[0:00] He's an all the time, all the time, all time God. Amen? Woo, glory. Praise the Lord. Thank you, Jesus.

[0:16] In the book of John, Sister Treva touched on a little bit last night, talks about the four things that Jesus gave in the book of John. I'm not going to talk about all four of them.

[0:26] I'm just going to talk about one of them. Amen? But the four things that he gave, I will tell you that so you'll have something to write it down on. Can somebody shout praise the Lord? Hallelujah.

[0:40] You ready to write it down? He gave living waters. That's what he told the woman at the well, if you're drinking this water I give you, you'll never die because this water I'm giving you is living water, springing up to everlasting eternal life.

[0:52] Can somebody say amen? Living water. He also gave bread and meat. They're all one, bread and meat. In the book of Matthew, he said, take and eat.

[1:06] This is my body which is broken for you. Amen? Hallelujah. In the book of John, he said pretty much the same thing. He also gave love. Can somebody say amen?

[1:18] Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And the last thing that he gave was peace. Now I could preach on any one of these this morning. I think they would all be pretty good. But today, if it's the Lord's will, I just want to preach on a little bit of love.

[1:33] You know, a lot of people think they know what love is, but they don't have the slightest idea. They don't know what love is. That's why they say they're going somewhere, they're going to go make love. No, they're not.

[1:44] They're going to go make lust. Amen? You're not making love, crawling out of the bed, everything, Tom, Dick, and Harry coming along. Hallelujah. But I read in John 3, 16, where I found out what God said love is.

[1:59] Hallelujah. For God so loved the world that he gave. How many noticed then that loving is connected with giving? You can't have love and not have a spirit of giving.

[2:09] Amen? You can't have Jesus Christ. You can't have God without having a spirit of giving. Hallelujah. Because when you really love God, when you truly love God, not for his blessings, but you just love God because God is love, and he put that love down inside of you, then you really get excited about loving.

[2:27] Loving. And you know the most miserable person in life is one who has to go through life without being loved. Turn with me to the book of John, the 13th chapter, and we'll read a few verses here and see what the Lord has for us today.

[2:38] Amen? Hallelujah. John 13, verse 34 and 35. I'll get there myself in a minute.

[2:55] If you find it, raise up your hand. If you're not even looking for it, raise up your hand. That way I won't have to wait for you to raise your hand. I heard Brother Gerald Crabb said that.

[3:05] I thought that sounded pretty good. Praise the Lord. Amen. Give you all something to get excited about. We're going to have a gospel singing, Calhoun High School, May the 10th.

[3:22] And it's going to be Crabb family and Charles Johnson and the Revivers. So I'm sorry y'all won't be able to make it. Amen.

[3:36] I want to read these two verses of Scripture here, then we'll go on from there. Somebody say amen. Amen. John 13, 34. Found my place again.

[3:47] I got tall and lost my place. Let your women keep silence in the churches. Oh, that's not the right place, is it? I'm sorry. I just thought it sounded pretty good to me.

[3:58] I really did. Now, does that many know how many commandments there are in the Word of God? Ten commandments. Well, there were 613, then Jesus added a few more.

[4:18] That went along with the original 10. But we can't even keep up with the original 10. Amen. Hard enough to keep those 10. That's why the Bible said that no man can be justified by the law because they made it impossible to live righteous under the law because if you sneezed, it was wrong.

[4:39] Amen. Now, Jesus didn't come to make it any easier because the Word of God says if you look at, y'all should not commit adultery.

[4:49] And Jesus said, if you look upon a woman to lust after her, you committed adultery. He didn't come to make it any easier. Amen. But he said, I come to fulfill it. And then he begins to say, a new commandment I give you.

[5:00] Here's where I'm at. A new commandment I give you. Aren't those other 613 enough? He said, no, you need another one here. A new commandment I give you, that you love one another.

[5:13] It's that old time religion. Old time religion. Old time religion is good enough for me to make you love everybody. Love everybody.

[5:24] How can you know if you really have God? If you can look around in the people in the church and you can't see somebody that you don't love, then you know you got God. If you look at somebody in church and you say, I don't really love them.

[5:39] That didn't say like. I'm not talking about like. I'm talking about love. Can somebody say amen? A new commandment that I give you, that you love one another and that you also, as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

[5:54] Now, now, now, wait a minute now. Get this really close because you're going to miss it. A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another as I have loved you, you also love one another.

[6:07] By this your men know that you are my disciples if you have love one for another. Now, in those two verses, how many times did the Lord say love? Four times?

[6:22] You know what I found out? That the word of God is laid out in the form of a cross. And there's four points to everything that you want to preach. You can preach it in the four points of the cross. Amen? But I'm not preaching on that this morning.

[6:34] He, he, let me get on over here. How are we supposed to love other people? Huh?

[6:48] Huh? Huh? What'd you say, Sandy? As he loved us. Well, now, how did he love us? Huh?

[6:58] Huh? He gave his life. You see anybody here today you want to give your life for? Look around. See anybody here you'd give your life for?

[7:14] If you say, yeah, then you got some of the love of God. If you see everybody, oh, well, I give my life for them people because they're Christians. They're good. You know, they're going to do all right. But you know what the Bible says? While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

[7:28] While I was taking his name in vain, hanging out at the pool hall all night long, doing every ungodly thing that I knew how to do, he looked down through time and he didn't see what I was. He looked beyond my faults and saw my need.

[7:38] Amen? And with that agape love that we can't understand, he reached down with his mighty hand. Hallelujah. And he loved me when I was absolutely unlovable. Let me give you a little scenario of what love is right here in chapter 13 of 1 Corinthians.

[7:53] He said, Though I speak with a tongue of men and of angels, though I can say, Shatai, Tachim, Simitam, Tachim, Tusco, Discount, Econ, Econ, Econ, Econ, Econ, Econ, Econ, Econ, Econ, and speak in all kinds of tongues and give messages in tongues and interpret and all this stuff if I don't have charity.

[8:08] And that word, when you look up the word charity in the Bible, it means agape, which means God's kind of love. Amen. If we ain't got God's kind of love, we don't have love. We have deceit.

[8:19] We're deceiving ourselves, thinking that we have God's love. But Jesus said, How can you love me whom you haven't seen and you can't love your brothers and sisters who you have seen? I remember Sister Mildred Crabtree used to come here and sing that song.

[8:32] Man, she had poured that thing on. Amen. She had a little bit different agenda than what I have, but it's the same general thing. Listen, Though I speak with a tongue of men and of angels and have not charity, have not love.

[8:44] Every time I say charity, y'all put love in there. I am become as a tinkling breast and a sounding cymbal. What is a tinkling breast? You never got any chimes outside your house? Wind blows. They chinkle a little bit.

[8:56] And a sounding cymbal. Now, you don't mind, you don't mind the sound, the tinkling brass, but let somebody get up inside your head. I used to be in the band at school and the guy stood beside me.

[9:07] His job was to, at the proper time, you get that big crescendo. Whom, boom! And then you pull them up in the air and then things just re-vibrate. How many like to be standing real close to that? How'd you like to be standing real close to bring this brother back here beating him drums and that thing?

[9:25] Sounding cymbals and tempting brass. Amen? He said, although I have the gifts of prophecy and of understanding mysteries and all knowledge, listen, though I can say, I say unto thee, thus saith the Lord God.

[9:38] He said, and understand all mysteries. There's nothing in the word of God I can look and can't find out and know the secrets there. And have all knowledge and though I have all faith, all faith, all faith, so that I can say unto the mountains and be thou removed and have not charity, I am nothing.

[9:56] If I don't have the love of God, can you tell I'm going to preach on love this morning? I'm kind of working my way up to it. If I don't have love, I can have everything else. It was a precious thing that's long a long time ago.

[10:10] And he said, you got to have love. You got to have love. You got to have love. Without love, you don't have God. Can somebody say amen? Listen to what it says. He said, and though I bestow all my money, all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned and have not charity, have not agape love, have not God's kind of love, it profiteth me nothing.

[10:32] Love surfeth long in its kind, love in me hath not itself, love vatheth not itself. It's not puffed up. Now I can preach, I can stay here and preach you a message on each one of these. Every one of these.

[10:44] Love surfeth long. I can preach you a message on long surf, and I can tell you about Job and how that all the saints throughout all the Old Testament, amen, suffered long. Hallelujah. But how they came out with victory, amen, because love surfeth long in its kind.

[10:58] Can somebody say amen? And envieth not. Love envieth not. Love vatheth not itself. Love is not puffed up. Doth not behave itself unseemly.

[11:08] You know when we get puffed up? When we think we're worthy of more. When we think the preacher ain't paying us no attention. See, Brother David could have got puffed up when I go, when he wanted to sing a song, and I said, it's not the right time right now.

[11:19] And then I forgot, because I'm a man, subject to like flaws as a man, and have a mental deficiency here. He could have got puffed up because my brother, man, don't even want to hear me sing.

[11:31] And that's my favorite song. About half that fast it is. I like it. I like to hear the words. Amen. I'm proud to be a Christian. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I mean, praise God.

[11:41] Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah is praising God in whatever language you say it in. Amen. I'm proud to know my name is written there. Can somebody say amen? But he didn't get puffed up. You know what happens when you get puffed up?

[11:52] The Lord will come along and stick a pen in you and let the air out. Because then he'll have to realize later, wait a minute, Brother Van loves me, and I know he wasn't going to look over me on purpose. Amen. That's why I looked out there and saw Sister Brendan. And I thought, well, I ain't hardly had her sing in all this revival we've been having here.

[12:05] Amen. Let's see. Love does not behave itself unseemly. Anybody here ever behave unseemly in the house of God? Well, you just need to be told off and Jesse, I'm going to tell you right now, but if you don't straighten up and I just sick the way you like, look, dress, walk, talk, and I think somebody will tell you and I just think it ought to be me.

[12:28] And that's acting pretty unseemly. Amen. Listen to what else it says. Love is not easily provoked. Now, Jesse can look there and he can look at me with eyes of love.

[12:40] And there I'm just trying to stir him up. And I'm trying to provoke him. He can jump up and say, well, you stupid old ball-headed preacher. Now, I'd have to call the sheep bearers out of the woods to eat him up.

[12:53] Or he could stand there and just smile and say, well, I'm sorry you feel that way, brother Van. I'll try to do better. Hey, didn't provoke. Not easily provoked. I'm amazed.

[13:03] I can look sideways at some of you. You get provoked. You get mad. You go stomping out the back door. I ain't never coming back. Easily provoked. Over nothing. And most of the time it's a misunderstanding.

[13:15] You got provoked when you wasn't even supposed to get provoked. Oh, I'm preaching now. Lord, let the seed fall where it's going to fall. Amen. Thinketh no evil.

[13:30] I ain't got time to preach on long. Let me hurry along then. Doth not behave itself and seemingly seeketh not her own. It's not easy to provoke. Thinketh no evil. Rejoiceth not in sin, but rejoiceth in the truth.

[13:40] Beareth all things. Believeth all things. Hopeth all things. Endureth all things. Love never fails. You see, we have conditional love. Now, God's love is conditional too.

[13:54] He said, if you do those things which I command you, then are you my disciples. But, our love is a whole lot more conditional than that. If you don't do what I tell you to do and I tell you to do it and the way I tell you to do it, I'm not going to love you no more.

[14:08] I'm not going to show shape with you. I'm not going to call you on the phone. I'm not going to shake your hand. I'm going to turn up my nose every time I see you. Your hand. Let me hear along here. Charity never fails.

[14:22] Love never fails. But whether there be prophecies, they shall fail. Whether there be tongues, they shall cease. Whether there be knowledge, it shall pass it away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, that which is in part shall be done away.

[14:34] When I was a child, I spake as a child. A lot of us are still speaking like children. Amen. It's supposed to be grown up, but we're still talking like babies. Amen. Though I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

[14:46] For now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know even as I also am known. And now about of these three, faith, hope, and charity, but the greatest of these is charity.

[14:57] Amen. Somebody say amen. Let's just bow our head and go to the Lord in prayer. Lord Jesus, Lord, as we try to get into your word this morning, I pray, Lord God, that you'd make a way, that you'd open the door. Lord God, that we could preach your word, Lord God.

[15:09] Oh, let the spirit begin to flow, Lord Jesus. Lord God, I know, Lord, that we're here this morning and I need this word. And Lord, if I need to be in the pastor, then I know that all these other folk here, you sent them here this morning, Lord, just to find out what love is all about.

[15:22] And we love you and we praise you, mighty God, in Jesus' name. And everybody say amen. Amen. Amen. The nine ingredients of divine love.

[15:33] There's nine. If you want to make something, you want to make it right. You know, Brother Kevin can make that, he can cook that fish, man. And it tastes just absolutely scrumptious. I can eat it until I can't eat anymore.

[15:44] And it's bulging out my ears. But you know what? If it's not cut right, if you don't get that old brown, that old gray, whatever it is, that old mud streak out of it, if you don't have the right batter to put it in, if you cook it too long, forget and leave it on the fire, then it's not fit to eat.

[15:59] Amen. So you got to have the right ingredient. First ingredient is patience. Love is passive. It's not in a hurry. It suffers long and bears. Amen. Second thing is kindness.

[16:10] Love is kindness in action. Love, listen, love is kindness in action. Somebody say amen. Love is generosity. Generosity is love when you're in competition with somebody.

[16:24] You know, that's why I don't like, you know, a lot of times here in the past, somebody wanted to get up a church basketball team or a football team or a baseball team and I said, no, I'm not for that because I'm not for anything that's in competition because when I found out, I've been to places and been in competition and all you want to do is beat the other people any way it takes, whatever it takes to beat them, you got to win, win, win, win.

[16:45] My wife said, that's what's wrong with you, man, when you play any game, you got to play to win. That's why I don't need to get in competition because if you play with me, you want to play checkers, I play checkers to win. I don't play to lose. I may feel sorry for you after a while and start losing.

[16:59] I was even a while back down there pitching horseshoes with some sisters down at Calhoun Church and I just let them win. So kindness is love in action.

[17:12] Generosity is love in competition. Humility is love in hiding. If you have humility, you have love, but you have it in hiding. You humble yourself, amen, before God.

[17:23] Courtesy is love in society. That's why you, when somebody's starting out the door, you know, I went by Friday, I stopped out there at McDonald's to get me a hamburger and there was this man coming in from outside and had this big old box.

[17:35] Well, I'm standing inside. They're not paying me to work there. I'm just, I'm there paying them. But you know what I do? I run through two doors to open this door so that man can get in there. Then I get in there and open the other door. You know why? Hey, it wasn't me that was doing it because the old van wouldn't do it.

[17:48] The old van say, set the stupid box down, open the door yourself. You're getting paid to carry it, carry it. But the new van says, wait a minute, let me get that door for you. Let me help you out here. You know what that is? That is love and generosity. Humility.

[17:59] Hallelujah. That's humility, love and hiding. You didn't know who I was. I wasn't trying. And I'm a Christian. That's why I did that because I just want you to know. Amen. Courtesy is loving society.

[18:11] Doth not behave itself unseemly. Always polite. Always polite. Always polite with all classes. Never rude or discourteous. Do we have anybody here that's rude and crude and discourteous to other people? Even to our brothers and sisters in the church?

[18:23] Oh, yes, you do. I could point some of you out sometime and sometimes I fall right in that category too. That's why I can preach to you because I preach it to myself. Love is unselfishness. Love. Unselfishness is love in essence.

[18:35] Love. Loving unselfishly is what love is all about. That's love in essence. That is what love is. It's unselfishness. We all have a little selfish streak in us.

[18:51] That's mine. Don't you fool with that now. I'll give you this but this is mine. Man, my brother used to argue about if we were dying and, you know, give us an area like we were in the tribulation period and we only had one can of beans.

[19:05] Would you give him the whole can of beans or would you share it with him? That's a big theological question. Amen. Takes them a lot of thinking.

[19:16] Well, like the old widow woman said, I just got enough to make one more meal and me and my son gonna eat it and we both gonna die. So that was my thought.

[19:26] Well, I give you half of it. He said, well, I wouldn't give you half of it. He said, I give you all of it. You know how that makes you feel? That's generosity.

[19:38] That is unselfishness. That is love in essence. Never selfish, never sire, never bitter. Seeks only good for others and does not retaliate or seek revenge when a perceived wrong has happened.

[19:51] Can you say amen? Number seven, love is a good temper and a good temper is love in disposition. Never irritated. Oh, never resentful.

[20:03] That is love in disposition. Righteousness, huh? Good temper and temperance is the same thing.

[20:16] Good temper, amen. Having a good temper, temperance, being temperate in all things. Righteousness is love and conduct. Hate sin. Righteousness hates sin. Never glad when others go wrong.

[20:29] You know, we've had somebody fall down. I knew they weren't gonna make it. I could just tell the way they walk. I could tell the way they act. I could tell the way they sit there. Hey, what did you do to try to help them make it when you saw that they were growing weak and about to fail?

[20:40] What did you do? You didn't love. Amen. Amen. Always gladdened by goodness to others. Eager to believe the best. Eager to believe the best.

[20:51] And always hopeful. Always enduring. And last but not least, sincerity is love and profession. Never boastful. Never conceited.

[21:02] Not a hypocrite, but always honest. Leaves no impression but what is strictly true. Never self-asserting. Does not blaze out in passion and anchor nor brood over wrongs.

[21:13] Always just, loyal, truthful. Knows how to be silent. Man, that's one thing. Hey, Psalms 141 verse 3. Set a watch before my mouth.

[21:27] Set a watch before my mouth. That's what David was saying. Knows how to be silent. Knows how not to talk when you shouldn't talk. And how many knows that one of our biggest faults and failures here at Riverside is we don't know how to guard our mouth and to set a watch before our lips.

[21:43] And when we see something and we just got to blab it and tell it and revel in it. We like an old dog. I have dogs and I've noticed how the nature of a dog is. You can clean that dog up and he can walk out across the yard but just as soon as he finds where something has died and it rotted in the ground, you know what he's going to do?

[22:00] He's going to lay down and he's going to get on his back and he's going to wallow in it. That's the nature of a dog. What do we do when we find something dead and stinking and putrid in the church?

[22:12] Do we try to cover it up? Or do we get down and wallow in it? And we find out about it and let me, hello, yeah. Well, I just think we ought to pray. Uh-huh. What are you going to pray about?

[22:22] Well, all that mess going on in church. Oh, what mess? Oh, you didn't know? Well, I'm not talking now. We're just going to pray. Yeah, we're going to pray all right. We're going to eat it up and chew them out and spit them out and do every ungodly thing we can do to them.

[22:34] Amen? So let me hurry along here. That didn't cost you anything. That's all free. Somebody say, it's all free. Praise God. If you didn't get them, the nine ingredients of love, of divine love, of godly love, is patience.

[22:55] And patience means love passive. Love is passive. You're patient. When somebody does you wrong, you don't jump up and throw a fit. You're just passive. You sit there.

[23:06] Amen? How many of those we need this kind of love? How many of those my wife needs this kind of love? Because I looked at her and you know what she's thinking? Boy, man, you're preaching yourself this morning.

[23:18] Amen. Love, divine love is kindness. And kindness is love in action. Generosity is love in competition. Humility is love in hiding.

[23:38] Three is generosity in competition. All right, hold on a minute. I forgot I was in Riverside. Patience. Patience.

[23:48] That's the first one, see? That's what I thought. I thought you all would get that. That's why I said that. My wife said, you didn't have no business saying that.

[23:59] She just needs to be patient because she don't hear what else I'm going to say. Patience is love passive. It's not in a hurry. I'm going to hurry up and love you if you hurry up and love me.

[24:12] Everybody got love passive? It's patience. Divine love is kindness and kindness is love in action. You're kind to a person, especially children.

[24:23] You know, it's easy to be kind to children because they're not going to say anything back to you, you know, so you can be kind to children. Kindness is love in action. Generosity is love in competition. You don't have to be right or first or best or tops.

[24:40] Generosity. I'll let you in. You know, I'll even make it so you don't know that I'm letting you in. I'll build you up. Amen? Generosity. Humility is love in hiding.

[24:52] Somebody say amen. Courtesy is love in society. Love in society. You don't have to know them. You're just courteous. If somebody falls down, you go over and help pick them up.

[25:02] Don't say, oh no, I might, you know, let them fall. Let them get up the best way they did. Got down by themselves. That's the way we look at Christians. Amen? Unselfishness is love in essence.

[25:15] That is what really what love is all about is unselfishness. Never selfish, sour, bitter, seeks only good for others, does not retaliate or seek revenge. Good temper is love and disposition.

[25:28] How many needs a good temper? A good, a temperate person is one who doesn't fly off the handle and, and blow their stack and neither do when something goes wrong they don't get down in the pit and say, oh, woe is me.

[25:42] Alas, alas, my savior died. Righteousness is love is love in conduct.

[25:52] Hate sin. Never glad to see others go wrong. Always glad by goodness to others. Always slow to expose. Always eager to believe the best.

[26:04] Always hopeful. Always enduring. And number nine, love is sincerity. And sincerity is love in profession. Never boastful.

[26:16] Never conceited. Not a hypocrite. Always honest. Leaves no impression but what is strictly true. Never self, self-assertive. Does not blaze out in passion.

[26:28] Anger. Nor brood over wrongs. Always just, joyful, truthful. Know how to be silent. Man, I, I wish I could get some people to get that letter.

[26:40] Know how to be silent. Full of trust. Always present. Always present. Always present. Always present. Always present.

[26:53] You know how you can tell if you're a sincere Christian? When it's church time you're always present. Can somebody say I'm always present? For the most part we got some sincere Christians around here.

[27:05] Can you say amen? Now, that didn't cost you a thing. It was all free. I wouldn't even aim to spend no, nothing like that time on that. I'm just going to run it down through there real quick. But what does love mean to you?

[27:16] If somebody was to ask you what does love mean to you? What is love? What is love? Love is desire. It is deeds and tender feelings. It's affection. It's strong likeness. It's passion. It's to feel or to show delight in, to take pleasure.

[27:30] It's agape, divine love, sacred love, costliness. It is charity. It is God in you and it's voluntary giving of oneself.

[27:42] Can somebody say amen? What does love mean to you? See, if we just think it means, well, I'm going to go out and make love. Well, you ain't going to do it. You're going to make love. That means you got to make God for God is love.

[27:53] Can somebody say amen? All right. Hallelujah. Love. Jesus didn't just love his neighbor. He said a new commandment that I've given to you that you love your neighbor even as yourself.

[28:11] And Jesus didn't just love his neighbor, but he loved his neighbor more than he loved himself because when it came time, he could have called 10,000 angels and said, hey, y'all sin, bear the brunt of it. But he didn't do it.

[28:22] He took our sins. He loved us more than he loved himself. Can somebody say amen? Hallelujah. And to prove it, one thing to say, I love you. It's another thing to say, I really love you and I'm going to prove it because I'm going to be there.

[28:37] Amen? When you're wrong, I'm not going to point it out. I mean, I was real quick to point out. I mean, I'm not able to say something wrong today and 15 people after church did you know that you said it was September the 3rd instead of September the 4th?

[28:55] And I was like, you know, what really difference does it make? I had a wedding here a while back. What was your wedding day? 23rd of February. See there?

[29:05] He didn't hear another thing I said in that whole thing but he heard me say the 25th. Now, I know I said the 23rd because I had it written down and I read it off. See, but him. Now, somebody told me I said the 24th.

[29:18] No, we don't want that kind of proof. No, no videos allowed. No videos allowed. No more videos. You can take pictures but no videos allowed because then they record what you say because somebody said, I stopped somebody.

[29:32] I said, what day did I say it was? They said, the 24th. And then I was thinking, what difference does it make what day I said if it was 23rd, 24th, or 25th?

[29:44] God knows what day it was. Amen? Amen. When Jesus called his disciples to be ready to lay down their lives for each other even for their enemies, are we a disciple of Christ?

[29:58] Are we his disciples? Hello? Brother Larry said, you ain't hearing me. You're not hearing me. Did Jesus call us to be disciples?

[30:10] What did he tell them in Matthew 28 and 19 and 20? He said, and go there into the world and make disciples. We are to be disciples. Amen? All right. Then Jesus told his disciples, amen, to be ready to lay down their lives for each other.

[30:25] Lay down your life for somebody else. Why? Why was this such a big point? Why did he have to stress it four times? Why did, you know, any time you see Jesus stressing something like this, there's a reason for it.

[30:39] And here's the reason for it. It's because during that period of time, the disciples, and there was many teachers. Jesus wasn't the only teacher. There were many teachers throughout the land. And they all had the attributes of their teacher.

[30:52] All of the disciples, all of the students of that particular teacher, whether it was Aristotle or one of those other great teachers or something like that, you know, giving you all these big theories and all this stuff.

[31:05] Then the people that followed them had their nature and they had, and they walked like them, they talked like them. Jesus said, if you're my disciples love one another, hereby shall men know that you're my disciples when they see your love.

[31:18] Hey, people look at us and they can't really tell if we love Jesus or not because they can't see our love manifested. Amen. Because we're too ready to point out their faults and their failures and their wrongdoing, not knowing that at one time we were in the same place that they were, but God had mercy.

[31:33] God didn't throw us out. God, he didn't throw the clay away. He just molded it again, began to fashion and form it again. Amen. But we're so quick to judge, to get rid of, to say, I don't need it, I don't want it, I don't want them.

[31:46] Get rid of them. Lord, give me somebody else. Hallelujah. Let me back up here a couple of pages because the note I wanted was right back here and it says, I got this in the first place.

[32:02] what Jesus told the woman at the well, give me a drink of water and she said, what are you a Samaritan doing asking me of water?

[32:13] Don't, you know, I always thought y'all didn't have anything to us and Jesus said, if you knew who it was, if you knew who it was that asked you for a drink of water, you would ask me and I would give you that living water.

[32:25] Can somebody say living water? Living water, springing up to everlasting life. Living water. Now, when he was talking about that living water, he was talking about a well and I can give you all kind of scriptures here because that was my first thing that I was going to preach on but I'm skipping all them and coming to this one.

[32:41] All kind of scriptures where God is going to give us living water. We don't need dead water. We don't need stagnant water. We don't need polluted water. We need living water. Can somebody say amen? Living, life-giving, living water that flows from God above.

[32:55] You can't find it on Wall Street that sweet release. Worth more than all the oil in the Middle East does nothing alcoholic make you feel no pain. But it's the Holy Ghost and fire and you get it in Jesus' name. Can somebody say amen? Hallelujah.

[33:06] Hallelujah. So, he gave them living water. Do you know what happens when a woman becomes impregnated and the belly begins to expand?

[33:17] And, in that belly, there's something growing in there. water, but also, there's a liquid fluid that's in that water that that baby is surrounded by. It not only surrounds it, it cradles it.

[33:28] Amen? Do you know what that, you know what that living water is? That water has life in it. That water, that water is the cradle that the baby is holding that baby in.

[33:42] It is nourishment. It keeps its skin from drying out. Hey, it's the DNA from the almighty God. Amen? And, and you know what happens when, right before a woman gets ready to give birth?

[33:59] The water breaks. After the water comes the blood. The Bible says, it's not him that came by water only, but by water and blood. Amen? Jesus Christ came by water and blood.

[34:11] I came by water and blood. Amen? Everybody that's been born of a woman came by water and blood. Amen? When we go to heaven, we're going to heaven by water and blood. Amen? Somebody say amen. I know that's a little deep. That just, that thought just ran in there from something else I've been preaching on.

[34:26] Hallelujah. Now, now, there's a, there's a saying that says, the fruit of the womb. Fruit of the womb?

[34:38] Or fruit of the loom. They make underwear but then there's also a fruit of the womb. The fruit of this Kleenex box right here is what's inside of it.

[34:52] Can you say amen? There's something that, that, that makes it special. When you get the seed of Jesus Christ inside of you, when you get the seed of Jesus Christ inside of you, what is the seed?

[35:17] It's the word. And in the beginning was the word and the word was with God. And the word was God. And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. We beheaded as glory as only we got another father. When we get the seed of Jesus Christ, we don't get, when we get, when we get born again, we don't get the full stature of Jesus.

[35:31] We get him in a seed form. And understanding that God is love, what we have inside of us is love. Growing inside of every true Christian is a seed and this seed is called love and this love is called the word of God.

[35:49] Amen? But there's something that cradles the word of God and it's this life-giving, living water. Can everybody say life-giving, living water.

[36:01] Amen. And now, this Kleenex box here kind of, kind of, kind of is a representation of a womb. And do you know what, do you know what Jesus said he came to do? He came to give his love.

[36:14] He came to give this life-giving, living water. He, he, he, he, see, not just regular love like other people have.

[36:25] Not, not, not just Eros love. You know, but agape love. He came to give his life. If, if, if we will take this baby and I call it baby love.

[36:37] Because when we first get saved, we get baby love inside of us. That's my whole, that's my whole title of my message right here, baby love. I want baby love. I want baby love when I look at, when I look at the baby, I don't look for fault.

[36:50] When we look at other Christians, we're trying to find out what's wrong with them. What are they doing that I don't agree with? What's, what's not part of my doctrine, my theology? You know, what, what is it about them? When I look at a baby, I'm not caring. You know, I'm not asking, are you Baptist or Methodist or Pentecost?

[37:02] Do you, have you spoken in tongues yet? You haven't been baptized in Jesus' name yet. You know, it's your name written in the Lamb of Life. You know, I'm not worried about, I say, oh, look at that beautiful child. Oh, you know, sometimes being forced a little bit when they're not all that pretty because when they, you know, they've been squished coming out of there and they ain't all that pretty.

[37:17] You know, like I just had a brand new little baby girl. How old is she now? Four months old. Now, she's absolutely dropped dead, knocked dead gorgeous right now, but, but, you know, about 30 minutes after she was born, thank God she had all of her fingers and toes and everything in the right place, but she wasn't all that pretty.

[37:36] She was red. She'd been doing, she'd been through a big, she went through the press. Anybody here been in the press? She went through the press, amen, and after you've been through the press, you can't pop right up and look all rosy, you know.

[37:48] It takes some time, amen, to come out of it after you've been through the press. Amen, now about four months later, that baby is so beautiful, I mean, she had just dropped dead gorgeous and I just get choked up here thinking about it, but you know what?

[38:00] We should be looking for that love, that baby love inside of every Christian, amen, and we should not look on the outside but look on the inside and say, my Lord, honey, you just dropped dead gorgeous. I just love you.

[38:11] I love that baby love that's inside of you. Yomoriasatama kuriasaha. Woo! Yomoriasatama ha. Glory. Woo!

[38:22] If I put this baby called love in this living water, which is my womb, baby love will come alive and it'll be kicking and it'll be breathing and it'll be moving and it'll be loving.

[38:34] If I really have baby love inside of me, then I'm going to give birth to it. I may not have given birth to it yet, but I'm going to give birth to it. If you're impregnated with something, sooner or later, woo!

[38:46] A normal pregnancy only lasts for about nine months. Some of us have been impregnated around here for years and years and years trying to give birth to love but giving birth to hate, giving birth to discontent, giving birth to strife and envy and backbiting and everything, amen?

[39:01] But if we keep it in there, keep on praying over it, keep on saying, God, bring this thing, bring this love forth out of me, out of my innermost being, God. Yomriya salamaha. Woo!

[39:14] Then when love, that old song says, when love come knocking, you better answer the door, amen? Because love is going to come knocking on your door and that love is going to be Jesus Christ.

[39:26] I was talking to Tillman yesterday. I said, you coming to church tonight? Oh, I might be down there. I knew he, well, I figured he wasn't, but he came down here in the last couple of weeks, a couple of times, and I said, you know, you're playing with God, more or less.

[39:40] I said, you know, the door's only going to be open so long, Jesus is getting ready to come. Saints of God are getting ready to go. I said, you know, after the rapture, you're going to be too late.

[39:51] You know, why don't you come on and get in now, get in the ark now, while there's still time. Oh, yeah. He'll tell you anything, just get you to leave. Oh, yeah.

[40:05] He's trying to tell me about the war over and, you know, how bad it's getting. I said, yeah, it's going to get worse than that. You know what happened in 1967? The headlines of every newspaper in the world said the Arabs vowed to push the Jews into the Mediterranean Sea and annihilate them.

[40:21] And 200 million Jews, 200 million Arabs went to war. That's way off my subject. Went to war against 200,000 Jews. And you know what happened? The Jews kicked their butt all the way back to the Nile River.

[40:32] The Egyptians and pushed the Assyrians back. Said, boys, y'all don't want none of us. Hey, we just want to live. It's getting so bad over there right now that every day, every day, every day, every day, every day. And you know, and what I'm afraid of is that now Mr. Colin Powell is having some problems with the Jewish people.

[40:48] And pretty soon, Mr. Bush might have some problems with them either. But let me tell you what, I am proud to be an American as long as America stands behind God and stands behind Israel. Amen? But when they turn their back on God and God's people, that's when I'm not going to be proud to be an American anymore.

[41:01] Amen? My allegiance, first of all, is to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen? The God who came down and loved me and gave His life for me. And when I read in the Bible that the children of Israel are His chosen people.

[41:13] They are. He came to His own, His own received Him, but to as many as received Him, to them gave Him power for they come to the Son of God. Amen? But He didn't forsake them. He gave them a bill of divorcement.

[41:25] But just like Hosea, He's going to go back. He's coming back. Right now, God allowed them to be blinded so that they couldn't understand the... I'll get to my message in here. So they couldn't understand the gospel so that the Gentile nation, you and I, could get in.

[41:38] But hey, in the end, in the end, Jesus Christ didn't come as an American. He didn't come as an Armenian or an Arabian or anything else. He came as a Jew. And He lived here as a Jew.

[41:49] And that same Jesus you saw go away, He's going to come back again. And He's coming back as a Jew. So if you've got a problem with the Jewish people, you better get down and pray through and get the love of God back in your heart. Can somebody say amen? And that didn't cost you a thing either.

[42:02] Just a little bit of Maya. What do you call it? Politics. I thank God we've got a president that I'm not worried about who's got a cigar playing with this in his office.

[42:19] Amen? That we're not worried about the Monica Lewiskies and all them other women all the way down there. We're not worried about the white water. You know, we're not worried that we get over tomorrow they're going to come out with another thing. And He's going to say, well now just what is sex?

[42:33] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[42:48] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. I believe that as far as he knows, being a Baptist, he's not filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Man, I could preach you a message on that and on the wise and foolish virgins and all that.

[43:02] But he's trying to be led by the Spirit of God. Amen? You ought to turn them things off when you come to church. You ought to turn them things off when you come to church because I guarantee you the devil is going to call you up.

[43:19] Somebody say amen. You know, I got one of them electronic leashes. I thought it was a good idea when I first got it. And I found out all it is is where somebody can keep track of me 24 hours a day.

[43:34] And so if I'm going to do something I want to do and I don't want to be disturbed, I'll leave it in the car. When I get back, they want to know, why didn't you answer your phone? Because I didn't want to talk to you right then. Sorry. Don't want to talk to you.

[43:46] Can somebody say amen? Now, how many has prayed a lot of prayers and been waiting for prayers to get answered, but your prayers aren't getting answered? Yeah, I know.

[43:57] Me too. I'm not trying to point anybody out. But let me tell you what the Bible says. The reason that sometimes our prayers aren't getting answered is because what is it that makes faith work?

[44:08] What is it that makes faith work? The Bible said, faith which worketh my love. Somebody said, where is that at? It's in Galatians 5, 6.

[44:19] Faith which works. Hey, because how can I not love you and say, oh, Lord, you know I need this. You know I need, you know, oh, that goes that stinking Jesse. I ain't no telling what he's doing.

[44:30] He probably the first shot. Faith and obedience. Faith and obedience. He makes me sick and he does that. And I'm going to tell you, you need to go get saved. Sanctified. Filled with the Holy Ghost and you won't be trying to pick on people, God.

[44:43] Amen. Amen. And then we wonder why our prayers aren't heard. Why our families aren't getting saved. Why our finances are in such a horrible mess. You know why? Because faith works by love. And if you don't have love, your faith ain't going to do you no good.

[44:56] Though I have the gift of tongues and understand all mysteries, though I can say to the mountain, like that grain of mustard seed, be that removed and cast into the sea. If I don't have love, if I don't have that faith, amen, that works by love, and that's what's going to make it happen.

[45:10] That's what's going to get your prayers answered. But as long as I can, I say, well, no, I don't like it, Missy. It really makes me mad. There's a trippy telephone ring. I'm just trying to preach my message. Amen. Then God said, you ain't learned your lesson yet, old boy.

[45:23] Put you through the fire again. He never promised. Cross wouldn't get heavy. He said, I'll put you through the fire again. Now, in 1 John 2, 5, it said, whosoever keepeth his word or his commandment in him is truly is the love of God.

[45:37] Now, his word, you can't get his word just by glossing over the Bible. I think I'll read, I'm going to go read my Bible and just flip over there.

[45:50] Well, Jim beget John, John beget Joel, and Joel beget Obadiah, and Obadiah beget Nahum, and Nahum beget Zachariah. You know, all right. I read my Bible today, and you didn't get a stinking thing out of it.

[46:01] You just wasted your time. Make yourself feel a little bit better. But we need to get into the word of God and find out what it means. Find out what love is. I'm not telling you anything that you can't look in your Bible.

[46:12] And if you can't find out what it means, it's 1 John 3. Amen? Now, that's right after 1 John 2 and right before 1 John 4. Oh, no 1 John 4? Oh, yeah, it is.

[46:23] I'm just checking you out for a second. 1 John 3, beginning in the 11th verse. 1 John 3, 11 through 18. This is what it says here. For this is the message.

[46:35] Somebody said, I ain't got nothing to preach. Here's your message. You want something to preach? Here's your message. That you heard it from the beginning. That we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother.

[46:50] Don't we think it's awful that Cain slew his brother? Isn't that just awful? Cain slew Abel? Ain't that terrible? Ain't that horrible? And yet, somebody in church will do something.

[47:01] Somebody in church will get a little bit more attention from the pastor. Brother Van asked them to pray. You didn't ask me to preach. And I told you, I don't really like them anyway. And the way they sing, it just makes me sick, you know.

[47:14] We're missing something. We're missing something. We're missing something. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning. That we should love one another. Not as Cain, who loved the wicked one. Who was of the wicked one, who slew his brother.

[47:26] And why did he slay him? Because his own works were evil. And his brother's righteous. Why did Cain kill Abel? Because Abel's works were evil.

[47:37] But, brother Van, he brought the best sacrifice that he had. God don't want the best sacrifice you got. He said it's going to be the blood. And my way are the highway. Amen. One way. Because his works were evil.

[47:50] And his brothers were good. Marvel not. My brethren, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death unto life. Because. Now how do we know that we passed from death unto life?

[48:03] Because. How do we know we passed from death unto life? Because we love. The brethren.

[48:16] He that loveth not his brother. Abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother. Is a murderer. Well, I didn't kill him.

[48:28] Not with a gun. You didn't stab him in the back with a knife. But you took your tongue and you cut him up. That old saying. You know, sticks and stones may break my bones. But words will never harm me.

[48:38] But that's not true. The words that you speak. Can be life giving. Or they can be killing. Amen. Whosoever hateth his brother. And. And. And. And.

[48:48] I wish I could read. The word hate means to detest. Boy, I wrote another word there. I can't even read it. But it also means that the essence of this word.

[48:58] Hateth here. Means to love less. So when you really want to tell somebody off. You say. I love you. Less than I love anybody. You're right on the bottom of my list. You're right under the devil.

[49:10] You didn't say you hate them. You just said you loved them less. Well, that doesn't sound too nice. Does it? But the word hateth. Means to love less. When you look it up in your concordance.

[49:24] Somebody say. Well, I look around here. I see some that I love less. Amen. How many believe that Jesus loved some of his disciples more than he loved the other? How many believe that some of Jesus' disciples loved him more than the others did?

[49:38] You know what they said about one of them? He said. And then cometh the one whom the Lord loveth. There was one that he showed more attention to. You know why?

[49:50] Anybody know why? Anybody know why? They don't tell you who it was. But we have found out that, you know, we can. Even though it don't say that it was John. We know it was John. You know.

[50:00] Because of all the scriptures. The one that the Lord loveth. The one who stood there. At the cross. And said. Hey, you're going to crucify him. You can crucify me too. Because I'm not running. Let Peter and James and John and all the rest of them run. I'm staying right here.

[50:11] I'm staying right here with this mama. That's why Jesus could look from the cross. He said. Son, behold your mother. Mother, behold your son. One time when Jesus was there preaching. And they sent a message in there to him. And said. Your mother wants to see you. And Jesus sent the message back to him.

[50:22] He said. Who is my mother? Who is my brother? But he that doeth the will of the father. Did Jesus love everybody equally? Did Jesus really have that kind of love?

[50:33] Oh, I can love, you know. What I'm trying to show you is how short we're falling of the love of God. And this is the message that we've heard from the beginning. That God is love. And if you don't love.

[50:44] If you don't have love. Then you don't have God. Can somebody say amen? Amen. He said. My little children let us not love in word. Neither in tongue. But let us love in deed. And in truth.

[50:56] Can somebody say amen? In deed and in truth. Two ways to love. In deed. And in truth. By definite acts. And by being genuine. In a profession.

[51:07] That we love them. Amen. Now. Dropping on over to the next page. Because this is in 1 John. The 4th chapter. You like this?

[51:18] Well good. I'm kind of worried I wasn't getting anointing. I'm not doing much running. And not. Not. Yeah. Come on. In 1 John.

[51:30] The 4th chapter. And the 16th verse. It says. And we have known. And believe. The love of God.

[51:47] Hath to us. And we have known. Now you got to read it slow. To get it down. Get it down. Where you understand it. And we have known. The love of God. And we have believed. The love.

[51:58] That God hath to us. God is love. And he that dwelleth in love. He that dwelleth in love. Can somebody say. He that dwelleth in love.

[52:10] Dwelleth in God. And God. In him. Now how are we going to get God. Inside of us. He that dwelleth.

[52:21] You know. We're talking about. When we come to the altar. God gets inside of us. We ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins. And his spirit comes in. Takes up a boat in us. Amen. But the whole process. Is for us to get back into.

[52:32] Jesus Christ. How are we going to get back into. Jesus Christ. Other than crucifying our flesh. And learning how to put on God. Put you on the Lord Jesus Christ. And make not provision for the flesh. To fulfill the lust thereof. Amen.

[52:43] We get back into Jesus Christ. By learning to love. As he loved us. Only through learning to love. As he loved us. Can we be like him. And can he. And will he abide in us.

[52:54] Amen. Because sometimes. The fits that I throw. I know God said. Wait a minute. You're going to throw a fit. I'm stepping out of this mess. And you know. All right. Now when you get through throwing your little fit. And you pray through. Then I'll come back in. But I ain't going to be part of that mess.

[53:06] Anybody here ever throw the fit. And you think. Where'd that spirit come from. My Lord. I just want to go. I'm saying. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. And all of a sudden. Then somebody gorges you. You or steps on your toe. And you're down there. Hey stupid.

[53:16] I'm trying to pray. Get away from me. See. We're missing the mark. We're missing it. Just a little levity.

[53:28] But that's got a lot of truth to it. So if you really have God. And I've tried to tell you what all love is about.

[53:40] And the ingredients of love. Then you really have. This baby inside of you. Trying to come to full birth. Trying to grow up. Let me read my notes here.

[53:51] I have a living object of Christ's love inside me. Living in me. Baby love. Baby love. My baby. Baby love. Amen. Is.

[54:02] Baby love. Is Jesus inside of us. He's tender. He's affectionate. He's caring. Amen. What do you pick up a baby? Oh yeah.

[54:12] Look at that. Can I have your child? Can I think about that? Well Lord no. No. Not if I don't want to get the rest of that mom on me. Baby love.

[54:22] Is tender. Is affectionate. Is kind. Is cuddle. You know. That's why. I hug a lot of people. And the reason why I hug them is because. I've got the love of God in me.

[54:33] And I want to share that love. Maybe they've just been rejected. Maybe they feeling so damn. They don't feel like nobody loves them or care. And if they get around me. If I get the opportunity. I want to put them on me. I'm going to say. Hey. I told you I love you today.

[54:43] Tell my daughters that. Tell my grandchildren that. Amen. And now I've started telling people in churches. So don't think it's a personal. Eros type love. It's agape love.

[54:54] Have I told you. Hey. And it's not me doing that. Because that's not my nature. I'm. Hey. I'm just a sinner saved by the grace of God. When that love is coming out. And you feel it. That is God.

[55:04] That. Hey. That's baby love. Inside of me. Amen. Trying to show itself out. Amen. Trying to say. Lord. I'm loving others. Lord. Don't let me miss the rapture. Lord. If it takes me having this kind of love.

[55:15] Lord. Don't let me miss it. Because I want to go. I. I want to do. I want to walk. I want to run. I want to. I want to climb. I want to learn. I want to grow. I want to do everything you want me to do Lord. I don't want to be.

[55:26] Handicapped. I don't want to be crippled. In any area of my spiritual growth. Amen. But I want to go. And I want to grow. And I want to be all that I can be. Through Christ Jesus. But without love. I can't be anything. Without love.

[55:37] I can't be anything. Can somebody say amen. You have to practice loving. And you have to practice love. You have to. You have to. You have to practice accepting love.

[55:50] Some folks. I go and put my arm around them. Try to. You know. I'm going to hug them. And you know. You know. I'm not going to bite you. My name's not Mike Tyson.

[56:01] I ain't going to bite your ear. You have to practice. What you preach. I did have a car.

[56:14] But that verse says. Practice. My wife got that for me. Practice what you preach. Do you want love? I mean. He wants to be loved. Wants to be accepted. You know.

[56:26] Then if you want it. You got to give it out. He gives you a little bit of it. To see what you're going to do with it. What are you going to do with this little love that God gave us? You're going to keep it. Oh I got it. I got it.

[56:37] No you can't have it. You can't play. It's mine. It's mine. It's all mine. No. You give it away. You know what the Lord says. I said. When you do that love I gave you a while ago. Oh well I saw somebody else that needed a kind word. I saw somebody that needed help.

[56:48] I saw somebody that needed to lift up. So I gave it to him. Oh wait a minute. You need a double dose. Let me just fill you up with it. Amen. If you're going to give it out. Because now you're learning what it's all about.

[57:00] It's giving out that love that God has put inside of us. And looking for it. Looking for that love in others. Because your personal nature I probably won't like. And you won't like my personal nature either.

[57:10] But I love that Christ that's inside of you. That baby love that's trying to get out of you. Amen. Pardon me. Got an overflow here.

[57:24] Some people say well I've got love. But it must be stillborn. Because they're not showing it. And they're not sharing it. They're not giving it. They're not living it.

[57:40] And if you've got stillborn love. If you've got stillborn love. See my mother had a stillborn baby. It's between me and my sister. And it's born dead. A lot of folks come to the altar.

[57:52] And go through the motions. Of giving the heart and life to God. But they walk out of the church. And there's no love there. There's no life there. They don't ever come back. Well brother Van.

[58:03] The Bible said. He that come within me. I don't know why it's cast out. No God didn't cast them out. They were stillborn. They were born dead. Sad situation.

[58:14] But I see it all the time. Let me tell you something. I have spoke to people who came to church. And I have enough sense to understand why people come to church.

[58:26] You think I'm coming because of the revival and what's going on. I'm coming because somebody asked me to come. I'm coming because I like the music. I'm coming because I like brother Van. No. No. No. No. No.

[58:36] No.

[58:57] I'm just not ready. You're not telling me. You're not rejecting me. You're rejecting God. and it's sad they came you know it was God's will for them to be God said it's not my will that any should perish but that all should come through everlasting life it's not his will his spirit draw them in here for them to get saved no I'm not ready I don't want to quit I don't want to quit what I'm doing I don't want to obligate myself to have to come to church all the time you know I don't want to obligate myself to have to pay my tithes I don't want to obligate myself to have to love that stinking sister Connie you know how she is you know I just don't want to be obligated well then go down and tell the city clerk's office to cut off your water and your gas and everything because you don't want to be obligated because if you don't pay your bill they're going to cut it off well so then it comes on now you don't want to be obligated to God you just don't want to live right God's drawing you you see nobody would go to hell and say I didn't have an opportunity I didn't have a chance because the Bible says time and chance comes to every person amen he will cause you the devil will cause you to get mad he'll cause you to throw a fit he'll cause you to run off and and what did I say there sometimes I write this stuff

[60:14] I can't even explain it myself and try to find remember those songs looking for love in all the wrong places that's all I know about that too many faces looking for love that's what the devil gets you want you to do they don't love me there so I'm going to run off I'm going to find me some love somewhere else I'm going to find me some love and you know and and and and maybe a relationship now let me tell you what you're getting a relationship that's out of God you ain't found love you found hell I'm gonna find love and I'm gonna get me you know I'm gonna smoke some cigarettes I'm gonna get me some dope I'm gonna drink me some beer you ain't finding love you're finding hell you're finding misery you're finding everything you're trying to get away from and your life is gonna be pure hell if you want to find love you gotta find God if you want to find God you ain't gonna find him out there in the bar somewhere amen you ain't gonna find him rubbing bellies with somebody else's wife or somebody else's husband amen you ain't gonna find him calling in bed with every time Dick and Harry comes down the street you're gonna find God at God's house if I if you come looking for me look come to come to my house because nine times out of ten that's where I'm gonna be and if I'm not there you leave a note then I'll come looking for you but don't come looking for me down there at the bar because I ain't gonna be there don't come look at me at the pool room I don't hang around the pool room no more don't hey you're wasting your time looking for love in all the wrong places amen hallelujah trying to find love outside of Jesus Christ trying to find pleasure you're gonna be the biggest failure that ever hit the big time sanctity you say well the devil say well I can't live it never say anybody I can't live it tell me that all the time well you can't live it brother Ben well you can't live it sister Flo well you can't know you can't live it David Wade well sister Carol you know you can't live it and you know what the answer is that's exactly right I can't live it but I got baby love inside of me you know what this baby love that's inside of me makes me more than a conqueror makes me more than an overcomer makes me able to do all things through Christ who is my strength and not in my own strength because when I am weak what's weaker than a baby when I am weak then am I made strong for my strength is perfected in my weakness amen and I can't do it God I can't do it he said that's right honey lean on me when you're not strong

[62:36] I'll be your friend amen I'll help you to carry on somebody say amen hallelujah all I have to say Lord Lord love love me and then let me love that person that that that's giving me such a hard way hard time to go that that that I'm trying to give them my love and and they just push it back because they don't want it help me Lord to keep on loving that person help me Lord to give them a little bit my baby love you want some my baby love you know what somebody no I don't want none you want some baby love oh yeah I love it here wait a minute give you too much you want some baby love you want some baby love you want a little bit of baby love amen that's what hey that baby love is God that's the God that's inside of you and you ain't got the full measure that you know we have not yet come into the measure the fullness of the measure of stature of Jesus Christ amen we're trying to grow up in him but right now honey you got to start out with this baby love we got to get right back down to the roots amen this is the message this is the first message if you don't learn if you don't know anything about if water baptism isn't important even the blood you might know all the things all the sides three sides to the blood three sides to the fire three sides to water 16 degrees of intelligence 22 all that six different hearts three different souls it don't matter if you don't have love you don't know anything amen if you don't have love you don't have anything if I got all knowledge and I know all mysteries if I don't have love

[64:06] I don't have love I don't have anything 1 John 4 greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world you say Lord let me love them through you because I don't love their nature I don't love their temper I don't love their actions but Lord God give me that kind of love that when I was unlovable you loved me and let me love them through you amen when you get two Christians fighting and telling each other off that's almost an oxymoron two Christians fighting because two Christians are not going to be fighting you're going to have two devils fighting but when you get two Christians supposed to be fighting and they telling each other off and well I see but I see but and then you call them a little bit later and say who won that argument you go to this well I did because I really told him you go to this well I won that argument

[65:07] I really told him and you know who really won the argument the devil the devil that had you trying to cut down your brother and sister instead of instead of giving them love you know when I found out the Bible said a kind word turneth away wrath a kind word turneth away wrath you you're driving down the road and somebody flips you the bird and you give them this sign right here I love you you flip me the bird hey I'm sorry you feel that way I'm sorry I cut you off I'm sorry I put on my brakes I'm sorry I honked my horn I love you well you can give this sign of a cross you know peace everybody loses there's no winners when two Christians start fighting but everybody loses let me read you one more scripture here it's in it's in 1st John also it's in the 4th chapter and the 5th verse and it says they are of the world therefore they speak of the world and the world heareth them we are of God he that knoweth God heareth us he that is not of God heareth not us hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error now listen you can just preach the rest of the day on this right here just one thing but let me just read it to you again and we pray that God will let this soak into your spirit we are of God we are of God that means that that God is our father we're born of the spirit of God he that knoweth God hears us he that is not of God heareth not us that's why if you try to go out there and you try to tell some sinner about some of your problems well they're going to say get out of here well you crazy thing well you're casting your pearl before the swine they're not going to want to hear what you what any of your problems are hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error beloved let us love one another for God is love and that everyone that loveth is born of God and knoweth God he that loveth not knoweth not God for God is love how many times did I say love then just a whole bunch of times do you know why why would he keep on using that word he's trying to tell us that we need to learn to love in this was manifested the love of God toward us because that God sent his only begotten son into the world that we might have lived through him herein is the love of God herein is love not that we love God but that he loved us and he sent his son to be a propitiation for our sin beloved if God so loved us we ought also to love one another can somebody say amen no man has seen God at any time if we love one another

[68:06] God dwelleth in him and his love is perfected in him no man seeth God at any time then he's talking about the love that's inside of you so what is it talking about when we begin to manifest the love of God then man can see God in us and the only way that man's ever gonna see God in us is through the love of God can somebody say amen hereby know we know hereby know we that we dwell in him now how are you gonna get in him I've been preaching for a long time we got God in us now we gotta get back in him how are we gonna get into him hereby we know that we dwell in him and he in us because he hath given us of his spirit and his spirit is love and we have seen and do the testify the things that the and sent that the father sent the son to be the savior of the world somebody say amen whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the son of God God dwelleth in him and he in God and we have known and believed the love that God hath to us

[69:07] God is love and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him hereby is our love made perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment hereby is our love made perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment see judgment is gonna come if you're a sinner it's gonna come at the great white throne judgment and you're gonna be judged by the things written in the book and then you're gonna be cast into the lake of fire which is a second death if you're a Christian and you're an overcomer you're still gonna have a day of judgment but you're gonna be judged at the judgment seat of Christ now this is what this is talking about herein is our love made perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as he is everybody say as he is as he is God is love so are we everybody say so are we in this world now I didn't make that up that's 1 John 4 17 but as he is as he is as he is so are we in this world we're the only Jesus that the world's ever gonna see they're not gonna see him coming in the because he's coming as the thief in the night he's coming from them that are watching amen he's coming from them that are preparing to go he's not coming for the sinners and the lost and everything he's coming for the saints and if we love God and God dwell within us then the only if they get saved they gotta see something inside of us that makes them want what we got they gotta see God and they gotta feel it when they say something they do it they go I ain't got time you gotta take time take a little time take a little time to be holy take a little time to be like Jesus take a little time to love because as he is so are we in the world and this and there is no fear in love for perfect love cast out and it doesn't say all fear which is the common misconception there perfect love cast out fear perfect love cast out fear my greatest fear is not that I'll go to hell because I know I'm not gonna go to hell my greatest fear is that I'll miss the rapture and the Bible said the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom brother man you're the pastor you're afraid you're gonna miss the rapture

[71:19] I live every day I try my best to watch what I say and to pray that when I do wrong I say Jesus please forgive me and wash that away because Lord if you come today I don't wanna miss it I wanna know that everything's alright and the only way that I can know that is if I repent there is no fear in love he loved me and you know I got saved because I was afraid that I didn't wanna go to hell and burn there forever but I don't stay saved because I'm afraid that I'm going to hell that's no longer even an option for me anymore hallelujah there is no fear in love I stay saved because I love God and the but love perfect love casteth out fear because fear hath torment he that feareth is not made perfect in love if we love him or we love him because he first loved us if any man say I love God this is what I said if any man say I love God and hated this brother he's a liar for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen how can he love God whom he hath not seen this commandment have we from him that he who loveth God loveth his brother also wherein whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God and everyone that loveth him that begeth love him also that is begotten now listen everyone that love him that beget also loves him that is begotten we love the brethren if we love God then we gotta love the brethren if we don't love the brethren we don't love God can somebody say amen for this is the love of God that we keep his commandments and his commandments are not grievous so whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world even your faith faith in what faith in the love of God can somebody say amen let us stand up this morning lift up our hands and thank the Lord for his love and his mercy hallelujah

[73:15] Lord Jesus we thank you Lord God for coming in this place today Lord God we felt your presence and your spirit Lord God into intercession and Lord God we felt your power when we began to lift up and manifest Lord your name Lord God we felt your glory and your anointing Lord God when we began to preach your word ask you Lord God Lord to give us more of your love Lord Lord God let that baby love that's inside of us Lord God begin to grow until it becomes to form mature adult love Lord God so that we can truly love as you love Lord God right now Lord we just love Lord those that love us but Lord your word says to even love your enemies and pray for them who would do despite it to you Lord Jesus help us Lord God today Lord to let our light shine in this lost and dying world in Jesus name somebody say amen amen give the Lord a big hand clap I love him I love him he called he first loved me and he purchased my salvation on Calvary tree

[74:47] I love him I love him I love him because he first loved me and he purchased my salvation all of Calvary tree praise the Lord amen do we got any announcements to make the next thing that's happening is what's the next thing that's happening when's the ladies meeting
