[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry. Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's word.

[0:10] May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you. Acts chapter 16 from verse 31 to 40.

[0:21] And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved in thy house. And they speak unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

[0:35] And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes, and was baptized. He and all his straight away.

[0:46] And when he had brought them out of the house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

[0:57] And when it was day, the magistrates sent their sergeants saying, Let those men go. And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go.

[1:13] Now, therefore, depart and go in peace. But Paul said unto them, They beat us openly, uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us us into prison.

[1:26] And now do they thrust us out bravely? Nay, verily. But let them come themselves and fetch us out. And the sergeant told these words unto the magistrate.

[1:37] And they feared when they heard that they were Romans. And they came and besought them and brought them out and desired them to depart out of the city.

[1:50] And they went out of the prison and entered into the house of Lydia. And when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them and departed.

[2:02] Here ends the reading of God's word. Shall we please pray? Father, we thank you for this moment. And thank you for bringing us together to hear your word. As your word is taught, we pray, give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you.

[2:18] That the eyes of our understanding will be alighted. That we may know complex things from your word and the mysteries of the kingdom all to your glory. That will be useful to you in a higher dimension.

[2:29] That your glory will be manifested in our lives. As your word is taught, let the supernatural back your word. Amen. Through stretching forth your hands and healing the sick.

[2:42] Saving the lost. Convicting the sinning. Bringing encouragement to the discouraged. Bringing direction to the confused. Let clarity dawn. And let Christ be formed in us.

[2:53] Let Christ be revealed in us. And let Christ dwell in us. To your glory we thank you in Jesus name. Amen. Praise the Lord. Well, as we saw last week.

[3:07] They were arrested for economic reasons. And thrown into prison. And that was quite unlawful. They were beaten and thrown into prison.

[3:18] But at midnight, Paul and Silas sang and praised the Lord. And the prisoners heard them. And there was an earthquake that released them.

[3:28] And when the jailer who was in charge of their custody. When he realized the prisoners had escaped.

[3:39] As we all saw. He decided to take his own life. Because as I explained. If a prisoner escapes from your watch. You will have to pay the penalty for their crime.

[3:51] And this was not only Paul and Silas. But there were other prisoners. They all were escaped. So his punishment was going to be very bad. He decided to take his own life. But Paul called.

[4:03] They were in the dark. They could see the guy. Paul called with a loud voice. Saying that don't do any harm to yourself. And Paul called with a loud voice. Saying do yourself no harm. For we are here.

[4:14] You wanted to kill yourself. Because you thought we have escaped. We are here. We are still your prisoners. That's beautiful. The prison gates opened. They could have escaped. But they didn't escape.

[4:26] Because they were there for a mission. And it's interesting. I don't know why the other prisoners. Not Paul and Silas. The other prisoners. No prisoners are usually bad. Usually. You know. When someone is in prison.

[4:39] All they want is to leave. To escape from prison. And the doors were open. But they didn't escape. I believe that. Because of Paul and Silas' influence. Those guys there.

[4:50] Were so attached to Paul. That whatever Paul said. They would do. And they wouldn't. The prison had opened. Because of Paul and Silas. It would be very unwise.

[5:02] To run and leave Paul and Silas. When the ones who caused the prison to open. Are still here. Because that means. They may know something out there. You don't know. As long as you join yourself to them.

[5:13] You are safer. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. So I believe. The prisoners. None of them escaped. And the jailer. When he found out. They were there. Do you know.

[5:24] I mean. Jailer. This is the chief jailer. The one in charge. Of the whole. Prison. He wanted to take his life. And when he realized. The guys were there.

[5:35] He came. Shaking. Trembling. And the keeper of the prison. Fell down. Trembling. Before. The prisoners. Paul. Not all the prisoners. Paul and Silas. He was trembling.

[5:46] And he said to them. I don't care about my job. I don't care about anything. Because. Me. Myself. I was supposed to be dead. You saved my life. So.

[5:57] This man. Said. What must. The biggest question. What must I do to be saved? He's not thinking about salvation. Because. As I told you last week. They knew. The guys were preaching salvation.

[6:08] That's why the prisoners. They didn't also escape. They didn't only hear them sing. I'm here. I believe. They also heard their doctrine. Because. Before they cast out that demon. From that girl. They were preaching in town already.

[6:20] So people were familiar with. The message they were preaching. And they had no other message. But salvation in Jesus Christ. They preached salvation in Jesus Christ. So. When the man wanted help.

[6:32] And when he was brought to his knees. The jailer. I mean. He asked them. What must I do to be saved? They didn't say. Go to church. They didn't say. Pay your tithe. They didn't say.

[6:43] Do good. They didn't say. Stop being bad. They didn't say. Release prisoners. They didn't say. You have to become a deacon. They didn't say anything. All they said is. What it takes to be saved.

[6:53] Is belief. Belief. Your faith. Your believing. Must be in somebody. So. John 3.16. For God so loved the world. That he gave. His only begotten son.

[7:05] That whoso. Ever. Believes. So salvation. Is predicated. On our faith. And our belief. In Acts chapter 13. Verse 39.

[7:15] I quoted it last week. Where it says that. By him. Talking about Jesus. Everyone who believes. Is justified. By Jesus. So what it requires. Is you believing in Jesus.

[7:28] First John chapter 5. Verse 10. Which I also quoted last week. Says that. He who believes. In the son. Has the witness. In himself. What are you supposed to do.

[7:39] With the son. Believe. Believe in the son. Believe in the son. So. They told. The jailer. That believe. In the son.

[7:50] Believe. In the Lord. Jesus Christ. Believe. In Jesus. And you. Will be saved. Not only you. But you. And your.

[8:00] Household. As I told you. Genesis chapter. Seven. Verse one. God. And the Lord. Said to Noah. Come into the ark. You. And all.

[8:11] Your. You. And who. All your. Households. So when God. Was going to save Noah. He was thinking about. His household. As well. God.

[8:21] Doesn't just save you. And leave your house. In the book of. Exodus. Chapter 12. Verse 3. And 4. The Bible says that. Speak. Thus. God told Moses.

[8:33] Speak to all the congregation of Israel. Saying. On the 10th. Of this month. Every man shall take for himself a lamb. According to the house.

[8:44] Of his father. A lamb for. A household. Let's all repeat that phrase together. A lamb for a household. Let's go. A lamb for a household. One more time.

[8:55] A lamb for a household. Louder. A lamb for a household. Now. Lift to your right hand. If you don't mind. Say. A lamb for my household. A lamb for a household. Say it again. A lamb for a household.

[9:06] Now. Let's change it from. A. To a definite article. The lamb for my household. Let's say that together. A lamb for a household. One more time. A lamb for a household. You know.

[9:16] This is confession. Do you know what you are implying? If you are saved. Those people in your family. As you confess it. Because. That's the implication of your salvation. Your salvation doesn't stop with just you.

[9:26] It goes into your family. Salvation has come to this household. Say. The lamb for my household. The lamb for a household. That is when Passover started.

[9:39] Passover started. Because. A lamb was sacrificed. For the household. And that lamb. That was sacrificed. For the redemption. Of the Israelites. From Egypt.

[9:49] Was typifying. The lamb. That would be for the redemption. Of us. And he said. That lamb works. For households. The lamb works. For households.

[10:00] Say. The lamb for my household. The lamb for my household. Behold. The lamb of God. Who takes away. He is the lamb. For your household. He is. So.

[10:10] If you are saved. That means that. The salvation. Has begun. It shouldn't. It shouldn't. And wouldn't. And can't.

[10:22] Stop with just you. Because this lamb. Is a. House. Hold. Oh. Yeah. Somebody is getting. What I am talking about. Yeah. Don't worry too much.

[10:33] If God was able to save you. It is not because of your smartness. Not because of your smartness. So don't be so worried about. The other family members. Some of them are even smarter than you. So if.

[10:44] Me. With my own smartness. Have been saved. Even me have been saved. Then the smarter ones. Are likely to also. It will be too complicated. To save them too. So don't be so worried about.

[10:57] You can't save your household. Just let the lamb. Have his way in your house. Because. The lamb. Is. For. A household.

[11:08] Let's all say. The lamb for my household. The lamb for my household. You can't write that. And put it on your fridge. The lamb for my household. The lamb for my. Anytime you have lamb in your fridge.

[11:19] You are going to take it. Remember. This. The. The. The. The other lamb. The real lamb.

[11:31] The lamb of God. The lamb. For my household. Look at the next verse 4. Verse 4 says that. And if the household. Is too small. For the lamb. Let him.

[11:42] And his. Even your. Oh. Pastor. We are only two in our family. Don't worry. Your neighbors are also going to be. Affected. He said.

[11:53] Let him. And his. Neighbor. Next to his house. Take it. According to the number. Of the persons. According to each man's need. You shall make. Your account.

[12:03] For the lamb. So. Even your neighbors. Are about to be affected. Amen. Shout. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So.

[12:13] He said. Household. Lamb. In Joshua. Chapter 2. Verse 18. And 19. This is Rahab. When Rahab. Was about to be saved. He says that. The whole Jericho.

[12:24] Everything came down. Unless. When. We come into the. Okay. Sorry. This is. We're telling. The guy. Unless. When we come into the land. You bind. The spies. Before they left.

[12:34] Said this. The condition. In which you will be saved. You bind. This line. Of scarlet. Cord. In the window. Through which. You let us down. And unless.

[12:45] You bring. Your father. Your mother. Your brothers. And your. Father's household. To your own. Home. The next verse. So.

[12:55] It shall be. That. Whosoever. Goes. Outside. The doors. Of. Your house. Into the street. His blood. Shall be. On his own head. And.

[13:06] We will be. Guiltless. And. Whoever. Is. With you. In the house. His blood. Shall be. On our head. If. A hand. Is laid on him.

[13:17] Oh. It requires. Let them come to your house. Let them come to your household. Your household. Because. You are the only one. Who saved us. But as long as.

[13:28] Your house is concerned. Anybody. Who is connected to you. In the household. Even if strangers. Come into your household. They are covered. So. He said. Go and bring your mom.

[13:38] Go and bring your dad. Go and bring your sisters. All of them. Bring them to your household. When judgment is coming. Anyone within you. As long as they are in you. If they go outside of your house. They are on their own. But if you are saved.

[13:50] And they come within you. Oh. I feel. I think I'm preaching to somebody. I just want to. I'm just trying to tell you something. You haven't really. Talked. Deeply about. Your sister shall be saved.

[14:00] Your brother shall be saved. That auntie shall be saved. That uncle of yours shall be saved. Shout a believing.

[14:11] Amen. And so. He said. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. And you shall be saved. You. And. Your. House. Whole.

[14:22] And your house. And the church says that. And they speak unto him. The words of the Lord. And to all. That were. In the house. You see what happened. After they told him.

[14:33] The basis of salvation. Then they spoke. The word of God. See. So. I believe that. They explained. They explained. What it means to. Believe in Jesus.

[14:45] Not just. So. Some Muslims will tell you. We also believe in Jesus. In what way. How can you believe in Jesus. And be a Muslim. It's.

[14:55] An oxymoron. It doesn't. You can't say. You believe in Jesus. You know. Some. When you see some of the brothers. Not in church. But outside church. Their belly looks very big.

[15:06] As long as it's a man. He can't be pregnant. It's just a big belly. But if it's a woman. You might think it's pregnant. A man cannot be pregnant. Right. It doesn't take a good school.

[15:17] To know that a man. Can't be pregnant. In the same way. A Muslim. Cannot be. A Christian. Unless. He believes that Jesus.

[15:27] Is the son of God. You know. When you say. Believe in Jesus. What you believe. About Jesus. Is what determines. Whether you are saved or not. Not that you believe.

[15:37] That he died. One day he lived. And they killed him. That's why. I used to be in church. I was going to church. 14 times. A week. And yet.

[15:48] If I died. I would have gone to hell. Even though I believe. Jesus died for my sins. And I celebrate Easter. With my parents. And everything. I have not committed my life. To that conviction. I have not committed my life.

[15:59] To that. So believing. That demand. A reaction. An action. Is not salvific. Believe. So it says that. They took their time.

[16:09] And they spoke. Bible said. And they spoke. The word of the Lord. To him. To him. And. Oh. Jesus. This household thing is serious. As I was reading.

[16:20] You realize that. Not only that. You see. It kept coming. It kept coming. To him. And his house. They spoke the word of the Lord. Let everybody come. I'm going to say something that. It should be a foot for thought. For people to think about.

[16:31] Teaching services are very important. For families to sit together. Mother. Father. Daughter. Son. Family. Children. Grandma. It's nice.

[16:42] And it's better. If we learn to sit together. With our children. To hear teachings. That's why. We don't have to have exclusive. Every time. When there is service. The children.

[16:53] Are always out. Now. It's good to have children's service. But there must be services. Where. Parents sit together. With their children. And collect the iPad. From that child. And we all listening.

[17:05] To the word. Are you listening to what I'm saying? Pastor. But sometimes. A teacher. Would disturb. Don't people watch football. With their children. Don't they go to the stadium. And they sit down.

[17:15] Watch Olympics together. But that's entertainment. Don't they go to events. And whatever. With children. It is necessary. We model that habit.

[17:26] To our children. And not always. It's time to hear. The word of God. Children go away. No. No. No. It's a big mistake. It's a big mistake. How young should they be? As young.

[17:37] As anytime young. So. Every congregation. Must have times. Where household. Sit together. Listening to God's word.

[17:49] It's very important. At least once a week. We all sit together. And it's nice to have the children sit. Let them disturb you a little bit. But still. Jesus said. Let a little student come to me.

[18:01] Right. So. When that happens. It has a way of transferring the faith. To the next generation. Seamlessly. Yeah. Because it must be a family practice.

[18:15] It should be okay. The children think no. This is not for us. This is for them. No. They should learn it. Sometimes it's nice for family to watch movies together. Family. There are things that family must do together.

[18:26] That's what I'm trying to say. In the same way. Listening to God's word. There must be time where we all do it. Together. Household God. The Lamb.

[18:38] Oh. You forgot it so quickly. The Lamb. On my household. I can't. The Lamb. On my household. The Lamb. On my household.

[18:49] So shall it be for you. Yeah. Your mother will not die an unbeliever. Yeah. Your father will not die an unbeliever.

[19:00] Yeah. Your household shall be saved. Yeah. Your household shall be saved. Yeah. Your household shall be saved. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

[19:10] for my household hallelujah please be seated the lamb for my household so the bible says that look at the text again verse we're talking about verse 32 and they speak the word of the verse 33 says that and he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes down the prison warden now was giving them treats washed their stripes that means they were really beating the beating was bad washed their stripes and was baptized so he did something for them and they did something for him that's fellowship it's mutual benefit i am a blessing to you with what i've got you are blessing to me with what you that's how fellowship is the one another life we are there for one another so whatever one person is strong in becomes the benefit of the other person and so none of us remain weak so he washed their stripes and they've got him baptized he and all see that thing is coming again it wasn't only him him and all his household now this is i think i need to say this this is what it doesn't mean it doesn't mean because he became born again everybody in his house was baptized baptized together no baptism is for believers so that means that the people who were in his house also believed and committed do you understand that it was a general salvation in the house it wasn't one for all no it was all for him so they also believed every because when it comes to salvation is personal responsibility you can't believe for somebody no it doesn't work like that you can't believe for somebody to each one according to your faith as the scripture says praise the lord and it says that he was baptized that very moment him and his straight away verse 34 says that when they had brought them into his house he set me oh wow set me before them and rejoice believing in god did you see that thing is coming again with all his house the man who wanted to end his life now he was trembling after encountering the gospel he was baptized and now he's a happy man bible says that he brought me to the house he sent me before them and rejoiced he was happy man his life has transformed believing in god with all his house then verse verse 35 says that and when it was day that means that all these things happen from midnight time i told you midnight is a sign that the next day has started don't wait for the day to break before you start enjoying the day by the time the others join you you are hired i'll show you but see when you walk with god and you you learn how to pray and celebrate god even when things are dark you will go ahead of your times you go you you walk in that you you you have an advanced living a higher life so bible says that and when it was the the magistrate sent the officers saying let those men go when it was day after day because we're having nice time but guess what that means even when they were eating the meat and we're baptizing somebody they were still prisoners they were still prisoners they were still his prisoners but he was their member they were still his prisoners but he was their member and they were his spiritual leaders wow that's beautiful because he didn't have what he took to release them he can't release them because the magistrates have put them in prison so his job was to keep them but it seems like

[23:12] that whole situation happened for the man i told you paul wasn't guilty but he went to prison to set prisoners free in the lord and to set that man and his household free what would it take for the man to be saved i believe he's heard about salvation but i couldn't be bothered this job was good he was enjoying his life until he faced a precarious situation he couldn't bail himself out of and he saw the power of god and he believed so the magistrate said let that man go why that's very ridiculous look at the verse 21 you caught them beat them put them in prison lock them up then within 24 the next morning he said let them go go away so that means that you knew you were wrong there was nothing wrong you shouldn't have done that just beat them and let the guys go paul said i will never go back no paul said to them hey hey hey they have beaten us openly the problem was the romance see your citizenship matters even in the bible even in the bible their citizenship matters that is why if you're a believer one of the things god gives you he gives you a certain passport every believer god gives you a heavenly passport not american passport not british passport because you can have all that and still you will be a candidate of hell illegal alien in heaven in ephesians chapter 2 verse 19 talks about we are citizens yeah remember citizens with the with citizens so you have citizenship with the kingdom of god and so bible says that they are beating them un-condemned being romans and have thrown us into prison now they put us out secretly now indeed let them come themselves and get us out you see you think paul is being cantankerous contentious paul is okay just go they said you should go he said no because remember how they ended up in where they were in philippi in the verse 9 at night paul saw a vision a man of macedonia come and help us and the verse 10 they went they after the vision they had a discussion okay i didn't tell you but they had a discussion because they had to discuss what's the implication what and they concluded upon upon the discussion all right so they had a deliberation and concluded that the lord has sent them to preach the gospel there and they went to the chief city of macedonia which is philippi and there they got the lydia and her household born again and they were going then the slave girl also got saved and after the slave girl got saved they were cast out beaten and put into prison and that very night they got into prison by the morning the prison jailer and his household were saved their job was done remember they will have some disciples in town from lydia's conversion and from that demon possessed girl's deliverance and remember they had already been already been preaching and lydia and her household would also be preaching so that the disciples would be growing until they were busted they were beaten and put in prison it looks like see the guys you are falling they are now in prison so it will be a negative spin on the church the young church the believers will be discouraged paul has been put in prison now he's run away you see

[27:18] the guy's bad he's run out of town no no he said i'm not leaving town no man let the magistrates put it on the news that they were wrong that will boost the morale of the new church you can imagine how the followers of paul will be when you feel the system is on your side it gives you boldness even when you are wrong you are bold to talk so when the establishment come and apologize to their pastor you can imagine the impact it will have on the followers they will suddenly begin to have meetings even pray on the street when no one is supposed to pray on the street because the authorities cannot be touched them yeah so paul had to say you have to come apologize to us and make it public that you guys were wrong at least so that we can encourage our people that we are not doing anything wrong we are not put in prison because we were wrong but we are put in prison wrongfully now but what is interesting is paul in the verse 37 says that we were on condemned romans didn't he know already when they were about to beat him because in acts chapter 22 verse 29 from verse 25 actually they were about to beat him and he said hey do you beat someone a roman and as they bound him with thongs paul said to the centurion who stood by is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a roman and uncondemned now look at what happened when the centurion had that he went and told the commander saying take care what you do for this man is a roman look at the next verse then the commander came and said to him tell me are you a roman he said yes he said the commander said with the last number you see people are paying for citizenship a long time ago with the last sum i obtained my citizenship paul said no but i was born a citizen then immediately those who were about to examine him withdrew from him and the commander was also afraid after he found out that he was a roman and because he had been bound just abandoned him you can't touch a roman like that but why didn't paul pull out the roman card because before they were put in jail in philippi they said these guys being jews are teaching us customs that we romance so paul could have said listen i'm also roman that would have stopped the prison issue but paul needed to go to prison by night he saw a vision a man of macedonia come and help us and i believe that they knew that going to that prison was part of the mission so after their mission was accomplished they said okay you guys can't go say no we are not going anywhere let everybody know you were wrong and when they heard that the magistrate came and they were trembling they were afraid when they heard that the guys were roman that's the point i'm trying to say you should have said i'm roman before they beat you you didn't have had to sustain all this beating going to prison they beat them with rods but paul's mission trumped his liberties he wasn't looking for civil liberties at the expense of his assignment he was willing to lose his civil liberties if it means his assignment to be fulfilled but when he finished fulfilling the assignment he said no if i stand for my civil liberties it will not undermine my assignment it actually will enhance the assignment so this time let me use it so it's good to have what you can use but be careful you don't mind the things that are just of men at the expense of the things that are of god is that one gets what i'm saying so the magistrate came and then they released them they said um verse 38 and the sergeant told these words to the magistrate and they feared when they heard that it

[31:26] was roman verse 39 says that and they came and besought them they begged them actually please please and brought them up please please we are sorry because their lives were at stake for beating roman citizens because it was very unlawful and it was a big problem in the roman empire for you to do that so they came and besought them please we are sorry and desired them that you just leave the city go go they deported them oh they negotiated with them just leave so they came and begged them and then asked them to leave their depart from their city and then when they were out of prison they came look at this then they went out of prison and entered into the house of lydia the lamb for my household entered into the house of lydia and when they had seen their brethren that means you see they were concerned about the believers to their standard the book of philippians was written to the church at philippi see what paul went through to birth that church see what paul went through to birth the church and his life was not more important to him than the church of christ so he they went to see their brethren and comfort you see that were there they comforted them that means that they were all shaking by what had happened that's why the magistrates had to come and apologize so that will also be a source of comfort for their brethren so they went and comforted the brethren and they departed the next verse i want to step into it a little then then they departed now when they had passed through amphipolis and apollonia they came to thessalonica where was a synagogue of the jews when they went to philippi there was no synagogue in philippi there was no synagogue so they went to the riverside where prayer was customarily made but when they got to thessalonica thessalonica was also one of the major cities in macedonia so they were still within the macedonian territory come to macedonia and help us so their first stop was philippi now the next stop was thessalonica and thessalonica was a very important place and the church ended up being birthed there so in first thessalonians yeah thessalonians are people who live in thessalonica so the letter was written to the thessalonians first thessalonians chapter 1 verse 1 second thessalonians chapter 1 verse 1 see what's there he said paul sylvanus and timothy to the church of the thessalonians in god the father and the lord jesus christ grace chapter 2 second timothy second timothy second thessalonians chapter 1 verse paul sylvanus and timothy to the church of the thessalonians in god our father so years later or years later they were writing a letter to the thessalonian church why because from philippi i'm sure their wounds hadn't even healed they went to thessalonica to go and do the work there so let's see what happened in thessalonica in thessalonica briefly in the verse 2 and then paul as his custom was shall we all say as his custom was please say it again if you are failing check your custom before you check your skin color you know what i'm saying is important you may not like it but really usually people don't like that one before you check your skin color check your custom before you check your gender check your custom

[35:30] for you to say because i'm a man they don't want to give me a job because i'm a woman they don't want to give me a job maybe your custom why am i saying that because there's a custom behind every failure there's a custom behind every success anybody who is succeeding started succeeding many many years ago some of you there are people you knew in school and now you hear about them you are not surprised where they are you are not surprised some of us you know your brother who is doing very well your sister who is doing very well you one thing you can say about when we are even children you always be the one to wake up and clean the house he always be there no wonder he's not a prime minister you know i've not said anything but some of you should interpret what i'm trying to tell you there's some things i'm not a surprise when they want to lay people off there are some people who be the first to go why because of your custom not just your color custom people who live with you know your custom and sometimes go to listen to their concerns their concerns they keep telling you you are like this they don't think they'd hate you sometimes jealousy make them overblow the negativity but at least there's some basic truth about it they went to the synagogue that's a custom jesus christ had a custom in luke chapter 4 verse 16 bible says luke chapter 4 verse 16 bible says he went to the synagogue and he came to nazareth and he where he had been brought up and as his custom was he went into the synagogue on the side he won't fail he won't miss it the synagogue was not the best of places but it was necessary the scripture would be right there so he went there as his custom was custom custom some people have a custom of staying at home when they can be in church and and i'm watching online it's a custom you can never be someone god uses when you are always at home and watching online at best you sit online and make a lot of noise but those things don't really help you can never help you out of the way you can never help you out of the way you can never help you out of the way you said covid for john so love the world somebody's a custom let me finish that then paul as his custom one went in to them and for three sabbath so it's chosen once and for all things three sabbath days reasoning i was telling pastor um a few days ago when we were reading matthew matthew chapter 28 mary magdalene and mary went to the tomb to go and look for jesus i got my easter message for next year to go and look for jesus the angel said you are looking for jesus and the angel said who was crucified that's fact angels came and they're talking about natural facts said jesus who was crucified he was crucified so the angels didn't say he wasn't said he was crucified and you are looking for him then the angel said he's not here a crucified dead person is not there where is he going as someone's telling him he said he's not here for his reason as he said then you know where i got my message from the next one come see it didn't say it's for you to go and just walk come you yourself do your personal investigation thorough but come and see the science s-c-i-e-n-c-e science of christianity data-based so we can reason that's why preaching doesn't have to just be hey i feel i believe we can

[39:32] reason from text and you reserve the right to say no but the text didn't say that pastor you reserve the right to say that no it's a good christian practice to notice what the test didn't say we somebody's trying to say it's a healthy christian paul reasoned reasoned reasoned from the scriptures from the scriptures not from current affairs he reasoned from the scriptures he said okay the scriptures are a written document let's go into it analyze what the document says and let's find out who is right based on the document so that's what he was doing for three sabbaths reasoned reasoned from the scriptures you remember how in luke chapter 24 verse 26 bible says that ought not that christ to have suffered all these things to and then the next verse 27 is what i'm looking for and beginning of moses he expounded to them in all the scriptures jesus christ was showing them he did bible study with them after resurrection look at verse 46 verse 46 and 47 it says that verse 46 it says that then he said to them that it is written and that it is necessary for the christ to have suffered all these things and reason it is written he was pointing them to scriptures and he opened their understanding that they might comprehend the scriptures in acts chapter 8 verse 35 bible says that philip from that scripture he preached unto him jesus from that scripture so the basis for our presentation in church or our preaching and our teaching must purely be scripture not common sense common sense is good but it's not sufficient it's not good enough to help somebody in christ in the lord spiritual things don't come through common sense they come through scripture scriptural sense understanding what the text says so the reason when we come to when you are reading your bible ask questions ask questions oh why is he saying this why did he say that right okay at the other time i saw this no it doesn't make sense ask questions if you are a growing christian and you don't have questions from scripture you've not been reading your bible you've not been because when you read a scripture you always okay that's interesting i've never seen this before i've never seen risen from scriptures for three sabbaths and their point was that jesus let me live explaining and demonstrating that christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead and saying this jesus is the christ and this is not miracle they are not doing miracle he was just arguing and showing them in the synagogue from he said this jesus is the christ that the scriptures i'll pick it from there next week the scripture i've been talking about a certain jesus christ christ christ christ christ christ christ said this jesus i'm preaching is the christ of the scriptures he was proving the he was explaining and demonstrating that christ had to suffer and jesus has gone through all this so they didn't have any choice he put pinned them to the wall based on scriptural data christianity is data based data based and supernatural backed when you pull out the data properly heaven backs the data with power that's how households get saved some of us are saved but your house will be saved just get exposed to the things of god build yourself up in the most holy faith build yourself up in the most holy faith and i see god doing fantastic things in your life a lamb for my household the lamb for my did you receive something let's give jesus praise hallelujah
