Discover the strategic transition from the Old Covenant to the age of grace. David Antwi explores how the Church serves as God’s current representative on earth and how the 'great mystery' of Ephesians reveals our spiritual identity as the literal body of Christ.
[0:00] Hallelujah. Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2,! Our Christ Centred Youth Services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.
[0:13] May Jesus Christ reveal Himself to you as you listen. Church. Somebody say Church. Church is the representative of God on earth.
[0:30] The other time I was talking about the revelation of God. How does God reveal Himself to people?
[0:46] Number one, in nature. That's why the more you do research, the more you cannot run away from the fact that there is God.
[1:00] So, how many of you have maybe seen movies or heard about people in ancient times or antiquity?
[1:14] Or when you meet people in some remotest part of the world who don't have any clue of what is going on in the world, one of the things you are guaranteed you'll find, you...
[1:27] There are some things you... That's what makes them human beings. You are guaranteed to find. Number one, you'll find male and female and there's nothing in between.
[1:38] You will always find there are male or men there and women there or boys there and girls there.
[1:48] You won't find a hybrid. That's one. Because that's natural. That's what makes you grow. Even the animal kingdom, there are no hybrid. Now, number two, they eat.
[2:03] So, there will be food. If there's no food, people can make that. All I'm going to do the other way around is better. There will be water. Without water, no one will exist. That's why there's no human being on Mars.
[2:16] Number three, there will be food. Food, right? Else people cannot exist. And on a mild other note, there will also be some system of authority, government, who is in charge.
[2:31] You know, there will always be... There must be... Even the animal kingdom, there will be boundaries. This is your portion and who is in charge here and all that. It doesn't have to be the same way.
[2:43] It doesn't have to be the same way it is everywhere. But I said all these things to draw your attention to one thing that will always be... It's a form of worship.
[2:57] There will always be some form of worship. Human means everywhere. Because it's inbuilt. It comes naturally. The knowledge or the desire to know a certain God somewhere...
[3:14] You don't need to be educated to know. To have that desire. You actually have to be... Butchered educationally to take that desire away from you.
[3:28] So when someone says there's no God, it's because of something somebody has told. Because it's not natural. That's what the Bible says. The fool has said inside there's no God.
[3:39] Because saying there's no God is not natural. So there are some things that are not natural. It doesn't matter where you go. So the knowledge of...
[3:53] The notion of a God somewhere... Everywhere people are, they have that. So by the time you go, they have made their own gods. Yeah, this is our God.
[4:05] Their hands will make their own thing. They do it with their own hands. When they finish, they say, that's my God. I made him. I made my God. It's very interesting.
[4:17] Why is that? Because the notion of God, the knowledge of God is built into nature.
[4:29] It's engineered. It's programmed into nature. So the knowledge of God cannot be denied.
[4:42] So how does God make himself known? Through nature. Number two. How does God make himself known? Through Israel. How many of you have heard about the Amalekites before?
[4:59] How many of you have heard about the Philistines before? The Jebusites. The Hittites. Where are all of them? They've all gone into extinction.
[5:10] The only two people who are still there together as they are for over 4,000 years is the Jews.
[5:25] It's the Jews. One of the kings of England or something of antiquity. He said, he asked the preacher. Why? Can you give me any evidence that God exists?
[5:38] He said, sir. If you ask me this question, is this? The Jews are an evidence that God exists. Because they are the only group of people who have maintained their purity and identity.
[5:53] Yet there's some infiltration at one point, some people. But they've kept it. Do you know why? God gave them that instruction and gave them that ability, inheritability.
[6:07] Do you know why? Because God was going to come down. And he's going to come as Jewish flesh before they contaminated. So he himself entered Abraham's body that was dead.
[6:19] Worked some things out. Powered it. And he entered into Sarah's womb, which was now dead. Romans chapter 4 verse 19. Sarah's womb, which was now dead. And the word of God hits the womb.
[6:30] Sarah relieved. And she was past the age of childbearing. Hebrews 11. 11. And yet she conceived. No, that's supernatural. So both of them couldn't have a child. But the word entered here.
[6:41] The word entered here. They came together. A child was formed. That child was a supernatural child in nature. It was a supernatural flesh that could never exist. But because God said, Abraham, in you, in you, shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
[6:57] Inside you. So I'm going to pull something out of you, which will become the platform for my entrance into the world. And after Jesus came and left, they've kept the tradition and maintained the Jewishness so they don't even mingle with anybody again.
[7:18] But God has moved on from that system. And has gone into the church system. Did you understand? So the church has got forgotten about Israel.
[7:32] He hasn't forgotten about them. But now we are under the covenant of grace. You don't have to be Jewish to be a son of Abraham. Those days, you have to be Jewish. But now, according to Romans chapter 4.
[7:45] Okay, let's start from 11. Let's see. Okay. And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness of faith which he held. So that righteousness of faith he had, he was not circumcised when he had it.
[7:59] And that is what makes us sons of God. It is not the one that comes after circumcision. It is pre-circumcision righteousness of faith. That's the way it says that, and he received a sign of circumcision as it was just a seal of a righteousness of faith which he had before he was circumcised.
[8:20] That he might be the father of all those including us. Hallelujah. If he had had the faith after circumcision, then it's only applied to those who were circumcised.
[8:32] That's why when the Judaizers told the believers that you have to be circumcised, Acts chapter 15 verse 1, before you'll be saved. He said, hey, don't bring that here. Paul said, no, God is not using that system anymore.
[8:44] So, the reason why God did it is that, that's interesting. God comes to somebody, interacts with the person, and the person believes, and the person procures a certain blessing from God which is supposed to be transferred unto others.
[9:02] Others. Then afterwards, God said, because of your darkness, let's enter into a covenant. Then God enters into a covenant of circumcision, and he said, all your children in the flesh must, pardon must be, pardon.
[9:16] So, anyone who is not circumcised, you can't claim to be a proper Jew. That's why the Jews boasted about circumcision. They boasted about the law, and they boasted about the Sabbath day. These three things, if you are a Jew of a necessity, you have to maintain it.
[9:30] That's for the Jews. So, that's why when we became born again, they are trying to bring the law. They say, stay down, keep the law out. They are trying to bring circumcision. They say, keep it out.
[9:41] They are trying to bring Sabbath day. Keep it out. Colossians chapter 2 verse 16. He said, don't let anyone bother you about Sabbath day, holy day, or something. Let no man judge you as a result of food, whether you are eating pork or kosher or whatever.
[9:53] So, Paul says that you eat food offered to idols. 1 Corinthians chapter 10, I think from verse 19 somewhere there, or 20 rather.
[10:06] It said, when they offer food to idols, they are offering it to demons. He said, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils and not to God.
[10:17] So, what spirit are they chanting on this food? Now you see where I'm coming from.
[10:29] Because there's some spiritual dimension to this meat. They've called on demons. But the good news is, if you eat it as a believer, he sanctified it.
[10:46] It's in the Bible. It's that if you saw them chanting and your conscience doesn't help you, you eat it. Your conscience is defiled. But it said, 1 Corinthians chapter 8, verse 7, there is not in everyone that knowledge.
[11:03] For some with conscience of idols, until now, eat it as a thing offered to idols, and their conscience being weak would defile. That's why I'm saying that somebody, he knows that this is not good, he's a believer, but he knows that this is not good.
[11:17] So, don't force the person to eat it. Leave it. You two don't eat it for their sake. But the verse 8 is where I'm going to take it into verse 7, by the way. But food does not command, doesn't bring you to God.
[11:29] Neither, for neither if we eat are we better, nor if we do not eat are we worse. Food is not, God will destroy both of them.
[11:41] Their belly and food will destroy it. Alright, let's go back. So, God gave the circumcision. So, everybody who came after Abraham, as Abraham's natural seed, had to be circumcised.
[11:58] Had to, Genesis chapter 17. Yeah, that's when he said everybody, eight days after they are born, are all male. When the males are covered, the females are covered. Females don't have a problem.
[12:10] The problem is the male. If the men of the society are godly, the women will be godly. If the men are strong, the community is strong. So, circumcise the men because, watch this.
[12:28] The reason why God told Abraham is he was preparing a flesh. Great is the mystery of godliness. Second Timothy chapter 3 verse 16.
[12:38] God was manifested in the flesh. If you are coming in the flesh, you must have a mother. Every community has mothers.
[12:52] And there can never be mothers without fathers. The fathers can be absent. After their pregnancy.
[13:03] But the mother must carry the pregnancy. So, he waited when Abraham couldn't have a son. He breathed new life. Who called it the things that be not.
[13:15] As though they were. And gives life to the dead. So, Abraham, God gave life to Abraham. Romans chapter 4 verse 17. Gave life to Abraham's dead body.
[13:26] And suddenly the body. And Bible says that. Verse 19. Abraham not being weak in faith. He considered not his own body. Which was now dead. Nor the deadness of Sarah's womb.
[13:38] So, two death situations. The word of God brought it to life. And created Isaac. Not Ishmael. That's why in Genesis chapter 22. When God asked for a son. He said, your only son, Isaac.
[13:50] Even though Ishmael was also a son. He was not recognized on the books of heaven. In the books of heaven.
[14:01] He's birthed Abraham's child record. Ishmael was not recognized. Because God called Abraham for something unusual.
[14:12] And Abraham said, to you and thy seed. So, he called him and the people after him. People who are going to come out of him.
[14:24] By the time Solomon died. And after a few years after Solomon. Much of Israel had gone into apostasy. And has mixed up.
[14:37] Leaving those within Jewry. Judea. And Judea was a place covering. The two tribes. Judah.
[14:48] And Benjamin. All the ten tribes. They're gone. So, the authorities. When they took over Jerusalem and the territory.
[15:00] They wiped them off. And brought foreigners to come and live there. Because these Jews. Jews are a manis. Let's get rid of them. I'm talking about.
[15:10] Years. Many, many. After the death of Jesus Christ. Many, many, many years ago. To wipe out the Jews. Let them scatter. So, we don't have any special group of people.
[15:21] But I said. The Jews are a sign of God. They. You can't wipe them out. So, but. Even though they scattered. Wherever they went.
[15:31] They never mixed. Why? Because it's part of their identity. So, they never mixed. You identify them. They never mixed. They scattered into Europe.
[15:42] They never mixed. So, what happened was. Before even the time of Jesus. Watch this. You will never see Samaritans. In the Old Testament. Really. When they were conquered.
[15:53] Then. Their enemies brought. Moabites. To intermarry with the Jews. And so, they got a hybrid. And it's like.
[16:05] Abomination to the Jews. So, the Jews and the Samaritans. No, no, no. You are a mixture of something else. You are a mixed race. Not to say there's something wrong with mixed race.
[16:15] Because God doesn't have a problem with mixed race. But remember. God wanted to keep a black line. For himself. So, the instruction was. Don't join. Don't mix it now. Do you understand that?
[16:27] Don't mix. It wasn't because. It's not mixable. But God was trying to. Preserve a certain line. And so, God doesn't like Gentiles. He said. For you to know. I accept Gentiles. He brought Rahab in.
[16:39] He brought the Moabites. Ruth in. And. For you to know. That I don't have problem. People with past. He brought. The woman. Who went to sleep.
[16:50] David. And her to Solomon. Bathsheba. I mean. Bathsheba was somebody's wife. Yeah. Read your Bible. He said. He who has been the wife. Of Uriah.
[17:01] Verse 6. Matthew chapter 1. Verse 6 and 7. He had Solomon. And. And Jesse begat David the king. David the king begat Solomon. By her. Who had been the wife of somebody.
[17:13] God. Why would you bring this in the history of Jesus? Don't. Even if he's there. Don't talk about it. If we were some religion. We won't talk about this. How do you have a child?
[17:24] David the king. Nobody but David. David the king. Had a child. With her. Who had been. The wife of Uriah. Who is Uriah? David.
[17:34] David. David is when David killed him. In the middle. Killed him because he liked the wife. And then. That woman. Who should he have featured.
[17:45] Rather became. The great grandmother of Jesus. The motherhood is not a problem. You hear that. As long as the fatherhood. Is from circumcised flesh.
[18:00] So. Who your father is. In the line of Christ. Matter. Who your father is. Who your father is. Who your father is. So the fathers.
[18:11] That's why they had to be circumcised. So God can afford. But there was no one gentle father in. But there were gentle mothers. Like a prostitute called Rahab.
[18:24] It's not a problem. It's not a threat. God can bring her in. And still. Cause the seed. To come from the man. And so long as you are going to be useful to God. Your father must be of that seed.
[18:35] Because the seed is from the man. The woman is of the incubator. That's why who your father really is. Or who really. Gave you. Produce you.
[18:46] Is not your mother. Is your father. That's how heaven sees it. So the seed. You came from your father. Entered your mother. And then you develop within your mother. And your mother presented you to the world.
[19:01] That's why Jesus said. My father. He kept talking about my father. He said. I came from my father. Not my mother. I came from my father. Where you came from. Is the source of the seed.
[19:14] That's why God preserved. Preserved the line of Abraham. The Moabites came. But they couldn't pollute it. Preserved the line of Abraham.
[19:27] Till Jesus came. That's the main reason for the preservation of the line. However. Because God had a natural covenant with Abraham. He hadn't forsaken them.
[19:37] So Paul says that God hasn't forsaken them. God will still go for them. At some point. But God chose us. As his special people.
[19:48] To spite them. That you were chosen first. Do you remember? That you first. You were chosen first. But just so you know. That God is not restricted by.
[19:59] Group of people. I want you to see. That. Me. I have more people. So God came. Outside of the fold. Of the Jews. Jesus said.
[20:10] I have other sheep. Who are outside of this fold. Them two. I must bring in. John chapter 10. Is that what I'm getting it?
[20:21] So now. So God hasn't forgotten about the Jews. But the point I'm making is that. The existence of the Jews. Is a statement of existence of God.
[20:31] Like to know God. How. When you look at the Jews. Especially. That's why. You can't separate Christianity. From the Jewish book. The Old Testament. Is called the Torah.
[20:43] Sometimes. Okay. It's called the Torah. It is the book of the. So the Old Testament. Is not Christians. Who have made it up. It's the same book. For the Jews. Did you understand that?
[20:55] It's the same book. Just that. Some of the. Chapters might be slightly different. But it's the same book. So when Peter. Paul. All the New Testament authorities.
[21:07] The apostles. Anytime they made reference. To us. It's said in scripture. They meant. What we call the Old Testament. Because that was the existing. That was the Bible.
[21:17] Jesus read. So when he went to the temple. He read from Isaiah. He read. Verse. The 17th. Of. Luke chapter 4. He was given to him.
[21:28] And he read from Isaiah. Found. I was a found in Isaiah. 17th. And he. And he had opened it. He found. In a place. In. In a place.
[21:40] Where it is written. The prophet Isaiah. He's there. So every time. Jesus was saying. So did the prophet say. About you. That it might be written. By the prophet. You can't trace. Which prophet said it.
[21:51] It's always there. Today's reading. He said. That it might be fulfilled. What's written. You check it. It's somewhere there. Peter said. This is that which was spoken. By the prophet. It is there. In Joel. So he was making reference.
[22:02] To the Old Testament. That was the scriptures. They had. At that time. That's why Paul. Told Timothy. That from childhood. They have known. The scriptures. Meanwhile. He was also writing.
[22:12] Scripture. Yeah. Wow. He was talking about Old Testament. Born. Daletians 4. 4. Under the law. He's talking about. The scriptures.
[22:23] Right. Is that what I'm getting it. So. He says. Romans chapter 3. Also. He says. To them were committed. The oracles. Of God. So.
[22:34] The. The manifestations of God. The speaking place of God. Was given to the Jews. You want to know. God reveals himself. Through the Jews. He reveals himself. Through nature.
[22:46] He reveals himself. Through nature. He reveals himself. Through the Jews. Reveals himself. Through history. Sometimes you look at history. And you look at the turn of events.
[22:57] You can see. That there's a mastermind behind it. God has revealed himself. Through history. He has revealed himself. Through prophecy. But all those revelations.
[23:10] Of God. Are not exhaustive. Exhaustive. You can know about the Jews. About God. Through the Jews. About God. Through.
[23:20] The books. The scriptures. I mean the holy scriptures. This is the only holy one. Through the scriptures. You can know about. God through nature.
[23:32] But all that knowledge of God. Through these means. Are not. Comprehensive. Enough. To be able to bring you salvation. Did you understand?
[23:43] So you can go and study history. Jewish history. You will still not be saved. You go to hell. It's not. So. I said it recently. That. Christ.
[23:55] That. The. He is not the only. The revelation of God. Is. Not.
[24:07] Comprehensive. In Christ alone. Okay. Or is not exhaustive in Christ. There are so many things. You can know about God. Through these things I've mentioned. But. Conclusive in Christ.
[24:18] Without Christ. Is like you have not sealed. What you know. So what you know. Is still out there. In there. It's like you spray. Perfume here. With time. It dissipates. Because you really don't know.
[24:30] You can't contain it. You only can contain. When you put. A seal on it. So the revelation of God. In Romans chapter 1. Verse 20. Since the creation of this world.
[24:41] The invisible attributes of God. Are clearly seen. Be honest. So from creation. You can know that's God. But that's revelation of God. It cannot save you. It is good enough. To condemn you.
[24:52] But it's not good enough. To save you. What do I mean? It's good enough. To condemn you. You know there is God. And you know. I need this God. Something's not right with me. By just looking at nature.
[25:03] You know there's something wrong with you. But when you look at Christ. That's when you know. Your way out. Thanks be to God. Oh wretched man that I am.
[25:13] Who will deliver me from. Thanks be to God. That's true Christ. So. You see. You need. Jesus. To know God.
[25:24] Truly. Without Jesus. You can't know God truly. You will know about God. True. This means I've mentioned.
[25:36] You can't end up knowing about God. Without Jesus. But without Jesus. There's no way you can know God. Savingly. He is the savior.
[25:48] Of the world. For there is no. Name given. Amongst men. By which.
[25:58] We must be saved. Acts chapter 4 verse 12. And it says that. There's no salvation. In any. But Jesus.
[26:10] So salvation. Is only. Only comes from Jesus. As I always tell you. Those who are saved in the Old Testament. Save that same way. Through salvation.
[26:22] Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. So. Coming back to. The point I'm making. To know God. You have to know him fully.
[26:33] Truly. It must be through Christ. Christ. Now when you know God. Through Christ. You begin to. Understand. A little bit more.
[26:44] About the workings of God. And. The purpose of God. So. When you begin to know God. You realize that. This God.
[26:54] You are knowing. Has a purpose. Has a plan. Has a program. Has. An intention. His. Eternal. Program.
[27:05] Program. We didn't just show up here. By accident. We were sent here. Because his. God is doing some. He has a program. And then. When you begin to.
[27:16] Explore. That's why you can't. Say. I read my Bible. And I understood everything. No. You need to be taught. Some of this. Because naturally. It's only your. Care to. Your background. That's why. Everyone. Watch this.
[27:26] Watch. This is very interesting. At the point in time. There's nobody. Who do you God. Nobody. From Genesis chapter 11. Nobody knew God.
[27:39] Everybody fell. And Noah was righteous. Before God. Genesis chapter 6. Bible said. Verse 8. But Noah found favor. Before God. And God told him. I will save you. And your house. I couldn't wait.
[27:51] I couldn't wait. To get to the house. And your house. Chapter 7. Verse 1. God told Noah. Your house. Hold. You and your.
[28:01] Anyway. So God told Noah. I will save you. And your house. And then. He wiped out. Everybody. You know. When you are trained. With Western thinking.
[28:13] If you are raised. With Western thinking. What comes to your mind. But that's not fair. But you have been. Eating fish. Is it fair? Is it not somebody's mother? Baby fish mother.
[28:25] You are eating. Yeah. Is it fair that you are eating. Like fish. Is it fair that you are. The way you like lamb.
[28:37] Some of you. Your week hasn't. Gone well. If you have not eaten chicken. That's. That's somebody's potential wife.
[28:49] Or mother or something. Or relative. That chick also has family. Chick family. So. Your life is not fair. This is not fair. Please. Sometimes depends on.
[29:01] Where you are coming from. There's a way life works. So God wiped. Everybody out. And there was nobody. But. Noah. And his. Family. Three sons.
[29:13] And their wives. And his wife. So there are eight of them. And God started. Genesis chapter nine. I will say. God blessed them. Nine verse one. And God blessed Noah.
[29:23] And his sons. And he said. Be fruitful and multiply. Look at verse two. He said. The fear of you. And the dread of you. Shall be on every beast of the earth. Every best of the air. And all that move on the earth.
[29:35] And all the fish of the air. They are given. To your hands. Verse three. Of. Every moving thing that lives. That bit was done in Genesis.
[29:51] But after the fall. Before the. Before the fall. God didn't say. They should eat. Animals. But after the fall.
[30:05] He told them. I have given the animals. Why? Because you need the blood. For atonement. But I told them. Don't eat the blood. Just eat the flesh. In Exodus chapter 12.
[30:16] He said. Kill it. Eat the flesh. But don't eat the blood. Because the blood. Is for atonement. Atonement. Atonement. Is for covering of the sins. All right. That's the only way you can have blood.
[30:28] Is by killing. Something. If you don't kill the thing. You can't have blood. And since they needed the bulls. And the rams. And the goats.
[30:38] They needed the blood. They needed to kill them. So they can have the blood. So what do you do. The animal is killed. You can eat it. All right. As someone gets it.
[30:49] So after the fall. They could eat the animal. That's why I said. It's okay to eat. Meats. Based on your health conditions. Now.
[31:00] God wiped. All humanity out. And then. After Noah. Man. Started going off again. So Noah finishes.
[31:11] In Genesis chapter 9. Genesis chapter 10. All kinds of things have come in. Genesis chapter 11. Pride has entered man. Man said. Let us build a tower. And make a name for ourselves. We are making it to heaven.
[31:22] We don't need any God. Making it to heaven. The sky will reach to heaven. At the top will reach to the heavens. And let. They said. Let's make. Let's make name for. Ourself. Wow.
[31:32] Other than that. We'll be scattered abroad. On the face of the. And my book said. God had it. God said. Let's go down. God is on us. God said. Let's go down. Confuse their language. And God scattered their language.
[31:43] And. That's why we have so many languages. That's the source of languages. And. No one was doing God. Then towards the end of Genesis 11. There was a gentleman called.
[31:55] Terah. And he had a son. Naho. And Abraham. And Naho had a son called Lot. Abram. Had a wife called. Sarah. But Sarah was barren. 27.
[32:06] Sarah. She was barren. They haven't met God yet. And all those people were idol worshipers. And where Abraham was living. Is modern day Iraq. That area. That's. What became.
[32:17] Babylon. That's where the Tower of Abel was. Babylon. Babylon. Babylon became. Modern day. Iran. Iraq. So. That's where Abraham originally came from. He came from. So.
[32:28] After the Tower of Abel. And God scattered him. God now appears to Abraham. And he said. Leave this territory. To where I will show you. And he crossed the river.
[32:39] That's what they say. From the river to the sea. Abraham crossed the river. Left that territory. And crossed the river. Mesopotamia. And came to.
[32:50] Stephen spoke about all this in Acts chapter 7. And came there. Now. Why am I saying this? That time God came to Abraham. There's no worshiper of God. They were idol worshippers.
[33:01] So Abraham himself was an idol worshipper. But. Bible said. The God of glory appeared to him. Wow. He was like. Oh. What is this?
[33:12] What he saw. Brought him to his knees. And he fell in love with this. When you see the glory of God. When the glory comes. There's no way to sing.
[33:23] So the glory of God. The God of glory appeared to him. Not the glory of God appeared. But the God himself of glory. Appeared to Abraham. And that's when Abraham. Put his faith in this God.
[33:35] Because God had an agenda for the church. So he appeared to Abraham. Who was not qualified to be. A God worshiper. God himself went and recruited him.
[33:47] And then move him from his land. And he didn't have a land. And he didn't have a child. So now. Without land. Without child. So that. Christ will become our land.
[33:59] And Christ will become a son. So he gave him. Without. Called him. And then he gave him a promise. You have a son. Who is Isaac. And he said.
[34:10] I through Isaac. The families of. Or. I will bless. The families of the world. That will be your next. Of kings. Carry the seed. So then God later on. Tells him. Give me Isaac.
[34:21] After waiting for so long. To have Isaac. God comes to Abraham. Give me Isaac. But God. You promise that. It's true. It didn't say through a son. It said through Isaac.
[34:32] Okay. Hebrews chapter 11. Verse 17. By faith. Abraham. By faith. Abraham. When he was tested. Offered up Isaac. And he who had received the promise. Offered up his only begotten son.
[34:44] Watch. Go to the next verse. Of whom it was said. In Isaac. Your seed shall be called. Now. If he has not said in Isaac. Then other sons might come. But I said in Isaac.
[34:55] Then this same God. Who said in Isaac. Your seed shall be called. He said. Kill him for me. But Abraham. Was so naive. That he believed.
[35:07] That God. Anyway. If he said. It's in Isaac. Then even when I kill him. God can bring him back to life. And so. In his. Watch this.
[35:18] In Abraham's mind. He was walking in the resurrection. By faith. It's in your Bible. It's in your Bible. Hebrews chapter 11. Verse 19.
[35:30] Concluding that God was able to raise him up. Even from the dead. From which he also received him figuratively. In a figurative sense. So as he was going to kill Isaac.
[35:40] He has already received him back from the dead. In a figurative sense. So he was walking in the resurrection. Whilst he was going to. Before the cross.
[35:51] Abraham walked in the resurrection. Before the cross. He walked in the resurrection. It's there. By faith. That's what made him unique.
[36:02] So God. Attached. He. God is a very interesting God. He calls himself the God of Abraham. Abraham went to lie. That my wife is not my wife.
[36:13] God still says he's the God of. He attaches his name. To a human being with faults. You keep attacking men of God. God said.
[36:23] I am the God of Abraham. The God of Isaac. And the God of Jacob. Jacob. He should have said.
[36:35] The God of Israel. But no. Jacob's name was changed. From Jacob to Israel. And yet. God said. I am the God of Jacob.
[36:49] He's not ashamed. To attach himself. To human beings. Even to now. Jesus said. You don't know.
[36:59] That he called. Jesus quoted it. In Matthew chapter 22. Verse 32. When they came and asked him. That there was. Somebody married. Married. With the resurrection. Would they be married?
[37:11] From verse 30. Jesus said. You see. Verse 29. Jesus said. You do it. Because you don't know the power of God. Or the scriptures. They said. In the resurrection. They will neither be married. We shall be like the angels.
[37:22] The resurrection. Said. For in the resurrection. They neither marry. Don't argue into marriage. But the angels. The angels don't marry. Why? Because they don't have gender.
[37:34] Okay. So why do we need gender? For marriage. That's the purpose of gender. It's not important. It's not to show. Men are better than women. Women are better than men.
[37:45] No. It's for marriage. It's for marriage. Because one cannot represent God. God is a corporate God. So it takes two to tango.
[37:57] Yeah. So. Look at the next verse. But as touching the resurrection of the dead. Have you not read.
[38:08] Which was spoken unto you by God. Saying. Then he quotes from the. They always quote you from Old Testament. Amen. Mmm. I am. The God of Abraham. The God of Isaac.
[38:19] And the God of Jacob. He's not a God of. That means they are not there though. Mmm. He's not a God of. But he's the God of the living. I'm the God of Abraham. I'm the God of Isaac. I'm the God of Jacob.
[38:30] God still calls himself the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I don't know why somebody hasn't shouted hallelujah. Hallelujah.
[38:42] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So. God calls himself the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Because. That's what he chose to do.
[38:53] But why didn't he continue? No. He needed Abraham, Isaac, Jacob. In Abraham we see God as the God, the father. In Isaac we see God as the God, the son. In Jacob we see God as the God, the spirit.
[39:06] Yes. Hold on. Then he. So he's the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That's why he called Abraham. And Abraham's faith was before.
[39:18] Watch this. His faith. Level of faith. When God called him, he believed God. He saw him. And. Faith comes. How does faith come? From the earth.
[39:29] Faith. So. Faith. God is responsible for faith. In man. Because. So when the God of glory appeared to Abraham and he spoke to him. That's where the source of the faith came.
[39:40] Faith is more a reaction. Do you understand that? It's too. It's too complex. Yeah. Faith. Faith. Faith. It's a reaction. Than a decision.
[39:54] I don't decide. I want to have faith. I don't. No, no. He said. Is there something called the hearing of faith? You heard it and faith came. Faith. Faith comes by hearing. Galatians chapter 5.
[40:05] Said. You receive the spirit by the hearing of faith. Or the works of the law. Verse 3. Chapter 2 rather. Sorry. Learn this. Did you receive the spirit by the works of the law? Or by. There's something called. Somebody say.
[40:15] Say hearing of faith. Hearing of faith. Say it again. Say hearing of faith. Hearing of faith. What does that mean? You were hearing and something came. That's why it's good to come to church. And for that matter. It's good to come to where the word of God is actually taught.
[40:27] Yes. Yes. Because the word of God is not taught. You can't have faith in God. Uh-huh. Because. Why? Faith is a. Reaction. Oh, I can't hear you. Faith is a. Reaction.
[40:38] Faith is a. Reaction. Not a. Decision. Faith is a. You want to have faith. Don't say. Okay. Okay. I'm going to have faith. No, no. Get word to come in. Get word to come in.
[40:49] As the word hits your system. Faith. So when God spoke to Abraham. It produced faith. Uh. So that you can't even take the glory. So Abraham had faith in God.
[41:01] When he was called. Then. God later on comes to him. And he said. I'm going to give you a son. And Abraham believed. Now. Abraham in Genesis chapter 15.
[41:13] He was not yet 70. He was 69. In Genesis chapter 15. Early past. He was just around. He was under 70.
[41:25] When. God came to Abraham. He says that. I'm your seeding great reward. And Abraham said. But see that you have blessed me. I don't have a chance. A foreigner will inherit. God said.
[41:35] Who told you a foreigner will inherit. Will be your heir. He said. One from your own body. Hey. He said. One from your own. He said. Abraham says. See I go childless. And.
[41:45] And a foreigner will be my heir. And then the Lord said. The word of the Lord came to you. And saying that. This one. Shall not be. The one you are referring to. Eliezer of Damascus. He says.
[41:56] A foreigner living in your house. It's not going to be your heir. But one from your own body. Shall be your heir. Abraham said. How can I be. And guess what. Look at the next verse. And Abraham believed it.
[42:07] Then. Then he brought him out. And said. Look at the stars. Can you count them? He said. No. He said. That's how your. Soul shall die. Watch this.
[42:19] The childless man. God brings him out. Count the stars. And he said. This is not a foreigner. Your seed. This is how they shall be. Wow. Wow. What does the next verse say?
[42:31] The next verse six. Let's read it. And he believed in the Lord. He believed in the Lord.
[42:44] And he said. That's righteous. So that is. This. This scripture. Seem to appear again. In Romans chapter four. Verse 17 and 18.
[42:56] Particularly 18. But 17 says that. In whom he believed. God. In whom he believed. Who gives life to the dead. And collects. Abraham against hope. Believing hope.
[43:07] In the presence of him. Who he believed. God. Who gives life to the dead. And who collects those things. Which be not as though they were. Now look at the verse 18.
[43:17] That's where Genesis 15 is. It says that. Who against hope believe. That he might become the father of many nations. According to that which was spoken. What was it? So shall thy seed be.
[43:30] So when God called him to live. He believed. Then God came to him about childhood. That you are going to have children. That one he believed as well. And it was counted.
[43:41] Do you know how old he was? Remember. Look at Genesis chapter 15. In Genesis chapter 15. Bible says that God told Abraham. This is how your seed will be. And then. So chapter 16.
[43:53] Abraham thought the thing was delayed. So Sarah said. You know what? Let's help God. I have a girl in my house. She's my girl. And those days. The tradition is. If you have a servant.
[44:04] It's yours. It's like. They call them slaves. So it's. It's. It was like. Personal possession. And that human best. So. If they give birth. Their children are all your children.
[44:15] So that's what happened to Jacob. Jacob. Leah. And Rachel. There was a time. Rachel was not having children. And he gave. Her maid. To Jacob. And Jacob went into her.
[44:26] That's what the Bible says. And she produced. So. Now watch this. So. Sarah said. You know what? Let's just. Abraham. I'm getting old. It's not working.
[44:37] Before your body dies. Before your body. This was before Ishmael. Because Ishmael. Fifteen. He believed God. And it was accounted to him for righteousness.
[44:49] And then sixteen. Ishmael came in. Through Sarah's. Advice. Abraham said. I think it's a good idea. Sarah told Abraham. Enter into my maid.
[45:02] And then she will produce. So we can have children by her. And Abraham heeded the voice of Sarai. Verse three. Verse three. Verse three says that.
[45:13] Then Sarai. Abraham's wife. Took Hagar her maid. The Egyptian. And gave her. To her husband. Abraham. To be his wife. After Abraham.
[45:23] Had. Dwelt. Ten years. In the land of Canaan. No child. So he said. Let's do something. And what happened? As soon as. And. And he went into Hagar.
[45:35] And she conceived. So Abraham. Was okay. The problem of Sarah. Abraham was okay. Because. He went into her. He could go there.
[45:50] Was his body dead? No. So when God told him. So shall I see be. The body was not dead. That's why he tested it on her guy.
[46:01] And it worked. What's the end. The last verse. In chapter 16. How old was he?
[46:14] When. From that time. God withdrew from Abraham. For 13 years. Look at the next verse.
[46:25] The next verse. Let's go. Did you see that? You see. So only one verse difference. By 30 years. Because of the direction.
[46:36] Abraham went. God withdrew. How old was Abraham? Like tonight. He said. He believed God. Who gives life to the dead.
[46:49] Who collect the things that be done. Give life. And collect the things that be done. And he says that. Verse 18 says that. Against whom he believed him. That he might be the father of many nations. As he was. So sad I see.
[46:59] Now look at verse 19. And being not weak in faith. He called Jesus his own body. That was now dead. Watch this. No. The deadness of Sarah's womb. But was strong in faith.
[47:11] He started not at the promise of God. Through unbelief. But was strong in faith. Giving glory to God. Watch. So you see. At the age of 99. He was dead. But it seems like God spoke to him again. Look at the next verse.
[47:25] And being fully persuaded. That he who had promised. He was also able to perform. The next verse. And therefore it was. Accounted. Imputed to him.
[47:36] For righteousness. Just like the 15. So before Ishmael. He believed God. But somewhere along the line. He fell off. And then after Ishmael was born.
[47:47] God comes back to him. When he was 99. Genesis chapter 17. When he was 99 years old. 19 years old. God said. Hey. Abraham you. I'm almighty God. Work before me. I'll be perfect. Stop those dodgy lifestyles.
[47:59] I don't know who I'm talking to. You want God to bless you. But not on your terms. So God comes to Abraham again. And tells him that.
[48:10] Work before me. I'll be perfect. Verse 2. And I'll make my covenant between. Me and thee. And I'll multiply that. And Abraham fell on his face. And God talked with him.
[48:21] Saying. As for me. Behold my covenant with thee. And thou shalt be father of many nations. Start talking about that thing again. Did you see that? Go on. Now that shall thy name be called.
[48:33] Abraham. But now Abraham. And for you shall be a father of many nations. Let's go on. And I'll make thee exceedingly fruitful. And I'll make nations of thee.
[48:43] And kings. And kings shall come out of thee. Wow. From you. Abraham inside you. Huh. Huh. And I establish my covenant between me and thee. And I see it after thee.
[48:54] In their generations for an everlasting covenant. That's why God has not left the Jews. Amen. Everlasting covenant. Everlasting. To be a God unto thee. And thy seed after thee.
[49:07] And I'll give unto thee. And to thy seed after thee. The land. Say land. Land. I see child and land. No wonder from times of antiquity.
[49:18] There's always been fight on that same land. That is the very small piece of land. But it's controlling global affairs. And it didn't start yesterday. It didn't start now.
[49:29] It started from Nebuchadnezzar. All of them. Their eye was there. Alexander the Great. The Roman Empire. Every eye was there. That land. That land.
[49:40] When you watch history. It tells you that God exists. It says that. And the land wherein thou art a stranger. All the land of Canaan. For an everlasting possession.
[49:53] And I will be their God. So after they were displaced for many years. In 1947. The law was passed. Then they found out. Actually the land belongs to the Jews. And they were giving back.
[50:03] When they went back. There are some inhabitants. Some people who live in some part. They call Palestinians. But that was their land. Their document shows. Ancient documents. It's everywhere.
[50:14] It shows that's their land. What even broke the back of the camel is. United Nations. 1947. The last piece of document. There was a shepherd.
[50:27] He was taking his sheep to Greece. I think around the desert or something. A Qumran. And then he went into a cave. And then he saw this large cross. Meanwhile in Jeremiah.
[50:39] God told Jeremiah. Hide this thing. The title did. Put it in the bottle. And hide it somewhere. The man stumbled across. That title did. Jeremiah hid it.
[50:51] In the bottle. Of somebody found it. 2000 years later. More than 2000 years later. When the land was in dispute. And so. United Nations.
[51:02] They didn't have a choice. But everything shows that. Their land belongs to the Jews. When you read the Bible. You can see Jerusalem. So. That's how they went back. Into their land. God said. I'll give it to their land. Forever.
[51:14] You can't displace them. The whole world can turn against them. But the word of God. Is on their side. Isn't that interesting?
[51:24] So. You go back to Abraham. I'll give it after. Let's go to the next verse. And I'll give unto thee. And to thy seed. Can you imagine.
[51:35] God was just addressing him. Concerning seed and land. Seed and land. Seed and land. And everlasting future. Seed and land. Seed and land.
[51:46] That's why God called Abraham. That's why he has to. First of all. Dislodge him from his land. And he went to call someone. Who never had child. God. So when Abraham.
[51:59] He didn't betray Sarah. Because those days. It was traditionally acceptable. When they went to Egypt. And Abimelech. He saw that. He was afraid for his wife. Because his wife was too pretty.
[52:11] He said. When they see you. They will kill me. And the king will have you. So when we go. Just say. You are my sister. And when they went. She also said it. And the king gave Abraham. Cattle prosperity.
[52:22] Can you give me your sister? This girl. And. Genesis chapter 21. And. He took her. But from that time.
[52:33] Everything went. Tepsy-tepsy. Everything started going. Bible says. God shut the womb. Of all the women. They couldn't give birth. They couldn't conceive.
[52:44] Hey. So that tells you. It's not just a year. He had Sarah. For quite a while. Because people were not conceiving. After that. But the good thing is.
[52:55] He never slept with Sarah. Because God blocked him. Ah. Why did God block him? Because. If he had entered into Sarah.
[53:06] He would have been a dead man. Why? Because that's a prophet's wife. Hey. Hey. But the prophet lied to me. Stay out of it. Stay out of it. Hey. It doesn't.
[53:16] It doesn't make you innocent. He's still a prophet. Prophet is not about who he is. It's about something he carries. I can't see it. I like this.
[53:27] This is your Bible. Okay. Let's start from this one. And Abraham journeyed from Benz. Towards the south country. And dwelt between Kaddish and Sher. And journeyed in Gerah.
[53:39] And Abraham said of Sarah. His wife. She's my sister. And Abimelech king of Gerah sent and took Sarah. But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night and said.
[53:54] Behold thou art but a dead man. For the woman which thou hast taken for the one. For she is a man's wife. Jesus. But Abimelech had not come near her.
[54:07] Do you know what that means? Yeah. And he said. Lord. Would thou slay also a righteous nation? Would it destroy us? Said he not unto me. She's my sister.
[54:18] And she. Even she herself. He's my brother. Watch this.
[54:29] Abimelech said. In the integrity of my heart. And the innocence of my hands. Have I done this? I was not a bad man. I'm righteous. Yes. Yes.
[54:39] And God said unto him in a dream. Yes. I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also will tell thee from sinning against me. Therefore. Suffered I not you to touch her.
[54:52] He didn't know why he never had appetite. Didn't God do that to the lions in Daniel's death? Daniel arrived.
[55:03] Lions like meat. They arrived. They lost appetite. They removed Daniel's brother. Oh, shit. So Abimelech was conquering. This one come.
[55:14] Fire. This one come. Fire. Sarah comes. I don't know why. Not for one week. Meanwhile, she was pretty.
[55:28] Prettiness is different type of things. But Abraham. Bible says God stopped him from touching her. He didn't know that it was God.
[55:40] But God said, that's why I did it. Because you are genuine man. You are genuine man. Even though I'm punishing you. He said the punishment would have been severe. If you had touched her.
[55:52] But I stopped you from touching her. Because you are innocent. Who told you God is not in control? So he says, I got said unto him in a dream. Yeah, I did not allow you to touch her.
[56:03] Then next is verse 7. Look at it. He said, not therefore restore the man his wife. For he's a prophet. And he, the one who lied to you, will pray for you. He said, he will pray for you.
[56:17] Because Abit Malik, I think he started falling sick. He was not well. He said, and you will leave. And if thou restore her not, thou, know that thou shall surely die.
[56:30] Thou and all that are dying. Judgment is coming. Look at that verse. Therefore Abit Malik rose early in the morning and called his servants and told all of, told all these things in their ears.
[56:44] And the men were, hey, hey, this man. And guess what? Then Abit Malik called Abraham and said unto him, what has thou done unto us?
[56:56] And what have I offended thee? What have I offended that thou should have brought on me and my kingdom a great sin? Thou has done this not, that deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
[57:14] He was afraid for his life. So he had to lie for his immigration. Go for it and go to them. And Abit Malik. And Abit Malik said unto Abraham, what so has thou?
[57:24] What do you see? Thou has done this thing. And Abraham said, because I thought surely, I thought surely the fear of God is not in this place.
[57:37] And they will slay me for my wife's sake. So he wasn't a bad man. But it was just, you know, immigration convenience. Yes. Let's go to the next verse.
[57:51] And yet, indeed, she is my sister. She is the daughter of my. You know, there's some relationship there. The next verse. I want to show you something. And it came to pass. When God caused me to wander from my father's house, in fact, so God told him, pray for him.
[58:08] And Abraham prayed for Abit Malik. And God restored. That's what I want you to see. God restored the people. Because Abraham prayed, verse 70, Abraham prayed unto God.
[58:20] And God healed Abit Malik and his wife and his maize servant. And they both children. Because God has shut their womb. Do you know what is ironic here?
[58:31] Meanwhile, Abraham's wife can't have child. God taught Abraham a lesson. Until you know how to treat your wife, the miracle is not coming. Until you know how to pray for others, your prayer won't be answered.
[58:47] And Isaac came after this. After Abraham restored his wife and realized, I do not have to betray my wife.
[58:59] I don't have to change their conditions. And he prayed for some people's homes. And they started having children. That is when, after that, Sarah had a child. Very interesting.
[59:11] It was after the Abit Malik episode. When he prayed for them to have children. That God remembered. But I'm saying all these things to let you know. That God is a God of program.
[59:23] He planned it. Abraham, he identified himself with Abraham. Isaac. Jacob. He formed the people. He formed the people. Because he himself was going to become one of those people.
[59:38] That's why he maintained them over the years. Because he himself was coming. And then when he came, the exhaustive understanding and revelation of God. He was the only one who could have.
[59:49] He said, no one has seen the Father at any time. John chapter 1 verse 18. No one has seen God at any time. Except the Son. Who comes. The only begotten. Sorry. The only begotten. Who is from the bosom of the Father.
[60:01] He's like so much part of God. He pulled God and brought him. That's the only way you can have the clearest, proper depiction of God. He said, if you have seen me, you have seen my Father at any time.
[60:12] And my Father at one. So, Jesus Christ is the exact. Bible says the express image. Colossians 1 verse 15.
[60:25] The image of the invisible God. He is the image of the God that cannot be seen. That's why I say, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father.
[60:40] That's the Christian gospel. Jesus is the image of God. But the deep truth is, we are the body of Jesus. When you come into the church, you will know the plan of God, the program of God.
[60:55] Until you step into church. And when you begin to know God, you get to know his plan. Because he doesn't know him. It's a picture. God is not some static object somewhere.
[61:07] So, seeing picture. No. When you know God, you begin to realize that he's a God with intelligence. He's a God with plan. So, you begin to ask, what is your plan? What is God doing? And it behooves every believer to begin to find out what God is doing and align yourself with it.
[61:24] Whether it favors your philosophy, natural philosophy, background, convenience or not. You find out what God is doing. And what God is doing, the more you are a Christian in church, you are supposed to begin to come to terms with God's global agenda.
[61:42] Subspecies, high tenetitis. Look at it from a bigger picture. Because you are going to die one day. And when you get before God, he will ask you, what role did you play in the bigger picture?
[61:53] Consciously. Consciously. Intentionally. I'm not talking about sin of omission. Sin of commission. What you know you should have done and you didn't do.
[62:06] And the omission to is there. What you didn't know you should have done and you didn't do. So, when you appear before God, that's what you are going to answer to. So, when you become born again, the rest of your Christian life is spent discovering the mystery.
[62:25] The unfolding of God's bigger agenda and how you are part of it. Yes. How would you know this outside of Christ? In the first place, you can just know about God.
[62:39] But you can't know God truly outside of Christ. And then when you begin to know God truly, you begin to discover that he's a God of intelligence. He has a purpose. He has a plan. He has a program. And you begin to discover it.
[62:51] It's called the mystery. So, that's why Christ came on earth. Husbands. Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for him to present.
[63:09] Verse 26. Husbands, give himself for him that he might sanctify. Listen. Listen. Christ is the only one who can sanctify. I want to talk to you about Christ.
[63:22] Christ is the only one. So, what is the job of Christ? When he came on earth, he came to come and die. And why did he have to die? He died so he can sanctify us, cleanse us, the church, with the washing of water by the word.
[63:39] Okay. Why? So that he can present us. No one can present you to. He is the only one who can present you to himself. He can present the church to himself.
[63:52] Christ's agenda is to present the church to himself. In what state? Present the church to himself. Glorious church. He wants a glorious church. He wants not a faulty church.
[64:05] Glorious church. Present the church to himself. Glorious church. not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
[64:16] That's why he sanctifies the church. So that I can be presented holy without blemish, not having any spot. That's why he sanctifies the church. So some preachings will sanctify you.
[64:28] It's washing your brains. It's washing your feelings. It's washing your decisions. It's saving your soul. God is working on you, not for the pastor. Go on to fornicate.
[64:40] It doesn't affect the pastor. It affects your relevance in God. It affects what God can do with your life. God is raising you.
[64:51] Don't drown yourself. Don't drown yourself. He's raising you. So his purpose is to sanctify you, that he will cleanse you by the washing of water with the sole reason to present.
[65:10] He doesn't care who doesn't like you or who likes you. He says, I like you. I'm so happy with you. He wants to present you to himself for his pleasure. Not to the pastor.
[65:22] Not to your mother. Not to your father. Not to your community or society. Not to yourself. He doesn't save you. He didn't save you just for yourself. Will you get over yourself, please?
[65:34] He saved you for himself to present you to himself. But he didn't save you alone. He doesn't want a you. He wants an us. To present us to himself.
[65:47] Verse 27. Not having sport or rinko or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. Then he goes back to husband. So you see, husband says, this is the way Christ did it.
[65:59] This is the way Christ did it. So I just, I'll use Christ to just give the husband a rough picture. A picture of what the husband is supposed to be doing. Doesn't mean a husband can do it 100%.
[66:11] But if you are 20, move up to 30. Move up to 40. Move up to 80. Move up to 90. Move up to 99. Keep moving up till you die.
[66:24] Keep, the standard has been set already. Keep moving up. When you are playing, those of you who play football or who know about football, when you have the ball, what do you do with the ball? Do you just stand there and then, no.
[66:36] What do you do? You dribble. Dribble and what do you do? Why do you dribble? Just get closer to the ball. Where do you want to get the ball to? To the goal. So sometimes, when you are very far from the post, your chances are that you won't get it there.
[66:50] So that's why you have to dribble and get closer. You're trying to get closer and when you realize you are close enough with that restriction, then you shoot. Yes, you shoot.
[67:02] Oh, it's so nice when you manage to dribble the goalkeeper. And now you are behind the goalkeeper. Ah, it's so nice. That's what I like about football.
[67:13] If you can go behind the goalkeeper and now you don't have to kick the ball, you just have to. The objective is to get you somewhere.
[67:26] So as a husband, the objective is Christ. The closer you are towards the goalpost, the better. The better. So, this thing is not about just husbands.
[67:38] Because no human being can be accurate measure for another human being. No human being, no earthly system can be accurate measure for something God did to represent himself.
[67:52] So the only thing God can use to be an accurate measure is himself and the church. So let me tell you what I do for the church. So this whole thing is about Christ. Now, look at the name.
[68:03] So husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. God Christ loves his wife, his bride, as his own body. He who loves his wife loves himself.
[68:16] The next verse. For no one ever hates his own flesh. Have you ever seen somebody that said, I just hate my body? The Bible said no one hates himself.
[68:29] That's why the greatest standard or depiction of when Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself because you can't go beyond yourself. Naturally, everybody loves himself.
[68:41] When you see his name, ahhh! When you hear something fire, you run! You love yourself now! I get you what I'm saying.
[68:53] So he said no one hates himself but you love yourself and nourishes it just as ahhh! This is an interesting revelation that Christ loves the church and he didn't just save the church but nourishes the church.
[69:09] Those who like attacking church, you have to be careful. Nourishing church. How many of you have ever come to church and you feel, I feel relieved. challenges. Because it's not the preaching of the pastor, it's the nourishment of Christ.
[69:25] If you have ever backslided, you realize that you've lost something. Life is not the same. Something is... Because you have moved yourself away from the lost nourishment. The lost nourishment.
[69:36] He has this nice body oil and he's massaging you and nourishes you. He nourishes you. Christ himself and he's making his filly with milk and honey.
[69:48] He nourishes you. That's what Christ is doing. What does Christ do? Nourishing the church. Nourishing the church. Whilst he's sanctifying us, he's busily nourishing us.
[70:00] As the Lord nourishes the church. The next verse. We are members of his body and his flesh and his bone. We. Romans chapter 12 verse 4 and 5.
[70:14] We are members. Guys, we are members. Guys, guys, wait, wait, wait, wait. Think about it too. That we are members of Christ's body. You. Maybe some of you are not thinking far.
[70:26] What does that mean? That we are members of his body. If somebody hits you, he has hits his body. Yeah. You know sometimes you watch a movie and somebody wants to punish some villain, wants to punish one of these mafia bosses.
[70:43] Come here. Come here. Give me your finger. Then start breaking your finger. Oh, it's just the finger. Huh? If you touch it, you have touched me.
[70:58] And he said, we are members of his body. Romans chapter 12 verse 4 verse 5. For us, we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function.
[71:13] Even so, so we, be many, are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. I am a member of you. If you are born again, I am a member of you.
[71:24] You are a member of me. We are members of each other. That's why it's strange to see Christians sadly with unbelievers attack other Christians. if you attack one Christian, you have attacked me.
[71:40] Members of one another. We are members. First Corinthians chapter 12 verse 12. Members. For us, the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body be many are one body.
[72:00] Let's read the last four words. Let's go. One more time. Louder. Louder.
[72:15] So also. So when you look at a body, a body is made up of a lot of members. Different members. And you know different doctors specialize in different parts of the body.
[72:26] Some specialize nose, throat, and ear, or whatever. Yeah. Others specialize the eye. Others specialize the skin. Others even the hair.
[72:38] Others specialize different things. Blood, bones, marrow, kidneys, yes, livers. Different things.
[72:50] Because even one member is very complicated. And it says that as the body has many members, but one body, so is Christ. Christ. So is Christ.
[73:02] You say, where is Christ? Well, Christ is the body. Christ is the church. He said, we the church are his body. So you see, when he called Abraham, he was thinking about us. Now you see where the whole thing is going.
[73:15] He called Abraham so he can have a physical body on earth. And when his physical body on earth finished paying for sins, he went and he became 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 45.
[73:30] He became a life-giving spirit. Shut up. Shut up. Jesus, the last Adam, became a life-giving spirit. And in 2 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 17, he said, the Lord is the spirit.
[73:45] Ah! So now, that's why when he resurrected from the dead, he came and met John chapter 20 and he preached it to them, receive the spirit. And they received him in.
[73:59] So he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. We are one with him. 1 Corinthians chapter 6 verse 17. We are one with him. So we are his body, actual body on the earth.
[74:14] But this is not, his physical, his natural body. But we are his physical representation. This is what he means. As Christ was the physical representation of God on earth.
[74:28] So, not me alone. Not you alone. Because one person cannot comprehensively represent Christ. All of us believers together.
[74:41] If you are in Christ, you are an aspect of his body. we are all corporately one body. Not, we are not an assembling of body parts.
[74:53] Different, different, different parts. There's a difference between organization and... Organism. the multiplication of a cell. So it's the same cell, DNA, it's multiplied.
[75:07] Whilst organization is the amalgamation, bringing different parts together to get one. No, we are not an organization. We are an organism. It's the same cell of Christ that is multiplying.
[75:20] But when you preach to somebody, you also become born again. The church is growing, the church is growing. It's the cell. And so the same life of Christ that is in me is that same life that is in you.
[75:31] There is a power source here, which is powering this, powering this, powering this, powering this. when you switch off the power here, it doesn't affect this because that's the power.
[75:42] But you switch on the power here, it's the same electric power that is going through. The power that comes into this building from the source, if it's cut off every part of this building, in the same way, the same life that is flowing from Christ into me, it's the same thing in you, the same thing, there's no difference.
[75:59] The same life, it doesn't matter how long you have been born again, it's the same life of Christ and that is what makes us one body. Don't you shout your loudness, hallelujah.
[76:17] One body. I just wanted to finish this thing quickly. Ephesians, are you learning something at all? Somebody made a statement, he says that, I was having a conversation with somebody, he says that sometimes pastors, they have something to say, then they look for a scripture to back it.
[76:40] So sometimes people, interpretation is variant. But I was listening to him, he said that's interesting. But when you know the Bible for yourself, it will be difficult for a pastor to use it to try.
[76:53] That's why I felt, thank God, I focus on teaching people theology to actually understand this thing. So it's not just interpretation, I'm explaining the text, I'm not just interpreting, I'm explaining the text, I'm explaining what does it mean for us to be the body of Christ.
[77:10] Next time when you see the body of Christ, you understand what it actually means. Not like a body of doctors or a body of lawyers, that's different. There are separate entities that come together, that make a body of lawyers, a body of taxi drivers, it's different.
[77:24] When we are a body of Christ, no, it's no separate entities, it's one shared life. One shared life. And thank God, I'm taking my time to break, I've said so much in a short time.
[77:42] Let's finish a fish, is that okay? I finish it. Ephesians chapter five, it says that for this course, oh, another one is coming. For this course, a man shall leave his father and mother. That's Matthew chapter 19 verse 5 and Genesis chapter 2 verse 24.
[77:57] For this course, a man shall leave his father and mother. and shall be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh. What's that? He said, wait, wait, wait, hold on, hold on. This is a great mystery.
[78:08] Uh-huh, yeah, that's, he said, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. It's not, it's not really you. It's a Christ and the church. Why? He will join to the Lord. It's one spirit.
[78:20] We are one. Christ. That's the mystic, it's called the mystical! He constantly Christ and the church.
[78:30] Nevertheless, oh, they went back to marriage. Let every one of you particularly love his own wife. Then he goes back to Christ. He said, even ask himself, okay, even ask himself.
[78:41] Then he says that, let me end with the wife. It started with the wife. Let me end with the wife. And the wife see to it that she reverence her husband.
[78:53] Not much. He didn't say you should dress. therefore, he didn't say her wife should cook. It's not in the Bible that her wife should cook.
[79:04] Her wife should dress. No. He said her wife should look romantic. Even this text does not mean your father.
[79:17] See to it's all now. The responsibility of a wise Christian girl is to explore the meaning of reverence a husband.
[79:29] What does scripture really mean? When it came to love your wife, he gave us what it actually is. Reverence your husband.
[79:41] To some people, reverencing is defined slightly differently. The person must feel, I have a woman in my life who doesn't make me feel like rubbish.
[79:58] Always looking at my phone and you're comparing a man you are married to another woman's husband. That is no reverence.
[80:12] So he said let the wife see to it. It's very interesting. Let the wife see that. It's your responsibility. you have to see that your reverence you're not men, not men, not your father, not your pastor.
[80:30] That kind of reverence, there's a certain reverence that is dedicated only to a husband. Only one person. Only one person. That reverence.
[80:43] He said make sure it goes to, because I have a pastor, sometimes women can give some reverence to some men in church, and celebrity speakers and things like them, pastors, even more than their own husbands.
[81:00] Now that reverence there doesn't mean your husband is fully responsible, like he has become a great person. He might not match anywhere, but there's a certain reverence a wife must offer biblical necessity render to the husband.
[81:14] Reverence. where the man, a reverence has a lot to do with the way you make him feel in your company. The way you demonstrate to him, for him to feel that you actually respect him, even though he's a fool.
[81:33] Yeah. You have to be wise enough to be able to show a fool enough respect that he begins to become wise. You are not respecting foolishness, but you are respecting a person you are submitted to.
