[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry. Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's word. May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you.

[0:15] To enjoy testimony, the base, one of the biggest aspects of what creates the move of God on earth is prayer.

[0:25] So, I feel I should share a few things on the ingredients of effective prayer.

[0:38] In Luke chapter 11 verse 1, And it came to pass that as he was praying in a certain place, when he seized, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray.

[0:55] Wow! That means number one, they saw him doing something and they saw the impact of his prayer. They knew that we also want that.

[1:06] They didn't say teach us to preach. They said teach us to pray. Because if you can pray, you can never be a prayer. If you can pray, life cannot play with you.

[1:22] If you can pray, you always never cease to go up. You can never go down in prayer. Nobody goes down by faith.

[1:33] The law of faith makes you float. And the law of faith works with prayer. Let me add another scripture.

[1:43] In James chapter 5 verse 16. James chapter 5 verse 16 says that, Confess your faults one to another, And pray one for another, That ye may be healed.

[2:01] That ye may be healed. Then it says the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous avails my works. So, I'm talking about what makes our prayers effectual.

[2:17] Effectual. Or fervent. It's an effectual, fervent prayer. Number one is concentration.

[2:30] See that kind of prayer you are praying, And then you go and take biscuits. Then you press this one. And then you are praying. Then someone will go, Oh, listen, listen, I'm praying. I'll talk to you afterwards.

[2:44] Then you are praying. Then you are sending message to somebody. And then someone asks you, What are you doing? Cring your phone notification. Oh, I'm praying. Cring.

[2:56] When can we meet for coffee? How about Monday? At least you are not serious. Switch off your phone when you are praying. And most of us, when we are reading our Bibles, Switch off your phone.

[3:13] Where possible. So you can have concentration. When we talk about concentration, We are also talking about Communication.

[3:27] Concentration and communion. You have to commune with it. That's what makes prayer, prayer. Why do you need concentration? Because you are communing with God. So, prayer in which you are not communing with God, What are you doing?

[3:42] You are just talking to yourself. It's not prayer. You have to talk to God. So, that's why it's always better To pray with words.

[3:57] Don't just pray in your head. Most people like praying in their head. It's better.

[4:07] Jesus said, When you pray, Say. So, a prayer involves saying. Hebrews chapter 5, 7 says that Jesus Christ in the days of his flesh, When he had offered us prayers, With strong cries and tears.

[4:26] You can, The strong cries, You can get a better Understanding of it In Mark 1, 35. In the morning, Rising up great while before day, He went out And departed to a solitary Place Where he prayed.

[4:44] John chapter 7 Was a record of his prayer. Because in prayer, We speak. To commune. So, commune. And to commune, You need Concentration.

[4:58] You need concentration. So, you need to talk To God. For your prayers To be effective, You need to talk. And for you to talk Effectively, You need Concentration.

[5:13] Number two. Consecration. Number one is what? Number two is Consecration.

[5:27] What does it mean To consecrate? To consecrate means To set something apart. How Samuel told the cook, Set apart some meat.

[5:40] Reserve it. Don't add it to what Everybody is experiencing. Put it aside. So, to have Consecration, It means that You set yourself Aside for God.

[5:55] There must be times Where You are actually Dedicatedly Spending Just the time With God in prayer. That's why Jesus Went to a solitary Place Whilst people Whilst others Were sleeping.

[6:10] Sometimes the best time To have a practice Private prayer Is when people are sleeping Or when people Are not around. Sometimes It's good You set yourself Aside. Consecrate yourself.

[6:22] So you can be Amongst us praying But you Consecrate yourself. Sometimes you are Standing in the corner By yourself. You don't watch Whether somebody is Falling or not. You consecrate. You set yourself Apart From distractions From infiltrations From all kinds Of things In your life That does not Facilitate Your work With God.

[6:48] When you are Christian And God Wants to bless you He will draw Your attention To things In your life That don't Help your work With Him. So if I say There are things In your life That are not Helping your work With God You know You know it You can't pretend What is it You know it Unless you are Far from God When you take An inch A step Towards God You will know Something that Need to go Something that Need to You need to Be excused of Because It stands In the way Of your work With God And that is why Many people Don't enjoy Answered prayers Because of Lack of Consecration Lack of Consecration When we talk About consecration It also means Purity Tell somebody Consecration Is Critical

[7:49] For effectual Prayers Yeah Consecration Is critical Is that one Getting me Yeah God likes Consecration It makes him Feel you Value him It makes him Feel you Honor him When you Set yourself Aside For him In spite Of Proclivities Tendencies And appetites Let me Let me Digress To say this Because some Of you Have not Practiced it It will Help you When you If your Appetite is Troubling you In your Walk with God Pray about It Don't say Okay I overcome No Start praying About it Ask God To help You Ask God Help me To So deal With this Thing Yeah Pray about Your temptations Hello

[8:52] Pray about Everybody Ask The temptations You are not Praying about Will Overstake You Like a Storm But when You pray About Temptations When they Come The Spirit of God Will help You Mount A Resistance Yeah So Learn how To pray About Your temptations Because you Have it Yes Somebody say Consecration So Ingredients For effective Prayer Number One Number Two Number Three Commands What do I Mean by Commands The word

[9:53] Of God Is the Command of God The word Of God I'm just Giving you All C's Command The word Of God If there's No God's Word In your Prayer It's a Prayer in Vain You Come to God With his Word Because The scriptures Cannot Be Broken John 10 35 And The Scripture Cannot Be Broken I want To show You Something I've Not Really Said Much About In The Past Genesis Chapter 32 From Verse Verse Verse 25 When Jacob Was Left Alone And He Prayed And Not This

[10:54] One No Let's Let's Go Back Back Back I think Let's Go From Verse 20 Or Somewhere There He Prayed And The Content Of Prayer He He He He Said To God Or Maybe It's Chapter 28 It Can't Be Chapter 22 He He Said To God That God You Said To Me That's How He Started His Prayer He Said God You Said To Me That Okay So 32 Verse 9 Then Jacob Oh My God My Father The Lord Which Says Unto Me Retain Unto Thy Country And To Thy Kindred And I Will Deal With You I Will Deal Well With You There So He Came Back To God With I I'm Going Now I Had Israel Is Coming To Kill Me But God You Said To Me Go So He Went To Go With His Word The One Who Was Coming To Kill Him Came To Embrace Him Then

[11:56] After The Prayer It Changed The Story Command So Effectual Prayer Must Have The Content Of Your Effectual Prayer Must Be The Word Of God Say The Word Of God That's Command Number Four Convictions Conviction You Must Have Conviction You Are Convicted You Have A Conviction About Or You Are Convicted!

[12:30] Convicted About The Word Of God And The God Of Prayers The God In Another Way Faith You Have Conviction About God That God Answers Prayers Listen Don't Pray To A God You Are Not Sure Who Answer Your Prayer When You Are Praying Pray To The God Who Answers Prayers Come To God With Conviction That's Faith He Says That If Anyone Lacks Wisdom Let Him Answer God James And Who Gives Liberally Without And Then Verse 6 And 7 Is A Very Scary Let Him Ask In Faith Nothing Wavering For He That Waver Is Like The Wave Of The Sea Driven With The Wind And To Verse 7 Says!

[13:15] For Let Not That Man Think He Shall Receive! He said Don't Think You You Must Ask In Faith In James Chapter 5 He Says If Anyone Is Sick Let Him Come For The Elders Of The Church The Next Verse Says That And Let Them Pray For You And Prayer Of What The Prayer Of Faith Prayer Of Faith Shall Save The Sick And The Lord Shall Raise Him Up So Number Four Is Faith You Have To Pray In Faith Pray In Faith When You Are Praying Say Lord I Believe You Lord I Believe Come With This Word I Believe This What Your Word Says And I Believe You And Stay Concentrated Communion With God I Believe This What Your Word

[14:15] Has Said And I Believe! Say It So You Are Convinced! That God Is Going To God You Said You Say Please Stop Praying What Will Happen God What Will Happen No Come To Have A Word Reason Why You Should Ask You Must Have A Word Reason Why You Should Ask And When You Are Asking He Said This Is 1st John Chapter 5 Verse 14 This Is The Confidence We Have In Him That When We Pray According To His Will See The Will Is His Command When We Pray According!

[15:05] Whatsoever We Ask We Know That We Have We Have The Petition That We Have Desired Of We Know We Have It That's The Conviction I Know I Got It Because I Praying His Will I Know I Got It If You Don't Pray His Will You Pray Amis Number Confession What Are You Saying What You Are Saying Will Determine How Your Prayer Whether Your Prayer Will Be Answer Not What You Are Saying In Prayer Your Language After You Are Finished Praying I Don't Think I Will Ever Get Married But You Just Pray God I Believe You For Married Now You Are Going I Don't Think I Will Ever Get Married My Biological Clock Is Thinking My Intellectual Clock Is Thinking My Geographical Clock Is Please Don't Say What You Don't Want To See After

[16:08] You Pray Say What You Prayed About And Let The Prayer Your Topic Become Your Confession Your Expectation The Things You Say Someone Guess What I'm Saying Factual Prayers Elijah Said There Shall Not Be Rain Except By My Word He Was Talking No Now He Had Prayed Already Before He Spoke That Kind Of Language He Said As Long As The Lord Leave It There Shall Not Be Rain As Long As Long As The Lord Of Israel Leave Before Who Might Stand There Shall Not Be Dune Or Rain These Three Years But According To My Word He Went And Said It But Meanwhile When You Go To James He Says That He Prayed That James Chapter 5 17 Elijah Is A Man Very Ordinary Like Us He Has Feelings Like Us Sometimes Feels Down He Feels!

[17:03] Encouraged One Day He Was Ran Away! From Town Because Subject To Light Passions As We Are And He Prayed Endlessly Endlessly That It Might Not Rain And It Rained Not On The Earth By The Space Of Three Years And After He Prayed He Went And Told The King It Shall Not Rain But I Said By Man Wait So When He Went To Tell The King He Had Already Been Praying!

[17:42] His Prayer Confession Tell Somebody Confess A Right Number Six Is A Nice One Commandments I Didn't Say Command Command Is The Word But Commandments What Do I Mean Commandments Every Time You Go Closer To God You Hear Him Tell You Something You Should Do So Effective Prayer Is The Prayer That Opens Up To What God Is Saying Because Sometimes You Can Pray About This Boy But When You Listen God Is Tell You Not This Boy Is That Man So When You Pray Expect That God Will Give You Some Commandments God

[18:42] Will Tell You Go And Forgive Forgive That Guy God Will Tell You Disconnect From This Person Do This God Will Tell You Write The Names Of Your Children Who Are No Here Born There Are Things That You Know In Prayer So That's Why I Thank God That I Getting The Opportunity To Teach Because Sometimes The Teachings!

[19:06] Will Pass On The Commandments Of God After All This It's Good But Your Prayer Will Go Far Unless You Hear From God You Hear From God And It Helps You To Know What Directions You Should Take Commandments Sometimes Nice He Said In Habakkuk Chapter 2 I Will Stand Upon My Rampant I Will Stand Upon My Watch And Set Myself Upon The Tower And I Will Watch To See What He Will Say Unt Me And What I Shall Answer When I Am Reproved He Said I Want To See What He Will Say To Me That's Rare If Ghost To Ghost Said I Know God Has Got Something To Say God Has Something To Say God Has Something To Say I Will Listen Pay Full Attention God Has Something To Say I Said

[20:07] God Has Something To Say God Has Something To Say I Will Listen Pay Full Attention God has something to say.

[20:19] When you are praying, bend your ears. Stand upon your watch and see what he will say because he's got something to say.

[20:33] Answers to prayer often comes through what you hear him say. And when he says something, he's commanding you to take an action. David inquired of the Lord.

[20:44] The Lord said, go. The Lord said, wait. The Lord said, stand there. The Lord said, go there. That's what got him his victories. He prayed and he was watching and praying.

[20:59] Number what? Number seven. Oh, this one is a big one. It's almost like a consecration one. It's conduct.

[21:12] Conduct. You are praying one thing. There are people, you know, oh, I've been meaning to say this. Every time we have meetings and the Holy Ghost starts moving, a constant meeting like this, there will always be some people who will be coupling themselves together.

[21:31] They will be coming together, prayer meetings. But you never see them work together. When we, they will come together from wherever. When they are getting close, they use different routes because undercover relationship, dodgy relationship.

[21:46] And then after church, you never see them together. But if you set surveillance, you see for some reason, sometimes after church, one will go north, the other one will go south.

[21:58] But for some reason, they will all meet together in a matter of 20 minutes old. And then they go together home. They go and spend time together. Sometimes, they spend more time than they are afraid.

[22:14] I believe that they are genuine people. But they didn't watch their conduct. Satan outsmarted them. You think you are that strong? You wait. Satan is stronger. He knows you better than you know yourself.

[22:26] He knows that. So you have to be on God. Your conduct, your conduct, your conduct, your conduct, your conduct is spoiling the conclusion of your prayer.

[22:38] Your conduct. Bible says that the way you even treat your wife will determine whether your prayer will be answered or not.

[22:50] Yes. Yeah. Live likewise ye husband. Dwell with your wife according to knowledge. giving honor to the wife as unto a wicker vessel as being the heirs together of grace of life and of the grace of life.

[23:06] That's your prayers. See, this is conduct. If you don't behave in a certain way, your prayers will be hindered. Conduct.

[23:19] Conduct. Some things you are saying. Some things you are doing. False and the conduct that are hostile to the answers of prayers.

[23:33] But I see God answering your prayer. Number eight. Continuity. Yeah. Continuity.

[23:45] Consistency. You come as someone. Come one day and then you say, hey, and some people, they will never come early. Not because they were awake, you know. They came from home. They, no, no, no.

[23:57] Let me come maybe 10 minutes to closing time, 20 minutes to closing time. Especially those who don't live far. Always come late.

[24:09] Always come late. Always come late. It falls under the issue of the subject of consistency. You are not consistent. And so, the Bible says, continue in prayer in Colossians.

[24:24] It said, continue in prayer. You have to, continuity. Keep at it. Keep at it. Keep at it. Continuity and consistency. Keep at it. The fact that you pray and you didn't see the answer today doesn't mean the answer will not come.

[24:38] Keep praying. Daniel didn't stop for 21 days. He was still praying. Meanwhile, the answer was released on the first day. But it didn't show up until the 21st day. Number, number what?

[24:52] Number nine. I like number nine. Confidence. He said, let us come boldly before the throne of grace. Pray with confidence. In other words, knowing that God answers prayers.

[25:05] This is the confidence we have in Him. Faith is conviction. But confidence that this prayer and prayer, God will do something about it. confidence.

[25:18] Can't boldly. Knowing that I'm speaking to daddy. Daddy will answer. Daddy will do something about it. Daddy will do something. Pray with confidence in God.

[25:29] He said, my confidence is in God. Confidence. Somebody said the other time, God-fidence. And let me add one last one.

[25:43] Are you learning something? Effectual player. Ingredients of effectual player. Conclusion. Or you have to conclude.

[25:55] What's the meaning of that? It means you have to come to a conclusion in your heart that even if you don't see the answer today, God is righteous.

[26:09] Don't blackmail God. God, if you don't do anything in this fasting, I won't fast again. Stop the fasting now. Is someone learning something?

[26:22] So, you have to, in Hebrews chapter 11, verse 11, Bible says that by faith, Sarah herself received strength to conceive because, because, because, she judged.

[26:35] She judged. That is where the miracle came from. She judged that God is faithful. God is righteous and I'm not. God is faithful and I'm not like him.

[26:47] So, whatever God does, is right. Whether he chooses to answer the prayer now, or 20 years later, or not show up at all, or let it, not answer it in my lifetime.

[27:00] God is right. God is just. You have to approach God with that respect. That God is just. God is right.

[27:10] God is true. You have to have this conclusion in your heart that you are praying but God reserves the right to determine when to do it. The extent for Jesus when Lazarus was almost dying, he didn't show up but he was right.

[27:25] He didn't show up. Lazarus sister said, if you had been here, my brother wouldn't have died. She didn't know that God was right. Abraham, Bible says that Hebrews 11, 17.

[27:36] He offered by faith, he offered up Isaac. Isaac was supposed to be the heir of promise but he offered him and then do you know why he did that? Look at verse 18. It says that it was said Isaac was going to be the heir of Isaac.

[27:50] Isaac, a sea shall be called. So Isaac, he needed Isaac for his future. Accounting that God was able to, God said, I should kill him, I'll kill him but I judge God that he can do whatever he wants to do.

[28:03] Even if I kill him, God can raise him. He was talking about resurrection. He saw resurrection because he judged God faithful. Judge God faithful because see, you have entered a different realm of life.

[28:19] Realm where your prayers will see answers. Realm to engage in effective, faithful prayers and you will be a major testimony to the glory of God.

[28:35] If you believe in shout a living amen. Shout a believing amen. Did you receive something? Amen. Thank you for listening to this message by David Entry.
