[0:00] Welcome, and thank you for joining this message by David Entry at Carish Church.! In this season of Great Awakening, may God pour out His Spirit through His Word,! Refreshing your hearts and awakening you to His will.

[0:17] Hebrews chapter 6, verse 12, reading through to 19. That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

[0:37] For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself, saying, surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

[0:51] And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

[1:09] Wherein God willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.

[1:34] Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil.

[1:46] Here ends the reading of God's Word. Please, let's pray. Father, thank you for the privilege to come together to hear your Word. We pray that let your Word find a place in our hearts.

[1:57] Give us discerning ears. I will hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Bless our hearing with every word from above.

[2:08] Bless our hearing with soft hearts. Bless our hearing with willingness to obey and prompting us to act, so that in all things your name will be glorified.

[2:23] And eyes will see that we are truly blessed of you. To your glory in Jesus' name. Amen. So I want to talk about entering the promises of God.

[2:41] Because God has said so much. Because our God is a speaking God. He's always speaking. The Jehovah God of Israel. The God of Abraham.

[2:53] The God of Isaac. The God of Jacob. The God of Jesus and the God of the church. He's a speaking God. So in Genesis chapter 12, verse 1, he says, For God has said to Abraham.

[3:06] In Genesis chapter 1, verse 3, Then God said. Verse 6, Then God said. Verse 9, 11, 16. God keeps saying.

[3:17] Because by nature, he's a speaking God. So then if he's a speaking God, to really benefit with your work with God, You must have developed a listening ear.

[3:32] So in Revelation chapter 2, verse 7, verse 11, verse 17, verse 29, chapter 3, verse 6, chapter 3, verse 13, chapter 3, verse Revelation.

[3:43] I'm talking about chapter 3, verse 22. He said, He who has an ear. He who has an ear. Let him. You are advantaged. You are benefited immensely. If you can develop a listening ear.

[3:56] What makes a man of God a man of God? His ability to hear from God. What makes a man of God? And what makes a man of God walk in blessings is because of their ability to hear.

[4:12] Deuteronomy chapter 28, from verse 1, it says that, If you shall harkin, he shall come to God. If you, give us a new King James.

[4:23] He said, If you diligently obey what? The voice. Obey the voice. The King James said, Harkin diligently.

[4:36] Diligently onto the voice. So King James said, Harkin. Harkin means listening to do. Obey the voice of God.

[4:49] What is it that God is telling you? And it has been clouded by your desires. Sometimes our desires and our feelings and our preoccupation can cloud the voice of God in our lives.

[5:04] If you come close to God, the first thing that happens to you is you hear. I was in the spirit on the Lord's day and I heard the voice. Shhh. How are you doing church and you are not hearing God?

[5:16] Praying and you are not hearing God. God is a speaking God. So God said to Abraham, Move. But the voice of God comes with two things always.

[5:31] He comes with an ability to obey. Can I say that again? Every voice of God comes with an ability to obey.

[5:45] It's like when you take any tablet. Sometimes it's put in. How do you call those things? Capsules. Yes. The capsules.

[5:57] What is inside? It's not a capsule you are just taking. But the content inside is what works. It carries. It has something that when it enters your system, it begins to do something to your system.

[6:10] So you can take medication, a tablet, and after a few minutes or 30 minutes, you become drowsy. Because it's having an effect on you.

[6:21] The voice of God comes with an ability to have an effect. What effect? It's having an effect. Obeying effect. So that when God speaks to you, you then have to choose.

[6:34] You have what it takes to obey, and you can choose not to obey. God can't speak to you, and it's too hard for you to do. Because, so the one God has not spoken to, God doesn't demand obedience from them.

[6:48] Because you can't obey God if he hasn't helped you to. So when God appeared to Abraham and said, move, that word, move, came with an inherent ability to obey.

[7:03] That's why God can't judge us based on what he has told us. So number one, it comes with an inherent ability to obey. And number two, it also comes with a promise of fulfillment when obeyed.

[7:21] So when you obey God, you definitely will see something from God in your benefits and your interests. Do you understand what I'm saying? When you obey God, you don't obey God and then nothing happens and you are just normal.

[7:36] When you obey God, your conditions change. The narratives concerning your life change. Or the outcome of your story is altered. When you obey God, when you obey God, so can you imagine if your life is a combination of several obedience, how you don't even need to be fighting demons.

[7:57] They'll be fighting for a space to operate. Because their obedience to God shocks demonic operations. It stifles. It pulls.

[8:08] It draws out the oxygen from the operation. It denies the enemy's activity oxygen. They start to choke. So sometimes, an obedient person doesn't even have to bother about a demon.

[8:24] A demon is coming. It's familiar with Wigglesworth. He was asleep. And then he had downstairs some movement. He was there in the house and looked. I think it was a dream or some encounter.

[8:35] He said, what is my Adam making? So he went downstairs. And then when he saw, he saw your demon. Demon. He said, oh, demon. He went back to sleep. Demon too.

[8:47] A demon is not a threat when you are walking in obedience. He said, they will spend their years in pleasure if they obey. In Job chapter 10, 26 or 19.

[8:58] If we walk in obedience, we will spend our years. It says, here's the thing. Job chapter 36. If they obey and serve God, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures.

[9:13] Never forget this. If they obey. That's why when we come to church, central part of what is happening in church is delivery of God's word.

[9:24] The adventurer someone will hear the voice of God. Because your ability to obey is in the voice. It's in the voice. When the voice hits your system, it then begins to dissolve.

[9:36] Then it gives you an ability to obey. So then you can be preoccupied by your own instincts and own desires and own plans that you choose. No, no. I will do this my own way.

[9:48] When it comes to obeying God, the reason why it becomes a choice is sometimes you want to stay in your comfort zone. It's so convenient. But you are conveniently passing.

[9:58] So God will always speak. And when God speaks, watch this. It comes. The voice of God is the promise of God.

[10:11] Because, you know, I said when God speaks and gives you an instruction, it comes with obedience. And number two, it comes with ability for fulfillment. So that fulfillment, it's always beneficial to the recipient of the instruction.

[10:27] So God wants to do something good for you. But his plans to do something good for you will always be preceded with instructions. And the instructions come inherently with ability to obey, grace to obey.

[10:46] And then the instruction, the ultimate result of the end of the instruction is manifestation. So when God speaks, it's actually a promise. Right.

[10:57] Right. Is someone getting what I'm saying? Yes. It's a promise. So God spoke to Abraham. God is a God of promises. He said, I will do this.

[11:09] I will do this. I will do this. I will do this. And then when God gave the promise from the text we read in Hebrews chapter 6 from verse 13.

[11:22] So when God swore to Abraham, when God made a promise to Abraham, because he could swear, the promise, you see, for you to bang your hopes on it, you need something to say this thing can work.

[11:34] That's human nature. That's human nature. And God is not against that. That's why in church sometimes we see testimonies. Have you realized that the Bible is one big book of testimonies?

[11:45] Yes. And stories of even people who could not be eaten by lions. People, human beings who were thrown into fire that burned the people who threw them in.

[11:56] But they could not be consumed. This is wild testimony. A young lady who told an angel, be it unto me according to your word. And then she got pregnant without involvement of any other human being.

[12:10] This thing full of testimony. A woman, an old lady who was gone past, way past monopause. A woman was already dead. Because she just got faithful. She conceived and has a miracle boy called Isaac.

[12:25] Did you understand? Full of testimony. David killed Goliath. Somebody didn't need a life jacket. God threw him off board. But because God was with her life jacket, without the same life guard.

[12:41] God said, don't worry, I've prepared a whale. The whale would be a submarine for him. And the whale threw him out. Before submarine was invented.

[12:54] And it threw him out. Where he was supposed to go and preach. He jumped on the boat to go a different direction. He was going to Tarshish.

[13:05] The whale brought him to Nineveh. So, the stories are too many. Too many Elijah. Elisha. So many testimonies.

[13:17] Even in the New Testament. Peter's mother-in-law. The woman with the issue of blood. So many testimonies. So many testimonies. So that those testimonies become the platform of your confidence in what God.

[13:31] Because if he had done it. Him being the same yesterday. Today. And forever. You can count on him.

[13:41] And it even gets better for those of us in Christ. Because in 1 Corinthians 1 verse 20.

[13:53] He said, for all. No, son. My goodness. For all the promises of God. In Christ. Ah, yes.

[14:03] Have you ever seen someone say that. And I have some goodies for you guys. I have a goodies for you.

[14:14] And then somebody said. Hey, thank you. He said, no, no. I'm not talking about you. I was talking to. You understand. They are talking to somebody. But he said, oh, thank you. No, no. But it's not you. Or they give somebody.

[14:25] Yeah. Store card. You know people who work. Staff discount. Yeah. It doesn't work. The discount is only for staff. So the M&S comes.

[14:36] He said, now the staff discount is going to be 75% off. You a normal customer can't be rejoicing. Because it's not got anything to do with you.

[14:47] So they can make a promise to somebody. And you can cash in on it. But here he says that. Even if the promise was for somebody. All of them. So long as if you are in Christ.

[14:57] Then it's yes for you too. Yes. You didn't shout out. Because you don't believe it. That means nobody sitting here. Or under the sound of my voice.

[15:08] Is permitted to be barren. Yes. Because there's no barrenness in the Bible. Yes. Yes. Apart from the one who downplayed David when he was praising God.

[15:20] Yes. There's no barrenness. No woman in the Bible was barren. No woman. It's a promise. You can take it. You can take it. Because if you are in Christ. It's yes.

[15:31] All the promises. So during this period of fasting and waiting on God. We kept hearing. You are done with Egypt. God is the mastermind behind all that.

[15:43] To take you out of it. It's God. God Bible says that he brought them with an outstretched arm. So they didn't just come out by themselves. But he brought them out. So if you are coming out of Egypt.

[15:53] If you are coming out of a place of mediocrity. Coming out of a place of struggle and frustration. Then it's not because you are so strong and macho. But it's because God is willing it. And God is planning it.

[16:04] You understand what I'm saying? God has come to us. This period of fasting. Some of us. Your fasting is going to bring amazing testimonies. I'm telling you.

[16:16] Many. One of the things I've also discovered about life. Particularly the life of fasting. Is that when you fast for something major. The result tends to be permanent. It brings you a permanent result.

[16:30] That casts a shadow over the rest of your life. And beyond. Yeah. So there are promises. But what I'm concerned about is.

[16:40] If we are not careful. Somebody will graduate. From the place. Of stepping into the promise. Because you've graduated. I've done it. I've finished. Then you go back to normal life.

[16:51] What's normal life? What's normal life? A life of disobedience. A life of sin. A life of bitterness. A life of offense. A life of nonchalance. Towards the things of God.

[17:02] What is normal life? So somebody might think. It's a season. You are doing something. I'm going back to normal life. There's no normal life. This is your normal life. This is your normal life.

[17:17] So then. There are so many promises. Sometimes. God will speak to you. Prophesy to somebody. You prophesy. And the word was true. But it might not come to pass. Because there is a way.

[17:27] Or there are things to do. To enter into the promises of God. Do you understand what I'm saying? To enter into the promises of God. I think I have just five. Let me just give them to you.

[17:39] Number one. How do you enter into the promises of God? The first one is the master one. Me. So long as I'm concerned. If you get that right. All the others will be right. Who just are likely to fall in place.

[17:50] But the first one. Is I. You know. I have this. Attitude. And I have a tendency. Of wanting to give you the scripture. Because giving you the point. So that your focus comes on it.

[18:01] And then you deduce. The facts from the text. We've been hearing. In Exodus chapter 12 verse 11. That. This is how you are going to come out. You have to eat with your.

[18:12] Belt on your waist. And your sandals on your feet. And we're talking about. And then your staff in your hand. We've been talking about. Put on your shoes. Put on your shoes. Put on. Listen.

[18:22] You are not ready to travel. You know. When you finish everything. Most of the time. Your shoes are last. Yes. Shoes are last. And then. Depending on where it is.

[18:34] Some of us. The shoes are under the bed. So it's the first. You know. Many homes. Kind of. They have. Coats.

[18:44] And shoes. Are there. Yeah. Shoes are usually last. Winter. Summer. Really. Some of us. It's our coat.

[18:55] And our hats. Because. But. Put on your shoes. If you are ready to go. Move out of Egypt. Change location.

[19:07] Change the scene. In your life story. Put on your shoes. When we say. Get your shoes on. What does it actually mean? That's what I want you to. That's why I say. It's big for me.

[19:17] It says. In Ephesians. Chapter 6. Put. When it. Put on the whole. Armor of God. That after this fasting. You'll be able to stand. You'll fall back.

[19:31] That's how things used to be. So. Put on the. Whole armor of God. That he may be able. To withstand. In the evil day. And having that. All things. To stand. Then he begins to say.

[19:42] Put on the belt of truth. The breastplate of righteousness. Then. Having your. Oh. Feet has come in here. What should you do with your feet?

[19:53] Shoe. Shoe. Okay. What's the shoe there then? What kind of shoe are you supposed to put on? I know some people are struggling to interpret it. Having.

[20:05] Shoe. Your feet. Let's change the translation. Let's use. NIV. With your feet. Fitted with readiness. That come. Oh. There's a readiness.

[20:15] That comes from. Embracing the gospel. Readiness for whatever God will do in your life. The shoe is a readiness. But. You are not ready.

[20:26] If the gospel is not in your heart. You are not ready for the promise of God. What do I mean by the gospel? The core. Aspects.

[20:36] Of. What actually brings you into thinking. God has to do something for you. So some people can come to church. I need a miracle. I need a miracle. You know. But Jesus is Lord.

[20:47] No. I'm not interested in that one. I need a miracle. You know. I was explaining that. The lamb. So. The facts of the gospel. Must be the facts of your heart. They must be the basis of your relationship with God.

[21:01] How many of us here are born again before. And. After you became born again. You have slipped into sin. And you've been maybe lying. Or. You got upset. And you gossip about. You know something.

[21:12] How many of us have slipped into sin before? So you see. That's a problem. Because God doesn't like sin. So then. How are you going to. See. But when you understand. The gospel. It doesn't matter how low.

[21:24] A Christian falls into sin. You can always come boldly. Before the throne of grace. That is fundamental. Because listen. Satan can use guilt.

[21:34] To block you. Some of us. You know. There are things that God promised. And God will do. But I guess. By the time in your life. You feel like. You don't qualify again. Because you move into your boyfriend's house. Do you understand?

[21:49] You. Because of. Something. There are people. That's why church folks. Have to be. Very careful. When we are. We know about. What others are doing.

[21:59] What they shouldn't do. We have to be very careful. Because somebody may be living. In his girlfriend's house. But. His heart is broken. He's always crying. I don't want this.

[22:10] I don't. God help me. And you two. You are busy judging. Look at you. How can you be living there? Any Christian. Who sees a brother. Or a sister. At a fault. Or in a compromised state.

[22:21] You shouldn't be first. How can you do this? Excuse me. Don't go there. Show love. See how you can help. Let's work this through. Let's work. And it's like. I didn't see anything. I didn't hear anything.

[22:31] I don't know. Let's work this through. So that you can be strong. Because I know you are genuine Christian. Just that. You've been compromised. At this stage of your life. Drop it and let's go.

[22:42] So. Embrace the gospel. Sometimes things can be going on in your life. You should be able always to remember the gospel. And come back to Jesus.

[22:53] And when you are in Jesus. Stay on the gospel. And stay true. Say. I cannot do this against my Lord. I'm not just talking about sin. But the message. The truth. What makes you Christian.

[23:04] Should be the foundation of your relationship with God. And never lose sight of that. So Paul told Timothy. In 2 Timothy chapter 1 verse 8. Be not ashamed of the testimony of our Lord.

[23:15] In Romans chapter 1 verse 16. I'm not ashamed of the gospel. In Romans chapter 16 verse 25. He said. God is able to establish you by my gospel. She said.

[23:26] The gospel plays a major role. So long as what God can do in your life is concerned. Does that make sense? The gospel plays a major role. The gospel is a big factor.

[23:37] As long as what God can do in your life is concerned. Praise the Lord. And in Romans chapter 10 verse 15. It says that.

[23:48] And how shall they preach? Unless they are sent. As it is written. How beautiful are the feet. Of those who preach the gospel of feet. There is something about readiness. In the gospel.

[23:59] Readiness for what God will do in your life. So it says. Jesus Christ in Matthew chapter 4 verse 17. He came preaching. Repent. For the kingdom of heaven is high.

[24:10] And he began to preach the gospel. It was preaching and repent. Because when you are ready for God. It starts with the gospel. For Jesus Christ.

[24:21] As you may say. His manifesto. Entered into the synagogue. Luke chapter 4 verse 16. He was given to read. And then he read where Isaiah said. And then he read verse 18.

[24:32] He said. For the spirit of the Lord is upon me. Because he has anointed me. To preach. That's the foundation. First is the gospel. Before all the other things are built on it.

[24:45] Amen. So. How do you prepare. To enter into the promise of God. Lay hold of the gospel. Or embrace the gospel. The gospel is a message.

[24:56] It's a fact. It's the truth of God. The truth of God you have. Is what will preserve you. In the days of adversities. The truth of God. Number two.

[25:07] Follow others. Who should you follow? Not everybody. In Hebrews chapter 6 verse 12. He said. Don't be slothful. That means following requires some hard work.

[25:19] Don't be slothful. Don't be lazy. But followers of those who. Through faith and patience. Inherit their promises. You see. There are some who have already inherited. Follow their steps.

[25:31] Follow them. You must have some role models. How many of you have been in. In fact. Even this fasting. Many of us who did dry fasting. Were inspired by others.

[25:44] Were inspired. Oh wow. You are pushing that much. Follow some of us. Who have fasted. And have seen results. With sin. Somebody who have fasted.

[25:55] Being fasted is not for me. And keep eating. That's your. Roam model. You understand what I'm saying. During the fasting. They never came for that. Then they will come and be.

[26:06] There. But. Follow others. Who you follow matters. You know. Who you follow determines. What you see on your way. Anything they see.

[26:17] You also see it. And then. Their destination. Eventually becomes your destination. That's why I said. Follow those. Who through faith and patience. Obtain the promise.

[26:30] So look at their results. And advise yourself. Before you make someone your ally. I think it will be prudent. To respect their results. Don't ignore the results.

[26:42] Someone is advising you. About your marriage. Because of the way. Your wife has been talking to you. Or husband. Meanwhile. It's divorcee. The third time divorcee. Do you understand that? Don't disrespect them.

[26:54] But you must understand. Maybe this person. Doesn't have the working knowledge. To advise me on my matter. Maybe he has something to say. But you have to take it with a pitch of salt. Because. Respect.

[27:04] Look at their results. To advise yourself. Whether it's worth following them. The results you want. Can you get it from this person? How do you enter their promise?

[27:14] Follow people. You've seen them working in the promise. Number three. Quickly. Consistent obedience. Consistent. Obedience matters. Prophet Elijah told them.

[27:25] I'm going to wash. Simply obedience. The young girl said. He just told you. Go and wash. Why don't you just do it? He didn't ask for anything complicated. Just do it and see. And he went and did it. And he saw it.

[27:36] When you look at true scriptures. There's so much obedience. Obedience. Obedience. Noah saved his whole house. Through obedience. All family. Obedience. You enter into the promise of God.

[27:48] By walking in obedience. Deuteronomy chapter 28. Verse 1 to 3. If you shall hearken to obey. Then all this. Said it shall come to pass.

[27:59] If thou shall hearken diligently. Unto the voice of the Lord thy God. To observe. To do all his commandments. Which I command thee this day. That the Lord thy God. Will set thee up on high.

[28:10] Above all nations. On the earth. And all these blessings. Shall come. There are blessings that you have seen. It's the promise. They'll come. Unto thee. And overtake thee.

[28:21] If thou shall hearken. Unto the voice. Of thy God. Verse 3. Blessed shall thou be in the city. Blessed shall thou be in the field. Wherever you find yourself.

[28:33] Blessings follow you. Why? Because of your obedience. In the book of Job 36. We saw it earlier on. Verse 11. It says. If they shall obey. They shall spend their days. In prosperity.

[28:45] He said. If they shall obey and serve him. They shall spend their days. In prosperity. And their years. In pleasures. Say amen. Amen. Number 4. We are going 5.

[28:56] Number 4. Is. Patient endurance. Patient endurance. Hebrews chapter 6. Is the foundational text. We read. Verse 12. It says that.

[29:07] Watch this. Shall we all read it out from the screen. We've been aware since we did that. Let's go. That I will not. Become sluggish. But imitators. Those who. Through faith and patience.

[29:18] Inherited. How did they inherit? Through faith and patience. So. Patient. Patiently waiting. Psalm 40 verse 1.

[29:28] I waited patiently for the Lord. And he climbed to me. And heard my cry. Look at verse 15 of. Hebrews chapter 6. The same chapter. Through faith and patience. You need patience.

[29:40] It says that. And so. After. He had. Patiently endured. He obtained. Did you see how he obtained? How did he obtain the promise? After. So promise is always.

[29:51] After. So. Don't be in a hurry. Even though God said. He'll do it in a hurry. Because. If you're in a hurry. You'll be operating by chronos. You see.

[30:03] Let me tell you something later. About the timing of God. When it comes to God's timing. God has the ability. To expand time. What do I mean? The sun's too still. The time was okay.

[30:13] But God was able to. Orchestrate. Increase the 24 hours. Yes. God can expand time. Didn't you remember. Hezekiah was sick unto death. In Isaiah chapter 58. And he said.

[30:24] Oh I don't want to die. And he pleaded with God. God gave him 50 more years. In Matthew chapter 24. Bible says that. If the days are not cut short. If the time is not shorting.

[30:36] The elect. So God can also shorten the. Unless the days were shorting. No flesh will be saved.

[30:48] The days of the tribulation. God can shorten the time. So God can. Expand time. He can. He can shorten time. And in Joel chapter 2.

[31:00] From verse 25. He can restore time. I will restore to you. Yes. No days.

[31:13] No hours. No weeks. Yes. Wasted years. Lost years. God said. I can restore them to you.

[31:27] Amen. God can restore years. Yes. When you are with God. Don't think you have wasted your time. Amen. Don't think you have wasted your time.

[31:38] The years that the locusts are eating. The years that the cancowep. The palmer. The caterpillar. The chewing locusts. The years. He said. God said. I will restore.

[31:50] Years. I will restore. What have you lost for years? Trying to obey God. God can restore years. Amen. Amen. Amen. So.

[32:01] You have been praying. For so long. About one thing. Something that should take 10 years. God can make it happen. In one month. Amen. Amen. Amen. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.

[32:12] Walk with God and trust him and obey him. Walk with God and trust him and obey him. Trust and obey. For there's no other way.

[32:24] To be happy in Jesus. But to trust and obey. Trust and obey God. Don't do this in wishy-washy. And maybe I'll just give it a try.

[32:35] Trust and choose to obey. He's able to restore to you. He's able to shorten the time. Listen. Do you hear stories? It takes this number of years to be able to do this.

[32:47] God can shorten the time. He can turn years into weeks. So trust God. So trust God.

[32:58] Patiently endure. And wait. Just what matters is your eyes are on God. Hold on to the gospel. And wait. I say wait on the Lord the songwriter said wait on the Lord wait on the Lord he will renew their strength the young men faint and fall Isaiah chapter 40 verse 30 he said young men will be weary but they that wait on the Lord even the youth verse 30 he said even the youth shall faint and be weary and young men shall utterly fall but they that wait shall renew their strength I patiently waited in Hebrews chapter 10 verse 36 I think you will like this one he says that for we have need of the same as patience look at King James King James will tell you he's patient we have need of patience that after we have done the will of God we will so the promise don't say because I'm fasting does it no you haven't finished you haven't finished your engagement with God do you understand that you finish the fasting but you have not finished waiting on God the fasting doesn't mean the time has come the fasting means that you have given something away sacrificially now you wait for God and you shut that bus this is going to be strong when it comes to waiting on the promise of God you have to have this internal resolve that I will wait till my last breath

[34:40] I will believe God even if I'm dying till my last breath Hebrews chapter 11 verse 13 it says that they died having not obtained the promise but still they believed these all died in faith having not received the promise but having seen it they know that God is faithful so the faithfulness of God gave them the title they have it even though they have not stayed on the land they knew it so they died in faith even though they have been physically receiving they knew the faithfulness of God has given it to them faithful is he who has promised Hebrews chapter 10 verse 23 it says that he who promise is faithful tell somebody God is faithful say to somebody God is too faithful to fail why am I talking about the faithfulness of God that is what you need to be able to wait because if he says he's coming he's going to come do you understand that if God said it then wait for him it doesn't matter how long it takes you won't die before he comes many people listening to the sound of my voice the plan of God for your life will be fulfilled before you die and then finally finally fear not for there's no other way to be happy

[36:05] Jesus and obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus how to slow and obey let me just give this last point fear not faith forward just move forward in faith he says that Hebrews 6 12 love is love but followers of those who through faith and patience endured you need faith you need patience these two are master keys he says that we go through all kinds of tribulations Romans chapter 5 but our tribulations it produces patience and patience produces not only that but we glory in tribulation knowing that tribulation works patience it is producing it's changing in fact when the enemy thinks he's discouraging you rather

[37:19] God is using that discouragement to build muscles of patience patience is a spiritual muscle that you need to be able to hold on to the promise so Hebrews chapter 6 again verse 18 he says God has given all these promises so that by two immutable things in which it's impossible for God to lie we might have strong consolation who have fledged to lay hold on their hope that's the hope but it's coming with so much discouragement but you need consolation you need the strength so you don't give up fear not God has said everything has put everything in place to keep you going fear not be a man of faith be a woman of faith don't join the naysayers just trust and obey when we walk with the Lord in the light of his word for the glory gloriously on our way whilst we do his good will whilst we do his good will he abides he abides he is with us
