Levels of the Holy Ghost

[0:00] Enough knowledge. Bring me down a little bit. We think we know it all. And when you think you know it all, who is it that you can't tell anything to? Somebody that already knows it all.

[0:11] If they know it all, you can't help them. You know how most Christians are like that? You just take the Holy Ghost for instance. And I'm going to preach on the Holy Ghost this morning. Hallelujah.

[0:21] We think we know all about it. We got it 40 years ago. And you know, we know. Honey, you don't know anything about the Holy Ghost. I've been preaching on the full manifestation of the Holy Ghost.

[0:32] That there is a baptism of the Holy Ghost. And a lot of people think when they got baptized with it, well that's it. They got it all and they know all about it. No, you don't. You don't know anything about it. This word is so full of references that go right back to those things that we think we know.

[0:47] You know, after you get baptized, then there comes the anointing. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. How many of you can have the Holy Ghost and still not be anointed? You can't testify.

[1:00] That's why when you have past people testify, they don't have very much to say. They can't testify. They can't preach. They can't sing. But you know, when the anointing comes, all of a sudden you can sing. You can preach.

[1:10] You can testify. But you had the Holy Ghost. See, in other words, that there's one level and that's being baptized. That's just start. Amen. But that's not the end of it. That's just your beginning.

[1:20] I'm baptized with the Holy Ghost. Amen. Hallelujah. How many of you know that when you get baptized with water, you get wet on the outside? All right, when you get baptized with a spirit, you get wet on the inside.

[1:31] And I've used this metaphor many times, especially a long time ago when the hole in your gas cap and your gas tank was a big hole and you could put anything you wanted to in there because it didn't matter.

[1:44] You could put a regular or ethyl or diesel. You could just let it go. Now they got the little bitty hole and only the right brand will go into that hole, you know, the right octane for your car. But used to, you put that thing in there and you put a handle on wide open and you can walk around and you can just, you know, do anything you want to waiting for it to fill up.

[2:02] And all of a sudden, you can hear it start gurgling. And then all of a sudden, it goes. And if you're standing close by, you're going to get covered up with gas. Amen. Man, you shut it off right there.

[2:12] You say, man, that thing is full to the top because it done came out. Honey, no, it's not full to the top. Amen. It's just getting the air out of the way. But most people think that's being full, but it's not full. My old car, after you fill it up and she shuts off, you can put another $5 in there with a high gas price.

[2:28] You can put $6 or $7 more worth of gas in it. Amen. Until you top it off. Until you don't top off your tank. That's what they're telling you about, about you Christians. Don't you, you don't have to top it off.

[2:39] You can fill this to a little bit of the spirit, but you don't have to get plump fanatical about it. You know, you don't have to get in there and shout and jump up and down and run the aisles. Listen, one minute here, you've been turning, what do you call them, cartwheels last night.

[2:54] You don't, you know, hey, you don't have to do all that. That's being plump full. Just verges on being foolish. But you know what Paul said? I'll be a fool for Christ's sake. Who's full of you?

[3:05] Amen. Amen. Hey, I'm tired of being a fool for the world. I want to be a fool for Jesus. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let me tell you what else. And after the anointing comes, he's doing with power. That's what I'm going to talk about today.

[3:17] You think, well, man, I already know all about that. No, you don't know all about it. You don't know how to put it together. You know why? Because I've been in this thing for 35 years, 36, 37 years now, and I don't know all about it.

[3:27] I'm still learning every day that there is more power. There's more anointing. There's more in doing. There's more baptizing. How many of those after the day of Pentecost when they got the initial infilling of the Holy Ghost and they all speak with tongues as the Spirit of God gave them mutters?

[3:43] That's in Acts, the second chapter. But over in Acts, the fourth chapter, when they came together again, they said that they prayed that God would give them the boldness to speak His Word. And the Bible said, and the place was shaken and the Holy Ghost fell upon them again.

[3:56] Well, if you already got it once, what do you need it again for? Honey, that's because you need a refilling. Amen. How many times do you need a refilling? I want a refilling every time I get down on my knees to pray.

[4:07] Amen. Hallelujah. How else are you going to know that your prayers are going to be answered if you don't get filled up? And keep it, make sure that it's full. Anybody know anything about gasoline and water? Does gas and water mix?

[4:19] What happens if you keep your gas tank about half full in your car all winter long? Condensation builds up and then it evaporates, goes down into your gas and you run out there and you wonder, why won't my car run right?

[4:30] It's sitting there missing and coughing and everything because you got watered down gasoline. Amen. Because you didn't keep your tank full. We'll come to church and you know, we got it, we still feel it, we feel enough of it to make us want to come to church but we don't feel enough of it to make us want to jump up and shout or get down on our knees or maybe crawl around this whole church, you know, because, you know, only people do that and they're really full.

[4:49] Amen. But if we really get full, we'll come in here, we'll pray. If the Spirit's in the heart realm, we're going to pray.

[5:00] If it's in the foot realm, we're going to dance. If it's in the head realm, we're going to praise God with unformed praise. Amen. But it's whatever God wants. Whatever God wants, whatever the Spirit of the Lord is, that's where God wants us to be.

[5:12] Somebody said, well, I'm just waiting until they quit singing the most low song so I can get in the Spirit. Well, honey, you're probably not going to get in the Spirit because that opens the door. Amen. You've got to get in God's heart if you want to get His life.

[5:24] You've got to get into God's heart if you want to get into His life. Amen. I want to talk this morning about the induing of the power of the Holy Ghost. To be endued. Turn with me to Luke 24.

[5:35] And we're going to read the 49th verse. Luke 24 and 49. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He said, And behold, and this is Jesus Christ speaking, I send the promise of my Father upon you.

[5:52] You've got a date. It's on page 91. Amen. And behold, I send the promise. And behold, I send the promise. How many is looking for the promise?

[6:05] Amen. And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you, but tarry you in Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high.

[6:17] Let's bow your head and go to the Lord in prayer. Lord Jesus, thank you, Lord God, today for your love and your mercy and your grace. Thank you, Jesus, Lord, for saving us when we didn't deserve to be saved, Lord, and for keeping us, Lord God, when we don't even deserve to be kept.

[6:29] But Lord God, we're your children and we love you. And Lord, we desire, Lord, to be full and to be filled up with your word and with your spirit and with your power and your might. Father, we ask it all in Jesus' name, Lord God, that we might be fruit-bearing Christians.

[6:42] And everybody said amen. Hallelujah. Behold, I send the promise of my Father. The promise, if you promise somebody, if you look up the word promise in the dictionary, it means to send forward, to send something forward in time, in agreement.

[6:57] Amen. To make a vow or it's a basis for an expectation. Amen. In Luke, he said, but tarry you in Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high.

[7:08] He gave them the promise and they got the expectation, man, we got to go there and we got to wait until we're endued with power. Amen. Now what happens after you get the power? What's it say in Acts 1 and 8?

[7:20] But you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. How many knows that we don't have the power that we need today? We saw some manifestation of it last night when that old crippled woman got up and started walking.

[7:34] Amen. We saw some manifestation of it when that brother that was shouting fell over there with his back and his ribs on this arm or this pew and got up and had prayer.

[7:45] Couldn't hardly walk. Couldn't hardly talk. Said, don't touch me there. But before long he was turning cartwheels across the front of the church. Amen. We saw some of the manifestation of that power last night when we saw somebody that had been here in church that had been bound with demon spirits for 40 years that couldn't sleep just under a continual cloud of depression and oppression.

[8:05] Amen. We saw them get set free. Can you say that? Amen. But you know what? It's not there all the time. Do you know why? Because we don't come in with the same expectation. We don't come in with our heart and our soul and our mind ready to move like God would move if he was here in our midst.

[8:22] Well it's Sunday I'll come to church. And I'll sit down instead of saying man I can't wait till I get to church. Man I'm going to I'm going to testify. Oh when I get there I'm going to testify.

[8:35] I'm going to tell them oh man and you know why you have a testimony? It's because you've been living something all week long that gives you something to say when you get there. No you can't get a testimony a preacher trying to beg somebody to testify and you say well man nothing happened I don't know really.

[8:48] You know I haven't witnessed anybody I haven't testified to anybody and matter of fact I ain't even read my Bible and ain't prayed one time and man no you're not going to have a testimony like that. But honey but if you'll get a get God minded amen get spirit minded so that your mind is upon the things of God hallelujah most of us are like this little baby over here.

[9:15] You ever try that? Ain't too bad. That little baby Molly she likes that thumb. Most of us are still thumb sucking Christians.

[9:26] Amen. When we should be walking around in the power and in the might. When we should be walking around with the endowment of power upon us so that the devil is afraid and shaking and trembling in his boots when we come in.

[9:38] We walk around sucking our thumb. Amen. Let me preach here a little bit. Why do we need this endowment of power? Why do we need this baptism this anointing? Amen.

[9:49] There's a reason for it. To preach. That's why Jesus said the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointing me to preach. Amen. You can't preach without the endowment of power.

[10:02] A lot of folks want to study for 15 minutes and preach for an hour but how many of those don't work like that? And if you study for an hour you probably won't be able to preach for 15 minutes because it takes more than that.

[10:13] It takes laying your life down and trading your life for God's word. And if you do that you'll leave this world a rich man but if you trade God's word for your life and know what you want to do you're going to leave this world a poor man.

[10:26] Can you say amen? Why do we need the endowment of power to preach the word to resist the devil to pray to manifest the spiritual aspects of what God has already given us to speak in tongues to prophesy to do all manner of miracles to be able to give a word of knowledge and a word of wisdom to be able to exercise more than enough faith than just to get out of bed in the morning.

[10:55] See God has endued me with a power of praying for people with headaches and earaches. Now not because of any good thing that I've done not because there's nothing that I've done God just said hey there it is you got it now use it.

[11:12] When's the last time you used it after church last night? A little girl came up to me and said brother man my head is killing me would you pray for me? I didn't jump up and holler and do all these you know big things to draw the show I just barely touched her on the head amen said what God told me to say took my hand away she said it's gone it's gone it's gone it's gone it's gone amen let me tell you something if I went out playing golf all day on Saturday and you know I might give you 15 minutes of study and then come in here on Saturday night do you think God was going to honor me by doing any good thing for anybody that's here?

[11:50] Hey I wouldn't have any desire to pray I wouldn't have any desire to fast I wouldn't have any desire to read the word of God I wouldn't have any desire to do anything but once you really fall in love with Jesus and fall in love with his word then you find out that God wants you to be him going about giving somebody some some some some uh what?

[12:12] some auction of the Holy Ghost telling them you can't make it come on let's get going somebody's just waiting for you to come by and push them jump start them because their batteries did amen somebody's waiting for you to come somebody's waiting for you to come people are dying waiting for you to come and we get running here a couple times a weekend and we hadn't prayed we haven't done anything hallelujah hallelujah we need we need the power to be able to praise and to worship God our creator Jesus Christ in the spirit and in the truth amen a lot of folks worship him in the spirit and they don't have time for preaching a lot of folks worship him in the truth and they don't have time for worshiping and shouting and dancing amen but how many believe that God wants us to be equal you know have our equilibrium balanced in there so we get we praise God we shout we sing we dance and then we then we get the word of God that tells us why we what we have that makes us able to shout and praise and dance can you say amen the word Greek word for for for in do is is e n dash d o o dash o in do oh can you say amen in do it means to absorb into a cloth but tarry until you be in in do until something absorbs in you you ever go out and kill any wild game to kill any wild game is kind of a got a a lot of times a strange taste to it but if you will soak it in salt water overnight pulls that wild taste out of it can you say amen you know that's what in do it means to allow something to soak into you amen the word of God has got to soak into you it can't be just something that's out here on your sleeve that you can just dust it off you know you just put it on when you come to church or you dust it off when you go outside the doors of church till you get ready to come back it's got to be soaked into you it's got to be something that's a part of your being amen it says to soak into the Hebrew word for it is la bash la w-b-a-s-s-s it means to wrap around to put on a garment or a mantle like Elijah did Elijah like we do the prayer show amen to be endued with power means to be wrapped up in the power of the Holy Ghost to be wrapped up tied up and tangled all up in Jesus to he's your life he's your strength he's everything that you ever were or ever hoped to be hallelujah the Hebrew word for power is ooze

[14:38] O-Z-E you might pronounce that ooze I'm not sure how you pronounce it but it means to have strength it means to to force to be secure it means to have majesty and praise and boldness and might in other words endued with God's divine strength of the Holy Ghost power so that we can war we can stand in the gap for our brothers and sisters that are outside of the ark of safety and we can war against the world we can war against the flesh and we can war against the devil how do we do that how do we do it honey first you've got to be endued with power and if you realize you don't have any power you're just going to lay down your arms when the devil comes around and say I surrender don't hit me amen instead of jumping up full of power and the Holy Ghost and say devil you picked on the wrong one this time because I've been praying I've been reading my Bible and now I'm ready to come in and we're going to go to war amen the Bible said if we go to war in our land if the trumpet give an uncertain sound how would they that hear the sound know what it is if it's an uncertain sound amen but if that trumpet is charged when the devil comes then you chase him from out of town amen it means when the devil comes around he's going to check you out to say are you ready to fight or can I push you around the devil is a bully the devil is a bully he wants to bully you around he'll push you he'll make you do things you don't want to do and you're just a little meek and quiet and you just keep on backing up and backing up and back reminds me of that little dog had a big dog chased him all the way down the street and around the corner and up through the gate of the fence and up on the front porch of the house but honey when the little dog hit the front porch of the house he turned around and the little dog said I can't run any further it's time to fight amen

[16:18] I think it's time some of us turned around and said it's time to fight I'm not going to be pushed any further when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man that walketh through dry places seeking rest and finding none he comes to that house he comes to his house where he was kicked out of amen and when he finds it empty what's that mean that means we come to church we ask Jesus Christ to save us we repent of our sins and he washes us and he cleanses us amen and we're empty he cleanses out of all the old sin that we had stacked up inside of us and we're adorned we're decked out we're garnished and he said huh no Holy Ghost in there yet oh they speak with tongues but you know they ain't got that fire power how much fire power do you have amen the Bible said then he goes to get seven and he said I'm not going I'm not going to let them do this again I can see now that they're fooling around with something that's dangerous to me so I'm going to go get seven demons worse than me and I'm going to come back and we're going to enter into that person now we're going to fully possess them amen honey it's a dangerous thing that once you have felt and know the power of God to fool around with the power of the devil because they'll come back and they'll possess you it's better never to have known the way than to know the way and to turn from it because then it's accomplished what that saying that the dog has returned to his vomit think about that you ever see an old dog he'll regurgitate out on the ground and then he'll stand around there and lick it all back up the very thing that made him sick he's going to eat it again amen you know when we when we came to Jesus Christ we were sick of the world flesh and the devil and we regurgitated that out but then sooner or later you know somebody says something about us or preacher didn't shake our hand and we didn't get to sing or testify or something and then we get mad we go right back outside you know what we do we stop at that same thing we regurgitate it up and we lick it all back up and we say let's go back amen but hey

[18:09] I'm not a them that's going back but I'm a them that's going on can you shout amen I'm not looking for an excuse to quit or to get mad at somebody and not come to church I'm looking for every reason that when I get here I'm going to get in the spirit and I'm going to praise God and I'm going to magnify and I'm going to lift him up and somebody shout amen amen hallelujah hallelujah thank you Jesus let me tell you what happens when the power of God comes upon you how does here's what I wrote down how does God expect us to act in the war when he has delivered us from the powers of the devil can you say amen turn with me over here to the book of Exodus 14th chapter 15th chapter amen let's read here in Exodus 15 hallelujah somebody say praise the Lord Exodus 15 page 80 in your deck Bible see what it says here amen this is how God expects us to act and what he expects us to do when God has delivered us he says then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song to the Lord and spake saying

[19:14] I will sing it to the Lord for he hath triumphed gloriously the horse and the rider has he drowned into the sea can you shout amen what was he shouting about what were they singing about listen he tells you all here in the song he said and I will prepare him in habitation and my father's God and I will exalt him and the name the Lord is a man of war the Lord is his name the Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea he has chosen captains also and drowned in the sea the depths have covered them and they sank unto the bottom as a stone thy right hand O Lord has become glorious in power thy right hand O Lord hath dashed in pieces the enemy and in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee thou hast sent forth thy servant them which consumed them as stubble and with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together and the flood stood upright and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea and the enemy said

[20:15] I will pursue listen to what the devil is saying you think you got out of the grass to the devil the devil is saying I will pursue after them listen to what he said I will overtake them I will divide the spoil and my lust shall be satisfied upon them and I will draw out my sword and mine hand shall destroy them see the devil has got too many wheels listen to what the devil said he said I will he said I will pursue I will overtake I will divide the spoil I will draw my sword and my hand shall destroy them thou didst blow with thy wind the sea covered them they sank as lead in the mighty waters who is likened to thee oh God oh Lord among the gods who is likened to thee glorious in power fearful in praise doing wonders thou stretchest forth thine right hand and the earth swallowed them up thou when thy mercy has led forth them which thou hast redeemed thou hast guided them in the strength of thy holy habitation this is talking about when God led the children of Israel out of Egypt can you say amen we led them down to the dead sea the red sea rather into an impossible situation a mountain on the left mountain on the right and the devil coming behind them and a sea in front of them hallelujah

[21:29] God said Moses said God what are we going to do what are we going to do and God said hey what have you got in your hand there son he said I got the rod he said stretch forth thy rod out over the sea what happened what was on the rod that made it any different than anybody else's rod it had the name amen started out in Exodus 3 as the rod of Moses Exodus 4 20 it became the rod of God amen hallelujah and God's rod and God's power and God's authority was in that post and that rod amen and when he stretched it out now what happened when they got on the other side drop on here down with me to the 20th verse what happened when they got on the other side amen this is what happens and every time that we should remember the victory that God gave amen listen to what he said he said and Miriam the prophetess and the sister of Moses took a timbrel in her hand sister of Aaron took a timbrel in her hand and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances and Miriam answered them saying sing ye to the Lord for he hath triumphed gloriously the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea that is an example of what God wants us to do when we are endued with power that God wants us to shout and to sing and to praise God and to recall the times that he delivered us amen just as sure as he delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt by an impossible situation and he gave them the blood the fire and the water honey

[23:00] God has delivered us with the same powerful power of God by his right hand and he has given us the blood the fire and the water you think they only sang that song one time no he said honey every time that you get the victory sing this song God is our deliverer when everything is going wrong my God it is still going to come through because I am on the winning side hallelujah when everybody says you are going down honey you can't go down because you are going over you are going through because Jesus said I will never leave you I will never forsake you I will go with you all the way even to the ends of the earth when your earth has made its last heaven God I can't go any further reminds me of that story about the footprints in the sand hallelujah one man he died and he went to heaven and he looked back over his life and he saw down through the sands of time there was two footprints and he said what are those footprints and he said son that's me and you walking together hand in hand through life he said but what about when I was going through the hard time there's only one set of footprints there where were you at then God he said honey those are my footprints because it was then that I was carrying you amen but he said

[24:08] I'll never leave you and I'll never forsake you honey I don't know what you think about but I take that personal my Lord he's my Lord he's my God he's my Savior he's my Redeemer he's my Keeper he's my Sustainer he's my Power he's my Strength amen he's everything he's everything he's everything to me hallelujah hallelujah Acts the second chapter let's read that real quick hallelujah somebody say praise the Lord we all know Acts the second chapter the first four verses but let's just read it to bring back some things to remembrance to our minds everybody knows that we're nothing we're nobody we can't do anything and that's very true we have no power a lot of times we're above all men most miserable can you say amen hallelujah this is what he says in Acts the second chapter I want to read the first four verses and when the day of Pentecost was fully come now I don't have to I could take you back and draw you out all these pictures you know but I think well they already know all that we know that God gave them the blood sign in Egypt amen take the blood of the Lamb take it in on the 10th day keep it up to the middle of the 14th day kill it on the 14th day take the blood put it up in a bowl and put it in a hyssop bush and put it on the doorpost and on the lintel that's a type of the blood of Jesus Christ amen who was slain for hours amen he did it once for them but my Lord honey when Jesus Christ came the Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world came in time when the fullness of time was come

[25:35] God came forth and sent his own son in the formless of man and the likeness of sinful man and poor man condemned sin in the flesh amen and when he had offered once for all his body for sin amen his blood was shed and now that it is it is a blood that covers and washes away all sin can somebody say amen that we don't have to you know the blood of bulls and goats just covered up sin for a time and the next year the high priest had to go in and do it one more time and they were always offering ordinances and sacrifices and blood sacrifice but this man once for all Paul wrote in the book of Hebrews once for all did he shed his blood amen we got the blood when we got saved where'd you get the blood at when you were in Egypt amen hallelujah and when they started out of Egypt what did God give them now they wasn't out of Egypt yet they were still in the devil's domain but God gave them the cloud and the fire Exodus 13 and 20 amen he gave them a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night so that they could go by day and by night some people oh they get a little just a little bit of night oh I'm going through a night season

[26:36] I think I'll stay home for a month or so honey if you knew anything about the word of God it's in the night season that we need to draw close to him it's in the night season when we need him more than we ever did before and that's the last thing you want to do is get away from him I don't know about you you afraid of the dark I'm afraid of spiritual darkness I'm not afraid of natural darkness I'm afraid of spiritual darkness amen when the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ go down in your heart honey then there is no there is no more sacrifice for sin read Hebrews 10 36 amen the remain of no sacrifice for sin amen if that light of the gospel of Jesus Christ goes out in you then you don't see your need well I'm as good as they are that's the dumbest thing you can ever say what's that got to do with it ain't got nothing to do with it amen that's what he says here and when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from heaven what came from heaven a sound from heaven what did the sound sound like like a like a rushing mighty wind and then what happened fill the house where they were sitting can't you just hear it can't you just hear it now it didn't say it was a wind it said there was a sound of a wind amen come from where'd it come from come from heaven man I heard a sound of a mighty rushing men about last year when that tornado hit down at Calhoun amen and it filled all the house where we were and we hit the floor how do amen and cloven tongues like as a fire lit upon each one of them and each one began to speak in tongues as the spirit of

[28:20] God gave them utterance can you say amen and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost everybody say all filled all filled all filled you know what the shame is it's to come to a Pentecostal Jesus name holy roller shouting church and not be filled with the Holy Ghost not be full of it not be full of it not be full of it you know why we don't we're not full of it we don't desire it he said I will withhold no good thing from those who walk up right before me but if we put anything before him then we're not desiring we're desiring that other thing more than we desire God can you say amen listen they had to tarry until he said he said but tarry in Jerusalem until you be in due with power from on high and then when the day of Pentecostal was full they were in due with that power can you say amen he said they were baptized with fire I like that fire baptized sound how many want to be baptized with fire they were baptized with the Holy Ghost we got a lot of churches today baptized see amen but they ain't got the fire what is it about that fire honey that fire makes you unacceptable to the rest of the world because your life is so straight that they feel uncomfortable in their sins that they are still doing forget about the rest

[29:39] I'm talking about Riverside amen because somebody really gets full of the word of God and the spirit of God and the power of God they get around you the flesh and the devil they want to talk about God and you say man are just one of them religious fanatics man there's not a greater compliment that they could pay you have you heard that saying that they are so heavenly minded they're of no earthly good because most people are so earthly minded they're of no heavenly good can you say amen how many wants to be so heavenly minded that you're no earthly good amen that's the greatest state that you can be in hallelujah hallelujah oh my lord hallelujah miriam took a tambourine and led all the women in a victory dance of joy for the horse and the rider had been drowned in the water that the Israelites had crossed without a Lord what do you think they were doing on the day of Pentecost they got the Holy Ghost!

[31:31] face and they! heard! speaking tongues magnifying and telling about the glorious powerful words of God come on woo I think every time they got refilled refilled refilled the brother man when's the last time you got refilled every time I come to church I get refilled amen I use it out all week long I use it up I use that power up and I come back to church to give me another feeling I got a car and I fill it up with gas and I drive it for a while but after a while gas starts going down you know what happens when gas starts getting low I start worrying well and especially if I'm on a trip going somewhere I don't know how far it is to the next gas station and I got a quarter tank left my light coming on my flashing light honey let me tell you what spiritually some of our warning light is flashing on we're about out of the Holy Ghost power amen and we got to find a filling station amen that we can get filled up with the power and the anointing of the

[32:33] Holy Ghost get endued get it soak into us get wrapped up and tangled up in the Holy Ghost if you do that you won't have any problem living right the devil won't be able to tempt you he'll say oh here smoke a cigarette drink a beer take another toke on or whatever it is you take a toke on and you'll say you done came too late devil God has delivered me I've been delivered you ain't attempting me oh come on you blow smoke in your face you ain't you hey devil all you doing is choking me but you ain't tempting me to sin because whom the son has set free is free indeed I refuse you devil I rebuke you I don't want you no more I hate you get out of my life woo over here and don't lose your place I'm come back here go over here to second chronicles sixth chapter let me tell you about

[33:34] David David was the king you know a lot of little people can shout I see the whole church shouting with a stinking preacher sitting there on the pulpit you know with his Bible open and his nose pulled way down on his word of God and the Holy Ghost moving and everybody shouting at him you know he look over and look at him but everybody else is shouting he now come on saints y'all shout and I'll go now get with me now I'm going to preach and I'm wondering well you stinking hypocrite why wasn't you with them when they was wanting to shout amen good for the good for the gander David was king he wasn't some little boy he was the king of all Israel can you shout amen and he said and God moved upon him to bring the ark of the covenant back into I'm going to learn it believe me and he's going down the road and he takes about 18 steps and he said here somebody hold my cloak and he and he takes a big crown off his head and he sets it down and he takes that royal robe off and he lays that royal robe down and he said because

[34:50] I feel a shout coming on and King David listen listen read read me right here you got to read it it with all of his power, with all of his strength, with all of his majesty because he was a king.

[35:32] You know what, honey? I don't think that the rest of his entourage that was with him, his armies, his soldiers, his cupbearers, his personal bodyguard, I don't think they stood there and watched the king dance because you did what the king did.

[35:47] Amen? At the king dance, did everybody dance. At the king shouted, everybody shouted. When the king ate, everybody ate. Can somebody say amen? Whoo! Ha!

[35:59] Ha! And David danced before the Lord with all of his might and David was danced, was girded with a... Does anybody know what a linen ephod is?

[36:15] Better than a four, we might recognize it as a prayer shawl because we really don't know what a ephod is. Miriam took a tambourine and led all the women in the victory dance of joy for the horse and the rider had been drowned in the water that the Israelites had crossed without a lloyd.

[36:29] They lifted their feet and began to dance and the golden bells began to ring. They praised the Lord and rejoiced for joy. They were on the way to the promised land. Can you say amen? David got excited when he started for the temple, started for the city with the mighty ark of the Lord.

[36:44] It was the presence of God in the midst of his people, the covenant of his word. So he lifted his feet and he began to dance. See, I'm going to preach on Numbers 15, 25 through 41.

[37:00] Not today. But that's the prayer shawl message. Amen? He commanded them all to put a pomegranate and a bale around the hem of the garments. And he said, then in the corner of your garments, make a fringe, a talus or a tallit.

[37:16] And in that fringe, put a ribbon or a band of blue, a cord of blue to remind you. I'll preach that next Saturday night if it's the Lord's willing. Somebody shout amen. Amen. But David danced.

[37:28] David danced. Woo! David danced. David danced. You know why David danced? What else do you think? God said, this is the man after God's own heart.

[37:40] What do you think seven other brothers passed in front of Samuel, the prophet, that came down to Anon, the next king of Israel. And they said, is this all your sons? We're not going to sit down until that last one that's out there in the field watching them few sheep come back down here and let him walk in front of me.

[37:54] Amen. And when he walked in front of me, you know what God told him? He said, don't look at it. Don't look at it. He said, you're looking like men look. He saw the first one, the oldest, the eldest, the good looking, the wavy blonde hair, the muscles bulging.

[38:06] And he said, surely this is the one. I don't know what you king. And God said, no. He said, for I don't look as man looks. For man looks upon the outward appearance, but I look upon the heart. Amen. Three came by, four came by, five came by, six came by, seven of them all came by.

[38:22] And God said, that ain't it. That ain't it. He's not the one. God, that's all of them. Is this all you got? Is this all that's left? He said, no, I got one young boy out there watching the sheep. He said, go get him because we're not going to eat.

[38:35] We're not going to eat until he gets here. Amen. When he got there, he walked in. God said, that's the one. That's the one. That's the one that's going to be after my heart. That's the one when the enemy comes in like a flood, he's going to lift up a standard.

[38:46] That's the one when Goliath comes in and challenging the children of Israel. He's going to be the one who said, who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he would come against the Lord God, the host of army. Come on.

[38:59] Woo. David danced. I guarantee you before he took off top of that hill to go down there and fight that giant. King Saul came over and said, here, try my armor on, little boy.

[39:14] You're going to have to have this. Man, his armor didn't fit big old bulky metal stuff. He said, I can't dance with that on. You see, God never intended for us to actually fight a battle.

[39:26] He said, I will fight your battles for you. All I want you to do is sing and dance and sing and dance and sing and dance and rejoice and praise me.

[39:42] Amen. When you do that, and you know the story of Jehoshaphat, when you do that, then I will go out and I'll fight the battles for you. The bills you can't get paid, I'll make a way to pay them.

[39:52] Amen. The sickness you can't get over, I'll heal your land. Amen. Whatever you have need of, when you begin to praise me, I will take care of your need. I am the God that healeth thee. He said, if you do all these things I command you today in the book of Exodus, I will allow none of these diseases which came upon the Egyptian to come upon you.

[40:10] Can you shout amen? And what's God want? What does God want from us? He wants a lot of things. He wants all your heart. He wants all your soul. He wants all your mind and all your strength.

[40:22] Most of us serve God half-heartedly. Amen. Amen. Half-heartedly. If there's nothing else to do, I'll have. If the opportunity presents itself instead of you making an opportunity.

[40:36] Amen. Let me tell you what. There's going to be a rapture. There's going to be a catching away. But it's going to be a church that God is going to take out of a church.

[40:47] Not everybody that said, Lord, Lord, are going to enter in. But only those that love the Lord with all of his heart, all of his soul, all of his mind, and all of his strength. Amen. David danced with all of his might.

[40:58] One of the definitions of the Hebrew word, when you look up the word might in the concordance, strong concordance, you're going to find out that it comes from the Hebrew word ooze. He gave him all of his ooze.

[41:10] Listen, he said, Hear, O Israel. He said, God, what is the greatest commandment? They were trying to trip up Jesus and they said, What is the greatest commandment? And he said, Hear, O Israel. The Lord our God is one Lord and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.

[41:29] In other words, God wants us to pray just as hard as we can pray. He wants us to study the word of God just as hard as we can study it. When it comes time to praise and worship, he wants us to do it.

[41:40] He wants us to praise and worship him with everything we got. With all, with all, with all, with all. You know why? Because he has, he has endued us he has wrapped us around.

[41:54] He has clothed us with the Holy Ghost like a garment. Amen? He has endued us with power. Hallelujah. What happened in Acts 2.15?

[42:06] Acts 2.15, what's it say over there? I'll tell you what it says. Listen, it says, For these are not drunken as you suppose, seeing as but the third hour of the day, but this is that.

[42:20] Some folks, you know, they're wandering here from a lot of dead churches across the land. They hear about a fire going on down at Riverside and they're wandering here and they wonder, what is that? One little bitty boy here last night, little blonde-lady boy, I could hear him out here and they was wailing and crying and interceding and all of a sudden I was in the bathroom and I heard somebody knock on the door and opened the door to the bathroom and there's this little boy and he's just crying his eyes out.

[42:43] And they said, well, he is scared to death. He thought he was in a haunted house or something. He's scared. Amen? Hey, that's the way it is because we were praising God. Amen?

[42:53] The Holy Ghost was in this house filling this place. That's why I didn't get to preach until a quarter after 11 because Jesse preached and the other two gentlemen preached and Sister Trina preached and amen.

[43:04] Like if they had sent somebody down here to arrest the preacher, I'd have probably been the last one that I got. They'd have probably left before they got to me and my turn to preach. Amen? Amen? That's the way God wants it to be.

[43:17] He wants you to have so much word stored up inside of you that you're just waiting for God to push the button and instantly you've got a testimony. You've got the power of God and you're just waiting to let it out. Amen?

[43:29] The day of being meek and there is a time to be meek. When I go to someone else's church, I don't jump up, run up front, start shaking like that because I'd scream to death.

[43:45] I don't jump up and start speaking in tongues and get a message if I'm in a Baptist congregation. They come back there and they say, Sir, you need to leave here. I don't know what you got on you but we're going to call the doctor and get your mind checked out or something.

[43:58] Well, honey, when I'm in my house, when I'm in the Lord's house and you come to visit me then I feel so sorry for you if you don't know what's going on because you'd love to jump up and run out the door and say, My Lord, that's the biggest bunch of nuts backer I've ever seen in my life.

[44:16] It's not too bad to be a nut as long as you screwed onto the right bolt and His name is Jesus. Can you say amen? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. The word endued means to be invested, to have a vested interest in.

[44:29] Do you know why God wants us to have the power? When He saved us, it took His blood to wash away our sins and that gave Him a vested interest in us. You know what the word vested interest means?

[44:40] It means to have close involvement in promoting your personal advantage. How many believe that God wants you to get ahead? God wants to be ahead. Hey, He invested His Spirit. He invested His blood.

[44:51] He invested everything in you. He's got a personal stake in you. He's got a vested interest for your personal advantage. In other words, we don't go into a war equal with the devil.

[45:03] We go into a war with the power of God and us to rout the devil. Remember what happened 10 years ago when we went over to Iraq? We had them smart bombs.

[45:14] We could sit home and watch the war on TV and they'd say, see that smoke stack? We're going to put a bomb right down that smoke stack and that bomb would go right there and right down the smoke stack exactly where they placed it. He was on CNN and Russia saw it.

[45:26] What do you think Russia laid down their arms for and they said, wait a minute, boys. We thought we were something big, but we're not even in the same ballpark with them guys that's got that power that they can do that. Amen? Hey, Russia didn't fold up and quit until after that Gulf War because they knew that they were no match.

[45:42] You know what happened to the Iraqis, the armies that were out there in the field and they were dug down in the trenches when they saw the invading army coming? They throwed up their hand. They said, hey, don't shoot us. We quit. Where y'all been?

[45:52] We've been waiting for you. We quit. The devil quits when he knows he's defeated, when he knows that there's a greater power that's against him. But as long as you're patting him on the back and saying, come on, devil, you can make it.

[46:05] Come on. Hey, you're encouraging the devil more than you're encouraging God. Then you're going to lose the battle. Somebody said, but brother, remember what you think is going to happen in that battle over there?

[46:16] Well, on one side, I understand what's going to happen. I know that we have the greatest storm. And woe to them that be sucked with child in those days. Amen? Because it's going to be bad.

[46:27] It's going to be bad. Amen? Hallelujah. So we're right there. We're on that fence. Amen? We may go right into the tribulation period here. The rapture might take place in a moment of the twinkling of an eye. Amen?

[46:38] And we might just go over and mop them up. God said, wait a minute, that's not the right battle. Because there will be wars and rumors of wars. Amen? But the end is not yet. Somebody shout, Amen. The end is not yet. Amen. The end is not yet.

[46:49] Amen. This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel. Amen. And it shall come to pass in the last day, said God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh. Why in the world was all that going on last night?

[47:01] That was, that was, sir, don't you know that you could get hurt doing what you did last night? all that shouting, all that dancing, all that praising.

[47:17] Don't you know you can get hurt? That's why God showed me, you praise him in a dance, not in a trance. That's why when I'm shouting, you don't have to worry about me falling down unless I trip over somebody because I done been there, done that.

[47:33] Neither does God want you to go out and fight the devil with your eyes closed. Where are you at? Come on, I'll whoop you. Well, you size him up and you get him right on the nose. Pop and pop him right in the nose.

[47:45] Amen? Amen. He don't want you swinging in the dark, exerting your energy for nothing. Amen. Get you a clear point of where I'm going to hit him at. You ever told the devil you're going to hit him?

[47:57] Listen, Mr. Devil, walk. You need this whipping I'm going to give you. This is that, this is that, this is that.

[48:08] Can you imagine? Can you imagine? They had been reading Joel for, for 800 years. Amen. And finally, the scripture was fulfilled. This is that which was prophesied by the prophet Joel when he said in the last days, I'm going to pour out my spirit upon all fast.

[48:21] You're going to be endued with power from on high. Endued with power. Endued with power from on high. Amen. How many wants to get this ooze, this mighty strength and power to be endued, to have it soaked in you so that when you go outside, you don't lay it off like a garment.

[48:39] I want to, I want to be a sponge. I want to soak it up. Soak it up. Amen. But the devil don't want you to know who you are and what you have. You shall receive power.

[48:50] I have to hold it, I have to hold it, I have to hold it, I have to speak in tongues. Well, what can you do? I can speak in tongues. But what do you do when the devil comes around and I just speak in tongues? You remember the story about Fifi? Fifi, the little dog?

[49:05] You wanted to leave and Fifi runs out there and she barks around your feet and you say, now get back to the house, Fifi, I'm going on a trip, you can't go. And Fifi goes, ak, ak, ak, ak, ak, ak, ak, ak, ak, ak, and Fifi just running around your feet waiting to tell, Fifi, now get back to the house.

[49:20] And then finally he's like, Fifi, get back to the house, get out of here. Oh, Fifi stucks her tail through in her leg. Same way of the devil, now listen devil, I'm going to church tonight but you can't go.

[49:35] You stay home now and the devil says, I want to go, I want to go, I want to go, I want to go, I want to go, I want to go, I want to go, I want to go. Come on, come on, if you really want to. You bring the devil to church with you.

[49:46] It's just saying, devil, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus, get out of here. My Lord, I'm taking charge of my life because greater is he that's in me than he that is in the world. Can you shout amen?

[49:58] Can you, come on, can you really shout amen? Hallelujah, hallelujah. In Ephesians, the fourth chapter in the 17th verse. I'm already out of time, I ain't even close to where I want to go but I want to show you some things here real quick.

[50:11] I don't even know if I should go here or not. But Ephesians 4, 17. Let me just start reading right here, I want to read a few lines before they come in. It says, this I say therefore and testify in the Lord that you henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk in the vanity of their minds having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through ignorance that is in them.

[50:38] What is it that separates us from the life of God? He just got through here telling you. Ignorance that is in us and what is ignorance? Ignorance is not knowing the knowledge that is available to you.

[50:51] Amen? Now stupid is there but you can't understand it. You know, and I went through school being stupid all my life. Amen? But when I got saved, God gave me a knowledge that I could understand.

[51:02] Now listen, listen to what separates us from the world. This I say unto you therefore and testify in the Lord that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk in the vanity of their mind having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God.

[51:18] Now what kind of life does God have? What kind of life does God have? What is God afraid of? Who can fight against God? Who can war against God? Nothing, nobody.

[51:29] Then what, if we're connected to His life then who can war against us? Nothing or nobody. But we're alienated from the life of God through ignorance. Listen to what it says.

[51:40] This gets right down. He just stomps all over our toes. That is in them because of the blindness of their heart. Wait a minute, I thought your eyes went blind. No, we can still see with our eyes but we can't see with our heart.

[51:54] You mean your heart's got eyes? Evidently it does. Being alienated from the power of God because of the blindness of their hearts who are being past feeling.

[52:08] Anybody know what happens past feeling? The Bible says he that being often reproved and hardeneth his heart. He that being often reproved and hardeneth his heart shall what?

[52:22] Suddenly be cut off and that without remedy. If the Spirit of God has told you don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't.

[52:34] When I looked up and read what this meant, it meant like thick skin. Like you come to church and you don't feel anything. Well, I went, yeah, there's all up jumping and shouting and hollering.

[52:46] I didn't, I didn't feel anything. There's all down crying, testifying, some of them crawling around on the floor but I didn't feel anything. Honey, what's happened? Your heart's being dark and you're being alienated from the life.

[52:58] I go, what, what, why are they doing it? They're partaking of the life of God. They're getting some ooze. They're getting some power and might and strength. Amen? Listen, let me read the rest of you real quick.

[53:10] They're, they're, because of the blindness of their hearts who being past feeling have given themselves over to lasciviousness to work all uncleanliness with greediness but ye have not so learned Christ and so be that you have heard of him and have been taught of him as the truth is in Jesus Christ that you put off.

[53:29] And I say put off. Concerning the former conversation. And that's just a bad translation because that means your former life. Conversation means something that you talk about but in the word of God when you read conversation that means the way you used to live.

[53:42] The way you used to talk. The way you used to act. The place you used to go in. Put off your former conversation. Amen? The old man. Who you gonna put off? The old man. Now husband, that don't mean put off your wife.

[53:54] That's not what I was talking about. He's not your old man. Because every person has an old man. Every man, every woman got an old man. That you put off the old man which is corrupt according to the deceitful lust.

[54:07] And be renewed in the spirit of the mind. That you put on the new man. Put him on. Put him on. Put him on.

[54:18] How many times somebody shout put him on? What does it mean to be a dude with power from on high? To be wrapped in. To put him on. To soak him up. Amen? That you put on the new man. What's it say? The new man which is after God created in righteousness and true holiness.

[54:33] How is the new man? He is created in righteousness and true holiness. What does God want us to put on? Righteousness and true holiness. Amen? We're for putting away lying.

[54:48] What was in your church yesterday? Oh well. And then you just you know it don't matter the story. What did you fast last week?

[55:00] Oh well. You know which story you don't hear? Why didn't you you know why didn't you testify tonight? Oh well. You know what we're doing?

[55:14] We're alienating ourselves from the power of God. We're for putting away lying. Let every man speak man let every man truth speak every man truth with his neighbor.

[55:28] For we are members of one another. Be angry and sin not and let not the sun go down on your wrath neither give place to the devil. Let him that still still no more but rather let him labor working with his hands to think which is good that he may have to give to him that needeth.

[55:40] Let no corrupt communication proceedeth out of your mouth but that which is good to the use of edifying that it may minister grace unto the hearers and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby you are sealed unto the dead redemption.

[55:50] Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice and be kind one to another tender hearted forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake hath also forgiven you.

[56:03] Can you say amen? Even as God for Christ's sake offer. See we don't realize what power we have. We don't realize what power we have. Somebody help me here real quick. I got a few scriptures here I want you to look up for me real quick before they come in.

[56:17] Amen. Somebody who's going to look up the first one for me? You see I don't want that no I got it back here somewhere. I got so many scriptures I just finished page one everybody's Paul Hire and say page one now we're going to page two.

[56:32] Somebody get Acts 8 okay 14 through 18 somebody get Acts 19 1 through 7 somebody get Romans 1 11 somebody get James 5 14 through 16 okay who had the first one?

[56:49] Listen now I want you to know what kind of power you got. When you when you are full of the spirit when you do like Paul said I beseech you therefore brother by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as living sacrifices holy and acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service and be not conformed to this world.

[57:06] Listen. Listen to what he says. Here is the power that you and I have. This is what God has granted us to do but nobody is manifesting and using this power. You got the first one? Stand up and read. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God hold it right there.

[57:26] Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God they got excited and what did they do? They sent somebody to them. And they sent they sent unto them Peter and John who Hey hey they didn't send somebody you know they didn't send somebody real low way down on the bottom of this they sent the two head hogs and the whole kitten caboodle amen.

[57:49] Who when they were come down prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost for as yet he was fallen upon none of them only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus then laid their they their hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost and when Simon saw that through like hold it right there hold it right there as far as I want you to go listen when they heard at Jerusalem that those in Samaria had received the Holy Ghost then they sent Peter and John down there amen.

[58:19] Peter and John went down there and said have you have you been baptized or have you received the Holy Ghost and all this he said no we ain't even heard nothing about that and then what'd they do Peter and John said come here we want to lay hands on you what happened when they laid hands on them they received the Holy Ghost how did they get the Holy Ghost they tarried all day and all night long they tarried for six months they still tarried how did they get the Holy Ghost how did they get the Holy Ghost wait a minute you ain't read it right yet read it again through the laying on their hands are you trying to tell me that you think we got the power to impart the Holy Ghost to somebody what is wrong with you don't you know that they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost oh do you believe that do you believe they laid their hands on them hey who had the next one huh huh 19 1-7 and it came to pass that while

[59:23] Apollos was at Corinth Paul having passed through the upper coast came to Ephesus and finding certain disciples he said unto them have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed and they said unto him we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost and he said unto them unto what then were you baptized and they said unto John's baptism then said Paul John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him that is on Christ Jesus when they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and when Paul had laid his hands upon them the Holy Ghost came upon them listen how did he get the Holy Ghost when Paul did what when Paul did what when Paul did what did do when he laid his hands upon them amen hey oh

[60:24] I'm not through yet who got the next one who got the next one huh who who had who had Romans 111 yeah for I long to see you that you may impart unto you that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift wait a minute wait a minute for I long to see you that I may impart unto you you mean you can impart spiritual gifts does that make sense who said that Paul did Paul said that yeah read it one more time read it one more time for I long to see you that I may impart unto you spiritual gifts to the end you may be established why do we need spiritual gifts so that we can be established amen there was one more scripture come on hold on one more scripture James 5 14 through 60 who's got it who's got it is any sick among you let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him wait a minute wait a minute I want to go back up a couple scriptures before that 13

[61:27] I want to go to 13 5 13 listen is any among you afflicted you know what afflicted means if you got a day can I tell you right over there on the side that means something that is bothering you besides sickness that that you know you're under attack by the devil or something things going wrong you're afflicted you're in your spirit but it's you know it's not a physical thing it's a spiritual devil coming at you what are you going to do when a spiritual devil comes at you is any among you afflicted let him pray is any Mary let him sing psalms is any is any sick among you let him call for the elders of the church let him pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer of the faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up and if any have committed sin they shall forgive him confess all your faults one to another and pray one for another that ye may be healed amen now what are they going to do is any sick among you what are they going to do call on the elders of the church amen what's the elders of the church going to do amen hey they're going to pray the prayer of faith they're going to lay hands on them and the prayer of faith shall save the sick and the
