[0:00] Hallelujah! Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2,! Our Christ Centred Youth Services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.

[0:13] May Jesus Christ reveal Himself to you as you listen. Ephesians 5 verse 1 says that, Be ye therefore followers of God as dear children, and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour. Amen.

[0:41] Amen. So last week, I explained the fact, I explained that, for God to say that we should imitate, we should be imitators of God, therefore be imitators of God as dearly beloved children.

[0:59] There's no way we can imitate God unless we have the nature of God. And I took my time to explain how we got the nature of God. We are human beings who carry the nature of God in us. So you have the human nature, but there is an aspect of divinity, the divine nature, which you have been introduced into all, which you have been qualified to share, to be a partaker of. So 2 Peter chapter 1 verse 3 and 4, He said, He has given us, as His divine power has given to us. The us is not talking about human or human beings.

[1:40] He's talking about those of us in Christ, an exclusive us. Okay. As His divine power has given to us, all things that pertain to life and godliness. So anything that makes life work, anything that helps you to to do well in life as a child of God to fulfill your assignment and mandate and everything that it takes to live a godly life, He has given to us. So that's why we can live a life that is according to the standard of Jesus, not according to the standard of Moses. The standard of Moses could not be lived by any human being. So when the law came, I explained last week, the law came and we were failing because the law is so much depictive of God. In fact, I think we are reading recently 1 Timothy chapter either 2 verse 8 or 1 verse 8 somewhere that talks about how the law is good. He said, but we know that the law is good.

[2:51] All right. If one uses the law itself, because the law came from God. But when the law got to our end, it began to produce bad stuff. Not because of the law, but because of us. Do you understand what I'm saying?

[3:08] Because of us. So no human being can keep the laws of God. Then Jesus Christ comes and introduces a higher standard. He introduces the standard that is even higher than the law. As I explained to you last week, he said in Matthew chapter 5 verse 27 and 28, he said that you have heard it is said.

[3:29] You have, verse 27, you have heard it is said to those of whom, you shall not commit adultery. Is that in the law? Yes. Exodus chapter 20 is there. Thou shall not commit adultery. So he said, you have heard it is said.

[3:47] You shall not commit adultery. But I say to you, I'm taking it further higher. He said, but I say unto you that whosoever, it doesn't matter who you are. Whosoever, you can be in church and you are whosoever. You can be born again. You are whosoever.

[4:05] You can, you can be a man and you are whosoever, a woman. Whosoever looks at a woman to So sometimes even in the presence of God, you are struggling to keep up with the standard. We can, even the law of Moses, we are struggling.

[4:25] How much more the highest, the imperfect one, Jesus Christ. He was so sinless. He was so pure. In Luke chapter 23 verse 14, the one who was supposed to condemn him to death, the one, the only one who had the authority to condemn him to death said, listen, guys, I find no fault in this man.

[4:48] Wow. I find no fault in this man. First, second Corinthians chapter 5 verse 21. It says that God made him who knew no sin to be sinful. He didn't know sin.

[5:01] In Luke chapter 4 verse 15. He said, for we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness. That is even very interesting.

[5:13] That in itself. It's very interesting that he, if someone shouldn't understand why you are misbehaving, it should be him. So if there should be somebody who should condemn Romans chapter 8 verse 24.

[5:29] He said, is it Christ? Okay, let's start. When you start from 32. He said, if God, who did not spare his only son. He said, he who did not spare his only son, but delivered him up for us all.

[5:44] How shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Look at the next verse. Who shall bring a charge against God's elect?

[5:57] Do you know what it means? Who can come and stand and say that, God, this one, you have chosen him, but this one has problems. Some of you, if some of your family members had the chance, your sister in particular, the things he would say against you to God.

[6:10] Because she knows you very well. She knows you are fake. So, he said, who shall bring a charge against the one God has elected?

[6:22] That's what the scripture said. Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? Is it God? In fact, he justified you. So, if someone should have anything against you, God knows you better than anybody.

[6:34] Next to God, who? It must be Jesus, even though he's God. He said, the next verse said, look at it. Who is he who condemns?

[6:44] Is it Christ who rather died? And furthermore, it's also risen, who is even at the right hand of God talking on your behalf. If someone should reserve the right to condemn us, it should be the one who lived a human life and lived a perfect life.

[7:01] But rather, he's not the one condemning us. He's the one interceding for us. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! He is before the right hand of majesty interceding for us, asking God, mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy.

[7:20] I know he did it. I know she misbehaved. But God, mercy. God, mercy. God, mercy. Because of him, the Bible said, therefore, let us come boldly before the throne of grace.

[7:32] I feel like preaching. I feel like, let us come boldly before the throne of grace that we may obtain grace, find favor and obtain mercy.

[7:43] Jesus, he said, Jesus said, woman, where are your accusers? John chapter 8. Where are those who are accused of, lady? Where are they?

[7:54] He said, Jesus said, did no one condemn you? She said, no man. He said, neither do I, neither do I condemn you.

[8:06] Go and sin. No more. That's why the scripture says, we have a high priest. Oh no, in fact, he used the negative. We, Hebrews 4, 11, 15.

[8:17] We do not. He didn't say we have a high priest. He's implying we have. But he said, let me tell you what we don't have. We do not.

[8:28] We do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize. There are some priests who cannot sympathize with your misbehavior.

[8:41] The way you are messing up. They can't. He said, we don't have that kind of high priest. He's implying we have. But let me tell you what type we don't have. So under any circumstance, you can always come bold.

[8:58] I feel like doing this slow motion. You can come boldly. We do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness.

[9:13] Weakness? Weakness? It's our strength he should celebrate. But why is he understanding our weakness? He cannot sympathize with...

[9:25] The reason why he looks like he shouldn't sympathize with our weakness is because he sat where we sit. He became like us and yet without sin.

[9:37] So he should say, if I did it, why can't you do it? Why can't you? What's your problem? Come on, come on. Get up. Let's do it. Come on. Get up. It's like you pass exam.

[9:48] And this basic exam everybody's passing. And you know this guy's strength. You're an lecturer. You've written there. You have said the exam that everybody should pass. And you yourself, you know it's not passing.

[9:59] You say, come on. No, no. You don't have an excuse not to pass this one. So our high priest should be able to tell us, I've lived where you live. I know what it means to be tempted. Listen, I did. I wasn't. I didn't fall. I was without. He said, yet is there.

[10:10] He preached after I fall. Yet, without sin. So he should rather be able to condemn. But rather, he sympathizes.

[10:22] And not just sympathizes. He's actually, actually, before the throne of grace interceding. He said, I will worship you forever.

[10:38] I will worship you forever. Because this God is good. In 1 Peter 1, verse 19, it says that he was, we are saved, redeemed by the precious blood of the lamb, as a lamb without blemish and without sport.

[11:03] He's clean. He's clean. Faultless. Innocent. That's it. 1 Peter 2, verse 22. He says that, 1 Peter 2, verse 22.

[11:14] He says that, who, let's all read here from the screen. Let's see how this is, this thing is too good. Let's read here. Let's go. Let's go. No. No.

[11:25] No deceit was found. Jesus Christ committed no sin. Anyone who says a religious leader who can lead you, ask if he committed sin or he was sinners. Oh, Jesus, we can pull him out.

[11:36] You can examine him. You can attend. And yet, even Pontius Pilate examined him. And yet, he was without sin. Shad yes! So, the scripture is telling us about how we have been.

[11:54] He says, by, he has given us these precious promises. 1 Peter, 2 Peter 1, verse 3. Giving us these precious promises. That by these, you might be.

[12:04] No, 1 Peter 3 says that. He has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. You cannot say you are born again. Jesus is living in you and you can't stop lying.

[12:17] It's not about what you should stop. But it's about who lives in you. Christianity is not about what you don't do. It's about the life you have. If you have the life of Christ, you'll be able to express the righteousness of Christ.

[12:34] It doesn't mean you become sinless. But you're certainly sinless. He has, pastor, he has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.

[12:52] Hey! Hey! I cannot shut up! Everything that pertains to life and godliness has been given to us. Godliness has been given to us. He has been given to us. So life, you can make it.

[13:04] Godliness, you can make it. Why has he done that? And he says, done that through the knowledge of Jesus who called you into glory.

[13:15] People should look at your life and feel, I wish I were you. Because we have been called into glory and virtue. That's why I don't understand a Christian brother like you.

[13:28] You keep failing exams. You keep failing exams. Now, pastor, that's not my strength. What others are doing, you should be able to do it more.

[13:43] Do you understand? Because we have the mind of Christ. Pastor, I always struggle with understanding mathematics. Pray about it. Look for someone who can help you.

[13:55] And you see, it will work. Because you have what it takes. It's just that when you are lazy, you don't want to rise to the challenge. The pastor said, no, I should fail exams.

[14:06] Yes, I said it. I said it. But he did fail exams. What has that got to do with you? To be more serious, what I'm trying to say is that the Bible says, giving us all things that pertain to life and godliness.

[14:22] So, yes, you can. Yes, you can. Why has he done that? He has done that according to the knowledge of him who has called us. So, you have to know Jesus. Knowing Jesus will determine the nature, how much of God's nature can flow through you.

[14:36] That's why all your church life must be based, must be focused on knowing more of Jesus. Not just miracle and blessing. And please, let's move away from that.

[14:46] It's part of our blessing. But that is not the fundamental reason why we are in Christ. The fundamental reason why we are in Christ is that we will know him more, that we become his expressions, his counterparts, his representatives, you remember, and his habitation.

[15:00] It's very important. And his enlargement. So, it says that according to the knowledge of him, knowing Christ is cardinal. Knowing Christ is crucial. When you are born again now, the rest of your entire life must be spent in knowing him.

[15:17] Because the knowledge of Christ is inexhaustible. The Bible says that how unsearchable are his ways. So, it says that in Ephesians chapter 1, it says, I think verse 9 or so, to know the 8 and 9, the unsearchable riches of Christ.

[15:33] You can't finish searching it. So, all your life, you keep searching and knowing about the depths of Christ. The depths, his redemptive work. The implications, the nuances of all that he has done for us.

[15:46] His mediatory work on the cross, or on the throne. His mercies. The place of his blood. The things he has brought us into. This is what, it's sad that there are believers.

[15:59] When you say justification, what's that? You say, propitiation, what's that? That they want, nowadays new ones are coming. Altars. Let me tell you, altar is not a New Testament word.

[16:14] Altar is not a New Testament. I build an altar. Especially, when people say, they don't mean it negatively. But we have to be careful, we don't move so far away from biblical terminologies. You call it, create platform for the enemy to operate easily.

[16:27] When you go to shrines, they have altars. But this is a pulpit, a podium, a stage. We've just put the pulpit to address. It doesn't carry power.

[16:39] What brings the power is the delivery of God's word. You don't need to build an altar in your house. Eventually, it becomes a shrine. The altar must be in your spirit.

[16:50] For the hour is coming and now has come. When the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth.

[17:02] John chapter 4, verse 23 and 24. For God is the spirit. That's why when he died on the cross and he said, it's finished.

[17:13] The last time, the curtain in the temple in Matthew 27. It was done. Because no more is God restricted to a location. So instead of knowing biblical words, that mean a lot to our redemption.

[17:30] Our Christ-like walk. Biblical terminologies that enrich our depths in what we have been brought into. We are abandoning that and going for new age terminologies.

[17:45] Portals. Energies. Rubbish. Somebody learning something. So in 1st, 2nd Peter is telling us, according to the knowledge of him who has called us into glory and virtue.

[18:03] Watch this. Look at the verse 4. That's what it means to be a Christian. That through this you might be partakers, sharers of the divine nature.

[18:17] Can you imagine? A human being who shares the divine nature. That's what it means to be a Christian. He said in Colossians chapter 3, verse 4.

[18:27] When Christ, who is our life? That is Christianity. It's not a set of rules. It's not a set of rules you obey, but it's the life of Christ that is.

[18:39] Ah, I feel like preaching. The life of Christ. That's why it says that let the word of God dwell in you richly. Colossians 3, verse 15.

[18:52] Somebody learning something. This is what Christianity is about. The more we move away from it, we become like puppets. We become like comedians. And unbelievers look at the church and say, oh, well, they don't respect the church because they don't know what we've got.

[19:08] And even what we've got, we've abandoned it. Christianity is not about rules. However, we have a divine nature, so we should be able to live a certain standard.

[19:19] So back to my opening text. Ephesians chapter 5, verse 1. It says that be ye followers or imitators of God as dearly be children.

[19:31] You are dear children. So a child can be like his father. Why do you think Jesus always was saying, addressing God as my father, my father, my father. It's more representative of the fact that I am the...

[19:46] He said, if you have seen me. That's why he kept calling him father, which was reminiscent of shared nature.

[19:58] So he said, before, when you are praying, go to God as a child and address him as a father. Daddy, I got your nature. He said, because we are sons.

[20:12] Galatians chapter 4, verse 5. Because we are sons. He has sent forth the spirit of his sonship into a heart, which cries, other father. When the Christians say, father.

[20:22] It's not cosmetic. It's deep from the heart. And it's not just on our mind, from our minds. It's deep in our spirit. Sometimes you are even asleep in your subconsciousness.

[20:34] You know God is your father. Because Romans chapter 8, verse 15. It says that we have not been called into bondage. For we did not receive a spirit of bondage against fear, but received a spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father.

[20:50] Shout, Abba, Father. How can someone, a Muslim, a Hindu, confuse me on the grounds of religion?

[21:04] I'm talking about the life. We are dealing with life. We are also dealing with ideas. Different platforms. Different platforms. We are sons of God.

[21:18] It says the spirit of God. Verse 16, Romans 8. Best witness. It's not an idea. There is a witness inside my spirit.

[21:32] It's not because we teach in church. That's why you know you are a child of God. But there is an internal witness that cannot be eroded. That cannot be washed away by any human being.

[21:43] Because it's deep inside. So when, you see, that is why you come and debate me, Christianity. You are on the wrong platform. Because I'm operating. Mine is an issue of life.

[21:54] Yours is an issue of idea. When I read my Bible, I'm feeding. Because of the life of God I've got, I'm able to feed on this thing.

[22:05] But when you read the Bible, you are looking for ideas. So you're okay. But if the Bible is saying, why do you? I know you understand it because you cannot be fed. How can I feed a lion with grass?

[22:19] It's not your nature. You can't take it. But me, when I come and I'm even looking for ideas. Before I could say, I feed. This thing is feeding me. This thing is feeding me.

[22:31] This thing is feeding me. Something is happening on my inside. Then the Spirit of God inside me begins to react to the Word. Then my Spirit begins to say, Abba, Father. Abba, Father.

[22:43] Abba, Father. Abba, Father. Somebody shout, Abba, Father. Abba, Father. Abba, Father. Abba, Father. Oh, yes. If I will shout my Lord, that's Hallelujah. Hallelujah. When you know Jesus this way, you never care how unbelievers think about you.

[23:01] Because you are so convinced that Father forgive them. You cannot Christ this way and envy an unbeliever.

[23:14] Is it for his car? For his house? For his hair? For his looks? For what? Because all men and the glory of their is like grass.

[23:27] The flower faded. The flower falleth away. But the Word of God abided. Somebody shout, Hallelujah.

[23:42] So, if you think, you may think, why are these people so excited because we have Jesus? We are so excited, it's not making you feel, see how lost you are.

[23:54] You only come alive at the nightclub. You only come alive when you are taking spliff. You only come alive with alcohol. We don't need alcohol. All we need is the Word.

[24:06] Something on my inside. Something on my inside. Something on my inside. Somebody scream. It's like fire in my balls.

[24:22] Yeah, it's okay to shout your hallelujah. So it says, we have the divine nature. And so because we have the divine nature, because we have the divine nature, the scripture can admonish us to imitate God as dear children.

[24:50] Why? Because you have the nature. You have the DNA of God. That's what it means. Then the verse 2 says, this is getting interesting.

[25:05] You are a Christian, and you are so hateful. In what way does that reflect the nature of God? You are so unforgiving.

[25:18] You are so bitter. Huh? No. A lot of things have happened in my life. But sorry, you have the nature of God now. You can choose to live based on that nature or based on your carnal instincts.

[25:35] He says, walk in love. Stop talking about how people should love me. There's no way you are commanded to be loved in the Bible.

[25:47] The Bible never commands to be loved. He commands us to love. Love. So he said, if you have the divine nature, walk in love.

[26:01] Demonstrate love. Love is kind. love is patient love does not rejoice in evil you see something bad that's happening to the other one you are so jealous of that lady's dress that when it ripped at the back you say yes I need to rip that's the human nature taking over your divine nature so it says walk in the spirit so you're not fulfilled because the human nature is still there the fact that you are born again doesn't mean your human nature has been eradicated it's still there and the flesh God doesn't plan to save your flesh so you don't have to walk in the flesh you have to walk in the spirit and then the nature of God begins to manifest except and they didn't just say walk in love but it goes a bit deeper it said walk in love ask so you see our example your example is not pastor your example is not your father who says he's a Christian your mother who says he's a Christian your sister who says she was a Christian

[27:12] I mean they're speaking in tongues blah blah blah but if you touch your food she will curse you yeah some people when they fast and they go they're going to break their fast and someone has eaten their puff puff they're going to eat all hell break loose who is that I've told you I don't like that you will die you know you know you know I want to show you something very more critical than don't do this don't do that it's first of all starts with the life of Christ in you so that if you can yield more to Christ you don't look for what not to do that's important religion tells you what not to do Christ tells you and gives you a life to live do you understand that I am crucified with Christ never the lives yet not I but Christ who lives did you see Christianity there

[28:13] Galatians 2 20 Christ who lives in me and the life that I now live I live by the faith of the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me so that's where addiction comes under arrest the life of Christ it can cancel any addiction addiction addiction every addiction is demonic every addiction is a reflection of demonization demons are trying to hijack your life and control your life yeah I know you look so much like an angel but this addiction when it comes you are like a devil so every addiction is a reflection of satanic hijack so the love is asking is the ability to give yourself for others he says okay and off watch this let's grant he's correct okay so let's see how God gave you

[29:17] Christ gave himself for us not to us for your information but you let's assume he means to us to us he gave himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma sweet smelling aroma Jesus offered himself as a sweet smelling listen this is very interesting he offers himself for us watch this he did everything he did for us Galatians 1 4 he did everything he did for us he gave who gave himself for our sins he did everything he did for us and yet guess who was enjoying it God back to the text Ephesians 5 2 Christ also loved us and gave and giving himself for us and offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet

[30:22] God said I like this I like this he how what made him like it he was sacrificing himself for us but God was enjoying it and he said this how you should love others it's in your Bible as dear children of God that this is walk in this kind of love love that makes God enjoy you you love others you show them love for the sake of Christ and it makes God enjoy you in Genesis chapter 8 verse 21 the Bible says that when Noah came out of the flood the sacrifice and the Lord watch this this is nice this is nice don't mind the people who have hijacked the symbols in scripture it's also a reflection of demon possession and the Lord smelled a soothing aroma may your life be like that and the Lord smelled a soothing aroma then the Lord said in his heart

[31:34] I will never again kiss the ground for man's sake although the imaginations of man's heart is evil from his youth nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done the the sacrifice Noah gave to God God liked it so much God swore he swore and the Bible says that it's when God smelled it and he said I will never God said in his heart I will never again curse curse the ground for man's sake one sacrifice and that sacrifice Noah gave watch this it's a reflection of Christ's sacrifice and Bible says that that sacrifice Christ gave God smelt it and it wasn't only it was all replete in Leviticus chapter 1 I think the verse 9 it tells us that sweet when God told them to give sacrifices he told them sweet smell Leviticus chapter 1 verse 9 Leviticus chapter 2 verse 2

[32:35] Leviticus chapter 2 verse 9 Leviticus chapter 3 verse 5 Leviticus chapter 3 verse 16 all tells you about God requires he said burn the offering it to be a sweet smelling aroma to God that was reminiscent of Jesus Christ's work so all what was going on in the Old Testament was foreshadowing the actual sacrifice of Jesus and the actual sacrifice of Jesus was that he gave himself for us out of love and now God calls us as children of God to also love as Christ loves by so doing you know it's not every breakthrough you have to pray for oh no a lot of God giving breakthroughs is not a matter of answer to prayers a lot of God giving breakthroughs is a matter of life in Christ living a certain life and the resultant effect it says look at this if God there's the song writer the song we've been singing he says that um he's my worship take joy in it make it your dwelling place

[33:48] I wanna put a smile on your face I present my heart to you oh Lord!

[34:01] I present my heart to you here's my worship here's my worship take joy in it take joy in it make it your dwelling place make it your dwelling place I wanna put a smile on your face I wanna put a smile on your face I praise my heart to you oh Lord I praise my heart to you and it goes like this he's my worship it's like it's like you come before God and he said he's my worship smile he's my life Lord smile oh he's my worship smile oh oh yes he's my life Lord smile God doesn't want you to do anything for him but you can put a smile on

[35:03] God's face by offering a sweet smelling sacrifice that a sacrifice that has a sweet smelling aroma and he has told us categorically what that kind of sacrifice can be your love for the brethren your love if you walk in love you can make God smile and when God smiles on you I'm telling you there's no way you're going down in life a lot of things you don't have to pray for before they are answered because God is always smiling you see how easy it can be the work is not just in the prayer if I were you I would rather be praying for grace to be able to make God smile instead of asking God I need the money I need a job I need a can you start praying for grace to obey God because when you obey God a lot of things logically follow automatically by default blessings he said even if a man's way please the Lord he will make even his enemies to be at peace with him

[36:10] God kill my enemies God kill my I don't know why they don't like me God can you concentrate on your life to make your way please the Lord think about how you please God stop comparing yourself to others and start comparing yourself to Christ you feel you are better because you are comparing yourself to others and your neighbors because they are bad boys they are bad girls they are not that good you are worse when you compare yourself to Christ you realize how bad you are and that will make you feel help me God and push more I don't want to belabor the point today I am just staying on verse 2 and done it says walk in love can you look at somebody and tell the person you can walk in love I know there are some of you have a lot of pain in your heart listen to me brothers and sisters as I run up I know there are some of you have a lot of pain in your heart things have happened in your life

[37:13] I don't know about and I don't intend to know and I don't need to know but God can polish your life in a way that the past doesn't hurt anymore that's the way you can live your life to allow God to flaunt his glory in your life God is always looking in fact Chronicles says that the eyes of the Lord move through and through the whole earth seeking to show himself strong in the behalf of those whose hearts are right towards him chapter 16 verse 9 or 9 16 Chronicles 1 Chronicles 2 Chronicles 69 the eyes of the Lord ran through and through the whole earth to show himself strong in the behalf of those whose hearts are loyal whose hearts are right towards him perfect towards him though it's not every battle you need to fight to win 2 Chronicles chapter 20 verse 15 he tells the rubble you don't need to fight in this battle for the battle is not yours but God you don't need to fight in this battle you will win listen it's not every victory you have to fight before you get when you learn how to walk with Christ genuinely and make him smile

[38:27] Bible says that thanks be to God who always gives us the victory through Christ Jesus Christ there are some victories that are given it's a donation you don't have to fight for it many of you here are so young that's what makes you a very enviable person or an enviable object you are enviable not that you are envious your life is worth envy why because when you start early working with God pleasing God early your future will be so colorful beautiful future beautiful listen I started working with God from my youth and I wasn't just doing church church go to church and a bad boy church no I was working with Christ genuinely and see see praise you use your own ideas for me you keep your eyes for me and give us 15 years you see the difference you see the difference it will be like day and night serve
