[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry. Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's word. May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you.
[0:12] Elements of effectual fervent prayer. And I said number one is what? Concentration. Number two is what? Consecration. Number three, commands. Number four, convictions. Number five, confession. Number six, commandments. Number seven, conduct. Number eight, continuity. Number nine, and number ten, conclusion.
[0:39] Now, number eleven is a different one. It doesn't have any C. You can look for your own C and start with it. But number eleven is thanksgiving. Philippians 4, 6.
[0:55] Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer. Rends supplication with. It must go with thanksgiving. We went somewhere. We were having dinner. And Pastor said, I need some water to push things down.
[1:10] So then, that was the first time I heard someone say, water to push it down. You know, so the thanksgiving pushes the prayer up into heaven. So it said, with thanksgiving.
[1:23] They remembered John chapter 6, 23, 24, 25. And the other side of the Jordan where they had eaten the bread after he gave thanks. So the eating of bread was at the mercy of thanksgiving.
[1:40] And they remembered the thanksgiving was so prominent. And they remembered the thanksgiving was so prominent. It said, there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread after that the Lord had given thanks.
[1:58] John chapter 11, when he got to Lazarus' tomb from verse 40, he said, Lord, I thank you that you hear me. But for their sakes.
[2:09] So he started by talking about thanksgiving. I thank you. Say, Lord, I thank you. Lord, I thank you. So in today's reading, you see the representation of thanks twice.
[2:20] In the verse 15, Colossians chapter 3. And let the peace of God arbitrate in your heart. Let it rule in your heart.
[2:32] To the which ye also are called in one body. And be thankful. Be ye thankful. Just be thankful.
[2:44] So thankfulness allows you to operate in the realm of God. In the presence of God. Thankfulness. And verse 17 says, And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks.
[3:05] Giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Whatever you are doing, make sure thanksgiving is part of it. You are doing it all in the name. In the name of Jesus, where's your thanks?
[3:20] In Jesus' name. Hey, where's your thanks? Thanks. Thanks. God doesn't have attention for memories. No, that's for me.
[3:30] Why is it? That's only me. No one is helping me. Everybody, all my friends are going to help. That's not prayer. God doesn't listen to those kind of prayers.
[3:42] God, I'm thankful. I'm thankful. Remember me, Lord. Help me. I'm thankful. So, you must interweave.
[3:53] Your prayer must be interwoven with thanks. Not just the act of thanksgiving, which is what I'm talking about. But act of good, act of thanksgiving, is born out of a heart of gratitude.
[4:06] A heart of thankfulness. I am thankful. I am thankful. Somebody say, I'm thankful. I am thankful. Oh, yes. Yesterday's reading too. Verse 7.
[4:19] Thanksgiving makes an appearance there. It said, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith as you have been taught. Abounding in it.
[4:29] With thanksgiving. Abound in the fact that, be rooted and built up in him and established in the faith as you have been taught.
[4:41] So, you are rooted and grounded and established in the faith and increasing in it with thanksgiving. With that thanksgiving, you have a level of faith establishment. You are not going further.
[4:52] You abound in it. It's like thanksgiving is the fertilizer of faith works. The product of faith. Thanksgiving fertilizes it.
[5:05] Is that what you get the answer? Yeah. Be thankful. Ephesians chapter 5 verse 20. Giving thanks. How many times?
[5:15] How many times should we give thanks? Let's start with you here from the screen. Let's go. Giving thanks always for all things.
[5:30] Always. So, it doesn't matter whether it's good or bad. Lord, I'm just thankful. I'm thankful. I'm thankful. Always. Every time there should be some measure of thankfulness in your heart as you trust God.
[5:47] This leads me to how do we apply thanksgiving in prayer? So, what are we supposed to be thankful for? Number one. You thank God for the things he has done.
[5:59] You have to talk about great things he has done before you think about greater things he will do. But, Pastor, what has God done? Your head. You will know that God has not allowed you to die.
[6:15] You could have died. You think you are alive because it's a right. No. It's a gift. Life is not a right. Life is a gift. Thank God. Pastor, I don't know.
[6:28] I have so much skin diseases. My skin is... At least you have your hair. So, what you are complaining about, somebody would like to exchange their own for your own. They want to exchange with you.
[6:40] So, be thankful for the things he has done. Number two. You have to be thankful for him giving you opportunity to even talk to him. That you too can pray.
[6:51] Some time ago, you know you couldn't pray. A time ago, when you see someone who is a serious Christian, you know that as well, you are far from this reality. And today, you too, you can even do evangelism.
[7:04] You can come to church. When we are singing great things he has done, you are also with him. Some of us, we still have the relics of our wasted years. But today, look at you. With even the signs that cannot go on your path, you still are flowing in Jesus.
[7:21] You won't be thankful. So, you have to be thankful for... It says that, come boldly before the throne of grace. That you can come before the throne of grace. Okay. And number three. So, number one is thank him for the things he has done.
[7:34] Number two, thank him for the Christ, the cross and access we have to him. Number three, thank him for the fact that he would answer your prayers. He will answer you.
[7:46] So, you pray and say, Lord, I thank you. I am praying for my health. Thank you for my healing. Do you understand what I am saying? So, you pray and thank him for the answer before the answer shows up.
[7:58] So, these are the three dimensions of transgiving that must be part of your prayer life. Amen Amen
