Smoke of His Name: Part 2

[0:00] We didn't really need more rain. Well, that's what you know of. Amen. God wanted some more rain, so we got some more rain. Now, if the Lord lets me get to where I want to get to today, I would like for everybody to reach over and bring your seatbelt over and click it in and snug it up.

[0:19] Make sure it's tight because I may be rocking your boat a little bit before I get through today. Amen. Man, Brother Bobby told me it's going to rock boats last night, and I thought, well, he didn't get around rocking nobody's boat.

[0:31] He'd pray somebody's going to be mad at him. I said, you didn't say anything abrasive. Amen. I'm going to say some abrasive stuff this morning. God doesn't lay it on my heart, and if I get there, you know what abrasive is?

[0:42] That's like sandpaper. Coarse grit. Praise God. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Last Sunday, I was on the smoke cloud of his name. Doesn't that sound deep?

[1:02] The smoke cloud of his name. You think, man, well, you've got to be crazy. Where do you get all that junk at? I'm just getting out of the Bible. It's a good book. You ought to read it sometime. You might actually begin to enjoy it. Hallelujah.

[1:13] And, you know, what is smoke? Smoke is carbonated particles that are in the air that are visible to your sight.

[1:24] But smoke is also something that has been transformed from one thing, and it's being transformed into another thing. Amen. Right now, I am a solid. Even though I may be 70 or 80 percent liquid, you know, when you feel me, I'm solid. Amen.

[1:40] Amen. But one day, I'm going to be turned into a vapor. Paul said, what is our life? It's but a fleeting vapor that appears for a little season and then vanishes away. And when the transformation takes place, when the trumpet sounds, when Christ is coming back, and we're changed in a moment of twinkling of an eye, honey, you're not going to see this body rising up.

[2:01] Because this body, I don't want this body no more. I got arthritis. I got all kind of problems. And I don't want this body no more. But you're going to see a vapor. You're going to see a cloud of glory rising up. Amen. If we have lived our life to the glory of the Lord, if we have lived our life for the glory of the Lord, then when that change takes place, what you're going to see is glory clouds coming up from this earth.

[2:23] Amen. Ascending up and meeting the big glory cloud that's coming down. Amen. And you know what happens when a big cloud comes into a small cloud? It just takes it. They just meld together. Then once they get together, you can't tail them apart.

[2:36] You know why? Because they become one. Amen. When we get in Jesus Christ, when our little cloud of glory melds into his great big cloud of glory, then we're going to be just like him. Amen. Hallelujah.

[2:48] I want to go over these scriptures real quick. Isaiah, the 30th chapter. And these are the same scriptures I went over last week. But I didn't get to go where I wanted to go. So I want to go just a little bit further this morning.

[2:58] And get over here and some stuff that's kind of touchy. But I feel that you need it. Amen. Hallelujah. So Lord, if you know that there's somebody here today that needs it, make sure that they hear it.

[3:14] Amen. And you're going to say, man, I wish somebody else had been here today to hear that because they really need it. No, I probably tend to think that, you know, most of them are here.

[3:26] No, not all of them. But most of them are here. In Isaiah, the 30th chapter, I'm going to read the first verse. Then I'm going to go down to the 8th verse through 21. Then I'm going to come on down to 25 through 27. Amen. Amen.

[3:39] And what is so odd is that when, you know, nobody is exactly sure how everything is going to wind up. We know that we already passed the 2,000-year mark.

[3:52] There was 2,000 years from Adam and Eve to Noah. There was 2,000 years from Noah unto Jesus Christ. And there is 2,000 years from Jesus Christ unto where we are today.

[4:04] Now, we don't have the exact years just exactly. So when I say 2,000, I'm rounding that off. And then the Bible said that God worked for six days, and on the seventh day he rested. And this seventh day, and then Peter says over there, I would not have you ignorant concerning this one thing, that a thousand years is as a day with the Lord, and one day is as a thousand years.

[4:25] Amen. So in six days, and you can like them, that's a 6,000 year, whatever terminology, you know, whatever metaphor you want to put it to, God created. And the whole history of mankind is only going to be one week, seven days.

[4:38] And now we either have entered into it three years ago on Y2K 2000, or we're about to enter into it because exactly when Jesus died, you know, there's always some disagreements.

[4:55] Some say that, you know, we go everything A.D. and B.C., after the death of Christ and before Christ. And, of course, they think now that he was actually born in 4 B.C., so that would make our calendar about three or four years off.

[5:11] But, I mean, and it's not really all that important. To know that we are, you know, we're not in Noah's day. That 2,000 years is definitely gone. And we're not from Noah and Abraham and Moses and the law and all that up to Jesus Christ.

[5:26] We're not in that day anymore. Those 2,000 years are gone. And then, you know, the Bible says the law and the prophets went until John. And since that day the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. But, you know, the day of Jesus Christ when he walked on this earth has done came and gone 2,000 years ago.

[5:41] And now we're living in the end of that 2,000 years, or we have already entered in to the third or to the third day. Amen? To the millennial reign.

[5:52] Now, we're not sure exactly how it's going to happen. But here's what I have ascertained by studying the scriptures, that there is going to be a rapture of overcoming saints, those people who are living overcoming lives.

[6:05] Not everybody that says Christ, not everybody that says Lord, Lord is going to enter in, but those that do his will, they are going to be called out in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. They're going to be changed.

[6:16] They're going to be gone. There's going to be a remnant of the church that's going to be left here because they wouldn't praise God, wouldn't serve God during this lifetime. And so they're going to go into the tribulation period, and they're going to have to give their life if they're saved in the tribulation period.

[6:29] Some and many will take the mark of the beast and die and be in damnation for the rest of their life. But some folks will realize that they missed it. They missed their opportunity to live for God where they had time.

[6:39] And they're going to go into the tribulation period, but not all of them are going to die in the tribulation period because out of that tribulation period is going to come a people that is going to go into the millennial reign.

[6:54] And the word millennial means a thousand-year reign when Jesus Christ comes back and sets up his throne upon the earth. Amen. And then at the end of that thousand years, the devil is loose for a little season.

[7:05] Amen. During this thousand years, he's changed in the pit. But after that, he's on loose for a season, and then the Lord comes back, and the Lord destroys him. Amen. But when he comes back, you know, before he destroys him, that's when you read over there in Revelation 18 and 19, you know, and I saw the Lord, and he had a vesture dipped in blood, and he had a name, King of kings and Lord of lords, and he was on a white horse, and the armies that followed him were on white horses, and they're coming back to make war.

[7:32] That goes back with Revelation 1 when it says, And every eye shall see him. Amen. Hey, you're not going to, the people are not going to see the rapture. It's going to be so quick, so sudden, as a thief in the night, you're not going to see it. We're going to be gone.

[7:43] Amen. But then on the other hand, at the end of that thousand years, or when he comes back to make war with the Antichrist and all this, amen, every eye is going to see him. They're going to see him coming, and they're going to consume him.

[7:54] And then if you read over in Jeremiah and some of those places, it really gets scary. You know, the Bible says that their sockets are going to be, their eyes are going to be consumed in their sockets. So, you know, it's going to be a tragic time. But some folks are going to actually enter into the millennial reign, and where are you going to live and not die?

[8:12] A man will be a child at 100 years old. Amen. The Bible said the kings and the priests of the earth are going to go into the new city and get the leaves off of the tree of life to bring them back to the new earth for the healing of the nations.

[8:25] Amen. And there's going to be one tree there that bears 12 manner of fruits, and every fruit in its season, every month, is going to bear a different fruit. Amen. 12 manners of fruits. Wow. It's going to be powerful.

[8:37] Amen. And I just can't hardly wait to get there. But before that happens, and well, let me tell you the rest of it. During that thousand-year millennial reign, there's going to be a cloud of glory, and a name is going to be on every house in that thousand-year millennial reign.

[8:54] Amen. Because you won't be able to survive without the smoke cloud of his name. And this right here is going to tell you what is going to happen, the reason that nobody will be able to survive.

[9:06] Let's read it here. I want to read it starting in Isaiah, the 30th chapter, in the first verse. It says, Woe to the rebellious children. Now, who's he talking to? Amen. Amen. Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that taketh not counsel.

[9:22] In other words, they won't listen to the ministry. But not of me, and that covereth with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin.

[9:32] Amen. Going on down to the eighth verse. Go now. Or now go. Write it before them in a table. And note it in a book, that it may come for a time to come forever and ever, that this is a rebellious people.

[9:47] Lying children. Children that will not hear the law of the Lord, which say to the seers, See not. And to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, but speak to us smooth things.

[10:00] Prophesy deceits to us. Get you out of the way, and turn aside out of the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Wherefore, thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because thou despised this word, and trusteth in oppression and perversiveness, and stay there on, therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out into a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.

[10:28] Last week I likened this to a little boy that's got his fingers stuck in the dike. And the dam is about ready to bust. And you can already see the wall bulging out. Amen. Man, this thing is about to break.

[10:39] If you could see it. I mean, man, we're just about to get, you know, a tribulation period is just about to bust all over us, and a rapture is about ready to take place, and we're just right here on the bubble. And you know, the bubble is thin, and somebody's going to take a pen, God's going to take a pen and pop it, and it's just going to burst all over us.

[10:52] Amen. It says, For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall you be saved. In returning and rest shall you be saved. In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength, and ye would not.

[11:08] But ye said, No, for we will flee upon horses, therefore shall you flee. And we will ride upon the swift, therefore shall they pursue, that pursue you be swift.

[11:22] One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of them. At the rebuke of five shall you flee, till you be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on a hill.

[11:32] And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you.

[11:45] For the Lord is a God of judgment. Blessed are all they that wait for him. For the people shall dwell in Zion, at Jerusalem.

[11:57] Thou shalt weep no more. He shall be very gracious unto thee, at the voice of thy cry. When he shall hear it, he will answer thee. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of reflection, yet shall he not, thy teachers, be removed into a corner anymore.

[12:14] But thine eyes shall see the teachers. And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee. Listen. John said, I was in the spirit of the Lord's day, and I heard a voice behind me, and I turned to see the voice, the word.

[12:28] Amen. He said, I heard a word behind me. He said, he said, and thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, this is the way, walk in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left hand.

[12:40] Go down to verse 26. 25. And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers, and streams of water, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

[12:55] Moreover, the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun. Listen to this. The light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun.

[13:08] What does that mean? That means you're going to walk outside at nighttime, and it's going to be bright as day. Now that wouldn't be too bad until you find out what the day is going to be.

[13:20] Let's read a little bit further. And the light of the sun shall be seven fold. Seven times hotter. Just like the five referents that the Hebrew children walk through.

[13:32] Seven times hotter. Amen. I related this last week to some of you, and I'll just say it again. In the left behind series, I'm up to the point or the midway of the tribulation period, and this has happened.

[13:44] The sun is so bright that nobody can go out, but the tribulation force can go out because they've got a cloud over them. The hand of the Lord is up over them, and they can go outside during the daytime, but at the nighttime, they can't go out because at the nighttime, those that take the mark of the beast and those that are with the Antichrist are out at the nighttime roaming, but they can't find them because they're hiding.

[14:06] They've ended it in the nighttime, but in the daytime, you know, it's just, God is there. Listen to what he says here down. Moreover, the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold as the light of seven days in that day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of his people and healeth the stroke of their wound.

[14:25] Behold, the name of the Lord cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy, and his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire.

[14:38] Let's bow our heads with the Lord in prayer. Lord Jesus, for the next few minutes, Lord, we're not very many here today, but Lord God, we thank you, Lord, that you're here. You said two or more gathered in my presence. Lord God, in your name, that you'd be in our presence and be here with us.

[14:50] We ask you, Lord God, to anoint your word today and anoint us, Lord God, that we might be able to speak what thus saith the Lord in Jesus' name. Everybody say amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Going on down to the second Thessalonians, because this, you say, Brother Van, that's in the Old Testament.

[15:06] Well, let's get over to the New Testament and just see what it says here. You got your date, Bible, that's on page 230, 228. It says, Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together unto him.

[15:21] Verse 2, That you be not soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit nor by word from us that the day of Christ is at hand. For that day shall not come. Well, let no man deceive you by any means.

[15:35] For that day shall not come except there come a falling away first and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. Amen. Anybody know who the son of perdition is? Huh?

[15:48] The Antichrist. Amen. Anybody know where Judas went to? Judas also is referred to as the son of perdition and he went to his own place. Amen. He went to perdition. But the word perdition means destruction.

[15:59] Now, I'm down here in the fourth verse. It said, Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God showing himself that he is God.

[16:13] Remember you not that while I was here with you I told you these things? And now you know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in this time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work only he who now leteth will out until he be taken out of the way.

[16:27] And then when he who will let is taken out of the way then shall that wicked one be revealed whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.

[16:42] Even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish because they receive not the love of the truth that they might be saved.

[16:55] Why are people lost? Why are there people lost? Because they receive not the love of the truth that they might be saved. And for this cause God should give them strong delusion that they should believe a lie and be damned.

[17:10] They should believe a lie that they all might be damned who believe not the truth but have pleasure in unrighteousness. Amen? So now we know that there's something right now that's holding it back.

[17:23] We read over there in Isaiah where it's a great bulging it's like a bulging out of a wall that's not ready to break through. And now we found out that there's something there that's got its finger in the hole in the dike there's something there got its hand that's stopping all this sin and everything and tribulation and everything from bursting forth.

[17:38] Amen? But it says for this cause God should give them a strong delusion that they should believe a lie and that they all might be damned who believe not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Let's go to one more place now.

[17:48] In Psalms 121 in verse 5. Can somebody say praise the Lord this morning? Thank you Jesus. Psalm 121 in verse 5. Well it's only five verses let's just start in the first verse.

[18:05] I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from which cometh my help my help cometh from the Lord which made the heavens and the earth page 609 in your day. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved.

[18:18] He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper. The Lord is thy shade. Anybody knows what a parasol is?

[18:36] You know what a parachute is? What's the word para mean? Huh? Huh? Huh?

[18:57] I didn't look it up I really don't know. When I think of paraplegic I know a person that they're crippled in their legs but their arms still work. A quadriplegic is a person that's crippled in arms and legs you know all the way. So partial parachute I don't want a parachute.

[19:15] I don't want a partial suit. I like to have the whole thing if I'm going to come down in a parachute. Listen to what he says here. The Lord verse 3 will not serve thy food to be moved he that keepeth thee will not slumber behold he that keepeth thee Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep the Lord is thy keeper the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand that the sun shall not smite thee by day nor the moon by night I don't know whether I preach on it today or later but going in and coming out going in and coming out there's a reason we go in and we come out amen you know sometimes we come to church and we just won't stay there because the spirit is so high we don't ever want to leave but God has a reason for us to go back out amen we come in we learn we get our gas tanks filled up we get the burdens lifted off of our shoulders then we have to go out and serve the Lord amen go out and let your light shine then when your light starts getting dim your lamp starts running low and boil we know where to come through to get our lamp refilled back up amen get our wicks trimmed and our lamps burning bright hallelujah hallelujah the Lord shall preserve thee thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth and for evermore first

[20:55] Isaiah the fourth chapter in the first verse page 682 683哪裡!

Isaiah the fourth chapter The first verse says And in that day Remember a day is a thousand years for the Lord And in that day seven women Shall take hold of one man Saying we will eat our own bread And wear our own apparel Only let us be called by thy name to take away Our reproach In that day shall the branch of the Lord Be beautiful and glorious and the fruit Of the earth shall be excellent And calmly for them that are escaped of Israel Now For the ones of you who might have missed it last week Why are there going to be a shortage of men Because There's going to be a war It's going to be called the battle of Armageddon

[22:17] In the valley of Megiddo And the Bible said that the blood Is going to flow up to a horse's bridle When you read on in the word of God You'll find out later that after this battle is over That the nation of Israel Is going to be seven months In burying the dead And when people and strangers are passing through it And they see a bone The Bible actually says that They'll put up a sign by that bone And then the people who bury the dead Will go out there and take that bone And bury it in the earth But it's going to be such a time That there's going to be a slaughter You know a 200,000 man army You read about in Revelation Is going to cross the Euphrates River And come into the Holy Land Amen And if you can see this valley It's about three miles wide And twelve miles long It's a huge valley But the blood is going to flow up to a horse's bridle What is that about six feet Give or take pretty close there Amen So there's going to be a lot of men That's going to die And the women are not going to have a man Now in Bible days It was a reproach for a woman Not to be married Think about it It was a reproach for a woman not to be married

[23:19] And so they're going to call You know seven women Are going to come to one man And say Just let us be called by your name You don't have to worry about feeding us We'll feed ourselves You don't have to worry about clothing us Because under the law You know that was part of the husband's responsibility The Bible said He don't take care of his own It's the same as an infidel Heathen But you don't have to do none of that Just let us be called by your name That it might take away the reproach In that day the branch Which is the Lord Jesus Christ Shall be beautiful and glorious And the fruit of the earth Shall be excellent and calmly for them That escaped Israel Amen We're talking about this fruit of the earth There's something going to happen You read about over in Amos the 9th chapter In the 13th verse It said that the reaper will overtake the plow When they're going through there to reap The plow is going to be coming right along behind them And he's going to be breaking up the ground And the soil right behind him Putting in the seeds in the ground And right behind him All of them in the same field Working at the same time He's breaking it up He's sowing the seed

[24:19] And they're gathering the fruit You say it can't happen that much Oh yes it can Why does that? The Bible said Except a corn of wheat Falleth to the ground and die It abideth alone But if it dies Then it's going to bring forth abundantly Amen And what is it going to cause This seed to come out of the ground As soon as it's planted?

[24:35] The resurrection power of the Lord Jesus Christ On this earth So that everything that's dead Is going to come alive Everybody that is dead in the grave Is going to come alive Everybody that's dead in hell Is going to come alive Amen Some to honor and glory And some to damnation and destruction Amen You read about it in Revelation 20th chapter In the 14th verse And it talks about And death and hell were cast alive Into the lake of fire And this is the second death Amen Hallelujah All right Where did I get to here?

[25:10] Third verse And it shall come to pass in that day That he that is left in Zion And that remaineth in Jerusalem Shall be called holy Even every one that is written Among the living in Jerusalem When the Lord shall have washed away The filth of the daughters of Zion And shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem From the midst thereof By the spirit of judgment And by the spirit of burning And the Lord will create upon Every dwelling place of Mount Zion And upon her assembly A cloud and smoke by day And the shining of a flaming fire by night For upon all the glory Shall be a defense For upon all The glory shall be a defense What is this cloud by day?

[25:54] This cloud of smoke by day And this fire by night? It's the Holy Ghost We read about it over in Exodus The 13th chapter In the 20th and 21st verse It says that That when they came out of Egypt Just fresh out of Egypt You know They're still in Egypt God gave them a cloud by day And a pillar of fire by night To lead them That they may go by day and the night And 21st says And he took not away The cloud and the fire from them Now we know that That you know When they got to the promised land That the cloud and fire Wasn't there anymore Amen?

[26:25] The angel of the Lord That was in the cloud and the fire Wasn't there anymore That was God himself Dwelling in the cloud and the fire And leading them Amen? But let me tell you what Hallelujah How many knows that That we are spiritual Israel?

[26:36] Amen? And when we Those that Especially that enter into The millennial reign There's On every house There's going to be a cloud And a smoke cloud Of the name of the Lord And his name Is going to be on every house In the land Amen?

[26:49] Everybody there Is going to be saved Isn't that great? Won't be no sinners there Won't be no temptation there Won't be no dying there Won't be no crying there You know God's going to Wipe all tears away From their eyes You talk about heaven on earth For a thousand years That You know that old song And the beautiful song The peace in the valley You know The wolf shall be gentle And the lamb What it And the lion Shall be tame And the lamb Shall lay down With the lion Amen You know the Bible says The hole A child should play On the hole of an ass Which is a very poisonous Is a snake But it won't bite you Be no death And if something Should happen They get the trees Of the leaves Of the tree of life Because they're going To be actual Literal people Actual literal Breathing people On the new earth During the During the millennial reign Now after the millennial reign Because see This is all drawn out thing This isn't going To happen like that But it's going to seem Like that Because yesterday

[27:50] I was just a young man Yesterday I sat around My mama's Breakfast table Getting You know after we had bacon We used to have That slab bacon That had that That rind on it Well everybody Eat the bacon And leave the rind But we was poor people I'd go around After everybody got through And I'd get the rind Off their plate And put it in my pocket And I'd eat that I'd chew on that All day long It was just like hard tack It was tough When it went in But honey After I gummed on it Long enough It juiced up And I ate it Amen Hallelujah But But upon every house There's going to be The smoke cloud Of his name It's a glory cloud The glory of the Lord Is going to be Upon every house And why To shade you Because the sun Is going to be Seven times hotter And the moon Is going to be The brightness of the sun So we're going to Have to have it And anybody That don't have it They're going to be Consumed immediately Because when they go Outside They're going to be

[28:50] A vapor Amen Think about it You think I'm Making this up Don't you If I didn't read it To you Right out of the book If I didn't read it To you You know It just sounded Like something That's really Far-fetched Amen The Lord will create Upon every dwelling A cloud And a smoke By day And upon And of a shining Flaming fire By night And it's going to be The Shekinah glory Of the name Of the Lord Amen Man that just blows My mind And this This glory Is going to be A defense From the elements Amen Now Let me tell you The rest of the story After the thousand year Millennial reign Then God's going to Put everything back Like it is now Or approximately Like it is now And there's going to be You know You can't have a winter When the sun Is like the moon And the sun Is seven times hotter In the day You know And the moon You know You can't have a winter You can't have spring It's going to be Summer all the time So there won't be Any cold weather But after that thousand years God's going to turn Everything back And you're going to have

[29:51] Spring, winter, summer, fall Just like you always have had Amen But for this time For this day For this one day Hallelujah It's going to be different Man you're going to walk around Under the cloud of the Lord I know some of you two Little remember Mamie Yoakum And the dog patch You know And Al Caff Who wrote the dog patch commercial But there was a Cartoons But there was a man There they called Joe Bliffitts Or something like that And he walked around With a dark cloud Over his head If the sun be shining Everywhere else Whatever he was There was a cloud And it was raining Light and it was striking Him all the time You know You know Murphy's Law Was written for people like that Everything that could happen Could go wrong Did go wrong And his name was Joe Bliffitts But You know That's just the type When we get over there There's going to be a cloud That's literally over us Because over every dwelling place And God We are the temple of the Lord Amen And over us There's going to be The Shekinah glory cloud of God Walking around Everywhere we go Amen We're going to be special Amen I mean very special Amen Hey What does the Bible call it In 2 Peter

[54:36] We'd rather get that little dollar-and-a-half magazine little rag thing. It's just all the gossip. And it ought to be against the sale just almost like pornography. Amen.

[54:49] And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one mind, all with one accord. Wait a minute. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

[55:01] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a mighty rushing wind. Now, has anybody here ever heard of a rushing mighty wind? I've always heard that a rushing mighty wind sounded like a tornado coming.

[55:13] And they always said a tornado coming sounded like a choo-choo train coming through town when you ain't got no railroad tracks. Can you imagine it? Anybody here ever been in a tornado?

[55:24] I was in one, but I didn't get to hear anything. I was probably too scared to remember anything. I'd have heard anyway. Lifted up the building that I was in, and the ceiling came down, and the water came in.

[55:42] And I said I was scared. Actually, I honestly, God knows my heart. I wasn't scared. But I thought, is this how I'm going to die? I'm not going to die. Hey, death don't hold no fear.

[55:53] I don't want to suffer. Lay there and let, you know, let my body, you know, burn up. And my uncle just, he went through all kinds of great pain and suffering. But listen, on the day of Pentecost, it was all in one accord in one place.

[56:07] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, a rushing, mighty wind, like a tornado. I mean, we're talking about a, you know, I'm not talking about a little shh.

[56:22] I'm talking about, I'm talking about like a hurricane, like a tornado, like a train, like a big old freight train coming through town, and it's roaring.

[56:33] So, listen, anytime there's wind, there's usually clouds. And with clouds, there's thunder. What makes thunder? If you've got your note, read me down here on note U in the first column on Acts 2.

[56:50] It says, the noise of the mighty clap of thunder and of the sound of the rushing wind alarmed the whole city, and they came running to the temple where they found the disciples full of the Spirit and speaking in tongues.

[57:05] Now, does this kind of give you a different vision of what you've seen before? I'm talking about a noise so loud that if we heard it, you'd think, there's a train coming down the street. Let's go see what that noise is out there. It was so loud.

[57:16] Not only the wind, but the thunder. I mean, this is earth quaking, earth shaking. Until everybody ran out and they saw where was all happening.

[57:27] Wait a minute, the cloud is down there over that upper room down there. And they all ran down to the upper room to see what was happening because that's where the whirlwind was. That's where the thunder was. That's where the cloud of the name of the Lord was.

[57:41] And they went down there to see them, and they said, how do we hear all these men speaking in our language? Are these all not Galileans? You hear every man speaking in our own tongue, magnifying and telling about the wonderful works of God.

[57:55] I hope from now when you read about Acts, you'll think, my Lord, there's more there than I ever thought it was there before. All right. I'm just about to get down there. Y'all ready? 1 Corinthians 2.14 says, The natural carnal man cannot understand the spiritual things of God because they are spiritually discerned.

[58:17] Why has God saved us? For the same reason that he came into this world. In John 3.16, for God so loved the world. God saved us, and in John 17.1, it tells you that, that, you know, Lord, I have manifested thy name unto them.

[58:31] Verse 6. I have manifested thy name unto them. That thou mayest, amen, that thou mayest love them as I love them.

[58:45] Manifested thy name. Made known thy name. John 14. I didn't come in my name. I came in my Father's name. Amen.

[58:57] He said, you know, Peter says, Sure, it's a father, and it suffices of. He said, Have I been so long with you, Peter? You haven't seen me? If you've seen me, you've seen the Father. The works that I do, you know, it's not me that's doing them.

[59:10] It's him that's in me. Amen. He said, Believe me, or believe me for the very works sake. Think about it. Just think about it. I have manifested, made known thy name.

[59:23] Hallelujah. And our job is to make sure that the name is upon our house. The name to them. Jesus wants us to make his name known by us, and by us lifting it up. How do we lift up the name?

[59:39] Well, by being good people. Well, there's a lot of good people in the world. How do we lift up the name? By saying, Jesus, I lift up your name.

[59:52] Well, there's a lot of people saying, I lift up your name. How do we make the name known? There were some folks here last night that hadn't been to our church before because they had heard that we have a name.

[60:07] We're too wild. We're too wild. Riverside, they're too wild. Music's too loud.

[60:20] Singing is too loud and hard, and that driving force of that drum, that twingy guitar is just too loud. Honey, do you know what we're doing? When we're twinging and singing and jumping and shouting and dancing, we don't care what anybody thinks about us.

[60:39] We have lost all inhibitions. Just like you're not even here, we have come to lift up the name of Jesus. Amen? Listen.

[60:50] Let the children of Zion be joyful in their king. Let them praise his name and praise me to lift it up in a dance. Lift it up.

[61:50] I had this revival. I got, you know, 50 souls saved and I got 25 filled with the Holy Ghost. I, I, I, I, I. Who am I lifting up? Am I lifting up Jesus? No, no, no.

[62:01] I'm lifting up myself. But listen. But if you look at it from the other point of view, I don't have a name anymore. You know, my name is Jesus.

[62:12] Your name is Jesus. In, in, in the millennium, we're all going to have the same name on our foreheads. His glory is going to be over our, over our house. Amen? You mean, we all going to look alike?
