[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry. Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's word.! May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you.

[0:14] ! Amen! Amen! Acts chapter 10. Verse 38. The Bible says that how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.

[0:47] For God was with him. Here ends the reading of God's word. Shall we please pray?

[1:01] Father, we thank you. We thank you and we thank you. Father, we thank you for giving us the opportunity to hear your word.

[1:12] As your word is taught, let grace be caught. As your word is dispensed, let oil be released.

[1:22] Amen! Let your Holy Spirit fall upon us so strong. Amen! Through the teaching of your word of truth. Amen!

[1:33] Nothing teaches the believer more than the anointing. Amen! For he said that we have the anointing in us and the anointing will teach us all things.

[1:45] Father, give us access into yourself. Amen! And pray to anyone who is not convicted, who is not born again, who is living in sin, let the power of sin be broken. Amen! Let the power of addiction be shattered.

[1:56] Amen! Set the captives free. Amen! Save the lost. Amen! Convict the sinning. Amen! To your glory in Jesus' name. Amen! Amen!

[2:07] Amen! Hallelujah! Amen! Praise God! Hallelujah! Well, I want to talk about let the oil flow.

[2:18] Yeah! It works! It works! Let the oil flow. Let's also say let the oil flow. Let the oil flow. Say it again, please. Let the oil flow.

[2:29] Let the oil flow. What makes a man be able to do God's work on earth? Whose work?

[2:40] God's work. So that's no man's work. How can a man do work that belongs to God? That's God's work.

[2:51] It's not a man's work. Those of you who are in universities, I can't come and do your lecturer's work. You understand? The teacher cannot do the head teacher's work.

[3:02] The biology teacher cannot go and be doing the arts teacher's work. So everybody has got their work. And God also has work on this earth.

[3:16] He's not a God who created the world and left it to run. He's a God who created the world and chose to get involved in the running of the world. That's why sometimes people say if there is God, why are people suffering?

[3:31] Because God is supposed to be part of the running of the world. But he gets involved based on conditions he sets in place. He's not Superman who doesn't have anything doing.

[3:43] Waiting for someone who is suffering and just rush and go there. Whether he's called, he's not invited. He just, that's Superman. He's like cosmic do-gooder. Looking for where there's trouble, then go and solve the problem.

[3:57] God is not that kind of God. He has set conditions in place. When he created the world, he set laws in place to run the world.

[4:10] So that everybody, the world can run by itself. Do you understand that? Without him necessarily getting involved for things to.

[4:22] So the Bible says that he sustains all things by the word of his power. So when he said, let there be light, he said it so there will be light.

[4:34] And that's how come we can see day and night, day and night, day and night. The Bible says as long as the world abides, day and night, seed time and harvest.

[4:48] It should not seed time. It's just a system that God has set in place. So you don't have to pray for summer to come. You don't have to pray for winter. In the same way, medical science.

[4:59] You don't have to be a Christian to be able to practice medical science. God has given the wisdom. He has put the systems in place so we can keep the world going. All right.

[5:10] But we will not fulfill the human purpose for creation without his involvement. And now because Satan has been given authorization to operate on this earth, you see, when he appeared to Jesus in Luke chapter 4, he showed him the kingdoms of the world.

[5:27] And he said, if you bow to me, I will give you all this for it has been delivered to me. Who delivered it to you? Was it God? No. God gave Adam the dominion. And then Adam, when he obeyed the devil in Romans chapter 6, where it says that whoever you obey, you are a slave to whatever you obey.

[5:45] So anything you obey, you become a slave to the thing. That's very interesting. So if you obey the devil, you become the devil's slave.

[5:57] Romans chapter 6, verse 16. And you know that to whom ye yield yourself, servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey. So if you obey the devil, you are a servant of the devil.

[6:09] So since Adam, the devil said, eat. And Adam ate. He did two things at the same time. He obeyed the devil and disobeyed God. Because they are not on the same track.

[6:23] So you are either left or right. You can't say, there's no middle ground. You are either with God or you are against God. God only has two groups of people on earth.

[6:33] Those with him and those who are not with him. Am I communicating something? Yeah, so Adam obeyed the devil. By obeying the devil, he handed his authority to govern the earth to the devil.

[6:47] From that time, the devil had full authority to operate here. He has full authority except those who are in God.

[6:58] So when you are in God, either through Abraham or from all the time of Noah, those in God by faith cannot be controlled by the devil.

[7:12] Are you getting it? So God didn't just create the world and left it to run. Now Satan is taking over and he can't do anything. No, God created the world and decided to be involved and give man dominion.

[7:25] He said, use your dominion to allow me to inhabit you. So that we can be one. God and man can be one. And through that oneness, we will operate on this earth.

[7:36] And Satan came and man became one with Satan. Wow. Yet God was still around. But now he can get involved in your life based on your obedience to him and your invitation to him.

[7:51] So if you are saying, if there is God, why are people suffering? Have you called on that God? People attempt to call on God, but not Jehovah God. Because there is a God-shaped hole in a man.

[8:03] A God-shaped consciousness in every human being. So it's actually very stupid to say there is no God. Because you are lying to yourself. You are lying.

[8:13] You know it. They don't have to teach you. It is natural. It comes by default. It's called common sense. So that's why in Psalm 14 verse 1, Psalm 53 verse 1, it said, it is very foolish to say there is no God.

[8:28] The fool has said in his heart, there is no God. Because the evidence of God doesn't need to be asked for. It's always in your face. Your shoe is a sign that God exists.

[8:41] Everything created, Bible says that, it's from his invisible attributes are clearly seen from creation. In the book of Psalm, it says, all heavens declare the glory of the people.

[8:55] So God created the earth to be part of the earth. But he gave it to man and man gave it to the enemy. But from that day, anyone who calls on his name is on standby. If you call on the true God.

[9:07] If you call on the true God. His name is Jehovah, Yahweh. His name is Jehovah and Yahweh. Okay. So God created the world and God evolved in running of the world.

[9:22] His parts of the world. So he's actually, oh, this is the point I'm making. He created the world for a purpose. Man turned against God and let the world into the satanic corruption and satanic control.

[9:37] Now, God still decided not to leave the running of the world just by his own. He's always behind the scenes and working. So you know what? From the very day Adam and Eve sinned and disobeyed God, he showed up.

[9:52] Genesis chapter 3. Adam, where are you? We heard your voice and we were afraid. We thought, how did you know? Because you are naked. Who told you you are naked? You've been talking to some wrong guys.

[10:03] You've been watching some bad things online. Yeah. Yeah. What have you been watching online? Who's been telling you this kind of information? And he said, have you seen what I told you not to?

[10:16] You've disobeyed me. He said, it's the woman. The woman. The woman. The woman. It's important to understand that when you allow God, you come into your life.

[10:29] So God told Adam, what you been doing? And Adam said, it's just, just, just, just the woman. So God said, woman, why did you do that?

[10:40] And he said, the devil. And God went to the devil. He didn't ask him questions. He started cursing. He cursed the devil. So God has always been involved. And when he finished cursing the devil, he told the man and the woman, because of this, the consequence that is going to come upon you.

[10:53] But instead of you dying, you will give birth. So right from there, God programmed the redemption plan. God executed the redemption plan.

[11:06] He said, there's a man coming. Because this devil thing has done, no one can handle him. There's a man coming. So when God said, we didn't know. So it was Isaiah and some of the prophets who came to define him as the Messiah.

[11:22] So the Messiah, the word Messiah means the anointed one and his anointed. So to deal with the devil, he said, it takes a Messiah.

[11:36] It takes some oil. To deal with the devil. Now, when we talk about oil, why are we talking about oil?

[11:48] Because oil is symbolic. When we say oil, it's symbolic. When you study the scriptures very carefully, the Bible talks in Exodus chapter 25, verse 6.

[11:59] It says that oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil, and for sweet incense.

[12:09] Now, look at Exodus 29, 7. Exodus 29, 7. Then shalt thou take the anointing oil. What oil? Anointing oil.

[12:21] So no, this is not for eating. It's for anointing. Anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him. So what does it mean to anoint somebody?

[12:32] To anoint somebody is to be pouring oil on that person. This is very important. To anoint simply means to apply oil on something.

[12:46] Particularly a person. So either pour or put oil on. That is what it means to anoint. So it stands to imply you cannot anoint without oil.

[13:02] You only anoint. You can't anoint with water. Okay. You can soak or wet something with water.

[13:13] But you anoint with oil. So when we say somebody is being anointed, it means oil is being applied on the person.

[13:24] So sometimes when we say give me oil, another way of saying anoint me. If I want more oil.

[13:35] If I want more oil. Oh God, I'm trying to say more anointing. Because you can't anoint without oil.

[13:47] Psalm 23. Thou anointed my head with water? No. Oil. Oil. With juice? No.

[14:00] With powder? No. Psalm 23 verse 5. It said, thou anointed my head with oil.

[14:13] In Psalm 133 verse 2, it said, it is like the oil. It is like the precious ointment. The same thing, ointment, same oil.

[14:23] If you change the translation, maybe we'll get oil. It's like the precious ointment. Like the precious oil. Upon the head. The oil comes on the head.

[14:38] That's where your thinking starts from. You think from your head. And so, that is why when we lay hands, we lay hands usually on the head.

[14:49] And when we are anointing, we usually anoint the head. For francing. So, anointing is applying oil.

[15:00] So, when we say someone has been anointed, it means the person has been oiled. Psalm 92 verse 11 says that, you shall exalt my horn like that of the unicorn.

[15:12] So, verse 10. You shall exalt my horn. Thou shall exalt like that of the unicorn. It says that, I shall be anointed with fruit. Did you see that?

[15:22] That means there can be old oil. Okay. And fresh oil. Okay. Fresh oil is like I'm anointed for something new again. Wow. I'm anointed for something new again.

[15:34] Because the oil can go stale and can go dirty or rusty. Old oil is no good. Old oil attracts flies. I pray that anyone here operating on old oil, may God anoint your head with fresh oil.

[15:53] Somebody shout fresh oil. Fresh oil. So, it says that thou anointed my head with oil.

[16:04] So, when we talk about oil, we are actually, it's another expression for oilization. Anointing means being oilized.

[16:16] That's my own coin English. Oilization of the brethren. Yeah. I like it. I like it.

[16:28] And it's necessary. Now, when we talk about anointing, so anytime I say anointing, I mean oil being applied. Anytime I say oil is interchangeable.

[16:39] That's very important. That's very important. But why oil? Because oil is a symbol.

[16:49] In fact, the anointing oil in Exodus chapter 30, 23 hours. God gave them specific, most specific instruction on how to prepare the oil with certain ingredients.

[17:01] So, it's not just any ordinary oil. Because this is supposed to be applied on people. That's why Aaron is anointed. In Exodus chapter 30, verse 30, it talks about Aaron, you shall, it said, and thou shall anoint Aaron and his sons.

[17:20] And consecrate them. It's just set them apart. Consecrate them that they may minister in the priest's office.

[17:30] That is what authorizes them to be in the office. Because the oil is supposed to be poured upon them. You shall anoint them. That means pour oil on Aaron and sons.

[17:43] And then by doing that, you are saying that this one has been set aside for this particular function. In 1st Kings chapter 19, verse 15, Jehovah God himself told Elijah.

[17:58] He says that go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus. And when you arrive, anoint. You know what anointing means? What does it mean? Pour oil on Aaron.

[18:08] All right. Oilization means pour oil. Apply the oil on somebody. He said, when you go, anoint Hazael as king of Assyria.

[18:21] Oh, okay. Anoint him as king. All right. Something's going on here. Look at the next verse. Also, you shall anoint Jehu, the son of Nimshi, as king over Israel.

[18:33] Oh, okay. So the anointing is supposed to make them become something. Yeah. Wow. All right. Wow. And Elisha, the son of Shaphat, of Abel, Mahola, you shall anoint as prophets in your place.

[18:50] He's about to replace you. Wow. Oh, dear. But this job cannot be done without oil. As I said, the work of God is God's work on earth. He hasn't left the earth. He's still working.

[19:01] But for you to do his work, he uses human beings. Why? Because God is his spirit. Yeah. But the earth is material and physical. So for the spirit to do something physical, he needs physical agents.

[19:16] He needs physical agents, not angels. Human beings are the only authorized agents heaven recognizes to work on this earth.

[19:27] That is why if human beings don't pray, he won't come. Bible says that God has sits in the heaven, is giving the earth to the sons of men. Yeah. Yeah. So it's the sons of men that run it, and Satan has hijacked it.

[19:40] Wow. Do you understand that? So for you to do God's work, he must then pour himself on you. Yeah. Just for the records.

[19:51] Well, oil signifies the spirit of God. Yeah. So in 1 Samuel chapter 16 verse 13, the scriptures say, and David was anointed in the midst of his brother, and the spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day.

[20:13] Which day? The day he was anointed. Yeah. So when the oil is applied, the spirit is attracted. Woo! In 1 Samuel chapter 10 verse 1, Samuel took the flux of oil and poured it upon Saul.

[20:32] Because God has appointed him. Is it not because the Lord has anointed you commander over his inheritance? Why are you pouring oil? It's because that you have been appointed by God for a particular function.

[20:44] So I'm speaking about two things now. I'm speaking about the fact that when the oil is applied, the oil signifies the Holy Spirit. The oil signifies the Holy.

[20:55] The oil is not the Holy Spirit, but it's a symbolism of the Holy Spirit. And in the Old Testament, they applied it to attract the spirit. That's very important.

[21:06] But then Jesus comes on the scene in Luke chapter 4 verse 18, and he goes into Isaiah and pulls a text.

[21:18] And then he said, this text was about me. Isaiah spoke in Isaiah 61 in the first person. He didn't say the spirit of the Lord is upon him.

[21:30] Isaiah said the spirit of the Lord is upon me. But as he was speaking, he wasn't speaking about himself. Just like David said, the Lord said to my Lord, sit down at my right hand until I make your enemies.

[21:44] So in Isaiah 53, he talks about servant Savior who said he was bruised for iniquities. He was talking about him. He was second person. He didn't say I was bruised. But in Isaiah 61, he said the spirit of the Lord is upon me.

[21:58] So the prophets, sometimes they spoke in the first person, even though it wasn't them. Like David being a prophet, according to Acts chapter 2 from verse 30.

[22:08] The Bible said David was a prophet, and he spoke that the Messiah will not see corruption. Verse 29. That will not suffer your Holy One to see corruption. And Peter said when David spoke about that, he wasn't speaking about himself.

[22:21] Because his tomb is with us till today we can see it. So he saw corruption. Obviously, then he wasn't talking about himself. But Peter said because David was a prophet, and God has promised that after his seat, he will raise the Messiah, him being a prophet, spoke concerning the resurrection of the anointed one.

[22:43] When you listen to David, you think he's talking about himself. No, he wasn't the one he was talking about. He was speaking about the Messiah. What gave him the audacity to speak like that?

[22:54] Peter said David being a prophet, him being a prophet. So David was a prophet. That's how the prophet sometimes operated. Verse 30 says that therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God has sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he will raise up the Christ to sit on his throne.

[23:13] Look at the next verse. Verse 31. He foreseeing this spoke concerning the resurrection. Meanwhile, he was quoting David. So he said David was not talking about himself. In the same way, Isaiah said, the Spirit of the Lord is upon me.

[23:25] For he has a noe. Oh, come on, shanda. Then Jesus Christ, he, according to Luke chapter 3, verse 21, people were being baptized. He also was being baptized.

[23:36] And him praying, the heavens was opened. And oh my goodness, the Spirit of the Lord descended for the first time in a bodily form like a dove. Come on, shanda. The Holy Ghost came down in a bodily form, as a dove, and settled on him.

[23:51] And a voice came from heaven. This is my beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased. And then Bible says that the 10th chapter 4, verse 1, he was led by the Spirit after the baptism.

[24:04] He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted. And then he went into the Spirit full of the Holy Spirit. Verse 14 of Luke chapter 4, he came out of the wilderness.

[24:15] He went into the wilderness full of the Holy Spirit. Verse 14, he came out of the wilderness full of the power of the Holy Spirit. Then he went to Nazareth, where he had been brought about Galilee.

[24:26] He went to his hometown. And then in the verse 16, as his custom was, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day. And he was given to read. He stood up to read.

[24:36] Oh my goodness. He read, and then he found, I like it, verse 17. He found, then verse 18 says, the Spirit of the Lord is upon me. Why?

[24:46] For he has... Anointing. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Anointing is with oil. We never saw where Jesus' oil was poured upon him. He now came to give a proper explanation of what the oil was.

[25:04] Yes. His anointing took place during the baptism. Okay. Yeah. The Holy Spirit came in a bodily form.

[25:15] Yes. Because the spirit, the spirit is spirit. It's not physical. You can't see him. You can't physically feel him. You can't touch him. He's intangible because it's spirit.

[25:28] But that's why we apply oil to represent that which is spirit. And God gave them clear instructions on how to prepare this oil that symbolizes the Holy Ghost.

[25:41] And so, when it was only Jesus who was anointed under the Old Testament, Wow. The New Testament never started until the resurrection.

[25:52] Yeah. So Jesus operated under the Old Testament. Okay. That's why he came to fulfill the law. He did everything about the law.

[26:03] And he said, I've done all you asked me to do. He fulfilled the law. He said, I don't think I came to destroy the law. I came to fulfill it.

[26:15] I came to fulfill the law. Matthew chapter 5 from Psalm 5 verse 17 also. I came to fulfill the law. I came to fulfill it. I came to fulfill it.

[26:26] I came to fulfill it. Do not think that I came to destroy the law and the prophet. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill it. And then in Matthew chapter 11 verse 11 or 13, It says, For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

[26:44] All the prophets. He was the last of the prophets. Jesus was not a prophet. He was God. He was God.

[26:56] Even though every godly person that has ever lived on this earth had their reference points in Jesus. So David being a king, if he's a godly type of king, you see his reference points not anywhere but in Jesus.

[27:13] So Jesus was a king. But more than a king. He wasn't just a king. You see the godly type of king in Jesus. He was a priest. More than a priest.

[27:23] You see the godly type of priest in Jesus. He was a prophet. More than a prophet. You see a godly. So every type of office. There were three. The priest, the king, and the prophet.

[27:34] They all found their reference because he was the ultimate king, ultimate prophet, and the ultimate priest. That's why he's the Messiah.

[27:45] Because the combination of all the anointings, that is what the Messiah is. Now, watch this. All the prophets in the Old Testament were a type of Messiah.

[27:59] So this is a small Messiah. Small Messiah. The kings were small Messiah. But Christ, the Messiah himself, he was the one ultimately anointed for all the offices.

[28:10] So after Jesus, what kind of prophet again? John the Baptist said, someone is coming after me.

[28:21] The one in God's order, the one coming after you is supposed to be greater. That's why Jesus said, you do greater works. The one coming after me. So are you trying to tell me there's another prophet greater than God himself?

[28:37] No, that's the prophet made in China. Is somebody learning something? So it's important to understand that Jesus Christ, when he stepped down and he was baptized, the Holy Spirit calls you cannot be the Messiah without anointing.

[29:00] Because the Messiah simply means the anointed one. Wait. Anointed one. Anointed one means that somebody applied oil on you.

[29:13] You don't anoint yourself. That's why John the Baptist said, I cannot baptize you. He said, no, no, you have to. Because if you baptize, it takes a certain level of humility.

[29:24] I know you have finished Bible school. Don't join a church and look for the front seat. One of the things I'm going to be showing you is what it takes for the oil to keep flowing. Most people are operating in old, stinking oil.

[29:39] Stale. So Jesus Christ had to be baptized. But John the Baptist said, but I can't do this for you. You are bigger than me. He said, do it.

[29:50] Because then during the baptism, the heavens were open. Because God himself has to now directly pour anointing. But he's not going to do it with oil down.

[30:01] He came with another symbol of a dove. So it says that then the heavens was open and the Holy Spirit descended. Watch this.

[30:11] The words were in a bodily form. It doesn't mean the Holy Spirit is a dove. Or when you see a dove, it's the Holy Spirit. No. It's blasphemy. It's blasphemy to say the Holy Spirit is a dove.

[30:26] Because that's a creature. The Holy Spirit is God himself. But because we are human entities and we operate in the physical world, then always when it comes to anointing, there always must be something that looks physical, tangible, to trigger the supernatural in a person's life.

[30:45] So Jesus being the anointed one, he had to be anointed. During the baptism, the heavens opened and God himself poured the Holy Spirit on him.

[30:55] The Holy Spirit descended. The Bible said he alighted on him. And then God said, this is he. This is he. This is the king of the ages. This is the one the universe has always been waiting for.

[31:07] This is he. This is he. This is he. This is he. John the Baptist the next day sees him coming. He said, this is behold the Lamb of God who takes away of him. Then he said, this is he. Of him I said, there is one coming after me.

[31:21] He is bigger than me. Whose shoes I am not worthy to. I did not know him. But he does send me. No, he said, but that verse 31. John 1, 31. But that he might be revealed to Israel. That's why I came.

[31:32] My assignment is to come so that he will be revealed to Israel. I did not know him. But the one who sent me said, the one you see the Holy Ghost coming upon. He is the one. He is the one.

[31:44] And now after that, Jesus then goes to fast 40 days. After the 40 days, he comes into the synagogue in his hometown. Enters the synagogue and was given to him to read.

[31:54] And he found in a place in Isaiah where it was written concerning him. So now, he read it and said, the spirit of the Lord is upon me. For he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.

[32:08] And then after that, he said, this scripture, what? He said, today, this scripture is fulfilled. That means it has never been fulfilled.

[32:21] So how about the anointings that they had told? No, no, no, no. Those were no anointings. There were types of anointing. A type, a shadow. It's like replica.

[32:34] It's a symbolism of anointing. But the real anointing is the Holy Spirit. So what I'm trying to tell you is, the main scripture we read in Acts 10, verse 38, said how God anoints, not with just oil.

[32:48] So that means that when we are doing the oil, what we are talking about is actually the Holy Spirit, the triangle. So now, quickly, I want to tell you five reasons for the anointing.

[33:00] Why people get anointed. Number one, quickly, I said it. You know, I said I was talking on two things. He said, Aaron and Sons sanctify them into the office of a priest.

[33:11] Anoint them so they will be set apart. So the anointing is applied on a person for function or for an appointment. So God has appointed you.

[33:23] He said, I have found my servant, David Psalm 89, verse 20. With my holy oil will I anoint him. So one of the purposes of anointing is to set you apart into or appoint you into an office.

[33:39] That's why Jesus was anointed. He was the Messiah, but he was anointed by God himself into his humanity, was anointed by God himself into his messianic office.

[33:49] So, number one, why the anointing? The purpose of anointing is appointment. David was anointed. From that day on, the Spirit of all came upon him.

[34:02] Elisha, we saw it in 1 Kings chapter 19, said, Anoint Elisha, the son of Shaphat, or Mahola. 1 Kings chapter 19, verse 16. Verse 16, anoint Elisha, the son of Shaphat, of Abel Mahola, as prophet in your place.

[34:19] So, as prophet. What's the purpose for the anointing? As prophet. It's an appointment. And we saw in Scripture how Saul, Shaul, in 1 Samuel chapter 10, he was anointed to be the king of Israel.

[34:39] And then we saw how Jesus himself, he has anointed me to function in a certain office, to preach. Alright. So, number one is appointments into an office.

[34:52] Number two is for supernatural accomplishments. I told you God is still involved in the running of the earth, or the world. Okay.

[35:03] In human affairs. But, he uses people to do his work. So, if God is going to use you to do his work, his work is supernatural in nature. So, what I'm doing here is an anointed work.

[35:15] So, the more the oil is flowing, that means the greater things you can do. Do you know why Jesus told them, I'm sending you to go and do my work. Don't leave Jerusalem.

[35:27] Tarry ye. In Luke chapter 24, verse 49, said, tarry ye until you are endued. That's King James I'm reading now. Until you are enveloped with power. Because you are going, I said, go into the world and preach the gospel.

[35:39] But wait. Can you imagine? Said, go, but wait. Before you go, wait. Wait for what? Wait for you shall receive power. After the Holy Spirit has come upon you, Acts chapter 1, verse 8.

[35:51] So, after the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you receive power to do the work. Do you understand what I'm saying? So, you receive the power to do the work because the work of God is supernatural in nature.

[36:03] In Acts chapter 19, verse 11, Bible talks about how God did special miracles. Now, miracles are extraordinary. Now, special ones.

[36:14] And that's on some translations, unusual miracles by the hand of Paul. His hand. Who is he? He said, know where he might be. But supernatural activities were manifesting through his hands.

[36:27] Somebody, Nicodemus came to Jesus in John chapter 3, verse 2. He said, we know you are a teacher sent from God. How? Because no man can do these things except God be with him.

[36:38] There are some supernatural activities that happen in your life that can only point to anointing. Anointing. It's sad to have churches led by people who are not anointed.

[36:51] Wow. And every church leader, if there's something you should look for, look for more anointing, not more congregation. If you look for the anointing, the congregation will come.

[37:05] Yeah. Yeah. Woo. Okay. We should organize our church meetings to attract the Holy Spirit, not to attract crowd. Wow. Yeah. Because when the Holy Spirit comes, the crowd will come.

[37:16] Yes. That's it. Yes. All men. When the Holy Spirit comes, he will draw all men to himself. On the day of Pentecost, the Bible said, and when this was noise abroad, many came. Many came.

[37:27] And 3,000 were added to the church one day because of the supernatural nature of what was happening. Yeah. So, the work of God is very supernatural.

[37:38] And because it's supernatural, it requires an anointing. Yes. Some of the brothers and sisters in the church, in the choir, in the ushers, they are not anointed.

[37:50] So, they are doing the work of God with carnal abilities. Wow. You can't bless anybody by your shouting. Wow. Your nice voice doesn't bless.

[38:03] No. It can tickle people's emotions. Oh, yeah. It will make them feel good. I like your singing. Michael Jackson has a better one. Oh, yeah. Oh, yes.

[38:13] Oh, yes. Oh, yes. But for it to go past the flesh into somebody's spirit, it takes anointing.

[38:25] It takes oil. Oil. Oil. Oh, when the oil comes upon you, it's one of the sweetest experiences in life. Because you look at yourself, how natural, how human you are, yet your results are so supernatural.

[38:43] And you can't take the credit. You know that, oh, boy. People will be clapping for you, but you know, when you go into your closet, you say, God, I know I can take credit for this.

[38:54] This is God, because my mother didn't give me this. My dad didn't teach me this. When somebody's operating by the anointing, and they claim his anointing, and they tell you, I've been like that since my mother, when I was a child, it's a lie.

[39:07] It's a lie. Sometimes we make, we put emphasis on humanity, and we marginalize the place of the oil. None of us could do what we are doing until a day, such a day, when an oil found us.

[39:24] Anything you can do to get heaven's endorsement, and to be accredited by heaven, that is the work of God. It is only an anointing you received.

[39:34] You were not born with it. You received at a point in time. And the greater things that God is here to do with your life and my life is predicated on another anointing that is coming.

[39:48] Yeah. He doesn't anoint you once and for all. That's why I said, let the oil flow. The oil is not like educational certificate.

[40:02] You study and you get it. No, no, no, no, no. It doesn't work like that. It doesn't work like that. It doesn't work like that. You have to keep staying where you got it to keep it flowing.

[40:13] The anointing is like power. Electric power. Once you disconnect it, that's it. That's it. If you argue with your phone providers and they cut off your phone, that's it.

[40:26] It doesn't matter how expensive your iPhone is or your whatever phone is or whatever. Once they disconnect, you can't make phone calls. You can't make phone calls. I'm talking on phone calls.

[40:38] Are you getting what I'm saying? Yeah. Internet. If your internet provider switches off, that's it. That's it. Yes. So, why does God anoint people?

[40:49] One, for appointment. Two, for supernatural accomplishments. Number three, thank you, Jesus. It's for healing.

[41:05] So, sometimes, when someone is sick, they anoint the person for healing. So, that oil that is applied, it says, anyone among you sick, James chapter 5, from verse 13, 14, let him call for the elders of the, let them anoint them.

[41:22] You know, so, there's an anointing that is done for the sick, for healing. And then, the anointing oil is also applied for, sometimes, the Bible calls it the oil of gladness.

[41:36] the oil of gladness, the sweetness in your walk with God. You just enjoy God. Just, an anointing comes on you that makes you enjoy God.

[41:49] When he said, the spirit of the Lord is upon me, in Isaiah chapter 61, verse 3, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beautiful ashes, the oil of joy, see, an oil of joy for mourning.

[42:04] Sometimes, do you know, you can be going through a very terrible situation, and yet, people are confused how you're going through this, and you are fine. You are even still laughing. You are still laughing.

[42:15] How can you lose this situation? How can you beat this situation? And, the impact it normally has on people is not having on you. Because, there's something called oil of gladness, and oil of joy.

[42:29] Praise the Lord. And then, let me add one more thing that oil does, which this one, I think you should like it. Yeah. 1 John chapter 2, verse 27, but the anointing which you have received from him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you.

[42:50] But as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, now what does that mean? The anointing can come on you to give you some deep insights.

[43:02] Deep, godly insights. My revelation about a few things. You know, you can teach me, but the insight doesn't come from your voice.

[43:15] So, I'm attempting to teach you. That's why I pray that Lord, let your anointing be upon my teaching. Then, it makes my teaching go past your ears, into your heart.

[43:26] that's what makes the teaching go further than just hearing. Now, besides that, even if it gets to your heart, my voice can teach you. It's an anointing that comes upon the self.

[43:43] So, sometimes we can come into a service and there's an anointing on the service. There's an anointing on the teaching. There's an anointing on the minister. And that anointing is responsible for deep insights.

[43:56] So, when you are being taught, suddenly, it's like the light bulb comes up. Wow! Wow! I got it! And you know, that's why sometimes it's good to give.

[44:06] I like feedback. When I finish teaching, I would like to say, what did you hear? And when you ask people, sometimes they will say things that you, oh, wow, I said that. So, sometimes I actually like listening to myself.

[44:18] Sometimes, even though many preachers, it's not nice to listen to yourself because you can see, you say a lot of rubbish. Oh, my best. Oh, yeah. Listen, it's not our good preaching that makes the gospel work.

[44:32] Okay. It is the gospel that makes our lousy preaching work. Oh! The gospel content is what makes our nonsense preaching work.

[44:43] Yeah. It's not our good preaching that makes the gospel work. No. It's an anointing! Yes. Yes. You want God to use you, your first part of call is God, anoint me.

[44:58] Yes. Anoint me. Anoint me. Anoint me. You want God to continue to use you, you have to ask God, let the oil keep flowing.

[45:09] Yeah. Let the oil flow. I don't have to lay hands on you for you to catch anointing. Yes. Teaching, anointed teaching brings anointing. The oil.

[45:21] So, the anointing gives you insight. There are times you'll be reading your Bible and you'll see things that no one seems to have noticed.

[45:33] You can see things that it's like you've never heard before. Those of us who get the privilege to preach, there are times you'll be preaching and you'll say something, wow, I've never even noticed this.

[45:45] I never knew this, especially if you pray. That's why if you want God to use you, better open your mouth and start talking to somebody else.

[45:58] I'll say it again. The one who doesn't open your mouth and you are not dumb. You don't open your mouth to bother to share the gospel, the truth of the gospel to somebody.

[46:10] When you open your mouth and it doesn't matter who is, it can be your cousin, it can be your child, it can be somebody you've met, a well colleague, attempt to just tell them about the Messiah.

[46:24] Tell them about Christ. He died for our sins. As you attempt to do it, you trigger something. As you trigger it, the oil begins, the anointing begins to give you insight.

[46:39] Somebody can ask you a question as you are teaching and you will know where the answer comes from. suddenly the answer comes. And then when you finish giving the answer in your head, you are clapping for yourself and say, wow, wow, wow, yeah.

[46:59] Is someone getting something at all? So, the spirit of God, the anointing teaches us. The anointing teaches. So, these are some of the things the anointing comes to do.

[47:14] Are you getting it? This is very important. These are some of the things that anointing comes to do. Quickly, now let me just move on to talk to you about the oil damas flow. This is so crucial what I'm about to say, brothers and sisters.

[47:29] This is so crucial for me. The main text we read in Acts chapter 10, verse 38. If you don't mind, I want us all to read it out loud.

[47:40] Let's go. How God anointed Jesus of God with the Holy Spirit and with power to rest our to be good and give it all to the rest by the devil for God was with him.

[47:53] Wow. Wow. So, he went about healing. You see the anointing, what the anointing can do. And he said, for God, that's an appointment. God was with him. That's an appointment.

[48:04] All right. So, how God, the nature of the anointing that came on Jesus, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power who went about doing.

[48:18] Now, when we say Jesus the Christ is the same as Jesus the Messiah. The word Christ equals to Messiah.

[48:29] Christ is translated, transliteration from the Greek, Christos. but the Hebrew of Christos is Mashiach, which is Messiah and Christos is translated Christ.

[48:44] So, you can say Messiah in some translations in John chapter 1, we have found him, the Messiah, of whom Moses in the law wrote about, the Messiah. John chapter 1, verse 44, somewhere there.

[48:57] So, and then when you look at that translation, it says that we are found him of whom Moses in the law wrote about, Jesus of Nazareth. we found the Messiah. In fact, I think from verse 41, it spoke about the Messiah.

[49:09] Okay? That's the Messiah. First found his brother Simon and said, we have found the Messiah. What's it? Be translated Christ. Okay? So, Messiah is the same as Christ.

[49:22] So, in Hebrew, it's Yeshua. Yeshua is the Hebrew Jesus. Yeshua Hamashiach. Jesus Christ, the anointed one with his anointing. Okay?

[49:32] So, if you translate the main text we read, Acts chapter 10, verse 38, if you read it in the Amplified, how God anointed and consecrated Jesus Christ with the spirit and with strength and ability and power.

[49:46] All right, let's go to John 1, verse 41. Let's see. Sometimes, the Amplifier will explain the Messiah. Okay? We have found, which is translated, Christ, the anointed one.

[49:57] You see? The anointed one. Other places to explain are the anointed one, and his anointing. I'm saying this, this is very important in the teaching. This is very important.

[50:08] If I stop on this, it's even better because I'm going to go a little bit deep or, permit me to use the word, strong in Christocentric theology.

[50:21] this matter brought up. When we say Jesus is the Christ, in Matthew chapter 16, verse 16, Simon Peter said, you are the Christ.

[50:36] You are the Christ, the son of the living God. How does Amplifier put it? You are the Christ, the same, the son of, the Christ there means the Messiah. Now, this is very important.

[50:48] Everybody say the Messiah. He is the one who anoints us. 1 John chapter 2, verse 20. 1 John chapter 2, verse 20.

[51:00] So, but you have an anointing from the Holy One and you know all things. The Holy One is Jesus. Our anointing is not from the prophet Samuel.

[51:13] Our anointing is not from one of the prophets who poured oil in the people's heads, on the people's heads. Our anointing in the New Testament is from Jesus. Bible says that in 2 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 20, all the promises of God in him are ye and in him are ye to amen to the glory of God through us.

[51:39] Now, look at verse 21. Verse 21 says that now, he who establishes us with you in Christ and are anointed as is God. Right.

[51:49] So, our anointing comes directly from God. Now, this is important because it has to happen in Christ. Is somebody getting what I'm saying? Anointing in the New Testament, Christ is the ultimate anointing.

[52:03] If I put oil on your head, it doesn't mean I am really anointing you. Christ is the anointing. Now, this is so important. Now, what is the actual oil that is used to anoint us in the New Testament is what?

[52:19] The Holy Spirit. Now, this is very important. Listen, don't forget it. So, the Holy Spirit is our oil. Now, when we talk about the Holy Spirit, I'm about to say something very strong.

[52:32] Now, in Romans chapter 8 verse 9, the Bible uses a phrase referring to the Holy Spirit in a unique way that has not really been used in Scripture before.

[52:44] He says that, but you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit if indeed the Spirit of God. The Spirit what? The Spirit what? So, that's the Spirit of God.

[52:55] But that's not all we said about the Spirit. If the Spirit of God dwells to you. Now, if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, is it the Spirit of God or the Spirit of Christ?

[53:08] If you don't have the Spirit of Christ, he said the Spirit of God dwells in you. The Spirit of God is the Creator God.

[53:19] He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Now, when the Spirit of God comes into you, God is a spirit.

[53:31] John 4, 24. God is a spirit. All right? That's why I say God is a spirit. In 2 Corinthians chapter 3, verse 17, he says that the Lord is the Spirit.

[53:47] And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Okay? Now, when you see that God is a spirit and he says that the Spirit of God is not just talking about Holy Spirit, but he's talking about God is three in one.

[54:01] God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. There are not three people who live in us. He's one God, but He's the triune God, the Spirit of the... Because God the Father, God the Son, God the Spirit.

[54:13] He says spirit. So when he said God the Spirit dwells in you, he's talking about the Spirit of the triune God. Now, when we talk about the Spirit of Christ, that gets it a bit interesting.

[54:29] What's the meaning of the Spirit of Christ? Do you remember the name Christ? The Spirit of the anointed and disanointed. Now, watch this. The Christ definitely didn't begin as a spirit.

[54:44] The Christ is a human person. That's why they said we have found the Christ. Isaiah spoke about the Christ. David spoke about the Christ.

[54:54] The Christ is not a spirit. It's a human being coming on earth. So, when we said Christ, now, the last question Jesus asked his enemies, those who kept challenging him, the Sadducees and the Pharisees, the last question he asked them and shut them up is in Matthew chapter 22, verse 41.

[55:18] After the lawyer came and said that which one is the greatest commandment? Jesus said love the Lord your God and love your neighbors. All the commandments hang on this thing. then Jesus said me to ask you a question.

[55:31] So, Jesus asked them the next way Jesus said saying while the Pharisees were gathered together Jesus asked them what did he ask them? Saying what do you think about what's the Christ?

[55:44] The anointed one and he said whose son is he? That means a human being. Look at the answer. How many of you agree with me that the answer was correct? The answer was correct but it wasn't complete.

[55:58] There was a deeper part of the answer they didn't know. He said who do you think is the Christ? What do you think? Whose son is he? They said wow, this is not anything that is too strange.

[56:08] We all know that there is a son of David coming. He is going to be the Christ. So, I am trying to use this to underscore the point that the Christ is a human being. The Christ is supposed to be a human being but a human being with so many qualities and titles culminating in one person it couldn't have been any other person.

[56:32] The human being who is going to reign over all, who is going to save people from their sins, who is going to cast out devils, command demons, he is going to be born by a virgin.

[56:43] He must take all these balls, he must be born by a virgin, he must heal the sick, he must have power over nature, he must work miracles, he must have power over demons, he must be killed by his enemies, he will be betrayed, killed by his enemies, he will be buried, he will say things that no one has ever been able to say, he will say things about God, reveal God, he will be buried and the third day he will rise again from the dead by himself without any human assistance and then he will rise up to heaven and that's not all, he will be seated at the right hand of majesty as a human being.

[57:18] That's the Christ, that's the Christ, that's the Christ, that's the Christ, he will be seated on the right hand of majesty, oh, he says that, for, for, see we are, so great, a cloud of Hebrews chapter 12 verse 1, let us run with perseverance, the race that is set before, oh my goodness, looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith, look for the joy that was set before him, endure the cross, despising the faith, and what does he say, and he sat at the right hand of the throne of God, shout hallelujah, hallelujah, Hebrews chapter 1 verse 2, Hebrews chapter 1 verse 2, it talks about Jesus Christ, and it says that, who has spoken by Jesus Christ, who has, he has pointed all and all things through whom he made the wealth, the next verse, the next verse says that, who being the brightness of his glory and the expressiveness of his person and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself perished and sin, sat down at the right hand of the majesty on her, shout hallelujah, so clearly you can see that he's talking about a certain human being, talking about a human being, in Acts chapter 8, the Ethiopian eunuch, he was reading, he was reading, verse 30,

[58:38] Philip asked him, do you understand what that read is, he said, how can I understand, except an anointed person, Babashadabahaya, explains it to me. And then he was reading from the place in Isaiah concerning Jesus.

[58:52] And the Bible says that he asks, who is this one talking about? So he said, human being. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. He opened up his mouth like a lamb.

[59:04] So he was talking about a human being. This Christ is a human being. Now, when we talk about the spirit, Romans chapter 8, verse 9, when we talk about the spirit of Christ, it's not just the Holy Ghost.

[59:23] Pastor, what do you mean? When we talk about the spirit of Christ, it says that if anyone does not have the spirit of Christ, you are none of his.

[59:35] Who is the Christ? When we talk about the Christ, now, when we mention the Christ, we are talking about the one who was eternal. The one who is as old as his father and older than his mother.

[59:52] The one who chose his date of birth. The one who existed before time. In the beginning was the... And the word was with...

[60:04] And the word was with... Watch this. So he doesn't only have eternality. He doesn't only have deity.

[60:15] The divine being who became human. As I keep saying, that baby boy in the manger, you are right to say Mary's baby boy.

[60:28] But he wasn't God's baby boy. He was God himself. Daddy himself was lying in the manger. Daddy himself was lying in the manger.

[60:41] A father in the manger. Can you imagine? Have you ever seen... maybe your dad's... pictures when he was a baby? Yeah. When you look at that picture...

[60:52] When you say, oh, that's a baby. No, that's your dad. That's my dad. In his baby state. Yeah. In his baby state. Yeah. But, that was not baby God.

[61:04] No, no, no. No, no. He wasn't baby God. He was God who has aristolized himself into humanity. So, the human beginnings of God was that boy in the manger.

[61:19] So, when we talk about Christ, you are talking about that one and only one who was God all by himself, who was not created. And the Bible says he's the firstborn of all creation.

[61:32] In other words, if you mention anything created, he stands above it. The preeminent one. Wow. So, Christ means the one who became a baby even though he has eternality.

[61:48] And even in his human state, he didn't lose his eternality. Wow. And he lived the human life to its fullest without sin. Wow.

[62:00] Yeah. He said in John chapter 8, verse 7, which of you accuses me of sin? The perfect one. That's why he said you have an anointing from the only one.

[62:11] He's the only holy one. He's the only holy one. And this holy one lived a human life.

[62:22] He was hungry like we were hungry. He was thirsty like we were thirsty. He slept like we slept. If you had seen him on the bus, you could have walked to him and said, hey, mate. Hey, mate.

[62:33] How you doing, mate? He was so human and yet very divine. Very divine. Working amongst us.

[62:44] And not just that. Bible says that let this mind be you. Philippians chapter 2. Who, being in the form of God, did not count it robbery to be equal with God, but he made himself, he humbled, oh, come on.

[62:58] He made himself of no reputation, taking the form of a born servant and coming in the likeness of men. Oh, he humbled himself and being found in the appearance of a man as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death on the cross.

[63:17] So, when we say Christ, we are talking about, watch this, I'm going somewhere. So, the one who has eternality and he became human and he lived full spectrum of human life, not a demi-human nature.

[63:35] That's why he was hungry. So, he also went to toilet. Yeah. He was thirsty. He weed. Yeah.

[63:46] Yeah. He cried. Baby, maybe little boy, don't cry. He grew up as a teenager.

[64:00] He lived the entire human and then, when he started his military, then the anointing came on him. He had power over nature. He had power over demons. He had power over sickness. He had power over death.

[64:14] It's the same person. He died. He resurrected from the dead and he sat on the throne of majesty. He's not different from the one who had eternality.

[64:28] He became human. He lived a human life. He was killed, buried, he resurrected, and he ascended and sat at the right hand of majesty.

[64:41] Now, watch this. It's the same one, Christ. Now, when we say the spirit of Christ is in you, it's a combination of whatever he has, the process he has been, and not just that, he's seated in majesty with power.

[65:05] So, in Acts chapter 2, Bible says in verse 32 and 33, that when he was ascended on high, and Jesus, this Jesus God has raised, of which we are witnesses.

[65:20] Now, look at verse 33. It's very interesting. Therefore, being exalted to where? The right hand of God. Exalted to the right hand, he sat in majesty. When he sat there, now, do you know what he did?

[65:32] He said, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured on us. So, now, this spirit that he has poured on us, he's pouring us the ascended Christ, the resurrected Christ, the crucified Christ, the incarnated Christ.

[65:54] So, he combines the incarnation, the human living, the crucifixion, the resurrection, the ascension, and the enthronement.

[66:05] Now, in his enthronement, he has poured himself as the anointed one onto us. That is why the New Testament oil is better than the Old Testament oil.

[66:24] Somebody shout, hallelujah. That is why he said, wait. He had to sit down first.

[66:38] The Holy Spirit could not come when he was here because he had to sit down as the ascended Christ, the enthroned Christ, the ruling Christ, and receive the spirit from the Father and now pour the spirit of Christ.

[66:53] that's why he said, on the last day of the feast, John chapter 7, verse 37, he said with a loud voice, if any man thirst, let him come to me and drink.

[67:08] For as the scriptures have said, whoever believes in me out of his belly shall flow. Read verse 39, verse 39. But this faith concerning the spirit, which whom those who believed in him will receive.

[67:23] Watch this. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given. Why? Because Jesus was not yet given. But after he was glorified, Peter said, he has received and he has poured the spirit upon us, which you see.

[67:39] Yes, Lord. Why did he pour the spirit on us? For us now to continue his work. Watch this. Watch this. As though we are the mini Christ and wanted ones.

[67:50] anointed. That's why I said greater works. In Acts chapter 16, verse 7.

[68:03] In Acts chapter 16, verse 7, they wanted to preach, but the spirit, do you see what? The spirit, watch this. Verse 7, they tried to go into Bethania, but the spirit did not give any Americans and all ESV.

[68:16] Verse 7. You see the spirit of Jesus. So King James, they didn't put it. For this, it calls it the spirit of Jesus. The spirit of Jesus.

[68:28] It's the same Holy Spirit. Don't be confused. The same Holy Spirit, but if the anointing has come on you, you will get what I'm trying to talk about. If you haven't gotten it, don't bother. It's the same as the Holy Spirit.

[68:38] Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you're not anointed, you won't get it. What? Are you getting what I'm talking about? They wanted to preach, but the spirit of Christ said, uh-uh, uh-uh, uh-uh.

[68:50] Philippians chapter 1, verse 19. Philippians chapter 1, verse 19. It says that, I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the spirit of Jesus Christ.

[69:05] That's talking about the real anointing. The anointing, when it comes on you, it turns out for your deliverance. Amen. Oh, my. One of the things anointing does is it destroys yokes.

[69:20] Isaiah 10, 27, it says that the yoke shall be broken because of the anointing. Addictions suffer under the power of anointing.

[69:33] Wow. Wow. I know. I like it. When anointing comes, addiction backs off. Yes. Yeah. Now that you know what the oil is, the oil is, the spirit of the Messiah.

[69:47] Amen. Now we say the spirit of the Messiah, the spirit of Christ, is all that Christ is. In his seated position is what is being given to us.

[70:01] Watch this, to carry out God's work on earth. Amen. So it's not to make you look nice. It's not to prove a point that you are intelligent.

[70:12] Forget it. God can still be using you and you are not, you won't change to look beautiful. Yeah. Paul, in the Bible, was a very short man.

[70:22] Yeah, yeah. God used him, he never grew tall. Yeah. So, the using of God, he said, henceforth,! As the oil, the anointing, the spirit of Christ that comes upon you.

[70:42] Yeah. That's what changes everything. There are people who have received the oil, but the oil is old. Because it's not flowing.

[70:56] The oil is supposed to be like a stream of water. He said in Revelation 22, I saw a throne, and I saw river proceeding out.

[71:08] It's not a lake. It's out of your belly shall flow in rivers. It's out of your belly. Not a lake. Not a standing water.

[71:20] So, it must flow to remain fresh. The freshness of the oil, the freshness of the oil is in the flow. But unfortunately, there are people who have received oil and they are leaking.

[71:36] So, when you leak, the oil stops flowing. It just flows out. But nothing is flowing in. Because the things that make us leak block the oil from flowing fresh.

[71:53] It has two approaches. So, like Adam obeyed the serpent, in his obeying the serpent, he disobeyed God.

[72:05] So, it's not one action. It's one action, but two implications. In the same way, anything that makes your oil leak blocks fresh oil from coming.

[72:19] Can I give you one or two things that make the oil leak? Number one thing that makes the oil leak or blocks the oil from flowing is ungodly compromises, unholy compromise.

[72:35] Unholy compromise is the things that doesn't help your work with God. Like what your boyfriend has been doing to you. You have come to church and you are still fooling.

[72:49] How can anointing be flowing? Please, I'm begging you. I'm not trying to tell you what you should do with your life. I'm just showing you what God can do with you if you can separate yourself from the oil.

[73:05] So, the choice is yours. You can have pleasures for a season or pleasures forevermore. So, point number one. Sorry, I didn't tell you the point properly.

[73:16] It's unholy indulgence. Point number two, compromises. Something was asked, don't cut your hair. He went to compromise with Delilah. Number three is pride.

[73:30] God doesn't use people who are proud. When God begins to put a spotlight on you and suddenly enters your head, I'm very powerful. I can sing. I can preach. Everybody likes me.

[73:41] And then, you take God's credit instead of humbling yourself and saying, this is God. And try and be ordinary and normal. Being ordinary and normal doesn't make you lose anointing.

[73:55] God knows you are human. Stop behaving like a superman. Yeah, that's for me. I'm very... No! That's how you lose anointing. You drain the oil when you do that.

[74:07] Pride! And then, the way you treat people, the way you talk to people, because now, you are sitting on the front seat after saying, hey, how are you? Look at you. You don't respect. You see, you see, a little promotion we gave you in church, it has entered your head.

[74:22] That's how you are losing anointing. Wow. You can lead prayer. When you come and stand here, they say, hey, hallelujah! Today, God told me, you are not TDJ, can we shut up?

[74:33] You are not. Pride. You are not. Pride. Pride. That's why, I always try, make sure I remind myself, and I, I just like being with people.

[74:45] Yeah. One of the things that help my anointing, I like being with people. Yeah. I like respecting people. Yeah. God doesn't lift anyone who claims to be looking up to God and look down on men.

[74:56] Wow. God, look down on anyone. Pride. Right. And then, let me just add this one. Worldliness. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. World materialism.

[75:08] Worldliness. What you wear is more important to you than who you are in Christ. How people see you is more important. That's why, you can't live in the secret place, but you have secrets for us.

[75:20] Yes. You don't live in the secret. See, that lives in the secret place of the most I shall abide. But you don't live in the secret place. You don't have time for God. All your focus is, you have this, how you can get more money.

[75:32] How, what is, what are they giving me? What, what physical, material benefits? Anybody who does the work of God with material benefits as motivation can never continue receiving oil.

[75:45] The oil will not flow. That's how many men of God and many anointed men of God lose the flow of the oil. So they are still there, but oil is still flowing because they are doing what they are doing on material considerations.

[76:00] They show you special treatment because of your money, because of your material, what they benefit from you, not what the work of God benefits from you. Don't treat people because of their status.

[76:13] Don't be nice to them because, be nice to everybody whether they have status or not. It will help keep the oil flowing. Amen. Thank you for listening to this message by David Entry.
