[0:01] We'll turn today to the Gospel according to Mark. Gospel according to Mark at chapter 5. And we'll read from verse 21.

[0:30] Jesus has just been, you'll find it in verse 20, he departed from Decapolis. That's on the other side of the Sea of Galilee. We're up in the north, the northwest of what we call Israel.

[0:44] But around the Sea of Galilee and around Capernaum, way up to the north. And Jesus has moved away from, he's come out of Gadara. And he's come now back to Capernaum, to around his own region.

[1:01] And when Jesus was passed over again by ship and to the other side, much people gathered unto him. And he was nigh unto the sea. Behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name.

[1:14] And when he saw him, he fell at his feet. And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death. I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed, and she shall live.

[1:26] And Jesus went with him, and much people followed him and thronged him. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse.

[1:42] When she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

[1:53] And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press and said, Who touched my clothes?

[2:08] And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her, that had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

[2:26] And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole. Go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house, certain which said, Thy daughter is dead.

[2:40] Why throublest thou the master any further? As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter and James and John, the brother of James.

[2:56] And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult. And them that wept and wailed greatly. And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado and weep?

[3:09] The damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn, but when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

[3:22] And he took the damsel by the hand, and saith unto her, Talitha kumi, Which is being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, Arise. And straightway the damsel arose and walked, For she was of the age of twelve years.

[3:37] And they were astonished with a great astonishment. And he charged them straightly, That no man should know it, And commanded that something should be given her to eat.

[3:49] Amen. May the Lord bless that portion of his word to us. We'll sing again this time in Psalm 142. Psalm 142 from the beginning.

[4:12] I with my voice cried to the Lord, With it made my request. Poured out to him my plaint to him, My trouble I expressed. When in me was overwhelmed my spirit, Then well thou newsed my way.

[4:26] Where I did walk a snare for me, The privilege did lay. I looked on my right hand and viewed, But none to know me where. All refuge failed me. No man did for my soul to care.

[4:38] I cried to thee, I said, Thou art my refuge, Lord alone. And in the land of those that live, Thou art my portion. Because I am brought very low, Attendant to my cry.

[4:50] Me from my persecutor save, Who stronger are than I. From prison bring my soul, That I thy name may glorify. The just shall compass me, When thou with me delst bounties.

[5:03] We'll sing the Psalm. Psalm 142. From the beginning. I with my voice cried to the Lord, With it made my request. And we stand again to sing. I with my voice died to the Lord, With it made my request.

[5:30] For God to Him, My claim to Him, My trouble I expends.

[5:48] When in me was all one mine, And when I was all one mine, When I did not pass it for me, They gave me an hidden day.

[6:21] I did not pass it for me, The God of mine by his hand, We have my fire charged.

[6:44] He know not before my soul did give.

[6:56] I cry to Thee, I said, O Lord, my refuge Lord alone.

[7:13] And with the name of those that live, Thou art my portion.

[7:30] Because I am brought very low, That I am done to my crown.

[7:48] With all my persecutors, Thee, I said, Who's stronger, All I am.

[8:08] From Christ's home bring my soul that I, Thy name may not be high, The church shall come, Blast me when the wedding Let's love your skin.

[8:44] Amen. Before we turn to God's word again, We'll have a short word of prayer And ask for his blessing upon it. O Lord, O God, We come again to Thee this day In our helplessness.

[9:00] For as we try to meditate upon Thy word, We realize how much we need Thee. The hymn writer said, Lord, I need Thee. I need Thee every hour.

[9:12] I need Thee. And that is the case with us as we contemplate What Thy word tells us about our Saviour. And help us, O Lord, By Thy Spirit to get an entrance into it.

[9:25] That each one of us, Both speaker and hearer alike, Would understand a little Of who Jesus is. And that He would be to us as He was to the church.

[9:37] Altogether lovely. Bless us then as we meet around Thy word And all connected with us. We commit to Thee. Forgive our sins for Jesus' sake. Amen.

[9:49] We turn again to the Gospel that we read. The Gospel according to Mark chapter 5. And at the verse 34. There's our text.

[10:02] And He said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole. Go in peace, And be whole of thy plague. John Newton, The author of Amazing Grace.

[10:20] During his time, It wasn't an easy journey for John Newton. He watched cancer slowly. And painfully.

[10:32] Kill his wife. Over a period of many months. And in recounting those days. This is what John Newton said. I believe it was about two or three months.

[10:47] Before her death. When I was walking up and down in the room. Offering disjointed prayers. From a heart torn with distress.

[11:01] That I thought that the thought suddenly struck me. With unusual force to this effect. The promises of God must be true. Surely the Lord will help me.

[11:16] If I am willing to be helped. It occurred to me, he said. That we are often led. From an undue regard of our feelings.

[11:27] To indulge that unprofitable grief. Which both our duty and our peace require us to resist. To the utmost of our power. I instantly cried aloud.

[11:39] Lord, I am helpless indeed. In myself, I am helpless. But I hope I am willing.

[11:52] Without reserve. That thou shouldest help me. Our friends, wouldn't that be a good exercise for ourselves this morning.

[12:03] Seeing our helplessness. And saying like John Newton. I am helpless indeed. In myself. But I hope I am willing.

[12:18] Without reserve. That thou shouldest help me. In this chapter. In this portion of the chapter of chapter 5. We are going to see a little.

[12:30] Of the helpless. Finding help. Seeing I am here both morning and evening. I would like to split this chapter.

[12:42] This part of the chapter into two. In the first this morning. We will look at. What we call what some people. What some commentators called. Called the interrupted miracle.

[12:53] The miracle. That's the woman. Who came to Jesus. And in the evening. We look at. The other miracle. That's Jairus' daughter.

[13:06] In each of these. We will see. Two things. We will see that. Jesus. Is accessible. And that Jesus.

[13:20] Is available. In connection. With the people. And friends. If you don't get anything. Out of anything. We say this morning. Please. Please. Take that with you.

[13:32] Jesus. Is accessible. This morning. And Jesus. Is available. It was true. Concerning.

[13:44] This. Poor woman. And it's true. Concerning. We look at. Three things. In connection. With this woman. First of all. We look at.

[13:55] Faith. Concealed. Secondly. We look at. Faith. Rewarded. And then. We look at. Faith. Revealed. First of all.

[14:07] Then. Faith. Concealed. Well. Look again. At the verses. We read. The lake. The people. Of Gadara.

[14:18] He had been. Over the lake. If you read. The other part. Of chapter five. You'll find. That the people. Of Gadara. Wanted. Rid of him. Verse 17.

[14:29] They say. They began. To. Pray him. To depart. Out of their coasts. They wanted. Rid. Of Jesus. And Jesus. Went.

[14:40] Friends. Where Jesus. Isn't wanted. Jesus. Will not stay. Make sure. Of that. You think.

[14:51] Of that. Where he's not wanted. He'll not stay. That's what he does. He goes over. To the other side. He crossed over. To the other side.

[15:02] And look. At we have. Verse 20. 21. Much. People. Gathered. To him. Joseph. They're almost. Waiting.

[15:13] For the boat. Don't you? They much. Gathered. And he was. Nigh unto the sea. The crowd. Pressed around him. He is surrounded. By people. And then.

[15:24] Out of the crowd. Comes this man. With this request. Verse 23. His little daughter. Lies at the point. Of death. And he's wanting. Jesus. To go with him.

[15:35] And Jesus. Goes with him. Jesus. Went with him. And on the way. We find that. Much. People.

[15:46] Look at 24. Again. Much. People. Followed him. And. Thronged him. This was. A great crowd. Friends. This wasn't.

[15:57] 10. 20. Or 30. The bible. The bible says. Much people. It means. Much people. When it means. Thronged. If you ever see.

[16:08] The thronged. I mean. I saw that. On television. Pictures. About. About. Afghanistan. At the airport. At Kabul. It's.

[16:19] Harrowing. It's. An awful. Picture. Of. Crowds. Thousands. Crowding. A throng. Of people. Trying to get out of that.

[16:30] Awful place. We've got. A crowd. Here. But. In. Amongst. That crowd. We find. There was. A woman.

[16:41] And. You know. A certain. Woman. That's all. She said. Verse 25. She was a certain. Woman. She had. Watched.

[16:52] She had. Listened. Do you get the impression. That she's just. Outside. The crowd. And. She's. Maybe. She's listening. To the.

[17:03] Request. Of. She's. She's. Doing. That. And. She comes. This woman. She's. Had.

[17:14] A problem. For. A long. It's. Been. With. As. As. As. As. As.

[17:25] As. As. As. As. As. As. As. As. As. of.

[17:36] As. As.

[17:49] As. As. Anschbiot. was worse that 12th year of her illness than she was at the first year. She was there, she was totally, she was totally worse. But there was less in it as well.

[18:07] Not only did she have the physical disability but she was declared unclean. The religion of the time, the Jewish religion of the time, if you had an issue, if a woman had a blood problem, whatever that problem may be, she was declared unclean.

[18:27] She was put out of the camp as it were. She was not allowed into the church of the day. She wasn't allowed into the synagogue. Nobody was allowed to touch her. Nobody was allowed to be near her. She was an outsider. She was on her own. But look at the ray of hope, hope. Verse 27. Look at verse 27. She had heard of Jesus. Oh friends, put that into bold letters.

[18:58] Put that into bold letters this morning. She heard of Jesus. And she came to him in the press, it says here, under the cover of the crowd. She had heard of him. Now she sees him with her own eyes.

[19:19] And she's desperate to get to him. Do you get the impression that this woman was a frail woman? A small woman. I get that impression. And I get the impression as well that in this big crowd, she's desperately trying to get to him. This big fellow in front of her, or this big lady in front of her, or whoever is in front of her, this crowd in front of her, is preventing her from getting to Jesus.

[19:47] And she wants to get through to Jesus. And this is what she said. Verse 28. If I may but touch his clothes, I shall be made whole. Now look at the two things there.

[20:04] What she says. Now there's a difference in the two. If I may but touch. Now the word may has a bit of of uncertainty in it, hasn't it? If I may, if I may go to, if I can go, if I may go. But the word, the next word she says, is if I may, if I can touch, if I, the uncertainty is in myself, but I shall be whole. That is absolute certainty. She has uncertainty in herself, but she has absolute certainty in the fact that if she touches this Jesus, Jesus will make her whole. I shall be made whole. Spurgeon says on this, it's not in the touch, but it is in what is touched.

[21:05] Not in her touch, not in her ability. There was an uncertainty in that, but there was absolute certainty once she got to Jesus, she would be made whole. Friends, let's get that this morning.

[21:21] There is plenty of uncertainty in me and in you. There is plenty of uncertainty of what we can do. But friends, there is absolutely no uncertainty in the person to which we can go to, and that is Jesus Christ. I may be full of sin, and I am full of sin. You may be full of sin. You may have said to yourself, I've sinned for so many years. I've sinned for this period of time. Ah, if you knew only what sin I committed. Ah, friends, if you only knew what sin I committed personally, you wouldn't be listening to me this morning.

[22:02] None of us. But friends, there is this in it. No matter who you are, how long you've been in sin, there is this certainty in it. It is this, that you can cry out to him. You can touch him.

[22:19] How do I mean touch him? Well, you know it as well as I do. Prayer. That's what touches the Savior. In the closet, in the secret of your own home. Not in front of people. You don't need to be in front of people.

[22:37] But in the closet, in your own home, come to Jesus. Nothing but Jesus. I was reading this week in a story from D.L. Moody. D.L. Moody was a great evangelist of the 19th century.

[22:55] He preached a lot in the Americans. He preached. He came to Britain quite a bit as well. But one day he was preaching in Baltimore in America.

[23:08] And attending the meeting was a newspaper reporter who had gone there with the express purpose of of criticizing, of exposing Moody as a false preacher.

[23:26] He believed that the stories that Moody told were often made up. Moody had a great gift of using stories to bring people in.

[23:38] And he told this story that night. He says, a certain gentleman was walking down one of the streets of our cities.

[23:51] It was just before Christmas, he says. And the shops were full of lights. This was in the 19th century as well. The shops were full of lights.

[24:01] And in the windows, there was plenty of presents. And he says, a person was passing by.

[24:15] Another man was passing by. And he says, as he was passing by, he saw beside this window three young girls. They were looking in the window. And as he passed, he says, two of them were trying to describe to one in the middle what they were seeing.

[24:35] They told him. And this aroused his attention, this man's attention. And he went back and he pretended that he was a wee bit of distance away. And he wanted to hear what they were saying.

[24:48] And he realized that the girl in the middle was blind. And had been blind from birth. And the two sisters beside them were trying to tell the young girl what was in the window.

[25:01] They were trying to describe the toys. Trying to describe what color the toys were. Of course, the poor girl had known what that color was. And they were trying to describe.

[25:11] And one of them would try to say something. The other would try to say a different thing. And they found it very difficult. The man said. And Moody went on.

[25:22] That's, he says, just the position I'm in. In trying to tell people about Christ. I may talk about him.

[25:33] And yet people see no beauty in him. That they should desire him. But if they would only come to him. He will open their eyes and reveal himself to them.

[25:45] In all his loveliness and grace. And after the meeting. The man who had the reporter who had come into Moody. To criticize him.

[25:57] Asked him. Where he had got that story. And Moody replied. That he had read it in a Boston paper. Newspaper. And the man turned to Moody.

[26:09] And he said to him. That was me. I wrote that article. And as a means of that story.

[26:22] That evening. That man came to see. The beauty of Jesus. And he went home. Converted. Oh my friends.

[26:33] The amazing ways of conversion. He had come in. With criticism. He went out. With conversion. That was the story. Of that man.

[26:44] What a story. Well. That's this woman. She came. And she wasn't in any way critical. But she came. Because she had seen. Something. In this Jesus.

[26:56] She had come. In her need. To him. That was her faith. Concealed. And maybe you're here today. And you're concealing your faith.

[27:08] Oh friends. Your desire is to know more. And more. Of this Jesus. Maybe you would love to have him. For yourself today. And go away.

[27:19] And say. I have found him. Who my soul. Is desiring. Well. Take this woman. She came. In her need.

[27:30] And she found herself. Look at verse 29. When. When. If I may touch. But this close. I shall be whole. And she touched.

[27:41] And straightway. The fountain. Of her blood. Was dried up. And she felt. In her body. That she was healed. Of that plague. Spurgeon says on this. Her finger.

[27:51] Was put out. Her finger. Was put out. And the deed was done. Picture it friends. She's there. In the crowd. She's wriggling away.

[28:03] In the crowd. And what does she do? She just gets. A finger. Never thought of that. I never thought of that. It wasn't.

[28:15] A touch. It was. A finger. She gets. A finger. Just came to my mind.

[28:27] One of the divines. I can't remember. Who it was. One of the Puritans. Said. That if you have faith. Like a string. Of a. Spider's web.

[28:39] Imagine. Faith. Like a string. Of a. Fibers web. Have you ever looked at a. Spider's web. Look as small as it is. Just one.

[28:50] Little string of that. You will be saved. This woman. That faith. She stretched it out. And look what happened.

[29:01] Immediately. And she felt. In her body. She felt in her body. Straightway. The fountain. That word straightway. Means. Immediately.

[29:13] Immediately. Immediately. The fountain. Of her blood. Was dried up. Verse 29. And she felt. In her body. That she was healed. Of that man. Immediately. Instantaneous. Instantly.

[29:24] Once. Her finger. Touched. The hem of his garment. She felt. In a minute. Like that. That she was whole. That she was healed. Did you ever.

[29:36] I don't know if you ever got. An electric shock. But many of us. You would have got a static shock. You know. When you're. You're traveling down somewhere. Maybe on a rail. And you hit a railway. And you get. You get an instant shock.

[29:47] It's as if it goes right through your body. Well I believe that this woman. Didn't get. Such an electric shock. But immediately. She touched Jesus.

[29:58] It went. Right. Through her body. And she was. Instantly. Felt that she was. She was. She was cured. She was. She was. She was well. Her whole body.

[30:09] Felt it. It was a pleasant. Rather than unpleasant. When we get a shock. That's what it was. Straight away. Immediately. And friends. That can happen to you.

[30:20] And to me. Can happen to us today. This morning. This woman. Was in a bad way. She had been a bad way. For a long time. She had tried everything.

[30:32] And she hears of Jesus. And she makes her way to Jesus. And there you have it. She touches him. Oh friends. She knew her need. She was desperate.

[30:43] That day. The thing about us is. Do we see your need? Do you see your need of Christ? I was speaking.

[30:56] Somebody this morning. Just this morning. I asked him. He's got two children. I asked him if he was praying for his children.

[31:09] That's what I said about today. Oh pray for your children. We live in uncertain times. We don't know what's coming. But remember to pray.

[31:19] Pray for your children. For what's coming. We don't know what's coming. But the days don't look good. The day doesn't look. It looks dark. Pray for your grandchildren.

[31:32] Because the need is great. The need is great friends. Her need is great. Your need is great. There's a lesson here for us.

[31:44] She made her way in the crowd. She made her way in the crowd. She. It wasn't easy. And friends. Sometimes it will not be easy to come.

[31:56] To Christ. There will be a stumbling block in your way. We were saying that on Thursday night. Maybe there has been a stumbling block in your way this morning. Even to come to church.

[32:06] Often. Often. It's the case. Something needs done. Or something will distract you from coming to church. You may not come to church. So. So there's a distraction.

[32:18] The devil will try to stop you. This crowd was stopping her. But she made her way in. And there's. There's. There's what she gets. She gets.

[32:30] She gets. Rewarded. For her faith. There it is then. And that's a friend for you. And for me. They would do the same thing. You see. What she did that day is.

[32:42] You see. In verse. 31. Look at what. She said. When. When. When. When. When. When. The saviour asked.

[32:53] Who touched me. We find. The question that the. The disciples put to the saviour is there. How can. How can you ask who touched you. There's such a big crowd.

[33:03] Crowd around. You see. She had got through. Such that big crowd. That she exercised. Her faith. Now look at Bartimaeus.

[33:16] Can you remember the story of Bartimaeus. Jesus is passing by. He's going through Jericho. He's going through Jericho. Probably for the last time. I think it was the last time. Remember what she.

[33:28] What Bartimaeus. Cried out. Jesus. Jesus. Though son of David. Have mercy on me. Now friends. If she.

[33:39] If Bartimaeus. Had not called out. Jesus. Would have passed by. Bartimaeus. But he exercised.

[33:50] What he could. He couldn't walk. He couldn't see. But he exercised. His voice. He cried out. Jesus. Though son of David. Have mercy on me.

[34:03] So this woman. She exercised. What she could. She made her way. Through. The crowd. There. To Jesus. And.

[34:15] She was successful. She got. To Jesus. She got. To Jesus. And. She was. Healed. What a wonderful. That is. And.

[34:25] Straight away. The found. Of her blood. Verse 29. Dried up. And she felt. In her body. That she was healed. Of her. Plague. But then we move on. Finally. Time is running on.

[34:37] Is. Faith. Revealed. This faith. Was. Concealed. This faith. Had been.

[34:47] Rewarded. But. This. Faith. Had to be. Revealed. You see. Jesus. Wasn't ignorant. The fact. That this woman. Had touched him.

[34:59] This was no accident. Look at verse. Look at verse 30 there. Jesus. Immediately. Knowing. In himself. That virtue. Had gone out of him. Look at this word.

[35:09] Immediately. Again. Straight away. Exactly the same word. Immediately. Immediately. The minute. The moment. The moment.

[35:21] This woman. Touched Jesus. That was the moment. Exact moment. That Jesus felt power. Going out of him. Says virtue here.

[35:32] And. I'm. That's an amazing. Reality. Friends. The very second. Now. You think of it. People were pushing up against him. That's what the disciples had said.

[35:43] And yet. He. Knew. That. There was. Something. Had happened. To him. And to this woman. And he wasn't going to leave it at that.

[35:53] Look at verse 32. He asks. He looked. He looked. After he had put the question. Who touched me? In verse 31. He looked.

[36:04] Around. About. To see. Her. That had done this thing. Do you think he didn't know? That this woman was there?

[36:16] I don't believe it. I just take the word as it is. Some people say. That he didn't know in his humanity. And then they're talking about. His. His. His deity. And his humanity.

[36:27] But why would. In the scripture have it. Written down here. He looked around. To see. Her. That had done this. Her. That had done this. And you get the.

[36:38] You get the. You get the. The feeling. He. He. Jesus is. Looking around. He's putting the question. And he said. Who touched me?

[36:48] And he's looking. He's looking at the crowd. And he sees this woman. This woman. Look at what he sees. He sees this woman.

[37:00] Verse 33. And the woman. And the woman. Fearing and trembling. Knowing. What was done in her. Came. And fell down before him. And told him.

[37:12] All the truth. Look. As I think this. And when the woman saw. That she was. Not hid. She came trembling. And falling down. Before him. She declared unto him.

[37:23] Before all the people. For what cause. She had touched him. And how she was healed. Immediately. And then she told him. I wonder what conversation.

[37:34] Went on. Do you? I think she told him. Just as. She would have told him. How she felt. Before. Doesn't tell us. About the conversation.

[37:46] But there's no reason. For us to think. About the conversation. She told him. Everything. She would have told him. Where she came from. When she left the home. That day.

[37:56] Where she heard about him. And why she came to him. How she came to him. The woman came. She came to him here. And look at his reply. Daughter.

[38:06] He says. Verse 34. Daughter. What a lovely. What a lovely. Term that is. And you know.

[38:18] It's the only time. You'll see Jesus. Saying it. In the whole of the. Of the New Testament. He doesn't say. To the woman. Of Samaria. He doesn't say.

[38:29] To Mary Magdalene. He doesn't say. To the other Marys. He says. To her daughter. Daughter. Thy faith. Hath made thee whole. Go in peace. She comes.

[38:42] An outcast. She couldn't get into. Even into the assembly. Of God's people. She couldn't get into the church. Yet she comes. Why? Because her trust.

[38:55] Her trust. Is in Jesus. In this Jesus. And Jesus. As a result. Wants. As it were. To draw her out of the crowd.

[39:06] He wants her. To declare her trust. To tell her trust. Her knowledge. Was poor. Her understanding.

[39:17] Of salvation. May have been very small. But she had this. She had trust. Trust that. If she touched. This person. Just. With a finger.

[39:28] She was. She would be. She would be. Be. Be. Be. Made toll. And there she is. She's called. Daughter. Before. The whole crowd.

[39:40] She's called. Daughter. What does this mean? Dispatch. This means. That. Being an. Outcast. Before. Outside.

[39:51] Before. She's now. Brought. In. But she's. Brought. In. Not only. To. The. The. The. Promises.

[40:02] Of Israel. But she's. Brought. Into. The kingdom. Of Jesus. Christ. She's. Brought. Into. To. Become. Into. The. Family of. God.

[40:13] Into. The. family of this Jesus she is an heir an heir of God but not only is she an heir of God she's a joint heir with Christ with the son if the son shall make you free you shall be free indeed this is the same term it's a daughter she has become an heir with Christ all friends we can gloss over this so easily but we don't realize the reality and the wonder and the largeness the largeness of this term daughter to an unknown woman from an unknown an unknown we don't know what household she keep we don't know if she was married or not it looks as if she wasn't there she is and she's brought in she's recovered back back to health back to society back to God oh friends life had been hard for this woman and how hard it had been for her no everything is new all things have passed away she was crippled almost with with her her disease she was a wreck we could say but now everything is new how was that it was simply very simply because there was one standing beside her that day that day who was jesus christ charles welsey has a wonderful hymn through all the changing scenes of life through all the changing scenes of life in trouble and in joy the praises of my god shall still my heart and tongue employ oh magnify the lord with me with me exalt his name when in distress to him i called he to my rescue came not wonderful and then he goes on oh make but trial of his love experience will decide how blessed they are and only they who in his truth confide for him ye sins and you will then fear him ye sins and you will then have nothing else to fear make you his service your delight your wants shall be his care oh friends i just look at this woman and i think of her having told her daughter thy faith hath made thee whole go in peace go in peace and behold of thy plague what did she do what did she do doesn't mention of her coming to jesus's house later on we don't mention of that i think she went home and you know how i think she went home i think she had been so full of joy you can see her jumping leaping down the road she who could hardly walk in an instant she's sleeping and praising god oh friends that can be you and that can be me a touch by a finger a little cry from a broken heart and that's what we can come to jesus and meanwhile standing there is another individual jesus who had come to jesus who had come to jesus because his only daughter was lying at the point of death and he left that morning he left his wife and his young daughter at the point of death

[44:16] and he's seeing all this going on as jesus was going back to his house how do you think he felt well in the evening we'll try to elaborate upon that may god bless our meditation this morning we'll have a short word of prayer oh eternal god we give thanks for thy goodness to us us we give thanks for the availability and accessibility of thy son a son who remaineth ever the same we're rid of him passing there through quipernaum and in a way and in just the same way he is passing by in tolster this morning as he always does when his word is read and when his word was declared he has done it yet again amen all that our reply would be to him like it was to like it was for martimaeus and like for this war jesus those done of david have mercy on me that will be the cry of our hearts be with us oh lord god the rest of today and all give life to us in the evening be thou our ever present day keep our feet from falling and pardon all our sins and holy things we ask it for jesus sake amen we'll conclude by singing to god's praise in psalm 143 from the second version psalm 143 the second version psalm 143 at verse six

[46:26] We'll sing these two stanzas, verse 6 and 7. Lo, I do stretch my hands to thee, my help alone, for thou well understand all my complaint and moan.

[46:39] 6 and 7, God's praise and conclusion. O, I do stretch my hand to thee, my help alone, for thou well understand all my complaint and moan.

[47:09] My thirst is holy, son, and no man after thee.

[47:22] I'll search this and reply, where the way refers to thee.

[47:33] 7 and 7, God's praise and mercy. 7 and 7, God's praise and mercy.

[47:45] 7 and 7, God's praise and mercy. 7 and 7, God's praise and mercy. 8 and 7, God's praise and mercy.

[47:57] 7 and 7, God's praise and mercy. 8 and 7, God's praise and mercy. 8 and 7, God's praise and mercy.

[48:22] Mr. Campbell, if you could pronounce a benediction, please. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all, now and of heaven.
