[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry.! Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's Word. May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you.

[0:14] Ephesians chapter 2, and I would want to read from verse 1. And you has he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins, wherein in time past he walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience, among whom also we all had our conversation in time past in the last of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

[0:51] But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love, wherein he loved us, even in the world even when we were dead in sins, had quickened us together with Christ.

[1:04] By grace are ye saved, and has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come, he must show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kingdom towards us, through Christ Jesus.

[1:23] Here is the reading of God's word. Let's pray. Father, we thank you so much for the privilege of me to be here. We pray that open the heavens upon us, and then pour your grace upon us.

[1:36] As we hear your word, let us encounter grace. Let us encounter grace. Let us encounter grace. And let your name be glorified.

[1:47] In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. So this text is a very interesting text. And when you read the chapter 1, it talks about how God has saved us.

[2:08] So chapter 1 talks about how God planned our salvation, and Jesus Christ came to procure our salvation, and the Holy Spirit applies our salvation, verse 13, to the praise of his, the glory of his grace.

[2:25] And it says that we are sealed towards the day of redemption. It says that you have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom, that's talking about the Holy Spirit.

[2:36] Also, after that ye believe, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. So it talks about what God has done, what Jesus has accomplished on the cross, and what the Holy Spirit applies to us.

[2:48] Very important. Then he says to them that I'm now praying for you. Since I heard about your faith and your love, I cease not to make mention of you my prayers. That the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ may grant unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

[3:04] That the eyes of your understanding, being enlightened, ye may know the hope of his calling. And then he talks about the riches of the glory of his inheritance amongst the saints.

[3:15] And then verse 19 says, the power that works towards us who believe. Then he explains what kind of power it is. The kind of power which God exercised. When he raised Christ from the dead and seated him in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers.

[3:33] And gave him to be the head over all things to the church. Which is his body. That's the verse 23. Then he goes into the chapter 2. He said, and you.

[3:44] Say me. Me. Say it again please. Me. And you who were dead. That's bad state. What did you contribute to your salvation?

[3:56] Something. Something. No. Your sin. That's what you brought to the table. What you have got to contribute to your salvation is not your offering.

[4:12] It's not your offering. It's not your suffering. It's not your problems. It's not your niceness. It's not your good intentions. Can a dead man upgrade his behavior? Can a dead man behave better?

[4:28] What was our state? We were dead. It's different from, okay we are trying. No, you can't try. There's no, you can't try much enough to impress God.

[4:41] You can't try. We were dead in our transgressions. So that is the state of everybody who is knowing, anybody who is knowing Christ Jesus. We were dead in our transgressions. And then the verse 2 makes us know that we didn't have, it says that, wherein in the time pass you walk according to the course of this world, according to the praise of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience.

[5:06] We were living a certain way, it's like we are in bondage. It's like we were in bondage. You are not your own. We were in bondage. We couldn't live the life that can please God 100%.

[5:23] Now I want to explain something to you. What I'm about to say is a little bit theological. And when I say theological, it means that like, it's a scholarly formation from the Bible.

[5:34] Okay. Human beings, our state was, we were depraved. Okay. We were depraved, corrupted.

[5:46] It doesn't mean, you know, when, um, sometimes, have you, have you seen apple that has gone bad? Just a bit of it, a little bit of it. You know, you, you might not eat it.

[5:57] Some, some don't mind cutting off the, if you sell apple and little bit of it is one of the apples, would you sell it?

[6:11] It's not, it's not, you know. So when we talk about, watch this very important, when we talk about human beings who were corrupted or were depraved, it doesn't mean every, everything is rotting completely.

[6:25] There are good sides about you. So it doesn't matter how off a person is. Sometimes they are, most times there will be certain one or two good things about them.

[6:37] That is why it is a mistake to compare yourself to somebody else. Now, when we say human beings are depraved, we are not talking about entirely corrupted.

[6:47] But what it means is every aspect of our human life is tainted by sin. It's tainted. So it doesn't matter how good you are.

[6:58] Some way, some way there's something that is, is corrupted by sin. And so that means that there's no hope with God in, with me, in me.

[7:10] Because God is absolutely pure. And I am speckled, spotted with some sin one way or the other.

[7:23] How am I going to enjoy fellowship with God? That's a problem. Do you understand what I'm saying? That's a problem. So, we are tainted and stained with sin.

[7:39] There's no one here who can tell me. That's why Jesus said, he who is without sin, let him start the condemnation process first. Because to be human means you are tainted or stained with sin.

[7:54] So that's what he's describing. You who were dead in your transgressions, has he quickened. Let's really look at it again. And you, has he quickened who were dead in your transgressions and sins.

[8:04] And in times pass, where in the time pass, you walked according to the course of this world. According to the priest, there's a prince of the power of the air. And there is a spirit who is not at work in the people who don't believe Christ and they don't care.

[8:19] It's a spirit at work. There's a spirit at work in unbelievers. No, I don't care. I don't believe in. No, I don't know.

[8:30] Don't take it personal. So, it says that anyone who is in disobedience towards God, there's a spirit at work in you.

[8:42] So, you see now, you used to have some spirit working in you. I know you are very intelligent. You are a very nice person. You are a very good person. But there was a spirit at work in you until you come to Christ.

[8:54] Now, that's that. So, it's like you are enslaved by sin. So, we were in sin. We are enslaved by sin. And look at the next verse. The next verse.

[9:05] Among whom you also had your conversation in times past. In the lust of the flesh. Fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind. And were by nature children of wrath.

[9:16] That is very worrying. By nature, what were we? Children of wrath. By nature, what were we? Children of wrath. Do you understand wrath? When someone has wrath.

[9:28] Anger. And he said, it's not like you are a child full of an angry child. No. You are a... You see, some ladies.

[9:40] They see certain men as an object of wrath. Because that is the man who broke my heart. Impregnated me.

[9:51] Broke my heart. And then went for my friend. I hate him. Every time you hear his name, anger comes into you. That the person has become an object of wrath.

[10:01] Sometimes you are happy and going until you see somebody. Why? Because this person brings you memories. And this person provokes anger in you.

[10:13] Hello? If anyone is not born again, they provoke the anger of God. We were children of wrath.

[10:24] So you see, when we are preaching and just telling people, God loves you. It doesn't matter what you... Yes, God loves us. But he also is very angry with us and our sins.

[10:36] Hello? Now, that begs the question. But why is God angry? Why is he angry? I need to... See, I'm teaching. This is what is called the gospel.

[10:47] And a lot of Christians don't know this. Because they don't understand what it means to be a Christian. Why are you not going around begging people? As if you come to church, you are doing me a favor. Go to hell.

[11:00] Jesus never begged the one on the cross. We have got good news for the sinner. And the good news for the sinner starts by letting the sinner know your sin is sending you to a place you don't want.

[11:16] And you can't do anything about your sin. So. Bible says that we were by nature children of wrath.

[11:28] So we are going to pray to God for blessing. You are already a child of wrath. Romans chapter 1 verse 18. It said, for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven.

[11:40] For the... Shall we all read it? Let's go. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven. Peaceful ungodliness and unrighteousness of heaven. Shh. The wrath of God is not against human beings.

[11:53] But against ungodliness and unrighteousness. Men there is not talking about male. Humanity. It's... Our sins bring the wrath of God.

[12:05] So. It's important to understand that God is angry with sin. But the question is, but why? Why must he be angry with sin?

[12:17] Because he's holy. He's so pure. When he sins, he sees sin. It violates his holiness. Right?

[12:28] Did you get it? It violates his holiness. Because God is holy, sin irritates God. Sin provokes his anger. So I'm telling you, somebody you don't know, your behavior is bringing the anger of God on you.

[12:45] God is very slow in anger. According to James. But it doesn't mean he doesn't get angry. And unfortunately, we don't have anything to measure the anger of God.

[12:57] You know, when you are driving, you have speedometer to measure your speed. You have thermometer to measure temperature. Okay.

[13:08] We don't have anger meter to measure the anger. So that when you do it and you realize that it's getting to a breaking point. So you don't even know when God will get to a breaking point.

[13:24] Yeah. It will get into the red. With this, your behavior that you keep doing. And say, oh God, I will stop one day. And you are building. You are building. You are building. One day to get red.

[13:36] See, when you are driving and you don't have parking sensors. You know, some parking sensors, it starts, Bim. Bim. Bim.

[13:47] Bim. Bim. Bim. Bim. It's just warning you how close you are. But the anger of God doesn't warn you. Bible says, God is slow to anger.

[14:05] Slow. Somebody say slow. Slow. Am I preaching at all? Oh, yeah. So, watch this. He says that we were by nature children of wrath.

[14:18] And I've explained to you why God is angry with sin. Because he's a holy God. Now, watch this. Then, verse 3. Sorry, verse 4.

[14:31] He says that in spite of our condition, but God. Now, we fallen human beings, human beings and sinners, we are on a collision course with the judgment of God, with the wrath of God, and with the holy demands of God.

[14:53] So, God has his holy standard, and we are on a collision course against his holy standard. We are on a collision course against the wrath of God, and we are on a collision course against the punishment of God.

[15:08] Now, if you are not made, can I jump down? If any gospel that doesn't make you aware of the state of man outside of God is not true gospel.

[15:25] Salvation starts with your state. If you are not at a risk, why would you need salvation? If your car is not broken down, why would you need recovery?

[15:37] So, first of all, now, for the doctor to convince you that this medication is important, he has to help you to know that, listen, we have just done a test, and we've realized that ABC has built up in your lungs.

[15:53] You don't know, but it has built up. So, we want to give you this medication to reduce it. So, before they give you the medication, they will tell you the problem and what the medication is about to do. And then you tell a doctor that if you tell me my problem, you're a wicked man.

[16:08] No, no, no, no. We need to address the problem first. The diagnosis and the risk of not taking the medicine. So, we have to diagnose it before we prescribe.

[16:23] So, everybody who is a true Christian must understand something very importantly. That's why I said I'm teaching something very strong. That's the basis of the gospel.

[16:36] Everybody who is a Christian, to be a genuine Christian, you must first understand the depravity of human nature. Our sinful state, me and you, we were born sinners.

[16:51] It's not like we tried to do good. We were born in a state already. It's like when you have been caught on camera, red-handed. It's not like you are now going to ask the prosecution to prove that.

[17:03] No, there's a tape. You've already been caught and the verdict has been passed already. When you were born, you were already condemned to hell. Because we were born in sin. Then, we came to also sin to add to it.

[17:20] I'm telling you, the one who is not saved, his problem is very bad. You might have money, but I still have a big up. The greatest problem of humanity is how to make it right with God.

[17:33] That's where religion comes from. Religion comes from human's attempt to make it right with God. So, we have created religion, but it doesn't solve the problem.

[17:45] So, he says that we are on a coalition course. Then, he says, but God. Verse 4. But, let everybody say, but God.

[17:57] But God. Say, but God. But God. Anytime you see, but, it's changing the dynamics. Our condition was so negative, but. That is, when we shout hallelujah, that's the basis of our hallelujah.

[18:14] The basis of our hallelujah is the goodness. But God. But God.

[18:25] Somebody say, but God. But God. Say it again. Say, but God. But God. Just so we know what God we are talking about. Let's look at these three characteristics of God. Number one, God is holy.

[18:35] I told you. And so, if God is holy, do you know what it means? Okay, okay, okay. Let's do some analysis here. If God is holy, what does it mean for a sinner?

[18:47] It's not good at all. Because, if God is holy, okay. And you come near God, as a sinner, it makes your situation bad.

[18:59] Right? God is holy. And God is righteous. He's righteous. He's righteous.

[19:10] That's the same. And then, number two is, he's sovereign. Sovereign. Do you know what? When we say somebody is sovereign, do you know what it means? Sovereign is, he has authority to do what he wants to do.

[19:24] So, when we say somebody is sovereign, he has authority to do what he wants to do. I am not sovereign.

[19:35] Even in my speaking, I can't say anything at all I want. I must make sure he's in agreement with God's word. If I'm preaching, you might think, oh, pastor, I can't say anything. No, I can't say anything.

[19:47] If I begin to say certain things, that is not in line with the gospel. If you're a genuine Christian, you begin to feel, hmm, hmm, hmm, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

[20:00] You're even beginning to move away from me. If you're a genuine Christian and somebody is beginning to teach what is not Christianity, something in you switches off.

[20:11] So, I'm not sovereign. God is the only sovereign being. That means, if God said, you are going to heaven, no one can question him.

[20:24] If God said, you are going to hell, no one. If God said, today, like Bible said, somebody foolish, rich man, he had a lot of business. His business was breaking through. He said, ha, ha, ha, now I'm so rich.

[20:35] I will enjoy the rest of my life. God said, foolish boy, tonight you will die. Tonight, your soul will be collected from you. You see, who will enjoy all those Armani shoes? Who will be wearing them?

[20:48] Yeah. And so, God is sovereign. He can choose when anyone can die or when anyone. He's sovereign. So, if God is sovereign and he says, I'm going to punish you, you know, no one can stop him.

[21:02] That's making it a bigger problem. He's holy and he's sovereign. But the third thing about God that makes it very complicated is that he actually punishes sin.

[21:20] God cannot see sin and then say, it doesn't matter. No. With God, sin matters. How are you? With God. Somebody say, sin matters with God.

[21:32] I think you will do well by preaching with me. Look at somebody and tell the person, sin actually matters with God. Did I tell you why God has wrath?

[21:44] I explained it earlier on. Why he's angry at sin. Why? Because of his holiness. So, because of his holy nature, by default, he doesn't like sin. And he always will punish sin.

[21:56] God will always punish sin. God will never spare sin. Why? Because he's so holy. And because God is holy and he will always punish sin.

[22:10] If you are a sinner and God is sovereign, then you are in big problem. Because no one can stop him. He's holy. He's sovereign. And he punishes sin.

[22:22] So, definitely he's coming after your piece of flesh. So, the problem of a sinner is not just your sins. It's God. God is the biggest problem of the sinner.

[22:36] That's bad news. The bad news is a sinner cannot do anything about your sins. It's bad news.

[22:48] How many of you have tried to be very perfect before? And you didn't impress yourself? So, the problem of the sinner is God.

[23:08] But God. Somebody say, but God. But God. So, we were so dead in our sins. And sin has engulfed us. And we have to have a dealing with God.

[23:21] But God. And he says something about God. He says that the God who alone can punish you truly is the only one who can deliver you.

[23:38] Listen. If. I think America has the best army in the world. If American army captures you. You think it's the Nigerian army that can go and deliver you.

[23:51] No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. America, I mean, is so powerful.

[24:03] And God is more powerful. Now, if God said you, I'm going to punish you. Who can deliver you from God? this is the problem we are in sin we are dead in sin and we can't do anything about our sin somebody say bad news but the good news is you don't have to deliver yourself the good news is God is the only one who can deliver you from God so you see when people say Jesus is not God that means no one can deliver us from God because God it must be God to deliver man from God so the problem of my life the problem of a sinner is God

[25:11] God is the bad news for the sinner based on what I have taught may I just ask why do you think God is the bad news for the sinner because he is holy and he is sovereign and he punishes sin so that makes God is my problem God is my problem if God was not there that makes sense when someone says that God does not exist he is trying to try to behave like that he exists so many people are living in delusion and trying to find any scientific means with a polluted heart you know when your heart is polluted your laws will be polluted can I say it again when your heart is polluted your laws the laws you make will be polluted a corrupt judge will come out with corrupt judgment corrupt politicians will make corrupt laws listen if you are a thief say I am not if you are a thief and you are making law will you make a law that will catch thieves no no

[26:42] I get you what I am saying so the problem of the sinner is and the good news is the solution for the sinner is it says God is rich in mercy what does that mean most of us talk about the grace of God the grace of God the grace of God but you can never enjoy the grace of God without the mercy of God first before God can show grace to you mercy must go ahead of you we've been saved singing amazing grace how sweet the sound it's a beautiful song but we also need amazing mercy amazing mercy amazing mercy amazing mercy somebody say amazing mercy amazing mercy when we talk about the mercy of God it's like a cup okay the cup is filled with the wrath of God towards you now for

[27:54] God to bless you he must empty okay listen you are owing the bank and they've taken you to court right and suddenly you've got business idea and you want some funding whilst you go and see the bank manager who likes you what will he tell you let's sort out the debt first the debt because we are sinners we are owing God we can't pay and suddenly you say God bestow more loan on me and more blessing on me no it doesn't start like he had to sort out he had to sort out empty your cup of this impending judgment your cup is filled with the judged deserved judgment and so you deserve a certain type of judgment you and I we deserve a certain type of punishment which is supposed to come to us so mercy means

[29:00] God withhold the punishment and then grace means God now bestow the blessing but before God bestows a blessing on you he has to withhold punishment so mercy is God withholding how many of us know that every sinner needs to be punished by will be punished by God but God can show you mercy do you understand that so God Bible says that God doesn't have mercy he's actually rich he's so rich in mercy there's no amount of debt of sin you have that his riches of mercy cannot cover it's in your Bible God who is rich not in money but in mercy you didn't have anything to contribute to your sin mercy means God pouring out of the glass the punishment deserved and God pouring into the glass the blessings and the favor not deserved so the blessing and favor you don't deserve

[30:09] God is pouring it into your cup that is grace but mercy the punishment you deserve God pouring it out so he's emptying that glass you deserve punishment God is just emptying the glass that's mercy somebody say mercy how many of you think mercy is a good thing mercy and God is so rich in mercy because his motivation is his mercy anything God is going to do for you he's motivated not by your cry he's motivated not by your shouting he's motivated not by your niceness but he's first of all motivated by his own mercy he looks at you and he says no I will help you I see the help of God coming to somebody never be in a time in a state where you never ask God for mercy the problem is if you don't realize how bad your state is you won't realize how much you need mercy so good preaching actually helps you to do self-assessment of your state before God good preaching helps you to feel oh my goodness

[31:27] I need help oh my goodness I'm so dirty don't be comparing yourself to people I'm better than boy you are not that good you know I know you are in church you've been in church but there are things about you the church guys don't know you at all even some of your family members they think church people don't know you yes some of your family members when they argue with you the church they don't know you they don't know you They don't know you.

[32:08] They don't know you. They don't know you. How many of you have heard someone tell you that before? That people don't know you. So, it says, but God, because of the love with which he has loved us.

[32:24] This is so beautiful. Look at the next verse. Even when we were dead in our sins, that tells you that it's only God who did it. The time he did it, tells you that he didn't need your contribution.

[32:41] When did he do it? When we were dead. So, it's not your good works that will impress God before you get saved.

[32:53] Before you get saved, your good works cannot impress God. Because he tells you, the Bible says, his grace, he showed this to us. When we were dead in our sins.

[33:04] Am I preaching at all? Wow. God showed us when we were dead. He says that when we were dead in our sins, he quickened us together with Christ.

[33:19] He quickened us. Do you have a different translation? New King. Okay, NIV. When we were dead in our sins. He made us alive with Christ.

[33:35] When you are a Christian, it's not like the power of resurrection has just worked for you. When Jesus was resurrecting, we resurrected with him.

[33:47] He made us alive. Alive. That's after Jesus died. When he was resurrecting, God was resurrecting Jesus. I was resurrected.

[33:58] So, actually, we are the Easter people. We are the Easter people. We are the people who have tasted resurrection. When we were dead in our sins.

[34:11] He made us alive together with Christ Jesus. And he says, by grace, you have been saved. Somebody say grace. Grace. Say grace. Grace.

[34:22] Three. I wrote here. Three things God made. Okay. Number one. He made us alive together with Christ.

[34:33] Number two. He raised us up with Christ. Number three. He seated us with Christ in heavenly places.

[34:47] Okay. So, number one. What are the three things God did for us? He raised us alive with Christ. So, he made us alive with Christ. Number two. He raised us up with Christ.

[34:59] It's in your Bible. That's verse six. He raised us up together with Christ. And number three. He raised us up with Christ. He made us sit together in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.

[35:11] What was the purpose then? Why would God do that? What is his eternal plan for you who don't deserve his goodness?

[35:22] For you who are dead? Because he's rich in mercy. Showed you mercy. Made you alive in Christ. Raised us up in Christ. And made us sit together in heavenly places with Christ.

[35:35] God must have a plan for doing that then. What is the eternal purpose? What? What? What? What would that? But what does God get?

[35:47] What does he get? What? What's in it for God? What's in it for God? For saving you? What's in it for him? For going that to that extent. Meant.

[35:58] To make you alive. To raise you up. And make you sit in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. What's the purpose? It's in the Bible. Verse 6.

[36:10] He has raised us together. Raised us up together. And made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. You see? Colon.

[36:22] Colon there. And he's coming to blow it up to explain it. He wants to throw a big light. So what is the next? Why is he doing it? So you see that's the purpose of doing that.

[36:34] It's in your Bible. I'm not trying to tell you something different. He said that so that in order that his objective, his eternal, say eternal purpose.

[36:46] Eternal. In eternity. He has a plan. He made us alive. A dead sinner. Who is on a collision course with the judgment of God.

[36:56] But God. Who is rich in mercy. Who alone can save us from himself. God intervened and save us from his wrath. What did he save us from?

[37:09] He saved us from his wrath. So God intervened and delivered us from God. Do you understand that?

[37:20] God had to intervene to deliver us from God. He didn't just save us from our sins. He saved us from God.

[37:32] Because if you fall in the path of God. Boy. You are in deep trouble. That's where Christianity starts from. It's not religion.

[37:43] It's not religion. It's a matter of mercy. I've tested. That's why no Christian can condemn anybody. Because none of us came in based on merit. We all came in based on mercy.

[37:56] Not merit. You can't merit the favor of God. You can't merit it. But why did God do that? What was? His motivation was his mercy.

[38:11] But his purpose for doing this. Is captured in verse 7. That in the age. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Permit me.

[38:31] What? That he did that so that in the time coming. He's going to put on show. God is planning an exhibition project.

[38:47] God is planning a showcase. When you go to the showroom of a car. Or maybe car dealers. They will always showcase the car that will attract you.

[39:02] Every exhibition and showcasing is supposed to show the best. God said. I have a plan. Before you were born.

[39:15] And you were found in sin. God said. You know what? I'm holy. And my wrath. The angels know me. When the angels sin.

[39:25] He kicked them out of heaven. He kicked them out of heaven. And the angels know that these people are in deep trouble with God. Because you can't deliver anyone from God. And God said.

[39:36] God is doing something. So I'm motivated by my mercy. So I will display something. So he says that. Put in verse 7 again. That's where I'm finishing.

[39:47] Verse 7. God did this. So that. In the ages to come. He might show. I'm not saying whether or not in the Bible.

[39:58] He might display. He might put on exhibition. What is he going to exhibit? God said. I'm building a showroom. And what are you going to exhibit in your showroom?

[40:10] What are you going to display in your showroom? He said. I want to show the exceeding. You remember verse 4? Say by God. By God. What does verse 4 say?

[40:22] By God. Who is rich? Oh. So God is rich. God is rich. In mercy. This God who is rich in mercy.

[40:32] When you go down. He said. He want to show the exceeding. Riches of his. Riches. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God.

[40:43] Oh God. Bestow on me. Grace means. Bestow on me. The blessings and the favor I don't deserve. There is a certain blessing that you don't deserve.

[40:59] There is a certain favor. Not from men. From God. You don't deserve. You know it. You know it. You know it. I don't care how you look.

[41:11] It's not in your looks. You know it. If God will have to bless some people seriously. You know you are not qualified. When we are adding.

[41:23] We are calling those God must bless you uniquely. Very specially. You know you are your name. But he wants to show. The riches.

[41:35] Not just the riches. But exceed. The riches exceed. The exceed. The exceeding riches of his grace. Serious words say mercy.

[41:50] Mercy. Other serious words say grace. Mercy. But another heavy word. His kindness. His kindness. God is holy.

[42:02] God is sovereign. God punishes sin. But God is kind. He said.

[42:13] I want to show the exceeding grace. Exceeding riches of my grace. In my kindness. Towards people. You.

[42:25] Being in church. Is an expression of God's kindness to you. You should have been in prison. Even prison is better. You should have been in the grave.

[42:39] But you are in church. That's why don't stop. Stop. Stop. There is too much complaining in church. Humble yourself. Wow. Come by yourself.

[42:53] People come to church. They feel that the church needs them. The church doesn't need you. The church doesn't need you. Let's settle this once and for all. The church never needs you.

[43:06] For what? What are you going to add to the church? For what? You tell me. What is it that you have? That the church needs to be in church. What do I add to the church? My preaching here.

[43:17] Is God has shown me mercy. I'm not even qualified to be talking to people like you. I'm not qualified. I'm not qualified. I'm not preaching because since I was born, I was sinless.

[43:30] But God has shown me his kindness. He's won. towards you because of god's kindness towards you he showed me kindness and mercy so i'll be a vessel to use towards you so one two three four five six they were all sinners and god wants to show you his kindness you you want to show you kindness so he came to show this one kindness so when he shows him kindness he can use this guy to demonstrate his kindness to you so you don't you didn't do anything you were just there and you feel like oh i didn't do jesus you started preaching god is using you you you can't take the credit you can't take the credit so shut up and give the glory to god verse seven verse seven i'm preaching what is called the gospel if you get this and you never get even money you will always be thankful if you understand this and you are even sick you'll still be thankful if you understand this and you never get married and you never have a child you realize there's something greater than having a child there's something greater than having a job there's something greater than having money there's something greater the mercy of god has saved me hallelujah

[45:05] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. When people come to church and they are beginning to bluff, it's because they don't understand mercy.

[45:17] Mercy. If, watch this. If I am a thief, God forbid, and I want to steal her money, and she caught me, and I said, oh, I don't know why I'm doing this, and she tells me, don't do it anymore.

[45:38] And then I see this one stealing her money, and I tell her, kill this one. You know, I can't say that. I'll say, and she asks me, this one has stolen my money, what should I do?

[45:51] I'll say, I don't know. I'm not qualified to tell you what to do. But if you can treat him like me, because I don't. You see, when you know you are a sinner forgiven, you don't qualify to condemn somebody.

[46:05] You never condemn her. This one is like this. This one is like this. You can't say, that's why Jesus said, whichever of you is without sin, let them start the condemnation.

[46:20] Can you imagine a thief on the cross? He said, Jesus, when you come to your kingdom, remember me. Jesus said, today shall be a thief. On what grounds? Mercy grounds.

[46:31] Jesus said, Jesus said, never forget this. Don't stay away from church, because you did something stupid. Because you sinned against God. Don't stay away from church.

[46:41] Come back to church, remember, because God is rich in mercy. But don't go and sin, because God is rich in mercy. No, no. That means, that's a different thing.

[46:53] You fall into the categories of Romans chapter 2 verse 4. I need to finish this thing. And I've never taught this anyway. The eternal purpose for God saving you and I is captured in verse 7.

[47:08] The eternal purpose for God saving you and I is that in the ages to come, He might show the exceeding riches of His grace.

[47:20] Watch this. Some of you know why I came here today. Because Satan wants to destroy your life, but God sent you to come and tell you, He's the only one who can deliver you from God.

[47:36] Don't run away from God. Because your solution is in God. Don't run away from God. Don't run away from God. But why is He doing all this?

[47:48] So that in the ages to come, when the exhibition time comes, watch this, He's going to put up a big exhibition show. And He's going to show His faithfulness.

[48:00] Watch this. When you go to God's exhibition, the things that He'll be displaying is His holiness, His faithfulness, His sovereignty, His majesty, His love, and His authority.

[48:15] So when the angels come to God, they say, God, what can you show us for your sovereignty, sovereign power? God said, look at creation. When they ask God, what can you show us to depict your holiness?

[48:34] He said, look at the Ten Commandments. God, what do you show us to depict your faithfulness? He said, look at Israel. God, what do you show us to depict your love?

[48:52] Look at the cross. What do you show us to depict your grace? Look at the church. Look at the church. He wants to use the church to demonstrate the exceeding riches of His grace.

[49:20] When God is asked, God, show us the evidence of your grace. He said, look at you. When God wants to demonstrate the riches of His grace, the exceeding riches of His grace, He said, look at you.

[49:32] Look at you. He tells the angels, look at him. Look at him. See what my grace can do. See what my grace can do. That's why you have to humble yourself and save Jesus and be in church.

[49:43] God is not against you, but your problem is God. Even though God is not against you. The reason why your problem is God is because of your sins. And God is against sins.

[49:54] And His wrath is against your sin. But your solution is God. The bad news for the sinner is God. and the good news for the sinner. Thank you for listening to this message by David Entry.
