[0:00] Shall I read the Word of God as we find it in Paul's letter to the Galatians and chapter 2? Galatians chapter 2.
[0:19] Galatians chapter 2.
[0:49] Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law.
[1:04] For by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin?
[1:17] God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
[1:31] I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live, yet not I. But Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh shall live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
[1:46] I do not frustrate the grace of God, for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. O foolish Galatians, who have bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ have been evidently set forth, crucified among you.
[2:07] This only would I learn of you. Receive ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh?
[2:21] Have you suffered so many things in vain, if it be yet in vain? He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or even by hearing of faith.
[2:37] Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness, know ye therefore that they which are of faith are the same of the children of Abraham.
[2:49] And the scripture foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee all the nations shall be blessed.
[3:01] So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. And so on may the Lord bless that reading of his own holy word.
[3:13] Well, before we consider that passage this evening, we're going to sing again, this time in Psalm 62. Psalm 62, proceeding from verse 5 down to the verse marked 8.
[3:28] Psalm 62 is one of many confessions that David gives, the Christian confession.
[3:46] And these verses in Psalm 62, David is telling his testimony. We'll also see that in Psalm 40. We'll sing that later on. And here David is confessing that there's no one else in his life apart from the Lord.
[4:00] That's his confession of faith. That he loves the Lord and there's no one else in his life. That's what he says in verse 6. He only my salvation is, and my strong walk is he.
[4:12] He only is my sure defense. I shall not moved be. And David loves telling his testimony. He loves speaking about what the Lord has done in his life.
[4:22] So much so that he says in verse 8, he speaks to all of us. And he says in verse 8, You people, you people place your confidence in him continually.
[4:33] Before him pour ye out your heart. God is a refuge high. So we're singing Psalm 62, verse 5, down to the verse marked 8. To God's praise.
[4:44] Psalm 63, verse 5, down to the verse.
[5:14] Psalm 63, verse 6, down to the verse.
[5:44] Psalm 63, verse 6, down to the verse.
[6:14] Psalm 63, verse 6, down to the verse.
[6:44] Psalm 63, verse 6, down to the verse.
[7:14] Psalm 63, verse 6, down to the verse. Psalm 63, verse 6, down to the verse. Psalm 63, verse 6, down to the verse.
[7:25] Well, if we could, this evening, with the Lord's help, and the Lord's enabling. If we could turn back to that portion of scripture that we read, Paul's letter to the Galatians, chapter 2.
[7:39] Galatians chapter 2, and a very familiar text, verse 20. Where Paul writes, I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me, and the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
[8:11] I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
[8:30] My Christian friend, I'd like to speak to you this evening about your confession as a Christian.
[8:41] Because the confession of the Christian, it's a wonderful confession of faith in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone. And it's a confession where you are no longer my unconverted friend, but you are my Christian friend.
[8:58] I don't know when I first started describing the people of Barvis as my unconverted friend or my Christian friend. But as we said this morning, J.C. Ryle knew how hard it was to address everyone in his congregation on any given Lord's Day.
[9:15] Which is why at one service he would preach to them as if they were all unconverted. And then at the other service, he would preach to them as if they were all Christians. That way, Ryle believed that he could address everyone in the congregation on the Lord's Day.
[9:33] And for that reason, this morning, I addressed you all, as you know, as my unconverted friend. And as we saw from John chapter 15, Jesus said, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
[9:46] You are my friends. If you do whatsoever, I command you. And we learned that the command of Jesus is clear. It's as clear as A, B, C. We're to abide in him.
[9:58] We're to believe on him. And we're to commit our life to him. Jesus says to our unconverted friends, Abide in me, believe on me, and commit to me.
[10:10] But this evening, I'm going to address you all as my Christian friend. But as I said this morning, You know who you are. Some of your faces are familiar, But I don't know who you all are with the Lord.
[10:25] You know if you're my unconverted friend. You know if you're my Christian friend. You know which camp you're in. You know what side of the fence you're on. You know where you stand with Jesus.
[10:38] Because you're either my unconverted friend, Or you're my Christian friend. And if you're my Christian friend, Then this verse, This verse is your confession of faith. Because like it was for the Apostle Paul, It's the confession of the Christian.
[10:54] Galatians 2 verse 20 Is the confession of the Christian. I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live, yet not I. But Christ lives in me.
[11:06] And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, And gave himself for me. So my Christian friend, Your confession of faith is, I am crucified, I am connected, And I am confident.
[11:26] My Christian friend, Your confession of faith Is I am crucified, I am connected, And I am confident. And there are our three headings This evening.
[11:38] I am crucified, Connected, And confident. So first of all, Paul says, That our confession of faith Is I am crucified. That's what he says At the beginning of verse 20.
[11:51] I am crucified with Christ. I am crucified with Christ. And from the outside of his confession of faith, Paul immediately holds forth the cross.
[12:04] Because for Paul, The cross means everything to him. The cross is the message of salvation. The cross is Christ and him crucified. And Paul knows that the cross is the power of God unto salvation, To all who believe.
[12:21] Paul knows that the cross is the peace of God. Because it's through the peace of God, That we experience peace through the blood of the cross. And it's also the promise of God.
[12:32] The promise to have our sins taken away, And for it all to be nailed to the cross of Christ. In fact, Paul believes so much in the centrality of the cross, And the beauty of its message, That he says, Towards the end of this letter, He says, God forbid, God forbid that I should boast in anything, Except the cross of Jesus Christ.
[12:57] Paul brings everything he writes, And everything he presents to us, He always brings it back to the cross. Because as a Christian, The cross means everything to him.
[13:09] But of course, There was a day in Paul's life, When he was an unconverted friend, And the cross meant nothing to him. And my Christian friend here this evening, There was a day in your life, And also in my life, When the cross meant absolutely nothing to us.
[13:26] We sat in church, We heard the sermons, We heard the preaching, But the cross just seemed like foolishness to us. And yet the wonder is, That through the foolishness of preaching the cross, We came to know the grace of God, And the power of God, And to salvation.
[13:45] Because as Jesus was lifted up before us in the gospel, We were drawn to him. By the work of the Spirit, We were drawn to Jesus, To call upon him for salvation, And to confess him as our saviour.
[14:00] But you know, Even though Paul loved the cross, As a first century Christian, He knew what crucifixion meant. As someone who had witnessed crucifixion, Paul knew that crucifixion was The most barbaric form of capital punishment.
[14:20] He knew that no one ever survived crucifixion. Paul knew that a victim of crucifixion Didn't die of the pain, Or of blood loss.
[14:32] They suffocated. They suffocated on their own blood. They suffocated with exhaustion. Because the only way to draw in breath, When you're hanging on a cross, Is to push down on the nails in your hands and feet, And just draw in a little breath.
[14:51] And that would go on for hours, Sometimes days. The battle between the desire to live, And the prospect of death, It would go on for hours or even days.
[15:02] Which is why Paul knew that crucifixion symbolised The curse of sin upon all mankind. He writes, Cursed is everyone who hangs upon a tree.
[15:14] But you know, When Paul discovered the grace of God Through the cross of Jesus Christ, He confessed that a crucified Christ Is the glory of the gospel.
[15:26] A crucified Christ Is the glory of the gospel. Because, as you know my friend, It was upon the cross of Jesus Christ That he became a curse for us.
[15:38] We know all these verses. 2 Corinthians 5.21 He who knew no sin, He became sin for us. That we might be made the righteousness Of God in him.
[15:51] He bore our sin In his own body upon the tree. That we being dead to sin Might live unto righteousness. Paul also says, Though he was rich, Yet for our sakes he became poor.
[16:03] That we through his poverty Might become rich. We know all these verses That remind us about Calvary's Great transaction. That it all took place upon the cross.
[16:15] That the worst about me Was laid upon him. And the best about him Was laid upon me. My disobedience Transferred to Christ. His obedience Transferred to me.
[16:27] My sin and shame That was reckoned to Jesus. But his salvation And his security That was reckoned to me. My ruin Credited to the cross of Christ.
[16:41] But his riches Credited to me. My rags of righteousness Removed. And his word of righteousness Received.
[16:52] It is Calvary's great transaction. And as a Christian The cross meant everything to Paul. He brings everything back to the cross. And you know my Christian friend Needless to say The cross should mean everything to us.
[17:10] We should never tire of the cross. We should never tire of hearing about the cross. We should never tire of thinking Of Christ upon the cross.
[17:20] And all that he suffered In our place. But how the hymniter said In my place condemned He stood. Sealed my pardon with his blood.
[17:32] Hallelujah. What a saviour. Everything The cross should mean everything to us. Everything should go back To the cross of Jesus Christ. But you know When we actually consider What Paul is saying here.
[17:47] He doesn't just speak about the cross From the perspective of Of Christ dying for our sins. Paul speaks here about The cross from the perspective of Paul dying with Christ.
[18:02] He says I am crucified With Christ. I am crucified with Christ. And what he's reminding us of Is the call of Christianity.
[18:14] You remember how Jesus said Whosoever will come after me Let him deny himself And then take up his cross And follow me.
[18:27] Paul is reminding us about The call of Christianity. The call to become a Christian. The call to live This crucified life. And the call to live A crucified life Is the call to be crucified With Christ.
[18:40] It's the call to surrender And submit everything And every area Of our lives To Jesus. My friend The call of Christianity Is the call to come and die.
[18:56] The call of Christianity Is the call to come and die. We are to die to sin And we are to die to self And we are to die daily to sin And die daily to self.
[19:08] There was a 19th century American theologian And writer A.W. Tozer He wrote a book Based upon this verse Verse 20 And the book is called The Crucified Life It's a brilliant book I'd highly recommend you read it It's very very challenging But in the introduction of the book Tozer explains the title He explains why he called it The Crucified Life And he writes What I mean by the title The Crucified Life Is a life Wholly given over to the Lord In absolute humility And obedience The Crucified Life Is a life Which is committed To following after Jesus Christ To be more like him To think like him To act like him To love like him That says Tozer Is what it means To live The Crucified Life And that's the confession
[20:08] Of the Christian I am crucified With Christ I am crucified With Christ In other words My old life As an unconverted friend My old self The old man In me When I enjoyed sin And I boasted In sin And self And I gloried In all the pleasures Of this world That man Is dead The old man Is dead That's what Paul says 2 Corinthians 5 17 The old has passed away All has become New Paul writes If anyone Is in Christ He or she Is a new creation You are a Christian Friend The old has passed away You are no longer The unconverted Friend Because all has become New My Christian friend Your life Is to live
[21:09] A crucified life My Christian friend Your life Is to live A crucified Life Because the confession Of a Christian Is I am crucified I am crucified With Christ Then secondly The confession Of a Christian Is I am connected So I am crucified And I am connected I am connected Paul says I am crucified With Christ Nevertheless I live Yet not I But Christ Lives In me Christ Lives In me This second statement Of the Christian's Confession of faith It shows us And it draws our attention To union With Christ Where we are united To Jesus Christ We are in union With Christ And Paul teaches Us that through Our union With Christ We receive Every spiritual
[22:10] Blessing In heavenly Places Paul he loves This concept Of union With Christ He writes about It in almost Every letter And he explains And he emphasizes How precious Our salvation Really is Because of our Union With Christ And Paul repeatedly Emphasizes our union With Christ Because he says That we are In Christ Or we are With Christ So We are talking There about 2 Corinthians 5 Verse 17 But if anyone Is in Christ He is a new creation The old has passed away All has become new So Paul is talking About our union With Christ When we are in Christ We are a new creation Then he says There in verse 20 I am crucified With Christ We are in union With Christ Paul repeatedly says That we are in Christ We are with Christ We are in Christ And we are with Christ
[23:10] And it all comes back To our union With Christ Where we are united To Jesus Christ By faith You know one theologian He put it this way He said Union with Christ Is the fountainhead From which Every spiritual blessing Flows to us As a Christian So there is repentance And faith And pardon And justification And adoption And sanctification And perseverance And the promise Of glorification Glorification It all flows to us Every spiritual blessing Flows to us Because of our union With Christ In many ways We are actually talking About this This morning In John 15 We were given The image And the illustration Of the vine tree And that when we are Engrafted When we are cut From the vine of Adam And engrafted Into the vine of Christ When we are abiding
[24:11] And believing And committing our life To the true vine Jesus Christ We are connected To the vine And when we are Connected to the vine There is life And there is growth There is faith And there is fruit And when we are Connected to the vine We are united To Jesus We are in union With Jesus And through our union With Jesus All the blessings And benefits Of salvation They fill us And they flow to us As the branches But as you know My Christian friend Our union with Christ It should cultivate Communion with Christ Our union with Christ Should cultivate Communion with Christ Because union And communion They go hand in hand Now cultivating communion With Christ Is very simply Cultivating fellowship
[25:13] With Christ And fellowship With other Christians And I say that Because the word Communion The word communion We hear about Communions all the time But the word communion It's from a Greek word That I love Koinonia I want to learn A Greek word Koinonia It's a beautiful word Because it means Communion Fellowship Sharing You imagine Being in a house Fellowship with people That's communion It's communion Fellowship Sharing Therefore our union And communion Our koinonia It's all about Fellowship With Christ And fellowship With other Christians And you know That's something We missed During lockdown Something Maybe we took For granted In the past But it's certainly Something we should Miss as Christians Our union And communion Our koinonia
[26:13] Our fellowship With Christ And our fellowship With other Christians Our communion With the Saviour And communion With the saints It's all about Sharing Koinonia Communion Fellowship Sharing And you know This is sometimes Where we get it A bit wrong Where we don't Share We're not Open as Christians We don't talk about Our struggles We don't share Our struggles Or our sins Or our sufferings Or our sorrows Or even our sicknesses We're not good at sharing But that's what We're called to do In our union And communion We're called To have fellowship To share To have this Koinonia We're to share it With the Saviour Yes But we're also To share it With the saints That we might Bear one another's Burdens And so Fulfill The law
[27:14] Of Christ We're to cultivate Koinonia And we're to do it Through the means Of grace Through the means Of grace You know In his brilliant book And I have to mention A book by J.C.
[27:29] Wyle The book Practical Religion Maybe you've read it Before If you haven't read it In a while Dig it out again My good friend J.C. Wyle Explains what is meant By the means of grace And Wyle says He says Do you know anything Of enjoying the means Of grace And when I speak Of the means of grace He says I have in mind Five principal things Bible reading Private prayer Public worship The Lord's day And the Lord's supper Bear the means Says Wyle That God has graciously Appointed In order to Communicate Grace to our heart Through the work Of the Holy Spirit Therefore Through our hanging With Christ Through our connection To Christ We should cultivate We should cultivate Communion By the means Of grace Because Reading the Bible Prayer Public worship Enjoying the Sabbath
[28:30] And enjoying the Lord's supper They are the means Of grace They are the staple diet Of the Christian friend So if you are a Christian friend This is what you should enjoy This is your privilege Reading the Bible Prayer Public worship Enjoying the Sabbath And enjoying the Lord's supper And that's even why We call it When we sit at the Lord's table We call it Communion Or we call it A communion season Because it's a means Of grace It's a place Where we enjoy And we experience That Koinonia That fellowship That sharing Where we are Sharing With the Saviour And also sharing With the saints And you know That's what Paul is Confessing here He says I'm crucified With Christ But I'm also Connected To Christ And because
[29:30] I'm connected To Christ It's no longer I who live But Christ Lives In me Christ Lives In me But maybe You're thinking This evening Well How do I know If Christ Lives in me I struggle With assurance I'm not sure If I'm connected To Christ How can I be sure If I'm connected To Christ How can I have This assurance That I'm in union With Christ How do I know I've been Engrafted into the vine And connected To Christ How do I know I've got this Koinonia This communion And fellowship With Christ Well there's one word For it Desire Desire Desire You think about Your desires My Christian friend When Christ Lives in you There's a desire To read the Bible Which wasn't There before
[30:30] When Christ Lives in you There's a desire To pray Earnestly Not out of form Or fashion But to pray Earnestly And sincerely A desire That wasn't There before When Christ Lives in you There's a desire To be in church To be under God's word Which wasn't There before When Christ Lives in you There's a desire To worship God And even To witness For God Which wasn't There before When Christ Lives in you There's a desire To listen To God's word And to learn From God's word And to love God's people A desire That wasn't There Before And so If you're Asking yourself Well How do I know How can I be sure You have to think Well where did This desire Come from Why do I have This desire In my heart If Christ Didn't live In me And the fact
[31:32] That you have This desire Should be Evidence to you It might be Evidence to other People around you But it should be Evidence to you And even an Example to you That Christ Lives in you By the work Of his Holy Spirit He lives In you Christ lives In me That's your Confession of faith Christ lives In me But you know What I love About this This union With Christ Our koinonia Our fellowship Our sharing Our connection To Jesus Do you know What I love About it Is that we can Say as A Christian Friend this Evening Because he Lives in me He's always With me Because he Lives in me He's always With me He's with me Wherever I Go And whatever I'm doing He's with me In my Worship Here Or in my Worship at Home He's with me
[32:34] In my Workplace He's with me In my Witness He's with me When I When I Encounter When I Experience Sin Or sickness Or suffering Or separation Or sorrow He's with me Because he Lives in me He's with me Because he Lives in me In fact That's his Promise I will never Leave you And I will Never forsake you And my Christian friend Christ will Never leave you And he'll never Forsake you Because he Lives in you He lives in you This is the Glory of the Gospel This is the Beauty of Salvation Christ lives In you As Paul says Christ in you The hope of Glory Christ in you The hope of Glory And you know Was it not the Hymn writer who Said because he Lives I can face Tomorrow Because he Lives All fear is Gone Because I Know he Holds the Future Life is Worth the
[33:34] Living Just because He lives And he Lives In me Christ lives In me I know my Christian friend Life is worth The living Because you Can say Tonight It's no Longer I Who live But Christ Lives in Me Christ lives In me That's the Confession Of the Christian And so Your confession Tonight my Christian friend Is I am Crucified I am Connected And lastly I am Confident I am Crucified Connected And confident Paul says in Verse 20 I am Crucified With Christ Nevertheless I live Yet not I But Christ Lives In me And the Life which I now Live in the Flesh I live By the Faith Of the Son of God Who Loved Me And gave Himself For me You know when
[34:34] Paul makes This confession As a Christian When he Says I Am Confident He wants To make Clear that His Confidence Is not Self Confidence It's not Even Self Assurance It's not Self Righteousness Of course There was a Day in Paul's Life When he Was Self Confident And Self Assured And Self Righteous But when Paul Discovered The Grace Of God And The Glory Of The Cross He Realised That he Had no Confidence In Self He Had no Confidence No Boast In Self Except In Jesus Christ And Him Crucified I know This Confession Of Faith That Paul Makes Here It Was Particularly Relevant To The Galatians We See That Even From The Opening Verses Of Chapter Three Because The Galatian Churches They Were Being Heavily Influenced By False Teaching Where It Was Being Insisted Upon Them And They Were Being Influenced By The Need To Do Something More Than
[35:36] Just Have Jesus They Were Being Told That They Need Jesus Plus Jesus Plus So They Were Being Told Jesus Plus Knowledge Jesus Plus Good Works Jesus Plus Law Keeping Jesus Plus Circumcision And It Was All Being Laid Upon Them Jesus Plus Jesus Plus Jesus Plus And It Was Influencing Them And Infecting Them As Christians And Because Of That It Made Them Feel Inferior And Inadequate As Christians To The Point That They Felt That They Had Lost Or Lacked Something In Their Christianity But They're Not Good Enough They're Not Up There With All The Other Christians And The Result Was That The Galatian Christians They Doubted Their Christianity And They Despaired Of Salvation All Together They Questioned The Cross They Questioned The Efficacy And The Efficiency Of The Cross Of Jesus Christ Paul
[36:37] Says Right At The Beginning Of Chapter Three He Says All Foolish Galatians Who Have Bewitched You That You Should Not Obey The Truth Before Whose Eyes Jesus Christ Have Been Evidently Set For As Crucified Among You Paul Says To Them You've Heard The Gospel You Know About The Grace Of God And The Glory Of The Cross You Know That Your Confidence Is Not In Self It's Not In God's Law Or In Your Righteousness Or In Your Good Works Or What You Do Or How You Conduct Yourself As A Christian You Know That Your Salvation Isn't Based Upon Anything That You Have Done To Save Yourself Oh Foolish Galatians He Says The Message Of The Cross Is Not A Message Of Jesus Plus No It's A Message Of Jesus Christ And Jesus Christ
[37:37] Alone Jesus Christ And Jesus Christ Alone Therefore Your Confidence Says Paul Your Confidence Is That You've Been Saved By Grace Alone Through Faith Alone In Christ Alone And It's All To The Glory Of God Alone And Paul Says That's Where My Confidence Is My Confidence Is Not In Myself Or What I'm Doing Or How I Am It's Not Even In How Much Time I Spend Reading The Bible Or How Many Times A Day I Pray Or How Much I Give It's Nothing To Do With That My Confidence Is In Christ And In Christ Alone Because It's Through The Cross Says Paul That I Am Crucified I Am Connected And I Confident Paul Says The Life That I Now Live In The Flesh I Live By Faith
[38:38] In The Son Of God Who Loved Me And Gave Himself For Me My Christian Friend That's Where Your Confidence Is Your Confidence Is In Jesus Christ And Jesus Christ Alone I Love Those Words Where The Hymn Witer Says My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less Than Jesus Blood And Righteousness I Dare Not Trust The Sweetest Frame But Holy Lean On Jesus Name On Christ The Solid Rock I Stand All Other Ground Is Sinking Sand My Christian Friend This Is Your Confession As A Christian But In Christ Through Your Union With Christ You Have A New Identity Your Identity Is That You Are In Christ You Are A Christian And You Are A Christian Because As
[39:38] Paul Teaches Us Here You Went To The Cross With Christ You Were Crucified With Christ Your Sin And Your Shame Were Knared To The Cross With Christ You Died With Christ You Were Buried With Christ You Came Out Of The Tomb With Christ You Been Waged To The Newness Of Life With Christ And Now Your Identity Is That You Are In Christ Christ Lives In Me You're A Christian Are You A Christian That's A Question We Have To All Ask Ourselves Isn't It Am I A Christian And For The Unconverted Friend It's Probably The Hardest Thing To Say To Actually Confess I Am A Christian Christ Lives In Me But You Know The Confession Of A
[40:38] Christian As Paul Reminds Us Here Is I Am Crucified I Am Connected I Am Confident Not In Myself But In Christ In Christ Alone And Of Course Being A Christian Doesn't Mean That You're Perfect Certainly Not Far From It But My Christian Friend The Glory Of The Gospel Is That When We Take That Step Of Faith When We Commit Our Life To Jesus Christ When We Confess Him As Lord And Saviour The Good Work Has Began And He Promises To Bring It On To Completion At The Day Of Jesus Christ Or As John Newton Famously Said I'm Not What I Ought To Be I'm Not What I Want To Be I'm Not What I Hope To Be In Another World But Still I'm Not What I Once Used To Be And By The Grace Of God I Am What I Am By
[41:38] The Grace Of God I Am What I Am So What Are You What Are You My Friend Are You My Unconverted Friend Or Are You My Christian Friend I'd Love To Ask You At The Door What Are You I Won't Though But The Thing Is You Know Who You Are You Know Which Camp You're In As We've Said Throughout Today You Know What Side Of The Fence You're On You Know Where You Stand With Jesus If You're My Unconverted Friend The Command Of Jesus Is Clear It's As Clear As A.B.C.
[42:31] Abide In Me Believe On Me Commit To Me But If You're My Christian Friend Your Confession Of Faith Is Clear I Am Crucified I Am Connected I Am Confident In Christ And In Christ Alone So What Are You Are You My Unconverted Friend Or Are You My Christian Friend What Are You May May May The Lord Bless These Thoughts To Us Let Us Pray O Lord Our Gracious God We Give Thanks To The For The Confidence That We Can Have In Thy Word A Word That Is Sure And Steadfast A Word That Is Even The Anchor Of Our Soul But We Thank The That It Is Not Only The Word Written That We Must Trust In But
[43:32] Also The Word That Became Flesh And Dwelt Among Us O Lord Our Prayer is This Evening And Even In The Week There Lies Ahead That We Might Behold His Glory The Glory Is Of The Only Begotten Of The Father Full Of Grace And Truth Lord Speak to Us That We Would Not Be An Unconverted Friend Any Longer But That We Might Nail Our Colors To The Mast And Come Out Confessing That We Belong To Jesus That My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less Than Jesus Blood And Righteousness I Do Not Trust The Sweetest Frame But Holy Lean On Jesus Name That In Christ The Solid Walk I Stand That All Other ground Is Sinking Sand Bless Lord Thy People Here Continue With Them Watch Over Them Bless Them We Pray That Thou Would Guide Them And
[44:32] Remind Them And We Assure Them That Goodness And Mercy Will Follow Them All The Days Of Their Life And That In God's House Forever More Their Dwelling Place Shall Be Do Us Good And We Ask For We Ask It In Jesus Name And For His Sake Amen
