[0:00] Hallelujah, hallelujah. Set this right there, brother there. Folks, I'm burdened tonight.

[0:20] I fully realize that we are living in occupied territory. That right now this is the devil's world.

[0:32] That he's the prince and the power of the air. Like Abraham, we're strangers and pilgrims. Amen. We're going out looking for a city whose builder and maker is God.

[0:46] Amen. John the Revelator said, And I saw the new city. New Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

[1:04] I see it spiritually. I want to see it physically. Amen. I want to see it naturally. I found out a long time ago that there is going to be a wedding supper.

[1:26] And there's going to be a bride. And there's going to be best men and bridesmaids and guests at the wedding party.

[1:39] Amen. There's going to be saints that are going to be thirtyfold. And some are going to be sixtyfold. And some are going to be a hundredfold. Can you see it, man? Some of them are going to shine like the stars. And some are going to shine like the moon.

[1:50] And some are going to shine like the sun. Some of them are going to wear white robes. And some are going to wear white raiment. And some are going to wear white linen. That's why Revelation 19 and 7 says, Let us be glad and rejoice, for the marriage of the Lamb has come.

[2:06] And his bride was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, for fine linen is the righteousness of the saints. Now, I'm not an evangelist, never have been, never claimed to be, so I don't have one of those messages.

[2:21] You know, a lot of evangelists, they can get four or five good messages, and they go from town to town. And I've been here 17 years this month, so... I don't have a traveling evangelist message.

[2:36] But I'm troubled. I titled this message to the night, Truth is Falling in the Streets. Truth is Falling in the Streets.

[2:51] Let me read you something out of our paper yesterday, and if you've listened to talk radio, any of it, 970 a.m., you've heard all about this, and it just...

[3:01] In some ways, it's very depressing. Because, you know, what we're trying to project is that righteousness is going to become evil, overcome evil, and the saints are going to take this world, and all the sinners are going to see the light, and they're all going to get saved, and we're all going to go to heaven.

[3:27] And I like to tell you that's the way it's going to be, but that's not the way it's going to be. This is from Friday's paper, The Messer and Inquirer at Owensboro, down where I live.

[3:39] The Supreme Court on Thursday defied its strident conservative image by issuing two important rulings that, along with several others in its current term, embrace tolerance, inclusion, and even compassion in their interpretations of federal law.

[3:56] In a decision striking down a Texas sodomy law that banned gay sex, the Gwynnchrist Court mounted a firm and eloquent defense of personal liberty.

[4:11] I'm just a little bit sick. Y'all hold on while I get in here. In Thursday's 6-3 ruling on sodomy, Kennedy took the lead in declaring that the laws banning gay sex demeans homosexuals.

[5:01] Existence by their criminalizing their private behavior. The case involved two Texas men who were arrested after the police found them engaging in sexual activity in their home. Texas was one of the 13 states that prohibits sodomy and is one of the four that specifically banned oral and anal sex between same-sex couples.

[5:19] Thursday's ruling invalidated those laws. Lawyers for Texas said the law was designed to uphold moral standards and they drew a dark distinction between sex in the context of marriage or child rearing and sex in the context of a gay relationship.

[5:41] Gay couples should not marry or produce children, the state argued. So the relationships did not deserve the same privacy protections.

[5:53] The court's ruling not only restricted those positions, but it also went further to overturn a previous court ruling that permitted laws banning sodomy. Kennedy's opinion connected sodomy's laws to anti-gay discrimination and more fundamental assaults on personal liberty.

[6:10] And in a mood that is sure to anger social and religious conservatives, he invoked the reasoning in controversial abortion cases, Roe versus Wade, Planned Parenthood versus Casey, to justify the court's decision.

[6:25] Rarely would you see a justice so confident as to invoke controversial abortion doctrine in an opinion on another matter. I'm upset.

[6:40] My wife and I listen to it on the radio. Listen to the filth and truth.

[6:55] It's falling in the streets. Ezekiel 22 and 30 said, I sought for a man to stand in the gap and to make up the hedge, but I found none.

[7:10] Where's the preachers in America at tonight? Where are they going to be at tomorrow? I guarantee you, probably zero will have the guts to get up and say anything about this atrocity that is happening in the United States of America.

[7:29] One nation under God. Baloney. There's only one book in the whole wide world that tells you what's right and what's wrong.

[7:43] And that says this book right here. There is no other book. The Koran. There is nothing. There is no other book in the whole world that tells you what is right and what else. Tells you how to live.

[7:55] Tells you how to treat your neighbor. Tells you how to treat your God. The Holy Bible. The authorized King James Version is under an attack from the forces of hell.

[8:14] We've got all kind of good news for a modern man. And I ain't seen anything good that a modern man's ever done. King James Version came into effect in 1611 and for the last 1,392 years it's been a pretty good Bible.

[8:27] The Supreme Court of the United States of America is also proclaiming war against the Word of God.

[8:45] Because I'm going to read you a few scriptures here in a moment. Not going to keep you long but but I got to say it. I either got to say it or I got to quit preaching. Amen.

[9:02] This book is God's Holy Word. It tells us that we were born sinners and we need a Savior. Psalms 58, 3 said the wicked are estranged. You know what the word estranged means?

[9:13] That's not a word that us Pentecostals use every day. You know because a lot of us were born on the wrong side of the track. We didn't get to go to Yale or Harvard or Princeton or any of the big Ivy League colleges.

[9:30] So the word estranged means hostile. It means enemies of God. The wicked are estranged from the womb. They go astray as soon as they are born speaking lies.

[9:40] The wicked. The wicked are estranged. The wicked. And when I looked at the word wicked it said morally bad or wrong. Depraved. Acting with evil intent.

[9:50] But Brother Van what about John 3, 16? For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should should not perish but have eternal life.

[10:10] the message today is that salvation is what it's all about. Let's have a big crusade. Let's draw 500,000 people to the stadium out here.

[10:26] Let's have our starters that get up and start the people down the aisle. Let's just get them to Jesus and get them to salvation. And for most that's the end.

[10:40] Well honey that is not the end at all that is only the beginning place but it will be the end if we follow on to know if we endure to the end. Amen.

[10:51] See I found out that salvation is a continuing process. I'm saved today. Well what about that once in grace always in grace? If you keep yourself in the grace of God you'll stay in the grace of God. If you turn from him God will never leave you.

[11:07] If you turn from him and you make your bed in hell and you wake up tomorrow morning in hell you're going to turn around and you're going to see Jesus. And you know what you're going to do in hell that you won't do here?

[11:18] You're going to bow your knee and you're going to confess with your mouth yes Jesus Christ is King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Amen. 1 Peter 2 1 and 2 I said salvation is not what it's all about.

[11:31] Let me just turn over here and read this. We can quote this. I've used this scripture many times. I've used it but the church hasn't got it yet.

[11:43] What for laying aside all guile? That's bitterness. God's people got bitterness? God's people that ain't got the love of God got bitterness.

[11:58] What for laying aside all guile and all hypocrisy? and all all hypocrisy? Hypocrisy in the church? Somebody said oh I would go to that church but there's too many hypocrites down there.

You know I like to have that tremble in my voice go oh oh oh oh If I do I sound like Tarzan then oh oh oh oh We're pulling aside all envies and all evil speaking as newborn babes here's what you're supposed to do when you get saved desire the sincere milk of the word of God that ye may grow thereby amen there's a growing up that has to take place after you get saved I came here 17 years ago and I was preaching that Jesus Christ is not going to marry a baby neither is he going to marry a church that's invidled with the world can somebody say amen Ephesians 4 14 and 15 says be no more children tossed to and fro and carried about by every window of doctrine but grow up into him in all things grow up into him in all things spiritually and morally we don't hear much about spiritual growth and moral development spiritual growth growing spiritually developing morally but we're living in the most immoral age since God destroyed the world with a flood since God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah that's the age we're living in the only place on earth where you can find how to do this is in this word in this book and this book is under a sale by the supreme court

[21:30] Amen Genesis 17 said in the 600 years in the 600th year of Noah's life the flood came after Noah had been on this earth 600 years the flood came and all life was destroyed remember that old song we used to say most people don't know these old songs because I'm older than you know I've been saved longer most of y'all been alive not all of you but just most of you I'd rather be on the inside looking out than to be up on the outside looking in because when the rain began to fall upon the Lord sent it called but the door was closed and he said I thank the Lord I took him at his word

[22:30] I'm so glad thank you Jesus that I'm on the inside tonight I'm on the inside and I'm looking out and I'm seeing all the sin and I'm going to be looking and I'm going to see destruction coming because they will not get away the Bible said as it was in the days of Noah and as it was Noah entered the ark and they knew not until the flood came and took them all away amen 350 years after the flood because Noah lived to be 950 years old 350 years after the flood the earth was repopulated and all the races came into being there was white black brown and yellow and red don't ask me how when I get to heaven we can ask God about it if we really care but

[31:22] God and such were some of you but you are washed but you are sanctified but you are justified in the name of our Lord Jesus and by the spirit of our God three things and any of these spirits could have been on all of us or any of us the three things that has to happen if you want to make heaven your home and be part of the kingdom of God amen what does it say here you got to be washed how what are you washed by by the blood of Jesus Christ and what can take away my sin nothing but the blood of Jesus what can make!

[42:50] the Bible said at the at the righteous who would you know who would you even consider righteous? if the righteous scarcely enter in then where in shall the sinner which it claims no righteousness at all they just claim no sin and the ungodly that's the people that claim to be saved but they're ungodly they're not living like godly because of grace and bringing salvation teaching us that denying ungodliness the world is that we should live godly and so believe righteously in this present world you wouldn't think that'd be in the New Testament would you in Titus?

[43:19] but it's there believe me the unclean shall not pass over it but it shall be for those the wayfaring man though fools shall not err therein no lion shall be there any ravenous beast shall go up thereon it shall be found there but the redeemed shall walk in there I've been redeemed thy love divine oh glory glory Christ is mine all to him I'll now resign I've been redeemed amen people don't forget about what redemption's all about come on can I give you just a couple more scriptures here real quick amen John 14 6 Jesus said I am the way I am the way I am the way when I look up this way and a way shall be there and then Jesus said I am the way then I put two and two together and it comes out to four or five a way shall be there and it shall be called the way of holiness

[44:39] Jesus said I am the way Jesus said I am the way no man cometh to the Father but by me can you say amen now I want to read you the scripture where truth is falling in the streets Isaiah 59 and 1 some of you probably never even read the Old Testament let me read this to you behold the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save neither his ear heavy but your iniquities have but your iniquities have separated between you can anybody give me a real brief description of iniquity lawlessness iniquity is lawlessness what kind of lawlessness God's word is his law and iniquity is transgression against God's word which is also called sin for your hands are defiled with blood and your fingers with iniquity your lips have spoken lies your tongue hath muttered perverseness none calleth for justice nor pleadeth for truth they trust in vanity and speak lies they conceive mischief and they bring forth iniquity they hatch cockatrice's eggs that's a snake that's a poisonous snake and they weave spiders webs he that eateth of their eggs and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper their webs shall not become garments neither shall they cover themselves with their works their works are works of iniquity and the act of violence is in their hands their feet run to evil and they make haste to shed innocent blood their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity wasting and destruction the way of peace they know not there is no judgment in their goings and they have made them crooked paths whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace therefore is judgment not far from us listen church here's your warning therefore is judgment not far from us neither does justice overtake us we wait for light but behold obscurity for the brightness but we walk in darkness we grope for the wall like the blind we grope as if we had no eyes we stumble at the noonday we are in desolate places we roar like bears we look for judgment but there is none but it is far from us for our transgressions have multiplied before thee and our sins testify against us for our transgressions are with us and as for our iniquities we know them in trespassing and lying against the Lord and departing from the way from our God speaking oppression and revolt and conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood and judgment is turned away backwards and just that standeth afar off for truth and iniquity equity cannot enter think about it equity cannot enter truth is fallen in the streets

[48:41] you know what should have happened when when when the Supreme Court made their decision every Christian we're supposed to be a nation that claims to be 85% Christian or maybe maybe it's even greater than that that claims some form of relationship and yet we let the other 15 or less percent tell us what's right and what's wrong we should have came out of our houses every minister that worth his salt should have got up and walked out and said no way we are not ashamed of the gospel holy hands are lifted high oh shalom like old Polycarp why should so I wrote the conclusion Isaiah 1 and 9 said except the Lord of hosts had left us a very small remnant we should have been as Sodom and as Gomorrah what's that mean brother van!

[49:59] well the world is going to hell in a handbag but we don't have to because God has got a remnant that still believes what this old book says because it's the only book the law books of our nation will not tell you what's right and what's wrong we're fighting a losing battle trying to get everybody saved because we're fighting a losing battle trying to get everybody saved even after they come to the Lord they're not getting the teaching of the churches about spiritual growth and moral development we got men and women coming to church not married and living together and the preachers pray to say anything about it we got homosexuals sitting in the congregation of the righteous and the preachers pray to say anything about it pray you might run off your money givers you can take this church and shut the doors if I can't preach what thus said the word of God I once was young and now I am old but I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread and if this church kicks me out

[51:19] God will have a place for me and he'll have a place for everyone that holds on to the nail scarred hand of Jesus so we're fighting a losing battle trying to get everybody to live right to live holy and they're just not going to do it so 2 Corinthians 6 is not for them it's for us wherefore come out from among them and be a separate and touch not the unclean thing and you'll be my people the other scripture there that brother Jesse got off on seek you out the old path the way the way is the old path the way that was good for my grandma my mother and good for me and good for my children and my children's children seek you out the old path where in dwelleth righteousness and walk therein
