believe God. If I were you. I would scream even louder. I believe God. What have you got to say about your marriage?

[11:00] I believe God. What have you got to say about your finances? I believe God. What have you got to say about your ministry? I believe God. What have you got to say about your health? I believe God.

[11:11] What have you got to say about your family? I believe God. What have you got to say about your children? I believe God. What have you got to say about your future? I believe God. Have you got anything to say?

[11:22] What have you got to say? Scream, I believe God. Didn't Paul say, don't be of good cheer.

[11:37] In the midst of the shipwreck, there's no hope. He said, be of good cheer. Why? Because I believe God. Because there was a believer on the boat, they landed safely.

[11:48] And there was not the loss of even one soul. Meanwhile, none of them were supposed to live, but there was one. Because there was one who believed God. All lived.

[12:02] What have you got to say? Have you got anything to say? Please say that because of my time. Faith. Shall faith?

[12:14] Is the substance of things hoped for. Whilst others are hoping one day. You already have the... Faith takes you into the future.

[12:25] You see, those who walk by faith live in the future. They live in the future reality. From the present, they are living in the future. You are very futuristic in your approach to life.

[12:38] Why? Because I believe God. They were almost dying. Everything. All hope was lost in the sea. And yet, Paul said, I must... I must...

[12:48] I must appear before Caesar. So, no worry at all. I know me. I will get to Caesar. What makes you think you... I don't know. I don't know. I don't have a lifeboat. I don't have...

[12:59] I don't know the direction. But I have something. I have... It's the compass of my life. It's the direction of my life. Even when everything is lost. All hope is lost. When there is a no-no situation.

[13:12] When it's a lose-lose situation. Because I have faith. I believe God. It will turn in my favor. I know I am describing somebody's situation. I know I am describing somebody's condition.

[13:24] I see your faith speaking for you. Have you got anything to say? I have... What have you got to say? I have... Please be seated.

[33:30] They know you as water... But as they deal with you... They begin to taste wine... Why? Because of prophetic encounter... I see that I make your testimony... I stand here as a prophet...

[37:12] Mary and she broke the alabaster box and spent it on Jesus and Judas was complaining Jesus said leave her alone let her alone for unto my burial has she done what she has done I'm telling you wherever the gospel it will be mentioned for a memorial for a memorial because what did this woman understand the way she received the prophet the way she honored the prophet that everybody could see clearly Bible says it filled the whole house don't be tired of receiving a prophet let me just throw it in honor will give you long life and well-being who you honor will determine how well you do whether I like it or not who you honor will determine how well you do and then location instead of finding problems and complaining shift your heart and determine me I will honor this person everything the person does is right instead of thinking that others outside your camp are more honorable you are missing it you are missing it when God gives you a prophet and you think others are more powerful because they are celebrities you have missed it yes you missed it your status won't change because your testimony will become you have not received the prophet

I have commanded a widow there to provide for you meanwhile Jesus' rendering of this text in Luke chapter 4 verse 25 he says that I tell you there were many widows in Israel when the heavens were shattered for three and half years and there was a great family throughout verse 26 but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zeraphat in the region of Sidon to a woman who was a widow God sent Elijah there on a purpose for prophetic sustenance so he says that go to the widow go to Zeraphat a widow I have commanded a widow there to sustain you but it was rather the opposite he was going to source that's what

[44:52] Jesus said the woman was sent the prophet was sent to that widow there were a lot of other widows but they died the woman the prophet was sent to that widow in the book of second kings he said the king tore his clothes and he said this guy is looking for trouble there's famine in the land I mean he said this and the king was sad and the prophet said the king shouldn't worry there's a prophet here in the same way chapter 5 of second king Naaman the king of Syria sent a letter to the king that I'm sending this leper to you heal him heal him chapter 5 of second king said then he brought the letter to the king of Israel which said now when this letter is come to the behold

[45:53] I have there with sent Naaman my servant thee that thou may recover him of how can a king recover somebody of leper listen to the response of the king verse 7 and it came to pass when the king of Israel had read a letter that he tore his clothes and said am I God to kill or to make a life that this man that sent unto me to recover a man of his leprosy wherefore consider I pray you and see how he seeks a quarrel against me because he knows I can't hear that he is trying to fight he wants to pick a quarrel and he knows I can't fight him so he wants to bully me then the king!

[46:38] so it was so it was when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel has told his clothes that he sent to the king saying where have you torn your clothes please let him come to me and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel shall prophesy let him know let him come there might be a king the king doesn't solve some problems money doesn't solve all problems yeah certificate doesn't solve a lot of problems but the prophets whatever shape or form the problem takes God through his prophet in Hosea he said by a prophet God brought them out of Israel by a prophet prophetic encounters changes destinies changes destiny I know too many people including myself whose destinies have changed because of encounters with the prophet the prophet here

[47:46] I mean the man God has sent to change your story there are people God sends for you he came down he said in Exodus chapter 3 he said from verse 3 and 4 he said have seen the affliction of my people I have heard their cry and therefore I have come down the Lord said I have surely seen the oppression of my people in Egypt and heard their cry because of them for I know their verse 8 so I have come down to deliver them out of the Egyptians and to bring them out from the land to a good and large land to the land flowing and all that and look at the next verse now therefore behold the cry of the children of you have come to me and I have also seen the oppression which Jesus has oppressed them come now therefore I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people the children of
