Fasting Commands Victories

[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message preached at Caris Church.! The Word of God is to be lived. May you receive direction from this message that will be a lamp to your feet.

[0:14] Acts chapter 10, we know the story of Cornelius. And the Bible talks about from verse 1, it says, There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian regiment, a devout man.

[0:30] And one who feared God with all his household. Who gave alms generously to the people and prayed to God always. And on a certain day he was praying.

[0:41] And as he was praying, it was his day of change. It was his day of, I mean, it wasn't just a change. You know, sometimes you get a new job, you say, my story has changed. This one was a, I mean, it's not just a generational change.

[0:55] It was a change for him. It was a change for his household. But it was a change for the entirety of humanity. Because some of us were about to be engrafted into the plan of God.

[1:06] But a man was praying. A man was doing something before God. And so, this is another man who has been prepared. Stayed with Jesus. Walked with Jesus.

[1:17] Tarried with Jesus. Peter. He believes Jesus has come. What has been done has been done. He's gone on to Joppa. He's hungry one afternoon. Whether he's fasting or not, we don't know.

[1:28] But the Bible says he was hungry. Waiting for food to be prepared. So he went up to pray. And he fell into a trance. I really pray for you. That in this season, as we are fasting. May God grant you visions.

[1:39] May he give you dreams. May he open your ears. May you enter into the supernatural. In the name of Jesus. Cease to be ordinary. Cease to be ordinary. And enter into the supernatural.

[1:50] Hear the voice of God. See visions. Dream dreams. Dream dreams. See visions. Let the voice of God be obvious to you. In the name of Jesus. We can't tarry like this in God's presence.

[2:04] And day and night. Every night you go to bed. Some of you don't even dream at all. You sleep. Wake up. Like ordinary. It has to stop. It has to cease. The Holy Spirit wants to tell you things.

[2:15] Your eyes must also see. Your eyes must see. When you go to bed. God must speak to you. If you have not been desiring from tonight. Begin to desize. Lord as I put my bed on this pillow.

[2:27] Reveal yourself to me. Speak to me. I want to hear you. Show me my next level. Teach me your ways. Show me what I need to do. In the name of Jesus. And I pray for you.

[2:39] That you will encounter it. You will see it. In the name of Jesus. Jesus. It is not an exclusive right. For people of titles. It's not. It's not an exclusive right.

[2:50] It is for the children of God. If you have the Holy Spirit in you. He speaks to you. Those who are led by the Spirit of God. They are the sons of God. If you are a child of God. You must be led by him. It is your privilege.

[3:02] It is your privilege. Even when you come to a place like this. I bet you. A pastor may not be able to lay hands on everybody. But the Holy Ghost can encounter everybody. The Holy Ghost can reveal himself to everybody.

[3:15] He can come upon everybody. Back in the day. They said don't lose God. Yeah. Take advantage. And so Peter.

[3:26] He too. A man prepared for a season like this. He went up to pray. And of course we know the story. Cordelius had been given instructions. So he followed through with the instructions. Prompt obedience was there.

[3:38] And then sent his men to go and get Peter. So Peter comes. Surprise, surprise. He has to follow the instructions of God. Because he was praying. And because he heard.

[3:50] You can imagine. If he didn't hear. If he didn't see. You can imagine. Anyway. So verse 30. Is where I am trying to get to.

[4:01] Peter has arrived. And Cordelius. And Cordelius. Has to now tell him. Why he sends people. To. Go for him. So.

[4:12] Cordelius said. Four days ago. I was. Fasting. Until this hour. And at the ninth hour.

[4:22] I prayed. In my house. So first of all. He was fasting. And then. He was. Praying. Behold. A man stood. That's why. You must see things.

[4:34] You must believe God. God. Open my eye. This man has even encountered the gospel yet. And he can see a man before him. God will open your eyes.

[4:46] You will also see. Things concerning your future. Yeah. And so. He said. A man stood before me. In bright clothing. And said.

[4:57] Cornelius. What? Your prayer. Has been heard. And your arms. Has been remembered. In the sight of God. And an instruction followed. Sent forth.

[5:07] Because. Change. Is about. To happen. I love the fact that. One who was fasting. Is somebody fasting here? For those of us who are fasting. This is the scripture for us. So he said.

[5:18] One. He was fasting. And during his fasting. He was praying. So when we came. You prayed. Guess what? This is for you. This is for you.

[5:29] This is your portion. God is about to give you instructions. Direct instructions. Direct instructions. In the name of Jesus. This is what I loved about this story. Peter Emmanuel has spent time with Jesus.

[5:43] Seeing Jesus move about. Doing great things. Going to the cross. He has literally been with the King of Kings. Here on earth. But he didn't know he wasn't his own man. He didn't know he was being prepared.

[5:55] To be used. Prepared. To be used. Because somebody. Has been fasting. Somebody has been praying. So this great apostle. In the kingdom.

[6:07] Had to be moved. I see. Great men and women. Are being moved for your sake. Important people. Are being moved for your sake.

[6:19] Decision makers. Are being moved for your sake. King makers. Are being moved for your sake. All through their life. They have been prepared. Because of you. Their positions.

[6:29] Have been given to them. Because of you. For your day has come. And your night has come. In the name of Jesus. Your time has come. And so all of.

[6:40] Peter's preparation. Was on to this day. Yes. Other things will come. But this day was so crucial. In the calendar of God. And so there had to be. Shiftings. There had to be.

[6:51] Movement. There had to be. Rearrangements. Because as far as. Peter was concerned. He wasn't going to. House of a Gentile. But oh. God. Knows how to move people.

[7:02] You see. When you see chess like that. God is the master chess player. He's moving people. He's rearranging people. He's rearranging people. For your sake. In the name of Jesus. Somebody will come back.

[7:14] To testify. That people of importance. Were put in position. For my sake. In the name of Jesus. What you have not labored for. You will receive it. In the name of Jesus.

[7:25] What you have not sweat for. You will receive it. In the name of Jesus. And above all. We see in scripture.

[7:36] Peter begins to share the gospel with them. He's completely amazed. At what God has done. As far as he's concerned. He never knew.

[7:47] That the coming of Jesus. Include people like you and I. Starting from a man like Cornelius. An Italian. How can he have a portion. In the covenant. Of God.

[7:58] But he had it. People will look at you and think. You don't deserve some things. But I bet you. As long as we are fasting. As long as we are praying. As long as we are giving.

[8:09] And our record of labor. Is before God. It will speak for you. In the name of Jesus. It is speaking for you. In the name of Jesus. What has not happened in your bloodline.

[8:21] Will happen for you. You will be the beginning. You will be a place setter. In the name of Jesus. Because you are fasting. Because you are praying.

[8:31] Because you have a memorial. Before God. God is changing your story. He's making you the beginning of new things. The beginning of new things. The opening of the womb.

[8:42] Of destiny. Your family. And your bloodline. In the name of Jesus. Look. I always say this. We read so many things in the scriptures.

[8:54] But we don't experience enough. And my desire. Is that I will experience the fullness of God. That which has been written in the scriptures. Will be my own testimony.

[9:05] And I pray for you. That you will also experience God. The God that has been written about. In the scriptures. He will be your God. And you will experience him. In the name of Jesus. Above all.

[9:20] When he continued to preach the gospel. Bearing in mind. Colerius has never heard about Jesus. He's never heard about the cross. He's never heard about forgiveness of sins.

[9:31] He has no clue. But. His fasting. His praying. His alms giving. I would say his works.

[9:42] Was a memorial before God. And there was a time coming. And the time was now on that faithful day. That God. Had to move things. To make sure.

[9:53] That his fasting. That his praying. The memorial that was before God. Will never go in vain. Will never be in vain. Will never go to waste. And it will be the same for you.

[10:05] In the name of Jesus. If you serve in the house of God. Get ready. If you are fasting. Get ready. If you are praying. Get ready.

[10:16] It is a memorial before God. And God is about to show forth. He's about to show forth. Don't give up. Don't give in. He's about to show forth.

[10:28] He's a faithful God. Romans chapter 8 verse 28. It says. For we know. For we know. We are convinced. That all things.

[10:39] Are waiting together. For the good of those who love him. And are called according to his purpose. This fasting is working for somebody. Hey. I can't wait to hear your testimony. This fasting is working for you.

[10:51] This praying is working for you. Thank you Jesus. And above all. As Peter speak. In verse 44.

[11:02] It said the Holy Spirit. Fell upon them. And it said. It fell upon all. All who had. Every one.

[11:12] Every one of us. Who is in this ship. We will experience the coming of the Holy Ghost. Which is a sign of God himself. Coming upon us. For enablement.

[11:24] For exploits. For amazing things. For the supernatural. For strength things. For the manifestation of the power of God. For God's power to be manifested. To do amazing things.

[11:36] To do strength things. In the mighty name of Jesus. Jesus. Yes. The coming of the Holy Ghost. Was the beginning. Of. What eyes have not seen.

[11:47] What ears have not heard. Either had he entered into the heart of man. Or God has prepared for us. It wasn't possible for anybody to know. But eyes had not seen.

[11:57] But God did it. Ears have not heard. But God did it. It didn't enter into the heart of any man. But God did it. He will do it for you too. Amen. Amen. It's a good thing.

[12:10] To fast. It's a good thing. To pray. It's a good thing. To give. And build a memorial. Before God. Because God is a rewarder.

[12:22] Of those who diligently seek him. Hallelujah. Do you believe this? Do you believe this? Let's put on today's reading.

[12:35] Was it not such a blessing? Amen. God is speaking in Psalm 44. He said, We have heard with our ears, O God. Our fathers have told us.

[12:48] The deeds you did. In their days. And in the days of old. You drove out the nations with your hand. But them you planted.

[13:00] As some people were being driven out. Others were being planted. Some people were being displaced. So that this will look like God is not fair. But God is fair to us.

[13:10] God is good to us. I don't know what God wants to do with your enemies. But all I know. He is establishing you. He is planting you. In the name of Jesus. Jesus. He said, You drove the nations.

[13:25] Just for a people. It's not one nation. He said nations. He drove them out. Just for a group of people. For one nation. At that time. They hadn't even been formed properly as a nation.

[13:35] But they drove nations out. For their sake. You wouldn't serve this God. Who would we serve? He said you afflicted the peoples. And cast them out. For they did not gain possession of the land.

[13:48] By their own sword. You don't have to fight. It's not every battle. You have to fight. It's not every battle. I tell you. There are some victories.

[13:59] You have to ride on the back of the Lord. And enter. Enter your promised land. The Lord must pull the sword out. And fight on your behalf. And say, Enter my child.

[14:11] It's not everything you have to fight for. If you have to work for everything. Your labors will be many. You will even have the strength to enjoy your labors. I bet you. Because the life. If you have to fight every point.

[14:24] It will be a sad story. There are some victories. It has to be sweatless. Some victories must be sweatless. You just woke up.

[14:34] And it was done. You just spoke. It entered your heart. And God did it. You thought about it. And God made it to happen. That has to be the story.

[14:46] And the testimony of believers. The people of God. He said. Nor did their own arms save them. But it was your right hand.

[14:57] Your arm and the light of your countenance. Because. Because. You favored them. I pray that you enjoy the favor of God.

[15:09] Enjoy the favor of God. Enjoy sweatless victories. In the name of Jesus. It's not everything you fight for.

[15:20] I honestly don't believe that. There are some battles. You might as well say God. This is on you. You might as well say God. This is on you. Your favor will take care of this one.

[15:32] Your favor will take care of that one. Your favor will take care of my marriage. Your favor will take care of my career. Your favor will take care of my education. Your favor will take care of everything I'm trying to do in life.

[15:44] Let your favor speak for me. Let your favor speak for me. Where I'm being questioned and I don't have answers, let your favor respond. When I'm being questioned with questions that I don't have answers for, let your favor respond.

[16:00] In the name of Jesus. Look, there's nothing like enjoying the favor of God. Even enjoying the favor of men can change your life.

[16:11] That's why Jesus had favor before God and men. Yeah. Enjoying favor before men is a very beautiful thing. I've seen a few people with favor. It's very amazing.

[16:23] When good people, people of importance, people with influence, the high and the low, when you find favor before them, life is easy.

[16:34] Honestly. Some of us, we believe in hard life. Me, I don't believe in hard life. You don't have to have a hard life, oh. I'm telling you, some of you, you are hard.

[16:45] It's like everything, I want to fight. I want to fight. No. No. We're content for the faith. But life here, oh. I don't want stress.

[16:56] I want to have, if I have strength to fight, I want to fight for the faith. I don't want to fight for cars. I don't want to fight for houses. I don't. I don't.

[17:08] I want my strength, my energy, my passion, my zeal to be for the kingdom. Other things, let the favor of God deal with it. Let the favor of God answer.

[17:19] Material things, temporal things, the favor of God can deal with it. Look, if you have favor, before people of wealth, they just call you and they want to favor you.

[17:31] They said, I woke up and I thought of you. I want to wire this to you. I want to help you this way. Even as a pastor, if I have favor before you, you see how nice you'll be to me.

[17:43] May God increase my favor before you. Honestly, you'll be very nice to me. That is the favor of men. How much more? The favor of God.

[17:56] If you, if when you think about your work, you want to progress, you want to do this, you want to do that. Just pray this to you. Because you favor them. Lord, favor me. Lord, favor me.

[18:08] Lord, favor me. I want to enjoy your favor. The favor of God can change your story overnight. Overnight.

[18:19] It just has to enter one person's heart. One person of influence's heart. It just has to enter the person's heart. And it's because they slept and God stared their hearts.

[18:30] They were sitting down and God put your name in their mind. They saw your picture and said, I forgot about this person. I was supposed to help this person. Chimp victories.

[18:42] God said, I declare victory. And today God is saying, chimp victories. In the name of Jesus. God is adding to it. He says, sweat, let victories.

[18:54] Chimp victories. Easy victories. In the name of Jesus. Jesus. It says, you are my king, O God. Command victories for Jacob.

[19:07] Say to yourself, you are my king, O God. Put your name there. Command victories for our world. Put your name there. Don't repeat. You are my king, O God.

[19:18] Command victories for our world. Command victories for charis. In the name of Jesus. Through you, we will push down our enemies.

[19:29] Through your name, we have trampled those. Who rise against us. You will see that after a season like this, your enemies are not your problem. You know, there's a way that you can be thinking about how people are working against you so much that you lose focus on important things in life.

[19:48] Sometimes people, even the things people come and tell you. All of a sudden, you were happy. Joy is gone. Joy is gone. Completely. Like we read yesterday and the day before.

[19:59] My soul, why are you that quietest in me? It's like you are not happy anymore. Hope thou in God. You just have to say, please, let's trust God. Why? Because you heard evil news.

[20:12] Then may God spare you from evil news. In the name of Jesus. He said, there are people who want to trample against us. But it didn't work. Through his name.

[20:23] The name Jesus. The name Jesus. Through your name, we will trample those who rise against us. For we shall not trust in our bow. We have bows.

[20:35] You know? So some of us are very intelligent. Some of us are very smart. Very hardworking and all of that. But it said the victories that the Lord gives you. It will be more than your intelligence. It will be more than your hard work.

[20:46] It will be more than your natural connections. It has to be. Or it will not be the blessing of the Lord. That makes rich and has no sorrow. God has a way he can bless you.

[20:58] In a way that it took what you have. You don't qualify. But you have been given. What you have. You don't qualify. But it is yours. Nobody can challenge you on it.

[21:11] These are the kind of victories they enjoyed. You can imagine going to Jericho. And you didn't pull a sword. We didn't shed one blood. But they got the city. This is what God can do. They didn't pull one sword.

[21:25] They didn't shed one blood. But they got the victory. This is the victory the Lord has secured for you. For his people. He said you have saved us from our enemies.

[21:36] You have put to shame. Those who hated us. In God we boast all day long. And praise your name forever.

[21:47] The way you will be boasting in your God. We will praise him forever. We will praise him forever. We will praise him forever. From the rising of the sun.

[21:59] To the going down of the sand. We will praise him forever. On the morning and in the evening. We will praise him forever. In our going out and in our coming in. We will praise him forever.

[22:11] Because he has done wondrous things for us. I believe this is such a rima word for today's reading. Somebody throughout the year.

[22:21] You need to be coming back. Coming back. Coming back. Because God wants to give you an everlasting testimony. That your children and your children's children will be referring to it.

[22:32] An everlasting testimony. That not just for yourself. But your families and your generations after you. Who go back to God and quote. And God you did this for my mother. You did this for my father.

[22:43] And on that basis I stand upon it. And I demand another breakthrough. I demand a new day. I demand your hand will show forth. One more time. In the name of Jesus.
