[0:00] Lord today. We can sing in Sing Psalms. Sing Psalms, Psalm 139a. That's on page 180. So Sing Psalms, Psalm 139 on page 180. Well, page 181. We're singing verses 14 down to verse 18. [2:35] O God, how precious are your thoughts?
[2:52] I scound them from afar, and as I seek to grasp them all, and I am blessed in awe, when I took down the name of thee, more than the claims of sound.
[3:36] When I am with you, I am with you, still sit within your arms.
[3:56] Let's join together in a word of prayer. Let's pray. Lord, we thank you for this time together today. We thank you that we can come together to sing together, to worship you.
[4:10] Later on, we come together to read from the Bible, to read your word, and to hear a small bit about how amazing our Saviour is, about what he has done for us, about who he is, that he is the Saviour who loved his people so much, he came into this world, and he lived a life that was perfect.
[4:32] He did nothing wrong, and he said nothing wrong, and he thought nothing wrong. For all the years of his life, he lived that perfect life, doing everything he was supposed to do.
[4:45] And finally, he died on the cross for us. And that today we remember that we have a Saviour who is not dead, but a Saviour who rose again.
[4:58] Help us then for this short time together to have our hearts and our minds set on that Saviour, our risen Lord, at your right hand just now, who is making intercession for us, who is in prayer for us, a Saviour who cares for us, who sees us, who knows us.
[5:18] We pray just now for this opportunity, this chance to come together as brothers and sisters and as friends, this short time of worship. We understand that we come to this place with many worries, many stresses, many strains and many burdens.
[5:35] We pray just now for all the hard situations of this past week, all the things which have caused us to stop, all the situations which have been difficult to get through.
[5:47] We pray just now for health worries, physical health worries, as we wait for appointments and phone calls. We pray just now for mental health worries, as some perhaps go through days that are hard and days that are dark.
[6:03] We pray just now for family worries and financial worries and work worries. Lord, you know the full list of worries that we bring to this place. We pray just now, Lord, especially for this short time together today, you'd help us to listen to your word, and help us to understand that we come to a place where you are present, not because of a building.
[6:26] You are present here because your people are here worshipping you, and your word tells us where your people are, that there you have made your home in and with us.
[6:36] And because that's true, we know for certain that you are here today. We thank you for this opportunity. We pray just now as your people, those here today who are your sons and daughters, who know and who love you, help us this day to listen to your word.
[6:55] As we come together for a shorter service, for a focused service, we still come alongside a living word. And perhaps today we might try and word things in an easier way.
[7:08] We understand and we confess that every one of us, from the most experienced Christian here, to the newest, to the youngest, to the oldest, we all need to be reminded of the simple gospel again and again.
[7:20] Help us never to think we have graduated away from the simple gospel. For we have a saviour who saw us, a saviour who loved us, a saviour who gave himself for us, a saviour who now lives forever, who one day call us home to himself.
[7:41] We pray just now, not just for ourselves, we pray just now for the wider village, we pray just now for North Tulsa. We thank you for placing us here. We pray just now for those who would love to be here today, those who would long to be here, but through illness and through age, and for other various reasons, cannot gather with us as often as they'd wish to.
[8:04] We ask today you'd give them a special sense of your presence. They would know that we remember them, that we care for them. We pray just now also for those who are going through times of grief.
[8:15] We pray just now for even those connected to our village in recent days, who have laid to rest one venue. We pray for these families and those connected, Lord, those who are mourning.
[8:27] We pray for those of our own number here, who are mourning losses, recent, but also losses of months and years ago. As time passes, and as anniversaries come and go, we understand the pain remains.
[8:42] I pray, Lord, they be comforted. You go alongside them. I pray just now, Lord, for the many in our village who do not pray for themselves, who have never prayed for themselves, who have no understanding and no word of praying for themselves, who don't know the danger they are in, who have never heard the gospel.
[9:05] We pray for them. We pray, Lord, you would show yourself to them. We pray, as we have heard recently, that you would use us as witnesses. Use us as these beacons on a hill, as torches, as flames, to show the way to you.
[9:22] We pray for all we discussed last Thursday evening, as we laid out our hopes and our plans of the coming year, the coming few years. We ask you bless these plans.
[9:34] We ask you be with us, as we seek to carry them out for your glory. We ask for a good response to these many ideas and these many plans, that your name would be glorified from the Glen to Gary, that across this village, we'd see more and more coming to hear the good news, coming to understand, perhaps the first time, that there is a saviour who has come to save all and any who come to him and ask for that salvation, all who fall before him, that he is able, and he indeed has done all that is necessary for salvation.
[10:10] As we pray for ourselves, we also remember, as we just said, our brothers and sisters today in Galashiels, we pray for that small gathering, that gathering that is committed to bringing the gospel to the border area.
[10:23] We pray for the vision of one day seeing a presbytery of the borders, with churches being planted all the way across that border, that great unchurched area of our nation where there are so few Christians and such little gospel witness.
[10:39] A prayer for Craig and his family, we ask you to support them and be with them. We pray as they pray for ten new people and ten new Christians to join with them.
[10:51] Lord, we ask that you would bring many to that gathering. We remember our brothers and sisters in China, we pray especially just now before Pastor John and his specific area of China.
[11:04] Lord, you know the details. We ask for him as he has just left prison after these many years on his own, these many years away from his family, these many years where he faced trying circumstances.
[11:17] We ask you to comfort him and give him a time of rest now. Pray for the wider gospel cause in China. We know there are many brothers and sisters in that nation that are currently in prison just for worshipping a saviour who they love.
[11:33] We ask you to be with them and encourage them that as the state seeks to imprison them, we know that nothing stops the gospel. Indeed, the gospel is flourishing in that nation and we're hearing the good news and the incredible news of many millions.
[11:50] Many millions of believers under the radar in that great country. Pray for our own country, Lord. Pray for our own nation. Pray for those in leadership over us, those in the council locally, those in Holyrood, those in Westminster.
[12:07] We pray, Lord, for wisdom for their decisions. We pray just now that we be a peaceable nation. We pray, Lord, for the prosperity of our nations. But ultimately, we do pray for the salvation of those who are leaders over us.
[12:20] Pray for the salvation of the first minister, the prime minister, the salvation of the king. We ask that we would come to know you and come to serve you and come to see that over them there is one who fully reigns and rules.
[12:33] We thank you just now especially for the boys and girls. We thank you for them coming to church week after week. We pray just now especially today that you'd bless them.
[12:45] We pray just now especially for our Sunday school teachers, those who work so hard all year preparing lessons and teaching the boys and the girls all about who you are, all about Jesus.
[12:56] Help us today to listen very carefully to the great things we're about to hear about Jesus, about who he is and the great hope we have in him. We ask the boys and the girls would be reminded that we love them, that we care for them, but more importantly than that, they would know that they have a saviour who has shown his great love to them by coming and living and dying and being raised up from the grave and now living forever, making constant intercession even for them.
[13:26] Help us in our words and our thoughts to have all things directed towards you today. We ask all of these things in and through and for Jesus. In his precious name's sake. Amen.
[13:39] Let's read in the Bible in John chapter 20. It's the book of John, the gospel of John chapter 20. That's on page 852 of the church Bibles.
[13:53] John chapter 20, page 852. John 20, page 852.
[14:10] We'll read from verse 1 all the way down to verse 21. Let's hear God's word together. Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.
[14:27] So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They've taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.
[14:39] So Peter went out with the other disciple, and they're going toward the tomb. Both of them were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter, and reached the tomb first.
[14:51] And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came following him, and went into the tomb.
[15:01] He saw the linen cloths lying there, and the face cloth, which had been on Jesus' head, not lying with linen cloths, but folded up in a place by itself.
[15:12] Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
[15:25] Then the disciples went back to their homes. But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept, she stooped to look into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head, and one at the feet.
[15:42] They said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? She said to them, They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him. Having said this, she turned around, and saw Jesus standing.
[15:55] But she did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you seeking? Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.
[16:11] Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned and said to him in Aramaic, Rabboni, which means teacher. Jesus said to her, Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.
[16:24] But go to my brothers and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, I have seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.
[16:39] On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked for the disciples, were for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them, and said to them, Peace be with you.
[16:50] When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. And the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, Peace be with you.
[17:01] As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you. Amen. We give praise to God for his holy and his perfect word.
[17:12] And sing one more time, this time from the Scottish Psalter and Psalm 100. Psalm 100 in the Scottish Psalter. This is Psalm all about singing to God, and praising God for how good he is.
[17:30] Psalm 100. That's on page 362.
[17:42] All people that on earth do dwell, sing to the Lord with cheerful voice. Him serve with mirth as praise forth tell. Come ye before him and rejoice.
[17:54] Psalm 100. The whole psalm to God's praise. O people that on earth do dwell, sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.
[18:17] May him serve with mirth as praise for tell. Come ye before him and rejoice.
[18:33] Know that the Lord is hard in it, with my humility get as me.
[18:52] We are his own, he does not see, I'm for his ship, he does not see.
[19:10] Oh, enter in his gates with grace, how coached with joy his courts unto.
[19:28] Praise God and bless his name always, for his blessing is all to you.
[19:47] Caught by the Lord our God is good, his mercy is forever true.
[20:05] It is to have a master, he is too, and shall promise to it, he is too.
[20:28] Okay, boys and girls, mums and dads, guys and granddads, I know usually we come down and we talk at the front. So I won't ask any questions today. It's quite scary, isn't it, talking in a big, big church when you're far away.
[20:42] But if you want to help, please do just shout some answers out. If not, it's okay. And next week we'll be back down as normal. Okay, so I've got four objects, four things.
[20:55] Last time we did this, it was Christmas time, wasn't it? And we had the story of Christmas. If you remember, I scared the elders a wee bit by lighting a fire in the pulpit.
[21:06] And we had smoke and we had bells and we had lots of things going on. It's four very safe objects today. Okay, four very easy ones. And we're looking at John chapter 20.
[21:18] So maybe our Bible's open. We'll look again and again. The next wee while, I'll read some verses together. Just four objects that help remind us and help tell us the story of what happened to Jesus.
[21:33] The first object we read about as Mary and the disciples come to see the tomb. First one. On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene, one of Jesus' friends, came to the tomb early.
[21:48] It's still dark. And what did she see? She saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. The stone is gone.
[21:58] Now, I'll watch and drop it on Jim Bortle. This stone is... What kind of stone do you think covered the tomb?
[22:09] Do you think it's a stone this size? Of course not. How big do you think the stone that covered Jesus' tomb was? We kind of know. Was it that size?
[22:19] No, that's silly, isn't it? Was it that size? Even bigger. Was it the size, maybe, of this pulpit? Maybe. We think, and we kind of know, it probably weighed the same as a big pickup truck.
[22:37] A big wagon. I know some mums and dads drive some big pickup trucks. Imagine a big car, but it's a big rock. It's really heavy. You can't move that at all.
[22:47] Emma and I have found this nice rock on a beach just down there. This big stone, they make it specially. And the tomb is here. And they roll this big heavy stone.
[22:58] It takes three or four or five people. And they roll this big, huge stone. And it stays there. And it's made to never move. It's made to stay there and to stop and to close up the door of the tomb.
[23:12] So Mary, Jesus' friend, she comes. It's really early in the morning. She is so sad. She's just seen Jesus being killed and seeing him die on the cross. And she's so sad.
[23:23] So she wants to come and to spend time with him. And she sees this big, huge, heavy stone, which no one can really move. It's been moved.
[23:33] The stone's gone. She's there to do something very special. She's there to look after Jesus' body.
[23:45] To put nice smelling oils on him. And to make sure he looks his best. He's her friend. And her friend has died. And she's heartbroken.
[23:58] We see that again and again. She's crying. She's weeping. She's sad. And she's even more sad now because she sees the stone is gone.
[24:09] The place where Jesus' body is safe, it's open. And even more, we find out somewhere else in the Bible that this tomb is actually being guarded by Roman soldiers with their armor and their swords and their spears.
[24:24] The tomb is being guarded and the guards are gone too. And she can't understand where Jesus has gone. The stone is there and the stone has been moved away.
[24:41] What is there instead of the stone? So Jesus' other friends, the disciples, they come. And what do they find in the tomb?
[24:52] Verse 5 and verse 6. They come running. John and Peter come running towards the tomb. Verse 5. And stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there.
[25:06] So John and Peter, they run really fast to the tomb. Mary's told them there's no way there. They run fast and they see. Empty tomb. The stone's moved away.
[25:18] And they see on the floor cloth. Now, this is not a linen cloth. This is a face towel. Imagine, boys and girls. Try very hard to imagine.
[25:28] This is a huge, big, long, winding bit of cloth. A big tablecloth, but even longer. And it goes round and round and round the body.
[25:40] Imagine this. This doesn't really cover my arm. But imagine this is wrapped all the way around and around me. And then a special cloth then on top and around my head.
[25:52] And that's how they buried people. It's a very special way of doing it. A very nice way of doing it. And the disciples come in. Jesus' friends come in. And they find the cloth on the floor.
[26:04] Lying there. They find no body. They find the tomb is open. And they find the cloth just lying around. And we see we find one bit of cloth.
[26:15] The cloth that was on his face. Not just lying on the ground. They find that folded very neatly. Folded very perfectly. Better than I'm doing just now.
[26:26] On a bit elsewhere in the tomb. There's a cloth on the floor. And there's one part of the cloth. That's been folded neatly and nicely. In the tomb.
[26:39] What does that tell us? Why does the Bible tell us that? What does that mean for us? What it tells us. That his body. We've been wrapped in these clothes.
[26:50] He's wrapped in these big cloths. His body is now gone. The cloths are left behind. And the question is. Where is his body?
[27:02] Where is Jesus? You imagine how confused these men are. These friends are. Their friend has just been killed. They saw him die.
[27:13] And they're all so sad. And Mary now sees. The stone is rolled away. The tomb is empty. His other friends now see. All the cloths which once covered him.
[27:24] Are now lying on the floor. They go away. And Mary won't leave. Mary is too sad to leave.
[27:35] And we see Mary again. Look at verse 14. Having said. Well verse 13 sorry.
[27:46] There's angels speaking to Mary. And they ask her why she's weeping. And she's so sad. She is not even shocked. If we saw angels. We'd be saying. Whoa. There's angels. We'd say something.
[27:57] She's so sad. She doesn't care. She doesn't care what's happening. She's so sad. And she says. They've moved Jesus. They've taken away my Lord. They've taken away my friend.
[28:08] And I don't know where he is. She turns around. And she's a man standing behind her. And you can imagine. She's on the ground. And she's sad. And she's crying. And she sees someone standing there.
[28:20] And who does she think he is? Who does she think he is? It says here. She thought he was the gardener. Now where the tomb is. It wasn't just.
[28:30] It's not like our graveyard. In these days. There are tombs in rock faces. And the area was kept. Like our graveyard here. Kept nice and clean and tidy.
[28:42] And the same thing in Jesus' day. There was a gardener. To look after the ground. And make sure that the tombs. Were kept nice and clean. And she thinks he is what?
[28:54] The gardener. She thinks he is the gardener. And she says to him. Help. If you've taken my friend. If you've taken my Lord. If you've taken Jesus. Then tell us where he is.
[29:07] And we'll say a wee bit more. In a few minutes. But sometimes. Like Mary. Boys and girls. And mums and dads.
[29:18] And grandas and grandas. Everyone else. Sometimes. Like Mary. We think Jesus. Is nowhere near. We think he's forgotten all about us. Sometimes.
[29:28] Even Christians. We think Jesus. Has abandoned us. And at times. When we feel so sad. And so lonely. Like Mary feels. We think Jesus.
[29:39] Doesn't care anymore. And when Jesus. When Mary is crying. And saying. And sad. Where Jesus is. Look where Jesus actually is.
[29:52] He's right. Behind her. Sometimes. We think Jesus is far away. It's at these times. The Bible tells us. And shows us. That Jesus is right beside us.
[30:04] He has never. Ever. Left us. Boys and girls. The tomb is empty. The clothes are lying there. Why?
[30:15] Because Jesus. Is. Alive. He died on the cross. We know that. But he's brought back to life. He came back to life.
[30:27] Because he said he would. And because he said he would. And because he's brought back to life. That is good news. When we come to church. And go to Sunday school. When we spend time together.
[30:38] When we sing from the Bible. When we pray together. When we read together. We are singing to. And praying to. And reading about.
[30:49] A real Jesus. A real saviour. Who's alive. Who hears us. Who cares what we do. Who cares. About what we sing.
[31:01] And what we say. Who cares about what you learn. In Sunday school. He does care. Boys and girls. Mums and dads. He's a living saviour. So of course.
[31:12] Mary turns around. And she realises. It's Jesus. Her friend. It's Jesus. Her Lord. Speaking to her. And you can see. The joy in her voice. And she runs. And tells.
[31:22] The other disciples. Now. We know. From somewhere else. In the Bible. That they perhaps. Don't believe her. Straight away. They think. She's perhaps not. They don't think.
[31:34] She's lying. But they think. She's confused. And fair enough. Boys and girls. Mums and dads. If you heard. The same thing. That this man. Who was dead. Is now alive. You think.
[31:44] I don't think. That's true. So they're upstairs. And see. They're alone. And the disciples. Jesus' friends. Are scared. And they've locked the door. And they're all together.
[31:55] In a room. And Jesus. Appears in front of them. And he's there. And he shows them. He is real. We see somewhere else. He shows them.
[32:06] He lets them touch him. He eats some food. He is very real. And he's very much there. And Jesus speaks so kindly. And he says to his friends.
[32:17] What does he say to them? In verse 21. Peace be with you. That perhaps sounds strange to us. But really. For Jesus. That's just him saying. I'm here.
[32:28] Don't be scared. It's okay. Peace be with you. As the father has sent me. Even so. I am sending you. Now this last object. The fourth object.
[32:39] I forgot it in the house. And I've been trying. The last five minutes. Whilst we're singing. To make one. In the pulpit. It's very hard. And all I found. Was some paper. I should have emptied ages ago.
[32:50] Pretend that's a paper airplane. It's very hard to make it. When you're trying to do it. With one hand. I can do quite well. That's one hand. I didn't use to make that. I won't throw it. Because I might blind. One of the elders. That's a paper airplane. Pretend it is.
[33:01] It looks. It wouldn't fly very far. Pretend it is. What's that remind us about. I wonder. From here. Where Jesus says. As the father has sent me.
[33:12] He says to his friends. To those who love him. I am sending you. Boys and girls. Never think. You're too young.
[33:24] For Jesus. To love you. And. For Jesus to send you. Now. I might feel very old. I might look very old.
[33:34] I'm only 30. I'm only 30. And I became a Christian. When I was closer to your age. I was 12 or 13. When I was saved. I was very young.
[33:45] I was very scared. And I didn't know too much. And you guys have shown me every week. That you guys know a lot more about Jesus. Than I did when I was saved. But just to say.
[33:56] Don't think you're too young. Jesus is able. To say to you. I am sending you. Just as a father has sent me. Because Jesus is alive.
[34:07] He says. I am sending you. I can. Use you. You are important to me. You are precious. To me. So. The four objects. I have a few minutes then.
[34:19] To speak to the adults. Before we go. Okay. First object. A big huge heavy stone. The tomb. Is open. And then the ground.
[34:29] They saw all the cloth. Lying out. Thrown across the ground. The body isn't there. Then we see where the body is. He is there.
[34:42] Because he is alive. And sometimes like Mary. We get confused. And we think Jesus doesn't care. But actually Jesus. Is always with us.
[34:53] He is always with those. Who love him. And who care about him. And if we love Jesus. Even when times are scary. And times are sad. He promises. He is always there.
[35:05] Right beside us. And we are told. If we love him. And if we want to be with him. That he says. He is sending us.
[35:16] He sends us. Boys and girls. Who are never too young. Boys and girls. You guys listen so well every week. You always listen well. That's the longest children's talk.
[35:26] You've ever heard from me. And you listen so well. And here's a five minute test. To see if mums and dads. And grandads. Listen so well. Sometimes.
[35:37] I don't think they do. I think they forget. I can see them up here. This is for everyone. Just two minutes before we stop. Finish by quarter two. That's the goal. We have said to the boys and girls.
[35:51] That there is evidence. Of an open tomb. There is evidence of an empty tomb. There is evidence of a living saviour.
[36:03] There is a historian. Dale Allison. And he is one of many. But he says this. About the resurrection. Typical encounters. Typical encounters.
[36:15] With the recently deceased. Do not issue in claims. About an empty tomb. Nor do they lead. To the founding of a new religion.
[36:26] And they certainly. Do not typically eat. And drink. And they are not seen. By crowds. Of up to 500 people. Quite simply. There is evidence.
[36:38] Factual. Evidence. Just to say. I forgot to say. This evening. We have a fellowship. Supposing. You don't normally come to evening service. First of all. You're always welcome to come to evening service.
[36:51] Please. Just come along. And this evening especially. We have a fellowship. Afterwards. Where Neil. Will be sharing with us. Some of his story. I won't put him on his spot. Just now. I won't stress him out.
[37:02] Before this evening. But Neil's a lawyer. He's. I mean. I won't. I won't. I won't embarrass him. But Neil's a very accomplished. Lawyer. In various many ways.
[37:12] And Neil deals in evidence. The Bible isn't about blind faith. It's about real. Based. Factual faith.
[37:23] And there's evidence of an empty tomb. There's evidence of a living saviour. There was an empty grave. There was a stone rolled away. There were hundreds of witnesses of a living Jesus.
[37:37] There is evidence upon evidence. Of a loving saviour. Who was raised from the dead. And our closing thought is. That can't just remain.
[37:48] Bare fact for you. You can believe all of that. But what does that actually mean for you? You can believe Jesus is alive. You can believe. He was raised again from the dead.
[37:59] You can believe even. He is God. But what does that actually mean? Unless you actually love him. And want to serve him. And want him to be your Lord.
[38:10] And your saviour. Facts. And believing in facts. Don't save anybody. Coming to Jesus. And trusting in him. As your saviour. Still needs to happen.
[38:22] But there is evidence. And boys and girls. You listen so well. And so well. I think. If my maths is right. There should be enough. Wee eggs at the back door.
[38:32] I'll perhaps give them to mums and dads first. In case you scoff them before lunch. But there should be enough eggs for everyone. If not. Then Emma and I can have some. Good pudding for us today. For us and Neil.
[38:44] Please just wait for a second. And I'll go back to work when we're finished. And we'll get some eggs given out. Let's pray. Before we come to a close. Lord thank you. For our time together today.
[38:54] Thank you for your bible. Your living word. Where you tell us. And you've told us today. And reminded us. That we have a saviour who is alive. A saviour who is at this very moment.
[39:06] Who is there. Who sees us. Who knows us. He did not remain dead. He did not remain in the grave. But life was given to him.
[39:18] And proving to us. And proving to everyone who saw and who saw. Who he was. Proving to us. That all he said about himself was true. That all the promises he made were true.
[39:31] That he is truly Jesus. He is truly the son of God. He is truly the saviour. And because that is true. He promises.
[39:42] That all who believe in him. Will have their sins forgiven. That all who follow him. And trust in him. Will know full forgiveness. Will know peace. Will have everlasting life.
[39:54] We come to a saviour. Who we trust. Who we believe. And who we hope. In fully. We thank you once more. For the boys and the girls. We ask that this short time together.
[40:04] Will be a blessing to them. We pray the same. For mums and dads. And grandkids and grandkids. And great grannies. And great granddads. And everyone else here. Who knows. And who loves. And who cares for the boys and the girls.
[40:16] And everyone at home. Who knows. And who loves. And who cares. For the boys and the girls. We ask you bless us. And bring us into a saving hope. And a saving knowledge of Jesus. Who loved himself.
[40:27] Who loved us. And who gave himself. For us. Let's call these things. In and through. And. In his precious and glorious name. Amen.
[40:37] We can close with a psalm. I know the boys and the girls. Were singing a lot last year. And I've learned a lot. Sing Sam's Psalm 23.
[40:50] Sing Sam's Psalm 23. That's on page 28.
[41:04] Of our church Bibles. Sing Sam's Psalm 23. On page 28. The Lord is my shepherd. No want shall I know.
[41:15] He makes me lie down. Where the green pastures grow. He leads me to rest. With the calm waters flow. Psalm 23. On page 28. To God's glory.
[41:25] Amen. The Lord is my shepherd. No want shall. He leads me to rest.
[41:36] He leads me to rest. Where the calm waters flow.
[41:53] My wandering steps he brings back to his way. Then saves us all righteousness.
[42:07] Make him be stayed. And then he has done this great name to despair. He leads me to despair.
[42:20] Though I walk in death's valley. Where darkness is near. Because you are when men.
[42:33] No evil I fear. Your rod and your staff. bring me comfort and cheer.
[42:47] In the sight of my enemies I'll take a new step. The eye of rejoicing give more on my head.
[43:04] My God, O world's and I'm graciously fair. George, your covenant, mercy and his, will follow with us within all of my ways.
[43:31] I will tell in heaven the house of the Lord Almighty. With the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you now and forevermore.
[43:50] Amen.
