Our Grace Period

[0:00] I didn't put a seat out because I didn't know if you want to get out front or come back up here and preach to you. Praise the Lord. I love Him today.

[0:12] I gotta admit I'm scared to death. That just means He's gotta do it. I want y'all to hear what He's got to say, not what I got to say. What I got to say ain't worth two cents.

[0:24] But what He's got to say, you can't put a price on it. I just love Him tonight. I love Him. He's did so much. I was telling somebody I got two birthdays this month.

[0:37] I'll be a year old. That's the one that counts. And I'll be 25 the day after that. 16th of this month. And I just, I love Him tonight. You know, tonight I want you to turn to Ecclesiastes chapter 3 and verse 1.

[0:54] I'm going to read a couple verses in there. And he's just awesome. I can't say enough about him. Let me just tell you some of the things he's did in the last year.

[1:09] It started January 15th. The year 2002. My Aunt Connie, she convinced me to go to this little 12-step meeting.

[1:22] It was 12 steps to freedom through Christ. I said, you know, at that time I had a little thing against Riverside because I knew at one time I was going to have to come back here.

[1:33] You know. So I went with her. I didn't want to go. She said, but you've been promising me. You've been promising me for months that you're going to go to this thing. See, look, you done got yourself locked up.

[1:45] You done got yourself in trouble. What are you going to do now? So I got up and I reluctantly went. Not expecting anything to happen. Just like I was going to go to that, you know, when it was over.

[1:57] I was already planning on going out and getting a buzz. I got there. I started hearing these people talk how God delivered them and how, you know, this wasn't like AA or NA because they believed in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

[2:11] And that was who set us free. Not some higher power. He is the higher power, but he's the highest power. And they started talking about that. And then Connie said, Connie kind of put me on the spot.

[2:24] Leave it to my family. I love them. I do. I wouldn't trade them for anybody. Believe it to my family. They put me on the spot. This preacher, he said, well, you know, do you want to be set free?

[2:37] And by that time I was feeling a drawing from the Lord. And I know everybody had been praying for a long time for this to happen. And this day, God had appointed this day for this to happen.

[2:48] And when it happened, it changed my life. I didn't even know what happened. Because this preacher started praying for me. And then before you know it, he asked me a couple questions.

[3:00] And I said, yes. Before you know it, I wasn't even listening to what he was saying anymore or his prayer. I just knew I had to get on my face and fall down on the ground and repent for what I did. And I backslid.

[3:11] And I wanted God to come back. And I knew he could set me free. Right then I believed. True belief and true faith come in me. And grace came down. And he washed me in his blood.

[3:22] And he forgave me. And then I woke up the next morning. I went home. And Connie said, you know you're going to have to be different now. Everything's going to have to be different. You know?

[3:33] I'm not going to be able to hang around the same people. I'm even going to have to move from my mom's house. You know? I'm going to have to move in with Myanmar or something. You know? So the next morning I woke up. I went and looked in the mirror.

[3:45] And lo and behold, I did not know the man I was looking at. Because it was a new creature. It was a new creature in Christ. It was somebody who old things had passed away. Something real happened.

[3:56] I didn't get up the next morning wanting to go get high like normal. I mean, I had to have it. This was something that takes months to get off of. I had to have it.

[4:07] In the world, if you take the world's way, it takes months. And most people always go back to it over and over and over and over. Because I know a lot of them right now in this neighborhood. Friends of mine.

[4:18] A friend of mine just died last month. And I praise God for his grace that he gave me through that month. That he gave me plenty of grace. And it never stops with grace. It keeps getting better and better and better.

[4:30] And you know what? I love God. Because he put something in me. He put something real. And that's what I want to talk about tonight. What he put in me. The real. And what he put in y'all.

[4:40] He put it in everybody. Everybody that believes. That got something real. If you know when you went down to that altar. Then you got up a changed person. Then he put this in you. It's up to us to use it.

[4:54] And there's a point of time to everything. Ephesians chapter 3 verse 1 says, To everything there is a season. And a time to ever purpose under heaven.

[5:06] A time to be born. And a time to die. A time to plant. And a time to pluck up that which is planted. Now I'm going to take this slow and take it apart.

[5:16] Because the Lord showed me something. I got to reading this right there. I had to stop at a time to be born. Actually I stopped at, um, To everything there is a season. I couldn't even go no further than that.

[5:28] And I studied that for a little while. But right now I want to talk about a time to be born. Because we know there's a time. And there's a purpose of will of God. That he has a will for each one of us. That he has a master plan.

[5:41] That he finished before he even started it. He done been to the end. And back to the beginning. Before he ever set time into motion. See, God came in.

[5:52] That day. And he gave me experience. It means. That word born comes from yalad. A Hebrew word. It means something that is born.

[6:05] That is. That is created. Something that is created. Or born. And. See, we take the power out of words.

[6:19] I'm trying to move on here. But the Lord just keeps pushing me. Another way. We take the power out of words. We can read through this. I can read all that. That's a. They made a song about this.

[6:31] You know. This chapter right here. Not even the whole chapter. But. Just the first eight verses. They made a song about it. You know. And. But we took the power out of words.

[6:43] I think that was just another way. To discredit the word of God. To take the power out of the word of God. What it was originally meant to do. Which was. Every time you get in it. It was originally meant.

[6:53] That the fire of God come down. And burn some wood, hay and stubble out of your life. So that you could bear fruit for the kingdom of God. That's what it's meant to do. Every time you get in it. That you get up. That you start walking.

[7:04] You start being a doer of the word. Not just a hearer only. You know. And 95% of the church. They don't even hear it. They don't even hear what it's trying to say.

[7:17] I just love God today. And I know. I know who my redeemer is. I know who he is. Turn with me to.

[7:30] John. The book of John. Third chapter.

[7:46] I'm just going to read a couple verses. Get through the. The text here. You know. Let the Lord lead us. See where we go. I just praise him.

[7:57] Somebody praise him. Somebody just get radical for God. And praise him tonight. We've been dead all night. Let's get up. And let's praise him tonight. Because he wants to tell us something. He wants us to hear something tonight.

[8:09] He wants us to grow in him. And he wants us to. To develop in that growth. And to bear fruit. See there's two things. There's a thing called spiritual growth. Brother Van's been talking about this. And moral development.

[8:21] And it's an equal scale. It's on a set of scales. And it's got to stay equal. That means. When you grow. God prunes. And then you. Then the moral development side comes out.

[8:34] You start developing morally. Because before I got saved. January 15th of last year. I didn't have any morals. Now I got some morals. So evidently there's been some spiritual growth.

[8:45] And some moral development going on. And it's only by the Lord's spirit and his grace. Because that's what this life is. This time to be born. This is our grace period. If I could put any kind of a title to this.

[8:58] It would be our grace period. A time for everything. Spiritually and naturally. But we want to concentrate on the spiritual side tonight. Because we're in church. And it's all about spiritual things.

[9:10] And that's what I want to get more about. People say sometimes. That I know to say this about certain people. That they're so spiritually minded. They're no earthly good.

[9:21] What's wrong with that? I want to know what's wrong with that. I still haven't figured it out yet. Because those same people's running around worrying all the time. About this, that, and the other.

[9:32] You know? They're worrying about this. Making up stuff. To worry about. I've never seen nothing like it in my life. When that worry devil comes to my way.

[9:44] I say hey. I know whom I have believed. His name's Jesus. Jesus. He's my Lord. My Savior. My King. And my friend. And my friend.

[9:56] He's not just my King. He communes with me. He walks with me. He talks with me. He lives inside of me. He's my friend. It's Jesus. But in.

[10:07] John. St. John the third chapter. Verse three. And I'm going to skip down to five. And six. Jesus answered.

[10:19] He's talking to Nicodemus. Everybody knows this. He's talking to Nicodemus. About. Nicodemus says. I know you're a teacher. Come from God. And so Jesus said.

[10:30] He says. You know. What must I do? You know. And he says. Verily, verily. I say unto thee. Except a man be born again. He cannot see the kingdom of God.

[10:41] It means you can't even conceive it. Unless you get a birth. Unless a transformation happens. You know. Unless you are created. To being a new creature. In Christ.

[10:53] You have to. Change. There has to be something drastic. A 180 degree turnaround. You know. It's got to flip you up.

[11:03] Upside down and all around. And it changes. It changed my desires. You know. Changed my desires. I didn't want to do. The same things I did. You know. It changed them. I mean.

[11:13] I can't explain it any other way. I could have got up. I believe this. I could have got up. And started walking to one of my friends house. And I bet you. I would have ended up at Darrell's. Because God didn't change my friends.

[11:26] Before I even knew it. See. Because this was ordained of God. Way back. Before the plan was ever started. And everybody in here. Is ordained of God. Way back. Before.

[11:37] The plan was ever started. And he wants us to go up a little bit higher. In him. With my pastor. He's been teaching. On this 30, 60, 100 fold. You know. The world will tell you.

[11:48] You're nuts. And I include 95% of the church in the world. I do. Of the modern Christian church. I include that in the world. I ain't gonna go naming a bunch of names.

[12:03] But. Praising. I praise God. For discernment. I praise God. That he gave me a nose. A spiritual nose. I can smell what's foul. And I can smell what's real.

[12:14] You know. I know what's real. And this message. Of Jesus Christ. And him crucified. Is real. Of 30, 60, 100 fold. Is real. I stand here today. And I tell you.

[12:25] I've seen it in the Bible. It's real. God showed it to me in the spirit. It's real. I want the bride. I want the mark of the high calling of God. That's what I want. How about you brother man?

[12:37] That's what I want. That's what I want. I'm gonna keep going for it too. Striving for it. Praise God. To God be all the glory. To God be the glory.

[12:47] To God be the glory. Praise him. And then he goes on to say. Verily, verily. I say unto thee. Down in verse 5. Except a man be born of water. And of the spirit.

[12:58] He cannot enter into the kingdom of God. See Jesus has many. Many facets. On his word. And facet means faces. Or pictures.

[13:09] Or messages. Or however you want to look at it. You know. I'm just taking that from past. Head knowledge. Somewhere where I got it. I'm not taking it from a dictionary right now. But.

[13:21] You know. From what I know. My definition. Of that word. Is. Thus far in my life. And that's what facets mean. Many different perspectives. That you can look at something.

[13:31] You can go all the way around it. And each time. You're gonna see a different perspective. Or some people say. The word of God is in layers. You know. Which all. All are correct. See.

[13:41] That. That's. That's grace. There's another. There's another point of grace. That God has given us. That he can. That he can take. And you know what. I might be so hard headed.

[13:52] I don't want to see it your way. Or your way. Or your way. But you know what. He's gonna show me. That it's his way. See. He's gonna show me in his way. And we all might be seeing the same way.

[14:04] We just can't see it each other's way. Which is truly his way. It's kind of confusing to me. But. Hey. It's kind of like multitasking. Anybody that's ever been on a computer. Or knows anything about computers.

[14:15] You know that there's different shortcuts. Whenever you're clicking on the mouse. That you. You can go to one icon. And get to something. Or you can go to the start menu. And get to the same thing.

[14:25] There's many different ways to do the same thing. But it's all. Within a wall. And a boundary. And it's called the Bible. In this aspect. That I'm talking about tonight. The point of grace.

[14:36] That I was trying to bring out there. And I love God. It all comes out. It all comes out. See. I might not see it exactly right when you see it. But we might be talking about the same things.

[14:47] Sometimes. And then later on. I get home. I'm like. Hey. We was talking about the same thing. As soon as I try to step over in your shoes. And look at what you was trying to say. And then. Added what I was trying to say. That's how it works out.

[14:58] You know. God shows us all. But see. We all have to come to the knowledge. Of the Son of God. And Ephesians. Fourth chapter. Says. We all got to come to the knowledge.

[15:09] You know. We're all called to that. Of the Son of God. Of Jesus Christ. And who he is. See people say. Oh. I know Jesus. Well you know what. I don't know Jesus like I should.

[15:20] But I'm sure wanting to know him. Every day. More and more and more. Because the more I know him. The more I want to know him. You know. I love him. I love him. Praise him tonight. Praise him.

[15:31] But. He said. Of the water and the spirit. See. The water. We go down. We take you on his name. His headship.

[15:42] In the water. And we're baptized. And we get the Holy Ghost. Is that all there is? No. There's a spiritual growth. And that's the foundation.

[15:53] A foundation of repentance. And most people haven't even got that. Tonight I want to tell you. That the water he's speaking about there. Is the water of the word. Is the water of the word.

[16:04] Going down in a pool somewhere. Is just symbolic. Of going down. And getting the word of God. To baptize you. And cleanse you. And give you some spiritual growth.

[16:15] And some moral development. So that you no longer. Have a. A satanic. When I preached. A while back. I preached on. On ten daily duties of Christians.

[16:27] And I turned it around. Because I knew. A little bit. When I was out in the world. See God has a way. A purpose of will. For everything. Because everything you ever have learned. Somewhere. It's going to be used. To the glory of God. The Father.

[16:38] You see. It's going to be used. To make his name known. If you just submit. And you'll let him. And see. I knew some people. That were into Satanism. So I knew what Satanism. Was all about. And they told me.

[16:49] That it really wasn't about. Worshipping the devil. It was about. Worshipping the devil. In the mirror. Their self. It was selfishness. And see. See no longer. We turn. We start looking at God.

[17:00] And all of a sudden. It becomes. We start wanting to please him. More than ourself. And then. Even more than that. We look down. And we start seeing people. And we start wanting to help others.

[17:12] More than ourself. And then. You know what? Somewhere in that line. That long list of stuff. We end up being. At the end. If we just keep. Growing. And we get on this wheel.

[17:24] Of being born. Because. The born. You can be born. You're being constantly reborn. Right now. I don't. I can't explain it. Really.

[17:35] At this moment. But. Maybe one day. The Lord will let me. And I praise him. Turn with me. To.

[17:46] Oh yeah. Oh I'm sorry. Thank you Jesus. That comes from. The word born here. Born again. Comes from. Genethe.

[17:57] Anothen. To be begotten. From above. It literally means. There must be a transformation. From God. And a renewal. In righteousness. In true holiness.

[18:07] That's what I'm saying. We no longer. We start taking on God. We start. We start taking on Jesus. Inside of us. And it starts. Ripping away the dark. Sinly flesh.

[18:18] Our carnal minds. Our carnal influences. Our logic. You know. It starts changing it. Our. Just. It turns us around. I just can't explain it. Any more than.

[18:29] Look at me. Two years ago. And look at me now. That's what I'm saying. And. And to God be all the glory. It ain't nothing I did. I'm not a trophy for somebody. I'm a trophy for my Lord.

[18:42] That he gets. That one day. That I'm going to get to go back. And I'm going to get to sit in him. I'm going to get to be in that bosom of love. He was talking about. Praise God. He's worthy.

[18:53] He is worthy. And it's all about him. If you would. Turn with me. To. First Corinthians. Chapter one.

[19:04] And verse eighteen. Like I said. I got a lot of scripture. I'm going to let the Lord lead me tonight. We might not even get past. Time to be born. But that's okay.

[19:16] Because we're all being in a constant born process. We're also all going through a constant dying process. We're also going through a constant planting process. That the Father's got us going through. And we're also going through a constant plucking.

[19:28] That the Father's got us going through. Hey. This is awesome. I think when he gave it to me at points. I had to set it down. I had to take off. And start shouting and praising the Lord.

[19:40] Because I'm telling you. It was just flooding me. You know. I couldn't even write it down. As fast as he was giving it to me. But that's okay. When he wants to bring it out. He'll bring it out. That's how God works. See.

[19:50] I just trust in him. And then. First Corinthians. If I've got it.

[20:02] I thought I had it marked. Praise the Lord. He's worthy. Tonight. He is worthy. And this is what we're born into.

[20:13] What we're going to talk about right here. We're born into. This. Second Corinthians. Chapter 1. And verse 18. Fourth. I know this is a lot of scripture.

[20:26] But it's all very relevant. All of it relates. The whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation. It all relates together. You know. If I don't know anything else. I know that. I don't know how I know it.

[20:36] Because I ain't studied the whole thing. And I probably will never get to. But I just praise God. That I got an opportunity. To get some of it. To even get a crumb. You know. I praise him for every little crumb.

[20:47] That he gives me. You know. He's just worthy. He's worthy tonight. I thank you. For the preaching of the cross. Is to them that perish foolishness.

[20:59] But unto us. Which are saved. It is the power of God. For it is written. I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. And I will bring to nothing. The understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise?

[21:11] Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish. The wisdom of this world? For after. That in the wisdom of God. The world.

[21:21] By wisdom. Knew not God. It pleased God. By the foolishness. Of preaching. To save. Them that believe. Some people call this foolishness. What I'm doing right here.

[21:32] This is foolishness. If I was out on the street. Preaching. Every people walking by. What's he doing? That old idiot. He's out there. Talking again. He's just sitting there.

[21:42] Blowing a bunch of hot air. Who's he think he is? You know. People. But you know what? Hey. God chooses. The foolish things. To confound the wise.

[21:55] The foolish things. I thought this was foolish. When I was out in the world too. But this is life. This is life. I ain't lived till I got born again. I ain't never lived.

[22:05] I just started living. I'm still a baby. And I want some more milk. You know. I love him. He's worthy. It says. For the Jews require a sign. And the Greeks seek after wisdom.

[22:17] But we preach Christ crucified. Unto the Jews a stumbling block. And unto the Greeks foolishness. Unto 95% of the world. This is foolishness. Even the modern church.

[22:29] When you preach the crucified. When you preach humbling yourself. When you preach crucifying your flesh. They're like. What? No. I'm looking to know the risen Christ. So am I.

[22:39] But hey. How do you get a risen side. Without a crucified side. How. Hey. How can you be resurrected. If you ain't dead. You gotta be resurrected.

[22:50] Paul said. That I might attain. The resurrection of the dead. He said. That I might attain. The resurrection of the dead. Brother Rand. You have to die. To be resurrected. Or you have to be born.

[23:03] See. Being born is dying. And dying is being born. Hey. If it ain't all relative. Something's wrong with me then. And I'm just loony.

[23:13] You might as well call. Central State. And put me in a. In a cell. And let me preach to the walls. For the rest of my life. Because hey. I'm gonna preach this. And I'm gonna keep preaching it. And I'm gonna keep preaching it. I'm gonna keep preaching it.

[23:24] I'm gonna say. Hey. You gotta die out to the world. The flesh and the devil. You gotta die. You gotta grow. You gotta develop. All to the glory of God. See.

[23:35] We get a little fire at us. We think. Oh. We can start doing it now. No. You just messed up. You about to fall down on your face. But every time that devil comes at you.

[23:46] If you'll get down. And you'll get in. Shut in with God. God will say. Hey. Leave him alone. He's mine. Get out of here. And when God speaks. Oh.

[23:57] That devil trembles. See. Because God. Hey. He's the most high God. He's the most high God. There's a lot of gods in the Bible.

[24:07] That have a little G to them. My God's the only one in there. It's not only the little G. But he's the great I am. Hey. He's the eternal one.

[24:18] The self-existent one. It was. It is. It's gonna be. He's omnipotent. Omnipresent. He's my God. Hey.

[24:28] Them people that go around preaching this nonsense of Islam. And all this stuff. And they sit there. And they bow down. And they pray. Hey. They're more devoted than most Christians though. I'll tell you that.

[24:38] They're more devoted. And they don't care who sees them. And they're zealous. Because in a lot of countries. They'll kill you. If you don't be a Muslim. But.

[24:50] But I'm not saying we should do that. I'm just saying. If they've got that much deal. Which is too much. And we know. Because it's. They have no mercy. Because they have no concept of it. Because it's. Theirs is all based on a religion of works.

[25:02] But. If we. Would just get half that zealous. It's the Bible says. When Zion travails. Sons and daughters shall be.

[25:13] So God left it up to us. Of course he's got a purpose of will. And he already knows the end. But he's still left it up to us. To get down.

[25:24] And pray. We. We. We necessarily got to pray for. For names. Because we don't know who. We don't know when it's going to happen. But we just got to live right. See living right.

[25:35] Is part of travail. Living right. Is part of travail. And going through the pain of life. The sufferings of life. And lifting up the name.

[25:46] All the way. All the way to the cross. To the death of the cross. Like Jesus Christ did. And I praise him today. See God. Sometimes he just goes a totally different way.

[25:59] But. But it was right on time. And he took me right where he needed to. So hey. I praise him for it. I thank him. And I just. I just hope. That somebody listens to this. Because I don't care if somebody likes it or not.

[26:10] Because I don't study. To show myself approved. Under anybody else. I study. To show myself approved unto God. I preach because God commanded me to. You know. I don't preach. So I can make people happy.

[26:22] You know. But I do want you to know. I preach out of love. Comes out of love. Because. If you see your son. Or your kid. Walking up to an electrical socket.

[26:32] About to reach in it. You're going to grab that kid up. You're going to bust his tail. You're going to bust his tail. You're going to say. Hey. Hey. And if that don't cause them to cry. The butt whooping sure is.

[26:43] Going to. I praise God tonight. It says. But unto them. Which are called. That's us. Anybody under the sound of my voice.

[26:55] Is called. And I'm not just talking about called. We're going to get to it. I'm not just talking about called. To be saved. Baptized. And filled with the Holy Ghost. And even get a little bit of moral development. You're called to the bride.

[27:06] If you're under my voice. Hey. Brother Van said. If you shoot for it. If you try to throw a dart. And you try to throw it anywhere. Unless you're a very skillful dart player. If you try to throw a dart. Anywhere other.

[27:16] Than a bullseye. You're liable to miss the board. You're liable to miss the board. I don't just want to go to heaven. I don't just want to go to the new earth. I want to go to the new city.

[27:28] And even more than that. I want to get in the bosom of the father. In Christ. In the father. The Bible even goes as far as to say. In his throne. Oh man.

[27:40] That's powerful. Can you imagine the love? The love. And the constant. You would do. You would do nothing but praise him. If we got caught a real glimpse of who God is.

[27:53] We would do nothing but praise him. For the rest of our life. We would probably be hermits. Half of us. We go up on a mountain somewhere. And fast. And get all fanatical for God.

[28:05] Because. Hey. We just seen God. We just seen the most high. And we didn't die. And he didn't rip his judgment out on me. And I'm alive to tell about. That means I got a purpose. Hey.

[28:17] He's awesome. He's awesome in this place. We take for granted the spirit we've got here. Because the spirit is to make the way for the word. The spirit is there for nothing but to make the way for the word.

[28:32] To come forth. And see there's a lot of men here tonight. But I praise God. Because God is anointing me tonight. And he says. Hey. That's my son. He's going to do what I told him to do.

[28:43] I got scared last time I got up here and preached. Because you know. The spirit was kind of low. And I kind of felt like I was drowning. I felt like. A couple times I about. I about just fell down. And just run out of the building.

[28:55] But. You know what. Tonight that ain't working. Because I'm mad. I'm here to say. Hey. Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords. And King of Kings. Crazy.

[29:07] Woo. Thank you. It says. It says. But unto them which are called. Both Jews and Greeks. Christ the power of God. And the wisdom of God.

[29:17] Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men. You hear that. I got to stop right there. I can't even get through the text. Because God says. Hey. Hey. You got to stop. You got to tell them what the foolishness of God.

[29:28] Hey. The foolishness of God. This is the foolishness of God. The cross is the foolishness of God. And it's wiser than any man. It's wiser than any Donald Trump.

[29:39] It's wiser than the richest man on earth. Because he who dies with the most toys still dies. I say to you tonight. Forsake all and follow Christ. Give it all to him. If he asks you tomorrow.

[29:49] To give it all to him. How many would? Or how many would be like the rich man. Say. I don't know about that. And take off. And reject Christ. And spend an eternity in hell.

[30:00] Because they did. We can't do it. I'm not here preaching to a bunch of people that aren't saved. I'm here preaching to the saints of God tonight.

[30:12] I'm here preaching out of love. I'm here preaching the 2003's about to get rough. I'm watching the news. And it's just scaring me to death. In one way. Scaring me to death.

[30:23] Not to back up. Not to let up any. To keep pushing. To keep going for God. Because hey. I don't care if he waits 30 more years. I'm still going to be running. They say Jesse's going to cool off.

[30:35] No he's not. By the grace of God I'm not. Because hey. I got to keep going. I got to hit that mark. I got to get that prize.

[30:46] I want to be in the bride. I love him. I praise him tonight. He's all. He's everything. His foolishness. You know. A baby being born in a manger.

[30:58] Everybody else was looking for a king to be born. Kind of like what's going on today in the modern church. Everybody's looking for a literal kingdom of God to come out. And then be the ones to set it up.

[31:20] Or by how much money a church has got. Or by how much a person pledges to them. I'm telling you about a church. Hey. I'm telling you about a kingdom of God. The kingdom of heaven that's going to be ushered in.

[31:31] By God. Not any man or any group of men. I don't care what they say. They can say it all day long. But I don't believe it for a second. Well now I believe it's to get their pocket fatter.

[31:44] Their esteem higher. Their position higher. That's all it's about. And I know I'm going to fight all kind of devils because of this. But you know what? I'm going to back up and I ain't going to fight them.

[37:30] You're hand picked. From somewhere way back. Because God went to the end of this thing. Before he ever started it. So. In the loins of God. He picked you. To come through this.

[37:41] Trial called earth. To get back to him. So that you could. Be in the love. You can have the love. Because he knew you could make it. He knew we could make it.

[37:52] That's why he did it. He knows we can make it to him. This is an encouraging word. This is not a. This is not a judgmental word. Anytime it seems like judgment.

[38:06] It's going to be. The opposite. See. God's judgment. Has to do with his love. On us. And his grace. Because Jesus said.

[38:16] I didn't come to the world to condemn it. Yet. Through me. The world might be saved. But I tell you what. When he preached. He preached pretty hard. And he told them exactly what they were.

[40:22] I believe some of them are sincere. But as. As I've heard a man say. They're sincerely wrong. Because. If they don't.

[40:33] Give them a drink. Of that salt water. That's inside of us. The living water of God. It makes you thirsty for more. And hungry for more. They aren't ordained.

[40:44] To eternal life. Then they're not gone. Then. Then. All that's in vain. You can do all this high and mighty stuff. We could do all kinds of stuff. We could lower some standards around here.

[40:54] And we could have all kind of people coming in. We'd have to knock out four walls. We would have more offering than we could. We could spend. The youth would be booming. If we just.

[41:06] Compromise. Quit doing it like we've always did it. But then we're going to be just as dead as all them other churches. Because God's going to strip his anointing away from this place. You have to be separate.

[41:19] From the world. There's. The anointing is in the separation. I've been to another church. And the separation is there. And the anointing is there. So I know.

[41:30] It's not just in one place. That I. That I've got that. That figure. It's in. It's in a couple places I've seen. You know. And.

[41:41] It's not just a standard. Or a suit. It's what you think about. On a regular basis. It's who your heart really yearns for. On a regular basis. It's.

[41:52] How much you want to do. For that. Person. The man. Christ Jesus. You love. It's how much you want to do. For your future. Husband. It's.

[42:05] It's about him. And doing his will. Making his name known. I know I'm long winded. I'm sorry. But being born again. Not by corruptible seed. Not by something.

[44:20] You're supposed to openly confess. That you're a Christian. In front of a group of people. And you know that. They let anybody come in. So. There was probably spies in there. Of the Roman army. And when they openly confessed.

[44:31] They went. And they. Because. They seen that they were zealous. A little bit. And they. They might be a troublemaker. And they took them. Probably within months. Of them getting saved. They were already.

[44:43] Getting. Getting tortured. And then. When they couldn't do nothing else. To hurt them. They beheaded them. Finally. Or even worse. Fed them to animals. Or whatever they did. But they did a lot. Anyway.

[59:59] His total countenance is different than what it was. I know y'all all know that. But tonight as I listen and see what God gave him and how God has put the word in him, that's a miracle.

[60:12] You know what, if you've seen somebody that was blind, all of us is a miracle. But after you serve the Lord years and years and years, it probably don't affect man like this.

[60:25] No, it probably does. But when you see what God can do with somebody that comes in and presents himself to God, and see God able to work this, it renews your faith and confidence in God.

[60:38] It makes you have a revived feeling in your heart to know God is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. And I'm glad he is. Glad he's my God.

[60:50] Glad he's here tonight. And thank him for all his goodness. Did I say enough? I'd love to hear her talk.

[61:02] Anything she says, I'd just like to hear her. Well, you're in bad shape then. But God is good. I don't know much of anything to say other than I'm amazed at the battle that's going on.

[61:18] I know something that he said in his sermon tonight. I believe we're living in a really dangerous time, too. And we need God.

[61:30] I've been reading in Isaiah. And where Isaiah, I think it's 6th chapter, where you saw the Lord high and lifted up in his train, filled the temple.

[61:42] And then when he came to the party, he said, woe is me. I'm a man of unclean lips. And then he was talking about those about him that had unclean lips. But then I noticed later on down in a few verses, Billy, that the angel took a coal of fire off the altar with some tongs and touched his lips.

[62:04] And I thought today when I read that again, I thought, God, it's what I need. I need you to take the hot coals off your altar and purge me and cleanse me and fix me.

[62:18] And if he does that for us, it's sort of like the scripture says, if my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and call on me. Well, it's the same thing.

[62:30] And I know I need that in my life. I need the hot coals off of God's altar to touch my lips. And I need to see him like Isaiah saw him.

[62:41] Where his train filled the temple and said that the glory of the Lord came down there. And it was like a smoky atmosphere. The temple was completely full.

[62:53] And he saw this. He saw God. And then, you know, the ones, the cherubims, is that what you call them? And when they, there's another name there I'm looking for.

[63:06] They had six, what? Yeah, seraphims. And, you know, those things had the body of a lion, the face of an eagle.

[63:18] And then they had six wings. Two covered the faces, the face. Two covered the feet. And then the other two helped them to fly.

[63:30] And, you know, I thought about how that, if we could really get touched by God. And, you know, what they said to God was, what they said to him was, is holy, holy, holy.

[63:44] Because no other word can describe God. We could go to the most brilliant explanation in our English language or any other language.

[63:55] And we couldn't find a word that defines God. And, you know, when you read a verb, and I'm, this, he asked for it, so okay. And when I read in there, and I see that the Mazzanic message is all through this book.

[64:14] And when you read in there who Jesus is. And how he said all these many years before Christ was coming. And we see what, how they worshiped him.

[64:24] How that he, in that temple, in Solomon's temple, I believe it was. The pillars was even shaken by the glory and the presence of God.

[64:35] And I need the pillows of my heart shaken, Floella. I need to be shook all the way from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. Till I do recognize God as God.

[64:48] Till I do come back to the place where I have the fear of God. It says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. It isn't the fear of God of like. He's going to take a hammer and hit me in the head.

[65:00] But it's the awesomeness. The fear of him. The holiness. And what he represents. And who he is. Because that's why I think that we miss out.

[65:11] Or that's why I miss out. I'm not recognizing him for who he is, brother. I'm not recognizing him how great he is. And who I stand before on a daily basis.

[65:23] That he sees me when I rise. He knows when I sleep. There was this preacher van that went to see Brian this past week.

[65:34] And he didn't want to fabricate things at all. You can take him seriously at whatever he says. Just an old honest country boy.

[65:46] He went down seeing Brian Mundy. And this fits in, believe it or not. And he told Brian once they let him back in the room. He got to talk to him for two and a half hours. Two hours and 15 minutes wasn't personal in a room.

[66:00] He told Brian, he said, Brian, it's pulling up to the building today. He said, I saw a huge angel. He said, he was huge, awesome.

[66:12] And said he was standing in front of the jail. And said he was standing there with his arms folded. Just waiting to hear God say what needs to be done.

[66:24] That he's there already. And Billy, we have the angels of God with us. He said he encampeth about them that fear him. We have angels around us every day.

[66:37] When we look at God and we fear God in the right way. In his awesomeness. And we really see him like the prophet did there. We ain't by ourself wherever you're at, brother.

[66:50] You feel like you're by yourself most of the time. And the devil's fought you. And he's hindered you and hindered you and hindered you. You go one step, two steps forward.

[67:02] You go one step back. Mankind has an influence over you. And they can deal you a card. And they will because guess what? The devil is there helping them to be.

[67:15] Anybody that's disobedient to God is used to the devil. That's what the scripture says. He works through the children of disobedience. And you've been hurt so many times in your life.

[67:26] That if I stood here I wouldn't be able to tell probably all night long. How many people's hurt you. And how many times you've been laid out to dry. But the reason why that is is the Lord told me to tell you.

[67:41] The reason why that is is like I and a lot of other people need. It's in degrees like brother was teaching here. You die and you're born and you die. And the potter's on.

[67:52] But what it is is you need to recognize yourself in the Lord. In him. Recognize him. And then when you begin to recognize him. And he gives you this.

[68:03] It says in the scripture to love your neighbor as you love yourself. How are you going to love your neighbor if you don't love yourself? Quit being hard on yourself. Quit letting the devil tell you that you'll never amount to nothing.

[68:16] That you're a failure. And that you're never going to advance forward. That you're a loser. You're not a loser. Not when you're in him, hun. You may fall flat on your face and get dust all over you.

[68:28] But he gives you grace to pick yourself back up. And then you go on. Because I tell you what. There ain't never one of us in here tonight, honey. That don't fall on our face.

[68:39] And if that song that I know of. I heard a preacher sing. Said how about your heart? Is it right with God? Could you ask Christ in the day? What if your heart was made with a window on each side.

[68:52] So that all could see. Not just outward charm. But they could look in to what your heart really is. You've been really pounced on.

[69:04] It's time for you to come out of the pouncing stage. Not to be in there on a defense. But you quit being a defense type of person. And you begin to walk in Christ and get your word out.

[69:16] And God's going to move you up the ladder. This can't happen to you anymore. The things that's happened to you is because, see, God, ultimately, if we really look to God.

[69:27] If we really look to God. You take the, and I'm not just wanting to talk on my own now here. But see, where we're at now. We got a son in jail come Tuesday. No telling us what could happen.

[69:40] We'll lose him for a while. We don't know what's going to happen. But I tell you what you have to do, brother, when you get down in the pit and in the valley. What you begin to realize is, God is God.

[69:53] Whatever God you want, though you slay me, yet will I serve you. Recognize yourself because, see, there's a bigger pit waiting on you. There's a bigger punch coming your way.

[70:06] And some punches will knock the breath out of you and will put you on your knees and you can get back up. But there's the ultimate punch. I'm telling you. I'm a witness.

[70:17] There's an ultimate punch. If we allow the devil to get us in a situation and keep us there, there's an ultimate punch, Pat, that will knock us out for a while. And we'll go through many hard trials.

[70:29] But don't let it get to you. But you get up there where God wants you to get. And you receive what God's got. And quit looking. And I have to say, I hope I'm not embarrassing you.

[70:40] Don't look around at females, son. I don't know how old you are, but forget the female issue right now. Forget the female issue. I feel like the Lord wants me to tell you that.

[70:53] Get yourself in order. Get yourself fixed. And let God send you that one that he wants to send you. Not the one you think that you see and all this.

[71:05] See, because how many times has it happened down the line? I don't know how many times. But you do and God does. But don't let it happen no more. See, all of us has got a besetting sin that works on us.

[71:18] There's things that affect me that don't affect y'all. And this besetting sin is so easily. The Bible says so easily, Billy. Isn't that strange? It's so easily. Why?

[71:28] Because the devil knows what our weaknesses are. The devil ain't working on us with your weakness. He don't work on me with yours. But he works on mine. So what we got to do is we got to realize our weakness and then start striving.

[71:41] And don't never give up. No matter how weak the devil says you are. No matter how much of a failure you think you are. No matter what you think about yourself.

[71:51] You get up and you keep punching anyway. Because if I listen to the enemy. And I really am going strange places now. But if I listen to the enemy. I would have already packed my bags at my home.

[72:05] And I would have already got in my car. And I would have already left. And you say. I may not should be confessing this here. Van can reprimand me later. But if I done what I felt like doing in my flesh.

[72:18] That's what I would have already done. But guess what? God comes on the scene and gives us better sense. And to react to some things like we're feeling. We have to learn how to stand up and say.

[72:30] It don't matter how I'm feeling. It don't matter what I'm thinking. It don't matter what I think other people are thinking about me. It don't matter about anything else. But God I'm going to stand in you.

[72:42] Whether I feel, see, touch or anything. Whether anybody appreciates me or not. Or Teresa. See what I'm saying? Whether kids appreciate you.

[72:53] Whether husband or wife would appreciate you. It's standing in God. And number one is most time keeping your mouth shut. My family know me.

[73:05] I got two sitting back there. Lives in a household where I do. So they know they could really be standing up and telling you a lot of things. See. Because sometimes I can't keep my mouth shut.

[73:27] We're in the perilous days that the Bible speaks about. This is what's been on my heart. I want to be sober and be vigilant. I've been sitting here tonight listening to him preach.

[73:37] And I thought, oh, God, what you've done for our brother. Help me to become sober and vigilant and really pursuing after you. But God's good.

[73:48] My whole reason why I was leaving home wasn't because of I got a mean husband. Y'all know I don't. But it's just when you get so many things, you want to run. Everybody. Anybody ever felt like that? You just want to run.

[73:59] Take care of yourself. I'll take care of myself. And you just go your way and I'll go mine. But, I mean, that's humans. That's all of us. And I'm not going to tell you the worst things about me because I just don't want you to know.

[74:11] But see, the fact of it is, is this. We got to keep on. We can't cast away our confidence. You got confidence or you wouldn't be in the house of God tonight. See what I'm saying?

[74:22] You wouldn't be doing what you're doing now. But see what God wants you to do. Separate yourself unto him. Let him build you up. And when you get built up to that point, you won't be looking around out here.

[74:36] Whoever it is that's been punching you and how the devil's been getting to you. You won't no longer live like that. God's got his hands on you. He's got a purpose for you.

[74:47] And you can fulfill it if you do that. And if this poor, pitiful human being can do it, you can't. God's good.

[75:00] Ain't he good? Ain't he good? Ain't he good? Such a good spirit. But we desire your prayers this coming week. I desire more than anything if I know my heart.

[75:14] God, open up my heart and reveal it to me. Search my heart. If I know my heart, I want to do what God wants me to do above everything else. And when you do that, when you go toward God, the battle's on, ain't it, brother?

[75:29] When you go toward God, you look forward to come. And it's never going to stop. Some of us might be looking for an easier thing. And when I make this big step or when I do this thing, it's going to get easier.

[75:40] I'm sorry. Y'all may have found it. I don't find it easy. He says his yoke is easy and his burden's light. But if we don't go to him, then we've got a heavy burden and we've got a big yoke around our neck.

[75:53] That's the only reason. But the devil's out there punching. I praise the Lord. I thank him. Remember us in prayer this coming week. It's going to be a terrifying thing.

[76:11] And Joel, my son, needs to be remembered in prayer this coming week, too. He's going to have to have the wisdom of God with him because this is something that y'all don't know about.

[76:23] And I'm not at liberty to say because of the FBI. And I was saying that to get your attention to say it's this serious. It is this serious. He's not in trouble.

[76:36] But he is going to be speaking to prosecution and the defender in the FBI and the FBI agents.

[76:48] And it's a real intricate thing here. And then I have an unspoken request of what God wants me to do in this van. There's something that I can do.

[77:02] And it's serious, serious, serious. And I'm wanting God's will. I'm wanting God to show me what to do. If God doesn't want me to do this thing by tomorrow night, I don't want to do it.

[77:17] But if I do it, it's going to be grave. So it's really mysterious that I'm just not able to say what it is.

[77:28] But I don't want to get out of God. And that's the key, not getting out of him. So I would desire your prayers. Is that enough now? Well, I have.

[77:42] I've stood here. You know, when you have different gifts in the Spirit, that's why it's so necessary. Not that God would tell me anything verbally.

[77:54] I know everyone in here tonight, you would appreciate a word from the Lord. And when somebody is used in prophecy or when I think some people call it a word of knowledge.

[78:07] Some people call it discernment of the Spirit. And everyone of us, that don't mean God don't love you and care about your situation. And sometimes when I look, this is why the gifts flow out are so important.

[78:21] See, God could speak to me tonight. If that's your gift, brother. Or who's their gift? And God could tell me. Used to, people, what? What people in the Bible?

[78:33] When the disciples and all, they needed an answer. They went to prayer, didn't they? And then they said, the Holy Ghost said, separate me, Paul, and Bartima. Was it? The Holy Ghost said.

[78:44] See what I'm saying? So God's got so much. The table's filled if we're just to eat of it. But anyway, God loves you. And Teresa, since it came across my mind, you are loaded down.

[78:58] Totally loaded down. In spirit sometimes at your house or wherever you're at. And you're like a little bee around a honeycomb. And you just buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz.

[79:10] There's a place that God wants you to rest in Him. Somehow find a corner or a niche somewhere. And even if you don't pray out loud, whatever, just go before God and wait upon Him.

[79:26] Let Him speak to your heart. And He'll tell you what to do in some of these places that you need Him to tell you that you don't know what to do about. And see, the devil's the author of confusion.

[79:40] That's how the devil works, ain't it? He works through confusion. And He gets you that way a lot of time. But don't let Him confuse you. No, God's going to start giving you some answers.

[79:51] God's going to give you some answers. But get a quiet time and get away. Sometimes I go to my basement down there and Billy's been in my, where you been down there? Awful, scroungy, messy place.

[86:14] I don't know what their brothers and sisters might have been thinking. I don't even know for sure what Paul was thinking. Do you reckon they was praying for God?

[86:26] I'm serving you with everything I got and is this the best you got from me? I just cast the devil out of it, Lord, and you want to throw me in jail? Not only that, before you throw me in here, you put me in stocks and bonds and you had me beat?

[86:41] All things work together for good. See, that's not a man-made thing. That's a God-made thing. Because you know what happened at midnight? Now, it gets dark early over there.

[86:55] They didn't have any electric lights or electric heaters or anything like that. And at midnight, when everybody else was snoring and sound asleep, the Bible said that Paul was praying out loud.

[87:10] Why in the world do you think he might have been praying? God, I thank you for this situation you got me in. Lord God, I glory in my tribulations.

[87:23] Or, Lord, could you put a little more salve on this back, Lord, that's burning and hurting so bad. You know what? The Bible said that old Paul was praying and Silas started singing.

[87:35] Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever. He sought me and he bought me with his redeeming glove. About midnight, Can't you imagine them other old prisoners over there hollering, Y'all shut up.

[87:47] We're trying to sleep in here. You bunch of Christians, you old holy rollers. But all of a sudden, about midnight, they didn't quit praying and they didn't quit singing.

[87:58] Singing is a symbol of joy. Praying is a symbol of faith. When you mingle your faith with your joy, honey, you're going to get an earthquake.

[88:10] The Bible said that the doors of the jailhouse began to shake. The whole building was shaking and the doors swung open wide and all of them took off and they said, Thank God he delivered us.

[88:23] Oh no, that's not how it happened, is it? The earthquake was so bad that it knocked the jailer out of bed. He ran in there and saw all the jailhouse doors swung open and he took out a knife to kill himself and Paul said, Hey friend, that's the kind of love God had.

[88:43] When Jesus looked down at them from the cross, he said, Father, forget me. For they know not what they do. Friend, don't harm yourself. We're all here. All of us. You know what?

[88:56] You know what Paul knew? The devil meant it for evil. But God turned it for good. Can anybody tell me what happened? The jailer got saved.

[89:10] And his wife got saved. And all of his kids got saved. Can you imagine that? I've got a tape. I had to play it again tonight before I came in church.

[89:22] There was a band of 40 soldiers. And Nero was so proud of them and he knew that nobody could stand against these 40 soldiers because everyone had the other's back.

[89:35] When one fell in battle, the other picked him up and fought for him. They'd fight. He'd take swords in both hands and fight both ways. These were great men of valor. Nero was so proud of them but there came a time when somebody told Nero, Did you know that there's Christians in your band that you're so proud of?

[89:55] So Pharaoh sent down a decree that if there's any Christians in the band that they would have to be killed by the hand of Vespasian. And Vespasian was their leader.

[90:07] Vespasian, he wasn't a Christian and he really didn't think that there were any Christians in the land so he drawed a line in the sand. He said, But any of you Christians and, you know, any of you Christians, they tell me there might be some in here, I don't doubt it, but if there is any, let them step across that line because these were brave men.

[90:26] They was not afraid of nothing. But what made him be taken aback and aghast was when all 40 of them walked across the line.

[90:40] What? I've trained you all. You're my elite guard. You are, there's no greater. We fall, we, and you're all Christians.

[90:52] Vespasian walked out of that place with his head hanging low. And on a cold winter's morning, Nero said, I've waited long enough.

[91:03] You go down there and you kill them. He went down there and he commanded that they all take all of their clothes off. And marched out on a lake stark naked. And they were going out there to die.

[91:17] He said, but now if one of you changes your mind, you don't have to go. All you got to do is just deny your God. You don't have to go. All 40 went out there. You could hear them in the night wailing, crying, freezing to death.
