[0:00] Hallelujah. We thank God you've tuned into this message by David Entry at Caris Church.! No hand can help you with the fulfillment of your destiny but the Word of God. May God's hand align you further into your destiny through this Word.

[0:14] Genesis chapter 5 verse 21. 21 says that, And Enoch lived 65 years, 60 and 5 years, and begat Methuselah.

[0:31] And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah 300 years and begat sons and daughters. And all the days of Enoch were 365 years.

[0:43] And Enoch walked with God. And he was not, for God took him. Amen. So when you look at it, the Bible, say you even want to do a Bible study.

[0:55] You want to do a Bible study. You know, when you tell someone to read your Bible, maybe read through the Bible. Logically, many people think it's better to start from Genesis.

[1:07] So most people who want to read through the Bible and start from Genesis, sometimes at the time they get to levity because they are tired. Because there will be a lot of road bumps and things that really can be very boring.

[1:28] Just to read. Psalm 20. Lovely. The part I saw, he said, God, remember your offerings. I said, okay. Ah. Then I have to give him something to remember.

[1:40] Yeah, I think there is 7 or 6. He will answer you from his sanctuary. Just in case you want to read from Genesis, you notice that Genesis chapter 1, you see how God created man in his own image.

[1:54] And then you go to Genesis chapter 2. Then you come across details of the creation and the instruction and how God formed the woman and instituted marriage.

[2:10] Then Genesis chapter 3, Satan shows up. The serpent shows up right from the verse. So in Genesis chapter 1 and chapter 2, Satan was not there. He only appears in chapter 3.

[2:21] And challenges God's instruction to the woman. And eventually tells the woman that God is a liar. That God is lying. When you eat the fruit, you will not die.

[2:34] Yeah. In the verse 4. It says that the serpent said to her, to the woman, He shall not surely die. What was God talking about? He said, I challenge.

[2:44] I put it to you. And I challenge what God is saying. You eat it. You shall not. The woman said, God said for it, you will die. Surely the serpent said, no, no, you won't die. I don't mind him. He's not a serious guy.

[2:55] He's lying. He accused God of lies. So then you see the story. They obeyed the earth. And they disobeyed God.

[3:10] God drove them out of the garden. Then chapter 4. You see the first arrival of the first set of siblings. The first siblings were in the Bible.

[3:22] In Genesis chapter 4. Cain and Abel and the feudal tension. And Cain managed to kill the good one. The bad boy killed the good boy.

[3:33] So the one who dies is not always bad. The one who is loudest and seems to be doing well is not necessarily God. Anyway, so he killed him.

[3:45] So he killed him. The first murder in scripture or in history was Cain killing his brother out of jealousy and envy. His prayer was not heard.

[3:57] His sacrifices were not received by God. Cain's, Abel's own was received. And he was jealous. Now why didn't God receive him? But God said, if you did right, you'll be accepted.

[4:10] So he knew what to do. He didn't do it. He was trying to cut corners and still get the same results. He's cold. He'll stay at home. He won't come to church. But he wants to get the same results as you will get.

[4:21] No. It doesn't work like that anyway. So. So. Then you see Genesis chapter 4. The feudal tension. And then.

[4:32] You go to chapter 5. And something very interesting happens in chapter 5. A record of 10 people in chapter 5. And their stories made God's warning to them.

[4:50] Adam and Eve. Their story made God's instruction and warning seem to not be true. And Satan was right. Because when you look at chapter 5.

[5:03] It talks about how. Adam lived. The people were living. So. They were living. So. Really. Genesis chapter 3 verse 4. What the devil said.

[5:13] Seemed to be true. Look. It says that. Just for saying you will not die. Look at chapter 5. And it says that. And Adam lived. Adam lived.

[5:23] And some of them even not a few days. Centuries. Which made it look like what God said. It's actually not true. Satan was right.

[5:34] The arithmes is there. Adam lived. And then because said. Said. Lived. So when you look. They were all living. They were living. They were living. They lived long.

[5:46] But eventually what God said. Caught up with them. God's word will always be true. Eventually. Satan was proved to be a liar.

[5:59] Eventually. God's word caught up with them. After centuries of living. They. They. They. Adam lived. For a very long time.

[6:13] Adam lived. An hundred and thirty years. And even gave birth to sons. Wow. It gave birth to more sons.

[6:24] And after his likeness. It gave birth to sons. And then the days of Adam. After he begot. Said. Verse 4. Eight. Eight hundred seers. And he begot sons and daughters.

[6:38] And. The days. Adam lived. When nine hundred and thirty. Eight. What? And. God's word.

[6:49] Was true. He died. Ten of them. So they lived. They lived. Before they died. They lived. Before they died. Then you get to verse 21.

[7:01] And it says that. Let's all read it together. In only 65 days. And we are not in the son. This is interesting. What. We in our days.

[7:12] Are. When we are ready to. Go. Go off. That's when. Enoch. Started his family. And. Enoch. Lived 65 years. And started a family.

[7:24] We still are. May God give you the Enoch kind of grace. Amen. Where.

[7:35] Some of us began to fold up. That's where he began. And. But something unique about Enoch. Which you'll find. About all the others.

[7:47] That. They lived. They were living. They were living. Verse 21. They were living. And Enoch also lived. So. Enoch lived.

[7:58] Just like they were all living. But after it looks like something happened to him, after he had a son, after he gave birth, he had a son, it looked like something changed in his life.

[8:16] He became different from the others. And after begat her, Enoch no stopped living. Enoch walked with God the rest of his life.

[8:30] 300 years and had sons and daughters. After Methuselah arrived, something shifted. So when others lived throughout and died, Enoch, after Methuselah, he became different from the others.

[8:48] And Enoch walked with God. Interestingly, the Bible didn't give us details about his life too much.

[8:59] Do you know that Enoch is recorded in the New Testament only twice? Very briefly. In Jude verse 14, it says that Enoch, the servant from Adam, prophesied.

[9:10] Jude verse 14, Enoch, the servant from Adam, prophesied about these strange guys. And then in Hebrews chapter 11, verse 5, it says that by faith.

[9:25] Oh, can we read it out? You should know that. Let's read it out. Let's go. Let's read it out. Let's read it out. It is very interesting.

[9:42] Look, they dedicated one verse here, one verse there. That's all you hear about Enoch. This is a serious person. The first person who went missing.

[9:57] That's a police case. No, no. He said he was not found. He didn't die. He was, he wasn't found. Now they come for the God. They still don't find him.

[10:09] Yeah. Something happened to Enoch. He walked with God and he got missing. Enoch was sort of missing person. Have you seen this? It was all over the newspapers.

[10:22] Somebody's gone missing. Enoch walked with God and King James puts it in a very interesting way. The way that King James said after Enoch walked with God after he began 300 years and he began sons and daughters.

[10:40] The next verse, verse 24. Let's go to verse 24. And Enoch walked with God. He didn't die. What's the meaning? He was not. He walked with God and he was not.

[10:54] Because God did something he hasn't done. God took him. It's like God stole him from the earth. He got missing. His family will be looking for him. Where is he? He's gone.

[11:05] There are only two people who didn't die in the Bible. Only two. Enoch was one and then Elijah. Elijah and well we went came and took him.

[11:20] And second King chapter 2 verse 11. And he told Elisha, if you see me go. So well we came and took him. And he went.

[11:32] So even that they saw him go. But Enoch, he just was. Where is Enoch? They were searching for him. Anywhere, everywhere. Enoch.

[11:45] But the Bible told us what happened to him. The Bible said God. God took him. Enoch walked with God. Today we are going to pray that God.

[11:58] Help me too. Because the others were living. But he was walking with God. You can be living. But life is not what you should be.

[12:10] Because you are not walking with God. Many people are living and not walking with God. They don't want to pay any price. Not interested. They are not walking with God.

[12:22] You can have life. But if you don't walk with God. You have not started experiencing life. You can be. The Bible didn't say he was in church. He walked with God.

[12:33] You can be in church and not walk with God. You can be giving money. To the work of God. And not be walking with God. You can be serving in church.

[12:44] And not walking with God. Enoch did not die. One of the only two. Jesus is not in that category. Because Jesus died. Jesus died.

[12:55] Enoch did not die. Enoch never tasted death. Jesus tasted death. Hebrews chapter 2 verse 9. He tasted death for us.

[13:08] He tasted death. By the grace of God. He should taste death for every man. He tasted death. Enoch didn't know what it means to die. Wow. What was his secret?

[13:20] He walked with God. Enoch. In those days. When is. Now we live in an Uber generation. When you are ready to. Now it's almost many parts of the world.

[13:31] Practically. So Uber generation. Wherever you are. Just. Oh this. The station. From here to the station. It's just. You know. 15 minutes walk.

[13:42] By 5 minutes drive. Or. 20 minutes walk. 5 minutes drive. You just call your Uber. Those days. You walk everywhere you go. You walked.

[13:53] You walk very far. You walk. Every. So most of us now. You don't walk. Uber has even made it worse. From your house to the station.

[14:03] You even get Uber. Uber. You only walk. when you want to lose some weight, and even that is a problem. There's only one, once it was recorded, that Jesus rode a donkey.

[14:23] He was always walking. Those days, your entire life is spent walking. Walking, walking. That's why they washed their feet.

[14:34] They were always walking, to the extent that walking became your living. So they can say, your walk is not just steps you are taking, but you're living.

[14:46] So the phrase, your walk, or the term walk, became synonymous to lifestyle. So when you say Enoch, are you getting it?

[15:02] When the Bible says Enoch walked with God, it's talking about his entire lifestyle was absorbed in what God wanted. What God wanted, what God preferred, what God said.

[15:15] His lifetime was not absorbed by his feelings, and his personal expectations. His personal expectations were overshadowed by God's desire.

[15:27] God dictates a God instruction. If Enoch walked with God, that means three things about Enoch. He was holy. Number two, he was humble. He was holy. Enoch was a humble man.

[15:40] He was a holy man. And number three, he was a happy man. Oh yes. When you walk with God, you need to be humble. You need to be holy.

[15:52] You need to be, you will end up being a happy person. Enoch walked with God. Let's all say, Enoch walked with God. But when you look at what Hebrew had to say about Enoch, Hebrew said, he didn't talk about work.

[16:07] Hebrew chapter 11, verse 5. It says that, by faith, Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death and was not found.

[16:19] You see that, I told you, God missing. Was not found because God had taken him. For before he was taken, he had this testimony that, so, so, Genesis said, before he was taken, he walked with God.

[16:36] Hebrew said, before he was taken, walking with God means, he pleased God. He was someone who lived his life to please God. That's what it means. He, but he walked with God.

[16:47] He pleased God. He walked with God. He pleased God. He walked with God. And then Hebrews didn't stop there. He goes a little, a step further to tell us that, but we know we don't. How can you go, walk with God without faith?

[17:03] Your giving to God is not as important as your trusting in God. The God, God is obsessed with being trusted.

[17:15] God, he shows up in the lives of those who trust him. You trust him. I know God. He said, if I can't, I will obey you. You will do it.

[17:26] You will glorify. Job said, even though he slays me, I will trust him. Trust him to the end. Trust him.

[17:37] He said, the Hebrew boy said, God is able to deliver us. And just in case he doesn't, we are not bowing. We trust him enough. We have no problem. We still bow him.

[17:48] We will serve him alone until death. Walking with God. You can't walk with God. In Romans chapter 14, verse 23, the Bible says that anything that is done without faith is actually sin.

[18:00] That's sin. Sin. So you can imagine how many times we are sinning. Choosing a husband without faith. Choosing a wife without faith.

[18:12] Choosing a job without faith. Choosing a location without faith. Choosing your course without faith. Without faith.

[18:25] Everything that is done without faith is sin. Enoch walked with God and he was not.

[18:37] When others were living, I like this, whilst others were living, he was walking with God. He was walking with God. He took it upon himself that I will be God.

[18:50] I will please God. What brings God pleasure is my life commitment. It's my life agenda. It's my life assignment. What brings God pleasure is what I choose to do.

[19:04] Malachi chapter 2 verse 6. Malachi chapter 2 says that the law of truth was in his mouth and iniquity was not found in his lips.

[19:15] He walked with me in peace and equity and did not turn away from and did turn away from iniquity. And Micah chapter 6 verse 8.

[19:27] Micah chapter 6 verse 8. He has shewed thee, O man, what is good and what does the Lord require of thee but to do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God.

[19:43] You can walk with God. do you know that parents, adults don't walk with toddlers? No, you wait for a toddler.

[19:56] You don't walk because when you take one step it will take them quite a while to also come. So you can't say I'm walking with a toddler per se. You don't walk with a child. You wait on the child.

[20:08] You carry the child or you wait on the child. So you are not really your focus is on the child. For Enoch to walk with God. That means God had to because if you are working with God the steps of God are too big.

[20:23] God had to wait on Enoch. God wants you to walk with him. You have to pay a price. You will. Yes, but it's worth it. It's worth it.

[20:37] The essence of your Christian life is walking with God. Don't just live. Don't just live. Determine to walk with God. Determine to be a God pleaser.

[20:49] Not man pleaser. Not following the crowd. What the crowd likes. What people like. No, that's not your concern. Your concern is what God likes.

[20:59] How do I please the Lord? The rest of your life should be spent after having methuzela. Should be spending how do I make God? I want to put a smile on your face.

[21:12] I present my heart to you. By faith, Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death and he was not found because he walked with God for before he was taken he had the testimony that he pleased God.

[21:31] And he said, but we know that without faith it is impossible to please God for he who comes to God must believe.

[21:43] God rewards people. God is a rewarder but he only rewards those who seek him. God rewards only those who seek him with their heart.

[21:56] They seek him not like others but they seek him genuinely. God is a rewarder. Before you ask God bless me, God bless me, why don't you think of God?

[22:08] Show me how to please you. That is a better prayer than asking for blessings because most of us are asking for things to make us live.

[22:20] but if you desire how we can please him, how we can please him, how we can walk with him.

[22:32] How many of us want to walk with God? I really want to walk with God. Let me add this last scripture. You can't walk with God and be very comfortable with sin.

[22:47] The two are incongruent. They don't go together. They are incompatible. In 1 John chapter 1 verse 7, look at what the scripture has to say.

[23:01] If we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses us from all sins. Look at the next verse. If we say that we have no sin, we deserve to heaven.

[23:15] Look at the next verse. Actually, the verse 6 is what I'm looking for. Please pardon me. If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness. For Enoch to walk with God, he has the starting point and he continued for 300 years.

[23:35] It wasn't for one year. So stop giving God an automaton. God, if you don't do it within the next seven weeks, before Christmas is over, God, if you don't give me a job, I'm out of church.

[23:50] If God doesn't buy this, if God, can you just shut up? Because God can be late and still on time. And he doesn't have to do it. Don't serve him on condition.

[24:03] Don't serve God on condition. So, he continued for 300 years, he worked with God and he didn't just work with God.

[24:17] So he started working with God after Methuselah was born. He continued working with God and the results, how did he end? He ended up in God, consumed and was not.

[24:31] God rewarded him. I see God's reward coming on somebody. Thank you for listening to this message by David Entry. We pray you have been strengthened and enlightened.
