[0:00] Hallelujah. Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2,! Our Christ Centred Youth Services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.

[0:13] May Jesus Christ reveal Himself to you as you listen. So, who is the devil? It's a spiritual personality. Okay. Everybody say the devil is real.

[0:30] Somebody will say, I don't believe in the existence. No problem. You see, when people say, I don't believe in something, I don't believe. Your not believing does not change the reality. My unbelief doesn't change the reality. Your unbelief, if I see the illustration I've been given, if you see a plane flying and someone tells you, oh, that plane is heading towards Heathrow. And you say, I don't believe it.

[1:00] Does it change the destination? It's irrelevant. So, our unbelief really costs us more when it comes to what God can do in our lives.

[1:15] And saying that I don't believe in the devil doesn't necessarily make you intelligent. It just displays ignorance. Spiritual ignorance. There's a devil. Oh, as for these people, they say devil. It's just their mind. Really?

[1:37] Have you got brains? Have you got brains? Is it not you to your mind? Have you ever seen your brains before? But any theology that suggests or ignores the reality of a devil is not sound theology.

[1:57] It's not sound biblical theology. Bible says that don't give, neither give a place to the devil.

[2:09] That means he's looking for a chance. He's just at large. He's just, he's not too far to step in. He said don't give place to the devil, neither let the sun go down, neither give place to the devil, and don't let the sun go down, and don't give place to the devil.

[2:30] Now, remember, I said the devil is a spiritual personality by evil personality. The next verse says that let him that's tall still no more, but rather let him labor, work.

[2:47] Work is necessary. Let's all say that together. Work is necessary. Say it again. Work is necessary. One of the things that is very debilitating or crippling to destiny is when you live your life for the government to take care of you.

[3:06] Nobody shines in life that way. It's different if your circumstances are so unfortunate, so you need a welfare system, which is a very good system.

[3:23] But some people have made the welfare system. To become their lifestyle. He said let him that stole still no more.

[3:41] Any dodgy means you are using to get money or income. He said stop it. How can you be a Christian and be doing fraud?

[3:58] Stop it! Let him not steal. Steal no more. Steal no more. I think tell somebody, steal no more. Steal no more. But!

[4:09] Instead of stealing work, whatever you are going to get through stealing, work can bring it.

[4:25] But pastor, the kind of money I want, my work cannot bring it. That means it's not your level. Right. Why do you want to own a private jet?

[4:36] For what? You are greedy. You are greedy. You are not living within your means. You are greedy. And that's why you are not content.

[4:50] Godliness with contentment. Not containment. Contentment. Contentment. 1 Timothy chapter 6 verse 5. Godliness with contentment is great gain.

[5:03] Hebrews chapter 13 verse 5. Let your heart be without covetousness. The fact that you see somebody's shoe, I want it. You see somebody's house, I want it. You see that, I want it.

[5:14] That's where greed. How greed manifests. And that's where problems come from. 1 Timothy chapter 6 verse 10 or verse 9. It says that, it says, but they, that will be rich.

[5:26] It doesn't mean it's wrong to be rich. But this, when you set your target, I have to make money at all costs. It said, you see, those who will be rich, be rich, fall into temptations.

[5:37] Not only temptation, you fall into a snare. Snair is a trap. A trap. Temptation is something that you are supposed to stay away from.

[5:48] But there is an appeal inside you for it. So, Satan uses temptations to block us and interfere with our work with God. To make us sin. So, it says, lead us not into temptation.

[5:59] Matthew chapter 6. So, temptation. A snare is a trap that is tailor-made for you. A snare. Set up. They trapped you. And you fell into it.

[6:10] It says, if you want to be rich, you fall into temptation. Not only temptation. And traps. Set snares. Not only that. And into many foolish. Later, you think, how did I end up in this thing?

[6:24] You can later realize that that was very stupid for me to have even thought that this guy who can't afford his own rent. He said, he's telling me he's the sole dealer of Mercedes-Benz.

[6:38] And I believed. And I gave him the money because he's going to sell me a very expensive car, 20% of the price. Some of you have bought stones thinking it was laptop in a box.

[6:55] So, if you want. He said, if you target an all you're living. Even if you are a businessman. You are a lawyer. You are a pastor.

[7:06] You are a doctor. You are a professional. You are a builder. Builders are bad. When they, all they want is money. They will do your roof for you and go.

[7:17] And after a year, the whole house will be leaking. And they go. They don't have, Bible says a good name is better than riches. Ecclesiastes.

[7:29] I think 722 Proverbs. It's in Ecclesiastes Proverbs. He said, a good name is in Proverbs 2. A good name is to be chosen. 22. A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.

[7:46] He says, what does it profit a man? If he gains the whole wealth. And it's your soul. Many people have compromised the health of their family in chasing for excess money.

[7:58] Running after excess money. They don't, their children don't even know them. Their marriages are, many marriages that are breaking down in the West is because of money. People are racing after money.

[8:11] Racing. They don't even know when to say, no, I'm not working today. They are living for money. My biggest dream.

[8:24] It shouldn't ever be for you a Christian that your biggest dream is to have so much money. A Christian's biggest dream. How can that be your biggest dream? Are you blind?

[8:35] We don't live for this natural world. Our greatest aspiration is when Jesus comes. When I meet you. I fought a good fight.

[8:46] I've kept that faith. I've finished my course. That should be your motivation in life. Because one day, we must all appear. 2 Corinthians 5, verse 10.

[9:00] We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ. Your motivation as a believer is not what people say about you. It's not what you are getting now.

[9:11] But it's when you meet Jesus and the reward from above. He said, behold, I come quickly. I'm not coming empty-handed. He said, Jesus, when I'm coming, I'm not coming empty-handed.

[9:24] I'm coming with a package. Not for everybody, but for some people. And even that there will be levels based on your labors. Based on your sacrifices.

[9:37] Based on your genuineness. The genuineness of your work with him. Seek ye first the kingdom of God.

[9:47] And all these things. Listen, God knows you need them. God knows when you want them. And when you should have them. He said, if you can get your priorities right. Christian brother.

[10:01] Christian sister. Christian wife. Christian husband. Christian mother. Christian father. I'm not talking for the world. I'm talking for the Christian.

[10:12] Get your priorities right. Get your priorities right. God. God. Should be your ultimate. Please sit down.

[10:24] Thank you, Jesus. So. Riches. Jesus. Jesus put it this way. It's very, very interesting.

[10:35] Ah. He said, beware of covetous. Luke chapter 12. From verse 15. 15. Jesus said, beware. And he said unto them.

[10:49] Take heed. And beware of. Let's all say beware of covetousness. Beware of covetousness. Stealing is. The foundation of stealing. Most of the time is covetousness.

[11:01] Something you don't have. You want. Yes. Yeah. Something you haven't worked for. You want to live for.

[11:12] Or live in. You haven't worked for it. That's where gambling also comes in. Gambling is not working. It's not working.

[11:28] Gambling is not working. And don't be so naive. And so childish. Thinking that you know. One day my luck. If you live based on chances.

[11:39] You will be relegated to the back side of the desert of life. Don't live based on chances. You have to know what you are going for. Plan your life. Life will give you what you put in.

[11:52] You have to plan your life. You have to know. That is why. If. If. Reward. Answers to work. Work. The kind of work you do.

[12:03] Based on who you are. Based on your qualification. Based on your training. That's determining. The kind of. Money people will give you. You'll be paid for. There are some.

[12:14] People who are in the medical field. Their one day pay. Is like somebody's three months. Or. ESP. ESP. One day.

[12:28] It's like someone's three months. Why? It's not because he's a better human being. But because. Of how. The training he has given himself to. Training. That's why.

[12:39] God. Does not do your job. For you. So he will write your exam. For you. And so then. If you have exam. Common sense tells you.

[12:50] People who pass exam. Are people who prepare for the exam. You won't prepare for exam. And you won't go to do the preparation for you. You are sounding like someone. Who doesn't believe Satan exists.

[13:05] Are you getting what I'm saying? No. Don't fail exam. It's not nice. And it doesn't give you. Peace. And it has something. Deflates your confidence.

[13:15] And pride. Stop failing exam. Pastor. I'm just. You are good. It's just that. You have convinced yourself. That you are not good. And potentially. You are very. Lazy.

[13:28] Lazy. Lazy. You love your sleep. And your priorities are all over the place. Instead of studying. You are playing video games. PlayStation 5.

[13:40] Yes. You must know. There are times. You have to stop the PlayStation. And start preparing for your. Life. Other than that. Your life will be very harsh.

[13:53] Because you can't steal. So you see. You are a Christian. You can't steal. You shouldn't steal. And you won't steal. But you need the money.

[14:04] So you need to work. But because you didn't prepare for work. Life is working you. You have to prepare. You have to prepare to work.

[14:16] Those who don't work. Don't have worth. There is dignity in labor. Dignity in working. Even Jesus.

[14:27] He's God. In the flesh. He even said. Me. I have to work. Well. It's his day. Even when God came on earth. He worked. You. Don't like work. Then you are like the devil.

[14:38] Because if God likes working. If God likes working. And you don't like working. Then you are not like God. Jesus said. In John chapter 5. Verse 19. My father worketh. He that to I work.

[14:52] Verse 17. He said 17. Yeah. 17. Jesus said. My father worketh. He that to. Give us. New King James. My father has been working. Until now.

[15:03] When Bible said. He created. Finished creating man. And rested. No. He's still working. In his rest. Wow. Has been working. Work. There is dignity.

[15:15] In work. There is dignity. In studying. And passing exam. Oh. It makes you feel so good. How many of you have passed exam before? Yeah.

[15:27] Recently. I was teaching some pastors. And I taught them something. In our camp. At our camp. It was a blessing to me. Our pastors. And ministers. I taught them something. That.

[15:39] If. You are. Let me move away from here. Before I say it. If. If you are gaining. Weight. If you are.

[15:55] Watch this. Some of you don't know. What I'm about to say. But it's very profound. If you are gaining weight. More and more. It's a sign.

[16:06] That you are. Not in a good spiritual shape. Wow. The discipline. It requires.

[16:16] To engage. Privately. You know. To keep. Your diet. And all. It requires some. Discipline. And it's very private. People will not even notice.

[16:27] How much you are quaffing. You are consuming. I hear. I hear. I hear. I hear. Some people. When they go for buffet. They. They. Their food. It's like.

[16:37] You can't. See them. Behind the food. Their food. Is like. A mountain. Your level of discipline.

[16:49] Is what will make you. So when I say. I have not been going to the gym. I want to go to the gym. I haven't been able to go. It tells you. There's a correlation between. That. And.

[16:59] The discipline. In reading the Bible. The way you should. And praying. The way you should. Did you understand that? Yeah. Because. The way.

[17:10] You do your work. Is how. You work. Yeah. What you have been doing. Is what you'll be doing. Before I go back. To the text. Please.

[17:21] I beg you. Try and put some. Discipline in your life. To study. Those of you. Are studying. Because if you don't. Study hard. Your life. Will not be steady. Listen.

[17:33] The older you grow. The more you realize. That. Life is not just like. A walk on the back. You know. The older you grow. The more you realize. There are. A lot of realities.

[17:44] In life. I didn't foresee. So. Some of you. You live with your parents. This is the time. You can work hard. Like.

[17:54] Your education. So. You might not be doing. Work. Where you get your pay. But your work. Is your studies. Ephesians 4.28. Let him. That's still.

[18:06] Still no more. But rather. Let him labor. Working with his hands. The things which are. The thing which is good. That he might have some. To give to others. So.

[18:17] He said. Work. With your hands. Now. If you are not working. You are not employed. And you are studying. Your academics. Is your work. Work. That is why. People who usually.

[18:29] Who are able to. Feather their education. Tend to get. Better jobs. Why? Because. They have developed. The discipline. Of working. Most people.

[18:40] Don't realize that. So. The. Kind. Of course. You do. The. Will determine. The kind of. Rigor. The kind of. Discipline. You have been able to.

[18:51] Get yourself. To. Acclimatized. That's why. You can go. And study. Music. In Oxford. But you can get. A job. In the bank. You studied.

[19:03] Music. In Cambridge. But you got. A job. In the bank. Barclays Bank. HSBC. Or somewhere. Top. Lead. Management. Why? Because. The discipline.

[19:14] Required. You already have. Developed. That. Internal. Ability. Through the. Rigor. Of your. Steady's. Did you. Understand. What I'm saying. Yeah.

[19:25] That is why. When you are not. Even highly educated. And you are not. Giving yourself. To study. It affects you. If you become a pastor. You do your. Work lazily.

[19:36] The way you do your work. Is how you work. Hey. Someone. Let me. Something. Those of you. Who are so good. At failing exams. Not everybody.

[19:49] Who will go to. Investing route. Some might go to. Apprenticeship. But. You have to give yourself. To discipline. Some of you. Didn't know better. Because of the background. You grew up in. So it's not your fault.

[20:00] But thank God. For church. Thank God. Where you are today. Is not where you will be tomorrow. Your location.

[20:11] Is not your destination. As long as you can get up. You can get up. Do something. You have to take the responsibility. Take the reins of your future.

[20:22] Don't wait for. Oh my uncle said he will help me. And my man. My dad was not there. Excuse me. There are people whose dad was not. Not just there. He was fighting. The dad was fighting against them. but they are still making it.

[20:34] So you don't have an excuse. Stop using excuses because no one can take medication for you. You have to swallow your own tablets and pills. The point I'm making is, you have to take responsibility to push yourself.

[20:49] The world is ruled by tired men. The world is ruled by tired men. You think if I was living a very cozy life, I would be standing here.

[21:03] No, I live a very hard life. But I thank God for my background because harshness looks normal to me. Many, many years.

[21:15] What's holiday? Please, let's work. We're working. Working. The Americans said you burn out. What's burnout? We're working. We never burn out. We're going. Let's go. Let's go. So it's that philosophy.

[21:26] I don't think anniversary. I think attainment and achievement, accomplishment. Accomplishment. Accomplishment. Once one thing is finished, I'm thinking on the next thing. The next thing. The next thing.

[21:36] Relaxing in life. No. There's a place for that. There's a, even Jesus was going for feasting. So there's a place for that. But what I'm telling you is that naturally, I'm not saying that.

[21:49] So party, party, celebration. I'm not saying it's wrong because there's a place for that. If you live your life thinking, always enjoyment. I want this. I want that.

[22:00] I want this. I want. You end up being very unhappy easily. Because that your appetite is bigger than your work, your work culture. So it doesn't matter.

[22:11] You can be talented. But if you don't have the culture of work, hard work, you will be nobody. Because life thrives on hard work.

[22:25] Let him labor. I like the fact that King James didn't use the word let him work. Labor. Labor is pushing yourself.

[22:35] Welcome, pastor. Pushing yourself. Sit down, please. Labor. Many have been compromised. Don't like work.

[22:46] Nobody really works in your family. And you've grown up like that. And you think that life is run by Santa Claus.

[23:00] You'll be endlessly unhappy. And yet you have a big appetite for widescreen transparent TVs. Big TV. I don't understand.

[23:14] You want to live a certain life. But you don't want to live, do the work that life requires. You want the benefits that the work you don't want to do brings.

[23:26] That's why you are using chat GPT to do your exam. You don't want to put in the work.

[23:43] You don't want to put in the work. You want cheap lifestyle. You want cheap success. Cheap success. Cheap success. Yes. Yes. they give you assignment and you know you are stealing let him die steal no more stop stealing plagiarism you use plagiarism to do your assignment and now you've been caught you are coming for prayer you see what I'm talking about you see the problem we are dealing with you see the problem we are dealing with robbing Peter to pay Paul you see your left hand to steal to pay to reward your right hand no ok do you think God will answer my prayer for that one because he has told us already let him die steal stop stealing you don't want to sit down to do the work that's a problem and increasingly many young people in this generation don't like work they don't like work they like fame they like everybody to see them they don't know how to hide and build in quietness build in quietness develop yourself privately the world will know about you but they don't want it you have turned yourself into a vlogger self-made influencer who are you going to influence?

[25:26] you what have you got? what are you got? is it wrong to be an influencer? well I don't know I want to be an influencer for Jesus but the point I'm making is focus on developing yourself not your views focus on developing yourself most of us are targeting followers but you are not going anywhere yes you don't have anywhere going but you want followers think about that because to follow there must be movement why would you follow someone who is not moving?

[26:10] let him who stole steal no more but rather let him labor working with his hands not somebody's hands your own hands Paul said you know that these my hands have taken care of me working with his hands is someone getting something at all?

[26:41] working with his hands the thing which is good some things are good to work with your hands some things are also not good don't do it and you are giving Satan a food store because already demons have been assigned to fight people from your background so you have a specialist demon assigned to you for your downfall and you are in Christ don't give him a food store labor working with your hands your own hands work with your hands that which is good wow that he may have to give him that do you see that?

[27:23] so how many of you know that when you give to somebody you help somebody somebody's in need and you give it makes you feel so good there is honor in giving there's honor there's dignity in labor and there's honor in giving when you give for some reason it makes you feel because we make a living by what we earn we make life by what we give when you are giving to somebody you are helping somebody and you feel there's more fulfillment in giving but how can you give when you don't have how can you help somebody when you yourself you are choking so on the in the in the plane they said when there's oxygen goes low and then they supply even if you are with a baby do your own first put the mask the oxygen mask on your nose first before you can help others if you are suffocating how can you help others who are suffocating so you labor and as a Christian you must always think of how can I also be a blessing to others all your money is not meant for your dressing or shoes or food some of the money must be to bless others must be to honor others must be to to for your relaxation some must be for investment and some must be for spending you know and pastor even the one that comes before it gets to my account everything is finished but you must know as you because this is not where you always stay oh no you think that your enemy will not be deceived this is not where you always be it's just just a journey and it's good to be prepared for where you are going where you are going when earnings come in don't blow it all on shopping your father might not need your money but it is in your interest you say father this is something

[29:45] I just want to honor you I want to buy this for you I want to give this to you let him see how much you think about him he might not even have much to give you but that heart you cause in him will become a blessing for you it's good to also look for somebody you can always help when you earn money think about how can I also be of help even if it is 10 pounds to give to somebody I know this person is in need you have to think about that you also have to think about when you earn money you have to think about God's work in committing yourself to God's way there is a blessing it is more blessed to give than to receive Acts chapter 20 verse 35 Jesus said himself it is more blessed blessed you want to be blessed there is more blessing in giving tell somebody there is more blessing in giving say it again there is more blessing in giving alright let's move to the next verse verse 29 let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth bad language

[30:59] I'm not teaching morals I'm just teaching scripture bad language oh look the scripture I just quoted before there is something there I just even noticed it Acts 20 35 I've shown you all this how that so laboring you ought to support the week did you see that I didn't even realize that that's laboring it's a labor so you can support others why because and remember and remember the words of our Lord Jesus how it is more blessed to give to others so you are laboring to support others to help others wow if you are greedy how can you do this but the next verse as I went on is that let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth corrupt there means rotten let's slow other translations and see

[32:13] New K. James said let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth but what is good for necessary edification that it may impact grace to the hearers wow he's speaking your language is impacting grace to people who are hearing that's nice New American Standard Version let no unwholesome words proceed from your mouth unwholesome so New American Standard English Standard Versus corrupting talk corrupting talk alright in New International Version the New Living Translation New International Version says do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth New Living Translation that's getting interesting don't use foul or abusive language sometimes you wonder whether Christians have been reading their Bible because even reading there I realize okay you have to be careful that way it's used sometimes you may forget to read it and

[33:15] Holy Spirit is there it's there don't use foul or abusive language message watch the way you talk tell somebody that one is very soft tell somebody can't imagine this is for Christians so let nothing nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth so that means that there are things that you are speaking that are foul the emoji for it is the emoji green thing coming let nothing foul or dirty i think about it so there are dirty things in your mouth coming out of it and Jesus said it's not what enters you that defiles you but what comes out of you he said it is not what enters a man that defiles him but what is coming out in Mark 7 15 or

[34:16] Matthew 11 as well so he says that nothing which goes into the mouth defiles a man but that which comes out of the mouth this defiles the man this defiles a man this defiles a man something that is coming out of you is contaminating your destiny your words are very powerful you know your words can make your destiny very dirty when you watch football there's something called foul what's that but illegitimate challenge and approach so foul they have to stop and they can give you a card red card some of you the thing you are saying has given your destiny a red card you been sent off the field already foul you had a beautiful destiny still you started talking foul language it has polluted the beauty of your future he said don't let foul talk king james new king james let's stay on new king james don't let let no corrupt!

[35:37] word proceed out of your mind okay let's think about it corrupt word what's the meaning of that word that is corrupt okay what does it corrupt let's see english and live version corrupting that sounds better so it has the propensity to corrupt wherever it's going okay if it's corrupting word who does it corrupt is it the speaker or the hearers who does it if you pass bad gas who smells who smells their who smells their foulness whoever including him including yourself the only thing that sometimes doesn't affect you is bad breath by corrupting talk a talk that corrupts you and a corrupt others a corrupt others don't let corrupting talk it will corrupt that means that something that was going to go well has been corrupted has been affected a corrupt word proceeded out of your mouth and it has corrupted your ministry it has corrupted your friendship it has corrupted your hearers they were doing so well until they started listening to you she was doing well that girl was doing well she got in all this bitterness and fornication till she befriended you and your corrupting talk has sent her back and further back some people who are online attacking churches they are so full of corruption their lives are corrupted and they spew up corruption corruption corruption people who listen to them never do well in their work of

[37:35] Christ do statistical examination and check check statistics people who listen to foul mouth people online every time they have something to say about a church about when the blind leaves the blind they both fall into a church let's not corrupting talk proceed come out of your mouth your mouth you used to speak in tongues in tongues it says the same mouth we the tongue we use to bless God we are using to curse others how can bad water and good water come from the same well James chapter 3 out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing my brothers my brethren these things ought not to be so sometimes your friends are talking about some things but you can't talk about it what do you think

[38:37] I can't talk about this kind of why I speak in tongues I speak in tongues I speak in tongues so I don't why I speak in tongues don't tell them yours is fake that's why tell them don't tell them but say in your head yours is fake because if it is not fake you can't use both said how can good water and bad water come out from one well am I teaching a talk does give me you does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter water are the same opening it's either fresh or bitter so that's why he said

[39:38] I want to keep my tongues fresh so I can't mix it with gossip I can't mix it with foul talk don't forget where the motivation of this message is coming from talking about how Jesus has saved us and now we should walk the walk worthy of our calling how we shouldn't be like the unbelievers in the gentiles in the fertility of their thinking but because we have also learned Christ and he said that we should be changed in the renew of our minds then he begins to practically tell us how we should live by telling us that we shouldn't let the sun go down of our anger we shouldn't give the devil a place then he says that if you still don't let him still no more but labor to have something to give to others let not corrupt talk foul language come out of your mouth why I'm a Christian I can't say that it's so nice for people your family they say some things maybe at a party

[40:40] I can't say that why you know I don't do this kind of things I don't say this kind but it doesn't matter even that bishop was saying it I don't know what kind of Christian the person is but mine I know I can't do that they know it they just want to check how authentic you are they know it so opportunities come to check your quality and if you are taken by surprise and you say things you shouldn't say redraw it or repent you have to repent and redraw it I won't say that again I won't say that again I know I shouldn't have said that but anyway Lord help me praise the Lord somebody learning something it's important it's important so he says that let no corrupt words proceed out of your mouth but that which is good that which proceed out of your mouth but what is good for necessary edification is building you are building people what comes out of math when people listen to you they are built they are built built the Bible says that he that prophesies speaks in tongues builds himself but he will prophesy prophesy to speak for the word of

[42:09] God in that context 1 Corinthians chapter 14 verse 3 and 4 verse 4 particularly that context is talking about speaking forth God's word it says that he who speaks in tongues builds himself but he who prophesies builds the church so he said I prefer that you speak in tongues but rather I would like you to speak in tongues but rather that you prophesy can you imagine look at verse 3 but he who prophesies speaks edification exhortation and comfort to men the next verse verse 4 he who speaks in tongues edifies himself but he who prophesies edifies the church so tongues is very selfish it's not bad but it's just you now you have to learn how to know I prophesy to you that's not what I'm talking about let the word of God flow out of you when Bible use the word prophesy in here it's not like I prophesy that no as you speak the churches people are being encouraged you're strengthening the church when they listen to you as you communicate with them you don't need a puppet for that this kind of prophecy doesn't require a puppet it says that he who prophesies edifies the church look at the next verse verse 5

[43:24] I wish you all speak with tongues but even more that you prophesy do you see that even more that you prophesied for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues unless indeed he interprets that the church may receive building up you see the purpose of prophecy so this prophecy is not talking about standing in the pulpit and declaring so some of you that's what you say pastor I have to declare I have to declare no no that is for church leadership and a bigger assignment you don't wait if you are waiting to get to the pulpit before you start prophesying you will never be great in the Lord but wherever you are you take your point yourself that you load yourself with bullets of God's word load yourself and it's processed in your heart when you speak it comes alive some people when they open the

[44:26] Bible doesn't go reading quotations to people the Bible doesn't talk like that it has to be alive in you you have received have you noticed that most of the things I'm saying I'm just talking it can't be church GPT pastors who use AI for their preaching they don't have life it doesn't have life it might not be bad you might have something to say but it doesn't have life because for it to have life it must go inside you and be processed in you it must be living in you and then it's burning your heart before it burns others hearts that's what we're talking about prophesying because what makes me excited is not your presence it's the presence of the word in my sense something is inside me and the thing is working me it's working me it's working me it's burning in my heart that's and so for you to prophesy to others you must get the word inside the ear get it assimilate it listen to preaching read your

[45:38] Bible listen to preaching read your Bible listen to preaching read your Bible listen to preaching read your Bible read your Bible don't read because you are going to preach it's necessary to read when you are going to preach but sometimes when you're a church leader, it gets to a place where you only read to feed.

[46:02] To feed others. Or, you're a chef. You only get to eat when you are cooking for others. You only get to cook and eat.

[46:14] Whilst you're cooking in the meal, you're eating some. It's not bad in itself, but that's not the best way. There must be time you are not, you are just feeding. Basking in God's word.

[46:27] Ah, I love your word. And I have this unpolished behavior. Doesn't matter where I am.

[46:39] Sometimes I'm reading the Bible and something hits my spirit. I'll scream. This morning, when I was getting ready to come to the main service, I told Minister Corby, read us the, he read it. Oh, this thing is doing so.

[46:53] So before I came, I'm already boiling. Wow. With the word of God. Prophesy. Instead of corrupting, talk.

[47:04] See what he said. Put you on the screen again. No, please. No, this one. Ephesians chapter 4, verse 29. It says that, let's all read it out of the screen.

[47:18] Let's go. Let's go. When people hear you, you impact grace to them.

[47:33] You. Yeah, you. This is not a message for preachers. It's a message for Christians. They don't have to be Christians to catch grace when you speak. When you speak, you set God at work in their lives.

[47:51] Colossians chapter 4, verse 6. It said, let your words be seasoned with salt. Let your speech always be with grace. Season with salt. Let your speech always be with grace.

[48:04] Season with salt. That he may know how you ought to answer. Everyone. Always. Always. Your speech is with grace.

[48:15] Grace. Grace. And truth. So in the verse 22, we heard the truth. Verse 21, it said, the truth is in Jesus.

[48:28] The way you can live the Christian life, the key and core elements are grace and truth. If indeed you have heard him and have been taught by him, ask the truth.

[48:41] The reality is in Jesus. Then grace is God at work. So suddenly you begin to realize that grace and truth are core elements in a genuine Christian life.

[48:55] Grace and truth. John chapter 1, verse 17. Did you see that? Let's read it out loud. Let's go. One more time, please.

[49:09] The law was given through Moses, but grace and truth. Grace and truth.

[49:21] Verse 21, verse 24, verse 29. You can see clearly the workings of grace. I mean, Ephesians chapter 4, verse 21, verse 24, and verse 29.

[49:36] What does 24 say? And that you put on the new man which is created according to God in true righteousness and holiness. Truth.

[49:47] Then 29, introduce us to grace. It's very interesting to understand, to notice that. I missed two texts that I have to give you before I move on.

[49:58] Ephesians chapter 5, verse 4, talking about the corrupt stuff. Let's already have. Let's go. These things should not come out of your mouth.

[50:20] Filthiness. Foolish talking. There are some talking that are foolish talking that a Christian should not produce.

[50:32] Colossians 3, 8. Let's read, let's go. But now you need yourselves out of your mouth. And I know a prayer. My list, blasphemy, filthy, and rich, out of your mouth.

[50:46] I don't know if you have thought about this. I want to ask you a frank question. I'm wondering if you have thought about this. Because when I see these things, these are the thoughts that come to my mind.

[50:56] Why is it that Christians are not reading their Bible? Because it's there. I don't know how you can generally be reading Bible and not see these things.

[51:09] And for many people, these things are not part of their Christian life. It's not bad. It's not part of their Christian life. These things are just for the creation in the Bible.

[51:20] It's not meant to be lived. That's what some people think. But if you read your Bible very well, it says that by now you yourself put off. Holy Ghost will not do it for you.

[51:31] It says you yourself put off all this. anger, wrath, malice, wickedness, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.

[51:45] Wow. It says so let no corrupt talk come out of your mouth, but that which, Ephesians chapter 4, verse 29, corrupt talk out of your mouth, but what is good?

[51:57] Let's just shoot for edification. Let's use American standard version and English standard version. Let me show you something quickly. Let no wholesome word proceed out of your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need at the moment.

[52:14] All right. Let's go to English standard version. It says that, wow. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouth, but only such as is good for what?

[52:28] I told you. You are building about this. Good for building us. As fits the occasion. It's right to say this at this time. Some things you can't say at some times.

[52:40] Other times it might be right to say. It's for the purpose of building. You have to pray that God, anytime I speak, use my words to build other people up. That means that you must be very intentional with your words.

[52:54] You must be intentional with your words. What you say and what you don't say. You must be intentional about it. Say amen. Amen. Let me add this briefly.

[53:07] building. I didn't give you a statement. Romans chapter 14, verse 19. Mutual edification. New American standard version.

[53:21] For peace and building up of one another. So let's, so then, we pursue the things which make for peace.

[53:35] How I wish a lot of Christians and church workers would hear this thing. The things you are going around telling others about this sister, about this brother. What way is it going to make for peace? Gossip is talking about something you are not part of, you are not part of the problem.

[53:51] You are also not part of the solution. There are some things you don't need to say to somebody because it will, it will ruin somebody's reputation.

[54:04] And the scripture prohibits us from that slanderous talk. But the point is, stop saying things about people which others don't need to know. Yeah.

[54:17] Because of that, let's go to the next verse. Verse 30. It says that, and do, ah, please, please, do me a favor.

[54:30] The word of God, can we all read it together? Is it okay? All right, let's read it. Let's go. Let's go. And you come, be the Holy Spirit of God. I give you a seal for the day of redemption.

[54:43] Remember, in the verse 27, the devil was mentioned. In the verse 30, the Holy Spirit is mentioned. Two personalities.

[54:56] That's why I spoke about the devil. That is real. The Holy Spirit is real. You are either under the influence of the devil or influence of the Holy Spirit. He said, do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.

[55:12] You can grieve God for real. As that is the 310. Let's read here. Let's go. What they were about and grieve the Holy Spirit. Wow.

[55:27] Hey. God decided to do a U10. He was going with them. And then they grieved the Holy Spirit, so he decided to rather be their enemy and fought against them.

[55:43] Oh, is that not what they say? What they say? They rebelled and grieved. Grieving the Holy Spirit is a serious matter. I think Psalm 78, verse 40.

[55:54] Psalm 78. Is there a verse 40? There's a 40. How often they provoked him in the wilderness. One of the, English Standard Version.

[56:05] I think one of the translations say, they grieved him in the wilderness. Okay. English Standard Version says, how often they rebelled against him in the wilderness and grieved him in the desert.

[56:18] King James, back to King James. They, they, yeah, it's also used the word grieve. And grieved him in the, they grieved God.

[56:30] You can be a Christian and you're grieving God. 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 19.

[56:42] Don't quench the spirit. There's a way you can block the spirit from having free flow.

[56:55] Don't grieve God. Tell somebody, don't grieve God. Don't grieve God. Tell another person, don't grieve the Lord. Don't grieve God. Don't grieve God. So you can tell that you either please the devil and grieve the Holy Spirit or walk with the spirit and not give Satan a full stone.

[57:18] Don't grieve the Holy Spirit. If you want God to use you mightily, if you want God to use you mightily, you must always practice, determine that I'll practice the presence of God and I'll work with the spirit so I don't grieve the spirit.

[57:34] I don't want to grieve the Holy Spirit. I don't want to grieve the Holy Spirit. The things you are watching, are you not grieving him? The things you are saying, are you not grieving him?

[57:51] The things you are thinking. Nowadays, Apostle, I find it so interesting how a lot of people want the Holy Spirit to use them but they are busy grieving him and they don't think he should have a problem with that.

[58:05] the Holy Spirit. Let me do my own thing. And the spirit of God is a person. He's grieved. He can be grieved.

[58:16] He says, oh. You know some children say, I'm not happy. Johnny, yes, I'm sad. Johnny, I'm sad. There are these people who don't say I'm sad but you have grieved him.

[58:30] He pulled back. He pulled back. He said, oh, how? Pull back. And you will not, people will not know. Especially those of you who are doing God's work.

[58:42] You can be singing in the choir but you've grieved the Holy Spirit. People are sad going, ah, I can be preaching. People say, wow, revelation. Oh, but I've grieved him before I came.

[58:53] Moses, God spoke to you. What told Moses? Can you speak to the rock? Moses went and struck the rock. And what happened? The water was coming. People say, go Moses, go Mo, go Mo.

[59:05] You've done it again. Moses has done it again. Oh, ah, you are the best. Happy Father's Day, Moses. Happy Father's Day. I love you, Moses.

[59:15] We will honor you. But he's grieved God. You wouldn't know. God won't tell you. But it's between him and God. He's grieved God. God said, Moses, because of what you have done, come, you will not go to the promised land.

[59:29] His destiny was, he was grieved. He grieved God. No one knew it. So they thought, Moses' time has come. God has called him.

[59:40] No, that wasn't the original plan. They're grieving. God was about to give you a very good marriage. Until this guy came into your life, you ate him and he left with bones.

[59:54] Yeah. And then you're quoting, can these dry bones leave? Son of man. But the relationship didn't work anyway because people who meet each other in church and they mess up, it doesn't usually work.

[60:13] else is a suicide mission. Wow. It didn't work. And now, eventually, you have, you're repenting, you are busy, serious. God will give you somebody, but not what he planned to give you because you knew you shouldn't have.

[60:27] Not that, you know, we can all fall into temptation, but there are times where you know that I can, I can say no. I can help by saying, ah, because of that lady. Because of that, I will do it.

[60:38] Ah! And the spirit of God withdraws. Some people, it's the beginning of the crash of destiny.

[60:50] It's a don't, grieve the spirit. We grieve the spirit in times where nobody will know. People will not know, but destiny will always show. People will not know because nobody was there with you.

[61:04] What you are thinking right now in your head, nobody's there. Some people, you are sitting here and you are blaspheming. All this God thing, all this God thing, nonsense. I'm not interested.

[61:16] All this God thing. I've been in church, I'm living in the ashes, but I know, I can be bothered. You are blaspheming. Nobody knows. Nobody will know. How will someone know what you are thinking? How will someone know what you are thinking?

[61:28] The things God is telling you to do, you are not doing. How will somebody know? Even if you are a twin, your twin brother will not know because God is so internal. It's so private, but you are the one who bear the brand because you know you haven't done it.

[61:45] People are clapping for you. They think you've done well. Like God speaks to my heart to give you, let's say, to give you 10,000. God blessed me with 100,000 and said, give Adi 10,000 because he needs it for that business.

[61:58] God, I feel God was there and then I call Adi. Adi, you know you're a good guy. Take 6,000. He's rolling on the floor. Thank you. Thank you. He goes, bring his father, his mother, his relatives, his wife, future wife and the future children who are here to be born.

[62:13] All of them say, we thank you. They are really. And then everybody's clapping for me and I know, but I have grieved God. I've grieved God. You didn't do what God told you to do. People are clapping for you, but God is grieved and you've compromised.

[62:28] It's easy to grieve God, but you can't say, I don't know. Stop behaving like a religious fanatic. I don't want to step on an answer.

[62:39] I don't want to grieve God. I don't want to offend God. So now you don't even know how to live because you're always afraid. That's religious harassment. Just be yourself.

[62:50] And when God speaks to you, you know he's talking to you. You will know. I feel this water. When you, the closer you get to God, you always know something to do. He gives you a to do and you have to work with the list.

[63:08] Else you are grieving him and nobody will know. But the future will tell. When you grieve God, he withdraws. He said, do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God by whom you have been sealed for the day of redemption.

[63:24] He's there not to take from you. He's there to give to you. Hmm. Today is a very interesting moment.

[63:36] My, what is on my mind is, but this is in the Bible. Many Christians who claim to be I'm a strong Christian. You don't see traces of these things in their lives.

[63:49] Some of them, you can live with them and it's like this thing is never recorded anywhere. No, there must be a sense of pursuit of God that you are striving to live it.

[64:01] maybe you are not there, but somebody around you can tell. You are striving to live in a, in obedience to the scripture. You are striving to live the scriptures.

[64:12] But I know too many Christians that this thing does never exist. You can be around them and it's like, they don't, that's what, one day I was studying my Bible and I've said, so these things are in the Bible.

[64:24] And most of them, many of my pastor friends, they, they fight, they insult others. So that pastor is a stupid man. Don't move. I don't talk to him. And I'm wondering, but don't they read the Bible at all? I'm wondering.

[64:35] Sometimes me Christians in church and they are fighting that I don't talk to that lady. No, no, I don't talk, I will never forgive her. And you are wondering, does this person even read the Bible and give regard to what the scriptures say or they are, a practical atheist?

[64:51] But a theoretical believer doesn't believe in God's word. Doesn't release, receive God's word. Doesn't embrace God's word. We saw in, in John chapter 14 yesterday and chapter 13 and chapter 14 yesterday, how, if you are of God, you embrace God's word.

[65:09] This one is not preaching for you. I'm just letting the Bible speak. Me, I'm taking this myself. You don't have to take it. Your destiny will show me. I need this.

[65:20] Every one of us need what the word of God is saying. It's not to tell people, it's to feed on it. But my job as a pastor and my, I strive to do it excellently is to open the Bible for us all to see and to explain what the Bible is saying.

[65:37] So now, to do list has come. Some of you, from now, you must make up your mind you are forgiving somebody. From now, you must make up your mind.

[65:47] All those foul communication on WhatsApp, you are deleting them and you are stopping it. Foul communication. Foul communication. Blah, blah. You have to stop the fraud. The GDP are using chat TPG.

[65:59] All these things, it's there. It's there. Stop stealing that train. Is it bus or train? Pumping train, yeah. Stop doing fraud.

[66:09] Stop doing fraud. Stop the gambling. I'm prophesying.

[66:24] But God is our help. God is with us to help us. Amen. He just doesn't tell us go and do. He tells us and if you are willing, he comes alongside.

[66:35] He's our standby generator. You know, standby power. standby generator. The Holy Spirit is our standby. He's our advocate. He's our help. He's there to support, to help, to strengthen.

[66:48] When we are weak, grace is much more at work. The strength of God manifests on the platform of human weakness.

[67:01] He said, therefore, when I'm weak, I am strong. He said, God's strength is made perfect in my weakness. 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, sorry.

[67:12] 2 Corinthians, chapter 9. God's strength is made, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. The platform for the display of God's strength is in human weakness.

[67:25] So don't raise yourself up because you've been struggling with something. Rather, embrace the word of God which is able to save your soul. receive with meekness. Receive with meekness.

[67:36] Receive with meekness the engrafted word of God which is able to save your soul. You must all strive and push to walk with God.

[67:49] And it's a personal responsibility for everybody. You have to be determined that I will not grieve the spirit. Pastor, so what do I do if I end up grieving the spirit? Just repent and determine you won't grieve him again.

[68:04] But what happens if it happens that I do it again? You shouldn't do it again. And so don't make plans for what happens if you do it again. Don't cover that side.

[68:17] Just leave it. Because you don't intend to do it again. Only talk history. Don't talk, what if I grieve him in future? Would you intend to grieve him?

[68:27] So you will not grieve him. God will help us all. Thank you for choosing to listen to this message by David Entry. We hope you were blessed by it.
