[0:00] Welcome, and thank you for joining this message by David Entry at Carish Church. In this season of Great Awakening, may God pour out His Spirit through His Word, refreshing! Your heart and awakening you to His will.

[0:13] We are reading today from the Gospel according to Mark chapter 16. I'll read from verse 1 to 15.

[0:24] And when the Sabbath was passed, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome had bought sweet spices that they might come and anoint Him. And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulcher at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll away the stone from the door of the sepulcher?

[0:53] And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away, for it was very great. And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment. And they were affrightened. And He said unto them, Be not afraid. Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified. He is risen. He is not here. Behold the place where they laid Him. And go your way, tell His disciples and Peter that He goeth before you into Galilee.

[1:32] There shall ye see Him, as He said unto you. And they went out quickly and fled from the sepulcher, for they trembled and were amazed. Neither said they anything to any man, for they were afraid.

[1:49] Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with Him as they mourned and wept.

[2:10] And they, when they had heard that He was alive and had been seen of her, believed not. After that He appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked and went into the country.

[2:27] And they went and told it unto the residue. Neither believed they them. Afterwards, He appeared unto the eleven, as they sat at meat, and abraded them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not. Them which had seen Him after He was risen.

[2:53] And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Here ends the reading of God's holy word. Father, we thank you for Resurrection Sunday.

[3:04] As we have gathered, we pray that let it not just be a celebration of a season, but let it be an unveiling of Christ, a revelation of the truths of the gospel.

[3:15] So we can become who you have ordained us to be. As your word is taught, bring comfort to the disturbed heart. As your word is taught, bring direction to the confused. As your word is taught, bring illumination to the seeking.

[3:30] As your word is taught, let the heavens open. And let us encounter Jesus in ways that we have never. Thank you. Take us into deeper chambers of yourself, which no man can navigate us into by the power of the Holy Spirit.

[3:44] We give you praise in Jesus' name. Amen. Hallelujah. Why do we celebrate Easter and Father Marta, the Resurrection?

[3:56] The Resurrection is the cornerstone of the Christian message. The Resurrection is not an opinion. I'm not talking about religion. I'm talking about a relationship with God.

[4:08] The bedrock, the foundation of our relationship with God is the Jesus who is God, who died and was buried and resurrected on the third day.

[4:20] The Resurrection is the cornerstone of the entirety of the Christian message. Why? Because if he had not resurrected, let's look at 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verse 1 to verse 4, and then the verse 14.

[4:36] It says that, Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preach unto you. All right. So he began to tell what the gospel actually is.

[4:46] He said, This is the gospel which I preach unto you, that moreover I declare unto you the gospel which I preach unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand.

[4:56] Verse 2. By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preach unto you, unless you have believed in vain.

[5:07] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received. How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.

[5:24] Verse 4. And the death was not the end. He was buried and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

[5:34] Now verse 14 says that, If Christ be not risen, then our preaching is useless. What was the point in preaching if Christ didn't rise?

[5:47] Anyone who tells you that all the importance of Christ is about his teaching. Listen, his teaching is bolder in the absence of the resurrection. His teachings don't mean anything to Christianity if he didn't resurrect.

[6:00] His living meant nothing if he had not resurrected. The miracles he did meant nothing to Christians if he had not resurrected. His death meant nothing if he had not resurrected.

[6:13] The gospel we preach is hinged on the resurrection. So the early church, they went everywhere testifying of the resurrection. No wonder Satan will do everything within his power and ability to oppose, resist, and fight the resurrection.

[6:30] The resurrection is not a hoax. The resurrection is a fact. One of the beautiful things about Christianity is, it's not afraid of thorough investigation.

[6:43] The message of Christianity is always apt for verification. So, you can take the Bible and even throw it away. We won't be upset. You can tear it and say, oh, this is rubbish.

[6:54] We won't be upset because you find yourself, you find out that you're wrong. We don't have to defend the message. The message can defend itself. Because the message is a fact.

[7:05] He says, it's a fact. If you drive with a lot of alcohol in your body, and the police stop you, they say, no, no, I've done nothing.

[7:16] There's nothing, I'm not drunk anything. Then they do the breath test. You know, the breath test will tell, the facts will tell whether there's alcohol in your system or not.

[7:29] So, the police don't have to, you're throwing it on to, no, I'm not drunk. He has, he's quiet. He has his breath test. If you are not drunk, let's do the breath test. The Bible, you can do any kind of test on the Bible.

[7:41] We are not afraid because there's nothing to hide. Why? Because it's built on data. Provable, credible data. Historic data. Unimpeachable, historic data. Much of the history of the Bible, it's even more authentic than secular history.

[7:57] Historians have to refer to certain history in the scripture to authenticate some facts of history. So, this is, much of the scripture is built, this is very important, much of the scripture is built on history.

[8:10] So, don't come with something new. It's not needed. It's already closed. 2,000 years ago, it's built on history. So, then if it's not in scripture, it's not necessarily Christian.

[8:23] So, the issue of the resurrection is a fact. Now, the text that we read, the opening text, Bible says that. Let's look at it again. And when the Sabbath was passed, Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of James, and Salome had brought sweet spices.

[8:42] This is interesting. These are real people and real names. Real people. And just for the skeptics. They mentioned their names and even added their sons.

[8:53] Some of them, their children's name. That's how far the scripture is going. And it's not the first time their names were mentioned. If you look at chapter 15, verse 40 and 41. Bible mentions this saying, women, they were there at the crucifixion.

[9:06] They were there. They were there. And there were also women looking on afar off. Among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, the less, and of Joseph, and Salome.

[9:19] They mentioned their children's name as well. Look at the next verse. Verse 41 says that. So these women in Mark chapter 16, verse 1, were there at the crucifixion.

[9:40] But not only the crucifixion. In Mark chapter 15, the last verse, they were also mentioned again at the burial. He said, and Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Joseph, beheld where they laid it.

[9:56] They were, did you see that? That's interesting. They were there at the crucifixion. They were there at the burial. And they were there at the resurrection. And these are credible people you can go and check.

[10:06] Because they are, they're witnesses. They saw his death. They saw his burial. And they saw the resurrection. So Bible says that they went to their tomb early in the morning, chapter 16 again.

[10:18] It says that, and when the Sabbath, oh, this is another way, another phrase. Let's all read the first sentence there. Or the, to the comma. Let's read it. And when the Sabbath was passed.

[10:28] Do you know that? That statement, it has double reference. It's referring both to a day and it's referring as well to an age. The age of Sabbath was finished.

[10:40] After the resurrection, you don't need Sabbath. Sabbath is passed. So when the Sabbath, and it meant physically the Sabbath day was ended. But it also meant so long as God's purpose and dealing was concerned, the time of the Sabbath is not over.

[10:57] That's why Christians don't have to worship on a Sabbath day. Why don't Christians worship on a Friday? Good Friday. No. Because the resurrection is what gives the meaning to everything.

[11:08] That's why Christians, the reason why the early church worshipped on Sunday, met on Sunday, the first day of the week, was to remember the resurrection. Because it's the resurrection that gives the meaning to everything.

[11:21] So in the text, you see, after the Sabbath, the first day of the week, that's the resurrection day. They went into the sepulcher. And early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came onto the sepulcher at the rising of the sun.

[11:34] And they said amongst them, who shall roll away the stone from the door of the sepulcher? They were wondering because the sepulcher was sealed. Do you know why it was sealed?

[11:46] It was sealed because according to Matthew chapter 27, the Pharisees went to Pilate and he said that this Jesus guy, when he was alive, said when he dies, he will resurrect.

[12:01] Say, we remember, while he was still alive, how that deceiver said, after three days, he will rise. So what? They said, therefore, command that the tomb be made secure until the third day.

[12:15] Not permanently. Just for three days. Until the third day, lest his disciples come by night. So they didn't say he will resurrect.

[12:27] His disciples will come and steal him away. And say to the people, he has risen from the dead. So the last deception will be worse. Did you see where they are going?

[12:39] No, no, no. No, no. Let's think about this. They said the resurrection will make matters worse. I said that to you some time ago, Larry King, who has interviewed who is who in the world.

[12:51] Larry King. One day he was interviewed. And he was asked, since you've interviewed almost everybody who is who in the world, who would you love to interview if you meet that person? Oh, he said, oh, Jesus of Nazareth.

[13:02] I would like to interview Jesus. And he said, they asked him. So if you meet Jesus, what would you ask him? What's one big question you ask him? He said, I would ask him, the virgin birth, is it true?

[13:14] He said, but why would you ask if the virgin birth is true? Larry King said, if the virgin birth is true, that changes everything. If that statement is true. But he said, what he didn't know is the resurrection is even weightier than the virgin birth.

[13:28] If the resurrection is true, it changes everything. And so the skeptics of Jesus Christ were so afraid of the resurrection.

[13:39] They said, secure the tomb. Remember what they said. Secure the tomb so his disciples cannot go and steal him. And so Pontius Pilate gave soldiers.

[13:50] Pontius Pilate said, you have a guard. Go your way. Make it as secure as you know how. Secure it to the highest maximum level.

[14:01] Because they said, no, this guy won't come out. We are blocking. It's like a car coming, a trailer coming. He's standing away. He said, no, you move. You are pushing the trailer. You can't stop it. But they tried to stop the resurrection.

[14:14] And you know, some people say the resurrection is not real. It's a hoax. And they give a few reasons. They said the resurrection is not true because the disciples, they were having a hallucination.

[14:25] So they thought he was resurrected. It's interesting that so many people can have hallucination at the same time.

[14:37] Now, what you don't want to believe, you can come up with preposterous ideologies. Preposterous ideologies when your heart is set in a negative direction. You can be selling your house.

[14:51] But because you are deluded, you think, no, no, I can sell it and get it tomorrow back. So the resurrection, they went to the tomb. They said, who would roll away the stone?

[15:03] What they didn't know is that that stone, that they didn't actually know soldiers were not there. They didn't know. Because they got there to realize the stone was rolled away already.

[15:16] The stone was rolled away. And they look inside. And they say, someone has stolen the body. Even the Pharisees believed more in what Jesus said than his disciples. His disciples didn't expect him to rise.

[15:29] So when Peter Dems were told, they said, no, no, it can't be true. People who have seen him, they said, no, my friend, forget it. Is there a text we've just read? Now, let me just give you the three major evidence of the resurrection.

[15:43] When people say, no, no, there's no evidence. There's no other resurrection. I told you Christianity is built on data and fact. Number one evidence of the resurrection is the empty tomb. Listen, one mystery about the resurrection is that the disciples cannot prove his living body.

[16:02] And the skeptics cannot also prove his dead body. The disciples cannot produce his living body to the people who don't believe.

[16:13] And yet the skeptics cannot also produce the dead body. Where is the dead body then? If he didn't resurrect, where is the dead body? And the Bible, interestingly, watch this, never gave us, even though he gave us an understanding of the resurrection.

[16:30] Matthew recalls the resurrection. Mark recalls the resurrection. Luke recalls the resurrection. And John recalls the resurrection. Not all the four gospels, as I said the other time, mentions the birth.

[16:43] But all the four gospels talk about the death, the burial, and the resurrection. All right. So the resurrection is so important. It's loaded with significance.

[16:55] And the fact of the resurrection is what we have to look into. So, as I said, the scripture itself, watch this, the Bible never gave details of the resurrection.

[17:08] The act itself. How did he resurrect? Did he resurrect on his left side? Did he slide out? If you're a movie maker, that's what you focus on. The Bible never gave us the act of the resurrection.

[17:23] The event of him rising from the Bible never. All the Bible gave us was the tomb is empty. So, number one, fact of the resurrection is the empty tomb.

[17:35] The tomb is empty. So, when we say the tomb is empty, it's very significant. So, the tomb is empty. The grave is empty. And the evidence of the grave being empty is that they went in and they saw the grave clothes.

[17:50] See, they wrapped him with grave clothes. And he came out and the grave clothes were all folded nicely. And then I feel when he resurrected, he went to some shop or one way or the other. But when they saw him, he wasn't naked.

[18:02] That means he's going somewhere to get something to wear. I don't know how he did it. The Bible didn't give us the details. But they wrapped him in the grave clothes. He left the grave clothes there.

[18:13] So, when he came, what was he wearing? Glorified body. So, the grave clothes is a proof to the empty tomb. The women, the women who went to the burial site, they were there when he was buried.

[18:28] They went there after the Sabbath and they realized he's not there. They will not fake it. So, what the women said. The women were an evidence that they saw the empty tomb.

[18:40] The women saw the empty tomb, not only them, their soldiers. According to Matthew, the soldiers, there was an earthquake. They were like dead bodies. They woke up and they realized that the tomb is empty.

[18:53] So, they went and told the Sahindri. They told them. And the guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men. And then they went and told the Pharisees that, guys, guys, there's a problem.

[19:04] Guys, guys, there's a problem. Their tomb is empty. Their tomb is empty. What are we going to do? So, it says that, and now, while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city and reported to the chief priest all the things that have happened.

[19:22] Look at what happened. And when they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave last sum of money to the soldiers, saying, Say this lie, that his disciples came at night and stole him away whilst the guards were sleeping.

[19:37] The bodyguards. They were there just to watch and stay awake. So, just, we'll give you money. Just say you slept on the job. And that means that professional malpractice.

[19:50] Pilate will have to deal with you. We will sort him out. We will go politically and talk to Pilate, the governor, and we will appease him and he will go free. But we want you to say the lie that the disciples stole him.

[20:03] And after 16 years later, when the gospel of Matthew was being written, Matthew said, up to this day, the Jews believe that his disciples stole him. Yeah.

[20:14] That's how well the campaign went. It went very well. They hired some journalists. So, the facts about the empty tomb. Number one fact is the grave clothes were there.

[20:25] You can see the tomb is empty. Number two facts about the tomb empty, the women went and saw. Number three facts about the tomb being empty, the soldiers went to report that the tomb is empty. Number four facts about the empty tomb is that Peter and John, they also went, they looked in, the tomb was empty.

[20:40] And then number five facts is that the Sahindran paid money for the people to go and lie. So, the tomb was empty. Now, the second fact about the resurrection.

[20:52] So, the first fact was empty tomb. Does that make sense? Yes. I'm giving you three facts about the resurrection. The first fact is the empty tomb. All right.

[21:02] What's the first fact? Empty tomb. All right. And the pointers to show that the tomb was empty is the women, the grave clothes, the women, the soldiers, Peter and John, the Sahindran.

[21:16] Those points show that the tomb was empty. Now, the second fact for the resurrection is the heavenly angels. Angels appeared.

[21:28] You heard the Bible reading. The two angels said, why are you looking for the living amongst the dead? The angels actually came from heaven.

[21:38] And it's not only one angel. The two. To Bartraeus, Exodus chapter 19, verse 15, or 15, 19. That in the mouth of two or three witnesses, a matter must be established.

[21:51] So, two angels came and told them. I like the Luke account. I think verse 4. Luke chapter 24, verse 4.

[22:02] And it happened. As they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men. That's, they saw a man, but they were angels. Another kind of hotel. Two men stood by them in shining garments.

[22:13] And look at what the men said. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said, why do you seek the living amongst the dead? Jesus is alive.

[22:24] You can't find him in the graveyard. Why do you seek the living amongst the dead? Look at the next bed. He is not here. He is risen.

[22:36] Hallelujah! He is not here. The angels witnessed to them and told them, listen, the guy you are looking for is not here.

[22:49] You are looking for him at the wrong place. Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee. Remember what he told you? That on the third day he will rise. You forgot? Why are you coming to look for him here?

[23:00] You didn't even believe him. You didn't expect him to rise. He is not here. He is not here. Tell somebody he is not in the tomb. He is risen. In Acts chapter 2, verse 24, he said, but it was not possible that the grave should hold him.

[23:17] The grave cannot hold Jesus. It was not possible that the grave should hold him. Because it was not possible that it should be held by the grave. Hallelujah! So, the second evidence to the resurrection is the angels' report.

[23:31] The heavenly angels. The heavenly angels. They came and said, look inside. It's not there. It's not there. And then the third evidence of the resurrection is the eyewitness account.

[23:45] I mean, that is a serious one. The eyewitnesses account. Let's look at the text we read again. There's something I want to draw your attention to. Verse 6.

[23:57] It says that, verse 6 says that, I'm talking about Mark chapter 16. And he said unto them, be not affrightened. You see Jesus of Nazareth which was crucified. He is risen. He is not here. Behold the place where he laid.

[24:08] I like that. That's fact. Some time ago, I said I was going to preach on the signs of Christianity. The angels said, come and see. Test it. It's there.

[24:19] It's there. It's not like they were hallucinating. It's not like they had a vision. They didn't have a vision. Angels said, come and look. Okay, I'm an angel. But you come and look.

[24:30] He said, behold the place where he laid. He said, look inside so you can see for yourself. So, the angels said to them, don't be afraid. He's risen. He's not here. Behold the place where he laid.

[24:42] The next verse. But go your way. Tell his disciples and Peter. Why and Peter? Because of the way Peter denied him. Peter was making a lot of. He was making big mouth.

[24:55] On the last supper. He said, if everybody denies for me, I will never forsake him. I will never forsake him. He said, so tell his disciples and Peter. Just, I have not forgotten about Peter.

[25:05] In spite of. He didn't even wait for the cock to grow. Cockerel. He just denied. He said, before the cockerel will grow. He will be.

[25:17] So, hallelujah. Then he says that. But go your way. Tell his disciples and Peter that he goes before you into Galilee. There you shall see him as he said unto you.

[25:30] You will see him. So, he said, look there. He's not there. Tell the disciples and go to Galilee. You will see him. As he is. You will just see him as he is. Not whilst he was dead in the grave.

[25:40] You will see him and live in Jesus. That's very important. And then, look at the next verse. I want to draw attention to. And they went out quickly and fled from the sepulcher. For they trembled and were amazed.

[25:52] Neither said they anything to any man. For they were afraid. They didn't say anything to anybody. They just leapt straight to the disciples. They didn't talk to anybody on their own. Now, look at the next verse. Now, when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week.

[26:07] He appeared first to Mary Magdalene. Out of whom he had cast out seven devils. So, you see, it doesn't matter your past. Your past is not a sign of where God is taking you.

[26:22] I'm prophesying to somebody. Your future shall be better than your past. He appeared first to Mary Magdalene. The one who he had cast devils out of.

[26:34] Seven devils. She's a changed woman. He said, you will see me. In the resurrected state. And then, look at the next verse. I want to show you some. She went and told those who had been with him.

[26:46] As they moaned and were. They were still crying. Oh, Jesus. She went and told them. And what happened? And when they heard that he was alive. And had been seen by her.

[26:58] They did not believe. One of the greatest. Listen to this. One of the most crucial evidence. Of the reality of the resurrection.

[27:09] Is the unbelief of the disciples. Because they didn't believe it. They didn't expect it. So, even when they were told. That the grave is empty.

[27:20] And I have seen him. They said, no, no. We can't believe this. The unbelief of the disciples. Was a crucial evidence. Of the reality of the resurrection.

[27:33] The resurrection was so real. That eventually. They had to die. For the witness of the resurrection. And so. You can tell. Now. Those who object to the resurrection.

[27:44] They say. That it's a hallucination. If it's not a hallucination. They also say. The women probably went to the wrong tomb. The wrong address.

[27:56] They went to look for Jesus. At the wrong address. Because they were so broken. They were so depressed. They went to somebody else's tomb. Their tomb. There was nobody there. And they thought it was Jesus. That's why the Bible says that. They saw him die.

[28:08] They saw him buried. And they went back. After the Passover. They went back to where. He was buried. After the Sabbath. They went to. You can't say these grown up women.

[28:19] And Peter and John. They all went to the wrong tomb. See when you are trying to. Disbelieve. You come out with all kinds of. Propostrous. Ideas. And. Number three.

[28:29] They believe that. The wrong beliefs. So one. Is that. It's hallucination. If the disciples. The witnesses are saying that. He's alive. Maybe. What do you do about the witnesses? Oh don't worry.

[28:40] We explain. Our explanation for. The witnesses. Because Jesus. They believe Jesus is not alive. The explanation is. It was hallucination. So many people had hallucination at the same time. The same hallucination.

[28:51] They say okay. They went to the wrong tomb. Or. The third point. They say. Is that. The body was stolen. Jesus' body was stolen. By who? They said it. It either was stolen by.

[29:02] Tomb robbers. You know. Those days. People go to the tomb. Grave looters. People. Who go to the grave. Side. And so. They say. I thought. The body was stolen.

[29:13] By grave looters. Or. I mean. That's not possible. What would they get. In stealing Jesus' body? He died of nothing. No. They stripped everything. He didn't have anything. So why would someone. Go and steal the dead body. Of Jesus.

[29:23] For what? Risk your life. Soldiers were there. Trained soldiers. Guarding their body. Risk it. And get the soldiers. To sleep. And go and steal it. No. Please. And.

[29:33] And. He also says. Either grave robbers. Or. The disciples themselves. Went to steal. The guys were not even. Expecting the resurrection. The guys.

[29:44] Were all afraid. They were afraid. And they've locked themselves. In the room. Per adventure. The authorities. Come after them too. They were all afraid. Why would they go. To the place. Where is. Heavily guarded.

[29:54] At that moment. And go and steal their body. They were not that strong. To be able to. Overpower Roman soldiers. To steal the body. Or. Another lie. About the missing body.

[30:05] Is that. The Roman soldiers. Stole it. The Roman soldiers. They connived. And stole it. You see. So. These are. All kinds of. Lies. People try to give. To silence.

[30:16] The resurrection. Based on witnesses. Because we have witnesses. So if the witnesses said. We saw him. Or the tomb is empty. We have to explain it away. Are you getting what I'm saying? So that's.

[30:27] Some of the facts. That. The objections. To the eyewitnesses. But the eyewitnesses. Is not only the women he appeared to. He appeared. To different. Sets of people. About 11 times.

[30:39] He appeared. To Mary Magdalene. He appeared. To the other women. He appeared. To the two disciples. On the road to Emmaus. He appeared. To Peter. Bible says that. In 1st Corinthians.

[30:49] Chapter 15. He appeared. To Peter. He appeared. To John. Okay. He also appeared. To the 10. Without Thomas. John chapter. Remember.

[31:00] 20. He appeared. When they were in the room locked. He appeared to them. Without Thomas. Then he appeared. The following week. With Thomas. And then he appeared. When some of the disciples.

[31:11] Decided to go back fishing. At the shores. In John chapter. 21. He appeared to them. At the shore. And Bible says that. About 500 people. People saw him at once.

[31:22] At the Mount of Galilee. In 1st Corinthians. Chapter 15. 500 people saw him at once. He appeared to 500. This cannot be all hallucinations. He appeared to the apostles.

[31:33] According to Acts chapter 1. For over 40 days. He was with them. For over 40 days. How can that be? Hallucination for 40 days. All the apostles. And then finally.

[31:45] He appeared to them. Before he ascended to heaven. So they saw him. Physically. Going to heaven. The eyewitnesses. So. The three. Main evidence.

[31:56] For the resurrection. It's number one. The empty tomb. Number two. The angelic. Witnesses. Or testimony. And then number three. The eyewitnesses. But if the resurrection is true.

[32:08] What's the implication? Not just the application. The implication. If Jesus really resurrected. The implication. Is that. Everything he lived for. His teachings.

[32:19] His prophecies. His miracles. His dying. It all. It has meaning. Without the resurrection. It doesn't have meaning. So without the resurrection.

[32:30] Those who say. Oh it's just about the teaching of God. Jesus. It's about the love of Jesus. It's about. No, no. Without the resurrection. All that Jesus came to do. When he was alive. It's all. Meaningless.

[32:41] Number two. The implication of the resurrection. Is that. He died on the cross. As a sacrifice. For sin. That means that. If he resurrected. That means God has accepted the sacrifice.

[32:52] It meant. His death. On the cross. The purpose. For him coming to the cross. Has. Been fulfilled. That's why he had to. Rise again. He said he's going to rise anyway.

[33:04] That's why he had to rise again. Number three. Is a very potent one. The. Life. Of God. Is now. Possible. In human beings. The life of God.

[33:15] Bible says in the book of. First Peter chapter one. Verse three. Blessed be the God. Let's all read here from the screen. Sometimes nice for us to read scripture together. Is that okay? All right. Let's go.

[33:26] Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who according to his abundant message. Have begotten us again. To a living hope. Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

[33:38] From the. Hallelujah. How did he beget us? How were we born again? He has begotten us to a living hope. Through. The resurrection of Jesus Christ.

[33:50] If I am born again. It's because Jesus resurrected. Hallelujah. If I have the life of God. It's because Jesus resurrected. That is the only reason why. I am a man of faith.

[34:02] That's the only reason why. I can believe. That's the only reason why. I live for Jesus. And that's the only reason why. I'm the child of God. That's the only reason why. I have the life of God in me.

[34:14] Hallelujah. I have the life of God in me. Because 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 45. Bible says the first Adam. Was made a living soul. Who is the last Adam? Jesus. He became a life giving spirit.

[34:27] He gave life. So that when he resurrected. He breathed unto them. And he said receive. The spirit. After resurrection. He became a life giving spirit. Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ.

[34:38] Because of his resurrection. I have the life of God. He makes you the believer. He puts you in a higher pedestal over Moses.

[34:51] Moses never experienced the life of God in him. Life. Zoe. It's called Zoe. The real life of God. Moses in his time was not really a child of God.

[35:07] He was a servant of God. He was a prophet of God. But once Jesus came and died. What is even interesting. Is in the book of John. Chapter 20 verse 17.

[35:20] He said to the women. Jesus said don't cling to me. For I have not yet ascended to my father. But go to my. Go to my brethren.

[35:32] Give us NIV. Go to my brothers. That's the first time he called them brothers. Brothers. Brothers means we share the same father. We are family.

[35:44] For the first time. After resurrection. He addressed his disciples. As my brothers. My brothers. My brothers. How? Because he has given birth to us again.

[35:54] Unto a living hope. By the resurrection. Of Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Because of the resurrection.

[36:06] I can say I'm born again. John 1.13. Born. Not of blood. Nor of the will of the flesh. Nor of the will of man.

[36:18] But. We are born again. Because we have the life of God in us. And without the resurrection.

[36:30] The life of God couldn't come into any human being. I guess you understand why. Because of sin. Sin hasn't been dealt with. Holy God.

[36:41] His life could not inhabit man. But I told you something yesterday. Which was very profound. The reason for creation. God created us to be his habitation. So God's eternal purpose.

[36:53] Was to live inside man. Then sin came. Sin checked in. So sin was in man. And God couldn't come and share with sin. Because God is holy. Not just the sins of man.

[37:06] But the sin in man. So that when sin in man. Is dealt with by the blood of Jesus. Now God himself can enter. Oh my gosh.

[37:16] Shut up. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Quickly. Number three. So we can have the life of God. Number four. The implication of the resurrection is that.

[37:28] It's only in Christianity. No other religion promises physical resurrection. The resurrection of the body. Physical resurrection.

[37:39] To be like this. No other religion. And actually. There's no religion in the world. Whose followers go to the site. Of the burial site.

[37:49] Of their leader. Because it's empty. You go to Israel today. You see the site. The tomb is empty.

[38:00] People go there. For tourism. Or pilgrimage. Major. So. Because of the resurrection. We. Also. Because this is how Paul puts his first Corinthians chapter.

[38:11] Fifteen. He said. If the dead do not rise. Let's look at it again. First Corinthians chapter fifteen. Let's take it from verse fifteen. There's something interesting. We are going to seventeen. But let's take it from verse fifteen.

[38:22] First Corinthians. Yes. And we have found false witnesses of God. Because we testify of God. That he raised up Christ. Who he did not raise up. If in fact. The dead do not rise.

[38:33] So. The point here is. It's saying that. If we are saying Christ is alive. And Christ was not raised. If the dead doesn't rise. That means Christ cannot be raised. And if Christ is not raised.

[38:44] Then we are liars. Right. Now look at the next verse. For if the dead do not rise. Then Christ is not raised. Look at the next verse. And if Christ is not raised.

[38:56] Your faith is futile. You are still in your sins. The next verse. Then. Also. Those who have died. That's what it means. In Christ have perished.

[39:07] Because that means once you die. You are believing in Jesus and die. That's the end. But those of us who believe in Christ. Death is not the end. Because.

[39:18] We shall resurrect. If the dead. Can be raised. Then we. Just as Christ was raised. We shall also be raised physically. That's a Christian doctrine.

[39:29] The bodily resurrection. It's not like. Just your spirit will rise. No, no, no, no, no, no. When you die. Your spirit goes to paradise. Or your spirit goes to be with the Lord. Then later on.

[39:40] At the second coming. Those who are dead in Christ. They will rise. The graves shall open. They will rise up. Okay. How about those who are cremated? I know you.

[39:52] I know you. They will rise. They will still rise. In fact. Okay. Can I answer you? From the scripture. First Corinthians chapter 15. Verse 35.

[40:03] Good. But some of y'all. Will say. How are the dead raised? And with what body do they come? If their body has decomposed. I didn't say it.

[40:15] Okay. I didn't say it. A decomposed body. Is not a blockage for the resurrection. Because when you plant a seed. It decomposes.

[40:26] It gets from. But it comes with the. So he said. We'll be given a glorified. It's not like you see spirits. No. In resurrection. If your mother is born again. Your late mom. You will see.

[40:37] You will see everybody. You will see them. Because we shall resurrect. And. For your information. Let me just veer into the resurrection of the dead. We are not going to resurrect.

[40:47] When you see. Your great grandmother. Assuming she was born again. When you see her. You know she died at the age of 92. How will she appear? Very fresh. No. No. No. No. No. Very fresh.

[40:58] In her prime. You will see her in her prime. Everything. Her teeth. All the teeth are there. All the hair is flowing. You will see me with all my hair. Hallelujah.

[41:10] So. The bodily resurrection. My time. The bodily resurrection. Okay. Because he was raised. We will also rise.

[41:21] That's the implication. And then number five. Is. Because. He rose. There's going to be judgment. In Acts chapter 17.

[41:32] Verse 30 and 31. Bible says that in the time past. 30. In the times of ignorance. God overlooked. It's like God wings. God said okay.

[41:42] That's okay. No problem. But now. Commands all men everywhere to repent. Why? Look at this. Because. He has appointed a day. On which. He will judge. The world.

[41:53] In righteousness. By the man. Whom he has ordained. That's okay. On Jesus Christ. He has given assurance. Of this. To all. By raising him.

[42:04] From the dead. So raising him. From the dead. He said listen. I'm raising this. Jesus from the dead. To make a statement. That I will judge. The living and the dead. All right. And then finally. The final point.

[42:14] Which is very important. The implication of the resurrection. Is. This is good. Our victorious living. The believers victorious living. The believers victorious living.

[42:28] So it's not only when we die and go. Even on this earth. We live victoriously. As believers. As believers. Romans chapter 8 verse 11. That's the stress test.

[42:41] Of how far God can go. I have a serious problem. Jesus resurrected. Pastor. Thank you. But what I'm going to. I can't even pay my rent. This. Cost. Of living.

[42:53] Crisis. Now I can't even get diesel to buy. I don't know how I'm going to do. I'm a delivery driver. I do my own business. Now. Pastor. I'm stressed. I'm losing. Listen.

[43:04] What has this resurrection got to do with me? This resurrection has implication. Because. If God. Was able to raise the debt. That's the hardest thing.

[43:15] Yeah. So. Every time. They manufacture. Something. When they manufacture a car.

[43:27] They manufacture. I told you some time ago. I went to Ikea. And I saw this mattress. They are selling it. But it's very. Solid. And they guarantee. Whatever it is. But just for you to know.

[43:38] They have devised this system. A demo one. And they have. Some. They've done machine. That presses it. Presses it constantly. And it stays. Still firm.

[43:49] Still firm. They keep pressing it. So. As we go around shopping. You see. Every day. It's pressing. You go to Ikea. You see. You see something like that. Pressing it. So. To show you.

[43:59] That doesn't matter how many times you sleep on this thing. It will still look firm. They are putting it through. Stress test. To tell you. How much stress. It can stick.

[44:10] And still. Survive. The stress test of God. To let you know. How far. God can go in helping you. Is the resurrection. You understand it.

[44:23] He said. But if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. You don't have a problem. Perfect. Then.

[44:33] He said that. He who raised Christ from the dead. Will also give. Life to your. Mortal body. Through the spirit. If he raised Christ.

[44:44] Then you don't have a problem. Your physical living. Is sorted. Your physical life. Is secure. Share. Hallelujah. Stop worrying.

[44:54] As though there is no God. When we walk with the Lord. In the light of his word. What a glory he shares on our way. While we do his good will.

[45:05] He abides with us still. And with all who trust. And obey. Trust. And obey. For there is no other way. To be happy in Jesus. But to trust. And obey.

[45:16] Trust and obey. For there is no other way. Fear not. Fear not. If Jesus was raised from the dead. You don't got problem. You don't got a problem. The tomb is empty.

[45:27] It shows you that. Whatever tomb the devil tries to put your money. Your financial. Your family life. Your marriage in. Your health in. Whatever tomb the devil tries to put you in. You are coming out.

[45:37] That tomb is going to be empty. You are coming out. You are coming out. I prophesy to you. Because of the resurrection. You shall rejoice. You shall have the victory. You shall.

[45:48] I don't know who I'm talking to. But this morning. I came with the prophetic word. You shall have your own child. You shall not remain buried. You shall be married. Your health is secure. Your health is covered.

[46:00] Your health is covered. Your future is covered. Because of the resurrection. If you believe it. Shall I believe? Shall I believe? The songwriter said.

[46:10] God sent his son. His name is Jesus. He bled and died. To take away our sins. The songwriter said. Because he lives. I can face tomorrow. Because he lives.

[46:21] All fear is gone. And now I know. He holds the future. And life is worth a living. Just because he lives. Life is worth a living. Just because he lives.

[46:32] Well. I don't care. I don't know who I'm talking to. But I came to announce you. Don't be afraid. Because he lives. You can face tomorrow. Because he lives. Don't be afraid. Because he lives.

[46:43] All fear should be gone. Because he lives. He will take care of you. Someone said. I don't know. What the future holds. But I know. Him who holds the future. Hallelujah.

[46:54] Because he lives. Because he lives. Because he lives. The resurrection. The living Jesus. Is a proof.

[47:05] That your future is safe. Don't be afraid. Of what is going on. Around the world. Don't be afraid. Of what is going on. Around your life. Don't be afraid. Of the medical report.

[47:16] Don't fear. Fear not. Pastor. Why should I fear? Because the empty tomb. Is a sign. That God will take care of you. God will not leave you alone. God will not leave you alone.

[47:28] God will not leave you there. God will not leave you alone. Your enemies. Will not have the final life. Your enemies. Will not have the final life. Your enemies. Will not have the final life.

[47:38] Because of the resurrection. There is hope. For your future. Because of the resurrection. There is hope. For your future. Because of the resurrection. Oh Lord, we thank you.

[47:55] We thank you. We thank you that you live. Because you live, we will live. We are not afraid. Because you live, we thank you.
