[0:00] Hallelujah. We thank God you've tuned into this message by David Entry at Caris Church. No hand can help you with the fulfillment of your destiny but the Word of God.! May God's hand align you further into your destiny through this Word.

[0:15] Romans chapter 1 verse 16, it says, For I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation, to everyone that believeth, to the Jew first and to the Greek.

[0:34] For therein the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith.

[0:44] As it is written, the just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold the truth.

[1:01] God doesn't need politicians to change a nation. He does not need celebrities to change a nation. So it's like if we have representation in the government, then we can make an impact.

[1:15] God doesn't need any of that. All He needs is a few people with the gospel of Christ. It's the gospel that changes. You can be in government without the gospel.

[1:28] You can't change anybody. That is why many of us, even in the UK, organizations that seem to represent Christianity don't have influence, Christian influence, or godly influence, because they don't have the gospel in their mouth.

[1:45] What changes is their gospel. So if God wants to change a nation, He will begin to impact the hearts of individuals, certain individuals. They don't have to be in the majority.

[1:58] They can be a very minuscule or tiny minority, but the gospel, that's how the gospel spread to everywhere. Jesus only chose a few on the day of Pentecost, only 120 of them.

[2:13] But the gospel, you can't stop the gospel. The more you kill them, the more the thing is spreading. And so the Bible says, I am not ashamed. Paul said, I am not ashamed of the gospel.

[2:27] And it's the gospel of Christ. Christ owns the gospel. The gospel belongs to Christ. So we can't amend it.

[2:41] It's like I've written a letter to you. I've sent you with my letter to give to a friend of mine. And then you go and open it and begin to change some ways. No, that's criminal.

[2:52] That's criminal. You can't change it. And the gospel is not ours for us to have editorial rights. No human being has editorial rights when it comes to the gospel and the word of God.

[3:06] And the more you try to edit it, the more it loses its power. He said, I am not ashamed of it. That means that in the first place, sometimes conditions, society, circumstances can make you even feel foolish preaching the gospel.

[3:23] Society can make you feel intimidated or feel ashamed. Paul said, I'm not ashamed. So he told Timothy in 2 Timothy 1.8 that being not ashamed of me, of the testimony, first of all, of the testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ.

[3:40] Being ashamed of the testimony of our Lord. What? His testimony. Testify about him. Don't be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord.

[3:52] Know of me, his prisoner. But share with me in the suffering. For the gospel. Share with me in the suffering for the power of God.

[4:06] It's the power. So Satan doesn't like it. So Satan easily sways the hearts of people who are not in Christ. People who are not in God. To fight against the gospel.

[4:18] So they don't have to be bad people. To fight against the gospel. They can be very good people. And very conscious. And in fact, they can be champions of human rights.

[4:30] But they will rise against the gospel. Because you can't defend the gospel without the power of the Holy Ghost. No, you can't defend the gospel. God is the only one who defends the gospel.

[4:42] Okay, let me put it this way. Their falling heart is very hostile to the gospel. So even though the person is a good person. Because he has a falling nature.

[4:57] There is a hostility and existing not by default. Okay? By default, there is an existing hostility towards the gospel in the heart of every fallen person.

[5:13] Sometimes the hostility plays out in different ways. Sometimes it plays out in a form of disdaining the message that is preached. It plays out in a form of ridiculing those who preach the gospel.

[5:26] It plays out in the form of attacking those who preach the gospel. It plays out in a form of disdaining the gospel. So, the gospel is... Don't forget this.

[5:37] There's a natural hostility repository in the heart of men towards the gospel. So, if you are waiting for them to like it before you share it, you might never.

[5:50] That is why he said, preach the word. It didn't give conditions. It says, if... Preach the forgiveness chapter 1. Preach the word. It didn't say, if they receive it.

[6:01] If they like it. And in 1 Corinthians chapter 1, when he talks about the gospel, he said, we preach Christ crucified. He says, it's a stumbling block to the Jews.

[6:12] The people you are trying to save, you are preaching. What you are preaching actually makes them stumble. And he says, to the Jews, it's an offense. To the Greeks, it's foolishness.

[6:23] To the Greeks, it's a stumbling block. The people you are trying to preach to win. What you are saying is practical foolishness. How can you win them then?

[6:34] He said, it's none of your business. You know they know it's foolishness. They think it's foolishness. They don't. Don't change it. Just because you didn't start it.

[6:44] But it says, but those of us who are called. It said, but to those who are called. Say called.

[6:54] Called. That's a very interesting statement. Interesting phrase. There are some people who are called. For those he foreknew. He predestined.

[7:07] Those he predestined, he also called. Before they were born, they were predestined to be called. So he says that, but to those who are called.

[7:22] Both Jews and Greeks. Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God. Those who are called. The same thing that is foolishness to some people.

[7:34] So why do we preach? Just to find out those who are called. Because when your time comes and the gospel gets to you. Suddenly, that hostility in your heart.

[7:47] It's not because of the convincing powers of the preacher. But because of the calling impact of God. So you see, it's not my preaching that changes.

[7:58] But his power behind the preaching that changes. You can preach to somebody who is resistant. And he said, I vow.

[8:09] I will never believe in this foolishness. I hate Christians. I hate all this preaching. And when his time comes. Even though he still doesn't believe it. God will give him a donation. It's a gift of repentance.

[8:22] Just give it to you. Take it and repent. It's a gift. So all of us who are born again. It's not because we are smart. Because the message was actually foolishness. Until God gave us the gift of repentance.

[8:36] For by grace are you saved through faith. Not yourself. Lest any man should boast. It's not yourself. You didn't design it.

[8:48] He created. He orchestrated circumstances. And prepared your heart for the gospel. Some people ended up in church because your boyfriend left you. Or your heart was so broken you almost died.

[9:00] And you felt like, you know, what's the point? Let me just go. They have been inviting me to church. Let me just go. All those circumstances didn't change you. But it allowed you to start seeking something that could change you.

[9:15] And you brought yourself. God is the mastermind behind every salvation. Every salvation. For it is God who is at work in you. Both to will and to do. Is somebody receiving something?

[9:27] So, it says that we are not ashamed. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. Romans chapter 1 verse 1.

[9:40] Separated to the gospel of God. It's the same thing. And in 2 Corinthians chapter 4. Verse 3, 4 and 5. Talks about how.

[9:52] But even if our gospel is veiled. It's veiled to those who are perishing. Because sometimes you are wondering.

[10:05] Can these people see the sweetness in the gospel? And they don't. Why? Because they are perishing. Everything is veiled to those who are perishing.

[10:20] In whom the God of this world has blinded the minds. The minds. Has blinded the. In whose mind the God of this age has blinded.

[10:35] In whom the God of this world has blinded the minds. Of them which believe not. Lest. The. The. The light.

[10:45] Of the glorious. Gospel. The gospel is glorious. Glorious. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We those who are born again.

[10:58] We know the gospel is glorious. Build the foundation of the gospel. It's the bloody cross and an empty tomb.

[11:12] The gospel is glorious. Someone shout the gospel is glorious. Shout the glorious gospel. Glorious gospel. And it says the glorious gospel has light.

[11:24] As the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. Who is the imago dei. Should shine upon them.

[11:35] For God who commanded. The scripture is too good. I think we can just say. Sometimes we can come to church and just read scripture upon scriptures.

[11:48] And close. It says that. For God who commanded the light. To shine out of darkness. He didn't say he commanded the light to shine into darkness. There was darkness. By a cold light.

[11:59] Fought out of darkness. He extracted light from darkness. He commanded the light not to shine into darkness.

[12:13] What we do is we normally shine light into darkness. No. That was a light. Then God who commanded the light to shine out of.

[12:24] Has shined in our hearts. That's why you are born again. Because it didn't exist in you. You don't have what it takes to be born again.

[12:39] Tell people this is the gospel. You don't have what it takes to be born again. Neither do I have what it takes to get you born again. But the gospel does.

[12:50] The gospel. When the gospel comes. It makes the light shine. Light shine out. That shines into your heart.

[13:02] That has shone into our heart. To give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. The light.

[13:14] To give the light of the knowledge. When you know him. There is a light that comes. The light of the knowledge of the glory of God. You begin to experience and know the glory of God.

[13:27] That brings you a certain light you pray through. And that glory of God is in the face. The glory of God in the face of Jesus. When you know Jesus. His face carries the glory of God.

[13:40] And when you see that glory of God. You are walking in a certain type of light. He said God has shone. Shined in our hearts. That's why we are here. That's why we are here.

[13:53] Some of us here. That's my big concern about you. Because you are a very good person. Since childhood. Everybody knows you are good.

[14:03] You are very calm. You are good. You don't create. So you think that's enough. That's what makes you born again. Forget it. Forget it. Good people won't go to heaven.

[14:15] Neither will bad people go. Good people are not going to heaven. And bad people are not also going to heaven.

[14:27] The only people who go to heaven. Is those who are called. For those he called. He also justified.

[14:38] And then we justified. Then you are talking about heaven matters. I want this church. Anybody who bothers. To expose himself into this church.

[14:50] To have strong grace. With the foundation of Christianity. Because that's what is missing. And that is what becomes the platform for revival. Because it's the gospel that determines who is saved.

[15:04] It's the gospel that determines who is in the invisible church. Shall the glorious gospel. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.

[15:20] Because number one. The gospel of Christ. This glorious gospel. Is actually another name for the power of God. He said. The gospel is the power.

[15:33] He said. For another shame of the gospel of God. Is the power of God. And he has told you. Clearly and directly. What it is the power for. That means without the gospel.

[15:47] There shall not be salvation. If you need salvation. Pre the gospel. You have power to save. If we need financial breakthrough. Or finances.

[15:58] If God wants to give us finances. He will send us some economists. If he wants to give us health. He will send us doctors. Medical doctors. If he wants us to give us therapy sessions.

[16:13] He will just send us someone to give us. Psychologists to give you therapy sessions. If he wants us to give us social systems. He will send some politicians. But he sent Jesus. He said. For he will save his people from their sins.

[16:28] It's salvation. He said. It is the power of God. Unto salvation. For. Not everybody. It's not everybody.

[16:42] Those who dare. To believe. In the gospel. Power. Let's go from the screen. Let's go. For. I am not ashamed.

[16:54] Of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God. For salvation. For everyone who believes. For the Jew first. And also for the rich. My. My. Assignment.

[17:06] One of my major assignments.

[17:19] Going. what Christianity is and what the gospel is. We'll not be confused. So that the least of us, somebody is talking to you about Christianity.

[17:31] When someone is talking and you know that this is not Christian, you can't, this is not Christian. This is not going to, what is saying that's going to go anything to you? When you read Proverbs, today's reading, you can understand that being just is just common sense.

[17:45] Being good, when someone is hungry, giving them food, and being nice to people, that doesn't make you a Christian. But how can you be Christian? It says the righteous cares about the poor.

[17:57] So if you are someone who is in the right, there are some things that will come to you naturally. But those things don't determine whether you are a Christian or not. Fundamental point is being a Christian is someone who is in Christ.

[18:12] Who is in Christ period. Don't forget that God punishes sin. He only does two things with sin. He will either punish your sin in hell, or pardon your sin in Christ.

[18:29] But definitely he will deal with the sin. What will he do? Please, pastor, this is the point I'm making. Why are you a Christian? And these things, this one-lineness, you don't tweet them.

[18:42] On your social media posts. And sometimes, I'm not saying everything, but every now and then, a statement that glorifies the gospel, that points to something.

[18:55] Those are the things that should be burning your head. Say things that will edify somebody, or that will shine the light on the glorious gospel. Do you get what I'm saying? Full of pride.

[19:08] You don't know God. Maybe you're actually not a Christian. You are just a good person. And you were born into a Christian environment. It doesn't make you a Christian. Your father can be a Pope.

[19:19] It doesn't make you a Christian. If you're a Christian, the gospel is the foundation of your life. I believe in the glorious, when I hear that phrase, the glorious gospel, something tickles my inside.

[19:32] I feel like screaming, Jesus, hallelujah. Let me pause to say this. Amen. That means everything I've said.

[19:44] Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. For I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it's the power of God unto salvation.

[19:57] To everyone who believes. To the Jew first. I can't wait to continue. Acts chapter 13 from verse 26. He said, For it was necessary that the gospel, the word of God, be preached to you first.

[20:12] Hallelujah. He said, Paul and Barnabas, he said, it was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first.

[20:22] But since you reject it and count yourself unworthy, God has accepted your offer of rejection.

[20:37] He has accepted it. He's not afraid of you. He's not afraid to say, you say, God, I'm not interested. I said, good, good. You want to resign? Okay, resign. I'm not going to do church again. God said, that's fine.

[20:47] Go. Potentially, you are like a weight. What do you mean? Because, if you are spiritual enough, it won't be slowing down to be explaining everything we say. So now, we could have said so much and gone far, but because, you know what, you actually are lecturing.

[21:07] You are lecturing master's students and there are secondary school children there. Sometimes, you have to take your time and slow down and explain everything.

[21:18] Had it not been for them, you would have by this time finished the course in two hours. But because of the children who don't even understand, you have to take your time. Every word you say, you have to break it, dissect it, explain it, give different references.

[21:34] That is why children's books have a lot of pictures. And more pictures than worse. The more unmatured you are, the more explanation is required to communicate simple message.

[21:53] So, what I'm saying is, probably, the way you get offended, I'm not saying that you shouldn't be here, because you're being here, we like it.

[22:07] because we are interested in going up with you. Because it's a together life. So, it's not a burden. But the way you are not interested in running fast, you're actually slowing us, but we don't mind waiting.

[22:27] You know what I'm saying? We don't mind waiting, because you make us whole. We are happy to have you. But, listen, if you decide to remove yourself, you can tell one load has dropped, so we are lighter.

[22:44] Because, all along, you have been a weight. But, we are happy because it's a family. Don't you understand what I'm saying? The gospel changes lives. You know what the reason I talk the way I talk?

[22:57] Because, when you are not hot for Christ, these kind of things, even if we sing to you, it will offend you. But, but when your heart is in, is right for Jesus, when your heart is right for Jesus, the communication of the gospel, however it's communicated, you find it's still palatable.

[23:18] You are able to sieve out the good things you need, and leave the things. You know, that one is not for me. So, pastor said that, you are a weight. He said, but that's not for me.

[23:28] So, he kept going. Someone said, didn't you hear what he said? Yeah, but that's not for me. But, but the one who owns it, it's actually the problem. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it's the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and then to the Gentile.

[23:46] Four, number two. So, number one is the power. Number two, for in it, the righteousness of God is revealed. God has a certain righteousness and it's revealed.

[23:58] So, God is righteous. And God has righteousness. And God punishes unrighteousness. Verse 19 talks about how God punishes.

[24:12] God is righteous. God does righteousness. And God punishes unrighteousness. That's the bad news for the sinner. That's the bad news for the sinner.

[24:26] But, God himself is the only one who meets his righteous standard on the behalf of the sinner. Who believes in him. Romans chapter 3, justification.

[24:39] How God can righteous the unrighteous righteously without being unrighteous. The act whereby God righteously righteously righteously the unrighteous and without being unrighteous.

[25:04] That's the beauty of the gospel. So, he said, for in the gospel we see the righteousness of God being revealed. Is there? Verse 17. Romans 1 17.

[25:15] For therein is the righteousness of God revealed. It's like pet house. It's revealed.

[25:26] It's so beautiful that you see the righteousness of God at play when the gospel is preached. A righteousness that the law could not give.
