We are in a moment of rapid transition. Drawing from the book of Exodus, Pastor David Antwi explains why readiness is essential when God begins to move. Discover how to disconnect from the weights of your past and prepare for the 'Great Exodus' into your next season of victory.
[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry. Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's word.! May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you.
[0:13] We are in a transition moment. It's a time of transition. Two weeks ago I spoke about when you fast, ask God to speak to you.
[0:26] There are instructions you give you because that's what happens in times of transition. You don't have time to wait. Do you know why? Because God is about to move fast.
[0:42] God, oh I know it, I hear it, I hear it. I can hear movement, movement, movement. You don't have to wait.
[0:53] Just put on your shoes, am I ready? You must be in the state of readiness. Exodus chapter 12 verse 11.
[1:04] It says that this is how you should be eating the food. You are eating all. But it says that, and thus shall ye eat it. With your loins get it.
[1:15] You know, those days, they wear these long things that they are. It's like a robe. The Middle Eastern people, even some of those who are here, they wear it.
[1:27] So when you are about to run, you have to collect it. You understand? You have to gather it and tie it.
[1:38] So at least it's above your knees. For ease of movement. I just feel like preaching, you know. For ease of movement.
[1:49] Anything that is tying you to your past. God is every now and then impeding your movement. How come you've been able to come for prayer and fasting and some of us have fasted.
[2:05] And then your garment is now going to tie you back again. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm done with this place. I'm done with this place.
[2:17] And the movement is going to be fast. So you don't need anything that will interfere with your smooth movement.
[2:28] Some associations, some ties must be disconnected from you so that you can have ease of movement. Because it's a new season.
[2:45] It's a new era. We're actually in a season of transition. And this kind of transition needs preparation.
[2:58] You don't have time to waste. So start getting yourself ready. Now, I want to just draw your attention a little bit before we pray to getting your loins.
[3:10] It's garments. Garments signify your works. Garments is your works. The things you do. And some of us, some of the things we are connected to and the things we do, it's your biggest weight slowing you down.
[3:26] It's restricting. That's why yesterday I said, you can't go to the next level if you don't just get rid of your ex. Get rid of your ex. Because you have not let her go.
[3:38] Let him go. It's still in your heart. You're still crying over what happened. Forget about your ex. Get to the next level. God is preparing many people here for a surprise blessing.
[3:56] The valley life is coming to an end. That valley of sickness. That valley of joblessness. That valley of lack and poverty.
[4:09] That valley of confusion. That valley life is coming to an end. And there's victory in the future.
[4:21] And God is taking you there. And so you have to put on your shoes. Get your loins. Your garments. Today's reading is a very powerful reading.
[4:33] Everyone who is a good Christian will identify with it. The first one alone, he said, have mercy upon me. Oh God. Alright. I think some of you don't know the story behind this scripture.
[4:44] Let me just digress to tell you a little bit. The story behind this scripture is a gentleman called David. Whom God anointed.
[4:56] Because he was a man after God's heart. And in the book of Samuel, there was time for war. And he didn't go for war. Because he was a king. And others.
[5:08] So yeah. Like a prayer meeting. And he stayed at home. He didn't go for war. And he was walking off. Those Middle Eastern houses. Those that they have rooftop.
[5:18] That's why sometimes they go and sleep there. Because when it's hot. And stuff like that. So he was walking on his terrace and the rooftop. And then. He saw. He logged onto Facebook.
[5:33] Saw her chest. Innocent woman. She was just buffing. If it was other men. It wouldn't be a problem.
[5:45] But it's a woman. And she was fine. You can imagine. I can see your mind is going. The woman was very nice.
[5:57] I would say the woman was very nice. I don't know what. That means. But. She was very nice. And. He sent for her.
[6:09] And then. He said no. This thing is too good. This thing is good. And when the woman got. Within his prosperity. He. He couldn't. He couldn't. He was a king.
[6:21] So. He ministered to her. He ministered to her. And. Then. She went home the next day. So. He spent some time with her.
[6:33] And then. A few. Weeks later. She sent the king a message. That king. I'm pregnant. Huh? The Bible says.
[6:43] She actually sent a message. And the woman conceived. So. She sent. And told David. I am with child. Oy. But the husband was not around. If the husband was in town.
[6:54] That would be a problem. God would have. Passed the responsibility to him. But the man had traveled. He's fighting for. The. And so. David said.
[7:05] No. This is not a good idea. Let's quickly get your husband. To come back home. So he can come and spend time with you. Once he comes to spend time with you. It will imply that. It's him.
[7:16] You know. So that would be a good idea. So they sent for the husband to come. When the husband came. They said. The king is looking for you. The husband. Didn't go home. He came straight to the palace.
[7:27] And then David. Entertained him. Gave him some nice. And he said. Oh. Go home. Go home. And spend time. Then you can go later. And when David released him. He didn't go home.
[7:38] He went. To stay at the gate. With the security guys. And he said. No. Why is it that. My fellow. Church members are fasting. I'm going for banquet.
[7:49] Why is it that. My fellow. Members are praying. We are fasting. And praying. And I'm going to. Watch football. Because I've got a season's ticket. He said.
[8:00] No. I can't do that. This guy has integrity. So he didn't go. And. The next day. It was told David. That the guy didn't go. So David said. Oh. No. You didn't go and spend time with your wife.
[8:12] So David said. No. I have to do another one. So David got him drunk. Invited him. And gave him more alcohol. Yes. And David called him.
[8:22] He ate and drank before him. And he made him drunk. And at evening. He went out to lie. On his bed. With the servants of the Lord. He didn't go home. And did not go to his owner.
[8:33] What's wrong with this guy? So now. It's not working. So. It's time for him to go back to the battle. So David. Wrote a letter. Go and give it to the general. Army officer.
[8:44] And in the letter. I told him. This guy. Put him in where the battle. Is fiercest and rough. And then when you put him there. Redraw the soldiers from him. So he can't die.
[8:56] Yeah. David. If human beings wrote the Bible. They won't put this in. I don't. No, no. That Jesus. The son of David. Don't put this about David. But God uses people like you.
[9:07] Yes. That is why. As I was studying and praying. Something done on me. It didn't happen the second time. That he went for another Bathsheba. No. It was only one.
[9:18] You are having too many Bathsheba women. Great ex-orders. Anyway. So David. David.
[9:30] Send the letter. And when the letter got to Joab. Joab obeyed. And put him in the hottest part. And the guy died. Yes. Uriah died.
[9:40] And then they sent message. And told David that. It's done. The guy is dead. So David sent for. The woman. He said. Now I can marry you. David. David. David.
[9:53] So. Then God sent Nathan. The prophet. So Nathan went with the story. He said. There was a city. There was a town. And there was a man. Who was rich. And had a lot of sheep.
[10:04] And there was another poor man. In that same city. He had only one. And the guy loved the sheep. Sometimes the sheep would even come and sleep in his bed. And he treasured the sheep. Only one.
[10:15] And one day. The rich man had guests. And he wanted to give them a good sheep treat. So. He left his own sheep. And then went for that man who had only one sheep.
[10:28] Went and took his sheep. Slaughtered it. To serve his guests. And then. The prophet asked him. What should be done to such a man? The king.
[10:38] He was in judgment. He said. Such a man. As long as I live. Should not live. Is there? King David. He was very angry. David. David's anger was greatly aroused against the man.
[10:52] Say the man. Say the man. His anger was aroused against the man. And he said to Nathan. As the Lord lives.
[11:03] The man who has done this shall surely die. Then Nathan said. You are the man. Nathan said. You are the man. You are the man we are talking about. And he said.
[11:14] The Lord has given you a master's house. And your master's wives. Is there a house? So. In the other time. He gave him the wives too. So the throne and the wives that came with the throne. And he said.
[11:26] If that was not enough. If you are wanting more women. If you ask me. I will give you. So somebody said. God doesn't have problem. We have more. That's Old Testament.
[11:38] New Testament doesn't work like that. So. Jesus cannot have two wives. Only one bride. That's New Testament.
[11:49] Anyway. So if you are wanting. And so. Nathan said. What you did. You took somebody's wife. And killed the man. Blood is on your hands. The police didn't know it.
[12:01] But the Lord knew it. And then. David. Nathan went. David knew that. I'm a dead man. His heart smote him. Then. He went to God.
[12:13] And then wrote Psalm 51 for you. He wrote Psalm 51. He said. Have mercy upon me. Oh God. According to your loving kindness.
[12:23] And according to the multitude of you. That's that. That's the one that really blessed me. According to the multitude of your tender mercies. You have so much mercy.
[12:36] So it doesn't matter how far I've gone. I think I'm talking to somebody. It doesn't matter how far I've gone. Have mercy upon me. According to the multitude of your mercies.
[12:47] Wow. Blut out my transgression. It's not good. The thing is. Before you go. Clean it. You know there are times. Where there's a record in your life. You wish it didn't exist.
[13:00] You wish it didn't exist. Anytime you come to God. With that kind of heart. That this record. I wish it doesn't exist. Not because of what the police will find out. Not because of the trouble it's bringing you.
[13:12] But because of. When you stand before God. The thing is always standing on your mind. Sometimes there are times you stand before God. And something is also standing by your eyes. And it's speaking against you.
[13:24] Your conscience is telling you. Your conscience is telling you. So. David said. Look at verse 2. So we can pray. He said. Wash me thoroughly. From my iniquity.
[13:36] And cleanse me from my sin. Today we are going to pray that prayer. Yeah. Going to pray that prayer. Whatever the enemy is standing on.
[13:47] To block your miracle. We are going to disarm him. Because your sins. Will be washed away. Do you understand what I'm saying? Wash me. Verse 3. Wash me thoroughly from my sin.
[13:58] For I acknowledge my transgressions. And my sins is ever before me. I admit. Some people don't admit. So it's just my nature. It's just weakness.
[14:09] It's just weakness. Nobody's faultless. Instead of saying. I acknowledge my transgressions. Verse 4. I like this bit.
[14:20] This is so nice. It said. You are the only one who can forgive me. Others. It doesn't matter what they like me. Or they say. It's fine. We are all human. No. Or against thee. The only.
[14:31] Have I sinned. And done this evil in thy sight. That you might be justified. When you speak. And be clear. When you judge. Wow. Let's jump to verse 7.
[14:42] I like the verse 7. Purchase me with hyssop. And I shall be clean. Wash me. And I shall be whiter. Give us the. New living translation of that verse.
[14:53] Let's see. Thank you Jesus. Do you have new living? Purify me from my sins. And I will be clean. Wash me. And I will be whiter than snow. So it's a purge me.
[15:04] NIV. Cleanse me with hyssop. Hyssop. Hyssop is a type of bleach. It's like bleach. So this thing has gone far. Bleach me oh God.
[15:15] Bleach me. Can you imagine. If you are a genuine Christian. And this fasting. You go and sin. Can you imagine. The impact it will have on you.
[15:28] Cleanse me with hyssop. Verse 8. Make me to hear the joy of gladness. That my bones. Which thou have broken.
[15:39] May rejoice. It's like I'm a broken man. I just want. Look at the verse 9. And verse 10. I like. You like it. See. Say. Hide. Oh my goodness. My goodness. My goodness.
[15:50] Say. Hide your face. From my sins. And blot out. All my iniquity. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. I think we have to pray this prayer. We have to pray.
[16:01] Because you know. Because of the season. You are done with something. But the devil is going to hold you. Trust on to something. There are always things that are in your past.
[16:12] One thing I know. That the blood of Jesus cleanses all sins. Yeah. In 1st John chapter 1 verse 9. He said. And the blood of Christ.
[16:23] He said. Will cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Righteousness. Yeah. From all unrighteousness. Some. No. All. Whatever it is.
[16:34] Listen. Until that thing is settled. You might not be able to go free. Because Satan has a hold on your life. And you are breaking it not to go back again. Because you are done with this place.
[16:47] You are done with this prison. This prison. And constant struggling with this sin. Say. This fasting has broken addiction from some people.
[16:58] I am telling you. Some people are free. I am telling you. You will never. You are addiction free. Amen. If this fasting didn't achieve anything. For somebody.
[17:09] It is forever. You are free from this addiction. It says that. Hide your face from my sins. Look at verse 10. Create in me a clean heart.
[17:20] O God. And renew the right spirit within me. Say. Create in me. Create in me. A clean heart. A clean heart. And renew the right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence.
[17:31] And take not the Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation. And uphold me with thy free spirit. Verse 13. Verse 13. It is a prayer that means a lot to me.
[17:44] I will teach sinners. I will teach transgressors that way. And sinners shall be converted to thee. He said. Lord do this for me. And I will be your advocate to help people.
[17:56] To help people. To help others. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Amen. Is somebody identifying with this at all? Then.
[18:08] I want to show you something briefly. Then I will give you the prayer topic. We pray. Then I will pray for people. Wow. It doesn't matter. Even if I preach. This is important. Because Satan is using.
[18:20] Your past. To hurt your future. Meanwhile. I am telling you. There is victory in the future. Amen. It is a tie your garment. Get up your loins. Get up your loins.
[18:32] And get it up. Get yourself in a good running state. So that all these issues in your past. Doesn't keep coming to you. Doesn't keep coming to you. The worst bit is.
[18:43] When you are a Christian. And you vow to God. I won't sin. And then. You are going towards sin. And you know where you are going. Is not good. What you are about to do. Is not good. And even.
[18:53] There was a respite. In other words. There was an interruption. You could have walked away. And it didn't happen today. You planned again. And went tomorrow. And did.
[19:05] You know you are without excuse. It's not like. It took. I was. You were not overtaking. You overtook the sin. How many of you understand what I mean?
[19:17] Now. When that happens to you. It's more devastating to you as a Christian. Because you know you don't have an excuse. Because you. You. You did it willfully.
[19:28] Purposefully. And intentionally. When you get into that state. You feel like. If God strikes you. Sometimes you are surprised. Why hasn't God. Even. Your boss calls you.
[19:40] And you know that. Finally. A cabot. Do you know what a cabot means? A cabot means. The glory of God has departed. It's a serious thing. A cabot.
[19:50] A cabot. A cabot. A cabot. A cabot. When they took the act away. They said. A cabot. A cabot. The glory of God has departed. When your boss called you to the office.
[20:00] That we need to have a meeting. You knew. A cabot. You knew. A cabot. Yes. That's it. And she named the child. A cabot. Saying.
[20:11] The glory. Is departed from Israel. May that not be your story again. I stand here as a prophet. And I declare. A cabot will not be your story.
[20:23] A cabot will not be your story. A cabot will not be your story. A cabot will not be your story. A cabot will not be your story. You are done with this place.
[20:34] This is your transition. It will work for you. This season of change will work for you. This season of change will work for you. A cabot will not be your story. In the name of Jesus.
[20:46] so david said verse 16 says that this is where i want to explain something to you he said god doesn't want sacrifice pastor you are saying that sacrifice means something to god god uses a creek he said doesn't want it it's there in your bible for you do not desire sacrifice else i would have given it if you sacrifice you want you are bringing seed you are sowing seeds but your life your life is not pleasant to god there is sin in your life why are you bringing seed to church to the man of god or to the house of god you are bringing huge seed but you are still doing fraud you are bringing huge seed and you are still living with your boyfriend and you are bringing seed you are fasting and then you are you are fasting and living with your boyfriend and living with your girlfriend and you are fasting it's different you just you know when you just arrive in church you begin to realize oh this is no good and then gradually you'll be out of it but you know it you knew it before you even moved in this is a guy you met in church and you are bringing lord i give you some i'm fasting dry he said listen he said sacrifice is no sacrifice is not what you desire because sacrifice any tom dick and harry can give a sacrifice some people are so disciplined they can push themselves to the extreme sacrificing bible says sacrifice you did not desire so don't think it's just sacrifice god is looking for don't think it's something god is looking for from your hands no he said if that's what you i would have given you bent offering you do not delight in bent offerings look at the next verse the sacrifice of god a broken spirit a broken and a contrite heart this oh lord you will not despise my says that what god wants watch this is a broken heart somebody's heart is broken for what he did against god but some people it doesn't affect them all they can come and shout hallelujah amen they'll be there once that's it he said what god is looking for is a broken heart this fasting should give somebody you know when i say broken heart you know not not heartbreak but this type of broken brokenness of heart and contriteness of heart he said that is the kind of sacrifice god is looking for and you see can you imagine you sow a seed from a place of brokenness god cannot turn his face away from it so it's there it's in the bible it's there you do not despise look at the next verse do good in your good pleasure to zion build the walls of zion now look at the verse 19 it will tell you whether god likes sacrifice or not say then you shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness he didn't say god doesn't like sacrifice but not just give giving doesn't move god giving with brokenness that's what moves god i think i've really preached though that's what move god the holy ghost is coming upon you you see meanwhile you are fornicating
[24:47] and you don't have plans to finish and the usher touches you and spirit of fornication jumps on the usher oh i'm telling you you don't know that some people when the thing comes up you can tell that hey there are people who lay hands you can say from inscritic spirit is here masturbation pornography sometimes you can tell and you don't see it's not the thing you did but you don't have plans you have you are comfortably accommodating it with your spiritual work that's a problem that is a problem we must learn how to come to go with a broken god a church where sin is comfortably condoned can never see a move of the spirit properly we don't have to be judgmental we don't have to be holy we don't have to be intolerant but we have to uphold the righteousness of god we have to be able to help others to be strong we don't have to judge them we have to be able to cast them out great exodus great exodus some of you what you have said you have done is you say i'm done with this shame i'm done with this pain i'm done with this sin i'm done with this pornography i'm done with this masturbation and conication i'm done with this bitterness i'm done with this jealousy i'm done with this gossiping spirit i'm done i'm done i'm done i'm done i'm done i'm done i'm done if somebody's done say i'm done prayer topic now sometimes it's not about you but it's your family have sinned so Daniel chapter 9 verse 20 went before god and he says that now while i was speaking praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people is wrong so sometimes it's not only your sin some of you the things your mother has said against men of god is what is plaguing her the things your father has said against a man of god fought against a man of god you all knew he was a man of god fought or spoke against some churches we will shoot that church we will make sure we close out that church now it's your family that is getting closed down god has brought you into this season because you are done with this prison but there must be some confession of sin acknowledge it like david did and cut off from it acknowledge it and forsake it nehemiah did the same thing ezra did the same thing nehemiah chapter 1 he prayed for his sins and the sin of his people it says that let the sin let thine ear be attentive and thine eye be open that thou may hear the prayer of your servant which i pray before you now day and night for the children of israel thy servant and confess the sins of the children of israel which we sinned against thee both i and my father's house have sinned so sometimes it's not you you have to stand in the gap for your people that's what we are going to pray so that there can be a flow of that how many of you think this is a very good important prayer maybe marriage is difficult in your family maybe marriage is very difficult in your family probably your grandfather the fetish priest yeah yeah sports so the thing is lingering on the family but somebody needs to stand in the gap for the family
