Earthly measure may he call me,odore I will be like Jesus.

Nothing worldly shall enthrall me, I will be like Jesus.

Be like Jesus is my song, In the hope and in the cross.

Be like Jesus all beyond, I will be like Jesus.

He hath broken every better, I will be like Jesus.

As my soul is earth in virtue, I will be like Jesus.

Be like Jesus is my song, In the hope and in the cross.

Be like Jesus all beyond, I will be like Jesus.

All the way from earth to glory, I will be like Jesus.

Telling o'er and o'er the story, I will be like Jesus.

I will be like Jesus. I will be like Jesus. He like Jesus is my song, He is my song, He is my song, In the hope and in the cross.

He is my song, In the hope and in the cross. With our Jesus all day long. With our Jesus all day long.

I will be like Jesus. I will be like Jesus.

I will be like Jesus. I will be like Jesus.

Jesus all day long. At times the day seems long.

Our trials are to bear. We're tempted to complain. To murmur and despair.

But Christ will soon appear to catch his pride away. Our tears forever over in God's eternal day.

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus.

Life trials where things are small when we see Christ. One glimpse of his deface, all sorrows will erase.

So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Sometimes the sky looks dark with not a ray of light.

We're tossed and driven on, no human help in sight. But there is one in heaven who knows our deepest care.

Let Jesus solve your problem. Just go to him in prayer. It will be worth it all when we see Jesus.

Life trials where things are small when we see Christ. One glimpse of his deface, all sorrow will erase.

So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

We're in the fifth chapter of Ephesians.

And for three weeks we have been introducing the subject of understanding what the will of the Lord is. Tonight we actually begin the main body of the study itself.

And I'm aware that because you are good listeners that when I start to review, sometimes you don't listen. But I'm going to assume you haven't listened and continue to review.

If you are looking in chapter 5 of Ephesians, you begin to look in verse 15. For the fifth time, and I would remind you tonight, I'm not interested in entertaining you.

I'm not interested in any cheap comments. I'm not interested in any facetious remarks. We are dealing with the word of God. For many, many months and almost a year, having had a number of weddings in the church and out of the church, I have been convicted that when you deal lightly with the subject of marriage, husband, wife, children, fathers, and mothers, you are off base with the word of God in regards to Jesus Christ.

Destroy the biblical teaching and position, especially of husband and wife, and you destroy the teaching about Jesus Christ. I am not trying to instruct unbelievers tonight.

I'm endeavoring to take believers through the word of God for the subject of how to walk accurately. In verse 15, for the fifth time, Paul uses the word walk.

Take heed, therefore, how accurately, or the word might be diligently, or as in your translation, circumspectly ye walk. Believers maturing in the Lord Jesus Christ are expected to walk accurately.

There are no excuses. From this point on, in the fifth chapter, to chapter 6, verse 10, he is dealing with an accurate walk.

I'd remind you that he says to us, an accurate walk is not going to be like those who are unwise. I personally believe that he is saying that an accurate walk of a believer is not going to be according to the instruction of worldly wisdom or worldly thinking.

nor can it be amalgamated or infiltrated with worldly thinking. How could an accurate walk described by Christ be changed no matter what happens in the world?

For that accurate walk, he reminds us that time in which we live and opportunities which we have are important. Redeeming the time means buying up the time lest it be your last opportunity.

And it has nothing to do with the gospel. It has nothing to do first and foremost with your testimony for Jesus Christ. It has to do with your everyday conduct as a believer based on your position in humanity.

having told us that we are to walk accurately and we're to redeem or buy up the time, he has said to us we are unto understand what the will of the Lord is.

That's the subject of our study. Everyone who claims to be born again is to be given the opportunity to know what the will of God is in regards to his position in the world.

Not in regards to his calling. Not in regards to his everyday work whether it be secular or Christian. Now from that we come to verse 18.

The will of God for every believer who is walking accurately is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. There is no choice.

An accurate walk which means you understand what the will of the Lord is. First and foremost the will of the Lord for every believer including boys and girls is to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

No choice. Now having told us that the accurate walk and the will of God is for every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit he reviews for us the results by which you can know whether you are filled with the Holy Spirit.

and I review them quickly. First of all is helpfulness happiness and thanksgiving. That's what he says in verse 19 and in verse 20.

Why is it so essential for a believer man, woman, boy and girl to be filled with the Holy Spirit? Because without the filling of the Holy Spirit you are not in the will of God and you are not going to walk accurately.

and being filled with the Holy Spirit is not an emotion or a manifestation. There are results by which you can govern yourself to know whether you are walking accurately in the will of God and filled with the Holy Spirit.

What of them is? Happiness. Speaking yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs singing, making melody in your heart to the Lord speaking to one another. In other words you are a helpful person to other believers. Then he says giving thanks always for all things unto God and I think it's very very important that you understand he doesn't say for good things.

It is important that you understand that's part of the result for you will never go to the breakdown which follows if you don't do that because you are going to give me the world's excuses every time. So thankfulness is a proof of the filling of the Holy Spirit which you know is the will of God if you are going to walk accurately.

Now all of us are ready to accept those three results of the Holy Spirit but I wonder if we are ready to accept the fourth which we said last Sunday night. In verse 21 he gives us for the moment the last result of the filling of the Holy Spirit.

Submitting yourself one to another in the fear of God. Now let me stop. The subject is now submission. Submission. In order to be filled with the Holy Spirit you'll have to be submissive and a proof that you are filled with the Holy Spirit is that you are submissive.

That's why the will of God filling of the Holy Spirit is so important in your life. Now last week we went through this very slowly and I will remind you of something. As we continue to read and study from verse 22 on through chapter 6 verse 9 Christ is always referred to.

And so you see what are the prerequisites of being submissive? Number one filling of the Holy Spirit. Number two biblical love. We found that last week in Galatians 5.13.

Number three biblical humility and number four the example of Christ. And we went through the gospels and showed you that Christ never did his own will.

He always submitted to the will of the Father. So the subject is submission. God is a God of order.

And God is a God which says in this verse submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of the Lord. Not necessarily in trembling but on the basis of respect for what he is teaching and expects you to obey.

Now somebody says to me Pastor I don't know if I'm filled with the Holy Spirit while you're practicing submission. Well Pastor what submission? Well now he's going to break it down.

He's going to break it down in six categories. He's going to talk about wifely submission. He's going to talk about husband submission. He's going to talk about children's submission.

He's going to talk about father submission. He's going to talk about employee submission. He's going to talk about employer submission. Will you look at it with me?

I am not sure and finally remember now he has showed you the results of the filling of the Holy Spirit right? Happiness, helpfulness, thanksgiving, submission. submission. Now whether he has put them in the order of progression, I am not going to be hard-nosed.

All ladies would like to have them put at the end instead of number one. I don't know why he started the breakdown of submission. If he had not broken it down except for the general statement submit yourself one to another in the fear of the Lord, we wouldn't have known what he was talking about.

what is the will of God for a believing wife filled with the Holy Spirit? That's exactly what he's answering.

And no believing wife, now for the moment I'm not talking about unbelievers, don't take it out of context. No believing wife can ever be filled with the Holy Spirit unless she's submissive to her husband.

Because that is part of the result of the filling. Now I know what you're going to say to me, but, now wait a minute, there are no buts. Now we've got all the philosophy of the world, and we've got all these good writings which we've tried to put together when we've got simplicity right before us.

The will of God, that's what he said back, rightly, in order to have an accurate walk as a Christian, I have to understand the will of God for my life. My dear Christian woman, the will of God for your life is to submit to your own husband.

And it is a proof of the filling of the Holy Spirit which is the will of God for every believer. And I will remind you, husbands, that in your order of submission it is unto Christ.

See, the wife always says to me, well the husband doesn't have to do anything. He doesn't. I would remind you, the greatest number of verses was written to the husband in this paragraph.

And the key to every marriage is a husband. A believing boy and girl who does not obey his parents, chapter 6, verse 1, is not filled with the Holy Spirit and is not in the will of God.

And a believing boy or girl who wants to walk according to the word of God must be filled with the Holy Spirit and he submits to his parents. That's proof of the filling of the Holy Spirit.

A father who is bringing up his children is not filled with the Holy Spirit and not bringing up his children according to an accurate walk unless he's bringing them up in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord.

Kindly notice again there is no word to mothers. If he had put mothers in here he would have destroyed verse 22.

He could not put mothers in here. A servant and employee who does not do his rightful work is not filled with the Holy Spirit because he's not submitting to his master and submission is a result of the filling of the Holy Spirit and an employer who does not treat his employees right as a believer is not filled with the Holy Spirit.

All right let's start. So to the ladies in order to get the breakdown of the order of submission and it would be nice if your Bible was wide enough that all the verses would be equal then no one would feel they would be taken advantage of right?

Most of you have studied this before are you aware that every time that God wants to write about the marriage relationship he always writes to women first. Did you know that? Whenever God wants to write about the family relationship he always writes to children first and when he wants to write to slaves and to masters he always wants to write to slaves first.

Never diverges from that formula. So a believing wife in verse 22 finds herself in this category. No believing wife can walk accurately until she practices this by total submission.

In all my years of counseling and of talking with families with problems and with believing wives who have many times come, I never once had a believing wife say to me Pastor, I've sinned because I haven't obeyed my husband.

I've had believing wives come to me just trembling because of some sin in their life but I've never had a believing wife come to me and confess that she was disobedient to her husband and therefore it was sin.

I've had wives come to me and say Pastor, we're having so much trouble with our kids they won't listen to us, they won't obey us, they won't submit to us and my mind clicks and I say to her occasionally if I have nerve and knife, what kind of an attitude do you have towards your husband?

Do you ever go against his decisions? And occasionally a lady is honest and will say, yes, Pastor, I'm not a submissive wife.

How can you expect to have submissive children if you don't have a submissive wife and a submissive parent? It's impossible. I would remind you that verse 22 says, Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands as unto the Lord.

You will never do it, believing lady, until you get Christ in the right perspective. What right does the word of God have to say to me?

Submit to my husband. But because Christ submitted to the Father. I do always those things which please him. And that's the exact example he's going to use all the way through the text to chapter 6 verse 10.

God is not asking you to do anything that his son was not willing and able to do and did do. I would remind you the results of the filling of the Holy Spirit are in simplicity and boys and girls can be filled with the Holy Spirit on the basis of submission.

There are three things in verse 22 and you all know them. I personally do not believe it's a choice. It's a command. I do not understand dear Christian lady how you can wiggle out from under it. Does it say wives if you feel like it submit yourselves unto your old husband?

I don't think it says that. Always I read this. I read Barnes notes on the New Testament. I read some of the better commentaries on Ephesians and they tie everything together and say now a believing wife submits if the husband's in the right position.

It doesn't say that in my Bible. A wife says to me well I would submit to my husband if he be biblical and love me. I would remind you of something according of the total illustration if that's true then when you don't submit to Christ he shouldn't love you either.

If you disobey Christ he shouldn't love you either. I would remind you you would get thrown out of heaven before you ever got there if he worked on that basis. Don't give me this qualification and men and you men may breathe a sigh of relief tonight but there ain't no relief fellas.

We live in a world of which we think we're immune and we are not. What we read in our papers what we read in our books what we read in the stories that we run across our desk or as we sit down to relax hits us the TV hits us in regards to the association of men and women more the world says to us it is stupid for women to be doormats God never made them doormats he made them like you and I the picture of the church so it's a command you have a duty believing wives filled with the Holy Spirit walking accurately are going to submit themselves unto the person of their own husband so you have a duty and the person and you also have the manner as unto the Lord and until you get that in your head or your heart you'll never do it now in verse 23 he gives us or explains what he's talking about do you see why it's so important to realize the submission of

Christ to the father he says for now he's going to explain to us and he's going to explain to Christian ladies believing ladies why he says this for the husband is and there is no choice on that word whether you accept a statement or not there is no choice for the husband is the head of the wife no maybes about it now for the moment I'm talking believing wives to believing husbands let's leave it lay for a second it does not say whether you accept it or not this is not true it does say for the husband as he explains as unto the Lord now kindly notice that's what he wants you to get I submit to a believing husband as unto the Lord that proves I'm filled with the Holy Spirit the will of God for a believing wife is submit to a believing husband why for the husband is the head of the wife now he gives a pattern even as

Christ is the head of the church now let me ask you a question don't ask me out loud you could if you want to how many of you honestly believe! the biblical teaching that Christ is the head of the church does Christ tonight to have a right to say to you as a believer do this well then you can't get away from it ladies for that's the example he gets I know what you're going to say to me Christ never tells me to do anything wrong but he has not qualified it for the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church and he is the preserver or the deliverer of the body now interwoven with the wife is the illustration of the man therefore as the church is subject unto

Christ so wives be to their own husband I don't want to cover just a little ground tonight in fact I cut my message in half why should a believing wife submit to a believing husband well first of all to prove that she's filled with the Holy Spirit secondly to prove that she's walking accurately but there are some other reasons let's turn to Genesis chapter 3 if you wrote in a book what I am teaching audibly tonight it would never be a best seller because it's totally against the modern philosophy of the world in which we live and no one believes in slavery and nobody believes in inferior people

I do not ladies are not inferior people and God never said that I wonder if you're aware of something you've read it but let's review it verse 14 of Genesis 3 and the Lord God said unto the serpent because thou hast done this thou art cursed above all cattle and above every beast of the field upon thy belly shalt thou go and shalt thou eat all the days of thy life and I will put enmity between thee and the woman between thy seed and her seed it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel now look at ladies verse 16 as I'm talking to you tonight unto all right and thy desire shall be to thy husband now God has put in every woman who marries an intuitive sense of direction towards her husband that's what he says and I remind you something every woman in the world that they were married they are not desiring their husband first has had to instruct themselves within against their human nature because

God said one of the reasons that ladies are going to be this way is because they were the first in the sinning or part of the preparation of sinning and therefore the woman that is attached to a man has a desire for her husband that's intuitive and for a woman not to have that when she's married she has had to instruct herself or ingrain herself which is the direct opposite of the human nature that God has given her when she marries now you can do that by education they're doing it in our schools if you hit something so long into the brain you will believe it whether it's true or not Hitler did this communist countries are doing this with young people today starting with little people you can bombard them with false facts about the nation about the leaders and when they get old enough they'll believe it it's contrary to the nature them now that's exactly what he says here now go a little further for that's the next thing you've got to see even

Paul said this he said if a woman finds herself unmarried in Corinthians it would better be for her to stay unmarried if her husband has died she's a widow maybe it's better for her to stay married because if she's married she's going to desire the things of her husband instead of the things of God he said that openly when biblical marriage is consummated God places within the woman a direction towards the husband now Paul has gone one step further ladies he said that direction towards a believing husband puts a direction towards Jesus Christ I remind you men that that's where you're going to get hung!

Now that's not a condition of subjection and don't you ladies tell me that because I don't believe it but if my husband were like Christ I'd be subject to him now that's a cop up now notice the next phrase in Genesis 316 thy desire shall be to thy husband and he shall rule over thee you understand what I'm saying it is part of the law of God that a wife has a husband who rules over her now you can say all the ifs ands and buts that you want but there are no choices and a believing lady who's born married to a believing husband has to accept the biblical fact that her desire is towards her husband and he rules over her

I don't care what her personality is I've never taught it this way before next Sunday night I'm going to attack it from the back door but tonight I want to attack it just from the word of God all right number one why should a believing wife submit to believing husband well number one it's a command of God and if you do not go with the commands of God it's sin I've always been taught that disobedience is sin have you how many of you ladies don't raise your hand we'd have revival if this would take place how many of you have honestly confessed to God I do not practice a biblical position of an accurate walk filled with the Holy Spirit towards my husband God says so it's a command it's a proof of the filling of the Holy Spirit it's a proof that you're in the will of God in your position of life and it's part of an accurate walk and it's a law of God all right let's turn just to show you something turn to

Esther chapter one all of you know this little chapter it's not a good chapter but it shows that what we are just saying and found in the first book of the Bible was practiced even by heathens and therefore we have found that it is a law of God in Esther chapter one you have a queen by the name of Vashti I'm not going into the ramifications I have a little bit of problem with this I'm aware that probably it was a drunken party and most of the commentators on Esther chapter one say that the king wanted the queen to come in and have an orgy with the people that was there now my Bible does not say that my Bible does says that the king was very pleased that his wife was a beautiful woman and he wanted her to come to the party to show who the queen was now men you've got to put yourself in a position if you're a normal husband most of us ain't you want your wife to be attractive that's true and that's all the king wanted now she wouldn't come she disobeyed him a heathen well what difference does it make kindly notice something as you look at verse 19 or 18 someplace in there what he really says is we got a problem we have that which has been practiced for generations that the husband is the ruler of the home and we ask the wife to do something she doesn't now

Vashti has not done this and we got a problem if this gets around in the kingdom we're going to have women's lib and we're going to be up quick and he's right we're proving that in our country today now drop down they come to him verse 19 if it please the king let there be a royal commandment from him and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and Medes that it be not altered that Vashti come no more before King Ahasuerus she has disobeyed and let the king give her her royal estate unto another that he would have to include in the Hebrew language more beautiful and Esther was he was concerned as a heathen king about appearance but he was also concerned about submission and if this be true with heathen how much more believers based on the law of God because

God has put a law in a woman's heart that a man is to rule if she's married and so what happens when the king is decree what she shall make shall be published throughout all the empire for it's great all the wives shall give to their husbands honor both the great and the small and the same please the king it's a law of nature the creator has written into the heart of women and Vashti went against her men but I would remind you subjection has always been the tone of the female society turn to first Corinthians chapter 11 so ladies you may argue the point tonight but you are going against the law of God first Corinthians 11 we will not study it but just read it for a moment begin at verse 2

Paul says now I praise you brethren and ye remember me in all things and keep the ordinances or that which has been taught as I deliver them unto you but I would have you know that the head of every believing man is Christ now I put the word believing in there because the head of every unbelieving man is not Christ the head of an unbeliever!

the word head is a very interesting word it's the word for master it's the word for ruler it's the word for chief it is the basic Greek word for lord in other words Paul says there is order kindly notice that's exactly what Paul is saying in Ephesians with an accurate walk of a believer we can understand the will of God in the categories of our life and the first of the order of the word of the order for believing wives is to be subject under their own husbands and under the Lord the head of every believing man is Christ the Lord of every believing man the master the chief the ruler that's the foundation secondly and the head of the woman is the man same word lord master ruler chief and believing women have got to the place that it's facetious to them and

I would remind you to treat it lightly is to treat the word of God lightly for believing wives say to me I am not going to submit to that husband! you shouldn't have married them in a first life you see how important the word of God is if you girls aren't married tonight let me remind you of something don't ever marry a man you're not willing to submit to that's why God said be not unequally yoked together and when young ladies will not listen they find themselves trying to find the exceptions to the word of God and there are no exceptions the head of every woman is the man the world does not say that the world says the order is wrong women are equal all women are equal and they probably are but not in a biblical sense

I reminded my class this morning that this church someday I hope soon is going to have to write into its constitution a sexist clause what position do we believe women have in a believing local church do we believe in women preachers will you have a woman pastor oh you say pastor that's not important will never happen it could happen what is our position with women do we believe the word of god that man is the head I know some of you ladies have said to me occasionally pastor how come ladies don't have any officers in this church I remind you the word of god says a woman does not usurp authority over a man I have a little problem with churches who have lady officers now what they say to me they don't have any officers see it's expedient again to do it this way right no it's wrong and most of you know

I'm not against women god help us we wouldn't have many churches we didn't have women thank god we have men in this church along with women now notice what he said he always goes in the order I'm off the track a little bit we'll get back to it the head of the woman is the man she is subordinate to the man in all circumstances you realize why Paul wrote this to Corinth because the religion at Corinth was based on priestesses the men had brought up with heathen religions of Aphrodite and all the priestesses of the temple it was a woman's religion and the order was wrong and then he goes on to say and the head of Christ is God I come not to do my own will but the will of him that sent me always submission goes back to the example of Christ he always found the body and therefore he was always filled with the

Holy Spirit and he had an accurate walk ladies if somebody says to you what's the will of God for your life believing lady it's to submit to your own husband as unto the Lord go to Colossians chapter three you are aware that Colossians three reads almost like Ephesians five and we may turn there more often we may turn there again next week but I'd like to begin drawing this first lesson to believing ladies to a close look at Colossians three eighteen and it's interesting to me that it's always tied this way wives submit yourselves unto your own husband as it is fit in the Lord some of you have a translation or newer translation that reads this way wives submit yourself unto your own husband as it becomes the

Lord or as it is becoming to the Lord again Paul says why does a believing wife submit to a believing husband because it becomes Christ it puts Christ in his rightful position and it means you will not destroy the teaching of the position of Christ you realize that a believing wife who is insubmissive to her husband is a paradox to the teaching of the word God in the God to Christ and if a believing wife has a right not to submit to a believing husband then a believer in Jesus Christ has a right to say that Christ you have no right over me because whether it's in Ephesians whether it's in Colossians whether it's in Titus turn to 1st Peter chapter 3 it's there also now let me throw a wrench in the wheel for a moment in a moment probably the greatest illustration of marriage in the

Bible is Abraham and Sarah I personally believe that you realize that you ladies step out of the position of submission you step out of the privilege of being followers of Sarah don't forget that look at verse 6 even as Sarah obeyed Abraham calling him Lord you know Sarah is quite a woman every heathen king they bumped!

into had every beautiful girl that he wanted around her but when they saw Sarah they always wanted Sarah she must have been the most beautiful woman of her time and she was not a youngster even as Sarah obeyed Abraham calling him Lord whose daughters you are or in other words whose daughters you follow in the line of as believers in Jesus Christ for you are half Abraham as your father you know that he's the father of faith even of the New Testament believer as that's right and are not afraid with any amazement likewise the husbands dwell with them according to knowledge giving honor unto the wife and kindly notice not only is it the rule of God and the law of God that the wife be submissive not only is it even a heathen characteristic in those who are unbelievers not only do we have it from Paul not only do we have it in Colossians is unto the Lord but we have it here because whether you like to admit it or not ladies you are called a weaker vessel somebody says to me

I can do more than my husband does well you probably can but you're still a weaker vessel any husband's got a wife that'll do more than he does it stupid if he doesn't let her do it she's stupid if she does don't care make any difference to me but kindly notice something the weaker vessel it probably is a product of the sin of Adam and Eve and you realize the curse on the woman was you shall from now on desire your husband not God before that time they equally desired God and she was called they help me and a wife is still a help me but her desire was always to please God because she had perfect fellowship and now you have a law of God the man the husband shall rule over the wife

Genesis 3 16 and it carries all the way through the word of God and it's always as unto the weaker vessel why should believing ladies submit to believing husbands!

I don't see how you care about it if you're a lady Sunday school teacher tonight I would remind you if you are not submissive to your husband how are you teaching that Sunday school class?

You're doing it in your own strength without the filling of the Holy Spirit and you're not walking accurately and I'd remind you of something would you dare to say to your little boys and girls that you're teaching ladies when you get older as a believing young person a believing wife you act just like I do towards your husband and you'll be following the word of God the reason revival has stayed today is because so much knowledge of the world has infiltrated the believing mind and they've tried to amalgamate it with the word of God and it doesn't work let me stop it's off the beat but I want to say something to ladies because I've been talking to believing ladies and believing husbands and believing wives does a believing wife have to submit to an unbelieving husband?

the answer is yes if it's not true then chapter 3 if Peter verse 1 is wrong likewise ye wives be in subjection to your own husbands that if any obey not the word I assume that's a husband who's unsaved they also may without the word be won by the conduct of the wives how do you get around that?

does he say there are exceptions? there are exceptions and I'd like to close on this point that the conduct of a believing wife is the best witness to an unbelieving husband and I have a fear that many husbands will go to hell because Christian women will not obey the word of God I want to close I want to close in Titus chapter 2 for that's where I want to start next week I want to go from the back door next week in regards to the believing wife's submission to a believing husband probably one of the greatest paragraphs in your Bible is the second chapter of Titus but I'm going to drop down in the instruction to young wives to verse 5 to be discreet chaste keepers at home good obedient to their own husbands this is the phrase that the word of God be not blasphemed what he's saying to wives is that your obedience and subjection will cause the word of God not to be evil spoken of not to be maligned so Paul writes believing wife if you're going to walk accurately and in the will of God you're going to have to be filled with the Holy Spirit that's going to make you a happy wife and a helpful wife and a thankful wife and a submissive wife wives submit yourself unto your own husband as unto the Lord for the husband is the head of the wife even as the Christ is the head of the church and he is the savior of the body for this reason shall a wife submit herself unto her husband and now I give you two words in everything he just didn't say in the good things just like he didn't say be thankful for good things isn't it beautiful how the word of God ties together and never contradicts itself in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you wife be subjecting to your husband as unto the Lord in everything not just the good things let me ask you a question how many believing wives do I have here tonight who will say pastor we've been wrong you'll never be filled with the Holy Spirit until you put yourself in the will of God as a believing wife and I've walked you briefly through five instances of the word of God which shows you your position and the world has taught you not to like it don't put up with that you don't have to have that anymore it's a free society

God did not make a free society he made a free people based on obeying the truth and you really don't need any books you only need three little verses about the subject of submitted filled with the Holy Spirit Christian wives Heavenly Father it's a difficult task it's a difficult subject it's contrary to the world it's contrary to nature instructed today with the knowledge of secular thinking we know the power of Satan his power to question just as he did with Eve yea hath God really said you should do this has God really said submit can't be Lord it's your word so easy to read so easy to understand so hard to practice we are aware

Heavenly Father that we're being bombarded with teaching on the manifestation of the Holy Spirit looking for the emotion looking for the extra spiritual but here's the word simply it says to us every boy and girl and man and woman who knows Christ is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and find their position in the will of God in regards to submission so teach us the word we're just a small group of people but you are aware that a small group of people following and obediently to the commands of God turn the world upside down and somehow we've never caught the pioneering spirit a spirit filled Christian and so tonight use the word for Jesus sake amen let's stand together quietly our heads are bowed our eyes are closed the little song goes only to be what he wants me to be every moment of every day yielding completely to Jesus alone every step of life's pilgrim way just to be clay in the potter's hand ready to do what his word commands

I want your heads bowed and your eyes closed I'm not going to give any open invitation tonight I'm going to ask you to sing the little song if you mean give me a note quietly but with the words only to be what he wants me to be every moment of every day soim we can't he can't but with the love and I'm not going to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be to be lip lip lip lip lip lip lip lip sesh hy hy sal norm meet lip lip Thank you.
